    6+ weeks trying to get my replacement phone after I dropped a large glass pepper grinder on my screen while making dinner. The phone worked at first, then slowly kept getting worse until it didn't work at all. Problems uploading my ID when I initially filed my claim with Assurant. Then I didn't receive the phone (so much for "overnight" shipping). Then I received an incompatible phone. I sent it back. I didn't receive the replacement replacement phone (we are 10 days in now, me a single mom with 2 kids and no phone). Asked for a refund, finally got that. Couldn't have the phone fixed like I had planned so I again tried my luck with Assurant. Couldn't upload ID. Didn't receive my phone, again. Received an incompatible phone, AGAIN.

    I switched to Verizon from Visible because Assurant sent a Verizon phone, which was incompatible with my carrier. I had explained the third time around with Assurant all of the issues I had had, and after 6 weeks I was DONE messing with this company. I walked into the Verizon store on Christmas Eve and walked out 10 minutes later with a working phone and new phone number because I couldn't transfer mine. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! Now I have to switch my phone number with all important entities and none of this would have happened if Assurant had just sent me a compatible phone to begin with! A JOKE!

    Customer service was great and response time was also great. My only issue, a big one, was with the device that got shipped to me. Earpiece on the phone sounds muffled and distant, have to make calls on speakerphone. I called to see if I can get another device shipped to me and this will cause me to be without a phone for several days. They said they will not be able to ship me another phone until they receive a shipping tracking number from FedEx from me. Again, customer service was great, I just wish y'all could send a phone while I use the one that doesn't work. Thank you for your reading.

    I was locked out of my truck when I called for roadside service, which is part of my plan. I was asked for my agreement number, but it was locked inside my truck. They could not find my account and then told me it was expired, and I would have to pay out of pocket, I called back to get reimbursed, and they wanted the receipt. How am I supposed to have the receipt when I paid them directly on the phone at the time of incident?

    ASSURANT gave me the worst service I have ever encountered. The promised 24-48 hours turned into 16 days, causing me to make follow up calls times 3. Each time they took the exact same info, and their faulty system kept telling me that my zip code was inaccurate, tho it was not! They finally got it sent, not to me, but left on the doorstep of a community member who needed to ask around to find out who I was, & it finally got to my relatives late on Friday night.

    ASSURANT was aware that I had to leave the state for a Christmas Event 2 days prior to the day they sent it, yet gave no extension on the required date for return of damaged phone - with notice of a charge of almost 300 $ if not returned on time! So my relative had to drive 35 miles to the nearest Fed-Ex to overnight it to me - additional cost to me of 50 $. With the 200 $ deductible, 10 $ monthly for the insurance, & 50 $ to meet ASSURANT deadlines, it cost me 300 dollars to repair this phone worth less than 400 $. Needless to say, I have cancelled my account with ASSURANT, & will never recommend them to anyone.

    This was a terrible experience. I've been paying insurance for years for our cell phones and when we actually need to use it we got terrible service. The Iphone replacement that was sent to me was also damaged and didn't work correctly. When I called Assurant back to inform them about the damaged phone, they deferred me back to Tmobile instead of sending me a replacement. T mobile didn't help either, they sent me to Apple. So I got a damaged phone from assurant and they sent me somewhere else to fix their damaged Iphone. I will be cancelling our insurance moving forward. It's not worth it...

    The handling of my claim was done quickly and efficiently. The only problem I am having with this phone is the talking volume is not loud. I can hardly hear who I am talking to over my phone. They are very light and faint and in order to hear I have to be in a quiet environment. I cannot hear what they are saying even if my volume is all the way up. I've checked my settings. Checked all volume prompts and all are up high. The only way I can hear a person clearly and loud is on speaker or when I'm in my car using my Bluetooth. I may need another phone.

    I pay far too much money every month to also have to pay another $100 in the rare occasion I need to claim insurance on my phone. In addition to that having my character questioned when you ask for receipts for a phone registered to my account. To then have to babysit the claim for 2 weeks to actually get the replacement phone.     After cracking my screen and receiving the wrong color, I called and spoke with a phone rep and was given a canned response since they cannot choose the color being sent out. I reached out to Assurant via FB Messenger and received a response saying that someone would take a look at my claim. I received a call with the rep saying that a replacement phone with the correct color was sent that day. The best way to get great customer service is to go through FB Messenger since the phone reps are limited on the info that can be given out.

    I was suppose to get my replacement on a Monday because I made the claim on a Friday. When UPS didn’t show up I checked the tracking number and Assurant entered the wrong address. I contacted UPS to change the address but I couldn’t because the sender created the label with restrictions. Then I contacted Assurant and they did not help at all! They basically told me there wasn’t anything they could do but wait. I work personally with UPS and I know the sender could make adjustments through their account or even intercept the package to be returned to them and while it's on its way back they could of send me another.

    Tuesday came and nothing. Then Wednesday and finally on Thursday I had enough so I went to UPS and put in a request to pick it up which they didn’t approve until the next business day. I had went to UPS numerous times throughout the week and they said I couldn’t pick it up because of the sender’s restrictions. But somehow on Thursday it was okay after I complained multiple times to this company. I finally got my phone but they put the wrong SIM card for my phone. They gave me my sister's sim card number so when I activated my phone I had my sister's phone number instead of mine. I called my carrier company and they were able to fix it but it took them about 4 hours to complete it. This is the worst experience I ever had. I’m switching phone company and carrier so I won’t ever give this company business from myself. Customer service is terrible and they don’t take responsibility for their mistakes.

    Called on a Sunday, told the phone would ship out on Monday and arrive on Tues. It did not. We called back and somehow the shipping authorization didn't go through, so they processed another one. Then they told us the phone was on backorder and didn't know when it'd ship out. This wouldn't have been a huge problem except my wife was about to board a plane with our one year old baby to go visit her dying grandmother for the last time. I asked to speak with a manager (despite the rep's protest that a manager couldn't do anything else to help). The manager called the warehouse, confirmed they had a device, and stated it would ship out that day (Tues) and arrive the next day. It didn't.

    I called back again and spoke to another manager who said he'd look into the issue and call me back. I told him if the device still hadn't shipped, we should change the shipping address to my wife's grandmother's house so she'd receive it while she was there. I never heard from that manager again. Instead, I got a shipping notification two hours later that the phone had been shipped out to MY HOUSE. I tried calling that same manager back and didn't get a response either time. I was then forced to pay an additional $75 (on top of the $199 replacement fee) to ship my wife's phone from our house to her grandmother's house so she would have a means of communication during her trip. The service and communication we received from Assurant was awful. We never had these problems with Asurion. We're definitely looking into alternative options for phone coverage so we don't have to deal with Assurant ever again. Extremely disappointed customer.

    I was a little apprehensive when I went into Xfinity Comcast, to tell them my phone wouldn't come back on, it only vibrated every minute or so. The gentleman at Xfinity, got Assurant on the phone, their website was down at that time because of the storm. Anyway, when I talked with the Lady over the phone was very pleasant, and put me at ease right away. She said she'd already put in the order since I was approved, and I would receive my new phone in just a couple of days. As promised, the phone came just three days later. I was able to package up my damaged phone, and send it back the very same day. They made my experience with their company, the most pleasant that I've dealt with in a very long time.

    It would have been nice to know you were not sending a charger since it was a c charger and my old phone was a micro mini. And then no tool to open the phone's sim card area and I was charged $75 to get one from Metro store. So between the charger and the tool I spent another $100 which I really didn't have. I could have just upgraded my phone for that amount. And I have been paying $6 a month for over 3 years for this insurance. This was first time I used it. Needless to say I will probably be dropping it because it really didn't save me anything unless someone can convince me you want me as a customer still.

    Word of advice you should tell your customers up front it will be the phone only and nothing else supplied to them. Even the Metro store clerk thought you should have given me a charger since it was different than my old phones. And that you should have sent the tool as well. If the phone sent to the person has a different charger you should supply at least the cord and if there is a tool required to get into the sim card holder that should be supplied as well because the phone was useless to me until I could get those items.

    One of the phones on my account covered by Assurant was damaged back in Oct. My Daughter immediately moved the SIM to a borrowed device. This scenario is very common, and Assurant should be better prepared to deal with this. She waited some time before asking me to file a claim for a replacement device. Because it was unknown exactly when the damage took place, and the date given, which I clearly stated was an ESTIMATE, the claim was not approved. This happened 3 times, along with getting conflicting information from the Agents. There is much more information in my profile if anyone cares to look, but it is my opinion that Assurant makes the claim process overly complicated, and does not properly interface with T-Mobile by design, to discourage device replacements. I could not in good faith recommend this service to anyone.

    I ordered my phone before 830pm eastern standard time and was told it would be processed the same day. 2 days later on the 14th I received a. Email with a tracking number informing me it was being shipped and it provided a UPS tracking number. I clicked on the tracking number for how many days and it wasn't until approximately 3 days later I received information that it shipped. The package was attempted to be delivered in 12/19. 7 to 8 days after my contact to Assurant. Ironically my green shipping slip that came with my phone had a big overnight on the top right corner implying that it was sent in that capacity. I believe UPS did not have the package at the time the tracking number was provided because there was information on the package for a good 3 days. It is unfair for anyone to wait this long for a replacement phone.. Unacceptable to say the very least.

    Worst customer service EVER... anywhere. Everyone talks in circles and no one knows anything and they keep you on the phone and when they transfer you they ask all the info again.     I'm a Tmobile customer for years now. Assurant is their phone insurer and if you have a lost or stolen car for $8/month they will replace the phone 1-2 days after they validate/verify the claim with tmobile. It's been 4 days now after completing the claim form online and paying a deductible and still no phone. After calling in each day to check on claim status the CSR and supervisor are unable to validate/verify although they see I am eligible they are unable to get into the tmobile system with my pin number which I've had for years with TMobile and works for them.

    Tmobile said let's change your pin code see if that helps as they and Assurant said that might work. So far it hasn't and I am vulnerable as I live alone and need phone in the event of a medical emergency. Each day I have to speak to a new CSR leading me to believe even at my suggestion to refer it to a tech support in their company. I am lost without the phone and have no landline, I am wit's end. I pay ahead of due dates on my bills and know that I am eligible but no help from Assurant. They won't even call TMobile to try to fix this. Even with my changing the pin code at TMobile's suggestion it still hasn't work. I feel victimized by both companies as well the person who walked off with my phone and didn't turn it in to the store customer service center where I lost it.

    When sending Documentation through website attaching files extremely difficult. When calling to verify if Files sent were received & attached to claim they Lie & tell you files were not received. So you send Again and again. Everyone you talk to has a different story. They even asked for my Verizon phone Bill. I got locked out of their website sign in. The only way this all got resolved was calling Apple Support Supervisor & having him access my home computer to verify that I was sending documents & was locked out of access to their WebSite. Assurant says UPS needs time to investigate and it will take 8-14 business days to get a new phone reissued. After a whole week of spending at least 5 hrs in one day on the phone trying to rush it, no one is able to help.     Assurant refused to honor the guarantee that we paid for for two years. They actually sent us an email that the claim had been approved then had UPS ship our replacement phone back to them and denied our claim. They have refused to answer our emails and merely give us an address to use to complain. I would not recommend anyone to use their insurance because when you need coverage, they won't honor your claim. Definitely not a trustworthy or reliable insurance company!!!!

    Well I've been paying for insurance for my phone. 12/10/19 it happened my dog stepped on my phone. I paid to send it back $13.26. My phone came 2 days later. So I went to have it turned on and that phone didn't work. So I paid another $13.26 to send 2nd phone back. Then my replacement phone did get here til 12/17/19. What happened to overnight. So after not having a phone for a week. All they did was take off 18.00 off my bill. What about the $ 26.50 that I had to pay to send phones back. "Sorry that's on you to pay. We don't care what you had to pay to return a 2nd broken phone." This is the last time I ever go with T Mobile phone. Sprint. Here I come. If you pay for insurance for your phone you could have got a iPhone 10 for payments made to keep phone insurance. Best thing I can say is find a better phone company to go with that just gives you a phone on the spot not paying for mailing and money to return a broken phone.

    I bought my phone in Nov 2019, lost my phone Dec 5. Reached out to Apple Support. They asked me to erase my iPhone from my account, and I followed the steps. Once I filed my claim, I was told Find My iPhone was turned off and my claim was rejected. I didn’t buy that, because if find my iPhone was off, how can I erase my phone using iCloud. When reached out to the agent over the phone I was told, since they don’t see iPhone on my account, they can’t approve claim. I am down with 1300 bucks and all of this BS with Assurant.     Pro Max 11 plus. I lost second phone then was told I had to pay a addition 280.00 because your people sent out the wrong phone. After being told I would receive it in 24 hour after it did not arrive I called back. It told I would have to send the wrong phone back in which I did called in the tracking number.     More or less I give this valuation for two aspects. Recently I made a complaint with you. They sent me a different device than mine which I like but you see my device was a note 8 and they sent me a note 9. When asked about the accessories they told me that they did not cover it other than the pencil of the notes. They take it as an accessory I as an internal part of the note when the pencil came with the device. Next to asking for the tips and of the new device they told me that they were not responsible for the accessories when the note of the note comes along with the device not separated as an accessory thing that we pay for insurance.

    My wife lost her and we filed a claim and paid the deductible. We were told that and device was sent to us and never received it. We checked the tracking and it said that the package was delivered on our front door but we never received it. We called the insurance company and told them about the situation and they said that a claim would be filed and that it would take 10 to 15 business days. Fortunately for us, my wife ended up finding her phone and we called to let the insurance company know. They now put a lost or stolen on that phone and we cant use it anymore. I called them to have it removed, but they said that they need to finish. They need to finish to investigation with UPS before they can unblock the phone... As a result of that, my wife is without a phone going on 10 days now.

    Worst experience with an insurance company. At the beginning they were great and then I received my "replacement" device. What they don't tell you is the replacement device is a refurbished phone. The phone I received kept restarting and then completely shut off and wouldn't turn or blink the Apple logo. HAD TO CALL THEM THREE TIMES AFTER THIS.

    First call found out they don't send new phones and that sometimes they ship defective devices on accident. Tells me shes going to send me the return label and that my PHONE HAS TO BE AT THE POST OFFICE NOT IN TRANSIT for them to ship the new device. 24 hours later and no return label, call again. The guy apologizes and says he's sending a new label. Finally get the label. Call to tell them the phone is at the post office as they told me, the guy says, "Unfortunately we can't send the phone until it is in transit." Clearly there is a huge miscommunication in the office.

    I'm pissed. It's been three days I'm without a phone. Call the insurance again to make sure my phone is in transit so I can get my phone finally shipped. She tells me, "Your "replacement device" is being shipped." I tell her no. I'm requesting a new device since I got a defective device the first time and it's been three days without a phone. She tells me, "I can't guarantee a new device." I'm pissed to have dealt with all this and will be cancelling this insurance once I receive this device. Not worth your time or money. I should get a full REFUND FOR THIS CRAP AND THE CRAPPY PHONE YOU SENT ME.

    I opened a claim with Assurant, paid my deductible, and the claim was approved. The carrier handling the shipment, UPS, found the box empty during transit. Even though this is confirmed on the UPS tracking site and verbally by UPS to Assurant personnel, they refused to send another phone until their "tracer process" would be complete...10-15 days. While I understand the need for the process, this seemly simple situation where another phone needed to be sent was impossible for them to conceive. Pretty unbelievable...and apparently their supervisors and managers don't even have the authority to allow for an override in this situation. Zero stars would be a better pick. They may be good under normal circumstances, but their ability to provide good customer service when it counts is pitiful.

    Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience. My phone was supposed to arrive on Monday since I submitted the claim on Friday evening. When Monday came I received an email saying they needed more information and prompted me to call. I sent the documents requested on the following day (Tuesday) and was advised to wait another 24 hours (Wednesday). When that time passed (Thursday) I received another email requesting the same documents again. By then, I was already desperate for not having communication.

    When I called to find out what happened, the customer service agent told me she was not able to look into the documents I sent, she was only able to see that they need them again (15min into the call). I requested to speak with a manager and he was not able to see the information either (20 min into the call). I was so upset at the point for not getting any responses. Manager had to place me on a long hold (35min into the call) to find the information I was asking for. Finally (45min into the call), he agreed with me that the information requested was already received and he override it to approved my claim.

    Setting up the claim was a frustrating experience. I have my phone account set up for auto pay and didn't realize I had an old address on file with tmobile. Since I couldn't remember the address of my temporary housing the claim couldn't be submitted. Even after updating my address with tmobile your system wasn't updated after 24 hours. I had to have a tmobile representative on the phone to get the claim started. After that the process was smooth. I had my replacement the next day. Almost everything is good with the phone. My model has a pen, and unfortunately I didn't notice before sending my broken phone back that the replacement phone pen does not easily pop out of the phone. In order to remove the pen I have to force the button to release. Not sure if I can get a new pen sent or not, but it would be helpful.

    Assurant processed the claim fairly quickly and sent over the replacement right away. However, the package was sent via UPS and they lost it. I had to call myself and file the claim with UPS. At UPS they told me that they couldn’t provide me any further details because they would work with the insurer directly. Several days later, UPS drops by the house and talked with my parents. I was not in the house. My parents also don’t speak English. According to my parents, the UPS man indicated that they had miss delivered it to the house in the street behind and needed a signature from my parents to go get it and redeliver it. My parents had no idea what they were signing and they should not have been asked to do it.

    I called Assurant to find out what was going on and they helped me call the UPS claim department. They indicated that they couldn’t find it, so they opened a claim. Assurant had no idea of this and they exchanged info regarding each other's claims. I was not informed of why UPS had stopped by my house to say they had found it and what they had my parents sign. All very incompetent. For an insurance company, no one has any idea of claims or how to process them. I have been waiting 8 days and I still have to wait 3-5 more days to get a final answer if I am getting my phone or not, after I paid the replacement and continue to pay monthly for their service. I am terminating this service effective immediately as there is no point in paying insurance for a phone, when they can’t even secure a delivery. My recommendation for Assurant is to use a different delivery service. UPS is very incompetent.

    Dissatisfied by the replacement choice. Was told that the Galaxy S8 is a comparable phone for Note 5. Note is a different type of phone than the Galaxy S* stream. T-Mobile also thought so and considered Note 8 as the replacement of Note 5. But Assurant was so adamant. This phone that they provided has a market value of $150 while I paid over two years about $500 in jump plan premiums and an additional $99 deductible. And yet they argue on an incorrect replacement. Like giving a bike for a car - 'as a comparable replacement' is absurd. But Assurant believes in 'my way or the highway'!

    I ordered on Friday. I hoped to get it sooner but missed the next day delivery deadline. So I had to wait until Monday morning when I received the phone. So for future orders I’d make during early weekday. Phone in perfect condition. Everything I needed was included.

    Many people on here are talking about receiving a new phone the next day. I submitted a claim a few days ago, and they are sending a box to pick it up. Once they receive the phone they will look at and might send me a new one. Or just fix the one I sent them. I don't know about the rest of you, but not having my phone this long isn't the greatest. The reason I am writing this review, is because I read these reviews before buying the additional care. These stories are not the case and not my experience since signing up. At best I am looking at a week to two weeks. Great to get a new phone, but AppleCare would have had this fixed immediately.

    I was charged incorrectly. Customer service agent saw issue and did nothing, and supervisor did nothing. Had carrier agent call in on my behalf due to also seeing issue no resolution. To top it off it’s 3 days past the date I paid and still don’t have a tracking number for my device. Terrible all the way around. I’ll find alternative insurance.

    Phone face cracked after it was drop.. Put me to changes to get my phone race. Had call back several times to ensure my replace. After applying to all the questions. I was approve. They forgot to process the claim. Call to check for it after 5 days had passed.

    I have not received my replacement phone and when I use the tracking number provided via Assurant, UPS claims the package was "undeliverable" and requesting to correct the address. The major problem is the link to correct the address is not loading and at this point I need assistance from Assurant. Thanks.
