I placed my claim around 8 pm and got approved the same night and shipped the next day. I truly appreciate this because I was able to get my phone immediately and helped me continue my business. I use my phone for my business so this helped a lot. Thank you!!

The customer service representative was very helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. I really appreciate the kindness and patience the representative had. Many people don't have positive attitudes anymore so it was a blessing to have a great representative on the phone.

Assurant has the worse customer service. I actually filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because of my experience. All the reps provided conflicting information and the last rep I spoke to hung up the phone. To think I pay for a service and the completer disregard to provide customer service and a resolution was of no concern to anyone at Assurant. I hope this complaint gets to their corporate department. It’s clear a review should be done for their business practices and how they do business with their customers.

Was professional and courtesy was very helpful, was replace and ship within 24 hours. When I received the phone there was a number to call to help me activate the phone and she really took her time and help, when the store I had purchase the original phone located at 1943 Street Rd wouldn't help me. They wanted to charge me another $25. After I had paid $60. They're really not nice at that store.

Terrible experience I got after been paying for years. When my daughter lost her small iPhone 5 they make me pay $99 dollars and send me other phone broken. My daughter she can hear nobody and no one can hear her by any application and I call many time. They didn’t respond and they lied. You make make fun and promise me another phone after 72 hours. And GUESS WHAT? NOBODY CALL YEAH. Terrible service. Lies after lies. And since now no solution I very mad about this service and worst the my company T Mobile does not supported me, never lose your money. DON'T GET THIS INSURANCE COMPANY ASSURANT. TERRIBLE AND everything is not true.

I was able to fill out a claim online and it was accepted immediately. The replacement device was sent the next day and I was able to send my damaged device back the day following that after I transferred all of my info. It was a very seamless and quick process. The only suggestion I have is to let the customer know when you receive the damaged device as I was very concerned that it did not arrive and I would be charged. Everything else was awesome!

Delaminating screen. No hassles, helpful service, pleased with their helping with a replacement, prompt delivery, like new phone. My only negative comment was the replacement was a far larger screen unit than a model more similar in size to my damaged device. I have a handicap with all finger movements on one of my hands, requiring my other good hand reaching across a devices screen to perform all functions. Assurant was not able to help with a smaller unit in warehouse. I had to subsequently trade it in to a third party to obtain a better size for my hand.

To begin with the deductible was raised to 275 when I paid either 200 or 250 last time I had an issue with the phone. Secondly it took 9 days for my phone to arrive. The type of work I do, I use my phone to run my jobs. I had to use my smartwatch for 9 days in order to be able to communicate at work and with my family. This affected my livelihood in a big way. I tried to use another phone while I waited to receive my replacement but they told me I couldn't do that because that would cancel my insurance on my device even if the switch was temporary.
Every time I called to enquire about my replacement no one could tell me when it would be sent or when would it arrive. There was zero help, zero updates and zero information that could be given to me by a slew Of people that could barely be understood when communicating. This experience was by far the worse I've ever had in any insurance claim. I hope that I will never have to deal with Assurant again.

Took a long time to get my claim through all the way!! Called and talked to Representative several times throughout a month about 3 to 4 weeks I guess to finally get my ID from me to you. Not sure still to this day where all my pictures of my ID went too if you did not get them. It would be a Big help if you would let us the consumer know if you received the pictures or not so we didn’t have to wait 24 hours for your Notification that we were excepted or not. That is why I called so many times then were told that you did not receive my ID and several of those people that help me and walk me through each and every step we still didn’t get the ID to go through.
I do THANK you for replacing my phone and 10 days to return my broken phone back to you is not long enough with the pandemic going on to return the phone. My phone does not turn on. I have called you and I have called T-Mobile because I cannot disable my personal information off of my phone so had to take it to a professional to see if he could disable my phone. So as soon as I get my phone back I will send it to your company. Sorry I do not go out of house unless it is necessary due to my health. THANK You AGAIN. Also have not got a new phone set up yet.

Probably would have given a 5 star rating except I kept having to listen to other sales pitches for upgrades I did not need to hear when I just wanted to get my phone taken care. Plus nowhere in the paperwork does it mention that by talking to a human I will be charged 20$. Infuriating!!!. But I did receive my new phone overnight and that was better than expected.

My son has been robbed outside the country, in order to stop the access to his bank accounts we retrieve a SIM card, because of that T-Mobile and Assurant lost track of the equipment but they understood this sad moment and took care of the nightmare we lived.

Made a call to my insurance provider. A customer service associate worked with me to get my issue taken care of, it didn't take long to resolve. Was explained the procedures. Was satisfied with the employee's knowledge and quickness in helping me. Also was Very pleased in the time to get a replacement phone, was blown away less than 2days. I'm glad to have the insurance. There is one thing I was a little unhappy about, was having to pay a 40.00 deductible. I was never told that I had to pay a deductible when I purchased the insurance.

It was the worst situation I have faced. I have spoken to their customer service department more than 5 times in the last three months about my device. Even though they took the money out of my account, they never gave me a chance to give my updated address. They sent the device to the **, when I live at **. (tracking no **. claim no ** device Motorola E6 16HB blue.). T-Mobile can do better. I hear you buying out all these companies, but not taking care of your own. Not good.

Too very difficult to get replacement phone. Their website had issues. They stalled for days, saying they had it, then saying they didn’t have and to resend in PDF. Sounds like health insurance before new laws were made to the deny, deny, deny then stall was stopped.

Submitting and approval of claim was prompt, efficient, and even with a covid delay it arrived faster than expected. I would give Assurant service a five star rating and would use them again as well as recommend the service to others as an excellent protection plan.

My son accidentally dropped my phone and my phone screen broke causing my screen phone to turn white and me not being able to see the screen. The insurance sent sent me the same phone which I received in 3 days.

The woman I spoke to on the line helped calm me down as I was in a panic when my phone broke because I use it for work. She was so kind and had me laughing near the end of our conversation. I was very pleased with the replacement process with Assurant. The only problem I had with them was the replacement time. It took five days for the phone to be replaced whereas in the past they have done it by the next day or within 2 days. Other than that the customer service Personnel I talk to were very professional, knowledgeable and efficient.

Thru Hurricane Zeta I had a power outage. The young lady tried to help me for 2 hrs. Then the power was out for 30 hrs. When I got power I got the new phone to work. I then went to T-Mobile to delete all my information on the old phone which I thought the screen was crack. I gave my credit card # to the automation system. Then my credit card was hacked for $98.00. The bank sent me a notice and I had to get NEW DEBIT CARD, I was appalled that I sent (2) $10.00 payments with that card. I am not please with T-Mobile. Someone was suppose to call me to set up this new phone but it has not happen. Also Mario Customer service person was suppose to call me back and has not done so. I will not recommend no one to this company.

After receiving a device the battery wouldn’t hold a charge. Called T-Mobile and they connected me to your customer service dept. The man I spoke with told me my cable or block must be bad. I explained that I charge my iPhone for on it fine. Then he proceeded to tell me I would have to pay again and couldn’t ship it out because I had a device. Very unhappy with the service I got. Been a T-Mobile customer for 18 years and I expected better.

You always sent me the bad phone, this for the third time I complain,, Just wasting my time keep calling you company, the first time when I claim and pay $99 you sent me the phone very bad, keep freezing.... And I claim again the next you sent another phone, now problem with speaker, when I talk to somebody. I can hear somebody voice but on the other side they could not listen perfectly when I talk. I was lied to on the phone that a replacement phone for the same phone would be made. The employee's words - 'it would be unfair to receive any other phone'. Imagine spending an entire day on the phone and then receiving a vastly outdated Samsung S8+ as a replacement for the LG Wing, a phone released a week ago. If you want quality services, I recommend going to an actual repair place that can help you instead of paying any amount to these guys who'll just send you trash in return. It was so funny that they called and asked for the phone back when they realized what they did. Sent the trash back and cancelled service shortly after. Now I found out they charged me the full deductible. LOL.

I had received a replacement phone after I reported and accident on mine. My husband went to Tmobile to get it up and working. He was told that they couldn't do it. That they had 2 representatives that day and that there WIFI was out. The person that was helping my husband told him how to transfer the info to the replacement phone. He got home and was doing the transfers, when the phone just froze. The screen was pink and it said T-Mobile. I then went back and spoke with the manager. Don't know what she did but she was able to restart it. She did the whole procedure to transfer the information and get it running. She had also stated that transferring the phone was just a courtesy thing, that they don't have to do anything. She got running got back home, was busy with other things, went back to the phone to check that everything was transferred right.
After a few minutes it froze on me again. Went back to T-Mobile only to be told that I need to call Assurant to make a report. I called was transferred to a technician. The person I was speaking with was helping for a while to redownload the system again. After about an hr he got it working. After hanging up I was again making sure my info was transferred. After not even 10 minutes it froze again. I called again lady said we would have to refresh my phone, after I'm already mad about everything about the phone. She said that it would be better to download an updated version on the phone. The phone started working again after working on it for awhile.
Next day phone was still working. Same day later on I couldn't get into my email. I called it quits that day. Next day email was still not working. Just by luck I decided to do shut it off and restart it. Email worked. After this back and forth with technical support and store employees not helping and being on hold for a long time, I really thought of looking for another phone place. I have been with T-Mobile for many yrs and then under my husband name I really thought of changing carrier. I really had a terrible experience this time.

Website glitchy, customer representatives not helpful with this aspect at all, I kept receiving the same suggestions for a working website, not having a phone complicated the entire experience because of phone calls and image uploads, once resolved, after much frustration, phone arrived in timely manner. If I had another option for phone insurance, I would choose the competitor.

I called on Nov 3 to say I cracked my phone and I received my replacement phone on the 5th. I called in because I was having internet issues with my home service and the representative was very helpful. I returned the cracked phone in the mail on the 7th.

I called in to have a phone replaced. it came very quickly but I was sent a PCS device instead of Metro. The store clerk told me if she activated it I would lose my ins. I called Assurant and the customer service guy activated it anyway assuring me I wouldn't lose my ins and I lost my ins having a very hard time getting it straightened out. I had to wait for another device. It took 4 hours to finally get it straight but once I did the supervisor was very helpful.

After submitting my claim on a Sunday, I received my replacement phone within three days (Wednesday). Once my claim was received, I received an email that my claim was approved and was provided a tracking number. I received my phone within three days.

I was very disappointed with the process and lack of communication from Assurant to get my phone replaced. After making multiple calls to get an update about my phone, it finally arrived 6 days later, was not happy, especially after I was told it only takes a few days and not a week to get here. This is not good for business for T-Moblie. They need to work harder to improve this service. Alicia H.

Experienced the rudest customer service rep. I’ve ever encountered. He was reading a script and because he was reading from script did not hear anything I said. Would speak over me. When I ask him to let me talk without interruption, he sat silent even after letting him know I was done speaking. Spoke with manager who did not seem to have real concern.

At first it was difficult. Was doing it online and it was hard to tell from the form if the account holder should put in their info or if the additional phone person, which was the stolen phone, should put in their info. After calling, we were able to be guided correctly.

We received a replacement for our ZTE Zmax. The phone you sent is severely slow and keeps shutting off. This is not right that I pay for the insurance and paid my 50 deductible to get a phone that is not equivalent to the phone I had and the replacement phone is not even working correct.

The processing of the claim was easily done through the app tech pd. Been connected to customer service and they answer any questions very well and helped me to process the claim. The replacement phone arrive right away or in just 1 business day. So thankful my phone was replaced right away since I really need to use it.

My return was a nightmare experience. 5 representatives and 4 days later I had to argue to finally get a manager to tell me a comparable phone was shipped...I beg to differ on comparable when the phone shipped in error from the warehouse was $400 less. And didn't have the features I purchased my phone for.. Finally that manager had the correct phone shipped to me.

I talked to the supervisor which she was very nice and understanding but did not get back with me and help me get on the phone with Metro PCS like she said she would. To get Metro PCS to do something to better serve me as a valued customer it took almost a month to get my phone which sucks.

I have never had any problems whatsoever when it comes to Assurant replacing my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 phone. The delivery is prompt and fast by the following day! Everything is handled professionally and quickly. I would give them a 5 Star rating except they have replaced the original high quality headset that originally came with my OEM phone, with a cheap made in Vietnam low quality one. I strongly believe Assurant should replace the equipment as originally purchased by the customer or with a higher quality headset. That is why I gave them a 4 star service rating. Thank you.

Would give zero stars if I could but I suppose the 1 star will have to be for the few (and I mean VERY few) moments that the new device manages to function properly. I sent in my previous phone due to a broken screen. It was a minor inconvenience but otherwise, the previous phone still worked. To save myself from the glass splinters, I decided to make use of the insurance on the phone and get a replacement. However, in exchange for a functional phone with a broken screen, I received a broken phone with an intact screen. It is a temperamental and faulty device that turns off randomly and gets stuck on the Metro loading screen. I've tried forced power off but when I try to turn it back on, it just gets stuck again on the same screen.
In fact, I feel as though the forced power off measures don't even matter because the device chooses for itself when it wants to work. On multiple occasions now, I have held the power/lock button for up to 5 minutes with no change in the screen. Sometimes I'll be lucky and it will turn off like it is supposed to, while other times, I have had to wait hours for the battery to die so that I can try again to access my phone. Other times, I have found that it will randomly go to the metro loading screen even if I haven't touched anything to turn off or restart the phone. Mid-text? Metro screen. Trying to make a call? Metro. Scrolling through emails? Metro again. Breathing? Probably just another trigger.
There is no way for me to know when or for how long the device will stay stuck on that cursed purple metro screen but it is frustrating that this is the phone I received after paying the insurance deductible for a replacement. I wouldn't dare pay the deductible again to replace this broken device now that I know there is a risk of receiving another device that could be just as bad or even worse than what I am already dealing with. Absolutely terrible.

When I went online to try and report my lost phone and obtain a order number, the website, kept taking me in circles. I got so frustrated that I had to hang up and call to speak to a live person. It took me 2 calls to finally get to someone who was able to help and understood my frustration, and willing to help me without guiding me to the website.

The person that helped me with my claim was very knowledgeable of which she should do. She helped me in any way that she could. She was very kind and respectful. She is the type of person in the future that I would be always willing to do deal with to handle my business. She did her best to compensate me with anything that I needed. She was also a type of person that would suggest things to what would best suit me. There are a lot of people that do this job and just do their job. It took 2 days. Usually takes 1 day. This will be the 3rd a 50 phone I have purchased. Not a durable phone and very expensive. I paid for the phone through US Cellular and then I've paid 2 $100 deductibles so I paid for 2 phones.

The phone was received within 24 hours which was surprising since we live "out in the boonies". I took the phone to a US Cellular store and have the phone turned on and everything switched over. The whole process took less than an hour (we had to wait in line). Overall it was a good experience. I would recommend your insurance to anyone with a smart phone.

The claim (filed 10/28/20 Wed.) & was approved (after 24-hour review) on 10/29/20 Thu., at 1:42 am which's before 8:00 pm cutoff - should be overnight shipping. The department instead sent it by UPS GROUND - "sooo absurd"!! Didn't get the replacement phone till Mon., 11/2/20 Mon. afternoon. Called your customer service - soooo arrogant. They're unprofessional and complained I called too many times. Ended up going together with ALL of my children to N.J. from N.Y. to my cousin who loaned me her phone & charger so to use for 5 days - so tedious, inconsiderate and unnecessary.
I recently lost my wife due to terminal Stage 4 breast cancer - single dad to take care of ALL of my children - needed phone desperately for emergency due to hotspot NYC BUT Assurant doesn't care - had to go back to NJ with ALL of my children together to return to my cousin the loaner phone & charger. Later I requested the charger with Assurant and specified to have it sent to my workplace. Unluckily, it was lost due to shipping it by "UPS GROUND" AGAIN to my home which has nobody because my wife passed on PLUS children go to school. Still has NO charger yet to use with new phone - an unjust, huge mess! 11 years with T-Mob along with 11 years with Assurant insurance.
FIRST claim ever - such an inferior service AND poor, disorganized, & NON customer-oriented operations/business. Completely dissatisfied and disappointed with such a worst treatment ever by Assurant towards my "single" family of vulnerability due to breast cancer. Definitely the WHOLE team of Assurant needed to be "re-trained", "re-educated" & "re-oriented"!!! Top management got to do a much better job to save the Assurant company image with T-Mob as its partner over the long horizon. NOBODY needs that kind of poor, low-quality customer service ever!!!! Distressful, disheartened experience of service rendered by Assurant!!!!
Loyalty and customer satisfaction is the key to company's survival in the long-run. Plus, word-of the-mouth and high expectations in providing top-notched services make T-Mob soooo successful in the telecommunicating business BUT couldn't find any in Assurant Insurance Co. unfortunately - time to make the needed improvements and correct the bad attitude and undesirable ways of servicing the Assurant policyholders at large - couldn't sustain the company like that in the long term like that.... Make that leap and come out of it.

When ordering my replacement device I specified the color of the broken device and was told I'd be getting the same color, upon receiving new device it wasn't the same color, I contacted Assurant and had very nasty service from the representatives. T-Mobile rectified my issue by crediting my account so that I could buy a case to get close to the original color of my broken device.

It took 4 days for my daughter's phones to be delivered. We had to call to see why we didn't receive the phone. The representative said because she only put 2 instead of apt 2 they didn't send it. No one called to confirm the address since there was a problem and we still had to call for a tracking number because we never received an email. Couldn't find a backing to protect it and with assistance it wouldn't even connect to my vehicle etc... I returned it to the post office on Thursday Nov. 5, 2020 at 8:37am. Upset too because now in Miami is in a Tropical Storm or may turn into Hurricane by time it get to me and I need a phone. I was told I would get 3V ACL when I first explained my issue since they longer make the phone but first was denied it was denied. I believe this phone has been discontinued more than 5 years. 5 years ago when my phone broke I received this model. Trying to protect that 5 years ago no OtterBox available to do so therefore it broke and now you guys found the same pink unwanted discontinued phone and now it has no battery life. I have to charge it three times a day with no apps running. I think you should do something to remedy that like giving me the next model up or an Apple phone and the color being silver or white or black not pink.

2 weeks after buying a new phone it was lost while shopping at Safeway. The next day I went to PCS to get my insurance info. That night I submitted my claim online and the day after which was a Sat. I got my replacement phone. No hassle whatsoever. That's why I rate Assurant ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐plus. I will continue to use them as long as I have a cellphone.

I received the phone next day and was ready to go. I did have to go to Xfinity store to have chip activated but was not a big deal. Thank you VLH.

The customer service representative was great! She guided me right through the process. It was short, sweet and to the point. I did get aggravated at first because when I originally filed the claim somebody had stolen not only my phone but wallet also which had my ID in it. So I could not complete the process until I had my id. I also had another Metro phone that was not being used at the time that I was going to get my number switched over to but I had the same problem. The ID issue. I couldn't switch service to another phone without my id. So I stewed on this for days. Angry at metro, Assurant, the world and God! But then God I guess told me to calm down because a few days later, by His Grace, someone returned my wallet to my mailbox. And my ID was there with it! Praise God!
At this point I was over my month plan so the phone was technically inactive. So when I called and spoke with the woman she told me that everything would be fine and she would help me get back to where I needed to be. At first I was very angry about not allowing me to pay for the deductible without having to show an id. But now I realize that it is a very safe, smart and secure guideline and procedure that is put there to protect us period even though it was holding me up and really making me sweat and struggle there for a minute, it is a necessary safety precaution. It is put there to protect us from anyone who may want to try and fraudulently make a claim or yada yada yada.
So I am, now that I have my id, lol, glad that it is placed in there. So once the ID was in place I called back, typed in my debit card number and then waited. It seemed my claim was hung up somewhere so I made a quick call back to customer service. Talk to a sweet young lady from Texas who was so very nice, intuitive and knowledgeable. Not to mention she had a thick Texas straw and a great sense of humor lol. Very personable. I asked her what the holdup was and it turned out it was my address. She narrowed it right down to that and we troubleshooted through it to figure out why it wasn't being verified and it only took not even a minute and got the verification! That was late afternoon and wouldn't you know early afternoon the next day I received my phone! I know this was long but I had to give you the full scoop. Thank you so much!

Claim filed 10/25 or 10/26. Replacement phone was received in non working order. Had to wait 24 hours for a new return label. Returned replacement phone since it didn’t work. Gave it 3 days and followed up. Was told on 11/4/20, I would have it by 11/6/20. On 11/6/20, I called to follow up and then told I would have it by 11/10:20.

I lost my phone within three days of purchase. It was so new T-Mobile couldn't find it with location finder. Assurant assisted by phone, and online. Assurant staff were courteous with each call. Second call was made with T-Mobile staff assistance because Assurant had not received insurance payment even though I sent receipt with payment info. I repaid insurance at T-Mobile, and this payment was received by Assurant. I checked credit card statement at home, and first payment had not been charged for unknown reason. All was as Assurant stated. Assurant staff were patient throughout transactions. Replacement phone arrived when Assurant staff said it would.

The replacement Samsung S7 I was sent gets very hot to that it melts the phone case and you can't even handle the phone. When I explained that they said they would send out another S7. Why would I want another s7. From looking at reviews this is a problem with the S7s. They said there was nothing else they could do. So thanks for nothing. I am stuck with a phone that burns cases and gets really hot unless I want to pay an arm and a leg for a new phone.

Filed a claim, required documents were sent from multiple places, multiple times!!!. They never called with updates or to ask for more info needed. I explained several times the urgency of replacing my cell. I have a kid with a medical condition. All her medical info, files doctor's phone numbers and calendar with her medical appointments were on my damaged phone. I needed the replacement. This is the worse company I have ever dealt with in my whole life. Heartless and extremely unprofessional including most of the managers and did nothing to try to help. They took a whole week to replace a phone.
Heartless people!!!! I kept telling 'em that I had screen shots of all the documentation submitted confirmation message to prove that the problem was on their end. Something was wrong with their website. No one bothered to listen. I begged them crying explaining the urgency of my situation. The answer given was ... "Just wait and re submit the documentation again and wait up to 72 hours to be reviewed".!!! A whole week with this joke. Needless to say .. I can not wait to change companies.!!!

Assurant staff were kind and very helpful as I was trying to replace my broken phone. I had a difficult time attempting to turn off the 'find my phone' option - as my phone wasn't working. Just FYI - hold the 'power' button and the 'decrease sound' button simultaneously for 30 seconds - and the phone will turn off. New phone was send to me and was well packaged - and all instructions to activate new phone were included. Thank you for a very positive experience.

We were sent a replacement phone, I tried to activate the phone with no success. I had to take it to U.S. Cellular to have them activate it. They discovered that the phone was a government phone and had an Encrypted PIN on it. The representative from U.S. Cellular was great! He was very patient and persistent in trying to fix the problem. When he called Tech support he was put on hold for long periods of time and at one point the call was disconnected. He was finally able to talk to a different person in Tech support, they quickly said they would just send us a new phone, this should have been done earlier. Overall, it was a frustrating and time consuming experience. Please check out the phones before you send them out.

My husband phone was basically, not working, screen was black and he only able to make phone call when someone calls. Phone was against water but, what happened was that when accidentally dropped his phone it also cracked. But it was very nice to have new phone the next day. Thank you.

I received the replacement phone after paying the fee on October 26, 2020. The phone arrived on Wednesday, October 28th damaged. As I went through the process of set-up, the phone started to over heat. I called Assurant immediately, and reported it. I was told to shut it off immediately, & a new phone would be sent in 2 days with 2 labels. Place one label on the original phone and the other label on the damaged replacement phone. Phone should arrive on Friday October 30th. The phone never came and when I contacted Assurant again on Saturday I found out the representative didn't document my account from the call on Wednesday as well. Problem has been resolved through T-mobile. **

If there is a zero rate, I would happily give it! For years, I have been paying insurance for my new phone, now my phone is acting up and I made claim, the claim was accepted, the funny thing about this scam company is that after paying $200 deductible/service charge, they are going to replace my phone with a refurbished/used phone. Also, the payment for insurance increased (doubled). When I purchased my new phone from Metro PCS, they told me that if I purchase the insurance, they would replace it with a new phone if anything happens to my phone, 3 years later they say they can only replace it with a refurbished/used phone. This scum/fraud company, please be careful!!!

I was sent a defective phone last week and I'm still waiting for my replacement. Huge inconvenience. Haven't had service for 6 days and counting. It has been shutting off with no cellular data. T-mobile did a hard reset for the phone and it still hasn't been working. Another replacement will be shipped to the T-Mobile store hopefully by today. I paid $250 for a broken phone, very disappointed.

I have been a customer for over 3 years and and this was the first claim I have filed. It was a horrible experience. I started the process on a Wednesday and did not get a replacement till the following Tuesday. I was told that I did not properly fill out the app with the color and size. There is no page for that. Needless to say I will never deal with this company again and I will spread the word every chance I get. Horrible customer service all around.

I filed a claim for the Galaxy phone that heats up and gets extremely hot where you are unable to hold it for use. I was sent the same phone as I was previously informed the phone has issues with heating up. This has brought to decide if I would like to continue paying for the coverage. Assurant did not provide a resolution. I have been a customer for 11 years and I have phone that may possibly get so hot I can be burned. Can't take those chances.

I set up a claim, online, for the cracked screen on my phone. In 2 days I had my replacement and the materials needed to send the damaged phone back. Complete details and what was needed for the damaged phone. Very easy and convenient, no stores needed. I would use Assurant again.

My phone was accidentally damaged, and a claim was turned in. 46 days since my damaged phone was delivered to their facility, and I have received no reimbursement (despite being told several times that they are going to send the check), and no communication unless I initiate contact. My only apparent recourse is to file a complaint for Unfair Claims Practices. Please, save yourself the extra money on your bill, and schedule your device on your Homeowner's or Renter's insurance policy. This will broaden your coverage, and give you a more direct method of contact, quicker claims handling, and easier on your pocket.
The time and money spent arranging for a replacement phone myself, along with the interest on the transaction, only add to the frustration of paying a monthly fee for a service that delivered nothing but empty promises. Very little information regarding the claim is available on the website, which makes their attempts to guide their customers to the site for information appear to be a shady way of not having to answer your questions directly on the phone. Consumers should also know that instructions vary between representatives, and if follow up calls are necessary, notes are either not made, or not acknowledged by the next representative that you connect with.

My experience was great with Assurant. I went in to T-Mobile store and explained what happened to my phone. I was told that I was insured but would have to pay $49 deductible. I was given instructions and received in mail new phone and return mail envelope to return damaged phone.

I received my device 8 days after reporting it’s lost and the excuse I was told by Assurant was I reported the wrong device and after 3 days it my claimed was approved just the next day it’s was denied again saying the device was not insured at the time of incident. I had the worst experience and decided to cancel my insurance with y’all and get the one with Apple. It was bad. Really really bad.

Over the course of the claim process, the out-of-pocket costs changed repeatedly, ranging from zero to more than $200. Similarly, I received emails indicating a balance due but was told by an agent to ignore them. Even now, I don't know if Assurant considers the claim fully settled. The website did not provide the information needed to answer my questions. The process was very frustrating and time-consuming.

The first time I called I was hung up on. The second time I called the rep was nice and understood my frustration of trying to order a replacement phone. She was excellent, phone ordered, received it and switched everything over. I sent the phone back on 10/13, which was within my 10 day mailback period. Imagine to my surprise on 11/2, I get a letter from you dated 10/27 stating you haven't gotten the phone. I IMMEDIATELY called and spoke with with Angel, who investigated the situation. Turns out the phone was apparently received but sitting in a warehouse and has not been scanned yet due to Covid.
If this is the case, then these threatening letters should NOT be mailed out! I can't speak for anyone else, but if I had $1000.00 laying around, I would have just bought another phone instead of being threatened with being charged for something I already mailed back. I recorded the exchange with the mailman for this very reason. Someone needs to do better, cause this is unacceptable.

The customer service representative was very knowledgeable. My replacement phone came very quickly. However, I am now being charged full price for a phone that was returned. I have no knowledge about what happened to the phone after I dropped it into the mailbox. I now have to cancel my service with T-Mobile because I refuse to pay for a phone that I don't have.

I received my replacement phone on Tuesday of last week, and by Sunday it wouldn't accept a charge and will not turn on. I brought my concern to Assurant and the representatives were not not helpful at all, I was on hold for over an hour and do not understand why it takes over 48 hours to generate a label or why a new device can't be sent while waiting for the label to generate when a faulty device was sent to begin with.

The process was mostly smooth - the replacement phone arrived in a couple business days, and the instructions about clearing the old phone seemed clear enough. What I found disconcerting is that you used UPS to send the phone to me, but asked me to use a (postage paid) USPS box to return it. During this election time, USPS is unusually slow, but you gave me a very hard deadline to return the phone or suffer a severe monetary penalty. There was a risk there for me, and I have been tracking the USPS delivery carefully, hoping that it arrives in time.

When I ordered my phone I was told it would come with everything I had on there the first time. Like my screen protector and OtterBox. When I received it legit was just the phone. I had to buy a whole new case which I don’t think is fair because I paid for the 360 Protection Plan. I had to stay without a case for a couple of days due to this.

I did not receive a replacement. Instead I was told to purchase a battery through my own funds. Then after the purchase, if the battery resolve the issue, I would be reimbursed. I did not find out until later when I received the email that reimbursement would come via check. I had no choice in how I would receive my reimbursement. I don't have a bank account so that doesn't work for me.

When I 1st paid $99 for my new phone they told me I would have it next day which would is a Saturday. Come to find out that that was not the case so I called Assurant and they told me Monday. Why pay insurance and then demand a deductible in order to get a replacement phone. The insurance is supposed to cover a replacement. To me this is unfair practice and you all should not be allowed to get away with this. This is double dipping.

They didn't give me complete information in the first claim I made about having to return the mobile device. I was replenished but the one sent to me was damaged, I had to make another claim in which they explained to me that I had to return this cell phone and the first I had. This whole process lasts 2 weeks to send me the new mobile device, and the truth is that I'm really annoyed.

Reported Samsung phone's damaged display claim to Assurant. Initial contact went well and I was promised a replacement phone. Two weeks later call was placed to Assurant about phone replacement status. Claim was not approved. After conversation with customer service, claim was finally entered in Assurant system with promised of having a replacement. A week later a denial letter was sent to me. I got T-Mobile in on this transaction to verified that I was indeed available. Again another denial came through the mail. Being frustrated with this run around, T- mobile again was called to be part of 3 way call to resolve the issue. Assurant supervisor was requested to get involved in this unresolved matter. After Assurant supervisor got in contact with headquarter my replacement phone was finally approved and it was en route to my address.
This ordeal was stressful and I would not wish it on nobody. My experience with Assurant did no got well and I was extremely disappointed. Customer service was following a script and failed the company guidelines to reach upper management to resolve an issue that could have been handled better and professionally. This was the worst mark I ever had to give to a company based on my 2nd experience with Assurant.

The entire experience could of been a lot easier and to my satisfaction if I would have been allowed to upgrade my device after being told they no longer had my model. But instead, I was forced to accept the model sent and return the crack device and then redo the entire process all over again... I found this whole ordeal to more exhausting than it had to be. I'm still have not been able to finish because I don't know what to do.

Updated on 12/07/2020: In November I damaged my phone. I was sent a phone that was sub-par at best. After two weeks of making phone calls and posting my review on this site, Brittany reach out to me. I must say that Brittany was very patient with me as I voiced my frustration and anger. My damaged phone was Android Note and I use that feature for all note taking in the hospital setting. The replacement phone was not comparable with the Note. I made calls to T-Mobile and Assurant, everyone told me there was nothing they could for me other than upgrade to a new phone. I was ready to write letters to Corporate.
Ms. Brittany reached out took the time to listen to my complaint. She took the time to explain in detail to me what options she had to help me resolve my complaint. I received calls from Brittany updating me on the progress she had made each day. She was honest, polite and demonstrated a high customer standard that frankly is almost non-existent these days. I can't thank her enough! Her customer service ethic and integrity was beyond outstanding. Thank you Brittany!
Original Review: On 10-18-2020 I damaged my Galaxy Note 5. After hours on the phone with customer service, I was informed that I needed to pay a $100 deductible in order to get a replacement phone. I was told the phone would be equal to or comparable to my current phone. I received the replacement phone, which is not Note telephone, but rather a Galaxy S7 edge. The problem I have with the replacement phone is that it is not a Note, it gets very hot when I use it, the apps keep opening up on their own, when I try to open an app it takes a while to open. I feel I did not get a good experience, nor did I get a phone that works properly. I am beyond disappointed with the entire transaction. I have made many phone calls to get this resolved, with no solutions. I am now writing letters to the Leadership team and to the TMobile Leadership team.

It was easy to receive came the next day. But to activate was a joke I tried to activate at home after work. I called and the only way that they could send me an code was to my broken phone. So I had to go into a store and get it fixed very inconsistent for me.

The person over the phone was helpful and nice. The only thing that really bothered me was that I began my process over the phone but had to complete it via email. My phone was completely inaccessible due to the damage of the screen, so I went to a store when I wasn't sure what my options were at the time. We started the claim there. I was then told I'd receive a link. I then had to go back home to complete. The expectation that people have another electronic device available that can access email is reasonable as most may, but this is not the case for everyone. Therefore, for this reason the process should allow for completion over the phone. The other thing to consider is that I had a time restricted window of opportunity to submit the claim in order to receive my replacement next day. What if in the drive back home, I would have missed the window.
I also feel very unsecure that my phone was in great condition from the outside that it will probably be refurbished. According to the store attendant, the LCD was broken internally. I could not access anything from my phone in order to clear it. I would have preferred knowing that the phone would be destroyed or some alternate resolution that can bring me comfort in knowing my personal information is safe.

Cracked my screen on my phone, they forced me to get a different phone for $99, would only cost $29 for glass replacement. Had more trouble cause iCloud does not load everything I needed from my old phone. Don’t get sucked into this scam for insurance, would have been cheaper to just pay to get my screen replaced by paying for it myself and not paying insurance.

The First time I talked to someone that had heavy accent and he started my claim. I became busy and partly forgot about it. The next time I talked to someone that was in the States and she looked up my claim and told me that me that I didn't finish it, so she helped me finish my claim and everything went smooth from there.

I had an iPhone that was damaged by accidental screen damage from being dropped. Apple care was part of my plan, but they had very unreasonable criteria in which to accomplish the task of getting a replacement phone. So, working with Assurant was so easy and painless. It is hard to be without a phone these days, and they had the replacement phone out with in 2 days of my claim approval. It was so easy to send the damaged phone back. I appreciated their help on the phone as well.

This was the smoothest transaction ever. I simply explained my problem and the rep was exceptional. She immediately placed my replacement order and it was done. The ONLY glitch was in me having to call the to verify when my phone arrived as no tracking was availed to me.

The starting phase of the claim was easy but then when I sent my device back in the packaging they have provided and I have not received notification that the device was received on their behalf. I have tracked my claim daily with no notification and it is close to the 10 day period.

I Arranged for a new phone, however it took almost a month to arrive. I paid the 250.00 deductible, 2 calls to find out what was holding up the delivery only to find out there was a serial number missing that needed to be entered, which is out of my control.

Was having problems with my phone not pairing to my SUV and not tracking my vehicle discount mileage. Phone had been dropped several time. I was directed to your website to complete my claim. How come, did you sent me a used phone when I paid more than two years and I only used it once. Which is Samsung S9+. If I knew, I would never add to my bill. So, I am not satisfy with your insurance.

This claim took forever. While on paper the claim I started was opened and fulfilled on the 21st it actually began with a different claim on the 18th. I called the carrier who directed me to contact insurance with an issue on the phone and insurance just didn’t want to fulfill the transaction. Instead they gave me the runaround directing me to Apple then making me have the carrier on the phone for a 3 way call because of an address discrepancy that did not exist and even saying to the carrier who was on 3 way that his information in the computer was not right. Long story short, on the 18th after 3 hours of back and forth phone calls and being hung up on by supervisors at least twice Assurant blocked the claim and wasted everyone’s morning. Only to approve a different claim in 2 days. I hope I never need these jokesters again.

I don't know why I have opted for the insurance which is no use for me. This is the second time I received a replacement time and the device already started giving me trouble. Whenever I move out of Wifi network, I don't get any mobile internet, each time I had to restart the device for mobile network network. Also, whenever I try to use map to during drive, the map applications hung or half of the screen goes dark. The same issue I was having my 1st replacement phone which I thought of software issue and I adjusted with that but the second replacement also have same issue and few more issues. Why I need to pay $149 to get a old and faulty mobile phone as replacement.

I received my replacement and at the first drop with screen protector and case the tablet goes black and cracked internally. It’s not fair to send out bad replacement and should be more aware of the type of products they are shipping out.

Never will I use Assurant again. Denied claims that eventually become approved if you just keep calling back over and over until you get someone who knows how to do their job. You said.. "Phone is not covered as IMEI is not in our system.. call Samsung". Samsung says, "The device IS covered and the IMEI you have is the IMEI that was given to them in 2018. Call Assurant back." Back and forth for 3 days. Learned my lesson with your company... I will be canceling all my insurance with you because quite frankly, paying $800 for a new phone instead of dealing with your company is preferable. Never again!
