    I'd never thought I'd say this but I would give this negative stars if I could. Our claim took 3 MONTHS, nearly 4 to get resolved. Asked for documentation we had given them the first time they asked. We called numerous (6) times, only to get the same exact excuse, "Looks like your claim was approved but no one pushed it forward. Can we call back in 24-48 hours?" NO ONE called! It got the point where TMobile had to get in on the conversation 3 different times. TMobile needs to pick a better company to provide their customers the promised insurance we PAY for! TMobile is too great of a company to have such a careless/clueless team handling their customers.

    I have had insurance through Assurant for years, and always got quick service on replacements. This time, I needed to replace a LG Stylo 4, but it is no longer made by the company. Therefore, Assurant offered me a lesser quality phone, Moto G7. I refused this option because the only comparable phone was a Samsung Note. I was told to give them three phones to pick from and that I should have my new device approved and shipped within three days. That was on July 17, 2021. I received an email confirmation that my phone would arrive by 8pm via FedEx on July 23, 2021.

    A FedEx truck never came and, when I called Assurant, they said a Moto G7 was processed by mistake and shipped, so they had to cancel and catch the shipment. Fast forward to July 31st: I am STILL sitting without a phone. I have been through almost daily customer service calls and at least two supervisors. Absolutely NO ONE did what they promised to do or even attempted to make me happy. I have lost service and business because of this downtime. Assurant should lose business too. They just lost mine.

    I'm on my 3rd device because I had to ship the first 2 back due to the phone company not being able to activate the sim card, stating the embedded sim cards are saying they're already used and can't be activated. I have to go to a store and try to get this one activated, if it doesn't work I'll be sending it back for again and trying for a 4th time. This has been a waste of my time and I'm paying for something I don't have because Assurant won't send me a working device. No one has offered any solution or compensation for the error on assurant's behalf or reconciliation, just keeps shipping me bad phones. If I could give no stars I would.

    The agent that spoke to me said I would get my money back once the package was in transit. I called today and now they told me until they received the package and gets scanned in their warehouse. That's when I would get my money back. And I would have to wait 10 business days but funny thing they were super fast when they pulled out my deductible. They really need to be on the same page. It seems like the previous representatives that supposedly helped me. didn't even know what they were doing except the last representative. She seem to know what she was doing. Hopefully I won't have to call again. I'm just glad I won't be wasting my money and time with this insurance anymore.

The only thing I was displeased about is filing out the claim report which needed my ID dragged and dropped to the form and I did not have that capability.     I have had no issue with the customer service as I really haven't had any contact with them whatsoever. The scam is we pay a monthly fee for the insurance plus if anything were to happen to our phone a $250 or more deductible to replace our phone.. That "replacement" phone is a refurbished phone. Not a brand new one like the deductible and the monthly fee would dictate in my mind. No, a refurbished one. Meaning someone else sent in this phone because there was a defect, it was broken, they broke it, or whatever reason, and instead of fixing the phone that you now have and sending it back to the person that originally sent it to them. They sent that person a brand new phone, and decided to save a few bucks and send you this now refurbished phone at their discretion of course. With a deductible of $250 or more plus a monthly insurance fee of $30 or more I expect a brand new phone.

    When you have full coverage car insurance or house insurance, IF something happens to that car or house it gets replaced fixed or replaced with the exact same item that is newer or with a brand new item that is of the same but untouched. You don't get sent a replacement part for part of your house that was broken before and fixed by somebody else and then deemed good enough to be put on your house or you don't get a car part or whatever for your vehicle that was broken before they fixed it and it was deemed good as new to put on your vehicle to fix your vehicle no but that is what Assurant does. It is a complete and utter scam especially for the price of deductible plus the price of the monthly insurance. I'm outraged and upset.

    The experience that I had with Assurant was three weeks long and a 250.00 dollars later I am only not satisfied with the deductible I think it was just made up so they wouldn't have to pay for my replacement device. But to pay 210.00 a year and then pay 250.00 deductible is just like buying a new device on my own so for me it's not feasible to have insurance.

    Store should be able to issue replacement phone. I went 5 days without a phone. I am cancelling my insurance, reducing my plan and shopping for a new provider. My phone broke on Saturday at dinner time...did not have fully functioning replacement til 2pm Thursday.. Service was shut off without my knowledge for a service fee I was told would be waived.

    When I first reported lost phone, I spoke with someone in the call center located in Dominican Republic. I was told that I could not get the same phone and I had to get an inferior phone because it was compatible. The agent did not really care about me and was supposed to send me something via email. Four days later I find out about the email, which was sent to **@EOL.com...instead of AOL.com! Language problem! The next day I called again, hoping to be able to hear that I could get the exact same phone replaced. This time the Call Center was in South Africa and again I was told that I could not receive the same phone I lost.

    The third day, which was Monday, I was able to speak to somebody in the Philippines who told me that my phone was shipped and it would be the same phone. I tracked the phone the next day and according to the tracking number was scheduled to be delivered the following day. Somehow my phone was lost in Pennsylvania, according to the tracking number and UPS. After six days and a lot of anguish, I spoke with a manager who immediately sent me The correct phone and overnighted the shipment. He was American and took care of me immediately and successfully. I think you need to pay attention with your foreign call centers because they are not on top of their game!

    Person I talked to was very polite from the insurance company and it took a while talking to them to process my claim. They said to me when it was all said and done they would send me a link and "I" fill out the info and my claim would be processed and I said to my self, "Why did I spend all this time talking to this person and I have to do the work. You're suppose to call them. They process it. I'm the customer who paid for this service. The link wouldn't work right. I tried multiple times then I went to T Mobile. The link didn't work for them either... multiple times... They then told me what I thought in my head when talking to the Assurant person on the phone. They said sounds like the rep I talked to just didn't wanna do their job and was lazy.

    It prob took 35 minutes easy for them to call/ & figure it out. So ultimately It prob took over a hour and a half to fix this issue because I had to travel to get my brother because it's his line in case they needed any info from him. And I traveled about 12 miles to get him then another 3 miles to T Mobile plus all the time I was on the phone with the insurance company..

    And another time in the past maybe 10 years back they used to have a Machine that you hook your phone up to to tell you if your phone is working right or not working properly and if the machine says your phone is fine they refuse to honor your insurance even though your phone doesn't work. My wife's phone was blacking out, shutting on and off at the time. They refused to honor her insurance - said her phone was fine.

    I got screwed we had to buy her another phone. It pissed off a lot of peeps at the time and they got rid of that machine but I still got screwed with that phone. That was my wife's. They wouldn't honor my/ her insurance then.. That's why me and my wife most of the time buy our new phones out right because of shady phone insurance.. and this phone insurance is pretty much who you go through with any carrier. So they're pretty shady. That makes them a monopoly, that's just my experiences with them.. The T Mobile reps were the best. They were super helpful as always. They know their stuff..

    My overall experience with receiving my replacement device was satisfactory. Filing the claim was easy but when it came time to submitting it the screen just buffered. The directions on the screen said don't go back, don't close out of the screen but eventually I had to because it had been 20 minutes. Next, the website says claims are usually processed within 24 hours but my claim wasn't. I contacted them via email 3-4 days later. I did receive a response within 24 hours and my phone was shipped shortly after. Based on my experiences is why I rated them 2 stars.

    My daughter's phone had fell into water, I called Assurant to get a replacement for her Samsung A71 5g. They sent an LG Velvet....umm I'm paying for a Samsung not an LG. So I call back and I must say they were very understanding and apologetic. They sent me a shipping label to send back the LG and when it showed "in transit" I called them back to tell them I need the correct phone sent for a replacement. They said I should be getting another A71 5g tomorrow. That's another thing, you do get the replacements the next day cause who wants to be without their phone. So with some frustration, all in all they made things right.

    When my phone (which is used for work) was stolen when I filed my claim I was taken aback at the $249.00 deductible. When I was finally able to collect enough money to pay, I did so. However the original agent that I spoke with was in an insane rush, and kept switching me to an automated system. It was very disturbing to give my personal info to someone who couldn't even be bothered to stay on the call. To add insult to injury, I had to move since, without a phone, I was no longer working. I specifically gave them the address I'd be at while I waited, but alas, the phone was sent to the wrong address. This was almost 2 weeks ago. Since then, it has been a whirlwind of wasting resources traveling to different facilities that my phone should be at but it hasn't been then.. No one is keeping in contact with me and after I spent long periods of time on hold, I'm still unable to get a definitive answer on where the phone is and yet the huge deductible was taken immediately.

    I pay my bill on time every month and I bought a phone that cost me $500, I chose that particular phone because it had all the things on it I was looking for and got great reviews.     I filed an insurance claim for my phone. I paid the money for the replacement phone. I received a defective phone and the supervisor proceeded to tell me that he could not send me another phone until the one they had originally sent was in transit back to Assurant. He wasn't at all concerned with how I was unconvinced and wouldn't have a phone for however many days it takes to send the phone and receive the new one. Assurant are crooks. They take your money, send you a broken phone then expect you to just go without a phone until they get the garbage one they sent back and mail another one back. I have been a loyal customer to MetroPCS for almost 6 years now but after this I will be taking my business to another service provider! Very dissatisfied with the service I received!

    Had to make no less than a dozen calls. Most times no answer. After contacting Tmobile 3 times I was able to through to Assurant. One male Assurant operator actually hung up on me in the middle of the call. The last operator I talked to was very helpful and completed the process after 5 days of trying to complete the process. The process was very very time consuming and cost me one week of no phone and many many stressful calls to get the process completed. Way overcomplicated and time consuming process.

    First we were told we would get a return label via email from FedEx. We were told we would get the label after hanging up. We received the label several days later and it wasn't from FedEx but the post office. Several representatives told us to ship a device and a new would be shipped immediately after the broken one was scanned in at the post office and don't worry about calling back. I decided to call in that night to make sure it was sent. Needless to say it was never sent. The representative told me a new one would be sent overnight. I didn't receive a confirmation that it shipped until later the next day. Imagine that and to top it off 2 days later the number sent to track my product doesn't even register as a number for something sent. So here we sit with no phone and no way to track a phone that supposedly sent overnight 2 days ago. Btw the first replacement phone they sent broke after finishing the set up.

    My replacement device is giving me problems within 4 days of use. In order to return it I have to be without a phone because a re- replacement can't be sent out until this one is in USPS's possession. I use this phone for 2 lines. Business and personal. Also after advising Assurant that my phone is malfunctioning, they tell me I have to allow 24 hours to receive an a shipping label. Remember the issue here is a malfunctioning phone do why string out the time on every step of the process.

    I ordered a replacement phone because my phone was damaged, and when it came I went to the local Metro PCS to get it activated. That's when I found out that the phone I was sent belonged to another customer. I was told to send the phone back and give them a call back after I had done so. I did exactly as I was told. Even though I didn't have a phone to contact them I was able to use the Metro PCS business phone. I was then informed that I had to wait 24 hours so that the tracking would show that the phone was in route to them before they would send it back. So I did that and was sent out a phone but because it was Saturday I didn't receive the phone until Tuesday. Then I took the phone to be activated by Metro PCS again and ended up having to change my account pin number and waited while the Metro PCS called Assurant for assistance and had to wait a long time!     I quickly paid my deductible and thought my phone would be sent overnight as it showed online. After 2 more days I contacted someone to only be told that the device hasn't been sent because the address didn't match...apt number was missing somewhere. However, my billing address and contact showed correct...I verified it. I then asked how would I have known there was an issue because NO ONE CALLED ME. She told me that I would have had to call. That's unacceptable to me and poor customer service.

    Once I get the device, it's used and it doesn't work after 1 day. The screen goes black, I go to the T-mobile store and no one can help... no troubleshooting or anything. They place an order for ANOTHER PHONE. I go home and Google options to fix it. I reboot the phone and it still blinks during use and when power or volume buttons are pushed. I received the final device Tuesday... the order was placed Friday evening. If I didn't like my phone, I would have just got a refund and bought a totally different phone. T-mobile told me that the S21 has been having multiple issues and getting bad reviews. I guess I'll find that out also. This has been a terrible experience!

    I called 5 times. Spoke to 5 different people, never could get a supervisor. I had to verify my account every time I was transfer. 1 representative told me that my phone was no longer available and would send me an upgrade, when I received the phone it was a down grade 2g-3g when I had a 5g. When I called back yet again I finally got a supervisor who indicated he would call me back in 2 days. I to this day have not received a call back or a new phone.     I paid the $100 deductible to replace a $250 phone and the only device they were willing to send me was an $80 phone which was also a blacklisted device meaning it could not be used because it had been reported stolen. After weeks of waiting for their warehouse to see if there's any other possible devices to issue I was basically giving the option to have my deductible reimbursed which means the whole time of owning the phone I've been paying for a worthless service and in the end wasting weeks of time to get my money back to get a new device.     The only problem is them registering my phone. They told us they have it in warehouse, but not registered. So now we are getting a bill for not turning in the phone, even though it was turned in 4 days before due date. So be careful. When we talk with them they keep trying to say we never turned it in even though the first agent told us they had it in warehouse, but it's not scanned in. This has been almost 3 months problem. Also the charge for not turning it in is automatically added to your phone bill which is also causing problems with our provider. So the worst experience ever.

    I received an email stated that haven’t received the damaged phone and wasn’t scanned from the post office. I took it to the post office. Now I got to go to the post office and ASK why it wasn’t send or mailed. Assurant should have used FedEx return envelope so it would have scanned and returned quickly. I don’t work at the post office. This is a problem. I have to stand in line at the UPO for this. And don’t have 2,000.00 for any transactions.

    When I received the replacement phone, I had to laugh at myself, because I was sent the white one, instead of the bronze (which was the actual color of the one I made the claim on). In the past I would have thrown a fit because of the color switch on me, but now I just told myself that I was putting a case on the phone, and no one besides me would know this one was white instead of bronze, and with how long it took for me to get this one, and the fact that it was on backorder when I first put the claim in, I'm grateful to have the phone that I love for what it can do, not the color of it, and I put my case on it, and it looks just like my first one. I can't tell that the back of the phone is white.

    Hello, Thank you for my replacement phone. I am appreciative my new phone arrived in good timing so there are a couple of things I would like to state for improvement process for others. The email I received and on mytmoclaim.com clearly states on the tmobile/Assurant site to return old phone to ANY TMOBILE STORE for credit or follow ship in envelope provided. After going to the store and calling a corporate store, they stated that is untrue, The stores do not accept the old phone. Also, the process to add in a payment to pay deductible was not available online even after chatting. I had to call service to pay my deductible.

    When I received my replacement I was able to switch over my information to the replacement with no problem which was yesterday on july 28 at 10pm. In the morning the replacement phone needed to do a software install. I hit install now and my phone just powered off and on all day, as soon as it turns on it turns off. Been phoneless all day and now it's going to be days because of this issue.
