    Made claim 10/15/19 for iPhone 7s received the wrong device for a replacement iPhone 6s. Worst customer service ever. I was told to return the device & refile claim, did as asked. Called many times no device or reimbursement till this day, been hung up on. Someone help me, I took my phone to be repaired to the Apple store. Paid out of pocket. They said they said they received the return device 10/31 & I sent it 10/19. I was told I have to wait an additional 10 days for reimbursement. Today I was told by Richard that I have to wait an additional 10 days. All these representatives have been adding confusing notes. I don’t know what to do anymore, do I just let them keep my $99. They should reimburse for my out of pocket expense of $160. This is not how you treat customers, this is not a free service.

    Although the service was fast, after paying over a year of insurance fees and $99 phone replacement. In the fine print it states I will receive a phone of equal or better quality. I received a replacement phone with even less battery health than my old phone. I was then told to send my new replacement phone to Apple for repair. So I called Apple. They repaired my old phone. I have returned your replacement phone via Fed Ex. I ask upon receipt I be reimbursed the $99, I will then cancel my insurance.

    I received really bad service, I've been without a phone for almost 2 weeks. I was told the device was returned because my apartment number was missing. The driver didn't attempt to give the device to the management office at my complex as they have in the past. The device was returned and I'm still waiting and at this point don't know how long I will be without a phone. That is the only phone that l have. I was never offered any other options such as overnight shipment. This experience is one for the records, I'll never forget this experience.     Went into San Ysidro to replace lost or stolen phone. Filling out claim discovered address on file was my residence I sold 5 years ago and I asked why - how did you know my address of 5 years ago, my time with T-Mobile being only one year. Terminated my request for replacement cause didn't have security code. Returned after one week to try again. This time was given security code and filled out claim. Left and returned for status, called insurer and was told a photocopy of I D was required. Sales rep sent copy to insurer's office. Third week, still no phone. Returned to San Ysidro store and inquired about status, was told to go on internet to find out. (No phone, no access.) Insurer called again, need to pay $150 to start claim.

    Frustrated, went to Plaza Americas store a few days later. Advised them of problems. They filed my claim that day. A week later received phone, went to Plaza store to activate and upgrade. Was told I have to pay for nonservice month. Was advised credit is discretion of San Ysidro store manager, request rejected. Paid for nonservice month then requested the upgrade and was told cost is an additional $200. Stayed with replacement phone. Frustrating, all could have been done the first visit had I went to Plaza first. Insulting because had conduct been initially like Plaza, I would have only lost for a week instead of four weeks. Damning cause forced to pay for month of no service and refused upgrade cause couldn't pay the additional $200.

    My claim was processed on 10-26-19. Was sent out next day air on the 28th. It is now 11-4-19 and I still do not have my device. I have called Assurant, and they haven't been able to locate the device nor will they send me another one. UPS started an investigation to see what happened. When I ask to speak with an Assurant supervisor, they transfer me to T-Mobile and UPS. T-Mobile tried to contact Assurant to investigate and they would not help them either. Horrible experience and garbage customer service.

    Made a claim for a lost phone. Was sent the wrong phone! It's now 3 weeks later and still have no phone! Every time I speak to someone they say it will be another 24-48 hours. Well it's now been 3 weeks! Worst customer service ever, they say they can't do anything about it but it's their fault. I just want my money back and they say they can't do that.     You should ask your customers preference on how They want delivery made (no signature required should give the driver to drop something off on someone's porch for easy thief which happen in my case). Or the Customer should be allowed to say they would to pick up replacement device at local post office and the delivery driver just needs to leave a receipt notifying that the device is at the post office.     I had the worst experience. I paid $100 for a placement only to be sent a defective phone. I called Tmobile tried to replace so wouldn’t have to wait a whole other week. Tried to go in to replace, they said I couldn't because the phone was defective so I had to send the defective phone and wait a whole other 4 days to receive another phone.     I'm fairly certain that between your automated menu and your customer service reps, you all function at the bare minimum standards. A phone I was supposed to have in two days took over two weeks to receive due to your company consistently dropping the ball, and even though I've recieved my phone, the issue STILL isn't resolved. I would sooner spend another thousand dollars to buy a new phone than to ever have to deal with the total incompetence your company possesses again.

    The dang replacement phone looks great. Only thing is trying to place sim card in the replacement phone. The slide that carried sim card into replacement phone jammed not in completely.     Although I did get my phone, everything else about this was terrible. First I got bad info on how to get my Id to them. Then it got sent to the wrong address and in attempt to be able to pick it up at FedEx, spent 40 min on the phone and 45 min drive to find out it had been sent back. Then trying to get the new one got hung up on 4 times and told my story 8 in attempt to have it sent to me again. Oh, and another 45 min on the phone.     I had my phone stolen on 10/25/19. I submitted a claim with T-MOBILE ASSURANT on 10/27/19. I was told that I would receive my phone within 2-3 business days. It is now 4 days later and when I called this morning they said that I need to send in my ID. I offered them to send my ID since day 1. They said that they did not need it. Now 4 days later they say I do. Then to add insult to monetary injury they are saying it's going to take another 24 hours to review the ID and then 3-5 days from that time to process my CLAIM.

    These people don't care about their customers and the inconvenience they are causing. I have a business account and that is my main business line. I have apps on that phone that allow me to show homes, which I cannot do without my phone. I explained to them that their unnecessary long wait time is affecting my business in a huge way. I don't make money unless I'm showing houses. They don't care about that. They said there is nothing they can do and if I want to contact corporate I will need to snail mail! Unacceptable! It's time to contact the BBB and online review sites as well as social media. DO NOT PAY INSURANCE FROM THESE CROOKS! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CONSUMERS! Please help me spread the word on this company. They need us to make them care.

    Technically I filed a claim about my iPhone XR that went missing. I called T-Mobile representatives service then everything went well. I got the replacement phone in 5 days. Somehow somebody return the phone that I claim I lost then I called an Assurant agent to let them know I found my phone. He clearly said, "We glad you found your phone. We will send you a label so you could send us the claim phone back not the replacement phone and we will reimbursed you the deductible money once we get the phone."     The original sales rep I spoke with when I filed the claim for my phone being stolen was nice. After that point the last two sales reps were unprofessional and just seemed to flat out lie. I was originally told I was receiving a Samsung Galaxy S8 because they didn't have any S7 only the S8 and above. Then while I am in the process of paying the $150 fee, I was told all that was available were S7s. I was told by a higher up sales rep there is no control over inventory even if on the written claim you're to receive a specific phone. Then on top of that I didn't get the phone the next day like how written text says I would.

    It was 2 days after I paid the $150 fee when I received the phone. It was already a headache having my phone stolen then having the unprofessional inconvenience from your sales representatives to worsen the situation. The idea of paying for insurance is to ease and expedite a bad situation but in this case I experienced the complete opposite. The only thing positive in this situation was that I'm a fan of Samsung products. Everything else was deplorable.

    The process to file a claim was rather simple, however the phone that was shipped had issues, causing me to make 3 separate trips to my U.S. Cellular location for help. The agent at this location contacted tech support to try and resolve the issue and it was unable to be resolved. Another claim was filed. My attempt to do this was met with questions. The person I talked with didn't want to send me another phone, as the one I sent in the first time had not been received yet and she kept asking if I had another phone I could use in the meantime.     It's very hard to get to speak with a real person not a robot. They keep telling you to use the web site. The web site was down more than it was up.     To be honest, I've never been more dissatisfied with a service company as I am today. First, I didn't know that the replacement unit was going to be refurbished. Then, The replacement came with a lot of problems. 1- Portion of screen not functioning. 2- Device came encrypted. Three and by far the worst, the device will shut off randomly and the last time it did, it turned on and the screen popped up the keyboard and sounded like someone was trying to unlock the device at 3:30 am while I was sleeping.

    The constant transfer from Assurant to T-Mobile and then back to Assurant was distasteful and the Assurant Rep. sending me to a T-Mobile store to supposedly "Pick-up a new device free of charge" became a huge waste of time. The sales rep at T-Mobile told me that I would have to wait for the device to get to them so I can go pick it up and there would be a $5.00 fee at that time. I learned my lesson.     I originally called to start claim process. I had assumed it had been completed but was told I had to speak with Apple Care. I was transferred but was hung up on when the call was answered. I called the number back, provided all info, explanation and was hung up on/disconnected again. Waited for call back. Never received one. Called again. Nobody could figure out why I had to speak with them in regards to the claim. I was transferred several times without an answer. Then was directed back to Assurant. Had to go through the whole claims process again. Because of all the run-around I didn’t get my replacement phone until that Monday. The Fedex driver, while being watched in our outside cameras, walked close to the door and threw/tossed the package to the doorstep.

    (Luckily the phone had no physical damage, this time!) She never knocked on the door even with a car being parked in the driveway. The package came in my ex-husband’s name?? (He is not on my account nor has he ever been, there should actually be notes from when the account was first made that he shall have nothing to do with my account) The paperwork in the package also has his name and his phone number (which is not on my account what-so-ever) as the contact number, as well as the email I received?? Even though It is my phone/account and my name was provided throughout the entire process. Fortunately, I received the phone instead of it ending up in the wrong hands and having even more problems.

    When we called the rep was very good in following our request to replace the phone and send it to my daughter at college. From that point the service went downhill. There was a certification form to be filled out. It was emailed to me and instructions were to upload it. No upload function on the website. The form was online and I had to certify there, one day lost. Then I was notified to turn off the find my phone app. Another two days lost which could have been avoided if told the first day to turn it off. Then the phone was sent to my old home address and not to my daughter at school who was now without a working phone for 5 days. To straighten that out took another 2 days.

    Finally the phone was shipped 10 days after filing the claim. If the correct information the first rep took down was used we could have avoided the some of the delays. Not apprising me of the cert form online and turning off find my phone by the first rep was also a delay. Not a good system and poor communication between the different parties involved in replacing the phone.

    Aspirant customer service was appalling. The service initially sent a replacement phone and then stopped shipment the day it was supposed to arrive and never notified us. When we contacted them to inquire why they claimed that T-MOBILE denied the claim. We contacted T-Mobile and they told us that they never denied the claim. T-Mobile customer service representative - Joseph rep. #** called Assurant with me on the line and even when he explained that T-Mobile did not deny the claim, the Assurant representative said we had to write a formal letter to Assurant to protest the action. The T-Mobile rep. Told her that the issue should be resolved by her and that mailing a letter to Assurant would not resolve the mistake for weeks.

    Meanwhile, I was without a phone for my entire 3 week trip. The Assurant rep. Literally lied to us by claiming that T-Mobile denied the claim and continued to deny the facts even when the T-Mobile rep said that they did not deny the claim! This was outrageous behavior and it took a week for us to have our $49 fee returned to us. So Assurant took our money, accepted our initial claim, then denied the claim the day the phone was supposed to be deliver, never notified us that the claim was denied, then lied about the reason for the denial. This was totally unacceptable behavior. I am disgusted with how we were treated.

    I had to repeatedly file my claim online and over the telephone. Every time I filed it online and save it the website stated I'd be able to continue anytime. This was absolutely false because when I called I had to totally restart my claim from the beginning. And I was charged $99. This $99 was way too much for the deductible for this phone. Monthly the phone cost almost $30. And the claim was filed because the screen cracked due to a manufacturers problem or just a defects from handling somewhere. I believe I was not responsible for the crack that was caused. And Assurant should have granted my claim free of deductible.

    Disappointed to the fact that I got charge $175.00 for my phone replacement while my spouse phone replacement cost was $99.00. I understand that I filed a first claim last Feb this year, during that time I didn't have money to pay for the replacement.     I had been having problems with my LG phone for about 3 or 4 months and it seemed to be getting worse. I took it into T-Mobile where I purchased it not quite 3 years ago.     I have been with T-Mobile for approximately 15 years and in the past I have had very bad experience with Assurant Customer Service but the last 2 or 3 times I have had wonderful experience. I had spoken to Alex (customer service rep.) and David, the supervisor. They were both very professional and were extremely polite and kind. They knew what they were doing and it was a breath of fresh air to speak to such wonderful and great professionals. In my humble opinion, they should both get some kind of monetary incentives or promotions. A pat on the shoulder is great but after all we all work for $$$ and Assurant should recognize them for their professionalism.

    As for the 2nd time, I had spoken to Stacey (customer service rep.) and Jennifer, the Supervisor. Again, in my humble opinion, both Stacy and Jennifer should be recognized by some kind of promotions or money incentives. Like, I said above we all work for $$$ and it would be wonderful to promote these young professionals mentioned above. Alex, David, Stacey and Jennifer are overqualified for their job. You must have had a shuffle in the customer service department. In the past, I was sure one of these customers would bring a class-action lawsuit against Assurant because of the poor customer service.     Was told that my deductible was 99$ but Assurant charged me 249 saying because I would receive a brand new device and because I didn’t have my device to turn in but I received a refurbished device as they had put different color cables and ear phones in the box and a refurbished label was on it! Then they also took 5 days to investigate and author the replacement after I was told 2 days then told 3 days and I called the next Monday still was awaiting auth. It finally was authorized the following Tuesday or Wednesday which I told them all the same thing. Not only was I told all different things but I had my time wasted, by them having me call back at 24 hours and 48 hours then on the following Monday!! I would not recommend them to anyone!!!!

    To whom it may concern: Last Monday, October 14th, my wife accidentally dropped her iPhone 6S plus into the water, rendering it unserviceable. Later the same day, I made a claim on our Protect 360 plan which I was told covers accidental damage due to water spill. This claim was approved, my deductible payment was accepted and the new phone shipped to the requested address. It never arrived; I received an e-mail notification that my deductible has been refunded with absolutely no explanation. Tracking shows the package was returned to sender at sender's request.

    Today I called Assurant and spoke with Rick, who was very helpful but told me the claim had been denied and the only way to get an explanation was to write to you directly. I would very much like to know why this perfectly legitimate claim was denied. I called T-mobile, who, after quite some pushing, the supervisor there, Jazzy, called Assurant in a group call with myself. We spoke with Anya who couldn't give us any more information, so we asked for her supervisor. Pam tried her hardest to help but the only information she had was that Assurant had denied the claim due to "misrepresentation" and that she could do nothing to re-initiate a claim.

    Misrepresentation? Am I being accused of lying over this claim? I would like to know on what grounds you based this judgment? Whilst speaking with Pam the only thing I could think of was that as my 55th birthday was October 13th, and we had done some celebrating, perhaps I mistook the date of the incident for the 13th but she assured me this was not the case. I had reported the correct date and time of the incident and I believe all details are true and correct. So, I do not understand how I could possibly be accused of "misrepresentation".

    My wife definitely dropped her phone into the bottom of our dinghy, which had some water in it. The phone definitely got wet and stopped working. I still have the old phone ready to return to whomever. My wife is now very distressed that she could be without a phone for an extended period of time; this phone is her main contact for work and ensuring continued service was a major factor in our decision to purchase insurance from you. Her sick mother now cannot contact her. This denial has of course dramatically undermined my faith in Assurant as a reliable company. Jazzy of T-mobile had never heard of such a case where my only recourse is to send you a letter in writing and couldn't understand why your representative could not provide more details.

    If you continue to deny this claim I will be forced to seek legal advice to be reimbursed for the monies I have spent on your premiums and damages according to the frustration and inconvenience experienced, as well as emotional stress and possible loss of income. I am also considering defamation of character for your completely unfounded assumption of misrepresentation. I look forward to your prompt attention and response. Yours Faithfully, Craig. PS, what makes this even more perplexing is the fact that if you did not receive the damaged phone back within a few days you were authorized to charge me for the full cost of a new phone, so were already covered 100% for any "misrepresentation". Completely baffling and unacceptable.

    Dealing with the people at Assurant is one of the worst experiences ever. They told me that my claim had been chosen by the computer for review and would take at least 3-5 days. Yes they have a matching replacement phone. No, they don't know if they'll have one in 3-5 days. No they can't tell me why my claim was chosen for review. No they can't help me. They suggested I purchase a different phone to use during the review period. REALLY. For no reason should they be called the customer care team. In reality, my phone shipped the same day and arrived the following day. Only for that reason did they receive 3 stars.
