    Couldn't work on the website because when changing the account to my husband's name, they didn't change much else. I finally quit after an hour or so and called customer service. The first guy I talked to was nice enough, but he said he would send me the link. Needless to say, I never got the link. I called back again, and that agent was able to help me. He is the only reason you got 1 star instead of 0.

    I received the replacement phone on Wednesday and within the week the phone froze and it couldn't be powered off or restarted. I transfer all my info from my old phone to the new phone which now I can't get. It's sooo aggravating. I pay monthly insurance to get a piece of crap replacement phone. I'm not happy at all.

    It took me calling 3 times in order for me to get approved on a replacement phone because the IMEI number didn't match to the number after getting a T-Mobile rep. on the line to straighten out the issue. They still denied it until I called the 3rd time and a supervisor override the issue which wasn't my fault. Good documentation would have helped in the first phone called to you all.

    I'm very disappointed that I spent so much money on a phone and when I finally claim I get sent a refurbished phone when I paid $1,000 for a new phone. I should not have been sent a refurbished phone. On top of that the phone makes a click every time I move as if something is loose inside.

    The process took awhile because the 4 Assurant agents I spoke with all were quick to not stay on phone to follow thru with claim. First one was jolly but not helpful. Second one disconnected. Three one who knows. The fourth one was the most helpful but problem was having email sent to the correct person, me and waiting and waiting for email. The T-Mobile agent was the most helpful.

    This was the worst claims experience I ever had. No one ever initiated contact. I had to do that over and over. What should have taken by the company's own statement 3 to 5 days took 10 and had I not continued calling asking for a supervisor, I do not believe I would have the phone yet. I am a claims rep. This company should be reported to the Ky Ins Dept.

    I called MetroPCS Oct 12th at 10am and the Metro reps was helpful while I explained somehow that my screen got cracked and it is in a protective case. That I need an replacement asap, paying the $50.00. Then I was transferred to the Assurant agent who came on and said no problem and it will be shipped off tomorrow morning and told me to put the broken one in the return box. Well today 10/13 at 9:54am I checked my claim status and to my surprise it was now declined. What's going on? Their rep said, "Ok no problem and it will be processed & mailed tomorrow." But now my claim is declined? It was an accidental damage, I'm so angry I'm telling everybody to never use MetroPCS because assurant is a total scam and liars. MetroPCS call me **. Heather & Dave.

    First of all I'm very disappointed with this "insurance" that is good only to take my money, after being paying the premium every month I had to pay another $60 to get a replacement and on top of that I was requested to pay another $21 plus tax and what ever else can do to get more money from me. In conclusion I WILL/WOULD NEVER TELL ANYONE I KNOW TO TAKE THE "INSURANCE" FOR THEIR DEVICES! I myself am getting out of spending my money in something is not worth it. Is better if I just walk into an store and buy a new device instead of getting one that could be "refurbished"!!!

    The warranty was void re cracked glass which happened. 8/26/2019. In spite of protective case, phone failed Oct 2020, no sim card notification repeatedly. Calls would go into emergency only mode. Insurance is worthless of no value.

    I take care of my Samsung S10 Plus like it's my baby. Yesterday I accidentally dropped it. Cracked the screen. Called Xfinity which also was no help, Assurant tells me that 2 options exist. "Either drive an hour away to get it fixed or we will send you a refurbished unit." I said, "Neither is acceptable. In fact your company is a scam." They know you're not driving an hour away and do this on purpose so you're stuck with a scratched up heavily used refurbished phone someone else sent to them. Sorry it's not the same as getting a new one or having the service center closer than an hour away. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. I'm not only canceling my Xfinity service but never again will be dealing with this scam of a company again. BEWARE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

    I took my phone to the tmobile store because the volume wasn't working and was told I needed to file an insurance claim. I called the number provided but didn't have a pin number to access my account for the automated service and was transferred back to tmobile. Once I was transferred back to Assurant the process was smooth. The phone arrived within 24 hours and I took it to the tmobile store to transfer my phone's contents. After spending 2 hours at the store waiting for the transfer to complete (the phone said it would be complete in 15 minutes the whole time) I took the phone home and charged it.

    That evening it wouldn't power on, so I tried charging it again. The phone wouldn't respond at all. I took the phone back to the store and they couldn't get it to function either so they told me to call assurant back. I called assurant and was told I would need to do a warranty switch out with tmobile not with them. Somehow in the process the volume on my original phone started working again so I just sent the replacement phone back and kept my old one.

    I have been paying insurance for over a year so I can conveniently acquire a new phone if mine should break. I was told I could receive one between 1-3 days after a claim. I received mine 9 days after... in dealing with the customer service: I was hung up on and have been told there is nothing they can do. Horrible experience.     You have raise your deductible from $99 last November to $250 less than a year later. Your monthly premium went up from $9, last year to $12 just a month prior to my claim and now $18. You'll suck. I have paid more for my phone in deductible and premium, than my costed. It was three years old, and still listed under the highest premium tier. Well, jokes on ya'll. I will never insure with you again and will not encourage any to purchase insurance with you. You are running a scam.     Paid insurance on phone for years. Try to get damaged phone replacement and they don't have so I'm supposed to pay 1399 out of my own pocket to replace my phone and they will send me a check for 999 and still charge me 99 deductible, so page six of their brochure that says pay insurance so you don't have to pay out of pocket for replacement is a lie! They tell me doesn't matter what their policy says, write corporate. They won't even give an equivalent cause they are out of all but older phones so the math doesn't add up 500 to get phone replacement having insurance.

    The application form for submitting a claim is really hard to understand and answer correctly (let the system accept your information). The phone I received for replacement of my damaged device was not the same color and was a used device. I don't pay almost $40 a month between 2 devices for insurance so I can then pay another $100 to make a claim to receive a device that isn't even the same device but also used. Your insurance is very expensive compared to other competitors and really hard to work with. Sending me a phone that I didn't even have as a replacement and it being used was extremely immature and rotten of your company. I know times are hard but that doesn't mean it's acceptable to rip people off and tell em to shove it while you increase your margin % on sales.

    It took 3-4 calls and a visit to a Spectrum store 20 Miles away before my claim was processed. Completed the “missing “ information multiple times online and submitted. Each time we called was told we would have a response in 24 hours. A week later we called and asked to speak with a supervisor. Was told a supervisor would call me within 24 hrs. Never received a call back. Drove to the nearest store 20 miles away The staff was friendly and did best to help. Contacted your office and again was told a supervisor would call.     I spoke with 4 different agents on the phone over the course of a week. The first person I spoke to on 10/28 stated the replacement was in stock would ship that same day. I called back 9/30 as there was no progress on my claim. I was told that the device was out of stock and that I was out of luck and would need to wait until the device was re-stocked. I had to then call my US Cellular business account rep to check for other options as we needed an immediate replacement and that is the service we pay for. My US Cell rep explained that our contract with Assurant states they should have offered a reimbursement check if I went in store OR be offered a different model replacement.

    I then called Assurant back for the a second time on 9/30 and explained what my US Cell rep had said. The Assurant rep then had to call his manager to check on options. He then explained that the manager was not answering their phone and that it was 11 minutes to closing time and that the manager often left early so he would need to call me back with an answer the next day. I never received a call back so I had to call back on 10/1. I spoke to the same rep who was supposed to call me back and he had no recollection of our conversation from the previous day. He then told me that, in-fact, a replacement device was in stock and that it would ship out the next business day which was Friday, 10/2.

    Again, that never happened and the device was not shipped until Monday, 10/5. This was the most frustrating experience I have ever had with a US based, English as a first language, customer service. We did not receive the service we pay for. The Assurant reps made multiple promises they could not keep and this wasn't just a single rep, it was all 3 I spoke with.

    My newly purchased phone cut out so badly I couldn't hold a conversion with ANYONE. I sent it back to T-Mobile at a cost of $50.00 and was sent another phone that did the same thing.     I initially attempted to file my claim for a missing phone on September 10th. After all the holds and transfers I eventually spoke to "Mary" who then told me to complete it online (this was after taking all the information that I've already given to the automated system). She told me she would send me links that she never ended up sending. I went ahead and navigated the file a claim myself only to have the system not accept my pin. Due to work and home schedule I wasn't able to attempt this again until the following Saturday. Spoke to a different rep that asked if this was the same claim from about 10 days prior, so that tells me it was in the system but they failed to process it.

    I paid the $249 to get a replacement phone, even though I pay for top insurance, next day delivery for an order placed on Saturday will not be received until Tuesday. Get the phone Tuesday evening only to find out that the phone they sent me won't even work with my carrier. Spent almost 2hrs of my night trying to right their wrong only to be told they wouldn't replace the phone they sent until they received it back. Work schedule vs post office hours would mean I wouldn't be able to send it out until the following Monday. Rep hung up on me because he didn't feel I was professional. I have since canceled insurance on all 3 of my phones and will never pay this company another dime because they are a complete scam. I had to go through my phone carrier to get a replacement phone and did not receive so much as a partial refund for their mistake and incompetence. Avoid this company.

    I requested my replacement device and received a completely different unit from what I had in the program. I was told by one person it was a complimentary upgrade, but was left with poor communication on why the like device was not sent. A different agent let me know the wrong device was sent on accident. Either way, it took it a week to arrive and it was wrong.

    When asking for resolution, rather than send out the correct device immediately, I was told they would not do that until they had proof the wrong device they sent me was on its way back to them. Ridiculous. Now it has been 10 days since my screen broke and I still sit without a replacement device. They also refused to overnight the new device, so I won't have it for another 3 days. Two weeks to get a device. This has been one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had with a company and their desire to make things right, when they were in the wrong, is unacceptable. I do not recommend the warranty plan primarily because Assurant is horrible at managing their wrongs.

    I received a faulty replacement phone and when I called to try and figure out what happened and was told that they couldn’t send me another device until I sent back the faulty one the company sent me and once in transit only then could they send me another one. I would of understood this had it been something I did to the phone but since it was the company’s mistake I don’t think I shouldn’t of had to wait for the phone to be shipped days later, it was a weekend and I had to wait until Monday to ship the faulty phone and it is now Saturday a week later and I still don’t have a replacement phone. I think that the least that this company can do for the terrible service I am receiving is to give me some of the money back I paid for the faulty replacement phone. That a good way to get me from getting rid of the 4 phones, which I have insurance now through Tmobile.

    This was the WORST customer service experience of my life. I spoke with around 6 different individuals trying to make my claim go through. Everyone was horrible except for the very last lady I spoke with who was professional and diligent. At one point I even thought about bringing lawyers in because of fraud and the amount of time wasted speaking with this horrible company. Around 6-8 hours in total over the course of several days. I can’t just blame the customer service, the company itself is a sham. So... the phone isn’t insured but the phone number IS?! Makes no sense whatsoever!!! Don’t change your SIM card...even though it is not stated anywhere in their pamphlet.

    Two different customer service reps had farm animals in the background that were so loud I could barely hear or understand them. Another service representative put me and a T-Mobile staff member on hold for 30 MINUTES and THEN hung up on us. This company is revolting, from the majority of their hired representatives to their values.

    The 1st csr was nice and eager to please. However we were disconnected. The 2nd csr, was extremely knowledgeable and had a genuine and sincere way to say "look lady, all orders fulfilled are at random. You get what you get and don't throw a fit. We can refund or you can accept that which we already sent to you." Which he professionally and courteously handled in a timely manner. So csr's are a five star the service itself a 2 star. I feel that a replacement device should have been either exact, an "on borrow" while being fixed then returned, or a discount on an upgrade.

    I had talked to 3 different people & got 2 different answers on the process of claiming damage to the phone. Went to Metro PCS & the guy working there finally got to talk to a woman that knew more than the other 2. First phone call was told to go to the phone store & pay $50.00. Then found out had to wait 3-5 business days for approval & was never told this. Once it was approved, things went smoothly.

    Put an insurance claim for my device, paid the $100 deductible. When I got my replacement device it was broken. Called Assurant and could not talk to a human, the automation system just sent me to T-Mobile after I said the replacement device was broken. T Mobile replace the device but charged me a $5 fee.

    Took over a month to receive my new device and had spoken with multiple people in this time frame. Many were not knowledgeable including a supervisor. I was advised to go purchase my phone through a Tmobile store and you guys would issue a check. I decided that was my best option so when I called in to confirm I was told I wouldn't receive my check back in 7 to 10 days but only after you guys receive my damaged device. So technically I wouldn't have gotten the 1200 back within a week but more like a month. I'm considering canceling my carrier just so I never have to deal with your insurance company again.

    I filed a claim through TMobile waiting for my replacement phone for over a week. I checked the status online everyday but no updates. I had to call back and ask what was going on and they told me they needed verbal confirmation to process the order... No one told me that to begin with... I was waiting like an idiot for over a week for my replacement. Once I called back and told them to process my payment they send the phone but only after I had to curiously call and see what was up. Terrible service.

    Updated on 11/02/2020: After my last review with experience with this company just want to give an update. I was contacted by Morgan, a representative from Assurant. She was very helpful and understanding of my problem and had great customer service. She was able to resolve all my concerns within a short period of time.

    Original Review: I originally had a Note family phone and it got replaced with S family. I understand that the phone I had is an older model and it is not available anymore but is this case I feel that it should have been replaced with a newer model of the Note family, not S family. Even this is a newer model it does not have all options that Note have. I have been paying my insurance for many years and never had claims. I tried to talk to several different employees and managers and felt that the robots not humans just repeating the same thing over and over. I am very disappointed at your service and wish I had an option to insure my phone thru a different company.

    We were trying to submit a simple warranty claim. We were on hold for an hour only to be hung up on. We went to the store 3 times where they tried to help us with the process but weren't able to make headway. We were on hold another two times for an hour without success because the information we were given by the Assurant reps to us in the store did not work when we went home. It took a week to do what is supposed to be a 24 hour process.
