Replacement of damaged Galaxy S9+. Service Representatives were knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. They walked me through the Claims process, explained every step and made sure that I understood everything. Shipping was fast. My new phone arrived in perfect condition and setup was easy.

My cellphone battery caught fire. I reported it to T-Mobile and Assurant claims. I received a new replacement phone without any difficulty. Thank you very much. Assurant was very understanding and professional.

The process of exchanging my cell phone was the absolute worst experience I've ever had. I wish I could give a rating of negative ten because that is the level of service I received. The experience with the representative was horrific, from lack of knowledge to the basic professionalism and customer service.

The screen was plastic, not glass, the processor was sub par. Not the phone I used to have. Looked like it, did not act like it. Sent it back immediately and was told they are on back order. In over 3 years I paid 12 a month for coverage in case my phone went bad. Now I'm without a phone because of this joke of an insurance company. Would not upgrade to a 'like' phone. This company is garbage. Customer service is great, however not backed up by product promised.

The replacement phone sent to me is such low quality compared to my original phone. It heats up on charging and the charger is so flimsy that it bent in one day. I am returning this flimsy phone. Unbelievable!!

My Pixel 4 XL got damaged, went to file a claim through T-Mobile, and found the experience to be simple, and straightforward. I ended up getting my phone a couple of days later. Put my old phone in the pre addressed envelope and BOOM! It's a very easy process, I do recommend it highly of you've damaged your phone.

The phone you sent me is defective. It overheats and shuts down when taking pictures or videos. I have restarted the phone and but it is not functioning properly. I would like a replacement with a new phone not a refurbished one.

The sign in/device id steps need some flexibility. I was filing for my wife who lost her phone while out of town camping and couldn’t file. Assurant would not let me list her phone number even though it is on my account and I am the only one with a T-Mobile account in the family. When the new phone was shipped MY phone number was disabled because I had to file under my own number! It was worked out once we received the phone but only after 2 hours with T-Mobile support. Glad it worked out.

This replacement took a week to process and multiple calls and verification. This was not easy as past replacement. AFTER all was verified and my claim was approved I was told I was getting the wrong color. Then I had to cancel my order and reorder to get the right device color. The system was showing my current device was an s20 PINK but my verification I submitted proof of purchase showed s20 blue.

I currently have three iPhones that I have covered with y’all. I did a claim with one of my phones dad went completely blank but did not turn off. I grab the other phone that is Damaged and install my chip in it. You’ll send me a notification that I have till the seventh of this month January to put my chip back in it or else I will lose a claim.

Simple and Easy Replacement Process. I couldn't remember my Old Address in System and failed verification process 4 times until I could remember exact address. This was frustrating. I used my personal security code but apparently that was not enough and I had to have my address.

SIM card came fast and activation was smooth and easy. The first SIM card was sent incorrectly and a new one arrived the very next day. No issues further. Representative was steady and provided sufficient service.

Tried to apply online like phone message says, but pin code was not right. Called, but they said that they need to talk to account holder. Have husband call and tells me new pin issued. Go online again but pin is still wrong. Call and find out that new pin won’t update til 24 hours. Finally call again for them to send a direct link from email. Finally got claim submitted!

Horrible experience! Took a week of dealing with these people before I finally got sick of it and asked to speak to a manager. Pretty sad that only the managers know how to serve their customers. Best advice is to ask for a manager up front!!!!

I got my replacement phone in a timely manner & the representative was friendly enough. I was dissatisfied with activating new phone. It said follow instructions on the screen & it should have said take to local store because it's IMPOSSIBLE to activate unless you do. Then they wanted to charge me an additional $70 after I just paid them $100 deductible!

I waited for 5 days. I called see where my phone was and they never sent me an email that I never knew about that I had to fill out and send back. Now T-Mobile will not do the transfer on my phone nor show me how because of Covid-19.

I didn't like the store reps not being able to help me like in the past. Just gave me the Assurant number. I had to call again to follow up on my claim & then I paid $99 for something that could have been a technical issue & caused me $0. There was no real tech solutioning. Now the replacement phone arrived timely in the mail, so that was good.

I received my phone in a timely manner. Important to note, they should have a signature required and not just leave the package at the door. Or ask if we want to pick it up from a UPS Lock box. This avoids any missing products. Other than that I got my phone fast. Thank you!

Filed a claim. Received a damaged replacement device. Was told that once I sent the damaged replacement device back with their FedEx label, they would send another replacement. Had to call two days later to find out if the new replacement device had been sent. It had not. After explaining my frustration with the misinformation I had received, I was told that they would expedite my order so I could receive the device the following day. That also did not happen. I have been without my work phone for a week now and don't foresee it getting here until the following Monday. Communication is poor and customer service reps give misleading information without any follow through. I would not recommend this service if you can avoid it.

Everything was great until I called in with a valid concern about the claimed phone. I didn't know that the system was updated to accept the discrepancy so the claim could be completed. It wasn't like that last time. When I called, the representative told me I needed to speak with my carrier, that Assurant wasn't taking care of the claim.
When I tried to explain, she said I was wrong and told me she would transfer me to my carrier. I declined and asked for a supervisor. She said she would transfer me to one and then transferred me to my carrier instead. She didn't bother to see that the claim was already approved and we had the "bring your own device" that gets taken care of through Assurant. After calling back and getting a supervisor, I explained what the representative did. He said she would be coached but... Did she really? How many others go through this? I would have given 5 stars if she hadn't have treated me that way.

I had the worst experience with this company. First they send me a defective phone and would not send second replacement until I send back the defective one which took almost two days because they didn't send me the shipping label on time. They finally shipped second replacement after two days which I didn't receive for next 4 days because of the weekend. I almost spend 5-6 hours with them on the phone and they weren't very helpful to expedite the process. Very disappointing.

The process was very easy for me. The automation on the phone was not very convenient but the online process was. I was frustrated on the phone and moved over online to finish a lot quicker than on the phone.

Experience was awful. It took two days to get everything processed. They kept sending me here and there, here and there. When I finally received my phone the device keeps getting stuck and I have to power my phone off.

Worse service ever. I hate Metro PCS. Two phones in one year and I had to pay for activation. None of these phones are good. I had to pay 50.00 for a new phone, 15.00 for activation and 49.00 for my monthly bill. No discounts. I'm a single mother struggling and this company rips people off left to right. A non happy customer.

Package was well put together. Very easy to follow directions on return. Replaced device is the same model just newer condition. The data of my history of photos, contact numbers, email and passwords were no hassle to transfer to new replaced device.

It has been over 2 months since my claim was filed. I had to purchase a new phone I did so same day as I was told that I was unable to get a replacement and I am still waiting for my check over 2 months later. I am VERY UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED that it has taken this long for you to complete this. I am out almost 1,000.00 and I will not use the services again.

The delivery was good, the phone was not the refurbished phones back was in very used condition, when I hit the back button it doesn't always go back with one click very disappointed that I had to pay a 100.00. For a used phone will not recommend your company to anyone!! What good is insurance if you get ripped off?

My phone says it was delivered on the 25th of June which it was not unless they delivered it to the wrong house. I paid for my device and I would appreciate the device delivered to me. I do believe I need to he contacted but MetroPCS tells me they can't do anything.

My phone burned out and I needed a replacement. Once my claim was submitted and approved (only took two days) my phone was shipped overnight. Only feedback is for the company you are under. They need to have you more accessible in their App for quicker progress. I waited 3 weeks before finding out that this was covered in my insurance.

I filed my claim then my claim was canceled. I called back trying to find out why but didn’t get a clear answer. Was told that I put missing and lost on a form so I went on to say those were the same thing but also argued that I told them my phone was took from me at a gas station. I asked for Proof. Was told they had no proof that they could show me which was odd to me so you tell me I lied but can’t prove it.

My new device got here in less than 48 hours. It was a fast delivery. The only one thing that was really confusing was that you guys were not allowed to use my Gmail or use another number to set my sims card over the phone.

I had a Samsung Note 5 that developed a purple spot in one corner of my screen on Friday, June 19 and by Saturday June 20th, the purple hue on my phone made my screen unreadable. I got on Assurant chat and spoke with Arlene and she told me that this was covered under my protection 360 plan, but it was a mechanical breakdown and it would be turned over to T-Mobile. Bottom line, I spent a total of 9 and half hours on the phone between Saturday, June 20th and Monday, June 22nd. T-Mobile would not take responsibility saying it was not a mechanical breakdown and Assurant saying it was. The last conversation I had with an Assurant representative was that the last Tech person that I spent 3 hours on the phone with told Assurant I sat on my phone. I did not, but had to say I did and pay $99 to get a replacement phone when mechanical breakdown is a no charge event.
I know I was going to get a refurbished phone, but was not told I would be getting a different make and model than the one I had, so I had not case or screen protector when I received the replacement phone. I again went on Assurant chat line and was told that you had no refurbished Note phones and I could send back the replacement phone and be credited the $99. I don't know why I even have the protection plan because what I have paid since I got my phone for my protection plan is $832. If I add the $99 that I paid Assurant, I could have a brand new phone. Live and learn. T-Mobile will hear from me next. I have been a 20 year customer.

Filing a claim with Assurant was extremely easy! I received my replacement phone the following day. My only "gripe" was not knowing that the insurance claims are not handled in store. Had I known this, I would've been able to file my claim quicker and wouldn't have made an unnecessary trip to the T-Mobile store, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Other than that, my experience with Assurant was great!

I received my phone and ever since I have it. My apps will freeze, my phone will restart on its own. Will kick me out of certain apps. Go into an Apple logo and stay there. Had to wait for my phone to die for it to restart. I can’t turn off my phone. It doesn’t let me. It kicks me out of my own Apple ID and have to sign myself back in. It’s horrible and after backing it up the iCloud and resetting it and uploading it from the same iCloud it still doesn’t fix the problem. I went to T-Mobile and they said it was the phone they send me.

I loved how quick I received my replacement phone and got a free upgrade. Definitely happy with this process and how easy it was to complete the claim online. Y’all withheld my replacement phone because y’all lost the money I sent to pay for the insurance claim for over a month. Even after my consistent calling. It wasn’t until I threatened legal action and leaving the company that y’all miraculously find my payment and send my new phone out. Very unorganized and unprofessional.

I have paid $12/month for a phone protection plan for my Xfinity Mobile Samsung S9+ for the past 24 months. I dropped my phone and cracked the screen. Only 1/3 of the screen is responsive. I went to local Xfinity store...no help...can't help me there. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised by that....but OK. I called Assurant and filed a claim on Friday, I was given two choices...pay $29 and drive 25 miles through Pittsburgh city traffic to the one of few repair centers that are open, OR pay $99 and have a replacement phone shipped to me "next business day" OR I could pay an additional $30 to have Saturday delivery. I chose to pay the $99 for next biz day delivery....
Monday came and went...no phone, Tuesday came and went ...no phone...I called Assurant...to my surprise NOW I'm told it's on back order and they have NO IDEA when they will have a replacement sent! WTF?? $12/month PLUS $99.....FOR WHAT???? Whatever you do... I.M.O. Don't waste your money on Assurant "Protection" Plan!

I filed a claim, after which the website and to phone calls gave me zero answers of a timeline or expectation of resolving my issue. Samsung was on back order was the only thing I heard in 2 phone calls. I asked for a a supervisor and talked with Matthew. Everyone was polite but had no way to resolve my issue, just the phone was on back order and it would be sent when they came in. I offered to by a phone and be reimbursed after, Matthew said that was not possible. I asked for another supervisor and he said they were busy. I asked for their voice-mail, he sent me to Mary or Anita? I left a message explaining the issue and asked for a call back and received nothing. I am very disappointed and have no interest in working with your company again.

It was a little worrying at first because I thought I was supposed to receive it within the next 24 hrs, 2nd day came around and was thinking not it's time to worry or get mad and it was there in front of my door next to the wall and I thought idek how long it's been there. But thank God I got it when I did.

Cell service for me is not a luxury it is a must since I have chronic illness from beginning of my birth. I ordered my phone on Sunday and it was delivered by Tuesday if not sooner. I’m happy I didn’t have to go without my phone for long. The setup was easy and I was able to use my phone right away. I call customer service to lock everything in.

The process was easy and fast. I reported the damaged phone on a Sunday and received the replacement on the following Tuesday. I had the original phone for a couple of years, and I guess a direct replacement wasn't available, so I received an upgrade, the subsequent model of the original phone that was broken, It was a pleasant surprise.

Phone was possessed and kept flying off the center of tables, I had to use my old one in place of it and need a new phone. Good thing I hadn’t returned my old one yet. Now I’m dealing with both phones that don’t work. Very disappointing.

I liked how efficient and straightforward everything was. Before I tried going through Apple support and it was a huge hassle, constantly being transferred with no luck. But with Assurant it felt like I wasn’t jumping through any hoops also the speed in which the replacement phone was sent out. Great customer service. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

I was not sure how to file a claim, I filed the claim online but used my phone number that the account is under but I should have used the actual number for the device I was filing a claim for. The agent helped me with my claim. It was approved right away and I received the replacement device fast and enjoying it. Thanks!

I was mugged and knocked out, they took everything I had on me...debit cards, id, social security card, phone and charger. I was satisfied with the time it took to get my replacement phone but when I asked for a replacement charger I was told they had none in stock and I would have to get my own charger out of pocket. This is ridiculous. Why do I have the insurance if they can't replace everything that needs replaced. In my opinion, this is bad business and I am not happy.

From the phone being on back order and me having to call 4 times to figure out what the delay was to the refurbished phone that I received OVERHEATING out of the box and having to go again without a phone this has been an mess...One call resolution should be the objective whenever possible and have to send a phone back to process an exchange for faulty equipment y’all sent me is unacceptable. To charge someone for a device on delay, without even notifying them is bad business..I would not recommend y’all and if had another option, I would take it.

I went to the store upon learning that my phone was lost/misplaced. They put me in touch right away with the Assurant representative. The wait for a representative was not long. She, Freddie {sp?} was clear, concise and friendly. We went through the questions and everything required. She might have told me how long the process was going to take; that is very helpful -- to gauge time and necessary waiting time, etc. I appreciated her serious attention to my issue. If used phones are tested and verified by Assurant, why am I getting a garage phone that does not work? Assurant is quick to take my monthly payment but refuses to confirm a replacement phone does work properly. This issue is the cause of poor management and leadership at its highest level. A simple task with management doing a final verification is that simple or delegate someone of that area. Upper management still has to make sure procedures and policies are followed.

Bought thinking it would cover damage to my phone, after years of paying monthly for insurance, I needed it, they wanted $175 for a remanufactured phone, it was sent to me with no charger and battery dead?? Insurance!! I cancelled my insurance and went and bought a new phone for $30 and although it was a different brand, it fit all my old chargers, the insurance replacement didn't work with anything but their own charger (that they don't send with the phone). Pure fraudulent insurance program! In my opinion!

I completed a damage device claim form online with Assurant. My telephone was damaged when it fell face down on the concrete in the rain. The face was damaged and I could not dial out because some of the number keys weren't working. My completing the claim form was user friendly.

I broke my phone screen. I pay 15 dollars a month for the "privilege" to spend $100 for a refurbished phone, that doesn't work properly. Chrome lags after being updated, the battery lasts less than 12 hours, and the auto adjusting screen brightness fluctuates way too much, using even more battery. I had none of these issues with the new-in-box phone I purchased from T-Mobile directly.
I understand that you reserve the right to replace phones with refurbished phones, and I knew that going in. I just hoped I would get a new phone for the price tag. I don't plan on ever using this insurance again and just wait the 3 months until I can upgrade my phone to a brand new one. Very unfortunate experience, and a letdown for the monthly and deductible that is charged. I am unsatisfied.

When I received my new phone the camera was cracked. It is a very small crack that I didn't notice right away. I also do not have a return label to send my old phone back. When I called I was told I would receive a new shipping label within 24 hrs (I am trying to sent the phone back on my only day off) and that I would have to file a new claim and pay a 100$ deductible to replace the new broken phone. I will never deal with this company again.

Thank you! As soon as I contacted T-Mobile to shut down my stolen phone a notice showed that I could pay. The deductible and a new phone was overnighted. Wow that was fast! Feel bad about what I lost with last phone, but sure glad I didn't have to pay full price for a new one.

In the contract that was given to me by a sales associate in T-mobile, it states that it will be a 100 dollar fee for a replacement phone. Once input card information it bumps up to 175. I call customer service and no one could tell me why it says one thing in the contact and charge a greater amount at the end. This is not right. May I get a refund of 75?

I had issues with the warranty service offered through T-Mobile before and was upset with the outcome. I recently had my Galaxy s7 replaced and Assurant sent me the Note 10 as the replacement and I couldn't be happier, I did pay a 100 dollar deductible but phone came in 2 or 3 days, sent in the old phone via USPS and have had no issues at all. 5 * earned.

I had a bad experience with the pandemic of Covid 19 representative and manager did not want to work things out of maybe lowering or helping me with my deductible and weren't willing to help me out so I had to fully pay 250 dollars for a replacement. Very very sad that they couldn't understand my situation and didn't even care...

Horrible experience. I received a device 9 days after I filed a claim. It wasnt the original one I claimed and the back of the device has print that is illegible as well as the general condition of the "refurb" device. Sending it back and planning on canceling insurance altogether because of the lack of service from the company.

Took over a month to get claim approved because the address on my claim didn’t match the one on my US Cellular account, I moved and forgot I hadn’t changed it, never got a phone call or email saying why I wasn’t approved, had to call three times before someone could actually help. I understand they want to verify the that it was actually me making the claim, but I went into the us cellular store in person and they verified who I was, don’t understand why no one from Assurant could call or send me an email as to why it wasn’t approved when they had all the necessary info to reach me.

I stayed on the phone a good 45 min getting transferred to different people. The last person they transferred me to was excellent. Got what I wanted done. I thank her so much, you all need to get better phones. The service is great. The phones suck. Can't hear on them unless you put on speaker. Have had trouble with all phones I purchased from you all. My phone quit sending sound a month after a year. I submitted my claim and you said it had passed its expiration even though we had insurance on said phone. It took 3 trips 20 miles one way to the US Cellular dealership to resolve this problem. Upon solving the problem FedEx delivered the new phone to a house 10 miles away and I didn't receive the phone till 3 days before I was to return the broke one. I drove 10 miles to deliver the phone to a FedEx receiving station to find out that the website was down and I could not send it. I then called your company and talked to a nice man that extended the return phone. It has been a nightmare.

I was waited for my device and received defective one. Than immediately returned it for perfect one but since than customer care was start lying with me that everyday I called they said it’s shipped you will get it today. But no they lied. The screen was damaged after a very short fall, like 14 inches, to concrete. Assurant said to take it to CPR in downtown Denver, which I did. Andrew did the the work and put a protection cover on screen. Now it works well again. Thanks Andrew.

My claim was easy to make and the entire experience went smoothly. That being said the monthly rate with TMOBILE has increased for the 2nd time in a year and has now reached a point where it is almost $20 per month to have the coverage. Although I value having insurance the cost now outweighs the value of having coverage and I plan on discontinuing my coverage.

I have been with T Mobile for some time and I have paid my insurance many times and the one time I need to use it I pay my $100 deductible to only receive a damaged device and then I'm told I need to return the new damaged device before my orginal broken device instead of letting me temporarily use the new damaged device which worked compared to my old device. I use my phone for personal and business reasons. I'm Very disappointed.

I deeply regret having Assurant as my insurance carrier for my phone. Imagine each month you are paying for service and when it comes time to use it the insurance company sends you a phone that doesn't function correctly. Shaking my head. I wish I never have to use their services again. Terrible.

At first, the customer service tried to help me out, and after T-mobile agent hand out, she put me on hold for some minutes, and then she told me that she will decline my claim and I have to speak with T-mobile and if they can resolve the problem.

I filed a claim to have my coral blue Samsung S9+ phone replaced and I was sent a purple phone. I called back to have the correct color phone sent to me and was told that the color was not part of the insurance and that whatever the warehouse has, that's what will be sent. I was never notified of this during the initial claim filing. The customer service rep would not transfer me to a supervisor, claiming there was no supervisor working. I asked repeatedly. Now, I am stuck with a purple phone, oh, did I mention, I'm a man! I will not be continuing my insurance plan with this company!

Purchased replacement phone through my insurance. However Assurant forgot to put the mailing address on the shipping info. By the time I caught this, UPS shipped it out and sent it back to one of their distribution stores 30 miles away from us. It was an inconvenience in fuel and time to travel all the way there only to be told by UPS that their store was closed until further notice. I tried to explain this to Assurant and they replied it still needed to be shipped back within 10 days. I felt that they should have had more understanding mainly due to the fact that it was their fault to begin with. Either way, I was able to get my phone several days later and send back the other phone. I just felt, overall, this could have been handled better.

I disputed the phone I received because it has less memory than my phone. The woman I spoke to did not tell me her name. She told me to return the phone for a refund of my deductible & get an upgrade. I told her that I was not financially able to get into a payment plan. I've been paying My premium every month for several years with no claims. For what? So that I can be forced into an upgrade instead of a properly processed claim that will benefit me, the consumer. I feel Assurant has let me down.

My husband left his phone on the boat trailer and didn't realize it until after we had driven a few miles, we went back to find it then watched it get run over by a pickup truck, I wasn't too worried because I knew I had insurance. I filled in the form online at 6:30 on Monday evening thinking it will take a day to process but the new phone was at the house when my husband got home from work at 3:45 the next day. We couldn't believe it! In less than 24 hours he had his new phone. It looked like it was brand new and packaged well. Thank You Assurant for your speedy service, I am very satisfied with the whole process and wouldn't hesitate buying coverage again on future devices.

There was an issue at the beginning but your agent quickly identified the problem and corrected it. My claim was declined and the issue was with dates from previous phones I had purchased. It took a couple extra days to verify but the new phone has arrived. I had a good telephone conversation experience but the device received was "Refurbished" and Metro was unable to reactivate it correctly. In order to talk the phone must be on speaker. Will insurance coverage I expected a "New" cellphone not what was received.

Claim # **. I paid for Assurant Protection insurance for YEARS. When the internal battery in my Samsung S8+ swelled up and cracked the case and broke the back open, Assurant rated that to be accidental damage. Assurant refused to send a replacement phone until I paid $99 accidental damage fee that was caused by hardware malfunction. Instead of honoring the protection contract, Assurant extorted me out of $99.

The truth is that the experience was terrible, bad from the beginning to the end, very bad, very poor attention to the public, with too many errors or horrors to charge any problems, they sent me a replacement equipment that was not in condition, when I called to get it Replaced again by one in good condition, the representative of bad manners asked me to return the equipment.... Hello - I would like to give you a better rating but I never received the charging cable for my new device, so I don't consider this transaction complete. I understand you do not usually ship with a new phone, but I called and was told one would be shipped. As of today (6-26) I still have not received the charging cable.

My iPhone 6s after 5 years hit the parking lot pavement and shattered the screen. I was able to get a new phone exactly the same one within 48-72hrs. I did have to pay a $99 deductible. I also had to buy a new rubber case and new charger. It would be nice if the length of time I was able to keep my original phone was taken into consideration as an incentive in future situations. Anyway, I’m glad I have a new working phone. It still have sound issues so maybe I’ll need to upgrade it all together sometime down the line.

It took us 5 tries to get them to race the phone when if it had been done within the 1st 6 months we would not have had to pay 100 to replace it. We purchased Gorilla Glass screen protector and protective phone case when phone was purchased but it still took us till the 6th trip into the store for them to admit something was wrong. We should have not been charged.

I filled out the Assurant claim and my phone was delivered the next day. I'm extremely satisfied with the ease of replacement and customer service received. The sending of the phone back to assurant was a bit sketchy. The envelope provided did not have much padding, so I used the box that the new one came in to send the old one back.

I had a cracked screen on the Google Pixel 4XL. My receipt of the new device was over a week. I called in to receive a status update and the supervisor LeeAnn was unable to answer my question, she told me that she would call me back that day and she did. I was impressed that she called me back that day and gave me a realistic time frame to receive the phone since it was on backorder. I submitted my claim on 6/16/2020 and I received my phone on 6/23/2020.

It was absolutely horrible. I received a defective phone and you guys made me go through Apple warranty and they couldn’t fix it over the phone so I had to send my device to them (the defective device you guys sent me). So I’m still using my broken phone which is ridiculous since I pay for insurance monthly and had to pay $175 for a phone replacement and it comes broken. Won’t take a sim. So now I might have to wait 2 weeks for my phone to either be fixed or a replacement. You guys should have sent the customer (me) a new device and went through Apple yourself.

My claim was approved on June 15, 2020. I constantly called every day because I never received a tracking number, I again spoke with someone on June 23 and at that time they shipped a package out with my replacement phone and I received on June 24. That is not a 24 hour turnaround after the claim is approved. The phone with shipped FedEx which I know they are working every day because my husband works for FedEx so I do not understand why I had to wait over a week for a replacement phone.

It was horrible it took more than 10 days to get a replacement even though they said it was going to get replaced in 24 hours. It took forever, it's not worth to pay the price they charge each month. On top you got to pay a deduction fee, which is cheaper to go a pay at a place where they replace a screen.

I was told by Metro that with my insurance I would get a new phone instead you sent me last year's model and it was refurbished and it has problems and now I have to file another claim to get another phone which is probably refurbished and you guys got a nice scam going that's like me returning a steak that was not cooked properly and then you send me out some chicken instead. It's not right.
Bruce - devices are generally reconditioned of like type and quality. The replacement device for Metro consumers comes with a 180-day warranty or the original manufacturer’s warranty; the longer term applies. If you are experiencing an issue with it, please report it immediately.

Assurant has the worst customer service. After approving my claim June 7, 2020 it took them 3 days to send out a replacement phone. After about I received the phone it was damaged so I had a send it back. This took 2 days for a packing slip to be emailed. They sent me out another replacement phone. I received it on June 22, 2020. Been with a phone for 2 weeks. Managers say they have no way to compensate us for inconvenience. Not even a discount on the $99 deductible. They say everything's done next day mail, that's a lie. They want the "we're sorry" to fix everything.

The only negative thing I can say is it took a month to process. Of course, we have to take into consideration the situation we're in. Everybody is re-opening in phases. Other than that, everything went great. Customer service was very helpful in tracking my order. She was also very pleasant to work with. I've had Assurant insurance on all of my devices and if you're not very graceful with your phone... I highly recommend it.

On June 11, I filed a claim for my phone due to water damage. Received a replacement phone on 6/13 with a wrong phone number registered to the SIM card. Called again to report the issue and was promised a different phone with the correct number. On 6/16, I got, again, another replacement phone, this one with cosmetic damages and, AGAIN, ANOTHER WRONG NUMBER! I sent the water damaged phone and the cosmetically damaged phone back on 6/18 to, YET AGAIN, keep waiting for a new phone with the correct number. How hard does it have to be to get the right item in the first place? Really dissatisfied with Assurant and the associates behind the scenes who refuse to double check their work and provide a better service to their customers. It should not have to take a customer over 13 days to get their phone! You guys definitely screwed up.

The process of exchanging phones was pretty easy. The problem I have is that the phone that was sent to me as a replacement will not charge very easily. I can't get over a 50% charge leaving it on the charger overnight. Called the US Cellular office but they have not called me back.

I was told I had a blue phone and I didn't and I corrected the CSR and then they still sent me a blue phone. I wanted a black phone like I originally had. Then the new CSR told me that they couldn't do anything about that even though their original CSR had put the information in wrong and offered no additional help. If I have to pay a fee for this service and a deductible then I should get an exact replacement...not something "kind of like" what I am replacing.

Whatever you do, do not purchase this insurance. Especially if you are buying it for a phone you're getting from Amazon. They absolutely 100% will not cover any phone bought from amazon. In order to make a claim, you must have the IMEI number printed on your original receipt. Amazon does not do this. Never have. So, not only is Assurant customer service extremely rude and not at all understanding, they will take your money knowing full well they can never process any claim you make. I spent 5+ hours on probably 10 phone calls before I figured out how this scheme works. Honestly there should be a class action lawsuit by anyone who has ever bought this product. I cant speak for any other sellers, but this is most definitely the case for any amazon bought phone. Please heed my warning. Luckily for me, amazon is a stand up company and they are sending me a new phone. I managed to get Assurant to refund my original premium of $99.

Sent a broken phone. Requested another and was told I would have to wait for the new one while the other was in transit. I explained I have a disability and the phone is actually my LIFEline.
