The replacement phone I received did not work. It didn't even power on or respond to any charger. I am really discouraged on trusting this insurance plan which I pay monthly for and also a deductible for a broken phone.

Assurant sent an defective device with the Bluetooth antenna being disconnected within the phone. Bluetooth connectivity was malfunctioning. I would love to opportunity to be refunded for this incident please.

Had an on site screen replacement scheduled. Repair tech showed up on time, had the phone approximately an hour. Returned it to me just like it came out of the box. Perfect transaction. Will definitely go this route again if needed

I've received a used and old phone for replacement for my wife's damaged phone. They are supposed to replace that one for another new and updated phone, but until now, I'm still waiting and haven't received not even an update.

Put in claim on July 29th, was told that we could have a replacement by Saturday if I paid $30. So, of course I did that! Shouldn't have had to anyways but I did! No phone on Saturday! Call them, told that Xfinity needs to fix something on our account, so I call xfinity, supposedly that gets fixed. Call Assurant back and they say the phone should be shipped Monday. So, wait till then, get an email that the claim was not approved, call them again, they tell me they still haven't received right info from xfinity, call them again, they say it should be all set, not sure why assurant is saying that, they do a three way call, assurant says that they can't take their word over the phone, so we ask to be transferred to someone who can get the paperwork from xfinity, they say they can't do that.
So, xfinity puts in an expedited request for info to be sent to assurant again. I wait another two days, call again, they still don't have it, they do another three way call, and again nothing they can do. They keep saying that is back end processing and that no one can talk to them, so I ask can I speak to a supervisor, they say that they can't do that either. So, have to wait again and end up waiting about two weeks for a replacement phone!! Why are they making us pay so much for this?!?

The connection between Assurant and Xfinity was amazing! I went in to replace my phone, completely forgetting I had insurance on it. The Xfinity person let me know I had insurance and processed the claim at about 3:30pm. But the time I got home at 4:15, I received an email from Assurant saying they had received the claim and a second saying that it was accepted. But 5:00 that night, I received noticed that the new phone had shipped and it arrived the next morning. Less than 24 hours from initial contact to receiving my replacement phone is amazing. Thank you.

I did a phone claim. They sent me a phone that was two generations down from the one I had. I sent it back. I haven't received a refund. I haven't received the device that I need and it's been since August 9th that I did the claim and today is August 17th and is a device that is used for work. I am really upset about this.

Updated on 08/26/2021: I made a claim. They sent me a phone with a bad charge port and only 1/2 charge left. Let a message on a review and they contacted me as I has no idea who to talk to and sent me out a phone on rush to replace the 1st one without question..

I submitted a claim July 19th, 2021 to date of August 17th, 2021 still no replacement phone, all starting from numerous mishaps on staff behalf. To them not completing my initial claim due to verifying address which I was unaware that I needed to verify. no call no notification saying so, also once that was figured out received replacement phone but it was damage. Had to send it back. I asked if they could send out new replacement phone as soon as possible. They weren’t able to. They had to receive the damage phone in order to send a new replacement phone, called back to track new replacement phone. Once I did my part which was sending the damage phone back here we are still with no replacement phone.

My claim was approved, meeting the terms and conditions of my policy, which provides a replacement wireless device (Samsung.SM-A115U. Galaxy A11.Black.32GB.T-Mobile). I received a refurbished black Galaxy A11. This fulfilled Assurant's obligation for my claim.

I broke my phone at the beginning of my shift Sunday afternoon Aug. 8th 2021, I only helped two customers to get home safely. I was able to complete request for replacement device later that evening, I received my new replacement phone on the following Tuesday Aug. 10th at about 5:45pm PST.

My original Google Pixel 4A was water damaged even though it was in a rain coat pocket in a protective case during a rain storm. Assurant was prompt at replacing my phone but I'm not happy that my new phone seems to have half the battery life of my original phone. It won't even make it through a day, while my original lasted 2 days (or more!) on a charge. I don't understand why I pay insurance to TMobile on a $600 phone when the replacement is of this quality.

Prompt service via telephone to attempt to resolve problem. Unable to do so, directed to online claim form. Easy to fill out, only problem was linking correct phone to claim form, there are 3 phones covered by plan. Only one problem with process and that was with FedEx delivery, it was not overnight service. Could be area we live in.

WARNING - If you want your phone destroyed by their poor workmanship then this place is for you. Brought in my iPhone X that has been through creeks, mud and rainstorms for 3 years with no issues whatsoever. Had them look at it due to a fading screen backlight. They said it needed a new screen, took my money and handed it back to me an hour later with nothing more said. They did not tell me they completely destroyed the water seal on the phone. One very minor splash of water a week later the phone went dead. They would not stand behind their work and extorted another $200 out of me to dry the phone out and put yet another screen on. That repair did not work and they did not refund my money and I was left with a broken phone and now out over $400. Also I got plenty of bad attitude from the store manager that could care less they destroyed my phone.

My phone stopped working on 8/5. I called T Mobile who transferred me to Assurant. A phone" was was sent to my address supposed "overnight", the phone was sent on 8/6 and did not arrive until 8/10. I transferred my information, I waited a day and the phone still did not work correctly. On 8/11 I contacted T Mobile and not being pleased that now being day 6 without a phone T Mobile stated they would ship a replacement phone but it would not be overnight. I stated this was unacceptable and they agreed to ship a phone to a T Mobile store near me but it would be a day. I received a email that the phone had arrived a the store in North Attleboro MA .I then looked and found the store was closed it was 4pm. Now at 8 without a phone I went to the T Mobile store at 10 am and was greeted by a T Mobile employee, later found to be a District Manager, stating the store was closed for renovations.
I then showed his the email that the phone had arrived there and he refused to give me the phone. Keep in mind this is the second vacation day I had to use to deal with this phone issue. I returned home and contacted T Mobile and spoke with customer service rep. Alex. I explained everything and he stated they would send a phone to another store i stated that this was no acceptable that I wanted a phone today being 8-13. He stated he spoke to a supervisor and that I could go to T Mobile at Emerald Sq Mall in North Attleboro and pick up my phone. He then attempted to call the store by they were not open for ten minutes. Alex agreed to call the store and I then drove there.
I went into the store and no call was received from Alex and the staff there stated they do not handle replacement phones. Now being furious being day 8 and being lied to by Alex the only was to get a phone was to buy a new one. Now after paying 99 dollars for the replacement phone I had to trade it in for a 1000.00 phone. I will say the staff at the Emerald Sq mall store were great. It was not their fault for the issues. And the staff also called the other store where my phone was and spoke to who they identified as the District Manager and he would not allow them to retrieve the phone. The stores are less than 1 quarter mile apart. Also I found out that the store the phone was sent to has been closed for two months for renovations. Why was the phone even sent there. So not very happy I returned home.
I again called T Mobile and spoke with Sarah. I was basically told they could do nothing after almost a half hour of her on and off speaking to a supervisor that I was now out 600 plus 100 for a phone I had insurance on. But Sarah did say that T Mobile would give me gas money for my inconvenience, Seriously, I used less that a gallon which mean maybe 2.83 I would receive for my troubles. So it continues I posted a comment about the poor service from T Mobile on the North Attleboro sites webpage and it was removed. I again posted it and stated I would continue to post until the matter was resolved. At approx. 4pm I received a T Mobile supervisor pleading with me to give them a chance to fix the problem and she assured my she would call me back on 8/16 with a solution. Now being 8/17 nothing. I would like the 700.00 I paid o.

I opened a claim for a lost/stolen phone on Saturday Aug. 7, 2021. I was given the website to track my claim. While looking for the link to track my claim I found the link to locate my device. With that link I was able to locate and retrieve my phone. I called to cancel the claim, but was unable to do so (Sunday 8/8/21) I was given the tracking number for UPS and told I needed to stop the shipment. I called UPS and was informed that the sender needed to stop the shipment. When I called Assurant back I was given zero help and only got a runaround.
When the replacement phone arrived, I called Assurant and requested a return shipping lable stating that it needed to be UPS as the Post Office is closed when I get off work. Well it took 3 to 4 days to get the return label and it was for the Post Office. This is going to take additional time to get back to the shipper resulting in an additional amount of time before I receive my refund. All of this could have been avoided if the shipment were cancelled by Assurant when I asked them to. I tried several times to cancel the shipment myself, but the tracking number I was given could not be located by UPS. It was still in the Assurant Warehouse.

The replacement phone seems to be working alright. I have my contacts. I am able to call and receive calls. I get messages and can send messages. I have sent pictures with messages as well. I got helpful Assistants from T-Mobile to get the phone registered. I still have my old number which is also useful. Thanks!

Company cancelled the wrong line and I was unable to reactivate my line. I was left without service for days. Was told there was nothing could be done but wait for the Company to receive the device back. I was forced to add a new phone line to continue running my business. My issue is still unresolved.

I have been a member with Assurant for years and have placed several claims. I have found that there has never been any problems with replacement of any devices once a claim has been filed.. The replacement parts and/or phones have been in excellent condition and without problems. I would recommend Assurant for device protection.

It was delivered the next day, earlier than expected. The whole process was very easy. I didn't realize the benefit of getting insurance until this happened. I didn't realize I could have repaired it earlier. I wish I didn't have to pay 100, but it's better than 500. Thanks.

They were not good to work with. I had to call everyday and talk to a different person each time. It took over 2 weeks to finally get a phone sent to us. I dropped the insurance and would not recommend it to anyone.

I'm not satisfied because I did not receive the same tablet as I was paying the insurance for it. I received a different brand tablet. I would think since I'm paying the insurance for it, that I should receive same tablet as I was purchasing. I think y'all should take that into consideration.

Called multiple times, no feedback or timely follow-up, discouraging and disappointing. I was informed to re-submit claim and even though I had the phone in my possession I had to upload copies of identification etc. It took 3 days of trying to complete claim before it was honored.

My phone screen was completely shattered on a Monday, rendering it useless. I have school 6 days a week and work afterward 5 days a week. So I am busy from 830am~10pm. I made an appointment on Monday during my lunch break with T-mobile store at 1230. They were busy so I understand they couldn't get to me during my lunch break (but it was a little frustrating cause what is the point of making an appointment if I'm just waiting around in line anyway?). I went back to that store later in the day and was told I can handle everything online. So I tried, but no one in my family could remember the pin code required to get through security and I was not an authorized user at the time.
The online help kept telling me to call a phone number but my phone was broken. Even after I was an authorized user on the account they kept trying to send pin codes to my useless phone. It is so frustrating to not have a phone, especially when multiple service agents are trying to use the phone for pin identification and then telling me the only way is to call a number. It took days of me trying to authenticate through chats, going to the store, calling from my parents' phone to get in touch with someone to help. I even tried to go to Walmart to buy a cheap phone but they couldn't help me either.
If I'm going to pay hundreds of dollars for a phone and hundreds of dollars on a service I would expect more care when it comes to a completely useless phone especially since I pay extra for insurance. Why couldn't t-mobile lend me a crappy phone while the validation process through this company was going on. I seriously expect more from a company making bank off my payments. Customer service is one of the most important factors in a company. This experience has made me want to switch services providers when my contract is up.

My main complaint is that the data transfer process still hasn't been perfected & it's time consuming to do manually. Further I've lost my contacts and haven't found any way to restore them. None of my settings or passwords or autofill info transferred. All game history was lost. Samsung notes did not transfer completely. I don't see the purpose of the smart switch app. The phone should arrive with detailed info on how to transfer or backup data. Instead it says to move SIM card, then download Geek app with no real value there either. The phone shipped quickly but it still took a couple days to receive it and since I'm doing the reinstall by hand well the phone will not be returned by the 15th but will ship by tomorrow hopefully.

I ran my phone through the washing machine. It was very clean, but didn't work. Fortunately, I bought insurance. The process was reasonably easy. And I had the new phone the next day. What else could I ask for? Easy to file a claim. Got the new phone in 24 hours.

The replacement tablet was damaged when I received it up. It shuts off automatically seconds after turning it on quite often. The longest I've been able to get the tablet to stay on was 5 minutes and it gives me an error message.

I’m so please with how Assurant handles claims. There is no hassle and it’s easy to do. When my phone was stolen I was in a bad state. But having to replace my phone with Assurant put me at ease with the whole process from start to finish. Also the Metro PCS representative was helping calm down. Our phones are a part of our everyday life. It how we connect, and how we manage important information so being able to receive my phone the next day was awesome and very special to me.

The phone I received had to be bad or got hacked. I finally get this phone set up and didn't set a PIN or anything so the phone was always unlocked. 9 hours into using my phone I get a notification saying use the password to open your phone. Well of course I didn't know what this was. At the end had to do a factory reset. I lost a lot. I ended up upgrading the phone which I really didn't want to do. Bad experience dealing with the problem.

I was taken through so many loops trying to get a replacement phone. I was told to go to a business that was temporarily closed the first time I called. When I called this phone repair company, the workers could not find my order to repair my cell phone. The second time I called, I placed the order for my phone and paid the fee. However, I never received my phone after I was told I would get my phone in 1-2 BD's. The third time around I placed the order for my phone. Then I had to pay an additional $2 to get my replacement phone mailed to me in 1-2 BD's.
The third CSR told me that my second order for my phone did not update in their system and I was not charged the full service fee. After a month I finally got my phone in the mail. If this is how this company treats customers, some rules need to change. This process was very ridiculous. I probably could have made a phone before getting my replacement phone in the mail. Your company needs to step your game up.

I was amazed on how fast my claim was approved and how fast everything was handled. It took like 5 minutes to file the claim and when I clicked submit it went right to the next page telling my claim was approved. Very impressed with this company and will keep this insurance on all my phones. Very great to have for all the unexpected things that can and will happen.

I called from the local T-Mobile store. Although one needs to hear repeated messages about filling out the form online, that was not possible for me to do. I would think there are others who might not have access to a computer. Once I had a human, filing the claim and getting my new phone was quick, easy and wonderful.

Never received my device, it’s been a couple weeks now and my daughter still hasn’t received It!!! I talked to someone and they said they was going to send me a Email when the claim was being issued outs, haven’t received it yet.

My experience with Assurant was an awesome one. The automated portion was very clear with instructions and easy to navigate. The attendant was very attentive to my mishap and helped me while being knowledgeable and polite.

Claim was not processed. Had to call again the following day. Payment was not processed via the link. Did not receive a call or text advising of situation. When I spoke to representative they knew how critical it was to get a new phone.

I returned a phone the time before this claim.... I received a phone call asking about the phone and I told them sent the phone.... While on the phone the lady told me oh I see where it is.... I was still billed for the returned phone.

I am really happy with the claim service process. There's no question about it. I am not satisfy the fact that the replacement phone is a different color. My replacement phone is silver, and my original phone is black. I have not contact Assurant due to the urgency of getting my phone up and going, and my busy schedule.

The process to submit a claim was pretty straightforward. Log in to our mobile provider, select the phone, click the link to submit a claim, provide details about the claim. Within a couple of minutes, notification of claim being approved was received and also an email indicating the phone was being shipped. Phone arrived the next day and damaged phone was sent back in the packing provided. All said and done, I think it took longer to restore my backups to the new phone than the entire process.

I am very satisfied how quickly Assurant responded to my claim. It was an easy process and they shipped me a new phone within a day. Overall very pleased with the entire process. Customer representative was very patient. The cellphone kept coming out incorrectly from a Metro Play 2021 that supposed to be a Metro Play 7 kept coming up. She was able to fix and hopefully I'll receive the correct one.

It is incredibly easy to put in a claim and I had my new phone within about 72 hours or less. I would recommend this to people who are not exactly kind to their phones, who are active and may not handle their phones with kit gloves.

The experience with Assurant was good. However I am still experiencing the same issues with my replacement phone. I'm beginning think it has something to do with 5G. What is the purpose of adding 5G if it is going make my service worse. I have never had any issues with Tmobile and would always recommend people to them but now I wouldn't. This service sucks!!

Cracked my screen on my phone and couldn't use it. Set up the claim to get a new phone and I had a new phone literally the next day by noon. Really fast service. Definitely easier than going to the store and trying to work with them. Nothing like paying $99 for a new phone than $900. Definitely will be using this again in time.

Once I was able to fill out online the claim was processed quickly and phone shipped and arrived as scheduled. Well worth the monthly cost. Claim form was a little more difficult than in the past. It still was not too bad.

I filed this claim, and did receive the replacement phone, however there are two problems:
1. It is not like equipment. Model should charge wirelessly. This one does not. It has been a nightmare trying to transfer files completely. Replacement phone did not take any passwords previously set; calendar does not allow for color coding, which I use a lot; phone would not take changes I kept having to make to organize phone; launcher was useless; had to get another one. I am not happy with the replacement equipment at all.
2. I have had a medical emergency this week, which has delayed my ability to address this issue and get the damaged phone to you. PLEASE, do not charge me for the equipment, as I have proof of going to emergency room and medical emergency. PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA EMAIL WITH MY OPTIONS ON:
A. Do I have to accept this phone that is not equal to what I had? What are my options?B. I need answer to first issue before I can know when I can send the damaged phone.

I contacted Asurion and T-Mobile and they both said I would receive my phone on Saturday July 31st. I had to have it that day because I was leaving town on business as soon as I received it. When tracking came it said it wouldn't come till Monday. Unfortunately that's past my deadline and I couldn't be there to receive it. So I arranged for a neighbor to pick it up. UPS knocked on my door one time, left a note and has never come back. So I still don't have my phone, nor know where it is.

Got a defective phone that does not Connect to a server at all, I am unable to call Assurant because, of the device not having service. I should get a refund for the deductible paid. Very happy that I did have the insurance on the phone. I have lost my new phone and putting in the claim and getting my phone it took about a three business days which was excellent. Once I received the phone I went to the metro store and everything was installed. I am extremely happy for having this coverage.

This phone is a lot worse than the phone I had. It has bad battery and it is a lot slower. The processing power is a lot slower. I have had a replacement device from yall before and haven't had these issues.

The customer service was good on taking the claim and the processing. However, you replaced my phone with a bigger phone that takes a different charger cord and it was not provided with the phone. I have never received a replacement and not received the charger cord. I live chat with someone and they stated they would send me the cord and it has been 5 days and I still have not received. Horrible!!!! Took a month to get a phone. At least 6 hours on the phone and 2 hours in a store. Error was in between T Mobile and Assurant and they agreed from day one but the claim wouldn’t go through and they were telling me to supply an “original receipt” of the phone they sold me and was still paying on!!! Was told every day I was gonna have a phone within 24 hours every time I talked to someone but nothing would happen. Brutal!!! Horrible communication between these two companies!!! Hopefully they figure it out.

After claim was made I waited two weeks. I had a confirmation email sent but when I finally called back I was told that my claim had not been processed. It was processed within ten minutes after I called and the item was received 48 hours later. The claim form should catch any errors prior to providing a claim number if there truly is a problem with the entry.

When you pay monthly for insurance and a $100 deductible for a replacement item you would expect to be sent that exact same item! I think it’s robbery to do a customer like this. The process was somewhat straightforward. Assurant has to figure out how to redirect the customer to a live person when the automated system does network. After 4 attempts, I was able to complete the process over the phone. Received new device and returned old device.

The damaged phone was returned, however Assurant says they did not receive it. As I cannot prove anything with your tracking number (PO says it is not in the system) you chose to charge for the unusable damaged phone. Phone was returned!

To: you. Details. That's a good question, I expected you to the first go round. This replacement phone you sent me is absolutely the worst ** phone I have ever held in my hand. The Speaker is blown. The battery is junk. It won't even hold a charge for much more than a couple hours, It took you longer to get it to me than it should have. I waited almost two weeks and then to get this piece of crap you're calling a replacement for my original. Ya you guessed it. I'm pissed off that you would even try and pass this piece of crap off as a phone. Please make this right. Send me a NEW phone.
I paid insurance so if my phone got broken I would get a NEW phone. Phone was promised overnight, it took 4 days to receive device. Very disappointed, unprofessional, and found lack of quality with Assurant. My insurance is paid monthly, however assurant fell very short of a satisfied customer. Their claim of overnight fell just short of a week. No compensation offered for their error, or our inconvenience.

I filed a claim for an unlocked device for replacement and received once again a carrier locked device. I went through this before and was assured then years ago that this would not happen again. It did. So I have paid a premium for insurance for years that ultimately I can’t ever use. When I purchased the policy I asked all these questions so that I wouldn’t run into this problem and was told that I would not. I am so flustered and angry about the amount of money I have spent on a policy that can’t live up to what was told to me when I purchased it. Each time I spoke with someone I received different information. One told me “we sent you an unlocked device” then turned around and said “Well we never sent unlocked devices. they are all carrier locked.” Another said “we don’t have unlocked devices”. This has been a mess for the second time around and at this point I have cancel service.

I received my phone and I backed up everything and cloned my phone. However I still had to call her as soon as service to activate my phone. And on the automated message they said there was a $15 fee and I was upset because the whole point of me setting up my own phone was to avoid not paying the money. But the Asian I spoke to was very understanding and she did everything she could for me. And when above and beyond. I wish I had her name to give. And that's why I'm doing the survey. Because she is a wonderful agent!

Initially, I experienced some difficulty in getting my phone replaced because my IMEI, from my broken device, wasn't updated by the company to reflect my information. Fortunately, they were able to rectify and I was able to get my replacement in 3-business days.

Couldn't activate the new phone online. When I called customer service the first time I was on hold for a long time then was hung up on, called again and the first person I spoke to was very rude and gave me wrong information. She stated that she couldn't verify my account to activate the new phone. I asked to speak to someone else and the other representative pulled up my account information just fine and I was finally able to activate my new phone line.

It was extremely difficult, as I received wrong IMEI numbers for the damaged phone. Finally after numerous calls between myself, T-mobile and Assurant, T-Mobile conference called between the 3 of us and claim was approved and received replacement. Think part of the problem was had purchased replacement phone because of the date.

I walked in and the guy was friendly. First issue was that Assurant failed to mention that the back glass wasn't included in my policy. I understood, offered to pay the difference and left my contact info and phone. Guy asked if I had a password. I said yes. Even though there was a sign saying that they didn't need it. Never got a call back, so 3 hours later I stop by. Guy asks which phone was mine, informed me that the back glass he had was broken so they couldn't replace it and put the original back on. I didn't notice till I got home but the back glass was in worse shape than when I gave it to him. I went there because it was the closest repair store. But next time if there is any. I'll just drive the extra distance to make sure it gets done right.. Front display was fixed successfully. Although now and then its touch isn't responsive..

When ordering my replacement phone. I had to pay my 250$ deductible and luckily I had insurance. I placed that order on a Friday and that following Monday my phone was in the mail. I then followed up at a T-Mobile store location and they got everything set up for me. They have to activate the SIM so don’t try to activate it from the box. Just a waste of time. The process was easy and I would highly recommend Assurant Phone Insurance.

My S20 ultra 5G broken screen couldn't even be fixed after paying years of their insurance with TMobile. They're just sorry cause they figured it's not what I wanted to hear, not trustworthy anymore and better to take my business elsewhere. I bet it's not what they want to hear.

2-3 days to confirm coverage and phone type is too long. This is less than a 5-minute conversation with the Xfinity representative. During my recent claim, I accidentally placed one wrong piece of information which threatened to hold up the process for an additional 3 days. Firstly, I was not alerted promptly, I found out because I checked. At my insistence, a manager did call Xfinity and was able to straighten the situation in 3 minutes. I was able to get the phone the next day.

After paying for insurance through T-Mobile every month and paying $249 to receive a replacement I waited 4 days to receive my replacement through Assurant and I received a used defective IPhone. It’s ridiculous that I pay for insurance every month plus I paid the deductible of $249 to receive a defective phone. When I called Assurant to see what they would be able to do they sent me directly to apple because my phone had warranty with apple, while I was at the apple store they did mention to me this happens often and is very common with Assurant. Now because of this experience I will be removing this insurance from T-Mobile.

Every interaction with Assurant's staff has given me the impression this company does not care for customers. Three different times I spoke with a representative, every time I struggled to clearly communicate with them. All of the reps gave me lame answers for the 30 day delay on the replacement device, meanwhile the device failed and I lost access to valuable data and contacts.

Claim was for Damaged Device: Samsung Galaxy A71 5G 128GB Black (IMEI: **) you sent Motorola, I returned but something happened with the return. No one can explain!!! Even your damn survey request below states a Motorola!! Since you went through our claims process on 2021-07-26 and received a replacement Motorola device.. We still have not received the Galaxy replacement and I am sick of calling and explaining this story over and over and getting a different explanation every time, worst experience ever!!

While service was clear and quick, the phone received was obviously reconditioned. This was disturbing given the cost of insurance monthly and since I had to pay $50 as a deductible - almost the value of a new phone of the same type. The return by mail was quite easily performed and couldn’t have been easier.

This is probably the second time I've used Assurant for replacing my device, and just like always I receive a nice replacement just as the day I bought the original. It arrived faster than I expected before I even got a tracking number I think.

Original phone purchased was a black note 20 ultra. I went through your claims department due to cracking my phone. The replacement received was a bronze color. I offered to wait until they had a black replacement available in stock and they refused to help me. I am a male and have a rose gold phone.

This is my 2nd I have had to use my insurance coverage and it is very easy, convenient and fast. The staff is extremely helpful and get you through the process with no stress and the best thing is you get your replacement within 2 days. My advice to everyone is to add the insurance to all your devices, repairing and replacements are not cheap. Thank you

The site was not easy at all to use and the only place to get my screen replaced through this insurance process was an hour away. When I called to see if there was a closer location, whoever I spoke to canceled my order. I had to redo on the hour long drive there. Now that the screen is replaced it never reads my fingerprint correctly. Process from start to finish sucks.

My experience was horrible, the company took its time to process my claim by putting multiple holds on my claim and giving me an extremely difficult time about my address which I have had my items ship to multiple times in past claims. It took me nearly two months to resolve my claim issues, in My overall experience with customer service was that I was given the runaround every time I called in and then made to wait 2 days for review after every single change or update I made to the claim. I would not recommend using Assurant for your handheld protection provider, I would highly recommend using an independent insurance company like Progressive Renters or Mercury Renters or any rental insurance company other than Assurant.

My account was handled from start to finish with extreme care and concern. Everyone with whom l spoke was very courteous. My replacement arrived within 48 hours. I was able to replace my grandson’s damaged phone before he needed to return to school. Allowing him to let me know he had arrived to campus without a worry.

I dropped my phone and cracked my screen. The next day I went to a Metro PCS store and right there they helped me file a claim. Before the day was over I was already approved for the claim. The next day they had already shipped out the new phone. I got it the following day. Super quick and easy!

I was disappointed to hear I had to go through a 3rd party. Then I had to pay a $49 deductible fee. I filled out all what needed to including the serial # of the broken phone. After almost 2 weeks of no response (plus my fee had not been taken out of my bank acct) I called for some answers. First person I talked to said they were waiting for my serial #after that, it went smoothly. Received my phone overnight.

The process was easy. I got my phone 2 days after requesting a replacement. I thought it would take longer so I was really surprised. They made the shipping simple for the return I just put it inside the package it came with and dropped it off at USPS.

I was sent a different phone than the one I had. When I called to find out about getting an identical phone to the one that I had, I was told that I would have to send the replacement phone back and wait for another one to come. I am not able to do this as I can't be without a phone for "7 to 10 business days". I hope I never have to file a claim with your company again.

Updated on 08/18/2021: I spent hours on the phone over weeks trying to get my device exchanged for one that was operational. I would call and speak with a specialist, they say they will send out a replacement Apple watch the next day. I say we are replacing a Google Pixel 3 phone. They say the closest thing they have to that phone is an Apple watch. Over and over again I went through this. Finally, after weeks, I get to talk to someone with enough authority to send a phone. They sent me an LG G8 that TMobile won't service with protection 360 even though I pay for it because LG doesn't make phones anymore. They gave a glass phone to a chef.
Original Review: I don't need to relay the events or the timeline as it ought to be on file, right? You screwed up repeatedly and the resolution was to give me a phone inadequate to my needs and that cannot be serviced by my provider as contracted because it is a device from a company who no longer produces phones. Bite me.

Wow! What a DIFFERENCE! To be honest, I waited an unnecessary amount of time to replace the cracked screen on the Samsung s10e because I was honestly nervous about the transferring of data and apps. Worry no more my dear friends! I had support every step of the way. Very early in the process I was assured that everything was going to be alright, especially with the support of my expert tech; Lamiradi (spelling of her name?). I was thrilled and would recommend going through this with anyone hesitant to make the swap from an old cracked phone to a beautiful replacement! I even ordered a new cover for this beauty!

I received my phone. I understand it is refurbished, but not including a phone charger it is unacceptable. Truly? It hurts Metro PCs business because it's linked to your company. Considering canceling my insurance.

I lost my Samsung Galaxy watch 46mm (paid almost $400) and I received a Samsung Galaxy Active 2 44mm worth $100 LESS than mine and my replacement was a refurbished one making the value even less! I should have just closed my line and never filed a claim. I will never get the insurance again now that I know how bad you rip off the consumer!

It was very easy for me to file a claim online to replace my defective phone. The process only took a few minutes and I received my new phone within 2 days. It was also very easy to return my defective phone with the enclosed packaging and label. I called FedEx and they picked up the package the next day.

Very happy with my experience with Assurant when I broke the screen to my brand new galaxy s21 ultra. I immediately called up my phone insurance and told them what happened. Customer service sympathised with me and helped me make a claim in a quick manner. I was surprised when the very next day my phone showed up at my door. I was shocked at the speed they delivered the phone. I AM SO HAPPY I BOUGHT THIS INSURANCE.

Overall satisfied with the experience. I did have two issues: 1. It was not easy to get a hold of Assurant regarding my claim. They said they tried to contact me though I never got/heard anything 2. Horrible shipping issues with UPS. I JUST got my new phone yesterday - over a week after I made the claim.

First I didn't get my phone till 3 days later after filing my claim. Then find out I have to send in my old phone or I will get charged for it retail price. So what's the reason for insurance if y'all get getting something that don't belong to you? My old phone is paid for. And if I paid $80 to $150 for a new phone with y'all would that help? No! I feel like this insurance does not help much. I was better off getting a new phone with another phone company. I wouldn't recommend anyone to get insurance on their phone with y'all. But thanks for what you did.

So this is a long story... My wife's phone (my account) broke on 7/26. We made a claim and another one came very quickly. We opened up the box and were shocked that the phone was completely destroyed! It looks like a bomb went off in the phone. I called immediately and everyone was very nice BUT could not help me until THAT phone was sent back. So I took the box that YOU provided and had a USPS label on there and took it to the post office. They scanned it and gave me a receipt. Apparently your company reuses shipping labels. So when I look up that number, it comes back to an old number from April. So therefore can't be tracked until you actually get it delivered. So here it is almost 10 days later and still no phone and nobody can do anything. So I basically paid a $100 deductible for absolutely nothing.

I filled and paid for the replacement phone on July 23rd and I still have yet to receive it! Every time I call nobody knows what is going on or even where the phone is at! And no one has offered me a refund or a replacement of the replacement. I will NEVER use this insurance company again. We tried to replace a phone. Tried online then had call. Spend 20 minutes on hold then had an automated voice tell please repeat over and over again. Went to the T-Mobile store to help us. Ridiculous to have a customer do that.

It was very smooth filing a claim with Assurant Phone Insurance. My phone fell into the pool. It had water damage. After filing a claim I received an new phone within 24 hrs. T-Moblile activated my new phone transferring information from the old phone. I am glad I had the insurance. Five star serivce all the way through the process.

Received the replacement phone as agreed but it was not in working order. I took it to a TMobile outlet and they mojos not get it to work. Took it to a Best Buy and the Geek squad could not get the phone to work either. Ended up having to take replacement phone to an Apple store where they determined it to be defective also. I have now been without a phone for 5 days. Ridiculous. Not pleased at all. I got the run around from TMobile outlets and they are the ones who offered it to me.

My phone was broken the first time I used the camera. When I filed a claim, which T Mobile agents refused to help me with., Assurant sent me a replacement for my old e 5 play. When I brought this to assurant attention they said it had already been shipped to sent it back and file another claim. The second claim went smoothly but all of this took me thirty days to get a new phone, which is way too long!!!

Lost my phone and used insurance to purchase another. Would have given a 5 but had a hard time getting to talk to someone. When I did I was told exactly what to say so my insurance went through. This was very helpful. Received my phone quickly and had it hooked up at our local US Cellular store.

Once you return your damaged item they claim they never received it then charge you for item and take your deposit. They do not insure return packaging either their warehouse is disorganized and they lose package or the post office workers tend to steal a lot of their package contents from them.

One of the phone users on my account damaged their phone and is no longer able to use it. They called in to T-Mobile was transferred over to Assurant and the representative that they got was extremely rude. She gave both the T-Mobile representative and the caller a very hard time. Eventually the T-Mobile representative decided to hang up because of how rude the Assurant representative was. The caller dealt with the representative, and even though the order was supposed to be delivered on Monday it ended up arriving on Friday. When the device arrived it was the wrong device. When I called in to have the corrective I sent the customer service rep was then very unaccommodating. Which is incredibly inconvenient considering the fees paid for the service and because the incorrect device sent was on the fault of Assurant. I feel like Assurant places the burden of their errors on their customers, which leaves me very unhappy. I'm looking forward to no longer paying the $18 per month fee for that service. Thank you.

Not to happy with the A32 5g phone I received. It seems to have constant glitches, freezes up, and upon further investigation; its system apps are all installed on December of 2008.... ???? Which is causing many more problems. I don't even want this phone at all.

Dear Customer Affairs, I am just now getting around to returning these devices as I have been traveling the last 4 months with my Job. Now that I’ve had a chance to catch up, I noticed that I had already been charged for the unreturned devices. This has caused a financial hardship on my family as I had to figure out how to pay almost $1000 to keep my service from being interrupted. I currently have 10 devices through T-Mobile. Add that to the $500 extra charged to my account by Assurant and now I’m faced with the burden of how to bounce back from the loss of Income due to Covid and now the extra for cell service. It’s been a slow return to work as I am contract labor but things are getting better.
I would greatly appreciate you reconsidering my situation and add a credit to my account with T-Mobile to help us maintain service and the ability to follow up on leads for employment. If this is not possible then please send back the devices that have already been paid for to the address below and I will figure out another way to recoup the $200 deductible and the $500 device fee.

UPS sent my device to the wrong address. When I called UPS to update them they didn't know anything. I called T-Mobile and after a few days of expressing my dissatisfaction, they were able to comp me a phone. It has been over 10 days. I have not heard back from Assurant or UPS. You guys are a waste of my ** time.

I received my new device the next day. Fast delivery of device. Great help and I received notifications every step of the way. I received my new device with a box to ship out my old device label was already on it.

Going on three weeks to simply send, with no charging cord or plug. They say one is on its way. I'm still waiting. Happy? HARDLY. Unhappy to be honest very, I understand and appreciate rules but the craziness they took me through was deplorable,

My claim has been reopened twice and denied because your company has the wrong information on file. I spoke with a manager and he stated that the phone I was claiming has more memory than the one I have. That is the wrong information. I confirmed the IMEI number I was sent and received and you have agreed the information I was giving you was correct. However, my claim is still denied and my phone is still broken. I need my phone replaced! My claim is valid.

Experience was quick and easy! My claim was submitted online but if any questions arose, customer service is always there to answer any doubts. With all the information listed on their website, I found not need to call.

Actually the whole process was a bit confusing & frustrating. The 1st step was clear, and I received an email stating my claim was received & under review. After not hearing anything for a month I called & was told my claim was approved & all I had to do was pay my deductible online. When I went back online it showed my claim was still under review, & I could not find a way to pay my deductible. When I called again, I got an automated system & I was able to pay & get my replacement phone, but what a pain in tuchus!

I didn’t like the service that they offer because I think they over charge on the deductible. I paid $249 for a replacement iPhone eight. I think that is too much money because the original phone was only like 450 and my insurance is $18 per month. So I feel that I over paid and I don’t think that's right and I’m not satisfied with this company at all.

This service was fast and the directions were to detail and easy to follow. I felt the deductible was high and customer should receive a brand new phone due to having the insurance. Customer service was professional and very helpful.

I had no issue with Assurant. They are very professional and I give them 5 stars for customer service. They walk you through the entire process. They give clear instructions so you won't be confused about the process.

I went to Metro to ask when the tablet coming, from my email it said it has already arrived but it never came. I asked around UPS, Metro, and the company there was only an open investigation. HORRIBLE experience!!! Never received my tablet or heard from the insurance company.

You sent the replacement to the wrong address. I still do not have a phone for that number. I mention getting a credit and they dropped me in the customer service queue. So I am disputing everything through my bank. I have never witnessed three companies act so non unprofessional with a total lack of empathy in my life. Metro passes the buck to Assurant and Assurant passes off to UPS and of course UPS back to Assurant who keeps me on hold forever while they try to reach UPS. I have disputed with my financial institution for non receipt of merchandise making it impossible to use the services I had paid for.

I contacted Assurant to file a claim for a broken phone that I have under insurance with them. I did the all process online but I’m very disappointed with my new device! I pay a lot every month for the coverage and when I received my “new phone” is a refurbished phone and you can see in the charging port how old the phone is, it didn’t come in a original apple package and none of the accessories comes with it, not even charger cable, if I would it know that I was gonna get this phone I would rather keep my cracked phone! I also lost apple warranty with this transaction. Planning on cancel coverage!!!

I went to my local Metro PCS to get assistance in replacing my device. I was walked through getting my replacement online and verified my information shipping address, contact phone number, email etc. And was informed that it would be 24-48 hours for replacement to arrive. It took almost a week to get my replacement device. Which as a working single parent is unacceptable because it is my lifeline to my kids. It took me calling the 800 number where I again had to verify all the information I did online when I first filed my claim to get my replacement approved. It was repetitive and inconvenient at best. However, the representative I talked to was beyond amazing! She was very nice, and she knew what she was doing. Although the timeline was frustrating I was confident and very happy with the woman who assisted me.

It was quick and simple. I thought the process was going to take a between seven to ten days but the phone was on my doorstep the next day. I like the fact that everything was done online and I don't have to deal with an automatic teller.

My phone had a broken screen and you sent me a replacement phone, I sent the broken phone to you via USPS. I lost a lot of my contact information because the T Mobile representative who set up my phone did not transfer it. I also lost all my Whats-app information. Thanks and God Bless.

Not at all pleased with the warranty service. The replacement device was not only a larger tablet, but a different brand as well. The tablet they sent does not even show as a current tablet they offer on the T-Mobile site. Had to but a new case as well as paying the deductible. They still show the the same tablet I had on their site, but told me they normally offer the same device as a replacement, but were out at the time. I say bull. I will be cancelling insurance on this and my other device as soon as this is completed. I left AT&T to come to T-Mobile for similar reasons. I can leave T-Mobile as well.

The claims process itself was easy to complete online and I received my new device in a timely manner. However the replacement device began malfunctioning and freezing up right out of the box. Receiving a defective device is frustrating.

I went to local T-Mobile store with phone (screen accidentally cracked. Rep advised me to contact you so I called. In just a few minutes I spoke with your representative. He was very helpful. In just a few days I received new phone & package to return damaged phone. Rep at T mobile store very helpful also in transferring data from old to new phone.
