I just had a pretty decent experience returning my phone and getting a new one or refurbished one although it was a little tough because of not having the exact date and moment that it went off. My first claim was revoked because I couldn't remember the day and that was partially because of getting the runaround on the phone and spending 40 minutes and talk in the three or four different people after trying to do it online first. But while I was doing it online it would not let me say that I didn't have my phone come in contact with liquids and as why I ended up having to do it on the phone instead of online which I don't know if it was a glitch in the program or what but I wasn't happy about not being able to change out of saying that my phone had been exposed to liquid. Other than that the last time I talked to the person that went really well and she was very helpful.

I originally called the support number via the Samsung Protect app when they told me they didn't have my protection plan (ended up being the protection company for my partners device not mine), I was transferred to Assurant and they were able to help me (which was great). I was told I would receive shipment tracking to ensure I was able to see when my device arrived, but I never received the shipment info. When the device arrived it was in the wrong color (should have been black, but the phone was blue). I never called to correct it as life is too short, but I am telling my freinds/other samsung customers about my experience.

The product came very fast! Also the service used to delivery the product was awesome as well. The guy called me to advise me of my package being dropped off. It gave me comfort, esp with so much fraud going on where people steal packages. Thank you all!

I was very happy with all the customer service. Everyone was really friendly. But the moment I turned on the phone I knew I was going to have a few problems with it. When I started using it the screen would freeze ably allowing me to use the home button for a couple minutes, not only that it glitches and takes me out of the app I would be in. And just recent it has started shutting off even when it’s charged.

The UPS delivery records shows that the phone was delivered, but I never received it. So I am having to wait for a 7 to 14 days before the replacement has been present. Which has been an inconvenience to me because I haven't had access to my metro phone acct.

I have been a customer of Tmobile for 16 years. I've used their issurance just as long. I haven't had a claim in over 4 years. My phone was lost/stolen on a Friday night. My claim was made on Saturday after calling the establishment a few times to see if it was turned in first. My claim was put in "review for 3-5 days". No one knew why. No one could offer any explanation other than reading their script. And I could not be sent to the review dept so I could answer any questions because they didn't take inbound calls! But I was told they would contact me if they had any questions (via email since I had no phone).
It is a full week later and still no phone. No reason has been given for this "review" and even Tmobile is at a complete loss for an explanation. One rep in a store suggested Assurant may not have my phone in stock...how is that my fault?? Utterly unacceptable. I hope to find another insurance company that stands by what they claim they will do for their customers.

No one cared that my son had to go extra days without a phone. He missed job opportunities due to this. I was lied to by the representative who said the claim was approved and would be sent by priority next day air. JUST BE HONEST SO WE KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT.

Assurant is a truly careless company and is nowhere near worth the money. Not only do they not state their devices are refurbished when you're dealing with them on the phone but when you receive your device it will be so physically damaged it will make you long for whatever device it was you were originally replacing. Needless to say I chose to return the phone and I expect my refund back of $100 that they charge you for a cheap chipped nearly broken damage device that half the time is worse than your original device. Thank God for T-Mobile. Don't bother wasting your money on Assurant though.

This is the worst experience I've ever had with a professional company. Y'all sent me a phone that was registered in somebody else's name and I had to send it back. Now almost 2 weeks I still don't have a phone.

I was delighted at how fast the customer service rep handled my case. I appreciate the quickness and the reliability of the service. I ended up losing my phone on the first day of the year and was upset but the rep was empathetic and was very respectful of how I was feeling and lighten my mood. Would recommend.

It took 10 days to get a replacement phone, after follow up calls and email to Assurant that went nowhere, I had to reach up to Tmobile customer support to help me get my replacement phone. Assurant handle the case very poorly and lost me as a future customer.

Purchased a new phone and dropped and broke it within a month and luckily I had the insurance on it and my previous insurance experiences (with other insurance providers) were amazing and I received a phone within 48 hours. I am now on Day 4 with no replacement phone. I have called every day to get information and I am told something different every single time I called. I was initially told I would have my phone the next day since I filed the claim before their cutoff time. I called the next evening and was rudely told that FedEx had my package and I needed to wait until they posted the tracking information - which is a bold faced lie.
The following day I called and was told the phone is out of stock and would be sent out as soon as it was back in stock. I called this morning and they cannot give me any timeframe whatsoever as to when a phone will be sent out. It could be sent out today or it could take 6 weeks.... I am now left with the dilemma of having to spend money to buy another phone just to bridge the gap or wait it out. This is not customer service or acceptable. It's bad enough that when I do get my replacement phone for my brand new phone, it's going to be refurbished garbage. DO BETTER.

The device I received was broken and did not work, and I have to send it back prior to them sending a new one which is an inconvenience to myself. Now I have to wait yet another week for a NEW REPLACEMENT for the broken replacement that was sent out.

It took 4 hours of calling and finding information to complete the online form.. Then when I get the phone there were instructions on how to reactivate... Dial *228? That didn't work. You can't call from a phone with no service. Then they say call the 888 number. They can't help so they tell you to take it to a store. At the store they charge you $17.00. WTF???

The replacement I had received had a dead pixel on the screen, I called and spoke to someone about it. Within 5 minutes they said they were sending another one and it came very quick. I am very pleased with the experience and the peace of mine is definitely worth the little amount of money.

I filed claim on DEC. 30, 2019, received phone on JAN. 4, 2020 (suppose to be overnight). Phone was BLACKLISTED and could not be activated. Sent phone back and SECOND phone arrived JAN. 8, 2020. This phone was also BLACKLISTED and could not be activated. Finally received THIRD phone JAN. 9, 2020 and this phone did work. However during this process and numerous phone calls to ASSURANT and METRO I was treated not so nice, almost like it was my fault. I was not compensated for time, waiting, mistakes, NOTHING! I was treated so poorly. I am leaving METRO after 7 years and will never have anything to do with ASSURANT nor will I have nice things to say. I am extremely disappointed that it took 3 phones to get it right amongst many, many other things.

I purchased a rose gold watch which I later matched everything with it. Twice I cracked it with Apple Care and twice I received exactly what I purchased at a cheaper rate and a more timely fashion. Once, I used Assurant and I now have an ugly black watch and was told I had to get whatever you have. I was treated as if you were doing me a favor. I pay monthly for my insurance and paid a high deductible. I will NEVER buy another Apple product from Tmobile because of this insurance company.

The whole process was easy and quick. It was a real help at a very stressful time. The folks on the phone were particularly helpful. It would be nice if the process could be handled at the U.S. Cellular store.

Your company asked for additional documents. I said that my phone was broken and inoperable so how do you tell me I need this. You CALL. Someone phone isn't working and you call instead of email seriously so that changes my phone from getting to me till 2 days later. And if I didn't do your employees jobs and get in contact with another person's phone I would have never received it. For a customer going through a very frustrating time there was 0 actual help. I had to do it all and then the phone you send me has no sim card tool to get the old sim out or installed into the new phone. No adapter to transfer the contacts or pictures since I don't use the cloud for pictures so they are gone. So it was a horrible experience compared to the last time I got a phone replacement and it was the easiest thing and best experience I ever had with insurance.

I have been held accountable for a nonreturned device which I wasn't instructed to return. I was told by a rep on 1.9.20 that first a "letter was sent out to me" then when I asked when his response quickly changed to "an email was sent out". I again asked when, he stated on 10/8/19. I kindly asked for that email to be forwarded to me. To no avail! No emails or notifications were sent out to me to tell me to return a phone. No one reached out to me! The company failed to provide adequate information with my replacement phone. Yet I am at fault!
I am a customer not a Tmobile/Assurant expert. This could have been easily resolved. But I received no help and now will be charged over 500 dollars for a broken device I have no issues with returning that doesn't even work. After paying 150 dollars to even get a replacement. This was the worst experience I've ever dealt with. All the representatives could say was "I know. I'm sorry". Don't be sorry. Fix your error! Most importantly it is very unprofessional to Mute a customer as they are trying to explain to you.

It took 8 days to receive my replacement phone. I was informed it could take up to 24 hours. When I called to inquire why I had not received a tracking number I was informed it was out of stock. I should been informed immediately. Being out of stock is unacceptable and I believe I should be refunded some of my replacement fee. Sincerely Stanley **.

The CS reps I spoke with were knowledgeable and helpful, which was great... However my experience went downhill after finding out you send me a random refurbished phone from the “warehouse”. My phone that was less than 2 months old was stolen from my back Pocket in a crowded area which was a terrible experience, then your company made it worse by sending me a junk phone.
I pay for the protection insurance every month and paid my deductible to get a replacement phone for the NEW phone I had, but the phone you sent has constant connection issues with WiFi and Bluetooth and signal issues with people calling; something I did not have with the previous 2 phones. I can only come to the conclusion that it is because of the refurbished junk you sent me. Please make this right Assurant! So far you have only (Assur)ed me that if I have a phone issue your solution will be to shortchange your customers and replace with a sub-par product!

My phone kept turning off and going dead for 10-15 minutes at a time. I took it to TMobile and they told me my insurance didnt cover it, but they'd be happy to sell me a new phone. Called Assurant and not only did they tell me that wasnt true, but because it was an internal issue I had no deductible. They quickly sent me a replacement phone and I could not be happier with their service.

I told customer service the correct address multiple times to send my replacement device to and got all their extra paperwork requested right away but they still sent it to the old address. It took over a week to get my replacement when it should have been overnight. I shouldn't have to pay $250 for bad service. This is not the first bad experience with this company.

The website didn't work so I called Assurant. They were very helpful and I received a replacement phone next day. The only problem was the Samsung 8 (new replacement phone) doesn't use the same charger as the Samsung 7 (old damaged phone), and one was not included with the new phone. So I had to go out and purchase a charger before the new phone could be used.

The replacement phone that I received was an iPhone but the screen was refurbished. It’s a huge drastic difference from the original iPhone screen and I was not satisfied with the quality. The brightness was not as bright and vibrant as the original. I did not originally have a refurbished iPhone so I wasn’t satisfied when I received a refurbished iPhone.

Worst customers service ever. Sent wrong phone. Then say they can't replace the device I've been paying insurance on for years. Talked to an manager and was told to call back after they tried to reprocess my claim only to be transferred to and sit on hold for a half hours with no one answering.

iPhone X. From 11/29/19 that I put a claim through with your horrible company, it was a huge hassle and nothing was done. I must’ve called like 100 times and nothing was resolved. I called weeks later and spoke to a gentleman that finally did his job like he was supposed to do and he did everything to make sure I received my replacement. But even though with his help and he did resolve the issue, I hope T-mobile switches insurance company to a better one because Assurant is a horrible company. Waited almost a week to get another defective phone that was not in the color of my original phone. This phone is glitchy and sends all my calls to voicemail, delays all of my text, and mixes up my text with the wrong sender.

Was overcharged on replacement of device. Even though we have paid insurance consistently since we obtained our devices - Assurant is soooo unfair. Need to reconsider the rate that you charge people to constantly replace devices.

I felt as if I was suspected of fraud. A bit of resistance for a customer that has had no claims for several years and no late payments either. Being a bit more kind to customers that don't abuse the insurance is a good PR move.

My phone was stolen and with past experience when my last phone was damaged I tried to get a replacement but insurance was removed mistakenly and I was unable to received a replacement so I had to cancel my services. When my second phone was stolen I placed it on blacklist. Once I couldn't track it I reported it. My claim was approved asap. And I received my phone within 3 days. Great services and my problem was solved in a timely manner. Great Job Assurant.

I was going back and forth between you and T Mobile. I made the claim and the cellphone was found but the replacement was in transit. I had the tracking number but UPS would not stop shipment because Assurant had no billing info submitted. After going round and round I was finally given to someone who would and could unlock my original cellphone. The replacement cell arrived the day later and subsequent the cell was returned unopened to the local UPS office. I am now awaiting the return of my $149.00 deductible.

I have service with T-Mobile. My phone was covered. Assurant denied my claim. It took 7 days and several hours with T-Mobile and Assurant to get my replacement after I demanded to speak with a manager.

New phone. I called on Dec 28 2019 and turned a claim in. Was approved next day. As of Jan 7 I still have no phone. I was told that it was backordered but I am not sure this is the real reason. VERY UPSET..

First issue was I was happy to wait for an exact replica of my phone, I received a phone that was the wrong color. Second the Bluetooth is not working correctly, third issue is the speaker on the phone is not working correctly.

Quick delivery. My daughter was happy with the new phone. Only thing is phone seemed a little used. But I will still use your service. It is a little scary not knowing what you will get to replace your old phone though I do think the outside of the phone should not look as used as it did. Overall experience was great. Fast service. The problem I have us the phone that replaced mine has screen issue. For example it will freeze when typing or scrolling thru something. I will then have to push the power button off then back on and may work for a minute or 15-20 minutes. It's rather frustrating!!! Not sure if this is an Assurant problem or do I go to US Cellular?? My screen cracked and was sent in for exchange. The warranty process went easy and smooth. I would highly recommend Assurant. It took about five days to get my replacement phone. When it arrived all I had to do is throw in my sim card and bam it was back on.

The phone charges slow with or without an oem charger. Why wasn’t the phone checked out before it was sent out. So what am I supposed to do when I need to charge my phone? For what I pay this shouldn’t have happened.

I was really hesitate contacting and filing a claim. Had done so once before a few years ago and I was left with frustration with Assurant. This time, it was different. I experienced no problems and expectations were met. The no hassle experience left me not wanting to cancel my insurance.

The replacement device is far worse than my original phone. I'm outraged. The speaker doesn't work and sounds distorted. The calls take very long to even go through. The settings are weird. The phone I received is garbage.

I filed the claim on a Friday, and it was approved on Friday. Then the replacement phone sat until FedEX picked it up on Monday morning. You did this to save cost!! But, it delayed the phone getting to me, the paying customer, for 2 additional days. That was disappointing and and hassle for me.

My experience was delightful. Everyone was extremely polite and did everything to get my claim started and a replacement phone in the mail. My daughter was delighted because she got her phone back and I am grateful because I got my phone back! But the experience I endured was at great length to make sure I was taken care of properly. I admit that I am responsible for putting my iPhone XR in a place where it could get wet and damaged. Its my fault and it was an accident. An accident that occurred in early September then again in October, I used my AppleCare to resolve each incident. The 3 incident happened in early November, with AppleCare you are allotted 2 incidents, therefore I filed a claim using secondary insurance Assurant. I filed the claim on November 7th, did not hear anything and deductible was not charged to my bank account. After multiple calls to Assurant to check status, I finally after 4 days receive an email stating that the hold up was because they needed to know the Gig capacity and color of the phone being replaced.
Another whole day later I get an email stating that the claim was denied because "The device claimed was not covered on the date of loss." I have zero clue what that means so I call the 866.866.6285 number, the person I am speaking with is very unhelpful and I politely ask to speak to a supervisor. Dwayne, the evening supervisor is literally laughing at my aggravation. He explains that the claim was denied because I put my SIM card temporarily into an older, different device, that was not an iPhone XR, he went on to say that my claim looked suspicious and could be considered fraud. Let me stop everyone right here for a second.
If anyone of you own an Apple device you know when I am referring to Apple ID verification requires you to sign on a known device and it is especially tricky if you don't remember your Apple ID password. SO because I swapped phones with my son at the time my claim was being reviewed and because the phone wasn't the same phone as what was being claimed, it was denied, Assurant was already 4 days late getting back to me since the original date of claim submission. I am not trying to get a different model phone, I am only trying to get my iPhone XR replaced which is what was insured since the day I got it from T-Mobile. I plan to continue to file claims until my phone is replaced. I will update as things transpire.

I was charged $99 for the deductible and it was supposed to be $49. When I called in to discuss the customer service rep kept trying to get me to go online. He was rude. I hung up out of frustration and the inability to understand him as English clearly was NOT his first language.

I was already nervous. I had no idea how to put in a SIM card or restore all my information. I was sure I would lose everything. My agent awesome!??? Very patient and very clear with instructions! My experience with Assurant wasn’t a positive one, I went without a phone for two months. Once the first customer service person I spoke with confirmed my order and told me everything had been taken care of and check my bank account in 24hr to see if my payment was processed I did and it hadn’t been processed. I called the next day and the person I spoke with said the other person didn’t fill something out and he just did it and check my account in 24hr and it of course wasn’t processed. This went on for 2 weeks and I had to do a three way call with my carrier that wasn’t going anywhere so a supervisor came to the phone and said I would have my phone in 2 days along with a new SIM card but once again a problem the SIM card is too big for my phone.

Your reps would not and could not access our account until provided with the last four digits of the credit card used by Xfinity to bill us. The credit card number in your system had been closed for over two years, and was NOT the card Xfinity uses to bill us. Assurant needs to coordinate their information with Xfinity!

Lost phone was in hospital. They sent phone without building number. They could not deliver. Spent at min 5 hours on this 10 with T-Mobile. Talked with probably 6 or 7 diff people. They would not authorize code to FedEx to resend phone. After a two hour phone call they did not even document they had this conversation with T-Mobile, myself, FedEx. We were all on phone. They said I would have to call Monday in order to get what FedEx needed. I called. They said no. That the phone had to be returned from FedEx and resent to me. They said I could go get phone somewhere I do not even know where. I told them about hospital. They did not care. I assumed they were having phone sent back to them. No they did not.
Days later they said I was to tell FedEx to send back. I said, "What are you talking about? This is your mistake. They did not care. I said, "It has been 6 days." They did not care. I said, "I do not want it. I found it was not sent back. I had been waiting for nothing. One of the agents hung up on me. They said I would not get a refund if I did not call FedEx and tell them to send it back to them. I said, "That is crazy. I have nothing to do with your mistake." I said, "I would not get my refund unless I did." T-Mobile and myself called FedEx and asked to have sent back. FedEx said they did have documentation of the call for a hour and half trying to get them to authorize they deny having.
I am going to Better Business Bureau. Filing a complaint with all documentation. I am also filing complaint with T-Mobile. They are partners with T-Mobile. They should not allow this to happen. I paid 15 dollars a month for over 2 years for replacement. I have no phone and did not get taken care of. I paid for nothing. This was so unacceptable. I want my money back. I am appalled. I should have been able to be resting hospitalized. They could have cared less. They do not deserve 1 star.

The automated voice service did a horrible job with getting me what I needed. I kept wanted to just speak with a representative because the address that I had on file was incorrect. Therefore I had to keep calling and trying the different selections. After getting to a service that I didn't even need I finally got to representative and had to be transferred multiple times to a representative that could help me. After speaking with the right representative I was finally able to complete my claim. Overall, the speaking with a representative should be added to the automated teleprompter for whatever service someone needs.

Upon receipt it took an hour with Apple customer service and 2 hours with US Cellular to get the phone to work; sim card that was sent with the phone was not working and phone is still not functioning properly. Damaged Pixel XL Phone. On either 12/17 or 12/18 I reported my phone dead. Over the next week, I was on the phone with Assurant almost every day. Claim turned down 3 or 4 times. Talked to 3 different supv. before I finally received a replacement phone that I paid $99 for. I deleted all emails from assurant since then, so I don't have the order number. They have quite a file for me. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!

I filed a claim for a damaged phone online. Shortly after I filed, I received email confirmation. I was told that I could keep checking for updates regarding the approval process. Days went by without hearing anything. After several days, when checking online, I started to get a message saying my claim was not found. Eventually, I called to speak to a representative. Apparently, there was additional information needed. There should be a protocol for Assurant employees to request information from a customer. A company that manages communication devices should have appropriate online help and procedures. There is no reason for this transaction to have not gone smoothly. A week is a long time to go without a functioning phone. Poor service. Shame on you.

Misinformation provided by associates and follow thru by supervisors contributed to our claim being long and stressful. The lack of courtesy and communication was inappropriate. The final insult being device received without charger (previous claims a charger was included). This claim experience has.... after over 10 years with T-Mobile.... prompted us to consider changing carriers.

I am seriously disappointed, I spent hours on the phone the other day getting the runaround about my replacement device. Being told my daughter must have switched the device and I must have used a non Metro phone. Advised the phone that was sent by Assurant is the phone I hooked up on my daughter's number, yet I am being told that is not correct. I was transferred four times, only to be told to go to the store and have them get me in contact with the ASR. When I went to the store, I still got no answers and my daughter's phone is still not insured and I still do not have any answers. So, I am not sure what I need to do, or why this has happened. My experience with the insurance replacing my son's phone was ok except that when his LG Leon was replaced with a LG Stylo 2 plus getting a protective case for the older phone was difficult. No stores in my area had a case for the LG Stylo 2 plus. I had to order one online taking a chance of not really knowing what we are getting. Some things are better bought in person. Maybe Assurant should offer for a small extra fee a protective case to go with the replacement phone. Being that in stores all they had to offer was protective cases for the Stylo 4 & 5. Other than that the experience was great hassle free and fast as usual.

In fact next time I pay my bill I'm going to have them cancel my insurance through you guys. You guys are a joke. I did not received a new unit, I received a refurbish unit with a limited warranty. I was expecting a new ph. Overheats sometimes when I'm on a ph call. I did not received the same NOTE 10 version as mine, I think I got the oldest.

When I lost my device I was at a lost. I called my service provider who forwarded me to Assurant. Assurant replacement device was received within a few days. I would recommend, if you do not have your devices insured, think Assurant. They're great! Thanks Assurant.

Assurant's agents were all wonderful!!! HOWEVER, UPS is terrible. Their end made my ordeal horrible. Please reconsider using them. Their delivery delivery said my package was undeliverable to an address he made up, different from the one on my shipping label and request. Their customer service contact center is overseas and is NO HELP.

The company wrongfully shipped my item, it was suppose to ship as a next business day, they shipped it out ground. The item was suppose to be a Christmas gift and it was out for delivery three days after Christmas. On delivery day the item isn’t signature required, my package goes missing and they don’t try and do anything to help me. It’s been over a week and a half and I still don’t have my phone nor someone has reached out to me as they promised they would.

Assurant shipped the phone within 24 hours of claim, however, they do not ship overnight. Filed claim on Sunday. Phone shipped Monday- Received FRIDAY at 7pm. Totally unacceptable. Who goes without their phone for 5 days.

Initially the online claim process was a little longer than anticipated but after the claim was accepted, we received a replacement unit in no time. It was said the unit could be a refurbished unit but I was amazed at how new the phone looked, very pleased with Assurant services.

O.k., well, first & foremost, I never received the replacement phone that was shipped to me. Sure, ultimately, the courier, I feel, is responsible but not fully. I agree and assume that it was stolen or never shipped. I was told that an investigation would be launched AFTER 10 business days. Wow, that's a lot of time for someone to get a replacement phone through your program and firm, don't you think? So this is very disappointing and frustrating and that's why I decided to take this survey. Let's see what comes out of it.

My replacement device camera looks broken from the inside and the sound is not really in a good quality. They send me refurbish one. I should have kept mine. Changed screen would be better. I already knew they gonna send me a bad one by the way the lady talk to me.

I called 6 months ago to process the claim, they advised they would call me back once they had device. I never got a call or email that stated they had device available. I called T Mobile to see what could be done, they had device available. I paid insurance for 6 months for device I did not have.

My experience with the representative was great. The device I received I was not satisfied. I can barely hear the people that were calling. I would have to put my calls on speaker to hear them clearly. I did call to get another device just because I didn't want to put in another claim or have to wait for another replacement phone.

I was pleased with how simple and quickly I was able to retrieve another device. However, I was not happy about the price to replace the product. I am only paying about $500 for the device so to pay a $199 deductible after having the phone a few months was not good for me. On top of that my representative at Spectrum advised me to question the $199 deductible because the device was not valued over a certain amount to fall into the $199 deductible bracket and should have been $149. When I asked the representative at Assurant about it she just said it was inaccurate with no explanation. She was not rude though and she seemed knowledgeable, but she gave me zilch on that $149 deductible and I would really like that to be looked into further because Spectrum said with certainty based on the value of my phone my deductible should be $149. I have a Galaxy S8.

It’s about to be 3 weeks since I have been without a phone. First an apartment number was missing and no one could help with this issue and instead sent my phone back to the company and restarted my claim. Now it’s been about a week since then and I’ve yet to receive a phone again. It’s literally about to be 3 weeks on Saturday. Because of this I lost my job, spent the holidays without speaking to family and went away for my birthday and had to be In another state without a phone - this has legit been the worst experience I ever had. I'm considering disconnecting my phone line with T-Mobile.

I had the issue 2 weeks prior to initiate the claim process. Hesitation was mostly because I was pretty sure that I will be dealing with this type of process that it seems like to be convoluted and hard to make the people think twice to pay an insurance. I will admit that I was wrong, it took me no time to start the claim by phone, the representative was very helpful, no problems at all, I gave my information and I received the replacement phone 2 days after. I sent the phone to them and practically, it did not make more than that. I will certainly recommend the insurance via T-Mobile because accidents happen and it is a good thing to have a program that really delivers what it is suppose to do for you.

Updated on 01/18/2020: Processed a claim on December 18th and I'm yet to receive my device one month later. Assurant claims device was sent and UPS said it was delivered and now I'm having to communicate with ups to inform them it wasn't for the second time. I don't think I should have to be going back and forth with any company for so long when I've paid for a replacement and yet to receive it. I'm the only one being inconvenienced by this and I feel not enough is being done to get this resolved in a timely manner. I don't think I'll be using this company again.
Original Review: I submitted my claim and I'm yet to receive my device. I had to fly out for an emergency and as it stands I still have NO phone. I called to inform you all and they said it'll take 10-14 business days for a replacement. I'm very disappointed as I've always made my monthly payments on time and I paid my deductible already an still have no phone.

I bought my phone directly from the manufacturer, not T-Mobile. When it was damaged, I put my sim card in a older backup phone then filed a claim. It took a week and about 6 hours on the phone with Assurant and T-Mobile to get the claim approved. Most of the customer service agents sounded like they were on the other side of the world and all they could do is follow a script instead of getting the problem resolved.

While trying to file a claim I talk to three different ladies in different departments and they were all very helpful, polite, knowledgeable, and had a great attitude with exceptional customer service. I put off filing a claim for a cracked screen for a couple days because I thought it was going to be a pain but it ended up being one of the easiest call I've made in a while. Wish I remember their names but I know 2 were located in Bellingham Washington and the other in Texas. I would love it if you guys could pass along a big thank you for being awesome and making my experience so easy and great.

The deductible was really high... the cost of the phone brand new has dropped tremendously and deductible is still high... the customer service I received from reps to management was very poor... I will no longer keep insurance with this company. I will Be moving to an insurer who treats customers better... if my son didn’t need the phone I surely would not have got this replacement due to how I was treated!! I still can’t believe I bought it after the experience I had!!

The representative promised me a new phone in the Box. I made it very clear I didn't have a charger anymore and the earbud headphones were also broken. I received the correct model phone in the wrong color and it was most definitely refurbished with no accessories included.

Inaccurate information every step of the way. Long wait for replacement phone. Will be cancelling insurance in the future. A totally frustrating experience. Had to call daily for updates with very little new information. Supervisor was unempathetic and condescending.

The customer service was excellent. The Quality of the product that I received was not. The key clicks don’t work so great, and the touchscreen does not always work properly, the volume is terrible. And the battery gives me only a few hours of use and the camera is awful. I paid a lot of money for my phone and I also pay monthly for the last 10 years, for insurance and never once had a claim other than this time. I still had to pay a deductible which of course I don’t mind doing, and got a phone back that was way less the quality for the money.

The first time we were on a trip and the phone was lost then we just replaced it again because I had a fall and my son ran to help me and the phone dropped and broke the screen... Man it was a mess. I purchased an iPhone 11 PRO on 12/24/19 and bought AppleCare (Assurant). While out letting my dog out on 12/27/19 my 11 PRO was stolen. I immediately filed a police report, went on AT&T to suspend the device as stolen, and went on iCloud to put the 11 Pro in Lost Mode. Somehow AT&T put my iPhone 10 as stolen and not my 11 Pro.. So my phone in my possession (iphone 10) became blacklisted. Called Assurant to make a claim on 11 Pro and they refuse to replace the device. Say that 11 Pro is not covered. Spoke to Apple representative "Alicia", we 3 way called Assurant-- and spoke to Angel and read my contract/policy number confirming the Apple Care. Angel at Assurant was very nice (which is why they get an extra star) but is claiming Assurant does not have proof of purchase of insurance on their end.
Got an E-mail saying theft claim was denied- even though I have paid $299 for 2 years of Apple Care with theft and loss protection. Have filed complaints with the State Attorney General, Department of Commerce, Federal Trade Commission, Consumer Protection Agency, and have E-mailed all the lobbyists affiliated with AT&T, Apple, & Assurant trying to get answers. Fully paid off iPhone 10 now blacklisted, and Assurant will not replace 11 Pro even though contractually obligated to replace stolen device. Hopefully a state regulatory agency can straighten this out- getting no where with Assurant.

Assurant phone techs could be less rude and explain the process better to customers. Just because you've done this a hundred times doesn't mean I have. I received my replacement service quickly and easily but received no support on data transfer or any questions outside if device replacement. They did exactly what they are contractually obligated to do and not a single ounce more.

My phone was severely damaged by being run over. All I had to pay was $99 for a replacement and everything was good. Although the phone was supposed to ship overnight after waiting almost a week for it to ship, it took damn near a week to get the phone. The phone worked well though and returning the old phone was easy.

6+ weeks trying to get my replacement phone after I dropped a large glass pepper grinder on my screen while making dinner. The phone worked at first, then slowly kept getting worse until it didn't work at all. Problems uploading my ID when I initially filed my claim with Assurant. Then I didn't receive the phone (so much for "overnight" shipping). Then I received an incompatible phone. I sent it back. I didn't receive the replacement replacement phone (we are 10 days in now, me a single mom with 2 kids and no phone). Asked for a refund, finally got that. Couldn't have the phone fixed like I had planned so I again tried my luck with Assurant. Couldn't upload ID. Didn't receive my phone, again. Received an incompatible phone, AGAIN.
I switched to Verizon from Visible because Assurant sent a Verizon phone, which was incompatible with my carrier. I had explained the third time around with Assurant all of the issues I had had, and after 6 weeks I was DONE messing with this company. I walked into the Verizon store on Christmas Eve and walked out 10 minutes later with a working phone and new phone number because I couldn't transfer mine. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! Now I have to switch my phone number with all important entities and none of this would have happened if Assurant had just sent me a compatible phone to begin with! A JOKE!

Customer service was great and response time was also great. My only issue, a big one, was with the device that got shipped to me. Earpiece on the phone sounds muffled and distant, have to make calls on speakerphone. I called to see if I can get another device shipped to me and this will cause me to be without a phone for several days. They said they will not be able to ship me another phone until they receive a shipping tracking number from FedEx from me. Again, customer service was great, I just wish y'all could send a phone while I use the one that doesn't work. Thank you for your reading.

I was locked out of my truck when I called for roadside service, which is part of my plan. I was asked for my agreement number, but it was locked inside my truck. They could not find my account and then told me it was expired, and I would have to pay out of pocket, I called back to get reimbursed, and they wanted the receipt. How am I supposed to have the receipt when I paid them directly on the phone at the time of incident?

I returned my LG v30+ with 128 gigs of memory and they sent me a v30 thinq with 64 gigabytes and claimed it's the same phone specs-wise when literally there's a 64 gig difference. Is memory not a spec?
