Worst experience ever! Slow. Lack of urgency. No compassion. Racist. Liars. All that describes my experience and your company. Canceled my policy and returned the device you sent me. I'd rather pay full price for a new device than deal with your fraudulent company again!

I have been working with Assurant for over a week now trying to get my phone unlocked. Every time I call they tell me they're going to open up a file and email someone and it'll take two or three days. I've been told that three times now. We're going on 10 days and my phone is still not unlocked. Someone's not doing something correctly there.

No one at Assurant can tell me when I will receive my device. I was told the device was shipped on Monday, did not not receive it. Called Wednesday, they said it was shipped on Tuesday. So which is it? No one one provide me with shipping info however. Still waiting. Last time this happened I had to write an email to T Mobile's CEO and that is when Assurant decided to help. Still waiting...

I submitted my claim on May 22nd and paid the $30 for express shipping. In the submission it said I would receive my phone on Monday May 25th. I did not receive it until Saturday May 30th. The shipping took way too long. The approval was very fast. Only the shipping I was not pleased with. Could my $30 shipping fee be refunded? Thank you.

I submitted my claim on the 10th of May and after 4 weeks of waiting for my phone and nothing, I called the customer help line. When they finally pulled up my account they said I needed to submit more information. This wouldn’t have been an issue if there was a phone call or an email stating I needed to submit more information but literally no communication from them since my initial claim. It was the worst form of customer service I’ve encountered. And when I emailed and expressed my anger and disbelief it was ignored.

Couldnt verify my card number. inally got claim in. Took deductible. They sent email. Need my contact info. Called back to. Can't verify card #. Worst company ever. Will never pay for insurance again. Still no phone.

Damaged screen. Very easy to file claim, received replacement device next day. Never have had a problem doing a warranty claim through T-mobile and Assurant! I have been a T-mobile customer for 14 and a half years and have always had insurance on all devices!! Definitely recommend!

It was very easy, affordable & fast once the claim was submitted. I got my phone in 2 days and was able to get right back to work. Also returning the damaged phone was a breeze. I just had to put my old phone in a sleeve which was provided and drop it in the mail. That simple.

Took over a week to finally get phone. Had to call several times to find out what was going on. No emails updating the situation. That was way too long and could have at least emailed if going to be a delay instead of us having to call and try to get to the bottom of it.

Assurant's services were quick and efficient; phone received within 48 of claim. Xfinity, however, could not activate, because phone did not show up on account. Spent hours on chat and phone to get this resolved. Total waste of my time for something that should be automated...

I recently made a claim with Assurant to replace my cracked Samsung S8. The online process to complete my claim was quick and overall simple to manage. The turn around was about three days which was great considering we are going through a pandemic. Overall experience was great.

Terrible service. They sent me a phone that is dysfunctional. What a rip off! The phone was worked on by T-mobile and Samsung remote m teams and they couldn't get it to stop. Add pop ups every 15 minutes.

I was told I would get a complete replacement of what I have (I.E. color, memory, brand). Instead I got whatever they decided was good for me not even the same color device, and if it is in your policy to state they you only care about brand, memory then why bother asking what color my device is in the first place if you're not going to replace it for the same item, and second of all if you're out of the same item why not inform me that you're out and ask if I am okay with receiving something different, but no that doesn't matter. All that did was that you got your money and I have no real say in what comes my way. Thank for nothing.

I lost my phone on a Sunday and filed a claim same day. Assurant put the wrong phone details in and kept denying and rejecting our receipt for the phone. My husband bought it directly from Samsung unlocked instead of our carrier T-mobile. That was apparently a problem and they kept saying we weren't insured. Finally we call T-mobile - a week in-to complain and call Assurant with us so we could explain we have the byob insurance. OK, all is well on both sides, we fix the input errors, everything is confirmed, should hear back from claims in 24 hours. Great- email comes and it's denied for the 4th time due to not being insured?!
Two hours on the phone again today (over two weeks now) with both T-mobile and Assurant to find out that since I activated an old sim card on my old note phone the day AFTER I filed my claim they are trying to deny it again! They tell me it's because I'm using the phone number linked to the lost phone and the number is insured not the phone. WHAT. I INSURED the phone, not the number- come on. I can't drop and break a number, I can't lose it outside. I needed a phone because it's my house keys, it's for emergencies, it's so my kids can use Zoom for their school meetings during covid... IT's a scam they try to run to save money and refuse to help you. Finally spoke to a supervisor and we'll see where that goes. SO frustrated and upset with the process and hoops they make you go through hoping that you give up and quit calling. If you have any other choice, don't use this company.

I had to wait for 5 days for you guys to approve my claim only for you guys to send me a different carrier's devices so now I have to go out of my way and send this one back, wait for you to receive it and have you send me another one. In just a few weeks the replacement phone you sent is malfunctioning. Will not turn back on unless plugged into charger and volume down control is not working at all. As long as it's plugged in I can use it.. But unplugged it won't power back on.. I can't afford 50.00 extra to you each month changing phones. I don't think it would be fair to recharge me for another phone. Since this one's only worked for about three weeks.. Would like to resolve this issue asap. Thanks, Delma **.

I like that the sent me a message and picture exactly when my device was delivered so no one had a chance to take it. It took a little longer than they said I think because of what going on but other than. That it was a good job well done.

Item was sent wrong color. Charging sistem does not function as it should only charges 60 percent. No pen included. I paid 99.00 plus every monthly payment of 18.00 for 2 years. I expected a better quality item.

Took a month to even get my claim processed, I had to jump through so many hoops and call different numbers constantly because of an error Samsung made and refused to correct despite me repeatedly bringing up my billing history and other things. It was extremely frustrating.

The website could use a little tweaking but after going to the chat room and waiting to finally connect I was able to process both claims at different dates. It was very frustrating getting disconnected with the representatives on chat having to log back on to a totally different rep and have to tell your story all over again what do you need help with. My regional representative was absolutely amazing and probably was the one that actually fix the issue on the first claim but I had to explain myself over two more times to two different reps because I got cut off or disconnected.

I damaged my phone and thought I had processed a claim, but it apparently did not go through. When I called to complain about not receiving a replacement after a week, the supervisor stepped in and walked me through the whole process very calmly and professionally. I was very pleased with her patience and her thorough process in assuring that everything will be taken care of. My phone was received the very next day! Thank you so very much!

It took an inordinate amount of time for my claim to be processed. My frustration primarily came from being connected to Apple support when I called Assurant directly and again when I tried to submit the insurance claim online. After speaking to a representative from Apple a second time, I was finally connected to Assurant which took another 15 minutes. Once the claim was approved, I received a refurbished phone in 2 business days. I probably would have given a four star rating if the claims process had not included being automatically re-directed to Apple Support.

The rep took her time and diligence on researching our bill because of our two newly-added promotional items (pad and phone). I wanted to pay off the pad and she took a great length of time to appropriately explain all details to me because I am trying to reduce our bill. Wanted me to the be without a phone for 2 to 3 days. Found it to be very unsatisfactory. Not happy with insurance Assurant. The replacement phone they sent me could not hear caller. It took too long to finalize the process. A lot of loss revenue. I had to call 3 times and 2 trips to T Mobile in order to have the whole process done. Operators kept telling everything was final and I had to keep calling for updates and every time was a new thing that was missing.

It was not an overnight shipment as promised and my shipment was sent to the wrong address and when I reported it I was told I had to wait 10 to 14 days. Luckily we have good people the return my shipment.

I've been a mobile customer for over 10 years and would not switch providers for any reason. Customer service is also a plus when it comes to helping customers.. I did everything online. It was simple and easy. I am happy with the quick and fast response time and the time it took to get my phone. Only downside was it took like 5 days to get it. It was really great to work with this company for my replacement phone. The one thing that was stressful, was that they shipped my phone next day delivery on a Saturday, but FedEx did NOT deliver it until the following Tuesday so I was very stressed about it being returned in time.

My mother asked me if I could check her mobile device. It wasn't powering up. We tried different energy outlets but no luck. So I decided I needed to call the Metro PCS insurance company to get a phone replacement. I drove to one of authorized private metro pcs dealers and ask what is the name of the current mobile insurance number that Metro PCS is working with. The first answer I got was, "don't you know that?", followed by, "why don't you just google it." I was surprised because of the way the gentlemen had just rudely said this to me. Him and his co-worker both sort of laughed at me and realized that because a while ago when I purchased my current cell phone at their location, after purchasing it, I noticed that there was an error in the copy of the receipt.
Long story short, they made me think that I was getting a deal when in reality I gave them extra money for something everyone could qualify at any given time. The thing that got me was that I noticed that they saw me walking towards their store and remained doing whatever they were doing and said nothing to me like, "Hi, welcome to Metro PCS, how may we or I help you?". No!!! Instead the Metro PCS representative if it was corporate or not, to me he was wearing the Metro PCS sales representative uniform, so therefore he also said that they don't have access to that information. That I would have to ask or drive to a corporate Metro PCS location. I couldn't believe it.
I stayed calm, didn't react negatively. I drove out there because I had forgotten the name. I didn't know if it was still Asurion or whatever the other name is. But this guy told me that I should just look it up on my phone. He didn't get it. He thought that I was not understanding how to use my smartphone. The reason for all this is that after speaking with someone in regards to what phone to replace, I didn't now my mother's mobile model name. How could that be that Assurant didn't know what model cell phone my mother had? There is lots more and I'm too tired now to repeat the rest of it all.

I received a letter stating they did not receive my returned phone. I called them and they stated the package was received but it was still being "processed" hence the letter. Supposedly they received an empty envelope, but I was not contacted again by them. Instead I got a $500 bill from T Mobile 2 months later saying the device was never returned. Now tmobile and Assurant keep transferring me to the other company so they can deal with and fix it. They told me to file a claim with the shipping carrier, except those have to be filed within 60 days of delivery and it's been past that.

Replacement Samsung Galaxy Note 8. My original phone had moisture inside and would not charge. Claim was filed online and was approved. My new phone arrived a few days later. Everything was done online and I was very satisfied.

The process took me two days to get in a claim. I had to have my phone carrier on the line with the insurance customer service person to get it taken care of. Then it took me filling out the form three different ways for get it submitted and approved. I was told it would be overnighted and it took eight days for me to get the phone which is how I do my business so apparently my money is not the same as your money. Horrible service. Very unsatisfied.

Dissatisfied with replacement device. Phone arrived without charger and completely dead battery. Had to wait to buy charger to set up device. Also glass in front of camera lense is busted and did not notice for a couple days.

I have been paying for this insurance on 4 phones for years & the one time I file a claim for my son’s iPhone 8 Plus that was stolen @ school I have such a bad experience. I was shocked when I received the package & it was refurbished. I called customer service & they told me they have no control as to what goes out of their warehouse as to whether it is a new phone or a refurbished phone. All they told me was to call my provider. If I would have known I would receive a refurbished phone after paying all that money monthly & having to pay a $249 deductible I would have just bought a new phone. I am very disappointed with the way they handled my claim & will discontinue their service immediately.

It took almost 2 hrs on the phone to get my complaint process. I was told that I would have a replacement in 24 hrs and it took 5 days before I received my replacement. The only silver lining is that my replacement is working so far. Only time will tell if it is satisfactorily.

My 15 year old had issues with her phone. I fixed it then a month later she dropped it. Cracked the screen. Called the claims department and they were able to get one out so she could resume with her homework. She was definitely happy.

I received a devices to replace my phone in a timely manner. The issue I have is the phone I received has issues of its own. The charging port is loose and there is a pixel in the screen that is discolored. The agents I spoke with during the process were very helpful except one who made it seem like I was a bother to him.

The entire experience was horrible, I filed my claim 8 days before it could be processed! I pay for two Note 9 devices and I have filed two claims for the main device on my account, as soon as I placed an order for my second account I had to send over documents for a service that I have been paying for almost 2 years, also had a hard time with that as well. When I finally got the claim processed then it took another 4 days to actually get my device. My fiance is the manager of Verizon and as soon as these devices are paid off we are switching.

While I did order a replacement phone under the insurance I pay monthly for on Friday at 11am, the phone was not set to ship until Saturday afternoon when headquarters was closed. When you opened Monday FedEx and UPS was shut down for the holiday, but it could have been express shipped via USPS who was open. It then did not enter FedEx tracking system until Wednesday, reporting that it would be here Thursday, then Friday, now Monday. When I ordered the phone I was told this was an overnight service by my provider, which is what I view now a snail mail service.
My wife has ordered something on Wish and had it arrived two days ago, and there is no rush on those orders, so explain to me how a monthly payment and 99 dollar deposit on a refurbished phone has been given so little care or attention. I have broken my phone three times now in the past 7 years paying for this service, and had to send a broken refurbished phone back because the microphone wasn't working. First of all, yes I am so pissed off! Second, I'm not just going to lie so this can be ''helpful'' to customers. Yesterday, May 30, 2020 my phone was stolen from my purse at the store while I was in line waiting to pay my groceries. Purse was on my shoulder and had it taken out and almost shoved to the ground by this inconsiderate person. I filed a claim to this insurance company hoping they would be helpful to replace my iPhone.
Well, how wrong I was. My claim did not get approved supposedly because it did not have insurance which is funny because it has not even been a year yet since I've bought the phone and they claimed that it didn't have it. So, I called them and told them about it. Turns out, my old Samsung was still active? Which is why I say they're liars. They treat me like I'm a liar as well.. I recently bought an Iphone 11Pro Max and had the sim card removed and put on that phone. The samsung was sold. So, how is it that it's still active? BS they just don't want to help. So, now I had to waste my money again bought another iphone with a full price and these loser stole my money.. 200 gone down the drain just like that and they don't even want to return my money!! People, don't fall for this BS company.

Made a claim to replace my husband's phone that fell out of his pocket and cracked from front to back. His phone was still charging at lightning speed. However, this replacement phone that was sent out does not charge and if so it will only charge 15% or a little more and that's all. Every night we will put it on the charger at maybe 15%, wake the next morning it will be 55 or 69% only. And this is from 10pm-5am. And it's also hard to hear on, when using headset.

Two stars is for the Fedex driver who got the phone to me fast. And the person who put it in a box quick. No stars for the process since I submitted my application and it's confusing to figure out the status and kept going and looking and wasn't clear what to do and called in and transferred my call to T-Mobile and transferred to Apple Care then back to Assurant who said to me again it's T-Mobile's problem, they should've contacted me instead of me finding out after calling in that my application is accepted but not going anywhere from there instead of letting me wait there. Very confusing unclear process. Sorry bullshit overall process.

My phone was broken and I reported it and I was told I had to return my phone and pay the deductible before they would send me another one. I spoke with a supervisor and they would not bend. I told him I am 84 and did not feel comfortable not having a phone. He did not bend. I went to T-Mobile and he called about 5 people before he got someone that would send me a phone. I held on the phone for more than an hour before we got that settled. T-Mobile has great customer service, however Assurant does not.

I had the worst experience of my life dealing with your company. I would give this survey negative ratings if I could. The information you had about my account was inaccurate and it caused so much problems, including preventing the processing of my claim. I called 4 times to explain and even included T-Mobile on the last call to help clear the inaccurate information. A total of almost 6hrs. But your reps were not helpful. This process caused me a lot of distress and I deserve compensation for it. Tmobile had to escalate the issue and fix it. I will never deal with you Assurant again.

I bought my daughter and I new phones on 5/18/20. On 5/20 less than 48 hours later my daughter's phone screen broke for no apparent reason. Lines were running all over the screen and you couldn't shut the phone off or do anything with it. I think it's completely ridiculous that I even had to pay a deductible for a new phone after TWO DAYS! That's crazy! Also I had to pay full price for my phone. I guess you're never eligible for an upgrade through Metro. You just always have to pay full price. I spent $450 total for two crappy phones. Mine is already almost out of storage space! Hasn't even been two weeks!!

My phone was physically damaged when it dropped out of my pocket while driving and fell on the street. After looking for my phone I found it on the street in pieces. A garbage truck, and cars ran over it. All pieces were gone except the silver paper and the protective case. I could not believe the case did not crack! My mother handled the claim as I had a health issue and was hospitalized and could not file a claim myself. Everyone at Assurant went out of their way to help her in my behalf.

I filed a claim on my phone over a week ago expecting a quick replacement since the shipping is Next Day Air. As of today I still don't have a replacement phone. I've been without my phone the entire time. All Customer Service keeps telling me is that the phone is on back order and they have no idea when they will get more in stock. I'm now paying a phone bill on a phone that I can't use and for insurance that apparently doesn't work. I have the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus. I use my cell phone to work from home during this COVID-19 situation and this has been a horrible experience.

No visible crack on my screen, go to store to pick up replacement - No, if you look along the side the line is not straight - it is damaged RUDE associate. Had to call and file again, went to pick up, no you need to have one mailed to you. After filing claim on Sunday, 5/17/20, I finally received a device after I drove 3 times to store, it was mailed to my home on May 22nd. T-Mobile associates seem to not care for Assurant customers, and do not make priority or treat with respect.

I was able to buy an protective covering to prevent any damage to my new phone and also I now have a super protective case to keep my phone safe as well. Sent me a broken or defective phone that was supposed to be new or in like new condition. When I called to inquire about a solution I was transferred to Apple Care and hung up on by the Assurant rep. When I called AGAIN to see if a solution could be offered I was told the only option is to send back both defective phones and wait for them to send me yet another phone in the mail to replace the defective one I received, leaving me with no phone to use for work or social purposes. Not very professional and sorry to say after many years of being a customer I’ll be canceling my policy and filing a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau.

I did claim online for a smooth and easy transaction however claim did not go thru due to a system error. I called on sat a rep assured me claim will finally go thru and I will get replacement by Tuesday. Nothing came in the mail and on wed I called I finally received the phone until Thursday. One week after I submitted claim. Phone came in not working and I had to send back replacement first in order to get a warranty exchange. Now it’s 2 weeks and still I do not have a working phone.

Very bad experience. I received the phone. Put in a Sim card. Couldn’t be activated. Took it to a MetroPCS store. Couldn’t get it activated. Had to go through customer service through me metro and then I had to call insurance and find out that the phone had not been updated status so I had to send it back and I’m still waiting on another phone. Very bad.

A few years ago when my phone got stolen a week after I bought it, I tried to file a claim but the interface on the site was so confusing that I gave up. This time, I was relieved to find that the interface was totally different and very easy to understand. The form only took a few minutes, approval was quick and I received my new device within 2 business days. Remarkable.

The process took over a week because the 3rd party company is back dealing the phone. I could not get a replacement phone until I filled out a lost/loss of property. (Which my phone was not list) knowing kinda (what happens to the broken phone). I can see that little piece of paper coming in really handy when taxes roll around at the end of the year. Piss poor choice T-Mobile. Find someone with class.

The service of getting a new phone and clear return instructions were efficient. The problem was my replacement phone came with a defective s pen. The click mechanism on the end fails often and gets stuck inside my phone. I never had that issue with my previous phone.

It would be better for me to save my $249 plus those 5 years @ $15 and $18 which would give me a total of $1167 and buy a brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 10 rather than to give that money for a third hand phone. This is the very last hard earning money any company like is going to rob from me.

Was told if I did my claim thru Apple Care it would be cheaper and instead it was the same amount but they would be doing a $600 dollar hold on my account during a pandemic which was something I couldn’t afford and I ended up being on the phone for more than over an hour when it wasn’t necessary if I would of been helped properly by a well informed CSR.

We received the phone overnight but the phone we received doesn’t work like it should. It drops calls, the ear piece speaker isn't loud at all and the phone itself isn’t loud. After paying almost $200 we got a phone that isn’t worth half that.

Spent $100 getting a new phone (Galaxy S7) after the screen cracked on the previous one, and this one has noticeable lag issues, and noticeable issues with battery life. I genuinely can't believe that after paying my premiums each month and still spending a hundred goddamn dollars that the replacement I was sent was so much noticeably worse. I absolutely ** hate Assurant, I've never had a good experience with them in the years that they've been insuring my phones. T-mobile should stop using assurant as their carrier, I don't think I even know of anyone who's ever had a good experience with assurant. My only solace in life now that COVID is going on is that hopefully assurant will just become insolvent and fail.

Cellular Device Replacement. My daughter is a Type 1 Diabetic. Her iPhone is more than a cell phone - it's a critical element in the display of her blood glucose levels via the Dexcom app. I say this to stress the importance of having it. Claim was made on 5/19/2020, on 5/20/2020 I received a tracking notice that it was being returned to sender. I submitted an email that day asking why and for help. I heard nothing back. I was going to call on 5/21/2020 however the tracker for UPS should out for delivery. That evening when the phone was not delivered I looked at tracker again and it was delivered back to Assurant. I called Friday 5/22/2020 at 7:30 AM CST and asked why this had happened and was told that apparently my unit # dropped off and was not put on the shipping label so the package was undeliverable and sent back.
I emailed your company on 5/20/2020 and received no response as to why! When I asked if I would be able to have my phone by the next day I was told no as it was a Saturday and I would have to wait until next business day which would be Tuesday due to Memorial weekend. I asked if this could be changed as I run a business from that line and was already out sales and now with Memorial day weekend which is my biggest sales weekend I would be out a lot of revenue.
I asked to speak with a manager and she put me on hold for over 25 minutes. Only to be told by the manager that the warehouse that fulfills the phones was not open yet and she would see what she could do when they open. Why then when the warehouse opened could my phone not of been set up for next day? I lost so much revenue last weekend and with COVID 19 this does not help. I have NEVER had my unit # drop off and always received my replacement phones next day. This was just so confusing to me and took away over a week of revenue. Completely dissatisfied and the manager I spoke with was likely just telling me what I wanted to hear.

iPhone replacement. The replacement went smoothly and the representative was pleasant and helpful. To our surprise the new phone showed up the next day! However, the instructions for operationalizing the phone were frustrating and useless. In order to make it work properly, we had to go the the T-Mobile store and spend an hour while it was set up. In our case, being in a high-vulnerability group for the Coronavirus, we had been largely self-isolating and were not happy to have to spend that much time at the store.

My experience with Assurant was bitter sweet!!, I called several times, first dealing with their A.I. receptionist who was difficult to understand, and entered incorrect data on my claim!, then in the process of trying to switch me over to a Live Representative, the call kept dropping!!!, and as I reached a Live Representative the call dropped with her also!!, I Reached out to T-mobile and had one of their Representative stay on the line with me, and eventually we got my issue resolved!, Once the matter was Corrected it was a very simple process to apply for and receive a New Phone for my Broken one!!, One of the best thing hat I have ever done was to get Insurance Coverage on my Cellphone, I would highly Recommend Assurant service to anyone who need Insurance on their Cellphones, and Devices.

I lost my phone in the river 5/16 and made a claim 5/18. I just got my replacement phone on 5/26 after lots of emails and waiting just to find out the refurbished phone they sent me has a busted speaker. People can barely hear me when I am making or answering calls. So much so when I called T-Mobile to talk about the issue they hung up on me 'cause no one could hear me. When you record a video the sound is awful, you sound so far away and muffled even if you're right up on the phone. I can have the volume all the way up and it sounds like it is on the lowest setting. I paid $250 for my deductible and they sent me a broken phone. I would never recommend this company. I really would like to which phone and insurance companies altogether because of this.

Needed phone for business purposes 5 days after reported loss. They took 4 days to decide whether they were going to replace even though I've been paying for the insurance the entire time. Had to leave town on business without all the important info I needed and using a backup crap phone. All representatives very unhelpful and truly seemed uncaring.

Took 9 days to process claim, once I finally got someone who cared was able to get claim processed. Had to call in 7 times, before that happened. Was extremely difficult to get them to be able answer questions. The response I kept getting was that I needed to wait 72 hours for everything to process.

Samsung Note 8. I was told 1 day shipping if I paid that Tuesday. Arrival day was supposed to be (Thursday Friday the latest). I got it a week later with no charger. I was lied to so that they could collect payment.

Replacement phone was never delivered. I called Assurant to ask why and was told delivery person decided I did not live at my address. I left a message with Assurant agent who promised to relay the message to leave the phone in the metal box on the front steps where my mail is delivered. That was over a week ago. Still no phone. I do not plan to use your phone insurance again. I would like my $49 back in addition to all the money I paid in insurance.

I asked for the same phone I purchased and received the same phone but a different color. The lilac phone that was sent is not what I have. I have a black phone and this is a phone I carry with me for my business. Having a pink looking colored phone is not how I want to be represented. Thanks but no thanks. Never again. Worst experience I've ever had with a company. In the year 2020 your rep tells me she has no way of checking inventory for a BLACK phone. Didn't even offer to try and resolve my issue. They were very timely! Filling the claim was straightforward. The phone came within 48 hours. The packaging was nice and contained the necessary equipment. The instructions on how to transfer from one phone to the could have been clearer. They send you a sim card with the new phone. If you don't need it, use your old one. As for transferring my data, I have a OnePlus so I used a the OnePlus switch app to transfer the data. If you still need help after the that, take it to a store and for directions on how to set it up.

My phone was like, FROZEN. I could not get it to scroll, could not sign. I could, If I took several minutes, manage to make a phone call but calls were getting dropped. I made a call to the Samsung number and was transferred no less than 5 times, winding up at the "Warranty Dept" where I was asked for my CC # and if not that, then my SSN. NO WAY was I giving that out so I hung up. Was also told that the $14-15 that I was paying each month was for TECH Support only. I pulled my acct and found another phone # and I called it. They were indeed the most pleasant and accommodating reps and was told I had another month on my warranty and would send me out a replacement phone ASAP, which they did. I was up and running within 72 hrs. Kudos to this dept but not so with the other. Thank you and thank you again.

I was speaking with a rep who basically told me it was nothing he could do about the long processing time on a business account and phone. (Told me 3-5 business days). When I said, "Ok, may I speak with a supervisor" (in a very nice way), he put me on hold for 2 minutes and then disconnected the line. About 2 hours later, I see the money come out of my account for the phone and I receive this survey the next morning, leading me to believe that someone dropped the ball and instead of apologizing and letting me know things would be handled, they ran from me and left me wondering. I really hope the quality assurance team gets this message and finds better ways of dealing with business accounts. We should be marked we pay a lot of insurance on multiple phones and there needs to be something in place.

I filed a claim on 5/11/2020 and was told I would have information on a replacement device in 24 hours. Called a week later and had to redo the claim. Now 5/27/2020, I still don't have a phone replacement but they took the deductible no problem. The tracking number for the replacement phone says in transit. But it has said that for 3 days so I'm hoping it shows up soon.

To be honest I don't even know if this explanation of how terrible my experience was is even worth writing about. NOTHING got done the first 3 times I expressed my disgust, why would it now? But here it goes anyways. I was "accidentally " charged twice for my 100$ deductible when I did my claim on Saturday May 16th. Unfortunately I live paycheck to paycheck. When I went to the grocery store the following day (Sunday May 17th) after my claim, my debit card was denied because of insufficient funds. Funds that Assurant illegally took from my bank account. I was charged twice. So there I sit, embarrassed and upset at the grocery store with no groceries for My daughter and I for the week because my money was stolen from me.
When I called that Sunday there was absolutely nothing anyone could do to help. The floor supervisor I talked to assured me that she fast tracked my claim and I should see the money by morning on Monday the 18th so I could get my groceries. I then get a email Monday stating I would have to wait 3-10 business days to get my stolen money back. So I called again on Monday the 18th and told them how unacceptable it would be to wait 3-10 days. I talked to another floor supervisor that again assured me it would be in my bank account by the end of the day and that she would even follow up and call me later in the afternoon to make sure of it.
The following afternoon I still had nothing. Lied to...again. So I call back, again. Speak to another floor supervisor that claims, this time claiming the money was released, my bank must of been holding it and tells me to call them. So I call my bank. NOTHING. Again. So lied to again. And don't forget, all these days with NO Groceries! So I call assurant back again, tell them I don't want to speak with any more floor supervisors, I want to speak to someone with more authority and hopefully more integrity. I got transferred over to a voicemail which stated I would be contacted in 1 to 2 business days. I was never contacted and the money came days later when it was already too late.
I spent hours of my time being yanked around by your staff and lied to. I was stolen from and my daughter had to suffer for it. If your company wanted to save a shred of dignity they would refund me my other 100$ for all my time effort and suffering. That's is a small thing to ask for after what we've been through. I reported my son's lost phone. It was locked and a replacement was sent that does not work. My son found his phone in his girlfriend's car. He wants his original phone unlocked and to send the replacement phone back. I was told that Assurant cant unlock my son's phone. I am a Radiologist working extra hours in this pandemic. Received wrong replacement phone. Had to wait 48 hours for return shipping label. Wait another 3 days for FedEx to ship due to weekend. Had to call every 3 days to check confirmation of returned phone. 5 minutes wait each time for stupid computer answering to reach a human. Had to fill them in each time on situation rather than them looking in notes. Computer glitch on your system won't allow to send a replacement, sorry but wait 3 days for IT to fix.
Called 3 days later, glitch not fixed, must wait another 3 days for IT to fix glitch or asked to fill out another claim and pay additional money to be refunded at a later date? Are you kidding me? Date of incident May 3rd. Been waiting 3 weeks now since initial claim still no replacement phone. What a joke? Why pay for monthly insurance on phone when I still have to pay a deductible on phone for replacement? This is the first time in 20 years I've ever broken a phone screen and this is the ** I have to deal with? Once again.... what a joke... Highly, highly dissatisfied! The phone replacement request was submitted on a Saturday and the phone arrived on a Tuesday. Very nice and helpful people BUT, insurance is primarily for accidents. I dropped my phone and then was told there was a $99 deductible?! I pay a monthly fee for insurance so when there is a rare accident, I expect it to be 100% covered. THEN they sent me a different model phone which required me to buy a new case.

I cracked the screen of my Samsung Note 10 plus and was able to submit my claim online right away. They were very quick and I had a brand new phone in a couple of days with a prepaid envelope to send the old phone back. The process was easy and saved me a fortune as the cost of my phone was $1300.

I returned the damaged phone in the envelope provided by Assurant as instructed, and I monitored the tracking information on the US Postal Service website. The damaged phone was delivered well within the time frame that Assurant required, and tracking data confirmed the exact date, time and location that the phone was delivered. Assurant sent threatening emails a week after the phone was delivered to them, telling me that I would owe them $2000.00 for not returning the phone. I would not recommend using Assurant for device protection. I also has Assurant renters insurance which I have now canceled as well. Assurant's questionable business practices has cost them a customer.

I don't like that you send out refurbished phones that. This is the second phone they send me in less than 2 weeks, and this one also has glitches. It freezes on me and jumps from the end of my text messages to the very beginning (while typing). About 3 weeks after getting the device (~16 of May), the unit became stuck on a restart loop. The few times I could access the phone, I troubleshooted, updated the apps/OS, and removed the SIM card. None of these methods worked and I now think I may have been given a defective unit after filing my claim.

The experience was overall a positive one. It had a rocky start with the website. I was ordering a replacement phone for a minor (whose phone number was under my account). The website would not let me put her actual phone number in for the replacement. It was frustrating because it was the phone that needed to be replaced. Eventually I just had to work around and get everything done. After I got past that and turned in everything I was able to pay the deductible. The phone came very quickly. The instructions in the box for replacing the phone did not help much though. I ended up having to call customer service to correct some issues with moving the information from the old phone to the new one. Overall, everything worked out.

Very fast response, and easy to receive and return the device, plus customer care is very effective, my phone had broke and the replacement got to me within 2 days, so it's a very effective way to get a new one.

I received a double charge on my credit card for the $99.99 deductible for my replacement phone. Both charges cleared and attached is my bill statement. I need a refund for one of those charges. I have called customer care and still have not received any information back.

I was on the phone for over 2 hours. With an incredible amounts of long holds. Just for some mistake that was made on my claim and they couldn't even fix it other than returning a perfectly fine device waiting for a refund and sending me another one leaving my kids without phones. Asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold until it disconnected. The Reps cause one sent me back to TMobile without even getting me to the right department. The other acted like I was speaking a foreign language.
