I waited longer than I needed to to use this service out of fear it would be terrible. Far from it, I finally used it it and it was great! Fast delivery of new phone, easy to return method for old phone.

They make the process very simple and easy. Had no trouble. My phone came the day after and I sent him the phone in the time frame that they asked for. Mine is the $50 I had to pay for the phone. Everything else was free. And I got a brand new phone. They truly strive for excellence and I greatly appreciate the work that they do.

I received my replacement the next day before 3pm. I was thrilled with the timing of my new phone. I'm a nurse and needed it for work but also to follow my dexcom CGM as I'm a type 1 diabetic. I depend on my phone! 6 months ago we switched from Verizon to T mobile and that was the best decision we made dealing with our phones.

Ordered replacement device, extremely satisfied with how fast it was received. Unfortunately upon opening the device under the plastic was scratched. Called to ask what we could do. Was informed I would have to send the old phone back and this phone back before I could get a replacement. That doesn't work for me. I'm more than willing to send it back, I can't be without a device, even if just a day or two. Asked if there was anything else we could do. Was told this is policy and just the way it is. So here I sit with a beautiful new device and a scratched screen.

My cell phone arrived promptly and ready for my switch over. The only concern I had is that the transfer of data this time around took over 4 hours. Had to stop my data transfer via wifi and connect to hardwire cable. Other than the extensive wait, I have a beautiful phone without a cracked screen. Thank you Assurant.

The phone given to us was still connected to a previous owner so we can not activate that one and still do not have a working phone. I placed another claim and no one has returned info yet on sending another phone.

My Mom had misplaced her phone. We use a family tracking app. I could see where it was located, but wasn't 100% sure at first. After looking and refreshing location I could tell it was in the middle of a road. In the meantime, I called Xfinity explaining the story and stating I didn't know what to do. I also stated she was going to go look for it. They put me through to claims and the agent was super quick to want me to file a claim. He NEVER said that it couldn't be changed. Only said that it couldn't be changed when asking for the address. So I thought he meant that the address couldn't be changed.
My Mom found her phone smashed in the middle of the road, but worked fine. So we were forced into a complete replacement phone instead of a screen repair. Which cost a lot more. I honestly thought I was just getting the ball rolling in case we needed to file the claim. It was a huge pain to try to set up the "new" more than likely refurbished phone. It wouldn't work properly at first and even said "welcome to Verizon Wireless" when she tried to call out. Not sure why that is! I decided we weren't going to waste any more money on insurance and cancelled it. We will just buy back-up phones if need be. Or put our money toward upgrading.

I made a claim for a water damaged Apple 8 Plus. The first phone I received as a replacement from Assurant heated up and did not work. The second phone I received had a broken microphone. I received the 3rd replacement from T-Mobile and it worked. T-Mobile really worked hard to get that 3rd phone to me in 1 day.

Excellent, fast and prompt service from beginning to end, I went on line and filled out the form. I was approved promptly and my phone was on its way. I received my phone shortly afterwards. The entire process was flawless. I would recommend to any and all of my friends.

I got Assurant Max+ Protection through Costco. Before couple of months I got a replacement from Assurant for my LG G7 and it had a problem in microphone. Assurant replaced it with another old device which also had the same issue. I contacted them and they sent me a 3rd another refurbished device which also had the same technical microphone issue. I called to complain and spoke with warranty division who promised to "find an alternative solution" within 24 hours. I waited 10 days and called back to follow up and was promised an answer within up to 2 days. No one followed up with me and I called again before two days with the same person who said "we cannot do anything other than replacing the phone for a third time". I refused this option due to the inconvenience they caused me and also because I do not trust their quality assurance anymore.
The officer promised to escalate to a supervisor with a promise to get back to me within 1 to 2 days but this never happened. I had to buy a new phone since the replacement sent to me was defective and people did not hear my voice at the other end. I complained to Costco Canada wireless, through whom I bought the warranty at $139, and they are currently investigating the issue. Still looking for a fair resolution since I paid $139 for warranty and around $140 for replacement and I ended up with a device that does not function well. I am very disappointed from Assurant Max+ phone protection and called their office in Kingston Ontario so many times without any concrete result.

The insured phone was replaced with a phone that did not work. I had already mailed back the original phone that was damaged. When Assurant was made aware of the nonworking replacement phone, they refused to send a working phone until they received that phone back as well. I have been without a phone for over a week total. No customer service to help me through this process.

I've been with other phone companies that have made making a claim a nightmare. This was the first claim I had to make with this company and it was an easy process and my replacement phone came in the mail quickly. I will be staying with this company.

Not sure why shipping would take so long. But it did. When you called the person could not tell me where the phone was in transportation. I asked for them to ship me another phone because one was needed very fast, but he said he was not allowed to. Not very happy.

The phone keep reboot itself and it don't connect to the Wi-Fi. I'm not pleased at all. I really want to stop my service. I can't turn it off to charge and take 15 minutes to turn on the phone. Just isn't in good shape. It doesn't do anything right so please let me know what you guys going to do about it, how you going to send me a new phone or I have to just cancel my insurance.

I got onto the website via the Metro website and was done ordering my replacement phone in about 5 mins. The following morning it arrived. This was the easiest phone replacement I've ever experienced.

Only thing that can improve is the amount of information provided on the Assurant website, as in completing the actual claim. Ask the needed questions and information and then direct them to the next step after the claim is completed.

My Hubby totally destroyed his phone broken back and screen called and spoke directly with representative and filed claim. Had new device next day, was an easy process, we received the same device for 99.00 which was a lot cheaper than spending 1000.00.

My experience was great! Filing the claim was a quick and easy process. And the return time of my replacement device was great and timely as well. Not only did it come within 2 days but since my device was no longer available they upgraded me to the next newest matching model which made things so much easier for me and my situation. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. Filed a claim for son's Samsung A71, that had gotten water damage. Charged $99 deductible and received an LG V60 ThinQ as a replacement. It may be compatible on the surface (ie, similar technical specs), but the UI is very different and more importantly, this is a discontinued phone from a company that has stopped making smartphones and can't find accessories for it anywhere. By the time the original phone is paid off, we will have replace this one!

Accidentally overcharged phone overnight and battery popped out. It did not catch fire but battery was exposed. On the side of caution I asked for replacement and it was shipped to me overnight. My service was continuous which I am grateful for.

Next day shipping was great. Replacement phone was received hours early before the deadline all the way here in South Florida. Able to waive the activation fee for sim with up to date bill and insurance…due to my old phone screen being shattered and no access to my number. Metro PCS took care of the situation for me to activate sim. I am very grateful and thankful for everyone’s help!

I had to call 6-7 times to see why my claim was taking so long. The first lady screwed me out of my telephone court date when I called 3 days before it was scheduled and should have been plenty of time. She was extremely rude and ignorant. Couldn't understand her accent and tbh will never trust this company again. I had to call T-Mobile over and over to have them connect me because you'll never get through on their direct line. Couldn't review anything on my claim online because the idiot put the WRONG DATE OF INCIDENT and caused my claim to be denied!!! I had to call again and get another claim started. It took over a week to get a new phone because of all the **. I hate this process. If I pay for the insurance just give me my replacement without all the hoops!!!!

I filed a claim for a Galaxy S21. I was told I would receive a Galaxy S21+ as a replacement, so I bought a case for that model. The phone I received was a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. I was instructed to send it back via FedEx so that I could receive my promised model, that I already got a case for. Once the Note was in transit, I contacted Assurant to notify them through the online chat feature. I was informed that I would still not receive the model I was promised, and already have a case for, because my current model is back in stock. My case for that model was damaged when the phone itself was damaged, so I now have to buy another case, in addition to the one I already bought. I have chronic illness and struggle financially, so this situation has been even more of an ordeal for me. I just want the phone I was told I would receive.

Assurant was very fast in getting my new phone replaced however, they not only cancelled my old phone but cancelled my wife's phone too. My wife's phone was the number we gave as a call back number and they disabled it and it took a lot of time on the phone with them and T-Mobile to get it re-enabled.

I was given a phone not comparable to my Galaxy S8+. I called and was promised a call back by a SUPERVISOR OF A SUPERVISOR I WAS SPEAKING TO. Still 6 days which is 120 hours later still no call. I am sending phone back and want a comparable phone to my galaxy s8+.

My son dropped my phone and shattered the screen. I started a claim at 7:30pm on a Monday. By Wednesday, I had my new phone in hand. The representative I spoke with was very helpful and the online forms I needed to fill out was very simple. I was very happy with the service I received.

I bought 3 cell phones for my children during the pandemic. All three have had their phone lost, stolen, and damaged. It's true that I could have just bought them another phone but since I had insurance on all the phones the cost was reasonable. Yes I would recommend a friend.

My Samsung 10+ started to separate back half from the front. Staff were very helpful and listened to my frustrations with how essential information is based on the charge card you used when the policy is issued. Once I could track down the card I used since it no longer existed due to fraudulent activity. Service was prompt once we completed that verification.

I was without my phone from 8/5 until 8/20 and the phone I received came from T-mobile and not Assurant as my insurance provider. I spent over 8 hours on the phone or in email trying to get this claim processed to no avail. I spoke to countless representatives who had language barriers and provided misinformation. In addition the other representatives hung up on me and also was frustrated by experience, but still did nothing to help me. The very last representative helped by escalating the claim, but Tmobile sent the phone in 24 hours. I lost my brother during this time and it was extremely difficult to not have a working phone. Your automated system, online system and representatives all had different information.
Finally when I tried the last time with the final rep, my claim number was not even accessible in your system, the phone said it was approved and the representative still saw a request for my ID for yet a third time. I have been with Tmobile for 15 years and maybe used a claim once besides this time. HORRIBLE Service at the worst time. It should be used as a learning experience.

I purchased a tablet for my grandson, the time I purchased it he was 2 years of age. I'm so glad I purchased the insurance that was offered, it turns out for the 2 1/2 years I've had to use the insurance at least 3 times. I've called customer services and have had no issue with returning the merchandise. The website is easy friendly to where it can be reported online when having to returning. I recommend the insurance.

This is a scam. I took the insurance option when I purchased my phone. After paying premiums for a few years and a $250 deductible, I received a replacement phone that T-Mobile would not buy back for the cost of the deductible. It's a far better deal to self insure. Rude customer service. They deducted the $250 in 1 day and take 15 days to return it??? Still waiting. There are too many better options if you want to buy insurance to cover your phone.

The process was erudite and easy to access... However I could not wipe my phone because I am currently locked out of SAMSUNG... The 2 step verification process for signing in... requires that they text my phone... and I no longer have that number... Samsung does not provide live support... and their support topics does not address this issue.

After my phone broke I found out I had a 200 dollar deductible which pissed me off. After I received my new phone I take it to Metro on 15th Street. They charged me 20 dollars to download the information and 20 dollars to change the sims card. Now I see where Metro is giving a new phone with 5 g and 25 dollars a line. What’s the catch? Why am I paying 72 dollars a month and have pitiful insurance? I think I got screwed.

Got my replacement phone in a timely manner and everything went good. There is one thing though I would like to address. I did get a new SIM card with my phone but wasn’t able to use it. Upset about that but other than that everything went okay.

I had a wonderful experience with Assurant. I explained my situation in detail with them and they approved the claim. I was not able pay the deductible right away. I had to wait 'til I got paid to pay it. When I spoke to an Representative they said that would not be an issue. I could pay the deductible when I got paid. I paid it and a email was sent to me saying my new phone was being shipped. I would receive it in 2 days. I am a very happy customer!!! Thank you so much!!!!

Everything was good as far as product replacement and delivery time. However package came under someone else’s name (Martha **) with my address. I confirmed with T-Mobile the device is connected to my account. Also now the survey is sent to my email but addressing Martha. I have not mailed in the broken device for this reason. I have broken device packaged & ready to mail, but I have concerns due to the name it was shipped to me under. Can you please have someone call me so we can get this matter cleared up and I can ship out comfortably knowing I will receive the credit of return and not this Martha person? Thank you, Veronica **.

My phone fell off a counter at work recently and I discovered several days later when I took the case off to wipe it clean, the back was entirely cracked. I put in my information on the claim site and within 2 days I had a new replacement phone in my hand. Unbelievable service! With an investment like an Iphone you really need this protection and peace of mind. You can't go wrong.

New phone I bought 2 months ago never worked good. Had to wait to come to Metro because of family matters and had to pay 50 for deductable. This is not fair and should be reimbursed the 50 since from the start this phone never worked right.

My phone overheated and shut down, could not turn back on. I immediately reported a simple claim. Had to wait 6 days for my replacement. No explanation only in claim was being reviewed. Horrible experience. No empathy by any of the customer service people. I explained I need my phone to have virtual visit with my dr and had an appointment and could only FaceTime. Supervisor said they understood would note my situation and notify the review department. She said it would be to no avail that they did not care and would take five days to approve claim, I can't believe that in extreme circumstances this timeline can't be expedited. The most upsetting part was no one ever told me why there was a review on a simple straightforward claim. Horrible process!!!

During a Hawaii vacation I lost my phone in the Pacific ocean. I contacted an Assurant rep who was extremely helpful and professional. She created a case and had my replacement phone scheduled for 2 day shipment. This was a quick process which I was thankful to have promptly received my replacement phone. Note: if you have an Android phone make sure you back it up on the Cloud using Google. I did this and my new phone uploaded all my old phone's information. Assurant is a great service with quick results. Thank you for providing service over and above what I anticipated.

I was sent a replacement device from Assurant which came with blue streaks on the right hand side of the screen. Instead of getting a replacement back from Assurant initially because it was sent through them, I had to call T-Mobile to go through the extended warranty process when it was sent through the wrong IMEI because they couldn't replace the device because there was no physical damage. This is a horrible grey area to show that it is ok to send devices without any Q/A to put in on the customer to fix. It took a visit to TMobile and 6 other calls between the two companies to be sent a new replacement. The end result is that I am waiting for another replacement without a working phone. Never had a crazy experience in the last 7 years with T-Mobile and I am not sure where the disconnect happened but that policy has to be reviewed and revised.

My claim went thru very quickly. I was given a nearby store name to go to for my phone's repair. I needed a new screen. The next day I dropped my phone off at the store I was given and had my phone back in about an hour. I was very happy with the whole process. The only bad thing that I can tell of is the difficulty of getting thru to a person at the mostly automated claim number.

While it was easy to do a claim, and the device did arrive quickly. The replacement device I got was scratched and the camera lens/area was filled with glue residue. I asked for a replacement for the replacement, which was approved, and the device again had glue residue on the camera lens and a dent/scratch at the bottom near the screen/charging port. I finally decided to go thru T-Mobile for the warranty, as Assurant kept giving devices that were damaged. I will probably cancel the insurance, too much hassle.

I called the Assurant number given to me by US Cellular and I was directed to their automated system. The initial process of filing a claim and making payment only took about 10-15 minutes. I was very surprised to have received an email half an hour later that my replacement phone had been approved and would be delivered the following day. Once received, I was up and running again in about 10 minutes thanks to the simple instructions provided. Assurant has always been fantastic and the monthly insurance payment is beyond worth it to me. I highly, highly recommend carrying their coverage.

Was easy to follow the instructions given via email on what I needed to do and call to resolve the current drastic dilemma I was going through at the time I needed these services. I was glad that I put a high security code on my account where it immediately notified my carrier to let them know that my phone alarms went off because whoever stole my phone a restaurant employees at the Rickey's in 818 area code aka the valley don't drop your phone. They will take it and act like they didn't see anything. Will get upset with you if you are not here for games or problems but will surely cause you further problems upon request to inquiry on whereabouts of your property.

The first original replacement phone was the wrong device. I caught it when I read the confirmation email. We have a iPhone 12 Pro Max. The representative which her name was HOPE, processed a IPhone 11. I had to call, stay on hold for another hour, had to speak to a supervisor, in order for the phone to be revised to the correct device, which is a iPhone 12pro max. She (hope) had us on the phone for 2 whole hours just to get the order wrong. Luckily I read the email and called immediately before they shipped it out. I would’ve had to wait another week if I didn’t catch the huge error. Smh. Terrible experience with you guys.

I was told that if claim approved Monday thru Thursday the item will arrive next day. This did not happen. I did not get the item until the next week. Then got an email saying sorry I'm not happy with my replacement and they are sending out another. They never sent out a first one. I asked for some sort of compensation due to them breaking the agreement and got nothing but was told to just wait and be patient. I pay for a service, I paid the deductible, did not get the service I pay good money for.

Ordered cell phone replacement - get it next morning. My cell phone was stolen so I paid simply the deductible with Assurant set up the proper paperwork online sent it in and received my phone probably the next morning by 10 AM. Fantastic. Using again if needed. Received my rear end.

Spent over 30 minutes completing information on the automated system to be told when the address was not recognized to report on regular business hours. The Monday call was even worse with multiple transfers and poor customer service until I spoke to the last individual. I was not satisfied that I couldn't be told when the device would arrive until I agreed to your terms. That's a sketchy practice.

My Kyocera Duraforce broke. I could no longer access the home and menu buttons. US Cellular recommended I replace it through insurance. I was told I would get the same phone. The phone that arrived is an LG model that in no way compares to the durability of the Kyocera. US Cellular told me to call Assurant to request something more comparable. I was told “this LG is what comes up in the computer and is all they could send me.” The durability of my phone is a huge factor for me and why I went with the Kyocera to begin with. When I explained that to Assurant I got the same answer “the LG is what comes up in the computer.” There has to be a more durable comparable phone out there! This one will not hold up to every day life! US Cellular was very surprised that a replacement was not offered. Assurant did nothing to try to help me. Just repeated the same statement like a broken record. Completely dissatisfied. Why are we told we will get a comparable replacement if that isn’t what happens?

I have 12 devices on insurance. I had to file 3 claims on 3 different devices all within a month. However on my 3rd claim I was told they would not ship my device unless the 1st one was received at the warehouse. This to me is absurd! With the # of devices I have claims could be filed within short tines of each other and to say they refuse to ship a device for another line until others are received 1st is insane! So now I have a line waiting for a phone not being able to be used for 3-6 weeks while waiting for them to receive and approve shipping on the other device. These claims were for 3 separate lines and devices. I pay for insurance for the reason of being able to receive a device when needed yet now I'm told I have to wait. I am absolutely not happy and very angry to have to wait so long for a device.

Called Assurant and wanted to make claim for a broken glass Samsung S-6. Replacement S-10E came in next day as promised. Took phone to T-Mobile store and they transferred all data. CSR was very knowledgeable about the program and very helpful. I was glad I had the insurance to get a replacement. I happy with the S-10E and didn't need to spend 1000 plus on a new phone.

Very fast and very courteous on the phone. The only problem I do have is I feel you shouldn't have to pay the $15 to get your SIM card switch from the old phone to the new phone. I feel like it should be something that is already in the insurance claim. Other than that that's my only issue that I have had that I did not appreciate.

Received a replacement iPhone. Within one day, display stopped working. Contacted support who told me to contact Apple. That's all the help I received. What's the point of having the Assurant coverage if I'm not going to get a functioning device and just have to contact Apple in the end.

There was great communication between myself and the employee who handled my initial claim. I filed a claim on Sunday. I did not expect it to be approved on the weekend. I also did not expect that the phone would ship on the weekend. I knew that the claim would not be approved and the phone would not ship until Monday. I believe that to be realistic expectations. During the claims process I selected my work address, which was not my home address, but it was a commercial address. The claims form online did not recognize the address and asked me for a unit #, but there is no unit number for the building.
The claim was not approved on Monday and the phone did not ship on Monday. I had to manually call in and speak to someone who manually approved my claim & approved the replacement phone to ship. That one day delay was enough to interfere with my business, my appointments on calendar & fail to meet my fairly reasonable expectations. I had to call you guys. You guys should have called me on Monday to get things straightened out. I would never recommend this company for that one reason. I had to follow up with Assurant. Most people would not have followed up, they would just be waiting forever. I was pleasant with the girl on the phone. It wasn't her fault. I didn't take out my frustration on her. I know how it is to always get the angry phone calls. I kept it polite & professional, but overall that was a giant fail.

Well first of never had bad experience before till now. I filed claim because my Samsung s10+ front screen was craked, the replacement phone I received had moisture inside camera area. I tried to remove moisture from phone, no success, called to make a complaint, I was told I had to pay another deductible for a replacement even though I received phone like that. After a week passed phone did not receive any cell service, had Spectrum replace the sim. They escalated issue, nothing was done, called again, I was told to pay deductible. Since I had no choice paid deductible then when I receive phone I was told I would receive charger in with the phone. No charger, just phone. Horrible experience. I feel like I was screwed by Assurant

So my phone went through some issues. Had to contact Assurant for a replacement. That process was very quick and simple. Filled out an online form and within a few days after approval I received a replacement. Customer service was very friendly and helpful. Especially when it seemed I didn't receive the phone. For example I couldn't find it in the mailbox or around. Which brings me to a major problem. The package didn't need a signature when it arrived which can be a problem to someone who isn't waiting by their window or friends with their neighbors but either way theft is always a possibility. All in all, very quick and invaluable service. A very positive experience.

My customer service rep did an alright job handling my claim. However, I am very disappointed that, as a deployed service member, I had to have my replacement phone shipped to my home address and then have my spouse pay and ship it to me from there. I find it absolutely unacceptable that Assurant will not ship to an APO (army post office) thus making the customer have to pay more for a service that should be included in the cost. Not to mention the cost in time it then takes to get the replacement.

Process convenient but replacement phone bad. The process was very fast and convenient. The phone I got was completely un-updated and just doesn't work very well. i.e. maps, voice only speaks halfway through sentence. Phone also keeps restarting (frustrating when using GPS). None of apps were updated so I couldn't use the phone. I took it into the store and we found the issue. A little annoyed, I figured that couldn't only just be the problem. I was partially right. Not a fan of this replacement phone.

When I broke my phone and got a replacement through Assurant, I did not realize I would receive a refurbished replacement phone. I can tell by the screen that it is not new. Last Friday I needed to turn in a claim and get a replacement phone and no longer had possession of my phone. The communication breakdown through the portal caused quite a few glitches. Thankfully your live representatives worked with me to get me the remaining forms needed to process the claim. The site never did. However I did not receive my phone until Tuesday. And when it arrived, it was damaged, scratched and unstable. Again I called for assistance after putting a question online and with no response. And again, your live representatives saved the day. He is having me send my phone back to be replaced.
I am thankful, but scared out of my mind. I had to wait to send it this morning due to a follow up with a doctor appointment yesterday and I am a seriously injured lady who lives alone and my only means of communicating with my medical transportation service is via cell phone, or to contact my caregivers. My phone went out Fedex today. The tracking number is **. The lady informed me that it would not get to Pa until maybe Monday. Can you please just check the tracking to confirm the broken one is on its way and ship my phone? The man I talked to said it would be overnighted. But it looks like that is next week. Please help.

I bought a Google Pixel 4 128GB phone directly from Google in December 2019. I was very happy with the phone but by August, 2021, the unreplaceable battery could hardly hold a charge. I filed a claim and Assurant offered a 64GB phone as a replacement, which was not good enough. It took several calls to Assurant over 2 weeks and they finally offered a 128GB Pixel 4 XL which I accepted. However, after I paid the deductible, The website said that I would receive a 128GB Google Pixel 4a 5G instead. I accepted the substitution because I was tired of haggling and now I realized that the Pixel 4a 5G is in many ways a step down from my original phone. (No wireless charging, no waterproofing, etc.)

Two days later it erupted into a much worse situation where the phone was completely disabled. So this time I called T-Mobile and was patched through to Assurant only to be informed after giving them my credit card number that I would have to wait 4 days to receive the replacement phone. So the boat was ready and the weather was good, so we left on our vacation. When we came back three weeks later the phone was still not delivered. Upon calling Assurant we were informed that they had not been paid the $99.00 deductible. But they had my credit card number and then decided that they could run it now and ship the phone.
This time we had the phone in 24 hours. Why could they not run the credit card on the first round and ship the phone in 24 hours? No answer to this question. Had I turned my phone in to any local repair shop before I left for my vacation it would easily had been repaired while I was away for $300.00 or $200.00 more than my deductible. And then I would not have had to spend the better part of a day downloading apps to get back to a functioning phone and I would not have had to turn my old phone in and risk my data. I would also not be paying $18.00 for Assurant's lack of service per month. So I cancelled the Assurant's service through T-Mobile which cost me another $108.00 since I bought this phone from T-Mobile. So no Assurant does not work for me. No thanks.

The service was very very terrible, horribly bad, I was put on hold for over an and over the course of 3 calls I was put on hold for over 5 hours, and the last call I got in touch with Metro by Tmobile and they contacted Assurant and we had a conference call with a manager, and again we were put on hold and the rep from Metro asked me, where did they go, and I told him this is what I was expecting all day and was glad that someone could see that I wasn't exaggerating about the service that I was receiving, and I forgot to mention that when I contacted Metro. I made a conference to them, all the while I was on hold with assurant and no one ever came back to the phone, but after 5 hours I finally got my replacement phone shipped out the next day.

Well, I am not enjoying this craptastic P.O.S. refurbished replacement device, nor am I happy or satisfied. You should be aware of this since I have texted and messaged, and had 2 real conversations, all to no avail, care or choice. Your supposed customer service consists of "I understand" which no you don't, being told, "Well this is what you're getting", or "we will charge up to 999.00 to cover 'Our, T-Mobile' investment'. So screw my investment? No, you can purchase a new phone, and we'll break it into 24 months!!! Uhm no no way, I wouldn't sign up for you again, I wouldn't refer you to my mortal enemy.
I am unsatisfied, and disgusted by your rude service and false promises. Thinking of going on a consumer protection site, or the local news media and airing the problem of T-Mobile and Assurant's false service contract, and not abiding by their false promise of 360° insurance protection plan. They charge you for it, but do not follow through with it, and forced me to accept the pos that they gave me, and, by the way, it only activates through, you guessed it, the very same providers that screwed me over. No, no I am not enjoying anything about this refurbished, craptastic phone or your service and company.

I made a claim for lost phone then I called about 30 mins after to cancel the claim to and let them know I had found my phone in the Universal Studios Lost and found. They shipped the new phone. Ordered me to ship it back when received. The day I was going to receive the new phone to send it back my personal working phone that I use everyday for business calls was locked for 48 hours making me Lose out on thousands of dollars and causing cancellation from clients. It was horrible awful experience and I still till today not received my refund for sending back the replacement phone I did not need. It was extremely inconvenient.

Not only did I receive a device that I was unhappy with due to the fact that it's not even the same color that I spent $1200 on, on my original phone, but they basically told me they had no solution and I could just send it back if I was unhappy. Needless to say I will be canceling my insurance after this month and filing a report with the BBB.

I filed a claim for my son's phone to be replaced. An older, less advanced version of what he had was sent to us. When I called to inquire why, I was told that you "just send out what is available" and when I asked why he wouldn't be send the same phone or something better, not worse, if his specific phone wasn't available? The response I got was "it's just our policy". I then asked for a replacement of the same phone he had to be sent. I was told that it I would be sent a return shipping label that would take up to 24 hours and that the second replacement phone wouldn't be sent out until the first replacement phone was confirmed to be in transit. On top of that, it would take several days to get to us.
Any questions I asked regarding this there was a pad answer of "I'm really sorry, that's just our policy" and I was never offered any sort of solution. After this experience we have decided to cancel our insurance on our phone because we realized that it's easier and cheaper to just upgrade our phones than dealing with your company.

Updated on 10/21/2021: I processed a claim, got a new phone, then received a letter from Assurant they hadn't received the broken phone in return. I called, they said they had indeed received it, it was in the warehouse. Subsequently got a letter from Assurant saying they had received the phone, claim was closed, they were happy to have served me.
Got a text last week saying they hadn't received the phone. So I called T Mobile, they said everything was fine. Today, I got billed more than $300 on the cc I had supplied to T Mobile for monthly payments because Assurant said they never received the phone. Called T Mobile, they called Assurant with me on the line. First Assurant person said the phone was received in the warehouse but hadn't been scanned it yet. Then she came back and said that all they had was an empty package that had arrived opened and I had to file a claim with UPS. I asked her what about the letter Assurant sent me saying they had received the phone, she said she has no access to correspondence.
T Mobile was on the phone the entire time and said they will look into refunding me. Reading down I see this is a recurring issue with Assurant's warehouse. They do not scan in returned phones. I am leaving T Mobile because of Assurant. I just lost an hour of my life I will never get back. Very rare to have such a terrible customer experience these days, especially in a competitive arena.
Original Review: After paying the $50 deductible fee to have my phone replaced, Assurant sent me a phone that was a downgrade from the broken phone. Even better: The phone Assurant sent was sent was defective as the touch screen did not work. When I called Assurant I was bluntly told I had to go back to T-Mobile to get the "new" broken phone replaced. After an hour on the phone with T-Mobile I may have resolved the issue, we shall see. I never want to go through this again.

On 08/12/2021 when I called to speak with an agent after my claim took over 48hrs to process…. He hung up on me after unsuccessfully accessing my account! This happened after a T-Mobile rep recommended and allowed me to use the store phone. To say I was livid is an understatement and is has me looking of other insurance options for my device! Really bad experience, I had to call you guys about 6 times, to process my claim, you guys couldn't process my ID. I been dealing with you guys Tmoblie stores and customer service since, 08//07/21, and you guys are not able to verify me if I am getting a replacement, phone or not, and giving me different answer, some of you customer service rep say yes, some say no and some say "I dont know", really bad service. I did claim the insurance, because my screen glass was broken, and I called your company, to be fix it; your company told me I have to pay $150 for deductible, and that’s devalue of my iPhone on the market if I decided to buy another one, I consider that option ridiculous, many years using my (4 years paying insurance) and the moment I want to use it, you charge me for another iPhone. I received a phone that was not the same as the phone I originally did a claim on, which was a Galaxy S8 Plus. I received a galaxy S10 which was an upgrade but I was very disappointed that I had to get a smaller phone without any notification. I inquired about the galaxy s10 plus because if I had a plus phone I should have been given a plus in return whether it was an upgrade or not. I purchased a galaxy plus because I like the size. I don't like being given just whatever without being notified.

I filed a claim on 8/8/2021, paid my deductible and my claim was processed. My replacement device was mailed on 8/12/2021. I used it for 3 days and noticed the battery wouldn't hold so I called and informed Assurant on 8/18/2021 and sent it back on 8/21/2021. Hope to get a proper replacement that works well. Transferring data back and forth is too stressful.

The phone showed up quickly. Faster than I expected. Because I had to go to another city to swap out the phones I knew that the phone would not be returned in the 10 days they give you. Needs to have instructions included so the transfer goes easily. I was afraid to switch the device over during my business week, in case it were to get messed up. Finally found a site that walked me through, but found there wasn't a device to help eject SIM card. I was able to get it figured out, but it makes it harder. The replacement phone appears to be in good condition and works well. It was delivered on time and the return package was easy to put in the mail. It is in the mail. Sorry it's late!

I was not explained about the details of the coverage. Nor I was told about the deductible. Or else I would not opt for this insurance. I landed up paying $40, disclosed only at the last step. Even after taking the claim, I am given a surprise. I went back and forth between Xfinity and Assurant 5 times!!

The service was fast, accurate, and easy to use. The website was easy to follow along with. I didn't need to call a representative or wait on the phone. It took only about 5 minutes and I got my approval and my device was on the way.

I dropped my Samsung Galaxy A20 and needed a replacement. The entire interaction with Metro PCS and Assurant was flawless and expedient. My premium was very reasonable and I received my phone the next day. I'm so glad to have Assurant for my phone insurance.

I received my phone overnight once it was determined that it was not going to be found. I would not have been able to get through the process without Adrian at T Mobile. He was outstanding and very patient

The phone I was sent as replacement is smaller than the one I have. The replacement is not equal to the phone I have now. I called twice and the first time a rep laughed at me and transferred me without letting me know then a 2nd time I got this girl who then transferred me and the call dropped. They didn't bother to call me.

Following an insurance claim for a device with a broken screen, I received my replacement device quickly. Unfortunately the device had non-functioning speakers immediately upon receipt. I contacted Tmobile, who transferred me to Assurant. Assurant informed me this was a problem with the device, and was the responsibility of Tmobile or Samsung to manage. Tmobile transferred me to Samsung who instructed me to take the device to an authorized Samsung repair shop to repair the speakers. The repair shop informed me at our appt that the device was out of warranty. I contacted Assurant, who notified me I had to mail them the replacement device before I could receive another new device, which I have yet to receive. I have been without a functional phone for over a week, and this took several phone calls and appts to determine who was ultimately responsible for replacing a faulty device.

I made many attempts to load identification verification. Finally get a completion successfully. It is still showing that is not been done successfully. My email says that it has been received successfully.

Great service. I called, filed my claim and received my replacement phone in the mail the next day. Everything went smoothly. Glad I bought the insurance. I only paid one hundred and twenty dollars for the deductible.

I had an incident where my phone had gotten damaged and the entire front screen was almost completely cracked. I made an insurance claim and within 2 to 3 days I would have my replacement phone. They were very quick about getting the new phone out to me. Very much caring about their customers.

The service was fast, friendly. I would most definitely recommend a friend or a family member. I was very surprised at how fast I received my new phone and it was in very good condition. You have my vote as to telling people that you guys stood behind everything that you said.

Having the warranty and receiving replacement was not the problem. The verification process was ridiculous. The website clearly states to submit various IDs as ID Verification only. Meaning to verify person and name NOT address. Granted is ok to verify address, but so many people have mailing and residence address different. Yet, that issue delayed my replacement 5 days. This time was horrible. When I lost my phone and requested a replacement, back then NO ISSUES whatsoever. Granted, I submitted exact same ID and living same location as I live now. Wouldn’t know what happened with this change.

The service that I received over the phone was excellent. I actually had to deal with two separate claims on my account. The customer service from start to delivery was great. I did not use your website but real people because neither of these were phones that I use. Thank you.

We made the call, received the returned package, self addressed box, postage paid, stuck the old in our mailbox. Seamless! I got a little confused in the beginning about who I should call, TMobile or Apple. Very quick turn around.

My phone was not returned because I was hospitalized due to covid and during that time my car got broken into and it was stolen. I was charged for a broken phone...the full price and I was not even given any type of at least a percentage off. :( Not happy.

2. The earphone speaker is full of lint and it's dificult to hear people. I have to use the speaker.
3. They told me I was going to receive a charging cable and in still waiting.

Wish there were other options, T-Mobile said my deductible was 100. Assurant said it was 150. When I asked Assurant for a copy of my policy they said they couldn't get me a copy and that I would have to call Tmobile. Assurant is the insurance co. how could they not have a copy of my insurance? I paid for insurance on these phones for years without a claim and they send me a refurbished piece of junk that will only pick up every other call and the battery is toast! DISSATISFIED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!

Everything went fast, smoothly and with no problems. Would recommend to friends and would use the service again myself if needed. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Answered all questions. There was not a long wait time and I received my new phone the very next day.
