Had to replace my nephew defective phone and they send a phone that was already activated on someone else account so I had to send that one back before another was send out and both times it took 3 days to receive. Not overnight.

We had to replace my husband's phone and it was simple to make a claim and claim his phone. We received updates and it only took two days to get his phone in the mail. We did have to pay a deductible of 100 dollars but since his phone was older they update him to the newest Samsung Note. Much cheaper than buying a new one. We have no complaints and were very pleased with the service, ease of contacting them and promptness.

I was pleased with the service, although T-Mobile was very unhelpful in the entire process. I was on hold for 50 + minutes with T-Mobile and the call was never answered. That is extremely poor customer service in my opinion. Once I managed to get my claim filed online, since the store personnel were more concerned with getting back to doing nothing, the process went very smoothly and my replacement phone arrived the next day.

Took 2-3, days to get because when said overnight ask me what color phone but they send me a purple/pink phone. I called to ask why I didn't get the color I paid for. Representative was rude. Spoke to supervisor. Was given runaround then a long process to return & hope I get the color I requested. I paid for the phone. I should get what I pick.

Phone was sent out and worked for a couple days and now it has sound but no screen. I need another phone sent out ASAP. My experience with T mobile all in all has been disappointing to say the least. Cracked phone. This was the most easiest process I ever had. The clerk was so helpful and we got this claim done quickly. I tried to do it online but I was having some trouble so I got on the phone and it was really easy.

I've reported my cellphone Samsung Galaxy Note 8 broken and they've sent me asap a Samsung Galaxy Note 10. I really appreciate this upgrade even though I don't understand why. I cannot assure you this will happen to you because each case is different. Some years ago I reported another phone and they sent me the same model asap as well so for sure they provide a good service and I recommend them.

Quick, efficient and now with reasonable deductibles made the process so much better. They make returning damaged devices simpler as well. The filling out the claim information was not the friendliest however.

I didn't hear back about my shipment so I call. I was told there was a delay on my shipment due to covid19 but my phone arrived as was promised. No issues. I did expect to receive a new phone but I got a previously owned phone instead. Not complaining. Just happy to have a phone.

Cracked Screen Samsung Note 9. The original Assurant assistant was pleasant enough to work with but it became quite difficult from that point forward. The location of the only place that could assist me was the most dissatisfying portion. They were rude, did not like working for Assurant customers and still did a lackluster job in repairing my phone. After having them begrudgingly speak with an Assurant rep as the number turned into them regarding my model of phone was inaccurate on Assurant's end of processing, they were most put out. It took me calling Assurant to then speak with them that they agreed to work on it. Instead of dealing with being treated this way again, I'm getting a new phone and have found an easier insurance to cover my needs. I've bought insurance for many years and could have saved the headache by just using the saved insurance fees over time to buy new after my first accident. Most dissatisfying experience.

Broke 2 iPad screens. I am so pleased with the customer service and quick replacement of the iPads! Was very shocked that we received them the very next day. Within 25 hours we had our new iPads. Overnight delivery! Amazing and super Happy customer.

Online interface is terrible. It took me 5 tries online, one phone call and then have to try online again, to get this through. I called and was asked for a pin number, and nowhere could I find online a pin number, it asked for a name....but did not tell me, the name on the account or the name on the phone? My number or Cody's phone we needed replaced? Calling T-Mobile helped answer the questions, but there was nowhere to get answers from Assurant. I am fine with the rest of it, but the initiating of the claim was the worst. And here you are asking for my claim number, and I have no idea, as the paperwork is all filed away. You emailed me, so shouldn't you have that info or be able to link it yourself??

I do enjoy having this service/insurance but when I received my replacement device, I didn't receive any other items that I needed in order to transfer my files from my old device. No charger cord, no USB to charging port adapter, and no instructions.

On the initial call I was not able to file a claim, I did not remember my pin code and was told there was no other way to access my acct. 2nd time I called I was able to provide my ssn to access my acct and file a claim, I was not able to complete payment because the call dropped as I was being transferred. Third time I called, I was told to use the website to make a payment.... Website never gave me the option to pay online. Payment was processed the 4th time I called. Terrible experience overall.

I put in for a replacement device which took me 2 days to even get past the website. Once I got my new device the Face ID was broken on arrival. And now I have to wait for a replacement replacement device. And once you receive a broken device they wash their hands of you forcing you to go back through your provider just to get a new phone sent out. Final verdict. Do not go through Assurant. They are incompetent and refused to help me after a replacement device they sent me was non functional.

I filed my claim. They took my money off my card. Sent me an email saying within 24 hours to be shipped. I am still waiting a week and a 1/2 later and it still has not been shipped. I call and I ask to speak with the manager and all they say is, "Let me take your number down and somebody will get back to you within 24 hours." Still no word on my phone but my money's gone.

Been paying insurance on my phone for 3+ years. The one time I lose my phone, and claim insurance for a new one I have been sent a horrible refurbished phone, with scratches and speaker issues. Customer service said 'It is what it is'.

The phones screen isn’t working well. It tends to stop working and freezing in the middle of everything. I pay insurance every month and they charged an extra $250 but the phone is a used phone. I want a better phone. Once you send the phone I’ll send this phone.

I called for a replacement phone because mine was damaged. The agent filed the claim for me quickly I paid my deductible online and that was it. The agent was polite and knowledgeable. I received my new device very fast. Was very pleased with the customer service.

Both the employees at the T-Mobile store and over the phone were all very helpful and professional. I had zero issues replacing my phone. My order was placed quickly and I received my phone the next day. The instructions were also clear regarding transferring data. However, an error did occur that nobody at T-Mobile could fix, so I had to restart the process of transferring my data and it finally worked.

I put a claim in for 2 phones, one blue and one is purple. I received two purple. When I called about it they told me the warehouse doesn’t check colors. My son was expecting blue not purple. They should have disclosed that with me in the beginning. I was thinking I was going to get what I had, a blue and a purple, not two purples.

My phone sunk in a boating accd. I called for a replacement phone Friday morning. This is a business phone and I needed it. Was not told they don't ship on Sat. I would have paid to have it Sat. So when I called Sat expecting it they told me then the they shipped it Friday but I would not have it until Monday. Well they did not ship till Monday and I got it Tues. No charger and a cracked back panel. I paid $15.00 a month and 250.00 to replace a Note. 8. That is $610.00 and you can't ship it next day air or give me a charger or replace the cracked back panel. SCAM. I saw them online right now for $199.00. I feel very violated.

I thought the rep both times were pleasant and professional. What I did not like was they didn’t inform that it takes a while to be approved which caused great delay for me receiving replacement and it upset me greatly as I was unable to make any calls due to a screen issue and it wasn’t rectified for 2 weeks.

After paying $18 extra a month on my T-mobile bill for insurance, and, paying the $99 deductible the Samsung Note that I originally paid eleven hundred dollars for in ocean blue, they sent me a purple replacement! When I called them about it they still didn't correct the problem! They would only say "well, we don't guarentee the same color." Also, the prior week to this, my wife had to do file a claim as well from breaking her screen and, they sent her a refurbished phone that wouldn't even hold a charge for ten minutes before it would cut off!

I canceled my policy over this experience. I will never get insurance on my phone with Assurant because of this. My phone was a Samsung S9 Plus in black. At about a year of ownership and a completely paid off phone the ear piece became muffled for no reason. I made a claim to Assurant....In their infinite wisdom, and without contacting me, they decided it was a good idea to send me a replacement S9 Plus in bright purple....I am a 40 year old male and PURPLE is NOT my color. If the phone is not going to be an exact replacement then I feel that they should contact the client and at least give them some options if an exact match is not available. Calls were met with "snickers of laughter" at my situation. I thought it was very unprofessional.

The screen and LED bleed were repaired but the back of the case was crack beyond repair and is being replace with an OEM back which I am paying for. After the repair of the screen after returning home we discovered that the WIFI and Internet switches would not turn on which made It unable to sync the phone up to my vehicle and made opening certain e-mails impossible to open. The timing of the repair didn't sync with a planned travel trip, so the back case replacement and a replacement wire that may but not. Completely sure to correct the WIFI and Internet repair cannot be made until Wednesday June 24th. Not a good experience to date.

I suppose the one and only negative about my experience in receiving a replacement Samsung Galaxy S10e was the outrageous deductible. It really floored me when I was told the cost since I live on a very small disability payment and had to wait in order to actually pay that much from my budget.

I will never ever buy insurance from Assurant ever again. Filed a claim and days later still no phone. They say none are available at the warehouse and no eta due to Covid. I can understand that issue, I really can. However here is where their processes are complete nonsense and unacceptable. They have no loaner phones available and neither does Spectrum. I MUST have a mobile phone to support critical functions for my company and Assurant has refused to take responsibility and find a solution. I'm just evidently now left with calling my job this week and telling them I am unable to work now - which is absolutely unacceptable.
A few people we spoke with mentioned the fact that you should be able to go into any Spectrum store, buy a new one and get reimbursed (less the deductible). We drove to the closest Spectrum store a ways away and they had them in stock. That should be the reasonable solution given where this is at and would also be in alignment with the fact that their terms state if they don't have a refurbished phone a new one will be provided. But when presented with that option Assurant refuses to help and continues to blame Covid when there is a workable solution. If nothing else figure out how to get me a 'short term low end phone' which I was told by Spectrum I can buy one and return it if it's within 14 days (which I don't know if this will be going beyond that).
Oh and of course I get to also pay a $50 restocking fee if I go that route. I can't believe between Assurant and Spectrum that anyone should be told they can't work over an issue like this. I just need a working phone until you can get me a replacement but evidently that is too much to ask. And no Assurant, per other reviews I am not taking this offline and reaching out to you directly. I have tried that several times and I continue to be told there is nothing you are willing to do. I will be switching back to Verizon as I have never had issues with them or their insurance company. I'd rather pay more in monthly pricing than deal with this kind of awful customer service. Assurant needs to seriously review your processes and authorizations so you don't mess with people's livelihoods like you have done to me! This could seriously put my job in jeopardy! Please understand, I can never forgive you for this grave disservice.

The delivery was on time with no product concerns. T-Mobile was able to transfer contact, photos and some apps. The instructions regarding removal of data was good. The package was securely done. Instructions to return old phone was good.

Phone didn't even last 1 day. They gave me a replacement phone that wasn't good. I went out to jog and came home to see moist in my cameras. Sweat went into my phone and damaged the cameras. My previous phone that I broke and asked for a replacement. I used to go swimming with it and jog everyday. Never had this problem. The phone is supposed to be water resistant. But it can't handle sweat. Very bad service.

My phone was not delivered by the day it said I would get it. I waited another day but still not here. I called Assurant and talked to Patricia in Fla. This lady said they didn't have a claim for me. I told her that the manger at Bluegrass in E-Town filed one for me and sent it while I was there? So Patricia helped me file another one. I had a hard time filling the claim out, but this lady was amazing to me. She was so kind, patient and understanding. I had to fill the claim out 2 times before I could get it to go through. Most people get upset because I have a hard time on pc. So, I have to say my experience with Assurant and this lady was good. Thanks so much!

A very long drawn out affair to get entire replacement ordered and turned new phone on. The phone wait was BAD. Some reps extremely helpful. Non clear speaking "foreign" people awful. Rate would be higher w/o long wait + clear English speaking reps.

I was waiting days to hear something back, online kept saying pending. After days of this I called them and asked what the problem. Evidently there was a problem with the deductible going through, we straightened out the problem and then it was ANOTHER two days to get the phone.

I placed my order on Thursday and it didn't ship till Monday. So I didn't get a phone till Tuesday so I didn't have a phone for five days, and when I got the phone I got the wrong color, tried calling but it's useless.

New device came 1 week later. Too late to come. I claimed Thursday noon, and send Friday night. Monday not delivery, and Tuesday not delivery. I picked up at Wednesday, go to ups facility directly. And my old device is Note 10+ glow color, but new device came black color.

I had expected to wait at least 2-3 business days for the replacement for a phone(screen was cracked) and I got the replacement the next day. I was able to take the phone to my T-Mobile dealer and get it up and running within 24 hours.

I went through the hassle of creating an account on here just to share the horrible service I have experienced with Assurant. If I could give this review less than a star, I would. My experience with Assurant Phone Insurance has been infuriating. I filed my claim on the 14th and was told my replacement device would be delivered the next day. It's been a week and all Assurant has as an excuse is "That device is on backorder and we don't know when, or if, well get more in stock. Sorry". What am I paying for in phone insurance if Assurant cant even do the SOLE thing they're supposed to do.
I have been without a functioning cell phone for a week now thanks to Assurant. I am missing calls and important messages for both my personal and business life all because Assurant can't do their job. I am losing money because of the delay on ASSURANT's part. My disappointment is not only with Assurant's service, but with U.S. Cellular as well for using them. This is ridiculous. I need a phone. I PAID for a replacement device so give me the device. I shouldn't have to wait for a week just to get some terrible excuses as to why a company can't do the ONLY job that I pay them to do.

My Galaxy Note5 was replaced with a Galaxy S7. I specifically bought a Note 5 for the bigger screen, now I have a smaller screen with the S7. Apparently the S7 is deemed to be an equivalent to the Note5 which I do not agree with since it's just a much smaller screen. Why could I not get a Note5 replacement or if that's not possible anymore a new Note version?

In the past, if I filed a claim, my new device would have came the next day via overnight mail. I filed this claim on a Wednesday and didn't get my new device until Saturday afternoon. I have 4 children that I couldn't contact while during my commute to and from work. Especially during these times of the pandemic I needed to have constant communication with them and them with me. I could only use my work phone. Hopefully if this happens again that I will get my phone the next morning.

At Assurant they claim "we understand what matters most. It’s not the things we protect. It’s the people we serve.” Lies!!!! Let me start by saying this is the first time I have been so disappointed in a company that I actually took the time to write a review. On 6/2020 I reported my phone lost and filed a claim (#**) with ASSURANT which was approved on 6/3/20, I paid the fee of $249.00 (aka service fee and deductible). The confirmation email indicated that I would be receiving a tracking number as soon as the item is ready for shipping usually within 24hrs (the usual process). The following day as promised I received the tracking number (**).
On 6/6/20 as per UPS the item was delivered at 8:11pm and left on my front door. To my surprise upon my arrival home the item was not on my front door. I promptly reviewed my security cameras and to my surprise on the date of 6/5/20 – 6/7/20, there has been ABSOLUTELY NO DELIVERY COMPANY PLACING ANYTHING ON MY STEPS. I attempted to report the issue to UPS but was unable to place a claim as the online claims indicated the package was still out for delivery, while the tracking details indicated delivery was completed as indicated above.
This misinformation was promptly reported to Assurant, the representative indicated that he would make a claim, which takes approximately 10-14 days. I informed him that this was a work related device and I would not be able to wait 10-14 days, so he recommended I speak with my service provider with hopes that they can send me a “loaner” phone while awaiting the completion of the investigation. My service provider was able to complete the process (provide a “loaner phone”) in a timely fashion.
On 6/18/20 I received a call from an ASSURANT representative inquiring if I had received my phone, when I replied no, she then said “ok, I just wanted to make sure”. She then went on, we are going to ship you a “one time concession” but we cannot send it to the same address so you would have to provide me with another address where the device can be sent. Initially I was taken back, but compliant and provided a different address. The representative then again repeated “this is a ONE TIME CONCESSION”. At that moment, I asked for a definition what that statement meant, so she indicated that it was due to a package not being received they would ship an additional one free of charge. I then asked but a “one time concession?” What would happen if your second delivery did not get delivered like the first one, then what?
Her reply: if not received ASSURANT would NOT be sending another device for free and it is only company policy that she informed me that this is only a ONE TIME CONCESSION. I then inquired what the outcome of my investigation was and her reply: “as per UPS the item was delivered on 6/6/20 and left on your door step at 8:11pm” so the investigation is closed. So ASSURANT is willing to offer me a ONE TIME CONCESSION.
I expressed to her that I have video proof that there was never a delivery to my home and now Assurant want me to provide a different address which may not be under video surveillance and I must accept a “one time concession”. I then demanded to have a refund or speak with a supervisor. The Supervisor listened, expressed empathy, then indicated that she can actually override the need for a different address and have the phone delivered to my home, AS A ONE TIME CONCESSION. As my anger grew, I asked that a different delivery carrier be used or request a signature for proof of delivery. As per the supervisor this was out of her control and I can call the delivery company on my own and request a signature, when asked what and why am I paying ASSURANT to provide a service....my current rage prevents me from recalling her answer.
I then asked for this claim to be canceled and my money refunded because at this time I’m am about to loose it. Her response, because this is a “one time concession” we can not grant you a refund. So you mean to tell me that although I have video proof that a package was nooootttt delivered as indicated I am now being told that I can no longer get my money back from a company I current feel can no longer provider the services it claims to be solely paid for. This is an outrage.
I attempted to contact the corporate office but was only given a mailing address. How can I attach or show assurant a video indicating that this package was never delivered and why is the assurant company representatives demanding that this is a “one time concession”, which means if I don't get the second item I lose my funds. It is assurant responsibility to have my package delivered or refund my money. As per the assurant website ““at assurant, we understand what matters most. It’s not the things we protect. It’s the people we serve.” This is a load of lies!!!! Exactly how are they serving me?
P.S: (I reviewed the ups website while writing this post on 6/19/20 5:18am: which indicates “we’ve begun an investigation to locate the package”) Why am I being asked to accept a “one time concession” and why am I not able to cancel my service if I am unhappy with assurant service. Please someone explain that to me.

When ordering the replacement I was told one thing about receiving the item promptly. I use this device for work related tasks and was unable to receive it in a timely manner. It arrived five days later. Furthermore, I originally bought the item with the color blue. The rep advised it will be blues my other device well the device came late as well as the color black. I had to call in on day two to see what was going on and finally they advised that they would ship it by Monday. I received it Tuesday. Very disappointed!

Apparently it looks like phones are not inspected before being sent out. Phone that I received, was not working. It would automatically power off if phone was idle and not in use. Had to call in to have that phone replaced as well. Got another one replaced yesterday. And this one won't allow me to do Tmobile System Updates... It will freeze a good bit and then finally power off and try to start up the system update again repeating the process over and over again. In order to just stop it from doing that, so that I can actually use the phone, I had to just postpone the system update. I assume I will have to do that every day in order to actually be able to use the phone... Feeling very disappointed with all this situation, I would NEVER recommend Assurant to anyone!

I sent in a perfectly good cell phone all but for the scratch on the screen. In turn Assurant sent a "replacement phone" which I thought to be a loaner phone. My phone is in excellent condition but the screen I would like it back. The replacement is garbage. Bad speaker. My phone's speaker worked just fine. ALL I wanted was my screen repaired and my phone sent back to me. I send in a good product to get it replaced with a worse product? I have tried to chat to no avail. I've had the same phone for over 8 months. Claim was rejected first 3 times. I submitted a receipt from Samsung.com. They denied my receipt. I bought my phone directly from Samsung. Receipts from samsung DO NOT have IMEI numbers on them. I spoke with 3 people from Assurant. They could not get the claims department to approve my phone. I have never had an insurance claim before this. The experience was awful. I had to argue with customer support for over 2 hrs on 3 different days. It was very bad. It seemed as though Assurant will do anything to not approve a claim.

I recently did an insurance claim on my Note 9 due to some water damage. The replacement that was sent to me had a defective pen. Lucky for me is the original pen was still in working order so I was able to use that for now. I feel like if I pay for an insurance the replacement should be inspected and something as simple as the pen could have been resolved easy if someone had just inspected the phone properly before sending it out to me.

I broke my phone and filed a claim and paid the $99 but a day later was told the replacement device I was expecting to be mailed to me overnight was back ordered with no expected restock date. I called Assurant and was transferred to Kimberly (**), a floor manager. I was not happy when they patched me over to her. But I was immediately impressed with her reaction to my problem. She was empathetic with my frustration and made my problem her problem. We went over the possible solutions and she promised to do several extra steps to solve the issue. She was true to her word when she promised to do what she could and call me back. The very next day she called to tell me my phone was on its way. I don't know how she worked it out but she did which is all that matter. She was super competent, caring and effective in her job. I would have probably changed carriers if not for her.

I tried for over 2 months to get a replacement phone and finally had to resort to informing Assurant that I was ready to go to court due to the hassles that I was having to deal with. I was repeatedly rejected for "lack of proper identification, even after providing the case number for the robery where I lost my wallet and keys. I finally got to the point that I was going to go see a lawyer the next day, when I got connected to the only person there who was actually attempting to serve the customer rather than the company. She passed my information directly to the review team, who claimed they hadn't been informed of the situation previously. Finally the claim I filed on April 6 was finished up on June 15th when I finally got my phone replacement.

I received a damaged replacement phone. The camera did not work. I spent 2 hour and 1/2 talking to 5 different individuals to try to get a new replacement phone. Two of the people I talk to purposely hung up on me but the two ladies I talked to were the only ones to help me. Since I can only choose one company at a time, I'll have to break my complaint into two. T-Mobile is also a part of this stress filled nightmare! However, at the moment, the insurance company they choose to send their customers to with broken phones, Assurant, is continuing the never ending horror show. I am 2 months away from ridding this experience from my life, but it's only becoming worse in my final days. The T-Mobile branch I went to completely bamboozled me from day 1. I had just gotten an annual bonus from my employer, and because my phone is used so much with my job, I thought I'd treat myself to the new Galaxy S9.
To get to where I am now, I'll just say, I got stuck with the S8 and it came with a crack in the corner of the screen, which I was told I'd have to file a claim for and pay the deductible! (I was also told I didn't need a case for the S8, which was a loaner, and was to be exchanged when my S9 came in.) So, I was not paying the deductible for a phone that was pawned off on me, already cracked at the store...all within a week from getting it. Side note.. I've NEVER broken a screen or any part of a phone before this one.
October 14th, the screen broke completely. It was basically the original crack growing, and to be honest, I hated it so much I wasn't buying cases and accessories for it now. Anyway, Assurant was not originally contacted, T-Mobile was. I wanted to find out what they could do, after everything I dealt with (additionally, to get a bigger commission, the guy there put a ton of wrong information in under my account. Business line, tablets and another phone line without even a phone connected!) After countless conversations I was stuck waiting. So, I used an old phone, that was horrible but needed, and continued paying huge payments just under $200/month.
Finally, enough was enough. I gave in and filed a claim. T-Mobile was aware of every detail, and Assurant was as well. A week ago, when the claim was filed, I was told I'd have the new phone in a couple days, delivered to my home. After nothing came, I called for a tracking number. It was then when I was told the claim was actually denied. I had no idea, and waited daily for the phone. The reason for the denial? The quiz show questions were answered wrong.
The one I missed was the exact date. I said it was right before Halloween, because it broke while shopping for decorations. Not a word at the time was explained. Now, a nasty rep was telling me, as a COURTESY, she would skip the 1st time I answered wrong, and would allow me to try again, but if I missed the date THIS time, then there would be no 3rd time! What?!? I looked up the terms and conditions and realized this lady was making up her own rules. I still asked her if I should check the date with T-mobile since being wrong would result in a denied claim for good! She was so rude saying, "Well I'd say that might be a good idea!" This woman held my approval in her hands apparently, and I stayed polite while my blood boiled!
Now, armed with the date, and a T-Mobile rep on the line too, I called again. At some point early on, T-Mobile just hung up. I didnt even know until I asked them for input. Now, the date means nothing. Now, it's not claimed within 90 days. All of that other crap was, I guess just for fun! The phone and the issues have been continuously reported to both companies! The same day it was reported! I was unhappy about having to pay a week after buying the stupid thing, and was waiting over the course of 2 YEARS for a resolution! I was paying insurance every month for insurance that I could never even use! I was dragged along, ignored, insulted, overcharged, lied to, and now, AGAIN, stuck with a phone I never wanted, and that doesn't even work!
I cannot believe a big company can be so awful to customers. T-mobile will get an even more messed up complaint..since I was not supposed to be tied to them for 2 years from the start! But this insurance company is taking advantage! "No, no...don't file the claim yet, it's not your fault it's broke...Well you waited too long to file. Sorry." (Actually, never once did I get an apology from Assurant...and T-Mobile will say it, but only while they push you out the door!)
Is this how they get around fixing problems and still getting money? Just screwing people while taking payments? Oh, another Assurant gem told me, "You don't have insurance on the phone..just the phone LINE." What kind of ridiculous statement is that?! How do I break the phone LINE?! Why would I put insurance on the air..where the phone line is?!? Horrible service and products and terms, and whatever they do. Just another time I'm being bamboozled!! This is criminal.

Not one of your customer service reps were polite! One of them kept talking over me when I simply wanted to explain what was going on. I got hung up on a couple times (I was not being rude or loud). It took over a week and a half to get my device! I was left without a phone with my 8 mo baby during a pandemic crisis. I was given inaccurate information! And was not told instructions I was supposed to take care of. This whole experience just made me want to switch carriers because I don’t want to deal with Assurant any longer. I’m upset at the fact that no one cared that I needed to have a surgery done and was going to be left without a device so I couldn’t contact my family. My husband was working out of town. This was just a crazy sad feeling. I was given the feeling of not being cared about but y’all will take my money real quick.

UPS left my phone and it's not at the access point and you're not giving me a replacement. I paid for this phone. UPS should have just brought it back if I wasn't home. I've been to the access point 3 times and it's not there. Why can't I just get a replacement? I pay you every month for this service. I just don't get it. This has been going on since May 8th. Took a little over two weeks to get my replacement phone. Lots of back and forth emails and phone calls to this insurance company. Then when I finally got my phone it didn’t work and the sim card was junk. Ended up having to go back into the cellular store anyway. Very inconvenient and a long process.

My only real complaint is a common one I'm imagining.... the $100 fee on TOP of paying for insurance for years and years and years... That and I lost half of my apps and settings when I took my phone to the local US Cellular outlet to get my info transferred to the new phone.

I called to report damage on Saturday. They were nice and helpful. It took until Wed to get phone. I know they generally send refurb units. I was pleasantly surprised to see a new Note 9 and the claim said blue but it's pink. T-MOBILE store said purple but I'm sticking with pink. Unfortunately because of the damage I couldn't get my info out of old phone or reset it a little concerned about that. I have someone trying today. Also didn't expect the 250 deductible. I thought I was on the plan for around half of that. So your people were helpful and nice, awesome the phone was new, bummer it was pink/purple. Not the end of the world. I'll put a case on it.

I received used phone for my broken phone replacement. No one never didn't tell me that I can possibly get used phone. Shame on you Assurant. I called Tmobile, talk with supervisor and was told they donate nothing with it. Then I talked with Assurant same thing. "Due to Covid 19 we don't have new phones", was the answer from the lady on the phone.

When I purchased the insurance I was not told about the $100 deductible nor was I told you would substitute a refurb when I expected a new phone. The refurb probably cost you less than $100 so you still made money. The premium I have paid for 2 years hardly seems worth it. I won't make the same mistake next time.

I ordered a new phone and I thought it was going to be amazing however it was not. The replacement phone has a terrible speaker. I cannot hear half of my ringtones when a person has called me. I have been unable to locate a customer service number that doesn't feed through me through a robot. I am highly disappointed with this phone that I received. I cannot use speaker phone as it sounds like I'm sitting with my phone in a trash can.

Claim was processed very quickly with no problems. Replacement phone only functioned for one week and has the exact same problem. We don't know if we were sent a new phone or refurb. Now we have to go through another process to get this phone replaced.

My experience with the Assurant claim was absolutely horrible. The claim took longer than it should have. No one on the staff was able to answer any of my questions. I was transferred numerous times and no one on staff was able to answer my questions. I paid $16.00 a month for the insurance for two years which essentially has paid for a new phone, the phone valued at 349 plus I paid for the phone, I was charge $99.00 deductible (why) when I am already paying $16.00 to cover the insurance.
This is not an analogy to car insurance. You pay your car insurance and a deductible. Your car damage is repaired. You are not ask to return your car as well. This is your policy, however, this is not good business practice. Customers are being exploited and taken advantage of with policy, and the company Assurant is the only one gaining in this business. I paid for the phone. It should be my property. The experience of what I had to go through to file the claim was totally unprofessional.

Greetings, I was sent a phone with dust on it, uncharged, without a charger. And you all had the nerve to tell me when I had to have the old phone sent back or you would charge me! I couldn't even get all my files sent over from that phone! I'm livid and will be canceling my insurance on this phone. And for you all to be the only phone insurance company, it seems you would have better business practices & customer services.
This ordeal has been so bad, that I am also leaving Metro PCS after 11 years. I'm done paying for disrespect from companies whom do not value the very consumers that keep you in business. Without the clients & consumers....you wouldn't have a company. With everything that's going on in the our country, everything is about to change, and companies that do not value their customers, with one person whom raise awareness to being undervalued, can shut down and bankrupt an entire company. My phone was lost or stolen and then it was recovered. After I filed my claim I paid for two phones and I should be able to unlock the one and give it to a family member but they won't allow it which is ridiculous because I paid for both phones. Very poor customer service.

The process of filing the claim was simple and fast, unlike the process of receiving the device. It took a couple more days than expected. Upon receiving the replacement, I noticed it was not the same decive I had. I received a pink phone. My phone comes with a screen protector factory installed. Such a protector was damaged when I received my phone. I contacted consumer support and they told me they could not do anything about either issue.

I was told when I first called I would have my replacement phone in two days. It took over a week had to back order. 2nd I was trading the replacement phone on an new iPhone and still can't because the phone is locked down for some reason. I would have had no problem if I was told all this up front. I believe training is what is needed and not to guess on what will happen.

While I was happy with the time it took to arrive, I was VERY disappointed that the phone was black. I would have never purchased a black phone and was hoping for another white one or at lease the aura glow. I wish I would have been notified before they made this decision. I may have been able wait until my color came in.

Updated on 06/30/2020: After I submitted my original review regarding this issue, I was contacted by Assurant and an agent told me that they would look into the claim and see what they could do. I just got a call back about an hour ago and was told nothing would be done and that I was not "paying for a warranty, but the ability to submit a claim with no guarantee that it would be accepted". And that the only thing they could do was ask T-Mobile to do more to help with the issue. I pointed out that T-Mobile has already done a fair amount to help with the situation even though it is Assurant that is responsible for honoring their contracts. Obviously, I filed a complaint with T-Mobile regarding this claim and the handling of it. I am not impressed at all with Assurant's service or lack thereof. The T-Mobile representatives that I have been discussing the above issue with have been great and have been doing everything possible to help resolve the issues.
Original Review: I spent two days back and forth with t mobile reps and Assurant reps. I ended up on a conference call with a t mobile rep and an assurant rep (manager) where I was assured that if I could provide the original receipt for my device (even though the imei number for my phone was what was listed with t mobile and was verified) that my phone would be replaced.
I got a copy of the original installment agreement for that line also showing the phone model type I was given and sent that in. Two days later the claim was denied, and the t mobile reps didn't even understand why assurant absolutely refused to honor the contract. T mobile did step in on their end to help, but assurant was absolutely no help with the terrible service they provide. Essentially I paid over a year for a useless insurance policy from this company. I am very unhappy with the actions taken by Assurant.

If I could have given a zero star, I would have. They approved the claim, then denied the claim. Yet after 2 months of fighting with them, involving lawyers, and lots of paperwork, the claim was approved. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Received replacement and after using SmartSwitch to transfer apps to new phone, was working fine. However, the next morning, could not access the phone as it was requiring a password I had not input - mine was all numbers, phone wanted minimum 4 numbers and 1 letter. After talking with Assurant/T-Mobile technician, directed to perform certain steps on phone to re-set....Nothing! When attempted to re-start phone, when required to push Re-Start button again, the phone took me to a different screen I couldn't get out of and phone would not re-start. Was told to send back and now awaiting another replacement phone....

Updated 12/15/2020: This was a claim for a replacement phone Galaxy 10 back on 6/13/2020. Merchandise was sent back. Representative calling saying I would receive my refund once the product was received. No refund has been issued.
Updated 12/14/2020: I was told that I would receive my refund once the product was received and reviewed. After which I was left with no response for a deductible or fee that I paid that had not yet been returned. But I sent the merchandise back in June.
