    Horrible experience! They could not even replace the device that I purchased. The customer service was horrible. They had inaccurate information I had to call several times in over the span of three months. Asked for managers to return my call and never received a call back. Assurant did not want to partners with me the customer, nor did they want to partner with my cell phone carrier who’ve been with for over five years!

    I have been paying $6 a month from Oct.2019 -Jan.2021 then paid a $60 deductible. I was sent a refurbished phone with no charger, no cord, no tool, or information on how to insert the sim card. I had to request a charger & was informed accessories were not covered! I finally got the replacement Samsung charger & all the phone would do was spin looking for wifi & it would not activate. I called & it was determined that I had to return it & I was told I would be sent new stickers to return the refurbished phone but what I received was a email requesting to validate I had filed the claim! I never received the new stickers tho I waited days for them to be delivered!!!

    When I called my phone provided I was assured that once the phone was scanned in @ the post office my phone would be replaced! Days later I called & was told they didn't have the phone (I was cut off 2 of 3 calls) & on the third call I explained that we still get our mail @ the door & unless I receive mail the mailman wouldn't see I had a package going out so I had walked it to the truck myself! I ask if they didn't insure their packages & no they don't & it's somehow my responsibility to find their missing package???!

    So they have kept my money, caused me $1500 in fines because I could not receive phone calls and a rif with my doctor. It's now over 2 months & I bought a cheap temp phone out of absolute necessity & so they have refused to fulfill our contract. Is it worth paying a lawyer Morality? Yes! But financially? No???? I contacted T-Mobile who sold me the policy & drafts payments monthly for the insurance but takes no responsibility & treated me like I had bought this insurance without their Ad and marketing being provided to me by the phone provider. If I bought tires & one was defective I would return to the auto shop, not the manufacturer.

    I’m giving 3 stars only because I was charged for not sending in a phone that was already received and it made my phone bill high by 150.00 dollars. I sent the damage phone in the same day I received the replacement phone and two months later I’m charged saying they didn’t receive it when it was there.

    When making my second claim I felt as if I was being judged. I was told after 48 hours that I had to wait another 24 hours which took about I want to say 72 hours before the claim was approved. I was being referred back to the website. I was having trouble with the website. It took a T-Mobile agent in order to help me push my claim through. I’ve had Assurant with my carrier for over two years. Never filed a claim until now and it was the worst experience.

Supposedly they sent an email which I did not receive. After I sent it and waited another 24hrs I called again and they claimed it wasn't account holders ID which after verifying since I called, they finally said they would resubmit claim

    I had to file a replacement claim in late November after breaking my Note 10+, and they did not have any replacement devices so I was told that I would have to purchase another device out of pocket and I would be reimbursed. Because I was no longer eligible to continue any new plans with Xfinity Mobile, I had to pick up a new phone plan with AT&T and I'm now paying two phone bills; both the new plan, and the installments on my old device.

    After many, many hiccups to get the receipt for the new device approved, I was approved for the reimbursement but have been waiting for over 2 months to actually receive a check. I have talked to their customer service over 10 times and been told at least three times that a check was literally in the mail when that was a blatant lie to ease my feelings. What essentially happens, is that when you are approved for a reimbursement with level one team over in their customer service who sends a request through a ticketing system to the payables department who just may or may not ever respond to the request, and if it sits pending for weeks on end you will never get an explanation as to why they are not processing it. I assume they're just going to leave it like this hoping that one day I'll just forget about the $1,100 check I'm not receiving while I'm paying two phone bills.

    The level one team also has no way to contact the payables department and completely has their hands tied behind their back to help me with this situation at all, which is abysmal. They also will not contact you if the payables department has any issue. I am being bled dry with no explanation at all beyond calling literally once a week to check if my ticket is still open and the only thing they can do is status update request the ticket pending to payables until one day someone does their job or tells us why they can't. I will never be using Assurant for a phone plan again nor will my family as I will not pay for a service I cannot reliably receive and behavior that nearly seems fraudulent if it wasn't such a big name.

    I filled a claim for a Galaxy S8 and received a different phone. Assurant insists not having ANY Galaxy S phones which are the ONLY Galaxy line of devices I've had on my account with Tmobile and Assurant for OVER 10years! I continue to follow up and Assurant is not only giving me a hard time but are very dismissive of my concerns. This is all following a Fraud on my account made DIRECTLY by a Tmobile employee who accessed and stole my information to commit fraud!     This company sucks. I will never use them again, I was not made aware that someone has to be home to sign for delivery. I work and called this company And explain that to them.     2 emails from Assurant confirmed that my application for a phone replacement (phone got wet, battery started draining fast) with Assurant was denied. There’s a 3 month period, from the date of damage as it turns out, that you could apply for a phone replacement. This was never made explicitly clear. There’s also a pandemic and I have a 5 yr old son to take care of. I didn’t think it was the best idea to prioritize the replacement of my cellphone over the needs of my family, our mortgage, and utilities, so I decided to wait it out. Too bad.

    From a consumer’s perspective, I guess things make little sense. My old phone (I’ve gotten a secondhand replacement since) is just as broken as it was. In essence, I also ended up paying Assurant more in Coverage Protection, only to be denied a third time by a specialist that got in touch to confirm the date of damage. The third ‘no’ just made me feel worse. Some hope was revived there for a bit.. All in all I think getting Coverage Protection with Assurant via Tmobile was a bad idea. Based on my history of cellphone use, I’ve mostly been responsible with my cellphones.

    Apple often comes out with new models = older iPhones devalue FAST. I needed a replacement for my iPhone 7. A new iPhone 7 in 2021 costs nowhere near as much as it did 3 yrs. ago. If I’d just bought a new iPhone 7 and didn’t get Coverage Protection, I wouldn’t have spent nearly $600, nor would I have been subject to this company’s terms and conditions. Even an upgrade is better. A new iPhone 8 has a minimum of 64GB data, and costs $200+. With Tmobile’s Coverage Protection, I paid nearly $600 in 3 years. Was it worth it? Better think it through.

    I placed a claim on Wed evening, and my device did not arrive until Monday morning. I spoke with staff members on Thursday and Friday and I was transferred to T-Mobile main customer service in an attempt to "dump" me for simply inquiring about the status of my Order and why I pay for a service that guarantees overnight shipping and next day delivery before 8pm.

    When I made the claim Assurant tried saying I had no insurance on the device at the time of the claim, even though I had been making all my payments on time and paying an extra $12/month for the device protection. Then after calling back again, they gave me a run around about how it was insured but wouldn’t cover screen replacements. Bluegrass had to reach out to them personally for them to finally approve it. It took 2 months to get it resolved and to receive a replacement device. Worst experience.

    Spent approx 4 hours on the phone being bounced between Assurant and T-mobile just to have phone replacement issue resolved. Customer should not have to take unnecessary steps in your "policy and procedures"... especially when the customer pays for "insurance".. Only after 4 hrs on the phone did issue finally get resolved.. T-mobile and Assurant should really review their policy and procedures. Shouldn't make the customer "consumer" have to be bounced back and forth between 2 corporations for a simple fix. Without the consumer, there is no corporations.. I can only hope that this lands on the correct desk for proper review..

    Poor customer service both via the online chat function and calling in to speak with someone directly. The system provided me with a payment confirmation when placing the order but as it turns out, the system did not accept my payment. My order just sat in the system for several days with no feedback form Assurant. I tried to track the order numerous times on the website which is not user friendly at all but each time received a generic message stating the approval process could take several days. After almost a week, I finally decided to call in only to be given the runaround. It took 4-5 calls before reaching the last representative who then advised me of the issue. Overall, I was without a replacement device for over a week. Terrible service and I really wish there was another option for TMobile customers.

    I have used Assurant many times and have been completely happy with their replacement services. The turnaround to receive new equipment is amazing, their customer service is helpful and the process as a whole is just excellent. With that said... my latest return has left me a little upset. It may seem sorta petty but for me it really didn't sit well. I finally bought a phone without having to make payments on it!! An expensive phone direct from Samsung and wouldn't even use it until insuring it through my carrier. I had meticulously cared for my phone with protective screen cover and case until one morning last week I woke up to a crack in my screen. (I still do not have an answer from my family on how it happened while I was sleeping.) No biggie, right? I have insurance.

    I used my insurance to get a replacement for my device and everything went so smooth as always. Except one minor thing that normally wouldn't be a big deal but was for me because I actually bought and paid for a phone for once. They sent me a replacement in BLACK!! I know. Ridiculous. But I spent a lot of money on a pink phone. :-( I made that choice to be a little crazy with my phone for once and I was soo proud I was not making payments on a phone. So to be sent a black phone as replacement for a pink one really upset me. I called Assurant already knowing what their response to this would be. No guarantee for same color replacement. :-( I called my carrier and they sympathized enough with me to offer to try and trade the phone in for the same model in the pink I had originally chosen.

    Unfortunately since it is not the newest model, they did not have it available. My carrier did then offer to trade the phone for a newer model in a variety of new color choices. (Great upsell moment, I know LOL) Since I paid for the phone in full, it will be an even trade so I guess at the end of all this there is some resolution.

    That is all. I am still happy with the service, the speed, the pricing, etc. But perhaps in the future, if someone has a colored phone... Replace their phone with the same color or warn them first. It was just such a huge disappointment. Thanks.

    I talked to a woman named Cheryl about a refund. She was very unprofessional. She was talking very fast on the phone and after I asked her twice (nicely) to slow down she said “that’s just the way I am” and proceeded to talk fast.     I am very disappointed with Assurant because they sent me a replacement that was very glitchy. The back of the phone had a scratch by the flash, there was some damage on top the aluminum frame and the camera bump was all bent.     From the very first moment I called to file my claim everything was bad! I had to call twice and still received no tracking number. The 3rd time I sent an email they sent a sorry email back with a tracking number. It took 9 days to get my phone! And when I opened the package it's the wrong color!     My phone was stolen and I put in a claim on Dec 28 2020. I was asked to send my ID in which I did. No one contacted me so when I called back a week later. I'm asked to download my ID again which I did immediately. Long story short, I ended up sending my id in at least 5 or six times. If it wasn't for the customer service agent who spent over an hour with me trying to figure out how to upload my ID because the system wouldn't accept my ID, I would still be trying to get my phone. I finally got my phone around the 20th of January. Mind you that I was told to pay the 45 ???? bill or I would have to pay reconnection fees. So I paid that with my regular bill on the 30 I believe. I have two phones on my account. This has been such an stressful unnecessary hassle. And I lost 20 days on my service. None of which is my fault.

    Claim# **. This is my second time making a different claim within couple months apart and had bad experiences with UPS Delivery. I wish you guys could deliver through USPS so the phone can arrive at the mailbox instead of being left outside an apartment, house, etc. Or ask for pick up at UPS locations with signature required. I personally think some phones are quite expensive and should not be left outside exposed to someone taking the package instead of the person expecting the package. It makes it hard for the person that is expecting to receive the phone not to get it on time especially if there has to be a lost package claim making the process longer.

    As an example Amazon has a great service for things like this providing the amazon box service so the person receiving the package will pick up at their convenience. There should be an option for people like me that do not have a person to stay at home 24/7 to wait for a package. I'm currently waiting to hear back about my claim., there are 2 investigations going on through UPS and the second one from mytmoclaim.com. In the mean time I do not have a phone that I was expecting, making this the second time I feel or believe I did not received a good or accurate service so far. If I could rate by stars I will give zero but it did not let me meaning not satisfied at all because I'm paying for an insurance monthly service fee + deductible. I did agree to the monthly service fee + deductible. I'm not crying about it but I do expect a good service for what I paid for.

    Well to start I'd say it took 6 days for my phone to get to me, not really a big deal. Next and what really upset me was the fact that I had a totally different color phone than what they sent me. I had the note 10+5g aura glow and they sent me the BLACK one. Talk about livid. Then, when I called to tell them they had sent the wrong color they basically told me to deal with it bc the color wasn't guaranteed. Any other time I've filed a claim I have always got the exact same color phone that I sent in. This was extremely disappointing seeing how all the accessories I've purchased like my ear buds and phone cases were matching to my color phone.     I cracked my screen on my Samsung s20 so I logged online and filed a claim. I have a Blue phone and they sent me a pink phone.     I thought the process to initiate the claim was very easy and simple. I received updates via email and within the time frame stated. Where I am dissatisfied with the experience is in the shipping process. My package was lost, I understand this is not necessarily Assurants fault as that falls on FedEx. However, Assurant addressed the package with the incorrect address. I did report the missing package to both FedEx on 1/14/21 and Assurant on 1/16/21, both said they would get back to me. FedEx called me on 1/21/21. I haven't heard back from Assurant yet. I initiated the claim on 12/31/20. It is now 1/23/21 and still have NO phone. Unacceptable!!!!

    I filed a claim 12/18/20 (Friday) for a damaged phone. I received a replacement phone the next business day (Monday 12/1). THANK YOU FOR SUCH SPEEDY SERVICE! It took a while for me to have time to go to the T-Mobile store so they could transfer the data from the old damaged phone to the new phone, so I wasn't able to mail the damaged phone back to Assurant until 1/6/21. I received a few communications from Assurant telling me that if I didn't return the old device, I would have to pay the full price of the replacement device. They said I would have to call T-Mobile to see how much that penalty would be.

    When I spoke to T-Mobile on 1/21, they told me the device was already delivered to Assurant on 1/19. On 1/23 I called Assurant to make sure they show they received the damaged device. Their automated system indicated they still had not received the device, so I spoke to a live agent and she confirmed the damaged device was received, but it still wasn't recorded in their system that they had received it. She put a note in the file and hopefully I won't get charged because Assurant DOES have it. A lot of extra time wasted on my part to track this all down when Assurant has had the device for several days already. That's a frustration you should be aware of. Thanks.

    I filed a claim but because I wasn’t where they wanted me to be, I had to pay more because they would not repair just replace. Then apparently my identity was not clear nothing happened. So after more than a week I had to call and they said redo. Then it went through, I still had to wait three days. What if my phone was broke or lost? They definitely don’t care about the customer. The whole process took more than two weeks. Not real happy after paying $12 a month for over two to get this service.
