I had an extremely fast and carefree experience. Hit one little snag but every single person I had to contact to help was super nice and went above and beyond. I would recommend to anybody. Phone arrived quickly and did not have to go without. Came with envelope and everything needed to send the old phone back. 10/10.

You guys were on target. You promised me my phone in two days right in the middle of this covid -19 mess that has delayed all my other internet shopping orders by almost a month, but in two days a Fed Ex guy showed up at my work with a package with my name on it with my replacement phone. Was quick to get ph and very helpful to order replacement. Was worth carrying insurance! Best thing to do is carry that insurance. We paid a small deductible but was worth it. They were fast answering my phone call too!

Excellent customer service. The representative was extremely polite and helpful and was able to resolve all of my concerns in a timely manner. Also, they were able to transfer me directly to Apple Care team without me calling them directly. Saved me a lot of time.

Damage phone. The person who had helped me was a great joy! She was very nice and helpful. I forget the name but she definitely needs a raise, her job title can be very demanding. It was very easy to put my claim in and I received my phone the following business day.

Everything went fine when replacing my phone. No issues with the representative that helped me. The only that happen that it took USPS a long to deliver the phone. Not happy with the phone I was given. I have been paying for insurance for 5 years, and the replacement phone and the ninety-nine dollars I paid is not worth it.

I ordered my Galaxy s10+ in white to be replaced so I could avoid going in public to have it checked out under warranty due to the recent world events. I finally received my phone 4-5 days later (I understand, short staffing due to covid, etc) however, it was not the right phone. I haven't had my phone from T-Mobile for even a year and am still paying for it....I expect the same phone I am paying for to be what is sent to me.
I have messaged customer service that I want the white Galaxy s10+ sent to me in a timely manner before my phone completely dies and have had ZERO response. I have also filled out surveys and given feedback letting them know this and still....nothing. I shouldn't be surprised as back in 2014 I was without a phone for 6 months thanks to Assurant and Verizon's stellar customer service. I guess I was hoping for better this time around. Please send me the correct phone now. OR at the very least get in contact with me. ANYTHING would be great at this point. I won't hold my breath.

Had an unfortunate liquid incident with my phone. When I submitted a claim, the response was prompt and extremely easy. Great peace of mind. Received the replacement phone the next day, and popped my damaged phone in the mail to return it. Thanks.

The replacement phone is not comparable, and the replacement phone also has a scratch on the screen. I spoke with 2 customer service reps who had no authority to send a replacement phone without me submitting this phone, which would leave me without a phone for up to 72 hours (unacceptable, my mother is not well).
I was assured I would get a return call from a supervisor, and one week later I still do not have a return call. Very disappointed and will rate your company poorly to anyone that asks - have already complained to TMobile, and will keep giving bad reviews. Poor customer service, unavailability of a supervisor, and no return call. A shame that 2 reps were unable to resolve this situation - and had no authority to make decisions, and actually gave me ridiculous excuses.

Hi, I got my new phone and am very happy! Thank you. I need to mail my old phone but am having trouble saving and exporting all of my photos and videos that are saved on the device and not backed up in iCloud. The connector for where it charges seems to be what is defective and it won’t work long enough to stay plugged in to my computer to export all of the data. It is taking a lot longer than expected and with the stay at home orders I can’t take it into a T-Mobile store. I think I’m supposed to mail in my phone by the 22nd and I don’t want to be charged the $900 but I also really need to save all of my photos and videos. Can I get any sort of extension?

When screen was shattered called to file claim. Agent was very helpful filling out there form. Replacement came quickly with easy fo follow directions for return. Return envelop was applied and prepaid postage. All in all a very good experience.

Assurant sent us to AppleCare and they were awful. After almost $1000 in charges to my daughters bank card, they still had not resolved the issue. We ended up calling Assurant back and getting great service. We appreciate it!

I have used Assurant before and everything works out fine.. However when I purchased the Note 10 plus last year I was thrilled on the glow color which is the main reason I bought this phone. The woman helping me with the claim failed to me that I would be getting a plain black phone. At this time there was nothing I could do. I had already filed the claim. I was pissed that I couldn't get my phone replaced for the same color I had originally GLOW.

My iPhone 7 Plus (had for almost 3yrs) had broken. I called Friday for my replacement. I requested for an iPhone 8 Plus. I received my iPhone 8 Plus from Assurant the following Monday afternoon. I am pleased with the service, the quickness, and most of all, the upgrade.

Although customer service was professional and timely, they did not indicate that my replacement phone would not come with a new charger. I filed a claim because my battery life was horrible and was only at 83% functioning capacity, so I asked if my replacement phone would come with the charger, as I’m used to getting whenever I’ve filed a claim in the past. The representative assured me that I would be getting a brand new phone with accessories and I did not get that. I had to spend an extra $30 bucks for a charger. I might as well have just gotten my battery replaced since my phone had no physical damage, could have totally been worth it.

First I paid a extra $30. to have my device shipped in two days. I didn’t receive any word from y’all until I called 6 days later. Yes I received a refund on my shipment. But I had a iPhone 7 rose gold but y’all send me a all black one... If I would a choice I would never go thru y’all again.

My claim number is **. I don’t know what my order number is, but I loved the cooperation with Assurant! At first, I was redirected to AppleCare and apple care did not do anything for me. They had me on the line with someone that was mediocre in her profession (she didn’t know how to tell if I had coverage - it’s listed on the first page of the site). They wanted to hold $600 on my account so to make sure I mailed in my damaged phone. I told her I Didn’t have $600 in my account just for her to take so she replied with, “well, what do you want me to do?” How about you charge me with $99 like you said you would!! Anyways. I was redirected back to Assurant and they handled the manner with proper care. Thanks guys!

I had a long experience in getting my replacement phone, as we all know that cell phone is very essential nowadays, insurance companies should be up to date with customers payment records, instead of asking customers to download and send in a prior month billing statement, these are record that should be available.

I put in a claim for a replacement cell phone due to my 3 month old phone being damaged. My replacement phone was delivered within 24 hours which was great. The only problem was they replaced a new phone with a refurbished one which has a very weak battery that doesn't hold a charge. I can't even get to work and back home and count on being able to use it. That is the reason for the lower rating. I do not understand why I received a refurbished phone when my original phone was only a little over 3 months old.

The replacement phone is defective and is a classic example of well packaged piece of **. The glass screen got damaged for my original phone got damaged and the replacement phone has a screen which works on its own without even touching it.

Phone Speaker broken. Online process was super quick and easy! Only thing I would say is add a memo on whether we need to have the return scanned in or if we can just drop off the return and that’s all. Normally I just drop it off.

My phone would not start up on start up screen or restart, no touch tone or full screen. Unable to recharge or reset, screen was broke 3 years ago, don't think that had anything to do with it. I call Assurant and they handle it quickly in my crisis, thank you.

This company is a nightmare, from mailing my replacement to the wrong address, to absolutely always giving me the wrong answers. I lost countless hours tying to order my phone. Employees are incompetent.

Online refused to recognize me after 1st attempt, claim approved, or after speaking to your rep who was able to pull up my info. Rep on phone wanted to verify the account thru the broken phone or thru the new phone that I couldn't get to activate! (using neighbor's phone) I am handicapped (wheel chair) in a senior bld on lockdown. No one in or out. I'm dumping you as soon as possible!

Place a claim for my wife’s lost phone, all went well, sent my deductible payment of $249. Everything was confirmed and processed. Following day someone returned the phone. It was damaged. I called and asked how much would have been the deductible for damaged phone. They informed me that it was $99. During these tough times that we are going thru, I called to inform them that I recovered the “lost” phone and that I will return it to Assurant. And asked if I will get reimbursed the $150. The person I spoke with on 4/17 at 7:55 pm told me that the only way they could do that was that I had to return both phones. I did not understand why return both phones. I informed that I will follow up the next day.
This morning I called and asked to speak with a Supervisor (Sandra D #**). She informed me that she spoke with a higher manager Yolanda A. and nothing could be done nor reversed. The worse of all they said that I didn’t call on the 17th that they is not record of my call. Don’t think is right and not fair, insurance companies make a lot more and is so easy for them to pay back. I will not give up!!!!

Customer service representatives were very condescending and inappropriate. When I asked for help from a different representative, he continued to offer unsolicited answers. Clearly, I wasn't satisfied with his job performance and despite my continued requests to speak with someone else, he continued to offer very condescending remarks. I was very disappointed!

After 4 years my cellphone stopped charging so I filed my first claim. The Agent was very pleasant and helpful and assured me that I would receive a updated version. When I received the replacement phone I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED to receive a REFURBISHED PHONE that was very different in size and function from my Alcatel Fierce XL and when it was activated I didn't get transfered any of my Texts and Pictures. Many of my numbers didn't transfer over either so I had to keep my old phone and leave it plugged up since it wasn't holding the charge. I HATE THE REPLACENT PHONE but since we are in the midst of a Pandemic I will have to make do till I can buy my own replacement phone.

The first phone replacement I got is a POS. I had to order another one and they sent it to a T-Mobile store where they charge me another five freaking dollars. On top of that it's just as lousy. I paid for a brand new phone and insurance and I get a refurb piece of crap. I don't have the time or money to keep sending it back as I am teleworking due to Covid-19.

1/2 hour after I received the new phone I got a call that my old phone had been found. I no longer needed the new phone since the old one had information I needed for my work. I returned the phone, on 4/11, two days after it was received. Was told that the refund of the deductible would be made once the new phone was in transit. The phone was received by Assurant on 4/16 but the refund was not made. 4/17 I called to find out about the refund and was now told that it would be 2 to 3 weeks before it would be refunded. We are in the mist of covid 19, I have no income coming in. That money is essential to my survival. If the original promise was not true, how could I trust the second one.

I recently used my phone insurance to replace both my and I phones. Both were 3 years old, and the screens and were barely working. Once I completed the order process. Within an hour, I got an email stating our replacement phones were on the way. They got here the next day. I definitely recommend them.

Smashed phone in a fall. The replacement came in a flash. The associate at the branch hand on protective gloves stayed 6 ft back and got me up and running. Super service. Never needed this type insurance before. Glad to have had it. My thumb and ankle are still sore from sprain but my phone is perfect.

This has been the worst insurance claim experience I’ve ever encountered. I was better off declining or requesting my phone didn’t carry insurance, because I feel I was robbed, not only once but twice. Once by T-Mobile for paying insurance since I bought the phone and once by Assurant for designing their claim process with having absolutely no consideration for the customer and then claiming their obligation is fulfilled when sending you a replacement device of THEIR choice! Very bad business!

Worst service I have seen and I've seen a lot at 72. It's been 10 days since I requested a replacement phone. The wrong address was put down to FedEx. I'm not even sure it's corrected yet. Phone calls, emails for hours. I'm over it. Never again will I use Assurant. And it still cost me $ 100 deductible.

I was very pleased on how quick I received replacement phone. One issue I was having was that my screen was black and broken. Due to the global pandemic we're experiencing. It was hard to find an open phone shop to help me retrieve my info from my phone. I tried numerous place. Finally I found a place that would help me. But I needed more time (a day or two) before the 10 day return of old phone.
I emailed claim department about my situation and was hoping that someone would help and understand. The email I received from Anita was simply a reminder of when phone is supposed to be returned, no extra time to return. Considering the times we're in at this moment I was hoping for a li'l help or understanding. Especially since I've had Assurant for many years and this being 1st time I've used it. Company responded to my issue immediately. My replacement phone was here in less than 24 hours. I was in shock! I've never received service like this. There was no argument on their part. The gentleman who helped me with my application for a new phone was exceptionally friendly, helpful and professional.

I could not believe how easy it was to file my claim on-line. I had the entire form completed and approved while I was still on hold to talk to personnel. My new phone was delivered to my home in less that 24 hours. All I had to do was mail the damaged phone (postage prepaid envelope provided) within 10 days. What a positive experience!

After 2 days going back and forth with Apple, I tweeted my frustration to Assurant. Within minutes I got a message in my inbox to call me. Morgan called and had the problem solved with a replacement phone sent the next day. She was calm, showed empathy and stayed on top of the problem. Am a keeper cause of her.

The replacement phone they gave me (which I currently have) is broke! It continues to restart and they are not helpful! Customer service sucks! They just wanted my old phone back and just pushed me over to Apple for a BROKEN REFURBISHED PHONE THEY (Assurant) GAVE ME! I would NOT recommend.

When I called the first time they told me that I just had to go over to the phone repair place next to where I work which made it easy. That I could go as soon as we got off the phone because their info would be sent right over. I got there and there was nothing in their system. Their counter guy helped me contact the right people to find out what was going on and the lady informed me that they were sending me a new phone instead of having it repaired. It was a complete waste of time for me to walk over and stand around waiting on the phone to find out I just needed to wait for the mail. Other than that it was great!

I received a replacement phone only to discover that the replacement phone was defective. I requested another phone and was told that a replacement will be sent once I mail the defective phone. In a time of pandemic and living in an extremely hot zone! Thanks to Tmobile. They resolved the matter directly.

The new device that I receive is defective, the screen has a yellow tint and does not get as bright as my previous phone. Secondly, I have to press down on the phone hard in order to get it to work which is a real inconvenience. Lastly, it gets extremely hot when charging and I have to turn it off only for it to do an upgrade when it turns back on.

Doesn't the title say it all? My deductible was only 99 dollars! And in the past, my deductibles have always been closer to if not 200 dollars... So I was pleasantly surprised and grateful that my replacement came really fast! Also, it didn't hurt that my replacement phone was new! The online form was easy and I thought it was going to be quick and painless to get my replacement device. 15 days later, I'm still on my old broken device, waiting a new one. The online form I submitted was a waste of time. It went nowhere so I had to call the phone number to make the claim anyway. I always had pleasant encounters with helpful CSRs but hold times were very long and there was no way around it (online couldn't help because I had an unusual case). I was sent (overnight, which was great) a replacement device that was cracked straight out of the box. This is where the situation got difficult.
Many phone calls later I finally received a label to return the replacement device (meanwhile still using my original broken one). Then they told me not to send it back right away because they were "fumigating the warehouse" and would not be sending me a new placement until the following week. So I held it until Monday and sent it back and immediately called them (very long wait time) to let them know it was on its way, because a few days before they told me to call them as soon as it was on its way back so they could immediately ship a new one.
This time they said they couldn't send the new one until FedEx scanned the label. I would have to call them again (another very long wait time) in an hour or so to see if it was scanned yet. If it wasn't? Call again in another hour after that. And so on and so on all day long until finally it was scanned by FedEx pickup. Could they just set an alert to send it when it was scanned? Nope. I am now 14 days and 7 phone calls into this claim and still using the same broken device I started with. No idea if/when the replacement is on its way.

Extremely frustrating. Incompetent website. All links led back to same place. Could not get any progress online or phone. Ridiculous automated service and recording. Took me two days to get my claim filed and deductible paid. Had to wait thru the weekend to receive a used phone. The screen protector wasn't put on correctly and was torn across the top and is peeling up now. Have had the phone a week and does not perform anywhere close to the previous phone. NOT A SATISFIED CUSTOMER AT ALL. AS MUCH MONEY AS I SPEND WITH TMOBILE. Not to mention this is a business account and lost out on business while dealing with this. Ridiculous.

Lost Phone, went to T-Mobile, they gave Assurant's phone number to make a claim and said to be sure to put the claim in the account holder's phone number for prompt service. Went online and put in claim, was asked for $49.00 co-pay ahead of time. Claim came back denied because the phone number didn't match up with the phone. We followed the instructions we were given.
Had to file another claim, **, in which the co-pay could not be transferred!!! Had to pay again, but payment was not asked for before they could process the claim like the first time. I feel that I have been robbed of $49.00 and would appreciate a refund!!! If the co-pay was not asked for until the claim was approved the second time, why was it demanded before I could even proceed on the first claim?

My husband, Maurice, was having problems with his phone charging. The charger would not fit the phone. The phone had to be replaced. After talking to Assurant, his phone was ordered & we received it overnight. The only problem we have is I don't feel that we should have had to pay the $49.00 for the claim as he only had the phone a short time.

I was disappointed with the cost of the phone. I have been paying on the insurance for close to a year. If you calculate the cost of the replacement phone of $100 and then calculate the cost of Ithe insurance for a year. It would have cost me the same price to buy it new. I was irritated that the store nearest to me only had two phones to choose from. Both were the most expensive phones. They had none of the advertised phones.
I am a single mom and a full time student. Barely scraping by now that I am out of work due to the virus. It is a shame that I got taken advantage of the price due to the tragic times we are living in. If it had not been such a dire need for me to have a phone I would not have done so. I am disappointed that low income people are the ones that suffer the most. It is a perfect definition of the injustice that is placed on the low income Americans. The operator was helpful. I was told at the time of purchase of the original phone that the insurance replacement would be $50. I was caught off guard and forced to scramble to come up with enough to pay for the phone and the service for two phones. Not easy to do. I felt like it was unnecessary added stress to my already full to the max stress levels.
Why during this time when it is so important for everyone to stay informed and connected would phones cost so much. I take responsibility for losing my phone at the grocery store, in fact someone walked by my basket and took it out of my cart. Still I take responsibility for being careless. Definitely a lesson learned. I had to sacrifices food in order to buy this phone. Other than that the service was good and the time it took to ship my phone and for me to receive it was good.

I had so many issues filing a claim for my device, nobody seemed to know how to do it. I also needed this device for my autistic child and we went far too long without it due to this. I was disappointed. But we finally got a device from the last person I spoke with. I was just massively upset with how many people didn’t seem to care about the issue. I have never been so disappointed in a company in all my life. I pay for this service every month and pay the deductible. For over 10 employees to blow me off or lie to me. I truly thank the last woman I spoke with for caring and making sure this got sorted out.

I return an package and upon arrival when picked up from the post to the warehouse somehow the package disappeared and now I have to pay for the item missing which I feel it's unfair as long as I've been with the company. Now they saying it's my fault and have to pay for a phone I don't have but the warehouse employees do. I really don't understand none of this. They were supposed to send me images of how my package came but still haven't gotten anything.

I had circumstances that made the normal claim procedure more difficult. However because the Supervisor knew how to do her job well She was able to help me. I am very Thankful to have gotten Her. A lot of people don't know how to do the job or simply won't take the extra time to do it right. Thank goodness She did! I I need my phone every day. Was sent a Note 9 plus that we could not activate. We have Cricket and this was a Sprint phone. Even when we changed the access point it would not allow calls. When turned on came up Sprint. I purchased an unassigned unlock phone and didn't get the same replacement. Then we were asked to return and still have not received the replacement even after you have charged us.

I filed a claim, and followed all the instructions to return my damaged phone. My phone was returned last month (received 3/31- with proof of delivery), yet I keep getting emails prompting me to return the phone that you already received? It doesn't seem like Assurant is doing things on their end. Or it would appear my email address was sold to a spam bot that keeps sending me misinformation about the claim that should already be closed out. Either way I'm not sure what is going on over there, it doesn't seem legal.
Assurant gives you 10 days from when the new device was shipped to switch over to your new device and return the old one - it takes more time than that. It seems like Assurant is trying to give customers an impossible task, in hopes they fail - so that they can charge the customer more money. It takes longer than 10 days to receive the phone, switch over the data (because customers have to do that themselves); clean the old device/do a factory reset; and then finally ship it back. That's an unrealistic timeframe given all the steps required by the claim. You should give customers ample time to complete all those tasks, since it's your policy. I met the deadline - yet, the claim still appears to be open?
When customers rush to follow all your instructions to get the claim closed, you (Assurant) ought to be on top of things and ensure you're doing work on your end.I reached out to customer service to see why I kept getting emails about the phone that was properly returned, the customer care rep. assured me that the phone was received and nothing further was needed on my end. A few days later I got another email claiming that my phone was not yet received (even though Assurant confirmed it WAS, just a few days before). Get it together over there.

I put in a claim for a new device on March 27th. My device stopped holding a charge even with a new battery. Upon filing the claim, I was told in order to complete the process, I had to call customer service. For what? I called over multiple days and got a "try again later" recorded response (due to Covid). I then wrote an email to inquire why my claim was taking so long (April 2nd). I got a message back on April 14th!!! "We've processed your claim." Well, too late. I switched carriers altogether. Asurion was fantastic, I miss them. What did I pay insurance for? Most people cannot go two weeks without a cell phone and the virus situation has made things of this nature even more urgent. Get it together.

I can't believe the ease and speed of Assurant's system, seriously! Sort of I sound like a commercial, but it's true nonetheless. I filled a claim in the evening, and had a response showing approval by the next afternoon. Also, the replacement came within two days or something? Everything I needed to pop the SIM out and put it into the replacement phone was right there. Super easy. My thanks to Assurant, and T-Mobile, for taking care of me so promptly!

I purchased my device outright for $249.99 from T-Mobile and decided the right thing to do would be to purchase insurance on all the devices on my plan (2 Samsung Galaxy phones and an iPhone x) . Just some background-I have never filed a claim, but always carried insurance for that protection) I recently dropped my Samsung Galaxy A20 in water and thought I was in the clear, but 2 weeks later it completely stops working. I filed a claim. I paid the $49.00 deductible and I was approved at 8:09 am Saturday. I knew since it was the weekend I would have to wait some additional time for them to ship, and that was fine. They notified me I was being sent the exact same model and notified me of the tracking. Perfect.
Imagine my horror when they also notified me that if for some reason they do not receive the damaged device they would charge my card $900. Whoa! I did not expect this "reputable insurance company to upcharge $650 for a device that retails $249.99. I refuse to be put in this dishonest situation. All it would take is for this company to claim they never received my damaged device, regardless if I would have tracking to prove otherwise, because I know Visa would side with the merchant. And this merchant knows that. I refuse to be put in this situation. Do not buy this insurance. Any business that up charges that dramatically is not an ethical business with customers in mind.

I carry my charging system everywhere I go with my phone at all times. I lost my phone with my charging system at the time I lost my phone. Assurant just send me your phone without a charging system. What should I do, then I find out, when I received a new phone, (without the durability* to charge the new Insurance co-pay-phone received!") I feel cheated! I believe this is wrong!" Attempted to use the internet replacement option unsuccessfully, got "kicked off"/timed out and then had difficulty with phone payment portal. Ended up getting a refurbished replacement phone timely but, it quit working in 12 days and ended up getting a new phone. In honesty in retrospect if I had known the insurance was for a refurbished phone I never would have done it and won't in the future. Ended up spending more for the monthly payment and deductible than the cost of a "new" vs. refurbished phone.

Not worth the monthly premium and copayment. I Insured a brand new phone, after 3 years, screen broke, requested the replacement. A refurbished phone was send, unable to activate, missing parts. On internet same phone, same price as copayment.

Replacement of stolen device. It was a very simple painless process to file the claim. The Assurant employee was kind and helpful. Filing was easy and quick online. I received a response right away that my claim would take some time to review. Within two days the claim was approved and I received the replacement two days after that. I would suggest adding more detailed on what to do with the replacement. Fortunately I was able to remember how to transfer my old phone to my new one from the last time I upgraded. All in all it has been a great experience.

I waited and waited. I called and was told that my address was incorrect. I verified my address and it was in fact the correct address. No communication from them. I then got an email that I could be fined over 2k for not returning the phone. This was after the mandatory Covid 19 lockdown. I am dropping my insurance with them. I ended up sending the phone the sent back. It was a refurbished phone.

I was told this would be a quick process and the phone would be to me the next day. After I submitted my initial request I waited over 24 hours with no response. I called and was told an email was supposed to had gone out saying I needed to submit either my bill or driver's license. I went online to submit the information needed and it showed it was done successfully. I waited again with no response so I contacted someone through the site and was told to email information. I did this and still didn’t receive a response.
I once again contacted someone through the site's chat and was told to try and upload again and that it takes a couple hours to show. I did this again twice and waited more than two hours, checked back and still no update. I did this one more time, contacted someone there and asked for a manager to call me which never happened but did finally get an email saying it was approved and the phone would ship. Overall this took 7-8 days to get done...very frustrating.

I didn't get the right device, and I called to know how to return it to get the right one they send me a tag to ship it on my email address. It wasn't my mistake they put it difficult, to send it back. I passed 13 minutes on a line to know if I can print the paper to ship something, the response was NO. Almost everything are close due to this virus and I have a 20 months old baby with me. Finally to shipped it I had to go so far to get access to print it and capable to ship it. Bad experience.

I was going through the claims process online which offered me a jump upgrade. Of course, I accepted the upgrade which left the T-Mobile store very confused and required that I pay off the remaining balance on my phone in addition to my deductible for the claim, because the phone that I had was the broken one. I ended up cancelling the jump upgrade and resubmitting a standard claim. The jump process you have in place is not ready for deployment and requires much more cooperation from your partners.

My wife's LG V20 phone wouldn't turn on. A T-Mobile employee tried, without success. I contacted Assurant requesting a replacement. I tried the online process, and that needs some work. So, I talked to an Assurant representative, and after a brief conversation about the phone, she said a replacement would be mailed to us. We received a new phone about 4 days later. The only glitch was that the emailed instructions said to follow the detailed instructions about returning the old phone. No instructions were received. So I contacted an Assurant rep, and she said just drop it in the return envelope. That confusion needs to be corrected. In summary, we are very pleased with what Assurant provided and would recommend this insurance plan to others.

Damaged phone. It was a little difficult. System needs to be a little more detailed. Had to call to figure out how to upload a document. It also took 3 days before it was shipped out. Actually waiting a total of 6 days before the replacement phone was received.

Replacement of LG V40. Hey Folks, In general? Return time was too short. It would have been better to put the damaged screen unit in a return box with label instead of a mailing sleeve. Your replacement price was just silly knowing that a new one at retailer pricing is three forty nine, USD. Other than all that? You did fairly, but the experience was not comfortable, especially knowing that the unit was not protected properly on return. Boxed is safer.

I got a refurbished phone that was all scratched. Looked worst than the phone I was trying to replace. Not even with a charger. I paid a deductible and insurance the entire time for this terrible device! Only kept it now because I needed a phone.

I found our experience to be extremely hypocritical. While we are told to expect delays for our phone due to Covid19. I was told that they could not accommodate a request submitted 1 day late even after having a spouse hospitalized for pneumonia.

My son and I did a claim on the same day and they only did his phone and they never checked in with me. I had to call Assurant and they said they can only do one phone at a time even though it's two different phones and I pay a separate policy on his phone. After kindly expressing my disappointment they said after his bad phone was returned they would send out my phone. I sent his phone back and waited.... and waited.... nothing. So I call back again and at first they say they never received his phone only after I provided the tracking number where it showed delivered to them and they called another department did they figure out it had been returned a week prior to me calling. They said they would now process my phone and would send it out that day. Again I kindly express my dissatisfaction and we cordially end the call.
Again I wait and wait and wait. 3 days after he said it was being shipped. I get an email saying they shipped it.... 3 days after they told me it was gonna ship. They took their sweet time to send my new phone but charged me the $99 immediately when I was on the phone. I was not pleased at all with my experience with assurant this time. Have been looking into other cell phone providers with different cellular device insurance companies. I have 6 policies on all 6 of my lines with US Cellular.. and because of this experience us cellular and assurant are likely losing my business for good.

Assurant has charged me twice ($100 x 2 = $200) deductible for my two lost devices claims. They were supposed to charge ($50 x 2 = $100) only for two devices. So, I am working with them to fix that issue. Thanks.

Reps were uninformed and argumentative. I had a to hang up on me. I had a rep argue with me about the definition of delivery date. I was sent the wrong device without notification. I had my claim approved by the 8pm ET deadline for Monday delivery and they failed on that guarantee.

Replacement Device Continued Malfunction. One of the devices on my line was experiencing major malfunction issues; constantly restarting, minimal reception for incoming/ outgoing calls, dropping calls upon selection of the answer button therefore I submitted the request for a replacement device via Claim Number ** on Thursday, 3/26/20. I checked the status of the claim daily via the track my claim option throughout the weekend. Again as the device was not able to receive or make calls, I submitted and email inquiry via the Track My Claim Help link on 03/30/20 at 13:19 PST.
I received a response for Claim # ** the following evening( 03/31/20) via the Processing Services Center based on my Track My Claim Help submission, not based on my original claim, the inquiry confirmed the shipping address and confirmed shipment of the replacement device. The replacement device was received on the afternoon on 04/03/20, and was set up at a T-Mobile store on 04/04/20. Within 24 hours of set-up the replacement device begun experiencing the same malfunctions as the original device, and therefore on Tuesday 04/07/20, we went to a store and purchased a newer, updated device.
Although I understand that in the current state of the world, there are staffing limitations and slower processing times, the fact that I had to reach out determine why there was a lack of status update on my Claim submission was very disappointing, and the need to fully upgrade to a new device as there was continued malfunction with the replacement device was a waste of the deductible payment.

My package was "delivered" by UPS the day after I submitted my claim. I was at my place of residence for the entire day and never received a knock on my door. I also checked many times for the package but I never saw it. I waited for a week thinking that delivery was slowed due to the ongoing pandemic. Finally I searched through my emails to find the tracking method and found that UPS had supposedly deliver the package many days previous. I contacted T-Mobile to find out what could be done and I was forwarded to Assurant.
I have been without a phone for 1 week. The loss of package has resulted in an investigation that could take up to 2 weeks, who knows since the investigation will be done by the same awful agency that failed to deliver my package. Then on top of that I have to wait another few days for the replacement device to be delivered probably by the same terrible company (UPS) that screwed all of this up in the first place. So in all I could be without a phone for up to a month. Why would you use the worst shipping service in the world to deliver one of the most vital pieces of equipment to every day life? UPS is a garbage company and I wouldn't trust them to deliver anything properly or on time.
Secondly, why wouldn't you force them to knock on the door and require a signature verification of delivery from the recipient? Instead you allow them to get away with "left at front door" as their means of verification, in a day when many delivery services have been caught on camera stealing their own deliveries or having people steal deliveries from the porches. So in essence I am being forced to go without a phone for up to a month because your company can't find the brain power to force their hired companies to do the job they were paid to do or provide any objective quality evidence to the same.

The service was at best a disappointment. I have paid insurance on my device since I purchased the phone in 2014. The phone cost $230 plus taxes. I damaged my phone in February. After I paid a $49 deductible they sent a used replacement device, without a charger or user booklet nor could the sim card be inserted properly. I returned their device which they received on 4/4/2020. I am still waiting for my deductible to be reimbursed. Poor customer service.

I returned the new and kept my cracked screen. I was initially disappointed to find I didn't get the entire phone and accessories box (NO-charger, transfer data cables, pin to open sim card holder, manual etc.). I tried to Smart switch my apps, pix, etc and I got locked out of my email, banking, everything. I sent the phone back because I only had 10 days to send the phone back. I'm an RN in the ICU and work nights. I received the the day before a 5 day stretch. For 2 days I was trying to make the switch while frustrations kept growing. Day 9 I had to send the phone back. The positives: overnight delivery, return label included, and prompt support refunding my $99 deductible.

I recently had an out-dated Note-5. I filed a claim for a return of the same phone. However I received a Galaxy s8. 1- I'm not use to 2- I like galaxy note., because my hands are huge and when trying to type it's difficult so I prefer to use the pen in the note. NEW phone was sent back to you and we have NO TRACKING and NO REFUND. I have checked online for any claim info with Assurant and online with USPS. I have called Assurant and USPS and was told we only have 89 days for YOU to process this claim for reimbursement. NO ONE IS ABLE TO HELP ME! You can't keep our money when YOU choose to go through USPS and provide a return shipping label with NO tracking on it whatsoever and we did everything WE were supposed to do quickly.
Furthermore, we have been paying monthly for this BS insurance on EVERY DEVICE, 4 of them to be exact. Our T-Mobile store verified to make a claim and the deductible would be $99. On our website it says $99. YOU and ONLY YOU say, "Oh, you're ALL wrong, it is $250." So now, you're just going to keep the monthly payments, the $250 deductible, the cost of the NEW, RETURNED phone AND leave us with a janky, busted up $900 phone that we are still paying for. Fricking awesome doing business with you all. I can ASSURE you I am UNIMPRESSED to put it kindly.

When the claim was entered, apparently there was critical information left out, yet I never received an email or any type of alert indicating that the processing would be delayed. I only discovered the problem by logging back on to the claim when I hadn't heard anything and/or received the new phone. Took 7 days to get a new phone - that's way too long.

My phone was damaged on 3/31/20. I contacted Assurant that same day by their web page. My payment was made by a credit card. They gave me a claim # **, and a confirmation # **. The claim was approve at that time and was emailed that the phone would be sent th to next day. However I did DC not receive the phone for 7 days. I messaged Assurant about 10 times and was continually lied to and told the phone would be sent the next day. After not receiving the phone for 7 days I contacted Tmobile by messaging them and canceled my Assurant phone insurance. Assurant is a bunch of liars.

September 24, 2019 my Samsung s9 was damaged a day before I got shipped off to Fort Leonardwood Missouri on military orders. Upon arriving home March 24, 2020 I tried to get the phone replaced and was denied several times because I didn't file a claim within the 90 day time frame even after explaining I was on ordered military duties.

The website stated that my deductible would be $99. After speaking to a supervisor I was informed that my deductible was $0 for mechanical damage, so that brightened my day. On March 20th I was involved in an armed robbery and suffered a gunshot wound to my leg. Among the things stolen was my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Mind you upset as I already was, the first associate I talked to provided false hope. I did not have another phone to use to aid the detectives in finding the man who shot me. The process also allowed me to miss days of work not being able to contact my supervisors to inform them of what was going on. I made it very clear to the associate that It was crucial I needed the process expedited under the circumstances. She made it very clear that since I made the claim before 1pm that My phone should be there in 1-2 days.
It took 8 days for my phone to arrive. After countless trips to my local US Cellular countless calls to customer service. Out of the several I talked to the last associate I talked to was the only one who had common sense to get things done and transfer my case to the special department. I feel as though this was the worst experience I’ve ever had with an insurance company ever and quite frankly I’ve wrecked 3 cars. And you’re not even a car insurance company. I believe there should be a full refund or partial credit back to my account for the outstandingly terrible services I received from multiple associates.

I was sent a defective phone, when I called to have a replacement sent to me I was told I need to send this one to you first. This is not acceptable. You sent me a device that isn't 100% and now I am expected to drop it off, during a quarantine, and be without a phone for multiple days, per your rep, due to no fault of my own. Make it right, send a phone to me the same way you did when I paid for it. Next day with a return label and packaging. This is your fault not mine.
