    Very pleased with Assurant Insurance. It is well worth the extra to have my phone covered. It's the first time I've ever had to use Insurance. The first time I've ever broken a phone. I had just got in a car accident and was having trouble getting around and my friend gave me a ride. When I got out of the truck I dropped the phone and I was very thankful for the insurance. I'm not usually so clumsy and you're very fast efficient. I wasn't sure how to go about paying for deductible or where I put the money. Kiosk employees don't really understand the process. They said they've never come across a situation where deductible needed to be paid but I just called the 800 number and everything was taken care of right then and there. Thank you sincerely.     I feel like I really should not have had to pay a deductible because the phone I had was already a Refurbished phone Assurant had replace only 8 months ago in which at that time I had to pay a $50.00 deductible. When I called they kept telling me they could not do anything for me because my phone was less than a year old and that I needed to contact Metro PCS for a replacement, I explained they will not cover it because it was a refurbished phone that was a warranty replacement 8 months ago and my original purchase from Metro PCS was in 2017 and if I showed them my receipt they would never replace my phone under factory warranty.

    Finally a few calls later to Assurant the last lady was very helpful and understood my concern but told me she would have to change the date of when I received my phone that I was trying to make a claim on so it would show as being warranty thru assurant and still charge me $50.00 deductible because she claimed the refurbished phones from Assurant are only warrantied for 6 months so of course I paid it because I needed a phone.

    I sent my bill and documents request more than once with always getting a kickback from the upload a document system saying they kept needing more info. I finally emailed it a 4th time and said it should work and to call me (providing my number) if there was an issue. It was finally accept once i pushed a little harder and told the email what to do. Then once accepted my replacement phone still wasn't sent. I only got an email saying it was approved and would be sent within 24 hrs but it wasn't. I had to email yet again to finally inquire about the tracking information for my new device. Then i finally got a reply saying that its being sent.

    I broke my phone screen. It was having trouble charging as well. My husband (account holder) called Assurant to place a claim and get a replacement. It took less than 5min.     I received my replacement phone a week after I filed my claim, I had black phone previously of my claim that was 5G. After I got my replacement phone it was purple, I called to tell Assurant solutions I was told, "You get whatever we have." So I hook this purple phone up and now it is 3G, I have no service where I always had it previous, this company is a joke, I will be switching my services to company that has real customer care and actually stands behind their word.

    Instead of replacing my blue phone with one like it they fit me a pink phone! I am a correctional officer in a prison. This is not cool. When I contacted Assurant they said you get what you get and they weren't going to do anything about it and they didn't! So now I get to take my pink phone to work. Bought a cover for it so hopefully no one will notice. Still trying to live down the day that I draw my wife's Prius to work! Real men do not have pink cell phones! And I don't think they realized that I was being serious because they did nothing to change my situation. Apparently they just feel like they were not breaking the contract when they replace my phone with pink one. Not happy.

    I put my claim in and a week later I was contacted by a representative. There was a problem with my address so I talked with the representative and thought it was taken care of. A month later I checked on the claim and it still showed processing. After contacting Assurant, in an email I was informed that there was an issue with my address and I needed to call. I explained that this was handled a month ago. A week later I finally received my replacement phone. It took too long to go through the claim process. I canceled my Assurant insurance.

    Let me start with the very expensive insurance for the coverage they give you compare to AT&T, Sprint or Verizon. This companies insurance are way lower and they send you a brand new device in with all the gadgets that comes with it as if you bought it for the first time. So explain to me I'm paying 18 dollars on insurance and 99 dollars deductible multiply 18 dollars times 12 then add the deductible ok so no I'm not happy with the service. As of the shipping they have my complete address and my mailbox is very big and has a lock they could have put it there or knock on my door instead of that the delivery guy left my device at the first floor on the stairs is a 1000 dollar phone and is supposed to make sure the owner receives the package on hand. Very irresponsible.

    I am extremely disappointed with the device I was sent. This is a $1500 piece of equipment, a 5G ultimate generation lightning fast phone, supposedly. The performance on this device is so poor that I feel like crying. I get 2 to 10Mbs download speed which is more like 3G. What is this? I already called T-Mobile support and they said there were having issues with some towers but 5 days later it is still the same and I have ran speed tests from different locations.     UNACCEPTABLE! You sent me a damaged phone for a damaged phone! I HAVE NEVER had a good experience when it comes to receiving a refurbished phone! The phone you sent me and charged me $99 for does NOT charge properly! It has a yellow sign at the bottom and no matter what charger I connect it will intermittently say, connect original charger and take over 7 hours to charge AND the phone is overheating and the battery doesn't last as long as a new phone! I called the night of June 9th and explained the phone not working and they were suppose to send me another phone. I called the morning of June 10 and expressed my concern of not receiving an email showing it was processed with a delivery date. I talked to a representative and went up 2 levels/tiers of care to 2 different supervisors to express that I have a medical disability and my phone is literally a matter of life or death for me!

    I explained I would be going out of town late afternoon on the 11th and I NEEDED a reliable phone before I left and was ASSURED I would have it on the 11th! I was told since I called in the evening of June 9th I would be first priority on June 10th and receive it the next day. Now what do I do since I have NO email stating it was processed and that I would get it today, June 11th? I also explained the phone would be sitting out on the porch and in any weather that we have for days since I won't be home until late Sunday. Not to mention if I have a medical emergency and I have no good working phone, I will be holding Assurant and T-Mobile accountable for whatever may happen! THEN ON TOP OF THAT, TMOBILE charged me a fee for the warranty claim on the warranty claim which I just had for a week! UNACCEPTABLE! I have guaranteed next day shipping! I don't want to hear any excuses!

    I originally did a warranty claim at 4:00pm. And received an email stating it was processed with 3 hours, by 7:57pm and I Received it the VERY NEXT afternoon! Why didn't this happen with the defective device you sent me? I had a feeling I wouldn't have it next day when I received a text saying it would be delivered in the next 2 days and that's why I spent time on the phone to go up 2 levels of supervisors when I didn't have a email saying it was processed still the next day! The people I spoke with apparently took it upon themselves to determine my medical condition didn't warrant next day delivery, even though I have next day delivery anyways! Totally failed me!!

    My original phone was a Note 9 color blue. When I received my replacement I noticed that it is a Note 9 but the color is purple/lavender a bit pink looking. When I called to inform Assurant they explained that they probably sent that color because they had no blue. When I asked if they could contact the warehouse to check their inventory they said they had no way of doing so, they had no number to the warehouse. When I asked to speak to a supervisor they said that they weren't able to contact a supervisor. They gave me the option to return the phone and receive a refund on my deductible.

    That would mean that I would have to pay for a brand new phone out of pocket, so why am I paying for insurance. They said that if I wanted a color blue phone I may be waiting up to 6 months. I know it's just a color but there is a reason why they have a choice of colors... I really don't want a lavender color phone. I feel they should replace phone with the same color the original was and if you don't have a refurbished one then send claimant a new one, that is why we pay insurance. I'm incredibly disappointed with Assurant and the handling of this claim. I'm just one person so I'm sure nothing will come of this.

    This is the worst experience I’ve had with a phone replacement. I’ve been with Sprint. For over 8 years and have always had my phone 1 to 2 days. However, it’s ridiculous that it took sinking because T-Mobile didn’t send the information to this company when I bought the phone. So they took 3 to 5 days verifying and approving the claim. Then when it should have been overnighted, it took another 2 to 3 days in top Of the 5 but more like 6 business days.     Filed a claim for my iPhone 11, claim was processed and funds for deductible were removed from my account. Shortly after I received my tracking number. After not receiving my device the next day even though the tracking information showed delivered I called in and was told that my claim shouldn’t have been approved due to “conflicting information”. When asking what the conflicting information was I was told it’s against their policy to give out that info and that my funds would be reimbursed once I return the device (yes the one I didn’t receive).     This claim was completed on May 26. It was not approved until May 31st after I made several calls. I did not receive the phone until June 2nd. The fact that you can get disconnected and a service rep will not call you back from their house phone is ridiculous especially when you're working and getting paid. I made at least 5 phone calls and every time they would have a different excuse as to why it was not approved as of yet.     I broke the screen of my tablet on May 31. I call TMobile for a replacement. I had to pay $250 to get it replaced. The tablet arrived on Tuesday night. When I open the tablet it was used, scratched in the back. I returned it next day and contact Assurant again on Thursday. They said they would send another tablet next day. Supposedly to arrive on Friday. It arrived on Monday night only. Over the weekend I decided to go to the mall to see if I could find someone to replace the screen only.     I lost my phone on May 31st. After a good while and getting run around I was able to file a claim online, I explained I lost my phone, I did not have my phone to use the SIM card, phone was sent without a SIM card, after several hours we discovered that the problem was that there was no SIM card and there was nothing Assurant could do about it. I had to contact my carrier, after several hours on the phone with my carrier they told me they would send one out. That was on Tuesday. On Friday I called back and I was told that they did not have an order for it and that I could not expect it until the earliest on the following Tuesday. Oh, I still do not have a SIM card and I have changed carriers, bought a new phone and I have a $700 paperweight. All in all between Assurant and Xfinity just has been the worst customer service experience I have had in my 65 years. Oh, thank you for nothing.

    I had lost my phone in a mud puddle and for the first time I started a claim. I have been paying for advanced insurance and the cost of a lost phone is $175 and the cost of a broken phone is $99. When I made the claim she told me if I found it to let them know. I had to wait a few days to be able to drain the mud hole and retrieve the phone and I let them know and they said I had to return it because it was now the property of Assurant.

    When I spoke to Uscelluar they said I needed to call and let them know that I should be refunded the difference of the claim since I was now returning it to assurant and it was no longer lost. The person I spoke with at assurant was very rude and talked over me saying the same thing over and over explaining that was not how it worked and I would receive no refund. So now assurant got the $175 plus my phone. It makes no sense and is very wrong. I called uscelluar and they agreed it was wrong and said they no longer sell assurant insurance which did make me happy because assurant is wrong in how they operate. I will make sure I leave bad reviews and let as many people as I know what happened, including cell phone companies in which I am compiling a list of to call or email to let them know how assurant treats their customers.

Called next day 5/29/20 and Dominique answered again and couldn't help so asked for a Supervisor and got Leyla and she finally got things rolling and received a replacement phone 6/1/20.The main problem is there is NO COMMUNICATION between processing Dept. and Agents. Worst experience I have had to deal with any customer service program. US Cellular will receive this as well to know how you deal with customers. Been a customer for 23 years and again your company needs to learn "COMMUNICATION!"

    I recently requested a replacement cell phone as part of my insurance claim. I submitted on a Friday and did not get the phone until the following Thursday. No charger was included in my package. Since the insurance has my data and expects me to send my Note 5 back or be penalized, I expect the company should know when replacing a device that is newer requires a chargers that are comparable so that I may use it. I called in twice to request a charger. The first man I spoke to did not escalate my request to speak to a manager when he could not enter my account. For some reason my last four of my SSN did not permit me to enter the account, even though I already had my replacement phone and obviously was able to confirm my ssn days earlier.

    The man interrupted me, told me he could not help me and without telling me, transfers me to T-Mobile when I asked him to escalate my call to a manager. I verified and I updated my info with T-Mobile. I called back, and a women still could not gain access to my account. She argued with me that I had not provided my last four, and any changes T-Mobile made takes up to two days update in her system. Again, I asked to escalate to a manager. She put me on hold and when she returned she had access to my claim. I told her my phone came with no charger and I did not own a compatible one. She was condescending and told me they stopped sending chargers two years ago, and she could not help me.

    I asked for a manager again. She replied, again with indignation that all she could do was try and ask if she could send one, but there was nothing she could really do to help me. Her tone was argumentative, condescending, she told me to read the insurance policy before handing up on me. ** is my phone number associated with the claim. Please pull up the records of the interaction. I Have paid a lot of money over the many years I’ve been a client of t-mobile. Asking for respectful, professional, and expedited service is not unreasonable. I’m very disappointed in the service.

    When we tried to order a replacement phone, we ran into several issues. I was not the primary account holder, so they sent an email to my husband for more Info. They then told him to upload a phone bill. This process was difficult and techs at Assurant were unclear about this process. Two days later we still hadn’t heard, so I called back and they said they never received the needed info.

    No one called to let us know this, so we were sitting two additional days without a phone. We sat in the phone all day with several team members, and none of us could assure us that they’d receive the documentation immediately, so we had to wait another 24 hours to even know if it was received. When all was said and done, we waited 8 days for our replacement device. I feel that if there were more coordination between T-Mobile and Assurant, we would not have had to go through so much hassle. I was also disappointed no one could tell us if documentation was received immediately and this caused an extra 3 day in wait time. The process could be much more efficient.

    Received our replacement device and I can not talk if I put it on speaker. The speaker is all garbled. Called customer service and they wanted me to send back the replacement phone BEFORE they could send another one meaning I would be without a phone for at least 3 days. I told them that was unacceptable and asked for a manager. When she came back In the line she said I had 180 day warranty and could take it to T-Mobile for a replacement.

The reason I am not happy is because I pay for insurance to replace my phone and was told that my Note would be not be replaced and the only option I have is another phone that is not a Note. After 24 hours of not getting email, I logged back in to find an obscure place saying they needed my TMobile bill. Couldn't find a way to upload the bill so I called. After a good wait a friendly person helped me find an upload place that I never would have found somewhere down the Contact Us link. I uploaded and it then took 24 hrs to get into the system. They shipped it and 24 hours later I had my new phone. A total of 3.5 days without a phone. I have since returned the phone in the USPS cardboard envelope they provided and I have gotten no feedback about having received it after a full week. The tracking site still says they have not received it. Worst service ever. I will cancel the insurance on this new phone. Very unhappy.

    Submitted my claim on Thursday, heard nothing until Tuesday (and I had to reach out) and I found out that my device was "out of stock" and no one had tried to reach out. My option was to buy a phone at full retail price (899.00) only to be reimbursed for half which is absolutely ridiculous to ask during a pandemic with no employment. I was then told I would hear in 24 hour once my claim was accepted (which I did not and my claim was accepted shortly after the call). Heard nothing for 48 additional hours in which I was told that my device has somehow become available magically and would be sent. Terrible experience start to finish, only positive was that I received my device and don't have to deal with this anymore.

    PS - If a customer tells your team that they don't have a back up number and explicitly states to multiple members to reach out via email (as my only line is this and we are all quarantined), please make sure you actually do so.     It was a horrible experience. I went online to process my claim. Website said to only use if in Porto Rico and to call if outside that area. Called and they told me to use the website. I use the website and for some reason, they were not able to process my payment. I called about it 24hrs later as that was the promise time. I was informed my payment had not gone through, I asked why I hadn't been called, they said I beat them to it. Mind you, I called 30 minutes before them closing and the lady was very short. She promised the world it would be processed immediately and I would have my phone. I did not receive it till 5 days later.

    The whole point of me ordering it before the weekend was because I had a busy week ahead. The whole process took 7 days, for from the promised 24 or even 48hrs. This whole process was horrible for a service that I pay every month for and have paid 10 times over for a new phone. The least I would expect is for the guarantees to be met, I was not looking for anything more than that. Very unhappy customer!!!
