Mobile phone insurance is a scam. Do not expect to get a brand new device which you got when you purchased it from the retailer. Assurant does not provide new devices and you should skip this and save your money. Complete waste of money and time.

I received the replacement device but the SIM card didn't function in it. I waited for the label to send it back for almost 24 hours. I finally sent it today and hope a new and better device arrives soon.

My phone was getting hot not charging, pop ups, shutting off, the charging port wasnt working. I was told that this or my phone that I have have been banned from the US and I was told that I would get a Samsung phone but instead I was sent another ZTE promax Blade.

I was sent a refurbished phone that I've only had for 2 weeks and I'm already having problems with it, the phone takes a long time to charge and gets really hot. Also when I do outgoing calls or get incoming calls the person on the other side can't hear me. I've been trying to be patient with the phone but honestly it's getting frustrating.

No I'm not happy. I will resolve this problem with my attorney. I was happy to have my phone replaced to then 8 days later have it messed up externally which I didn't do! I did not disable the external functions to get another damn phone. This whole ordeal is unreal!!! I am not only screwed out of 100$ for the replacement phone that ya'll say is not covered but now have to buy another new phone. I believe when I got the return label from ya'll then ya'll would have not sent me another phone so now that would be 100$ and the phone back which leaves me nothing but out of pocket up to 500$. Ya'll are insane to screw customers like you are doing and I will not only talk to my attorney but also report ya'll to Better Business Bureau! Thank you. Have a blessed day!

Didn't realize it would be a refurbished Phone. Everything seem to work at the present. It took a while being the claimant. l didn't have all the info in hand. Such as my Customer's info. Otherwise the call wouldn't have taken so long. Everyone was very kind And helpful. Thanks, Bobbie

Since this was a new phone I expected a new phone replacement, instead I got a refurbished phone. I explained that the T-Mobile rep did not put the screen protector on correctly since the first time I dropped it the screen protector fall off intact and my screen cracked. I have only had the phone for 2 months. I am not happy with either TMobile or Assurant. I spent a lot of money and have been a customer for over 15 years and feel that it was relayed to me, "Oh well your bad for dropping your phone." I have never made a claim and feel taken advantage of.

Replaced IPhone XR. I called in and the first rep was rude and actually hung up on me. The second rep was amazing and got my issue resolved ASAP. I received my device quickly and sent the old device the next day.

Initially the start of the process was rocky. I was told that I would be contacted within the first 24 hours if I was approved or not for not having insurance. I was not contacted, I had to reach out in order to get approved which was mentally frustrated. The receiving of the phone was great because it came when expected. Thank you.

I like the Performance of the phone, the speed and everything. BUT I ask for a BIGGER AND WIDER PHONE. I got everything I ask for EXCEPT THE SIZE.... And on that note they did not have a case and protection glass cover for it. Salesperson stated they don't make them anymore. So why would you send me a phone too SMALL, and also I CAN'T receive any additional products for it? This is what I upgrade to?

The process was easy and the turnaround was fast. I did not have wait several days to obtain the replacement phone, which was very appreciated. This was the second time I had to file a claim under my account, and I thought it would not go through even though both instances were different and it was for a different phone under my account. I expected to have to wait a longer time and answer more questions, but it was not the case, I am very satisfied with the outcome.

My experience was average and not spectacular. I had to wait until I was told the phone would be sent out some 4 days later and when I get the phone it’s a different color and not working 100% as did the phone that was lost prior.

I was lied to on Mother's Day. I called about a faulty replacement phone. I was told it was shipped and when I called the next night Monday I find out it isn't that y'all have to have the faulty phone first so I have already been 4 days without a phone, paid my bill and I find out I have to go longer with no phone. This is horrible business. You're about to lose a loyal customer.

Cracked screen replacement phone. The phone I was sent has an echo when I talk on it and I have a very hard time to get it to charge. I'm not satisfied at all if I had known I was going to get a second rate phone I would have gone to someone else.

I wasn’t happy with the experience because my ID wasn’t accepted at first and I had to wait such a long time until things gotten straightened. I just believe that I had been through enough yet still had to do to much and go through to much with the insurance that I’m paying for.

The Replacement phone we received through Assurant has several problems. I was not able to find a customer service phone number listed anywhere so that I could speak with a real live representative. This is very extremely frustrating.

I unfortunately made a claim last year and then realized it wasn't necessary. No one from TMobile or Assurant caught it. This time I made a claim and paid the $99 which is crazy considering the monthly fee as well. I could have gotten this done privately for $100 cheaper. They mail me a solid black phone. It was not the same color I had. Here is where the problem is. If I am still paying a monthly fee for a phone plus insurance I should get the exact same phone I had before. Refurbished phones never work out as well as the original in my opinion anyway. I got the right color through TMobile after doing this claim but now I have the wrong color stylus. I realize this is somewhat petty but if I am paying almost if not over $50 a month for a phone not including service, I should get what I had before.
A few days later I also got a text stating I am no longer eligible for insurance since this is my second claim. Again, the one last year should have never been a claim. I was in a car accident and tea spilled on top of my phone. It was never submerged. Unfortunately I suffered a concussion and wasn't thinking clearly when I submitted the claim. Neither TMobile or Assurant caught that. The phone is water proof. Very disappointing. So I again paid $99. I didn't have to fix my phone when I could've saved money and got it done locally and kept my original phone. Never again.

Made a claim with the insurance as my device was stolen and thankfully had an insurance plan. Claim was approved within a few hours but the new replacement device (anticipated a few day delay due to COVID-19) was not shipped until 9 days later (phones usually rapid shipped overnight within 24 hours of claim approval). I had inquired with the insurance company about the delay after a week of not having any notification that the replacement device had shipped and was told that the replacement (not a very popular model) was on back order and they did not know when they would be available but once they were available they would send me the shipping info.
The shipping information was sent within 12 hours of their previous reply saying there was a back order which leads me to be under the impression that they had either "forgotten" about the claim or had overlooked it and didn't ship a device and used the excuse that they didn't have any replacements at the time as the reason to why I hadn't received a replacement. I have had other orders ship and arrive faster already from other companies within the last week. The replacement device shipped 24 hours after getting an email with the tracking information and is expected to arrive within the next 24 hours. In total the amount of time to get a replacement device (they claim rapid shipping because they know your device is important and is usually received within 48hrs of making the initial claim) for this claim will be, hopefully if it arrives within the expected time frame, 10 days.

After a month-long claims process and jumping thru hoops, my claim is totally approved and the deductable paid for and at this point, I am expecting my new device to arrive in a day or so... Then I get an email saying "We're sorry you were not satisfied with your replacement device. We'll ship you another one." But the thing is I never got a replacement device! The email after that one says "Good news! We've processed your reimbursement." But I never got reimbursed for the cost of my phone! When I called to find out what was going on the first time I was hung up on! The second time I was told that no one could tell me what had happened just that my claim was being revoked.

Got a callback about my damaged headphone. Customer service help was very helpful and was able to get me a replacement ship in 24 hours. Very professional as well explained that there was no guarantee on replacement headsets but said she would see what she could do and was able to replace the pair that was damaged.

Completely mishandled every aspect of my exchange. Told them I didn't want the "comparable" model phone replacement - they sent it anyway. Called back, was on hold and/or dealing with an incompetent rep for almost an hour, only to be told to just cancel my claim and keep checking back to see if my phone was in stock. Now I have to send back the wrong phone and waste more of my time. I wish there was an option for 0 stars.

Filing a claim was easy and painless. Delivery time was amazing and return process was very streamlined. Insurance plan was totally worth it. Co-pay for an older iPhone should be cheaper than the current model though.

I really like my new replacement phone a lot. I automatically got an upgrade since my Note 5 was no longer an option. The only issue was the initial representative I spoke with forgot to list my apartment number on the claim, which caused UPS to return the phone back to sender. Instead of getting my phone within 48 hours, I had to wait 4 days.

My Samsung J7 screen went black so you sent me a Samsung J7 Prime Pop which was an inferior, refurbished device as a replacement. The camera on the J7 Prime Pop was grainy and I sent it back to you as instructed by Naiomi for a phone that was like in quality to my Samsung J7 Galaxy. I was told then By a supervisor, Jason that I would have to get 3 phones from T-mobile that were comparable to my J7 Galaxy and then pick the one I wanted. A 3-way call was done between myself, Jason and the T-Mobile representative named Everest. He gave us 3 devices to choose from and stated that the Samsung A20 would be the best out of the three. Jason said he had to get authorization but it should be no problem and I would hear from him by email in 24 to 48 hours. This was on May 7, 2020.
To appreciate this I have been without a phone since May 2, 2020 and as of this moment still have no phone. I never heard from Jason again so I borrowed a phone and called to see what was going on and spoke with another supervisor named Emma on May 9,2020 and she told me that I had to take the Samsung J7Prime Pop as a replacement because that is the phone that Assurant has a contract with T-Mobile to use as a replacement, that I didn't have a choice even though the J7 Prime Pop is an inferior phone and I should just take the J7 Prime Pop and that I should contact T-mobile and bring the J7 Prime Pop to the store and see if T-mobile would take the phone Assurant gave me and give me another phone. I'm suppose to be receiving another J7 Prime Pop from Assurant on May 12, 2020.
I called T-Mobile on May 9, 2020 and spoke with Erica and she said that I could take it into the T-mobile store and see if they would exchange the phone for a comparable phone but said more than likely I would have to upgrade my phone because my original Samsung J7 Galaxy was no longer available. So long story short, if I want a comparable phone to my original I have to pay for an upgrade and having insurance on my phone is a waste of money. By the way, I paid my deductible of $49.00 on May 2, 2020 in order to technically get an inferior replacement. If asked by anyone in person or on-line if they should insure their devices with Assurant I will advise them not to!! Your company doesn't take care about the quality of the devices they use as replacements. Thank you.

Filed my claim on a thursday, was told because I'm a business account I'd be expedited and will have my phone by saturday. Didnt get it until monday. By wednesday I put a tempered glass screen protector on it and the refurbished phone's screen cracked by simply putting it on. Called Assurant and they wanted another 250$ for another refurbished phone. Told me because I took delivery and it wasnt cracked, it was out of their hands. Very hesitant to ever deal with them again. Poor customer service. A screen shouldnt crack by putting a PROTECTIVE screen on top of it. Especially when only a couple of days have gone by since I received it. I called T-Mobile and they are sending me a brand new one since these guys failed. I'd put zero stars if I could.

Xfinity mobile and Assurant said they would ship my phone overnight but I did not get mine until 4 days after submitting a claim. Never again!! I had to spend an additional $75 on a tracking phone in order to have accessibility while moving into a new apartment.

Samsung S9. The worst experience. Reps are rude and unprofessional. They kept putting me on hold only to pass me from one to another and none of them knew how to resolve the problem. Am very disappointed and dissatisfied with how they treat people and with the device that I received. The new device the battery is overheating and the life span of battery is very bad. l really hope my issue get resolved soon. It's been a nightmare.

My son was pushed in a pool with the phone in his pocket. Unfortunately, regardless of how quick he realized got out of the car and attempted to dry the phone, the would not turn on. I filed the claim on I believe the very next day. The claim was approved moments after that. The phone was shipped to me and my son had his replacement phone. I had a small issue where when filing the claim they asked for a phone number and I provided my phone number instead of the phone number of the phone that was damaged. I spoke to customer service who advised normally I would need to pay a fee to change the phone number but waive that fee which made my experience much more positive. If I would have had to pay to change the phone number I would have been very upset and inconvenienced. Overall the claim and process was a positive experience.

Poor customer service. Assurant was very quick to approve the claim and charge the $99 fee for a replacement phone, yet lacked follow through with FedEx in having them expedite the replacement phone. SHAMEFUL!!!!

Phone Replacement Activation. There were no instructions given on what to do with the new phone. The only thing in the box was a refurbished phone, a new simcard and a SASE for return of damaged phone. Very disappointed.

Took a bit of a back and forth between T-Mobile and Assurant, but was resolved in the end With a replacement of the Device. The Device was delivered promptly a day or so later by FedEx. The communications could be better between tmobile and Assurant.

Galaxy S8 Replaced. Replacement was clean and free of any defects. Very satisfied. Will always be hesitant with refurb replacements because of previous bad experiences - but this particular claim has restored my faith in Assurant.

Everything went fine except for the fact that I believe I've received a reconditioned phone and the battery won't last through the day and it can't be replaced like my old phone. It's on the charger now and it had 100% charge this morning with very moderate use. Not happy at all.

I put a claim in on April 30th, paid $99 for my deductible and they sent me the wrong phone the next day. I have LG v60 dual screen. My dual screen cracked. I never got my dual screen. I sent back the wrong phone they had sent me. It's Thursday now and I haven't received my dual screen I paid for. I am really upset and need my dual screen and would like my $99. I am unsatisfied with this. I had to call for the 3rd time because the 2nd time I called the rep told me she would put my order in and she never did because I had to call a 3rd time for the phone & deductible I paid for. I even asked the 3rd rep for a credit back and was told that could not happen. I am very unhappy and I am really upset with this situation. I am still waiting for my phone and it's been 10 days. The phone I received was in excellent condition. Did have one scratch on the top left of screen. The one thing I didn’t understand is why I received a refurbished phone instead of a new phone with all accessories. I didn’t receive a new charger or anything. My carrier wants to charge me for any added accessories. I have been paying the insurance for almost four years. I feel as if I should have received a new unopened phone.

I got a refurbished phone!!! That's crap! If I've been paying for insurance every month for almost 2 years on a phone that was one of the cheapest on the market, I should get a brand new phone. That's like being told that your totaled vehicle will be replaced with a new one only to find out it's a used vehicle. Seems nobody can tell me how to transfer all my info from my other phone to the new one. I need assistance! I'm not sending back my old phone until I can successfully transfer ALL data such as text message history and until this happens, I'm not paying for the old phone if you try to charge me. If y'all can't assist me with this issue, then I'm seriously considering switching providers! I am not happy at the level of incompetence with this company!

My phone was damaged when I dropped it in dish water. The Customer Service Team I dealt with were very friendly and helpful. Very nice to get a replacement phone and so far it seems nice. Only drawbacks are that the phone took a lot longer to arrive than I was told. In addition, the replacement phone didn't come with a charger or even a manual. Given how long I've been paying for the never used insurance, that was disappointing. Overall though, the experience was good. Thank you and stay safe.

I reported a device loss and triggered the claim protocols. I had an approval of my claim after going through the rigors of the claim processes with a very honest and supportive representative. After the fulfillment of my part of the terms and conditions covering my policy, a replacement device was mailed to me without a shred of hesitation. In any given opportunity, I will always recommend Assurant to all friends and family. "If it must be insured, it must be Assurant".

The replacement phone that I received is junk so now I have to send it back. The agent I spoke with said I have to mail the phone out before I can receive another one. I use this phone for business and to not have a phone for two or three days will cost me thousands of dollars ....fee thanks.

I thought my experience was great until in reality it was not. The replacement phone arrived quickly only to not work correctly. Sent back immediately and a week later here I sit still without a phone. So much for followup. When I call today to try and find out where it is. It has not been sent. How is that for poor follow-up. Service operators were great on the phone but face the phone is still the problem and y'all already have my cash. Not Fair.

Amid all the stress and uncertainty during current COVID 19 conditions, I lost my phone which added to the anxiety. However I received great customer service from Assurant. When contacting them they gave me accurate info and told me my options. I was grateful for the kindness and help from the rep, I called twice and was satisfied both times. I found filing my insurance claim was easy and very quick. I used the automated phone service. My replacement phone came the next day and I have had no problems with it. My only complaint is that the directions for activating the replacement phone could be more descriptive.

I have a Note 9 through Tmobile. The glass on my screen was cracked. It's time for an upgrade and I was told that I would be able to trade my damaged phone in, pay my deductible, and receive my new device. 30 minutes into trading my phone in and I was told that I would be unable to pay my deductible to jump. I would have to submit a claim, wait for my new device, send my damaged device back, and then trade it in. Makes absolutely no sense to me why I would have to make that many moves just to upgrade. Needless to say, Tmobile lost a sale today due to this mess and I canceled my claim with the insurance company and will more than likely cancel my insurance on all devices. Wasted over an hour of my time. I'm over it.

The person I spoke to on the phone was very difficult to talk to. I had to repeat myself mutiple times. I waited to speak to the operator for awhile too as well as the transfer to pay the deductible. Although the phone arrived very quickly I was expecting the same color as my previous device which I did not receive. I wish Tmobile would have told me I had to pay a deductible as well. Overall, a very I'm not too pleased. Rating could've been lower but the replacement arrived very quickly..

We filed our claim on April 26th, received a phone May 4...It didn’t work. Sent it back per instructions, was told I would be sent a new one and sent new tracking as soon as our package was scanned with Fedex. No tracking info or phone have been received. We took the phone inside the packaging to a Fedex location on May 5th.

I got my phone promptly and was able to switch over without any issues. I shipped the phone back via USPS and retained a tracking number as I’ve heard MANY MANY instances where the phone returns back to the warehouse and is “lost” or not located and customer is then forced to pay. The customer service was horrible. I kept getting different answers on my replacement phone. They made absolutely no effort to assist me in any way. They put the wrong phone information on my claim and then denied it. The only helpful one was a floor supervisor named Emma who actually put her time and effort to get the correct phone information entered into their system and get the claim approved. Everyone else just kept stringing me along, my carrier was just as at fault doing the same.

Original Review: They sent me a broken phone and won’t send me a new one until they get the other. I pay $60 a month in insurance and I’ve never had a claim go smoothly. With shipping it will be 2 weeks before they send the phone. I paid for a working phone. This will be included in my complaint to FCC, Consumer Affairs, BBB and the FTC.

When phone arrived, it had no charger and none of ours fit it. I called your company and was told they would ship one next day mail. After waiting for three days, I called to follow up, as I did not want to be late sending the damaged phone back. I was told they had none in stock and the order was cancelled. I was further told, it's the phones that are replaced and not the charger and no explanation as to why I wasn't called about the cancellation. T-Mobile doesn't even carry chargers or cases for the phone that was sent! I know, because I called T-Mobile customer service! Being a customer service rep for over 45 years, I can tell you, this is not how a customer should be treated. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable.

Service was not what was expected, and not what I requested. I returned the replacement. Hopefully they will fix it and send me what I asked for, if not Assurant needs to send my $99 back to my account. If customer's request cannot be met, there needs to be some form of communicate, either through email or phone call. The company should not just send what they want if a customer's request cannot be met, especially when customers are required to pay a monthly fee and a copay. When a customer is unsatisfied and expresses much more should be done for customer satisfaction. Only thing that was offered was a return.

So the process of getting a replacement was fairly easy and I got next day delivery after paying the 100 deductible. That was nice. The problem is when I got the "replacement" phone I noticed it makes really odd noises when pressed in certain areas and sometimes it doesn't want to respond. It's almost like I traded one phone with issues for a different phone with issues. I wouldn't be so frustrated but I had to pay just to get the replacement so to get another phone that also has issues is frustrating to say the least! Don't get me wrong the staff was very polite and friendly...not really sure what happened. Just disappointed is all.

I had the option of replacing my broken phone through Assurant, or “jumping” to a new phone. My plan was to replace my phone, then upgrade. Why not kill two birds with one stone, right? WRONG. They made it virtually impossible to receive a new phone. 14 hours on the phone and 5 visits in store and a week later, I finally received my device. Very unimpressed with this service.

Original review: I received this phone as a replacement of my new Apple 8 Plus phone that was purchased from Metro by T-Mobile January 28, 2020. The battery loses its charge after about a day and a half. That’s with no service activity. In checking the battery capacity it only has 88% which is a relative to when it was new. I purchased my phone at the same time that my wife’s phone, hers is 100%. This replacement is not acceptable especially when the phone that it replaced was not more than two months or less. Also I had a screen saver that I paid for when I purchased the original phone. The phone that I received from you had no screen saver. I also found out that Apple would have replaced the damaged screen for $160.00. I would like to receive a replacement phone of the same quality that I purchased from Metro by T-Mobile.

I realize that the replacement phone may be different than the damaged one, but this one is not acceptable. I need a phone that uses the standard micro USB cable. The replacement phone does not use a standard micro USB cable. A charging cable was not sent with the phone. I use devices associated with my phone (like wireless headphones); alI use the standard micro USB for charging. Having a special cable for my phone is frustrating. I don't recognize what type of cable the replacement uses. I should have bought a new phone instead of using this service. In the past, my experience with ASSURANT has been good, but this time has been failure.

I paid to get my iPad replaced due to a cracked screen. Then once I got the new iPad and placed in the case. My 5 year old dropped the iPad on the carpet in her room and the screen cracked. This is crazy and honestly I feel it was a waste of my money.

The experience was very poor and subpar. Asked several times for a shipping date and they couldn’t provide. I wish I could deal with any other company a replacement. I pay $18 a month for insurance and then a $250 deductible. Doesn’t make sense. I pay the same cost monthly for a phone that’s worth $1349.99.

The whole replacement was FAST, and a very Pleasant process. Everyone was so helpful and explained everything that was happening or going to happen. Phone was here the next day! We took the phone to the McPherson store on Main Street where Skylar ** transferred all info from old phone into new phone. He was extremely calming and never rushed us even tho it was after closing time before we finished the process. He made the visit a winning situation so much that my HUSBAND replaced his phone with a Samsung 20 with the awesome 100 zoom camera. When my phone needs upgraded we will travel the distance to McPherson to work with Skylar again!!!! The whole phone replacement program ROCKS!! Thank You. While filing my claim, I was told that my claim would be processed within 24 hours and receive my replacement device with the parcel to return the damaged one. I paid my fee of $99.00 and waited 5 days, till I finally was told that my device was out of stock! So I basically had to call US Cellular and tell them about this situation so I had to buy a new phone for $180 extra, just so I could keep my business going. I finally received an email from you guys yesterday saying if I don't have the damaged device sent by 05/13/20 that I will be charged fees, when you guys hadn't even sent me the parcel nor the replacement device to do so!
So I emailed Assurant and let them know of this situation and received the replacement device this morning. One week and 4 days later. Definitely not 24 hours like I was told on the phone. I realize the virus is messing with people's business right now but you guys should have told me right away that my phone was not in stock, not 5 days later.

I called to file a claim, they sent the wrong phone. Called again. Got it sorted out. Waited a week. Never got another phone. Called again and got told now they can't do it, and was going to keep the 49.99 I paid with no phone, talked to a supervisor. Nothing she could do. Definitely not dealing with you guys again. Worst experience.

So was ask to call before they can approve my claim, I did and the lady said they wanted to confirm my address, she went ahead to tell me that I will be receiving a year new phone and because of that my premium will go up, only for me to receive the same year and model I had and my premium was jacked up. These people just want to collect your money for free, they get angry when you file a claim like you are not supposed to. $540 is what I've paid in premium, add that to the $245 deductible they collected. That is a whopping $785 and I was sent a refurbished phone. With that amount, I could get myself 2 refurbished phones online.

This is literally the worst customer service experience I've ever been in. My phone was stolen and my provider has insurance through Assurant which I pay for every month. I called Assurant before putting in a claim and the phone agent told me that I would have a phone within 48 hours and an email with a tracking number within 24 hours which I thought was great. So I filled out the online claim form and paid the deductible and waited for my email. 24 hours later, no email. I got online with Assurant and was told that there were "some delays" and that I should wait one more day. I waited two days and still no email from Assurant and no tracking number. I get online with them again, at which point, I'm told, that the delay is being caused by shipping delays from my provider because they get the replacment phone from the provider and they are out of stock.
I looked up my phone on the provider's site and they have my phone in stock. I tell this helpdedk agent this and they proceed to say "oh, well...I'll transfer you to a manager." I tell my story to the manager and they tell me to contact my provider for a loaner phone. I called the provider and they had no idea why I was told that by a manager at Assurant. They gave me the number to a tech team that would be able to assist me and I spoke to Kim who not only refused to look into my issue, but told me that my claim could take up to 3 weeks to get a phone to me. Kim also told me that I could possibly get a check in the mail instead but that wouldn't happen until my claim took more than 3 weeks to fill and that the check itself would take a couple weeks after that to be sent to me, which means more than a month without a phone.
I explained to this Kim that if I had known all of this, I might have used the money from the deductible to pay off my phone (It's on a monthly payment plan) and then just start paying on a new phone, which would be quicker. Then Kim tried to '**splain" the modern banking system to me at which point, I stopped talking to her because I knew I wasn't going to get any help. I then posted this story on social media, which is when I then was contacted by Assurant and the woman that contacted was able to then get a phone to me within 24 hours but by this time, it had been 6 days with no phone.
So, after being lied to multiple times by Assurant, trust me, If I ever move to a new phone company, my first question will be, "Is Assurant your insurance/replacement company?" and if the answer is yes, I'll probably not use that provider. Once my phones are paid off, I'll be looking for an independent company for insurance on my phones.

I never got my package. The delivery guy left it outside of my apartment building. When I called your company to make you aware everything you said it takes 7 to 14 business days to investigate. I have to order another phone this week in order for my trade to be still in effect.

Worse service EVER!!!! I placed my claim on 04/21 and was told by a supervisor she'd expedite claim and my phone would ship that day and be delivered next day. Wednesday midday my phone hadn't arrived. I called again and was told my phone hadn't shipped but would ship that day. Thursday after not receiving it again, I called and was told it was on back order. Everyone I spoke to had a flippant non concerned attitude. I pay my monthly premium to cover an emergency and when one arose I was not taken care. Previously when I had claims my new phone was delivered next day. This claim was absolutely pathetic. I will be shopping for a new insurance provider for my cell, a carrier who understands a sense of urgency.

I was sent a replacement phone that was reconditioned. Did not work. Could not activate the phone you sent me. I was without a phone for almost a week. Spectrum technician said can’t fix it and they would call me back when they figured things out but never got a call back. Been week with no phone. Assurant sent me a piece of crap. And it cost me $40 and and I pay monthly for insurance. I don’t recommend Spectrum or Assurant.

I got a replacement phone that didn't work. I called and they immediately gave me directions on how to get another replacement. I sent the faulty phone back, and in two days was informed another replacement had been sent. I received it and had it activated.

I received the wrong replacement device and had the worst customer service experience with this company. Pure trash!!! Talked to multiple people, was blind transferred and treated like I sent the wrong phone to myself. I am still phone less waiting for the correct device to be delivered, but you bet they got the deductible money. I had to pay my nephew to get the phone when delivered so it wasn't sitting on my porch just to receive the wrong one. I gave all information asked and clarified and was still sent the wrong device.

I claimed a lost phone which was approved and supposed to be delivered via UPS. The phone was never delivered even though tracking number shows it’s been delivered. I called Assurant to complain and I was told to wait for 14 business days for investigation. 14 business days with no phone is just unacceptable especially during this time of pandemic and I’ve been paying insurance over 2 years and paid $249 deductible. I’m done with this company!!!

The worst experience I have ever had, filing a claim. It took over a week for the claim to be accepted because they keep telling me to send a copy of my phone bill. I do not recieve a paper copy of my phone bill, so the only thing I could do is take a screen shot of what I had on the mobile app. They keep sending me an email stating they need the bill. It would have been more helpful if they would have been more specific! I had to call in and speak to a supervisor, in order for her to tell me, the screen shot was cutting off my name.

I have made insurance claims with your company twice, once in 2019 & this claim! When I made this claim 4-21-2020 I stayed on the phone 2 hrs being transferred back and forth with T Mobile because your company system didn't have the correct billing address!!!! Which should have been changed in 2019 since it takes 48 hrs to update (per your rep) & I received a replacement phone!!! I spoke to supervisors at your company who weren't helpful at all, until I finally spoke to Andrea (tmobile) 3 way!!! Then your rep said order going through and gave me a tracking number. Said be here no later than 4:47. I come home at 1pm waiting. Then check tracking at 5pm and it says delivered at 3:37pm but no phone!!!!
I contact your company and go through the same ** and they say it was sent to another address!!! Then he apologize several times & he is sending another right now overnight!!! Next day...No email with tracking number or anything to check when this phone is coming!!!! I call back!!!! Go through the same ** as the original call!!! I have no ** memory of the old address from years ago and my so-called new address should have already been in your ** system last year!!! So now we go through this again on the ** phone with your company and tmobile for 2 ** hours and resolved nothing!!! Then I spoke to two different supervisors at your company and was hung up on by one, and the other says now I have to wait for a 14 day investigation about a ** phone I've already paid for and still waiting on!!!!

Not one representative of your company has contacted me about the matter after your company dropped the ball not once but twice as I still wait for a product I've already been charged for. Replacement Phone. It all went okay, the phone was black instead of white but that's not that big of a deal. It couldn't be activated right away and that was a bummer, kind of a hassle to reactivate maybe because the old one had been stolen? I had no phone so I couldn't call customer service and I didn't see a chat on the Assurant website, I sent an email but didn't get a response. Xfinity got a hold of Assurant for me and we were able to get the new phone activated. It was sent to me quickly considering it was a Friday when my phone was stolen, I received the new one Tuesday and was actually up and running Thursday. The major bummer was that I lost all my pictures from the past year.

My phone broke on the 5th of April and I reported it on the 9th (I was sick and was under quarantine for possible COVID19, I didn't have it). I used a phone that I had lying around from my past, until I got the replacement. I kept checking my status and nothing except my claim had been accepted, then I contacted customer service and they emailed me that I need to email them a bill. I did that twice and still no phone. So I contacted customer service again and they hadn't received my bill, so I sent it again to the email they provided. Still no movement from them, my claim just sat on accepted. I was getting really mad and emailed them a 3rd time and then downloaded my bill directly to their site, finally they got it. It ended up taking almost a month to get my phone replaced. I ended up receiving it around the 26th or 27th. If I didn't have to use them I wouldn't even think about it at all. It would be a big fat NO WAY!

I was surprised to receive the next day after turning in my claim. The experience was great from your standpoint. The only negative was not your fault at all. All T-Mobile stores were closed and I needed to have it connected with the new sim card. I inserted it in but I had to spend $43 and 4 hours on the ferry to have T-Mobile activate it because they did not answer their phones either. They leave you on hold for literally hours until the caller gets tired and hangs up. Anyway, T-Mobile is terrible when it comes to customer service. They always man their phones with computers and leave the caller hanging. About one time in 20 attempts, you can actually reach them and talk to a person, but even then their system is so faulty that you can not hear what they say because of their own technical problems with communications.

Everything was great till I received the phone. The charger that your company sent doesn't even charge the phone. Your company sent a cheap $3.00 charging cord and $5.00 plug in that is useless. That is not even made for my phone. So because of this I rate the whole process 0 (Zero). What good is getting your phone in 24 hours if you can't charge it. Sorry. I had to give a rating of 1 only because I had to rate something. But 0 is my true rating.

I had assumed the replacement devices were refurbished used phones which was fine with me, but the model I got has become almost unusable.

Insurance Claim on Samsung Phone. I had called a month prior and thought that my claim was being processed. Then, I received an email saying that paperwork was not received and so the case was closed. When I called in again, the process was quick and I was guided through the online tool. The phone arrived promptly. But why was there not follow up to my opened case in the first place?

How does someone spend over $900 to buy a brand new phone then pay $15 per month to cover the cost of a potential damage only to have a used device sent to them. Then you are not allowed to keep the old phone that you paid off for otherwise you will be charged the price of the phone? This is predatory tactics at its finest. My experience with Assurant was horrible, and I wish I had done my research on the policy of these insurance companies. What are people paying insurance for? Only to be sent used device, I've returned so many devices the last device I got from them came with scratches. JUST UNACCEPTABLE!!!!

I received 2 replacement phones. The first was assigned to someone else's account and could not be used by me. I had to return it and wait for a second one causing me to be without a phone for a week. Upon receiving the 2nd phone it was damaged and would turn itself off randomly so I will be returning it Monday. I purchased my new phone 3 months ago and paid for replacement insurance not to be sent refurbished garbage.

When my phone came it came without any of the accessories just the phone. Thank God I had a back up pin to get my Sim card out the other phone. My girlfriend replaced her phone and it came with the accessories, so I was thinking mine should have too. But anyway it came fast and works perfectly fine.

I received a replacement device overnight, which was great. However, when I went to put the SIM card in it got jammed up. I brought it into a T-Mobile retail store and they couldn’t remove it either. I called Assurant back and I was told to put the device in the return envelope that was included with my new device. I immediately put this in my local mailbox.
I called back when I didn’t immediately receive a new device, with Assurant offering little help. Turns out this package has been missing for over a month now, and Assurant will not send me a new phone until it is scanned in at the postal service. I know Assurant does not have control over the postal service, but I wish I was directed to bring it directly into the postal service to ensure that I would be receiving a new phone immediately. This has been a major inconvenience and nobody at either Assurance or the Post office seems to want to help me out. I will be filling a police report against the post office Monday after one more attempt to get answers, and filing a complaint with the BBB against Assurance for their lack of help.

I needed to replace these 2 phones that are costing me $151 or more per month since 2016. I did not ask for a different phone than Samsung. It was totally unprofessional. I'm pregnant & had to wait 3 days for a phone. Not to mention I got blind transferred by a supervisor back to Tmobile & had to go through everything all over again. I will no longer be using the Assurant insurance & I am very displeased. I've been paying for this insurance for a year, and the first time I try to use it was worthless. I will never use assurant again. The phone I received also has glitches... I am not happy at all.

My phone was stolen so we reported it to Tmobile and then filed to get a replacement. Got charged 249. For days no phone, no emails of being sent. I never waited more than 2 days for a replacement. So we emailed to find out what's going on. Finally I got a response that my phone's on back order. I told them that it's not right and I should of been told when we put in the claim. I use my phone for my work and school. All I got was sorry for the inconvenience and then all of a sudden a phone comes with no notice and not the right one requested but I have a phone and don't have time to wait for the right one so very dissatisfied with the service.

I am overall ok with the services, however my mom has been paying her insurance since she had the phone. I do not feel she should have went through all the red tape to get her phone replace. I live in Charlotte and my mom Atlanta. Her insurance is taken out every month regardless and this was her first time doing a claim since she has had the phone. I was not pleased at all!!!

It shouldn't take a week or more to approve a claim that you're paying for. If you ask for the debit card number during the initial claim, it should be approved immediately. Telling the claimant that there is an issue with your claim is not right. There was no issue with my claim and I had to wait.

When speaking with the first agent, I asked her to slow down several times due to her speaking too fast and having a heavy accent. She kept speaking fast and ultimately the incorrect phone was sent to me. I called to correct it and had to wait several days to receive it resulting in being without a phone for a week when I should have received the replacement in a day.

Samsung s8. It would be cool if an option for a protective case could have been included. With COVID-19, I haven't really taken my phone out of the house. Really like the speed with which my claim was processed. Thank you for your help.

The kids lost their phone and I was able to get a replacement without any issue and it arrived super fast. I have always had a great experience when I have to use Assurant. Would definitely recommend.

I received a phone in exchange for my broken phone and the phone I received does not work properly. Every time I get a call it rings once and hangs up. I turned my phone off several times and it continues to do the same thing. I’m very frustrated. Please help me with this situation.
