I called the insurance company to follow up on my claim! My phone was set to arrive today but when I contacted them all they would tell me is they made a mistake and I should expect it in another 4 day from now! Never tried to contact me about the delay or anything! -1 STAR.

A broken phone is a traumatic experience. Assurant made it not so bad. My phone was broken mid afternoon on a Wednesday, I filed my claim early that evening, and was quickly approved. By mid afternoon on Thursday, I had a replacement device in hand. I couldn't be happier with the outcome, and Assurant's performance.

The device I received works very well and is in brand new condition. The only critique I have is I had my previous phone for several years so I received an upgrade a matching charger would have been helpful.

The process is not efficient. First received non functional replacement and still in process of figuring out how I'm going to ship back in order to get one that works. Not everybody has label printing capabilities therefore the process is Inefficient and a real pain considering the premiums customers pay.

My son's phone cracked and was told because I pay extra for Apple Care to go through apple which I tried to scheduled and went to my appointment where I was told because he has a red iPhone XR that they couldn't fix it or replace it and if they ordered it I would have to give them his phone and would be without a phone for a min of 2 weeks so they referred me to apple customer service where they told me in order to get my phone replaced quicker which would be 3 business days I would have to pay the full price (over 1000) and once they received my damaged device so I called Assurant and they were way nicer than apple. They took less than 10 min to order me a new phone and made sure I understood everything and got the phone the next day! Way to step up Assurant!!

I called for a replacement phone 7-21-20 & was told I'd have it the next day but it took an entire WEEK! I was inconvenienced for an entire week & no one knew when I would receive my replacement phone! I don't think that it's fair that your company takes my money monthly on top of the deductible being taken right out of my account & I still had to wait a Week. I lost all kinds of business deals & I can not make that money back up because I had no phone to call my customers or even answer the phone for them!!
I think that it's NOT FAIR what I endured because my bills get paid & I shouldn't have had to wait that long for a phone when your company doesn't wait for payments!! Fair is Fair & your company is TERRIBLE for what I endured last week with your service!! Then I didn't receive my phone until almost 10pm at night which is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! I'm going to have to give y'all a 2 Thumbs Down because I was HIGHLY UNSATISFIED WITH Your Service!!

I was a little leary at first. I located a number and was given another number by someone who gave me another number. However, once I reached Samsung Premium Care the replacement process was quick and easy!

I spent over 10 hours back and forwards between T-Mobile and Assurant trying to resolve my claim. They could not access my account because of PIN number and last 4 digits of my social. It was a disaster. 3 weeks it took. In the mean time I had to purchase a new phone.

I love this insurance company! Customer name is amazing! My device arrived within 24 hours, as promised, and the entire process was made incredibly easy thanks to the employee who dealt with my claim! The step by step process was seamless, from the description of loss to the deductible payment, verifying account information, to promptly receiving my new device the next day, even switching from the broken device to the new one was super easy! They even send you a prepaid shipping envelope that easily seals to return the damaged device (if applicable).

The rebuilt phone was terrible. We had to call to have a replacement send. With what is going on there is no need for us to have to return the phone as we paid $99 to replace it. This is the 3 or 4 time we have to have the same phone replaced. Very bad.

Very helpful and quick customer service. The replacement of my device was surprisingly fast. They were very thorough and clear in the process though they have very busy lines. I recommend anyone to take Assurant services because they are reliable and fast.

Every time I've dealt with Assurant it's been nothing but a problem. They send out defective replacement phones. They also underbid whatever "you have given on upgraded upgrading phones. Assurant is the reason why I have subsequently canceled service with T-Mobile because not only am I out a $100 for a deposit deductible but I'm also out of foam and I never received one. May still have it and refused to send it. We are going to small claims court.

I can honestly say that I was going to cancel my phone insurance before my incident. Luckily I didn’t! I thought something like this would never happen to me but it did. That’s why they call them accidents. I applied for my claim online and within 3 days, I had my replacement phone. I’m super excited!

Filed claim on iPhone with unresponsive touchscreen. Took two days to get acknowledgment/approval email saying "usually 24hrs" time for 'expedited' mailing of replacement. Another two days (52 hours) later, no word, no phone. Reached out via website's "Contact Us" page but reCAPTCHA function conveniently not working. Live Chatted with rep who had no answers (replacement delayed for unspecified reasons). Rep made it clear to expect no further communication until phone ships (in an unknown amount of time, as much as three weeks). Extremely frustrating to be without a device for what could extend to a month with no real communication or assurance from Assurant! Guess I could buy a new phone but, why have the insurance then? Will not purchase, or pay monthly, for this "insurance" on any future phone. Not reliable!!

Extremely fast shipment of my replacement. AMAZING! I didn't get the color I had previously which was a bummer, but I can't complain due to the speed of replacement arriving, literally less than 24 hrs I rec'd my replacement from when I placed my order! Extremely grateful for that!

While my service was good and quick receipt of cell my phone Assurant cost of replacing cell phone is highly excessive and should be lowered in general and also take into consideration of age of phone in cost of phone replacement.

I was helped by text message by "Karen". She was of great help and knew what she was doing. Quick response was given by her. My claim was "wrong" since I have the Galaxy Note 10+ Aura Glow and received the Aura Black but she said that when a claim is made not always would you get the exact same color of your claim.
While we strive to match the color, it isn’t guaranteed. So happy to hear you had a great customer service experience!

First of all when I made a claim the first time I told them everything about the phone; iPhone 6, IMEI, GB? And I was declined of my claim. Waited 3 months and are applied again and was denied again. This time I was not going to take NO for an answer after all I am paying an insurance for this phone. Customer service figured that what they put for my GB was incorrect and that she would put the right one to get process and verify my contact number on the system and that was wrong as well. I corrected her and she updated it to your system and yet when I got my replacement, GUESS WHAT! On the receipt my contact number was still wrong.

I've been a T-Mobile customer for 10+ years and always had used Assurant multiple times in the past years. When I contacted T-Mobile and started my claim I was quoted 99 for the replacement of my phone since I had cracked my screen. When I proceeded with your filing the info on your guys side the fee was $249 not the $99 I was quoted and after 4 phone calls to T-Mobile and Assurant they was just sending me back and forth with no resolution.
They was just saying that it's their issues for under charging and T-Mobile saying it shouldn't be $250 and then your employee made a remark telling me that it's because you have the cheap insurance and should of gotten the higher end one, what kind of customer service is this, I could of just paid $150 elsewhere to get the screen replace. Very unprofessional and you guys and T-Mobile lack communication every single agent from T-Mobile say it should of been 99 and you guys 250 even when we all 3 where talking and still no resolution from either company.

Everything was smooth, except it took a while to actually receive my phone, delaying the return of my original phone. I have received my first warning about you not receiving my phone, however it is in transit. I would recommend changing the receival date to 14 days from when the phone arrived.

I have been Customer with T-Mobile and have insurance with Assurant for last 5 or more years. This incident happen after a long and I see I had to pay $250 rather than $175.00. Being loyal customer this charge should have been honored as $175.

Phone would not accept the charging cord and the screen was cracked. A replacement phone was sent promptly. Had lots of trouble with electronic system but once I reached a person it went very well and they were very helpful.

I would have given a 5 but I was told to drop the old phone at the Post office and it would be no charge, I was told No. I would have to wrap it up, address to the company and pay 8.45 for delivery.

Dropped the phone. Called in. Two days later we had a new phone. I think the service was great. The phone was just like the one he had before. I am happy. He should be happy. He can talk and text and don't have to borrow my phone.

We had lost our phone to the lake while boating on a Saturday. I filed an online claim while at the lake. I followed up on Monday to make sure the claim was processed. We had our replacement phone on Tuesday!!! We were without the phone for only Sunday and Monday. Thank you!!!

I cannot rate or give a good review because the phone I received don't work properly. It keeps going off and it's been 3 days. I've been phoneless because of that and being deaf without a phone it gets complicated to be doing my errands. I'm not pleased with the service provided.

Claims can be made easily, and the shipment time for a new device is 24-48 hrs., making it convenient for customers who need their cellphones for business and leisure. Ok so I paid 280 dollars for a replacement that doesn't work. Since the day I got it I've been having problems with it and now it turned off and it's been like that for 2 days. When I called they said I had to take it to Apple Care. I'm very stressed out with everything.

Satisfactory experience. The the representative was very help. There was a language barrier that was troubling. I had to repeat much concerns several times to ensure she understood the problem. I finally just agreed with what she was able to understand. The final out come was successful.

The first time I called I saw it on hold for 45 minutes before the line was answered. The woman who answered took my call back number and then promptly hung up on me and never called me back. When I call back this month after trying to decide whether or not to replace my phone through warranty or new purchase I have the best customer service experience possible. Unfortunately when I was prompted to leave my feedback at the end of the call the automated system also hung up on me. However, the gal who helped me was not only kind and professional, but extremely competent and customer Centric.
Due to an issue with my phone showing the correct tier she had to get two of her supervisors involved and call T-Mobile twice, but remained on the line with me the entire time and was completely committed to getting the issue resolved. As a person who manages call centers I offered a job if she ever moved to my area. I was very pleased! I now have my phone replacement and 100% satisfied.

My claim didn't go through. Only after a week it did. Then I waited for another 4 to 5 business days and nothing. I called Assurant and they didn't give me any information about the tracking number. When I did finally receive the phone, I got a Note 9 in a Purple color rather than a Black Note 8. I have no complaints about having a newer phone but I was not advised that I was going to get a different phone from Assurant. I had bought a screen protector along with a case for the Note 8 but now I have to return both products back to Amazon.

It took a week to file a claim. The T-Mobile system takes 3 days to sync with Assurant. Assurant still had issues even after the 3days unless I gave the personal info that they did not need to file a claim.

The rest of my reconditioned phone works fine, but it refuses to accept my micro SD card (stating that it can't format it) even though it's ONLY ever been formatted to an LG k40. This means all my photos are gone to my phone, and I'm having an impossible time getting MetroPCS to fix the problem. Hopefully your company will make this right, otherwise the replacement plan is beyond useless.

I have had to replace the phone I have three times and not one came with a charger like before...The old one I had no longer works either. I have also requested a new device after getting defective replacements (like the one I just got) and no other comparable options offered.

Terrible insurance when it comes to reimbursement. Takes over a month for refund. When they quote you 10 business days only after they scan in the device you are returning. Takes over two weeks to scan in returned device then that’s when you have to call to follow up and check status constantly. Can’t trust for them to do their job since they didn’t initiate the actual reimbursement until you call them, otherwise not receiving reimbursement.

I was told replacement would be close to or similar to my old phone. This phone worse quality, there's barely anything I can do with it. I am beyond frustrated with this phone. It's smaller, I. And I feel a lil this phone is wayyyy cheaper than my other phone. If you're gonna send cheap at least make sure it isn't **. That last sentence. This phone can't even type Tiffany lion. mon.

On Saturday 07/25/20, my tablet broke. I filed a claim on that date. The next day Sunday 07/26, Assurant emailed me telling me they needed my Tmobile pass code, which I sent. On Monday 07/27, Assurant responded that they still could not process the claim and to call them. I could not get past their opening menu to talk to a live human. I called Tmobile and explained the situation, and even Tmobile could not get through. As of today, Tuesday the 28th, the status of the claim has not been updated and Assurant has been completely unresponsive to emails and inaccessible by phone.
I really don't think it's asking too much for someone to simply say they are backed up and are working to resolve the situation if that's the case. That I could have understood. If I did my job like this, I wouldn't have one for long. I am having to cancel the line since I cannot use it and now I have to pay for the unusable tablet. I just hope nothing happens to any of my other devices.

To start my past experiences have been great. This time however has NOT been. New phone is smaller, shorter battery life and get VERY HOT. Next it has trouble with bluetooth calling AND wifi connection.

We ended up finding the lost phone before the new one arrived, it had already shipped though. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very nice & helpful, she explained everything thoroughly. We were able to return the replacement phone. Waiting for the money to be credited back to my account.

I was very disappointed. Got my new phone. Not only was it the wrong color but once I activated it the phone went to a black screen and never came on then I called reported it to ASSURANT and they sent me out another replacement and this one is very hot to the touch and very hot to my face. This is ridiculous. I’m so mad I didn’t even call them back and the sad thing is they charged me 100.00 for a phone that doesn’t even value 100.00 anymore. On top of its doesn’t even work with the new TMobile network so why charge me for something that doesn’t even work anymore instead of just upgrading me? I’ve been with Tmobile for 14 years and I’m beyond pissed at this moment.

Well he's issue I had to send two phones back because both of the phones a replacement what is defective which left me out of a phone for about a week and a half because I had to send it back twice so I would like to get a phone that's not defective. I dropped my phone into a nearby lake. A new phone was delivered to me the day after filing my claim. It was a very simple process, which honestly I did not expect. I used the automated phone service and in about ten minutes the claim was complete.

Took 7 days for me to receive my replacement. Would have taken much longer if I didn't call Assurant 5 days or so after making my claim to see what was taking so long. I had to pay my deductible two times. The second time was 99 dollars. The first time was 49. Dunno why it was more.

So I returned the package back to you over a month ago and still have not received anything stating that it was received and have not received the $149 deductible. Paid for claim Thursday morning and I called during lunch to see if my payment was received and the operator said she saw it in the system and pushed it through. Your site says claims on Thursday by 8pm will be overnighted for Friday and Friday will be delivered Monday...but it shows that the payment was posted Friday and a label was created Friday night at 932 pm... How if the operator pushed it through Thursday and told me it posted? On top of that I have a sick girlfriend in quarantine with our son whom I couldn't get ahold of due to my phone not being overnighted Thursday night like the site said it would.

I am disappointed with the other device sent as a replacement. I would like my Note 9 replaced with a Note 9. The other item sent does not have expandable (SD) slot to transfer my files, this is very inconvenient. The Note 10 is missing the headphone jack also. The Note 10 screen is actually smaller than my Note 9. Please correct this error.

It took exactly 7 days to get my replacement phone. Cracked the screen and phone was half unresponsive. I run my business through my phone so it is extremely essential. Was told that I was eligible to just get the screen replaced (without giving me the option to just replace it) so they sent me to CPR to perform the service..Very long story short they couldn't fix it. I called again to just get it replaced. They told me that now I had to wait 3 days because the system had to change from repair to replacement and that's business days. And it all started on a Friday morning. Every time I talked to someone I was told something different. And given a different reason for the delay. (Mostly opposite of what they just told me the last time I talked to them) Finally after 6 days with a broken phone I talked to someone who got me satisfaction and received my phone the next day. ADVICE.: Don't pick the repair option. Just get it replaced. It will be much faster.

At first my experience was horrible. I keeped getting disconnected when talking to reps and they didn't even call back. Until i got connected with richard he really showed me he cared and made sure I understood things I didn't understand. Didn't once feel frustrated. Even offered for me to talk to a senior rep that blew my mind. I was WOW! The senior rep was also very nice and made sure he got everything correct and it was a misunderstanding. Phone screen went black within 2 weeks and no one want to resolve my issues.. The phone have no power after charging for three hours...Went to Best Buy to troubleshoot and they could not fix the phone.

Your sales person was very good but I feel that your deductible is a rip off. I could get it fixed for an amount close to the deductible. Also you provide refurbished models even if the original phone is fairly new. Just so you know, due to your exorbitant pricing and used phones as replacements. I will never buy your insurance again.

I ordered a replacement phone 07/27/20. UPS delivered it but the package was stolen from my porch. I went into UPS Thursday 07/23/20. I showed Jason ** the footage from my security camera. He told me he would be getting in touch with Assurant to let them know it was a theft. I also have a police report with Hazel ** police IR#**. I have to send them my ID again when I already did it the first time then I have to wait 24 hours for it to be approved when I told all I had to do was send my ID, made my deposit and my phone will be shipped but I had to take off work and what it did make the deposit which have me off work for maybe 3 to 4 days until my new device came which is very unprofessional.

I received excellent service from the two different telephone representatives that I spoke with and that portion of my claim was handled very well. When I went to return the new phone, the email instructions that I received to print a return label directed me to a location on the website that does not exist. At that point, I chose to use the "chat" feature on the website and did not receive good customer service at all. The rep had no clue what/why I was asking because it took her far too long into the conversation to let me know that she had not read my claim because she was unable to access it without my permission/passcode information.
Too much time was wasted because she assumed that she knew what I was asking. If we had started by her telling me that she did not read my claim, we could have started there and the chat would have lasted less than 10 minutes, rather than the 30+ minutes that it actually took. Because of the lack of communication between the department responsible for the website and those that send out emails directing people to locations that have not been implemented on said website, my return took a couple of extra days, and I am still waiting for the refund to be credited to my account.

The replacement phone was received very quickly. The instructions said I needed a tool to open the SIM card pocket. Then just put my card in the new phone and I would be good to go. The tool wasn't included with the new phone so I had to go to the local Tmobile store for help. They got it open, transferred my card and said I was good to go. It took an hour to transfer all my photos, contacts, etc. It didn't transfer my apps so, I'm still signing up for all those again. Better instructions on what to expect and to do would be helpful.

Absolutely despicable. Just pull my call and you’ll understand. First the device is the wrong color then it’s defective then you won’t send a new one til you get the old one leaving me without a phone for a week. Your policy is crap and it needs to be adjusted. I shouldn’t have had to go through T Mobile to get the phone taken care of when you are their insurance. You should be capable of making the orders and ensuring a quality device before it is sent out. You did not. Tmobile had to pick up the pieces you left cause I was about to switch carriers because of you! I wouldn’t recommend you to anyone based off my experience. Tmobile is better going with Asurion.

Very dissatisfied with Assurant. I have insurance for the phone which was lost and my claim was first approved and then later was denied for “undisclosed reason”. I spent hours on the phone with Assurant in vain. What is the point of paying and having insurance if Assurant will just deny your claim and not bother to explain why?! I already wrote a letter to the corporate office in Wayne!

I recently lost my phone and decided to make a claim with my insurance to get a new phone. Shipping was fast but as soon as I tried to call and activate my phone the problems arrived. They told me the phone could not be activated cause it was in inventory status. They sent me out another replacement phone which had the same exact issue. I have spent hours on the phone a day. Spoke to several managers from both Assurant and Metro PCs. It's been almost 2 weeks and I still don't have a phone. This is the worst experience. I was told few days ago I would receive a phone call about how to resolve this issue. I'm going to wait it out and see if they can fix it. Customers spend a lot of money on phones and I have done the same. I might have to look out for another phone company and I will no longer use the insurance company Assurant.

I absolutely love Assurant. My daughter is 13 and so far this year has lost or broken 3 phones. Assurant was so awesome and replaced every one of them with no problem at all. We called because our teenager broke his phone. We called T-Mobile and then were transferred to a customer service rep with Assurant to aid in a replacement. The customer service was quick and efficient. We were able to get back to normal within 24 hours.

I received a letter dated July 8, 2020 that Assurant never received my damaged phone. I returned the phone and received confirmation of this on July 5. I was once charged for a phone by T Mobile and I had to fight to get my money back as I did return it but you stated I did not. I hope this is not happening to me again.,

The customer service reps who helped me file the claim did not complete the process so this delayed the approval. Once my phone was eventually shipped over 1 week later, I had issues tracking it. I was trying to be patient because I know things during COVID-19 pandemic can take longer. When I notified Assurant I had not received the phone in almost 2 weeks, I was told an investigation would be opened that would take an additional 10 days! UPS verified the package was lost and to call Assurant for a replacement but when I did, I was told that although they could see UPS had confirmed the lost package, I could not get shipped a replacement. I have yet to receive a replacement and have cut my finger numerous times on my shattered screen in the meantime. I am incredibly dissatisfied with this entire process!

The claim process had two catastrophic failures and you sent the wrong color phone. FAILURE #1 The web interface led my wife and I to believe the claim was processed and replacement phone was on its way. The payment information was provided and indicated it was processed. An email was received indicating that the claim was approved, etc. But your web interface failed to actually process the payment, leaving the claim in limbo.
FAILURE #2 When contacting Assurant about the status and discovering your site failed to capture the payment, the representative sent phone to the wrong address, causing me to have to take three days off, a rental car and two hotel rooms to drive 700 miles to get the phone. It would have been more cost effective to just get a new phone.

Lost phone Monday. Went to T-Mobile Tues., thought I'd get a replacement or at least a "loaner". They told me I had to file a claim with Assurant. Filed claim Tues., and was approved. Assurant website said if claim approved Mon.-Thurs. before 8 PM, DELIVERY DATE is NEXT DAY. I then tracked my claim online on Wed., and they said delivery date was FRIDAY! The replacement was shipped via UPS, which is not typically NEXT DAY DELIVERY. Should have sent it FedEx. I had to borrow my wife's phone for hours a day, and swap SIM cards, in order to work my food delivery service. If they say NEXT DAY, they should get it there NEXT DAY!

There was never an indication when I submitted my claim to be processed that my replacement device would be on back order. Even when log in on the website to view your claim, there is no indication. I had noticed there was no signs of my phone have been shipped which was a red flag for me, and caused me to call in to Assurant. I had the great displeasure of speaking with a very rude, English (British) gentleman whom placed the blame on me. He stated, had I filed my claim earlier than when I did, my phone wouldn't be on back order and that two people who were before me, got the last ones they had. I had to wait several days to receive my phone, which is definitely way longer than expected. Would NOT recommend. Terrible customer service, LACK of NOTIFICATION until your device ships of what is going on, and TERRIBLE turn around time.

You sent me a replacement phone with a feminine color scheme rose gold/light blue. WTF!!! I was never given a choice on this matter.. I can't believe I pay for this garbage level of service. On 7/6/20 I contacted Apple because I forgot my password and I did not know my Apple ID. I filed an insurance claim through Assurant in January; I had no idea what it would take to get a receipt showing proof I paid the $99.00 and the new IMEI# from Assurant. I spoke with all 3 companies (Assurant, Tmobile and Apple) on three-way call and the Apple agent advise what is needed to move forward and unlock my phone and also allow me to set up another Apple ID. Assurant sent me 3 receipts with the original IMEI# when I and an Apple agent specifically asked that the new IMEI# should appear on the receipts. I have spoke with several agents at Assurant, each time I called I had a Apple customer service agent on the phone. Apple agent requested a receipt showing I paid the $99.00 and the IMEI# for the phone Assurant sent me in January.
Long store short I have spoke with several agents at Assurant, I was provided 3 emails to my email with the original IMEI# (damaged phone) even though Apple and I specifically advise the agents what is needed to move forward and get my phone unlocked. I was told yes they can see the IMEI# which Assurant agent confirmed with an Apple agent over the phone but that was not sufficient for Apple and again advise Assurant that the IMEI# needed to be sent along with proof of purchase ($99.00). On 7/15/20 I spoke to a Assurant agent along with an Apple agent on three way, after going in circles explaining to the Assurant agent that Apple is needing proof of IMEI# and proof of purchase I was advise once again I would get a receipt. As on 7/22/20 I still do not have access to my phone. Please send me the IMEI# along with proof of purchase so I can send it over to Apple.
I have so much to say but I'm repeating myself. It has to be a way that Assurant agents are able to request to send out information instead of just confirming information with Apple. This has been very frustrating to be told yes I will send it, I got approval then I wait 2-3 days for an email from Assurant only to get an email showing the original IMEI# not the one Assurant sent me from the warehouse. Please HELP!!!!

I called and spoke to your representative and requested a replacement phone since mine was getting hot and restarting on its own. I was told it would be sent overnight since I called early enough in the day for that to happen. Instead of overnight, it took over a week and several calls to receive the replacement phone. This was a frustrating experience.
That was bad enough, however, the replacement phone sent to me was dented on 2 of the 4 corners and I had to send it back and get a new one. I also had to reinstall all of the applications. Extremely frustrating. This was a very bad experience and I have requested from Samsung to get a credit for the month of June. I've also canceled my insurance since I've decided to get a different phone.

Back in November 2019 I thought my phone had been stolen/lost and I made a claim. I was given a replacement which I paid almost $200. Months later I found my original phone hiding away in a travel bag I use. I called Both the Assurant team as well as my carrier to advise I had found the phone and would like to use it again as my current phone was cracked and started performing really bad and could no longer use it.
At first both parties said it shouldn’t be a problem then later I was told they could not Unblacklist it due to a 90 day policy. How can this be if I’m the original owner which can be verified by all parties involved and I’m advising I found my phone. I agree blacklisting helps protect the owners of the phone but it should be taken off that list if the original owner has found it! I was even willing to pay any fee reasonably to use the Phone again but they kept saying, "No sorry we can’t do anything." My only option is to use my insurance again pay another $200 for a refurbished phone which doesn’t work well ever once it’s been refurbished. I’m very frustrated and wondering why I ever signed up for insurance in the first place.

Phone lost/stolen June 24, filed claim June 25. Got email June 26 that it would take 2-3 business days to confirm my coverage. Did not hear back so sent contact form again. Got reply July 1 saying it will be another 48 hours to review and complete claim. No word since, filed multiple contact forms to no avail, filed complaints to FCC, Atty Generals of PA, etc. Never got an email saying claim is processed, etc. Had to buy a temporary phone to use since it is taking forever. Did not get phone until July 14. 20 DAYS it took without any updates or follow ups from Assurant.

The claim was approved quickly and the phone arrive next day but the phone I received has a problem charging, it takes a lot of time to fully charge. It is frustrating to pay $15 monthly for insurance, almost 100 dollar to replace your phone and received one with issues. I haven’t contact T-mobile to see what options do I have.

I made a claim and payment and 1 week later no update received. Called and was told the claim is processing awaiting coverage confirmation. Another week later no update or phone received. I called again and this time I was told the claim is processing and they received coverage confirmation but they had to check to see if Apple Care was active. 1 week later a new phone arrived. Then it took until Sunday 7/19/20 to get the new phone activated. Several attempts made prior to 7/19/20.

Hi. I got my phone and the process was easy and great but I dont think this battery is good. It could be the charger. It does not fast charge and my wife's phone charges faster then mines. It will be on 79% battery life and tells me it still takes 40 minutes. I am not sure if it's the cord given. Please call me to see what can be done.

Second replacement within a month. First damaged by roller skating over it. Started processing the second claim when I asked to speak to someone who had authority to waive the fee as the product was clearly defective. The initial phone was used underwater in Mexico and China. The current replacement was defective as it barely got wet~claim of up to 3’. Long story-Apple understood the issue and replaced it. The final blow was receiving a letter stating that I was ineligible for a replacement. Funny, T-Mobile shows my plan as current with no interruptions. So how can you deny my claim? Thankfully, Apple came through for me but if they hadn’t, I would be seriously upset and would contact BBB as well as your corporate offices. No justification poor customer service.

The device is awesome and works amazing, the upgrade is a plus. However, the color of the device is a bit feminine. The device replacement was for my husband (Robert), on the order it clearly specifies the name of a male. The account is under my name Rachel so I see where the pink colored phone could be sent thinking that the replacement was for a female. My husband bought a cover for it and is none the less happy with the product.

Upon filing my claim I was told I would have my replacement on Monday. After NOT receiving my phone I called and was routed to a call center in INDIA only to be told my replacement was on back order for 2 weeks and I had to wait. There was NOTHING they could do. I called my carrier T-Mobile and they called for me and were hung up upon by the representative. Worst experience ever! Would not recommend to anyone????

I have used Assurant in the past and received my phone replacement overnight. This time it took a week!!! They denied my claim twice. Every day when I would contact them, they would ask for 24 hours to process the claim. They couldn’t get it straight as to which phone we were replacing although we gave them the IMEI number since the beginning. It was a brutal process, but I give them 2 stars, because in the end we received the correct replacement!

I was on the phone for over 2 hours and hung up on multiple times while trying to speak to a manager. I spoke to three representatives and at no point was I given an acceptable answer. I had policy quoted to me and when I tried to state this policy back to the rep, the policy changed to ensure I would not receive a replacement phone. I am incredibly unsatisfied with my entire interaction with this company and will not recommend it to anyone moving forward.

I replaced three phones in two different orders. This company won't ship the third phone until the first two have been returned well. It's a Pandemic. I'm a Veteran with PTSD. When I pay monthly for insurance in case anything happens to phones on my account I expect to get phones replaced. I should not have to wait week and a half to have a phone replaced. This is ridiculous and what is the point of paying for the insurance. I have told everyone and will leave a review of how things happened and how y'all made me wait with no phone and no replacement for over a week. Even TMobile I made return my deductible and monthly insurance charge to my account because y'all are so ** up by not having phones. You're the ones who take care of broken phones not screw others!!

I sent in the request for my phone replacement and was told it would be coming the next day. A few days passed by and I didn't hear anything, so I had to reach out and I kept getting pushed in circles. No one could tell me a rough time-frame for when my phone would get in. It finally arrived and it wasn't the same color phone. I understand that it doesn't seem like a huge deal but the phone is $1000 and I pay monthly for insurance. I should be getting the service that I'm paying for and I should be getting the phone I paid for. I didn't reach back out because it was not very helpful before. I didn't want to deal with it.

I placed an insurance claim for a broken cellphone. The process was very easy online until I couldn't remember certain account information. I had to call my provider to get information so the claim was completed by phone. The rep was friendly and helpful and we received the replacement within 24 hours. Only negative comment is that for $18/mo and a $100 deductible I should receive a brand new phone rather than a reconditioned phone. Charge less per month and lower deductible if you are going to replace newer models with reconditioned phones.

My fingerprint reader stopped working all of a sudden. Initially it was classified as a warranty repair and Samsung wanted to me go to a store in another part of town. They didn't have an appointment for 2 weeks. Then I noticed a small crack and that ran across the screen, indicating it had actually been accidental damage. Unlike Samsung, my replacement was approved within 30 seconds and a new phone arrived 2 days later (It was the weekend.). It could not have been easier. Definitely an easy and efficient process.

It took a week to get a replacement phone and it was not a new phone. It was refurbished. For the amount of insurance I pay I do not think that I should have to pay an additional $350 deductible and then get a retooled phone rather than a new one. I was willing to accept that but the retooled phone was defective so I had to send it back. I tried calling Assurant three times and each time I was disconnected from the agent. By the third time, I started thinking it was no accident since no one called me back when we got disconnected. I must say that I feel victimized and I do not have a very good feeling about your company.

I filed a claim on a Thursday afternoon and thought I would get my phone on Friday/Sat morning like I Always did with Asurion (Verizon). Unbeknownst To me, there were still things that needed to be done before my claim was fully completed. However, The only email I got was one stating I had completed my claim and will be contacted with the shipping info once the device is sent out. I waited for 24hrs and didn’t hear anything from anyone. I had to call to figure out why my phone wasn’t shipped. The first person I call didn’t know anything; they directed me to T-Mobile to get some actual info. When I got transferred back the call ended, this was after I waited over 40min on the line to speak with a rep. I called again. Waited another 40mins to talk with a rep.
This time the guy tells me the response my phone wasn't shipped out was because “find my iPhone” wasn’t disabled on the device and that I needed to submit my T-Mobile bill statement for authentication. So I asked him, "If that’s all I needed to do, why didn’t I get an email as soon after I completed the claim instructing on this I need to do before my claim is approved?" He got so angry with me because I asked these questions, and he hung up on me. The name of the associate was Trent **, and I filled a complaint! Now I wasted 2 hour trying to figure out why my phone wasn’t shipped, and I had to deal with someone who didn’t know what she was doing at first, then someone who was extremely disrespectful to the customer.
I called AGAIN and wait another 40min on the line to be transferred to a rep. This time, this woman asked me for every single personal question unimaginable. My social security number, my address, and the personal information of the other people who are in the plan with me. It’s was so uncomfortable. She asked for all this information only to instruct me on how to go to Assurant's website and upload the documents. So I provided her with all this information for her only to tell me a link where to send the T-Mobile statement.
Once I upload the materials, I asked her when I should expect my phone. She tells me the earliest I can get it is Tuesday... What? As a real estate broker, I need my phone! That how I make money. So in the end I wasted over 4hr dealing with rude, incompetent, and unprofessional representative for nothing! This could have all been avoided if I had an email instructing me how to finish my claim the same day I filed the online claim. If it wasn’t for my low bill at T-Mobile, I would’ve never left Verizon. Verizon service was top tier. I never spent more than 20 minutes on the phone with Asurion when I needed to file a claim, NEVER!
I never waited more than 24hr for my phone, NEVER. I would file a claim at 5pm and my phone would be at my door steps the next day by noon! The rep were better train. Verizon quality of service was almost the same as AMEX customer service. I’ve reached out to my car insurance Geico and I will be signing up for their electronic protection which is only $10! I’ve only been with Assurant for less than 3 months, but wow, I am shock, I never thought there could be a service as bad As this one.

Unfortunately my son's phone was lost and the person that found the phone was unwilling for us to buy the phone back. Thankfully I had insurance on the phone! Called Assurant and had no problem explaining the situation and they processed an approved my claim immediately. The only thing I wished is that they used FedEx as it took me several days to get the replacement phone. Ordered on a Friday morning didn’t get phone until Thursday - almost a full week. Not that it’s assurant's fault - just a nuisance to be without a phone for almost a week. Overall I think everything went smooth and as expected.

I'm glad we had insurance in our device. However replacing the device was such a hassle. We had 3 devices stolen at the same time, yet I had to speak with 3 different people, one for each claim. I had to do the same when it came to pay the deductible, I talked to 3 different people. Still wouldn't take payment until they had all the forms that we had already emailed to them. Talk about waste of time and lack of efficiency. It took 2 days to get through the process and still had to wait another day for the approval. It would have been much easier and productive to get it resolved without beating around the Bush so much.

I submitted a claim to replace a cracked screen for a BLUE Samsung Note 9. The phone I received was a PURPLE Note 9. I called and was told the color of the phone is not guaranteed. The color of the phone should be covers. If and when I try to sell this phone the color of the phone will impact the possible buyers. I pay You a month and $250 for you to send me a new phone and I didn't even get the phone In the right color. My phone was lost/stolen, I filed a claim and my phone came the very next day. I hate to say this, but we as a society depend on the wrong things, I was absolutely lost without my phone, now, having said that, It was the most peaceful time I had in a very long time. We all need to unplug from them periodically.

The claim process was very fast and easy and It also was a very fast delivery. I have filed claim in past and I must say the process has improved. I must say I was very impressed when my package arrived on top the very next day after filing my claim.

I was extremely disappointed. It took 3 weeks to get my phone .. The 2nd week I was lied to. This was the most-aggravating place I have ever dealt with! I got hung up on when they realized they were wrong. I was being extremely hard on them but no one would accept responsibility.. Hope they are not like this with everyone.

I had purchased my Note 10+ and within 3 months I had accidentally dropped my new phone and cracked the screen. I filed a case with Assurant, paid the copay and within 2 days had my brand new phone. Very easy to complete and definitely puts your mind to rest.

Phone was replaced quickly. $50 fee was not too bad. Online claim form was tedious and stressful. On the whole the experience was satisfactory. No confirmation that my old phone had been returned though.

My phone quit holding a charge for any length of time. When I called to report this, I was treated very well. When I was told my phone would be replaced, I didn't expect the replacement to show up as quickly as it did. The only problem I had was finding a charging cord that would go with my new phone. It's a shame you don't have one that matches my phone that you could send me. Right now I am using one from a friend.

Somehow I crack my screen and when I had to make an insurance claim it was very easy. I really appreciate the insurance agents and the automated service was all very helpful and very concerned about my phone.

I ordered a replacement phone. When the phone arrived and I went into T-Mobile to have my current phone switched over. The replacement phone screen was out. So T-Mobile staff had me call Assurant to receive another replacement. I was then told that it would take 3-5 days before receiving a replacement. I had to purchase a new phone.

First rep put in the wrong GB of the phone. This caused me extra expense. Claim was denied because of this. Second rep would not honor the first mistake and sent second phone I did not want. All I wanted was to be reimbursed for the phone I purchased because of the incorrect info the first rep put in the system. The first rep said phone was out of stock and did not know when it was going to be back in stock. I asked about buying a new phone. He said I would be reimbursed for the max amount of the Pixel 3 minus the insurance fee. Second rep said that would not happen because there was not a current work order in for the correct phone and just shipped me a new phone since this was in stock. All I wanted was to be reimbursed because of the info I was told from the first rep.

I would like to say if I could give 0 stars I would. The whole experience was more than horrible. I have never had a bad experience with an insurance company. I filed a Claim on the 7th and was advised I would get a phone within 24 hours of the claim being approved. 10 days later still no phone. Called UPS and was advised the sender requested the phone back. Called multiple times and each time I was told a different story regarding what would happen. Also I was advised I would be getting a Note 10 due to a phone shortage. When the claim was first put in. Then told I would not get a note 10... frustrating especially after buying a designer case for a different model in which I could no longer return due to the time period. Very disappointed.
I would advise against using this company as an insurance provider...With a $15 a month fee plus a $99 deductible on damaged phone and 250 deductible on lost/stolen phone I don't see the value....especially after I was advised I would be getting a refurbished phone. At a local mall I was told by a kiosk associate I could get a new screen would cost 160 same day... T-Mobile offers suburb customer service. Sad they have a partnership with such a terrible company.

The replacement phone sent was a Note 9 to replace my Note 8 which is a much better phone. The note 8 was no longer available so they sent me an upgrade. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family.

Amazing Service. My phone was broken, the screen was shattered and the case twisted. I had insurance on the phone. I went to the store but they told me to called it in. I thought it would take a long time, however by the following day I had a replacement phone.

I talked to Garret on 7-8-2020 regarding return of phone and return of payment. He said when the warehouse received the phone, payment would be put back on the card. The warehouse received the phone on 7-13-2020 signed for by M. **. Here it is, 4 days later and still no refund. It seems Assurant is quick to take your money but snail slow to refund it. :-(
