I waited for over 2 weeks to get any sort of update on my claim and it wasn't until I inquired through the online chat that I learned they needed some documents from me. This was frustrating. Also sent me on a game of pong between them and FedEx.

My phone dropped right onto something that broke the glass that covers the outer camera. And also developed a purple/pink line over my entire screen. I filed a claim through my T-Mobile app and Assurant sent me a replacement phone the very next day!

I had an account with your company last year. There are many issues that I had which created my being without service for several weeks. One of your employees misinformed me on troubleshooting and it destroyed my software prior to gaining service on it. In addition, I had my service compromised due to an unfortunate incident where someone started service with another provider in my name and you disconnected service with you. I made several attempts to rectify the situation and make a claim and restart service but got nowhere. Responsibility shifted from Lifeline to Assurant and back again and when I asked for an accounting of service calls documented regarding my situation, none could be given.
Their recording while on hold mentioned that calls are recorded but they had no records of call regarding this. Is it standard to ask for my mother's maiden name and property owned? I was asked detailed questions not pertaining to my service as well. I became increasingly concerned with the privacy of my information and was turned away when attempting to discuss matters with your staff on the ground. My service continued to pend through 6 weeks making it impossible to switch companies and couldn't afford to start private service elsewhere due to financial reasons.
I believe that there are groups of people unrelated to the county or state that are using your company to gain knowledge of whereabouts or information on persons of interest as kept continuously getting viruses and theft of my service with no help. I witnessed workers selling phones that weren't customary to service set up for under the table for $20 each and pocketing the money. This was happening through South Los Angeles and San Pedro California. People were claiming that they were being followed by above mentioned outside parties who have gained access to your service illegally. You should really start an internal employee investigation as it is grossly negligent.

Easy form to fill out and send/received new phone next morning. Mail old phone that afternoon, received email it was on the way. Very pleased with the customer service of Assurant. Glad I have the insurance on my phone's.

I file a replacement and the customer service was great. Shipping was quick and reliable. I would recommend at any time... Shipment was within 2 business day... When I call in the service was 100 percent accurate.

I was sent a replacement iPhone right away, but the phone was defective, I returned the phone and was sent another one, which was also defective, I sent it back right away, I’ve been without a phone for 10 days! I asked the last person I spoke with to request they try the phone before they send it out, they asked me if I wanted to upgrade my phone, he said my phone was only worth $24, after paying $12 a month since I got the phone, I feel like I’ve been robbed! This is just not right! I’m retired and on a limited income, I cannot afford a new phone, that why I kept paying the insurance on it. This is just wrong! I will NEVER refer anyone to get this insurance! Dumb founded ????

Filed a claim on my Xfinity phone. Got a replacement immediately. Had a problem with the replacement so I sent it back and received the second replacement with no hassle. Everyone was courteous and helpful.

Not satisfied because my replacement phone took 9 days for me to receive it. The two employees working on my claim didn’t put in correct address. First time with FedEx and second time with UPS. They didn’t not put proper apartment number on package. I had to drive almost 10 miles to retrieve my package. I hope they get it together.

The camera on my phone Galaxy J7 was damage and was unable to function properly, so I returned it to the store and they recommend a replacement, and within 5 days I received my replacement, and return the damaged phone to the company, I am now learning and enjoying my new phone, Thank you.

This experience was absolutely fabulous. I was not expecting to receive the phone the next day. I attempted to complete the replacement phone by calling customer service and I was transferred to two people before being told to file the complaint online. The first person I spoke with didn't seem to understand English well or what I was requesting.

It was fast. I paid the deductible and had my replacement phone the next day. My replacement phone is the same but yet different from what I was used to but I kept messing with it so I could get used to the setup of it.

Filing the claim was very easy to do. The replacement phone went out in a timely manner. The replacement phone is exactly what I had expected. What I didn't like was I had to go to CVS to pick up the replacement phone (when they have been sent directly to my house in the past). I also did not like the envelope that was provided to send the phone back. It had no cushion and sending it back could have caused even more damage to the phone. I also have not been told that the phone has been received from the company. I do not want to be charged $900 so an e-mail to let me know that they have received the phone would be helpful.

I was thrilled to see how smooth and fast getting my replacement phone was. I thought it would of been a long drawn out process, but thankfully it wasn't. The way my phone got damaged was borderline freak accident, so I wasn't sure if my claim would of went through. Thank you Assurant!

I broke my phone on 12-22-20. My phone was lost in the mail which led to an investigation but they refused to send a replacement for the holidays, which I spent without phone, which unfortunately is still the case. Their best offer has been $50.

I submitted my claim on 12/6 and paid the $10 fee. Never got a device until I reached out on 1/10 and was charged a second time. I replied back and stated I was double charged to 2 people. No one responds.

The claim was filed with ease and my new device arrived the next day as stated. Returning the damaged device was convenient with the postage paid envelope and all instructions provided. I tracked my device online to ensure it was received on time. I also like the various options to pay my deductible online, by phone or at a store location.

Awesome and quick. FedEx delivered my package to a street away so I wish it would of required a signature for delivery so maybe the mistake could of been avoided and I could of gotten my phone when It I was told it was delivered and didn’t have to stress over it but other than that excellent.

I had the worst experience ever with Assurant in order to get a replacement phone when my claim was placed on 12/25 and did not receive the replacement phone until January 14th which is ridiculous. And every time I called I got a different story. Was not satisfied at all.

Transaction was easy to initiate and was quickly processed but the return time was ridiculous. With COVID it was difficult to get the damaged phone mailed back out. I feel as though more than 10 days is needed for you guys to receive the phone I returned.

The service was quick. I submitted my claim on Saturday (01-09-21) and received my phone on Tuesday (01-12-21). The person that I chatted with on the chat service was also very helpful. They answered all my questions.

Probably the fastest service possibly granted for an insurance item. No complaints. Filing was easy and everything came exactly as I needed. They didn't send me the extra packaging and utilities for the phone which is a good thing as I already had those left over from the previous device. Everything was perfect.

The screen cracked of my cellphone was been approved for replacement. Assurant is very reachable and responsive to deal with. I am very satisfied and happy with their services. And the monthly service fee is affordable.

Garbage refurbished phone again... Doesn't work half the time, drops calls, won't connect to wifi... I have had to use my insurance several (4) times and 100% of the time I get a garbage phone that does not work! DON'T waste your money on this insurance!

The phone you sent was locked and would not recognize my sim. I contacted Tmobile for assistance as I thought I was doing something wrong. We factory reset it. Turned in on and off and whatever else you could think of. They determined it was unusable. T-mobile sent me another phone (which worked just fine when I inserted my sim) and I returned your phone to them. So I went additional days without a phone. Wasn't a happy camper.

Horrible service!!! If I could leave 0 stars I would. Received a phone with screen all scratched up. Looked like it was dragged across floor. Called to have them ship out a new replacement. They said I needed to send it back and be without a phone. I asked them to take my credit card info to secure I would return it and they would not budge, Horrible! I have since canceled my protection plan with your company. I rather pay full price for a new phone than pay you guys another dime. Let me remind you that I have never filed a claim and I have been paying for a protection plan for about 4 years. Plus my deductible now for a scratched phone! Smh. Where has the customer service gone to nowadays!!??

I hadn't received my replacement device, I did 2 @ the same time, so I called to find out why. They said they didn't have the sn, which was no asked for when I completed the request. I gave them that, they wanted to take the payment again. I used a visa prepaid gift card for these deductibles. They said it wasn't working. They rep asked me "do you even have enough money for this"? It was a $10 deductible. I told him he was being rude and asked him if he thought he asked a professional question. I asked him the same question, he tells me "nope, I don't get paid here I work for charity, this company doesn't pay me".
I eventually get to a supervisor who just gets a different payment and we eventually get the claim submitted, again. I got all the same notices as I did the first time. I was extremely surprised when I got the replacement this time. I would rather gauge my own eyes out with spoons made of mud than to do business with this company. But it's consistent every time... Consistently terrible. Also wouldn't be so bad if the website wasn't a complete mess pulled out of 2005.

I received the replacement phone faster than expected and the process was excellent. However, I have not been pleased with the product I received as it appears to be more limited in its function abilities. The service that I am receiving is not as good as the 4G service I had with my previous phone. This equipment is not comparable to my previous device which was Samsung Galaxy 8 Edge.

New device was suppose to been next day air. My packaged was received until 5 days later. While tracking the device it sat in Texas 3 days before being shipped. Once it made it to the delivery company, it was then sent to the wrong address. When I called the delivery company and the insurance claim company for the phone, I received help from awesome people. But their phone still took another day to be sent to the correct location. This makes me worry about using these services again.

I was on the road hiking when I filed my claim. I was staying in a pay per night accommodation. I was informed that I would receive my replacement on Monday January 11. I did not receive the replacement until late on Jan 12. This created my need to pay for two additional nights accommodations as I would have needed to start hiking in the dark. Very disappointing! Also, at this point and in the same case, the ear speaker on the replacement appears to be very low and hard to hear through. I have ordered a new case and will see if this makes a difference. Not excited about the entire situation.

I didn’t get a phone for 24 day!!! I must have called you guys 10+ times. Every time It was a different reason as to why it was taking so long. The worst communication ever! Had trouble getting the assistance online, but the actual speed of it being shipped out after all the file work. One big thing I dislike is that my replacement phone is having technical difficulties. My phone would start spasming out of nowhere, and the only way to fix it is resetting my phone. That is just a temporary fix because the phone would do it again later with no warning. Now that I paid for the deductible and continues monthly insurance charge for this service, I have a replacement phone that tweaks out. Highly disappointed.

I didn't complete the process properly the 1st time. I dropped my phone and cracked the screen when I arrived at an accident my daughter was in. I didn't my claim in right away because of being distracted. Assurant got me a new phone literally the next day. Assurant is awesome and the monthly premium is cheap. Thanks!

Drove to Ft Collins Colorado as we live in Cheyenne Wyoming and do not have Assurant here. Very friendly professional staff. Kept phone overnight. It was ready and fixed the next day as promised when we returned to pick up.

I am stationed in Germany with an APO ADDRESS. I have to ship the replacement to my home of record, then have a family member go to the post office, pay extra to send device to my APO address. I will not meet the return shipping of 1/19/2021 because I haven't received the device yet. Very inconvenient and disrespectful to those of us serving overseas.

Assurant has an online process which makes the claim very easy to use. They do have specific guidelines for when you place your claim when your device to be shipped, we submitted on a Friday and it shipped the next day. We’re happy with replacement device and overall service.

Whole process was pretty easy. Thank you for helping me get it done easily! I have sent back the old device. Only snag I ran into was that due to the behaviour of my old device I was not able to do a master reset on it. I was assured that the phone would be wiped clean in the process anyway and that I need not worry. I was also able to uninstall manually a lot of the more personal data on it.

My phone stopped charging. I told that to both the T-Mobile rep and the Assurant rep. Then I paid my $99 as instructed and awaited my reconditioned phone. In the meantime, I looked back at your website and realized that I shouldn't have been charged for the transaction because my issue was mechanical breakdown. When I called Assurant back, I was told all I could do was send you back the phone and start over with T Mobile. Since mine was a straightforward situation, I can only assume you do that to people on a regular basis hoping they won't notice you're taking them for $99. T Mobile made it right so we'll stay with them but I think we're probably better off without the insurance.

First two staff agents that I spoke with were unfriendly and rude. Next agent wanted to assist me with my problem but missed one number for me paying my in-store representative then the final agent corrected that mistake. Delivery was fast and efficient then the rest was based on my carrier.

My phone fell in a sink of water. I took it to US Cellular where they initiated a return for me. I paid for NEXT DAY SERVICE but apparently Assurant clicked on NEXT BUSINESS DAY because instead of Saturday delivery I got it on Monday afternoon. The paperwork backs this up. Anyway, I rescheduled my return visit to US Cellular for late Monday, and they were able to transfer and back up my info. I'm just unhappy that SATURDAY DELIVERY was on my original paperwork and on the claim form, but the packaging said MONDAY BY 4:30. I paid for something that was incorrectly entered by whoever packaged my new phone.

I cracked the screen on my Samsung Galaxy phone. I followed the steps on the Tech PHD app. It was easy to follow. They sent me a replacement phone quickly. They provided easy steps to follow to transfer the data from the old phone to the new one. They also provided a prepaid package to mail the old phone back. This is why I get insurance for all my phones.

Didn't care for the the lengthy time it took for my claims to be approved. I did not like that it wasn't any type of clarification or notation on the reason why my claim was on hold. I did not appreciate one of your employees hanging up on me. Even though I was a bit frantic, but I was still very unprofessional of her for a call specialist employee. Having patience should be the first quality of her job and the utmost important characteristic of any professional employee. This experience unlike a few others was very disappointing.
Me being with MetroPCS for so many years. I would not expect for someone working with a qualified company like T-Mobile and MetroPCS for their insurance company. Be so unprofessional and difficult about an insurance claim that we as consumers are dedicated to pay for monthly and most part we as the paying customer barely use most time unless otherwise necessary under dire circumstances. We don't deserve to be treated so poorly!
As far as your online process, I will be never doing that again! Your website is not very user friendly and to be honest it was very difficult to understand! I just didn't care for this experience I feel like, if someone has verified & provided necessary information with metro PCS and it's a notation on the account. That the claim process should not take 3 to 5 at all! Overall I love metro PCS products, kids were very happy with the quality of the phones, also I was happy that the claims were approved in the end.

Assurant agent was great in transferring data to new phone then sent to other agent to install new SIM card. I wasn't told correct action to take and ended up with old phone and new phone not being active. Used friend's landline to call 8009378997. On hold for 20 mins. I reported my problem and agent told me to call 611 then hung up. I tried to tell agent that 611 wasn't going to help me. I had to take taxi to T-Mobile store and they were very helpful. The agent who hung up on me should be taught that 611 is NOT always an option.

I have been on the phone with Assurant for 2 months trying to find this devices. I shipped it. Usps shows delivered. Everything went smoothly until it came to "scanning it in to the warehouse". A rep from assurant said they submitted a form for me, but now after checking in on the process, they're telling me they don't have forms to submit for devices they lose in their own warehouse.

Had purchased the "liquid glass" screen protector which, I will never do again as their warranty is useless. Was having to use my stylus as the screen did not respond to touch anymore. The phone as well as the screen was severely damaged. When the cracks started to spread, it was growing more difficult to use the stylus. Filed a claim through Assurant mid to late afternoon on a Thursday, had my new phone less than 24 hours later. No longer have to use my stylus.

The service was fast. No problem on receiving it. No damages to the phone. Setting up the service got my phone within 4 business days. When I called to set up the phone & keep the same number since it was just a replacement there was no problem at all, fast, quick & easy.

I had issues trying to make a claim, and I am having issues with the replacement device. I first tried making a claim thru their website and had issues trying to put in the credit card information. It wouldn’t let me add the zip code. After multiple attempts I then downloaded the app and tried to do the claim and it kept saying that my device was covered thru Apple which it wasn’t. So then, I tried to do it over the phone which was even worse because I didn’t have a passcode and I had to go thru T-Mobile. After a while my call got disconnected. After many frustrations I took a break and finally was able to complete it thru the website. The reason why I gave it 1 star was because I got my replacement device the next day. But now I’m having issues with it. Once it gets to 10% it turns off like if the battery died.

I am 100% Satisfied with Assurant. They had my New Phone to me in 20 hrs. I put in a claim around 4:00 pm and my new phone arrived by Noon the next day! No hassles, Super Fast and Exactly what I had lost. I Highly recommend this service!

I was ok with a different type of phone. A manual would've been nice to have though. Also a heads up that it was different would've been nice. Not happy with the color or the fact that I have to buy a new case.

I experience the worst experience of having my phone being dropped and damaged however going thru the process with Assurant assured me that all my worries would be taken care of and I wasn't disappointed at all. I received my device after their investigation was complete. Thank you again assurant.

When I received my replacement phone the battery was defective. It dies extremely fast and charges way slower than the phone that i turned in. I turned my phone in because of a cracked screen and was not expecting to get a worse phone back.

I filed a claim on Sunday January 3rd before 8:00 pm and did not received the replacement phone until Thursday January 7th. I was told the order didn’t get processed until January 6th. I had to call and complain before the order actually processed Correctly.

Got my replacement for my replacement tablet thanks to somebody with a brain who understood what the problem was and got me another tablet to get back up and running. Thanks to the people who had the intelligence enough to send me a new tablet while we waited on the old one that couldn't be activated to be returned.

Still waiting on my replacement tablet for my replacement tablet that I could not Activate. It's been a week now. Still waiting Auto replacement tablet after already paying my co-payment. Was informed could I receive a replacement for the defective replacement trailer. Replacement was received back at the office. This I don't agree with. Because I should have had a replacement for the replacement shipped immediately.

Two months before replacement phone arrived. Not the same color as original. Scratches on replacement phone. Customer service didn't return calls or emails. Hold times were 45 minutes to an hour. Very disappointed.

I called 4 times. Finally the 4th time someone that spoke proper English attended me. Is unbelievable that we live in this country of USA and we get such horrible service speaking with people from third world countries that don’t speak or understand proper English plus all the questions you ask. Get to the point and report a lost phone and send me a replacement. Why so many questions?

I received my replacement phone after my phone was stolen. The phone came without a case or screen protector or charger. Considering my phone was still new and those things were on my phone when it was stolen I felt that at least should have been replaced as well.

I reach out to replace a LG Thin G7 Q phone. I had a cracked up back of the phone. Also it wasn't charging like it was supposed to do. I reach out to T-Mobile to get a replacement and said that if I paid my 100 dollar deductible I could get a brand new one would I did and the process was very quick and the lady I spoke with was very professional and polite and Knowledgeable about the process with I was going through so they sent the phone with a return envelope to sent my old phone back plus I got my new phone within 24 hours of me placing my claim. So that was the best part of the situation.

They handled the claim quickly and it was the correct item that was replaced but the replacement device is not fully functional and needs to be replaced also... I don't believe this to be any fault of the company. Just an everyday defect of the phone itself. Sure this will also be handled quickly and completely to my satisfaction.

I filed a claim on January 5, 2021 and the iPad I received was refurbished. It would not hold a charge then it finally died with 17% battery left on it and then it wouldn't come back on. I have tried 5 different chargers and it still will not charge.

It took 9 days to get my phone working. It took 7 days to get it after I paid for it. I called and called finally I was told that you needed the person ID I was in a group with. I sent my Id for 3 days before I was told this. Then it took 4 more days to get the phone at night without the pin to open it with, so I had to wait until the next day to go to the office.

I put in a claim and set my old phone in during the allotted time period. I got a $400 charge on my bill for failure to return it. They did nothing to try and track it to see if I sent it. I called my phone provider and they confirmed that I returned it because the rep actually looked at the tracking history. Still actually waiting for the charge to be removed. They charge too much to begin with and then can't even track a package.... Time to find another insurance provider.

My daughter was a victim of grand theft. We have a police report. Her cellphone was taken off the counter right in front of her when the guy ran out. I have two insurance and still had to pay 250 dollars. I can understand to pay 99.00 but since it was stolen it was more. Not fair. I feel victimized twice. I am a long term member with a low income but continue making the multi billion phone company richer. Would you consider changing some rules for victims like my daughter and myself since I pay for any circumstance attached to 5 lines. Thank you.

Not happy. Or good service. I started a claim for my REVVL 5G and keep getting it denied because their system is not updated to T-Mobile. Call. Call. Call. nothing. Got told their system don't show a Revvl 5g on my account. After 2 weeks I had to mobile call them and verify. And I thought finally but after the Assurant agent approved it somehow it was denied again. Well me and t-mobile call 3 way and got it approved. Then instead of 24 hour shipping I get it 3 days later. AND FOR ALL MY TROUBLE I GOT TO gO THROUGH WITH ASSURANT I STILL WAS CHARGED tHE Deductible. 2 weeks? Wow 1 star service..

I called several times and the first time it was on a Saturday and I didn't receive enough information on what to do but on Monday I received great assistance. The temporary phone I bought at T-mobile did not work properly but the lady helping me from Assurant, even though she couldn't hear me I could hear her, she was able to assist me and I received my phone in an amazing timely manner. I had lost my phone and I made a claim for a lost device. 3 day later my phone was return but it was damage. The rep I spoke with did not do what I ask and mess up my claim. I had to call you guys over 10 times with no exaggeration. It took about a month for me to get my device. Worse service.

The rep that first got my call did not help in any way and was not understanding my question. She just told me to call back in 24hrs and may I would have better luck. Then when I asked to be transferred to manager my was hung up and they did not even attempt to call me back. I had better luck doing everything online than to be helped by a live rep. They have really bad customer service for them to represent Tmobile.

Recently it was necessary for me to contact Assurant for a replacement cellphone, because my phone was cracked after two drops. Xfinity put me through to the Assurant Rep and everything went very smoothly. The Rep asked for specific dates that I dropped my phone. He took note and explained the way Assurant process a claim as well as how long it would take to receive a replacement phone. I was sent a link to pay the fees for the claim. I literally received the phone in less than 48 hrs. It seemed Like I may have received the new phone in 24 hrs. I was sent everything I needed to return the damaged phone w/o incurring a charge. This is an excellent replacement service. I would recommend to friends and family.

Filing is easy enough, but the process of approving is slow and very lay back from Assurant side. For this claim, the iPhone storage details were missing, Assurant supposedly called my husbands cell but no message was left, and no email was sent to us. 3 days later I had to call to figure out why it was still in pending status and that's when I found out about the call. If you call, leave a message and or send an email informing of the delay. This is the 3rd time something like this happens to people in my cycle. I am looking into other options for cellphone insurance.

I had a mechanical issue with my phone but you wouldn't honor that due to a broken screen, that had been broken for 1.5 yrs. Paid my $150 for a refurbished 5 yr old phone. When it arrived the screen was broken. Didn't report it because I am sure they would blame it on me just like they wouldn't cover my prior phone.

My device fell and the corner chipped, I submitted a claim to have it replaced, I was told over the telephone that I had to go online to submit the request. Once I submitted the request it was processed in a timely manner, I received the replacement in 4 days.

Process to replace phone took too long. It should not take more than 24 hours to process a claim. Phone replacement is done because a phone is not working. To have someone without a device longer than 24-48 hours is unacceptable. The process of submitting a claim is cumbersome and the process for checking claim status is worse as the software being used on your site does not work.

Information was gjven to me at the time of the initial claim being processed. There was a 50$ claim deductible which i understand but nobody told me that there was going to be an additional 23$ payment at the time of arrival of the product or else the product did not work. I am VERY unsatisfied with this company in many ways and will be switching phone carriers along with insurance plans.

I felt my second insurance claim and replacement process involved more hassle than necessary. Especially compared to my first insurance claim. I have no complaints other than the length of time it took from start to finish and that I had to call customer service for my second insurance claim to be considered. Honestly, I feel that, overall, it was a very easy process. So much so that even a child would be able to do it. That's an important asset to your service and I commend you for it. I was initially told it would be overnighted to my home. However, since I ordered it on a Friday afternoon, I understood when it didn't arrive until Monday. Overall, I don't have any complaints about my replacement device. I had initially lost my other Pixel 4, and was upset over the whole ordeal. Today I am just appreciative to have a working Pixel in my hands.

During this covid crisis, it been months since my wife and I have been united with our autistic child at a residential school. Our only means of contact is Facetime by phone. He ran away anxiously through the woods and lost the phone in the freezing rain. He's safe now. We're thankfully for the replacement.

Timely response on getting replacement phone. Dissatisfied with phone I received. Replacement phone was smaller and model was a X and should of been a Apple XR. The representative I was talking to had me tell him my debit card number 5 times, made me very nervous.

I made a claim and they sent me a cell phone that was already active in another account, I've been trying to solve this for more than a week and they don't do it, it's ridiculous how can you send a cell phone that the IMEI belongs to another account. My claim was from January 2 and it is already 11 and nothing that they solve for me. I am paying a line for nothing. I am very upset and angry with this company.

Once I got to someone who help me get through the process, everything was excellent. I had to call in a couple of times to complete the process, because previous personnel did not inform me that there was more steps to complete.

I was satisfied with the service I received for replacing my damaged phone. Only issue was new phone's battery was not fully charged and I had to wait for an hour to update the new phone before transferring data.

Ordered replacement phone from insurance. It was lost in transit to be delivered to me and neither you guys nor UPS knew what happened to my package... so it was very inconvenient for me to have to wait and go thru the whole claims process all over again all because you guys made a mistake on your end.. And my bank account says I was charged TWICE WHEN I ONLY WAS FILING 1 CLAIM FOR 1 PHONE!. SO I DEMAND THE EXTRA 249$ REFUNDED ASAP!... THANKS.

I didn't receive my phone and the place I was at they kept my phone and not giving it to me. I keep calling them and they not answering the phone and before that I was trying to call Fed ex and never pick up the phone.

It took up to 5-7 calls to finally get a representative for cell replacement. It should not have required SO much effort. While once processed, overall experience in last three years and replacement process, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Made a claim with Assurant through my insurance with metro pcs due to broken/cracked screen which made my phone unable to use entirely! Was replaced with what looked like a refurbished phone with scratches on the back. The phone I originally purchased was purple on the back and the one replaced is black and looks used! I didn't purchase a used phone so why was it replaced with one?

I’ve enacted my Assurant policy before with my same iPhone XR last year. I hate seeing the phone insurance line on my monthly bill but it is impossible to complain about when a replacement phone is only $99 and a few days away. This is especially true when I only have a few more payments to pay off my phone. I’m not looking to upgrade since my XR suits all my needs. My advice is to all iPhone holders, before you use Assurant as means to fix/replace your phone, you need to check apple.com to see if your phone is still covered under your standard AppleCare/+ warranty. You can have 2 incidents in the first year. Otherwise, use Assurant, file your claim, pay the deductible and watch your tracking info till your phone is delivered to your doorstep. Don’t forget to return your damaged device using their prepaid envelope. And don’t forget to turn off your locator before you seal that envelope.
Assurant is goal driven to help you replace your phone, not the other way around, if you are attempting to fraudulently file a claim, these guys have heard every possible scenario and load of hot garbage so don’t even waste your time or theirs. Lastly, to all you jerks out there that are using your phone while driving, and you know what I’m talking about, your ** needs to stop. There is no text message or call that is worth your life or someone else’s. Siri or Google can do virtually anything with your communications so your hands and attention won’t be monopolized. I submitted a claim for a cracked screen on my Google Pixel 4a 5G, I was under the impression when I submitted the claim that I was going to receive the same model back that I currently had. Unfortunately when I received my replacement it was a Samsung Galaxy 8+, a nearly 4 year old phone that T-Mobile recently offered ~$67 for. It does not have 5G capabilities and it does not have the call screening from Google nor does it include unlimited upload support to Google Photos that I had purchased the Google Pixel 4a 5G for.
On top of that, the memory and storage capacities are lower. While I have spoken to Assurant and attempted to get an acceptable replacement I have not yet received an acceptable replacement. I just want the same phone back, not an upgrade, not a downgrade, the same phone, Google even has them in stock currently, so I'm not sure why it's an issue. Heck I would even pick one up at a local T-Mobile store but the representative there warned me they got shafted by Assurant in a similar situation because they said they wouldn't reimburse them for the replacement phone from T-Mobile. So now I am extra cautious about what Assurant representatives are telling me on the phone replacement. If I could get a Google branded phone with 5 G capabilities I'd be happy.

It took me more than 2 weeks for them to verify my coverage. It was an AWFUL experience AND Assurant reps kept telling me different information. IT WAS SO AWFUL. I was without a phone from 12/21/20- 1/5/2021 and no one cared. I was unable to contact my family over the holidays and I live alone. If I didn't have emails my family thought I was in danger. It was a miserable feeling. Assurant IS THE WORST.

I took to my local tmobile. ** was the sales person in 220 N. Azusa Ave Covina Calif. He put it together for me so I wouldn't have problems with my phone. I give him 10 all the way with everything, customer service and putting my phone together for me helping me get my phone information corrected. He is a great t mobile rep for that store. Because I thought everything was put together for me but wasn't but ** did it for me. For that I am happy he did.

I cracked my phone screen after it fell out of my pocket. I went to US Cellular and they said to go to the Assurant website and file a claim. So I did and expected to have a work order number and have the screen fixed locally. But they sent me a new phone instead. Process was super easy and shipping was quick on their part. Highly recommend.

An inconsiderate biker drove into my grandson and knocked the phone from his hand. The screen was immediately smashed and the phone would not turn on or charge. We contacted Assurant. A very kind and compassionate agent took our information down for the claim. 2 days later, we received an email with instructions that a replacement phone would arrive within 7 days, and further instructions to return the broken phone when the new phone arrived. We were very happy to receive the new phone, as scheduled, and returned the phone the same day. We are grateful for the professional agents who handled our claim.

Phone did not look like the last phone I had. Was also sent a blank Sims card and was told by Spectrum that I would have to go to a Spectrum store and get another card. That was a 1 hour round trip. Guess I'm just glad to have a phone back after doing without one for a week. They ship with FedEx which is horrible about getting packages on time.

That not cool at & your customer service worker are so freaking rude, they talk over you. I'm the paying customer. You send the device only not accessories. No charger. No Headphones. Only the device send to me is no possible. The device come with charger, headphones and more. Now I need new charger to make my device work.

I mailed the phone back on 10/09/20 and have now been billed $510.00 because your company says they never got it. However there is no tracking number for the return package so I am not able to file a claim. Not fair especially during this time when customers and the mail service is struggling.

I was approved for my claim on 12/14/20, and have yet to receive my phone. Called numerous times, about the third call I was told to open an investigation. It's almost a month still no phone. I was told that I have to wait for Assurant to do an investigation. Meanwhile still no phone. I was told it may take 10 to 15 additional business days to do so. No phone during the holidays. Could you imagine. Can't believe this company won't send out a replacement phone immediately. Why do I have to be punished without a phone because Assurant or UPS has dropped the ball. I pay every month for insurance for years, plus the copay. Assurant all I want is my replacement phone, not the runaround! I didn't even want to give the one star!

US Cellular office in Ada was very helpful in filing replacement claim. The claim was approved fast and new equipment was sent immediately.. The same phone was sent. The Ada office was so helpful in getting the replacement phone activated. And very informative on how to transfer contacts and info to new phone. Customer service with both companies was outstanding. Gave a four star out of five because T-Mobile gave me a new phone, but the phone I received was a phone that was locked for some reason. The problem was resolved once I went back to the T-mobile store. It took about a hour.

When contacting Assurant the phone computer operator made it simple to get a hold of an actual person. The person really helped the process to get a replacement phone. She was kind and funny. This was a great experience and we received the phone very quickly. We have since transferred all of the data into the new phone and sent the old one back. Thank you.

Assurant replaced one of our phones in 9/2020. We paid the deductible and they sent a replacement device. It turns out the replacement was a re-certified phone and not brand new. 3 months later, the phone is non-functional. We had to send it off to AppleCare to be replaced. I had to issue $998 temporary payment while Apple sends out another replacement device. It's unacceptable that I had to pay a $99 deductible for a device that fails in 3 months. I've been paying for Assurant for years and this is a disappointing experience from Assurant.

Updated on 1/13/2021: The phone has been approved on Saturday (the replacement phone for the malfunctional replacement phone that we were sent)... Now is Wednesday and my wife has no phone, Mind you she teaches Autisms 10 year old kids and having phone is an absolute necessity. UPS has no idea where the phone is???? I've had phone insurance for over 20 years, paying for 4 phones $$$$ and never had this problem before.
Original review: The replacement phone is acting up and the screen has a tiny crack. I have to FedEx the phone back in order to get a replacement for the replacement phone ???♂️ So how am I gonna transfer the phone data if I don't have a phone????

I filed my claim online the first time and the claim was denied. I Went to the T-Mobile store to inquire about it and they told me it was better to call the claim center to file. I did that and they told me to check my text and follow the link and I had to put a little more info on the claim and I submitted it. It was approved and the next day, I had a new phone. They were great and I most likely completed the claim incorrectly the first time so I recommend you call and they will get the specific required info on your claim so the approval will be more likely. So I am very happy with the service I paid for and they were very quick to get a replacement phone. Thanks.

I dropped my phone and called Xfinity to get help and was sent to you. I just wanted easy suggestions which I did not get. They sent me a phone which took much more than a week and charged me $40 deductible. In the meantime, I turned my phone off and on and it was fixed. I'm an old lady and just wanted help over the phone. I used to have a TMobile account, and they were very helpful whenever I needed it. I can't say the same for Xfinity and Assurant. Please advise me on how to get my $40 back and what to do with the new phone that is not even opened.

Replacement of broken phone-LG K7. The phone was dropped resulting in a broken screen. The screen could not be utilized after the drop. Phone was replaced with no issue and I was very satisfied and will be returning the old phone.

I can't get my phone without first mailing mine in but I already paid a $50 deductible fee and received a new phone and activated it. Metro PCS via their warranty dept sent me a broken new phone. I need my phone before getting a new one due to serious crisis mental health issues and I absolutely need to have access to incoming calls from medical care personnel. I have run into problems with my metro pcs warranty dept twice now.

I was sold the Assurant insurance by the TMobile salesperson at Military Highway store in Norfolk that would cover "everything". Well, when I went to Assurant to file a claim for my son's phone dying upon dropping it, I was told tough luck. At this point I filed a claim with the FCC against TMobile and Assurant. They finally replaced the phone.

I feel like I was lied to to several times by agents and techs. Filed claim for a Google Pixel 4A 5g and was sent a Samsung 8plus (a phone 2.5 yr older) and was told it's comparable while I'm still paying a installment in the phone that was damaged. How??? Why send a phone so much older and then tell me it was selected by Tmobile as a comp replacement. IT'S A TRUE BAIT AND SWITCH on the insurance claim side. I've called 3 times to follow up on this and was told to select 3 phones as a better replacement only to be told that the phone sent to me will do as a comp. It's not the same brand, or specs and the memory is less. Lies and deceit. I should have been asked about an option before one was selected for me that was 3 yrs older. 14 year customer...no customer service at all. I was told to write to corporate...

Upon receiving phone...discovered it was wrong. Instead of sending a One+ 8 phone...we were sent a Samsung 20 in error. There was no way to work around this. Phone had to be returned for the requested One+ 8 phone or a reason why they could not provide this phone. In the process I'm getting emails they have phones but when I call for status they're saying they don't have them & requesting I do this over. Problem...they have the phones and I don't. I was transferred to a supervisor who sounded like she was reading a script about the process. None of it applies to what actually happened. I'm so frustrated & don't know what to do. They still have $198.00 to refund to me plus a phone One+ 8.

As per the usual nightmare of having to deal with Assurant mobile insurance, this experience was no different. In fact it was markedly worse. I received my phone with a busted screen on the evening of Dec 30th. Upon calling two days later to report the busted screen I was handled rudely, and offered no consolation for my troubles. Assurant has what is called a monopoly on mobile insurance. There is no other option, therefore they can treat you however they like. This sucks.

I was told I would get a phone within 24 hours. I understand my claim on a weekend so I would have taken a little longer. However it took a week before I received my replacement. When I first did the claim online the last page with the payment information froze so I emailed right away asking if my payment went through. 48 hours later I received a response saying they needed the serial number, munch about payment which is what I asked. I wanted to make sure it went through because a holiday was coming up and I needed a phone.
I luckily still had the box because I had told them the device was lost, not sure how they expect people to know that number when the phone is lost our stolen. I sent the number right away. Another 24 hours later they responded saying they needed payment. I went and paid right away since I needed the phone before the holiday. I did not get the phone before the holiday and waited 2 more days before I received my device. Any time I called I did not get any help and I was trying so hard to get it before the holiday so I could travel and contact my family. It took so long before they responded and if they had told me right away the payment didn't go through I could have had it earlier. It would have been easier to pay for a new phone.

Your company sucks, and your people are extremely incompetent. It took a month to get this resolved. Your people are very rude, and no understanding of what your customers need. If it weren't because I deal with Tmobile, I would care less about your company.

They took my information on the phone and said they would email me, after 5 hours, I went on the web page and there was no information. I called again and they actually filled it out this time. I again had to go on the web to finish and pay for the claim. There is a blue chat box on the lower left. They are always busy. When you do get through they said to call the center. When I called the center they said to go on the web. It took me two days to do a simple claim. Would not recommend this company. Bad service.

Next day delivery, painless, no questions asked... loved it. Both my kids were happy. And it came with a RMA sticker, absolutely convenient. I would recommend this service to all. I might even add this to my dad’s phone.

Fast and easy. My wife dropped her phone. The screen cracked. We called. Within 10 minutes we were paying our deductible and her new phone was on the way within 48hrs even during the Christmas crunch. It was amazing!
