The claims process was not difficult at all, processing time unbeatable. Effort was made to address our concern with the replacement immediately. Only issue was not within the power of Assurant to fulfill. Our particular phone was newer than the replacement. No newer models available even with our telephone carrier.

Went through insurance for a cracked and a dysfunctional phone. Had the replacement within 36 hours and had the ability to ship the phone right back without any hassle. Highly recommend this service to anyone with a phone.

I was sent a Revvl v plus 5G phone as a replacement that was factory damaged, so I had to send it back in. I was actually sent back a Revvl 4 plus. Very dissatisfied. I would expect the same replacement phone I received to the one I sent in.

The process by phone was quick and easy. My phone arrived within a couple days. I would have given 5 star however I lost a lot of contacts and it took some additional work to gain photo access. Otherwise I was well taken care of.

When I called to report the claim I was told I would receive a new tablet in the box. My package came and I received a refurbished one. I was missing the S pen with Bluetooth that comes with the tablet. I called T Mobile and was put thru to Assurant. The agent was nonchalant and rude. I asked for a manager. The manager gave me the same treatment. Instead of listening I was cut off and ignored. It seemed he preferred to argue with me. My contention was that I was supposed to receive a new device but at least that if I didn't I should have been made whole with the S pen. The manager wavered back and forth telling me my device was not refurbished and was new, but then it wasn't new, but then he didn't know to finally it was refurbished.
T Mobile rep, Tamika, was on the line to hear all of this. She confirmed that I was not imagining this. The manager said some people get new ones and some refurbished. I stated that I wanted a new one like anyone else for the same deductible cost. The manager stated he wouldn't be doing anything about it. I stated that you'd risk losing a customer of over a decade by not fixing this situation and making my device whole, to which he replied yes. In all my years at t mobile and assurant as my insurance I have never been talked to more rudely and disrespected. The assurant employees were callus and cold. I was talked at and not to. The only reason I haven't left T Mobile is because of the excellent professionalism of Tamika in the moment.

It was easy and no regrets. I had written my address wrong on the claim and the options to fix it weren't the right one for me and so if I picked one of those it would give me a notice saying that by changing the address it would take longer to arrive and so I decided to try the chat for help and got someone in seconds and they fixed it for me and submitted it as well. I didn't have to do anything. It was done within a minute and I received my replacement the next day. It was not the same model but a better version. I don't regret paying for the insurance.

A replacement phone was sent to me that was defective. The phone kept turning on and off by itself. Had to purchase another phone and lost my $99 deductible that I paid for the defective replacement phone.

No hassle or struggle! It was a quickly shipped replacement and accurate device. I did have some activation troubles, as my phone wouldn’t allow me to select to send texts from my phone number, but I blame the provider. It worked as soon as I walked in the store. Quite weird if you ask me!

Hi, I filed a claim due to having a cracked screen on my Samsung Galaxy h8. I received the replacement a little less than 2 weeks ago. The replacement phone overheats and the battery drains quickly even when I'm not using it. Here's my issue. I was at a T Mobile store for a different reason when I told the CSR my problems with my replacement phone. I was told to contact Assurant so I did and the chat representative Danny told me I needed to take my phone to a T Mobile location.
I feel a headache coming on and I get very frustrated when I have an issue and am told to do something only to be told to go back to the original source I brought the issue up with. I was advised by Danny with Assurant that I needed to go to a T Mobile store b/c the replacement phone was not broken. I am hoping that this will end at the T Mobile store b/c if I am referred back to Assurant I'm going to lose my mind.

Phone number it's working saying emergency calls. I went to an outside vendor. They were supposed to set up my phone but didn't. Now I just have a phone that's not working. Phone I done had for a week in a half. I really need this phone.

Replacement phone arrived, it was almost impossible to remove the sim card tray, I continued to try until the little handle on the sim card try came off the tray. I called Assurant and was told to send the device back and they would send a new one as long as I paid the $60 deductible again. I should not have to pay another deductible for a phone that was defective in the first place. Poor poor poor customer service.

The printed directions looked like they were copied in someone's home office - pretty blurry and difficult to read. Also, the directions were simple but could have been listed in a better order: transfer data, get the new phone connected, and then ship the old phone out. Also, I was able to get everything handled easily, but to tailor the paperwork to the phone would make things easier. E.g. send Apple product paperwork for Apple replacements and Android paperwork for Android replacements.

Your system defaults my address to an incorrect address without notification and no way to correct it. I didn't know till it was too late and out for shipment. You do not allow for it to be corrected through UPS. Had to return the shipment without resolution.

Extremely dissatisfied with customer service as there was a delay with me receiving my replacement phone because it was reported the change of address request was not confirmed. However when I called they were able to confirm the shipping address so why my phone was not shipped and calls the delay I never understood.

Updated on 10/2/2021: My device was damage and I called Assurant to get a new phone sent out to me. I was told that many time that someone would reach out to me and never did. I was told to go to a local store that a manager from Assurant called to get a new phone since my phone was delayed in Memphis, Tn. Today I have been on hold for 2 hours going back and forth with very unprofessional staff that hung up on me and a T Mobile expert. I recommend t mobile find a new insurance company to use for better service to their customers. I've lost clients and now have lost my job due to not having my phone and I'm a single mother that's been without a phone for almost a month. This is bad business.
Original review: Number one I have been with T mobile for 5 years and I have to say this is by far the worse experience I've ever been in. Due to this matter I've been without my phone for a week and a half. Also as well I lost my job due to this matter. I'm very upset and at this point I want to remove my cell phone from t mobile asap.

The experience was seamless. The phone was delivered in acceptable turnaround time. Also, the fact that the return window gave us opportunity to repackage the damaged phone and send back on the provided package. I also got something in the mail detailing benefits that could cover additional handsets. Thank you.

Efficient, hassle free! Had to have my phone to get back on the right track. Thank you God for a little tiny bit of help. Made a very poor choice to dump money into an iphone at tmobile after my phone was destroyed and remembered why tmobile was just as terrible and overpriced as it was ten years ago!

1. Apple iPhone Pro Max, phone # ** suffered screen damage and was insured. We called T-Mobile late May 2021 to inform of damage and they gave us a number to call Assurant. 2. We called, got a claim number, **, paid $99 for the replacement and received an email saying the replacement phone and the envelope and prepaid label to return damaged phone was on the way. 3. We received the new phone and went to the post office with the damaged phone inside the envelope and shipping label. The picture of the post office receipt has all the info, including that the package weighted 8.80 oz. It was shipped June 2nd 2021, tracking number **.
4. In June 14, 2021 we receive a letter from Assurant asking us to return the device. We immediately called Assurant informing them of the details of the return. She verified the tracking and confirm they received the phone. The rep told us to ignore the letter, that it usually took a couple of days for them to process the transaction. 5. In July, we received our usual T-Mobile invoice, charging us for the damaged phone. We called Assurant again on July 28, 2021, talked to Brad at extension ** and he confirmed that Assurant had received the package but that they were waiting for their warehouse to enter it into the system. He said they were busy, told us not to worry.
6. In August 2021, we received our usual T-Mobile invoice, charging us for the damaged phone, again. We called Assurant August 11, 2021, talked to Ashley, we told them we were extremely worried that we still were being charged for the phone. Once again they said Assurant had received the package but that they were waiting for their warehouse. Twice they put us on hold for over 20 minutes and twice the call was dropped. We proceeded to call T-Mobile immediately that day and talked to Erika at T-Mobile. She said she would take care of it and gave us reference # **.
7. Called Assurant on August 13, 2021 and we were told again that they had received the phone, but were waiting for their warehouse. At this point we were really upset. It just didn’t make sense for a 3 month “wait” for their warehouse. 8. We received T-Mobile's September statement and still being charged for the returned phone and a message that our account would be disconnected and $80 per device to reconnect. 9. We called Assurant again last week, asked to talk to a supervisor. A "supervisor" also named Ashley, no extension or last name given was extremely rude and accused us of not sending the phone back! After saying that they received the package the last 3 months, she now says, 4 months later, that the package they received was an empty envelope.
Needless to say, we are extremely upset with Assurant. We are not in the business of stealing iPhones. Not so sure about Assurant employees at the receiving end. Bottom line, we sent their supplied envelope with the phone inside, the US Postal Service took it, weighted it, gave us a receipt, delivered it and 4 months later, Assurant said they received an empty envelope. Empty envelopes the size of an iPhone do not weight almost 1 pound. You would think someone at the receiving end of Assurant immediately would've noted that in their system. Common sense says that if they really received an empty envelope, they would’ve known immediately, not 4 months. I assume, at least the post office would've been notified. I really doubt the US Postal Service stole the phone or delivered an empty SUPER sealed envelope.

I received my new phone a week ago and noticed there's something rattling inside the phone. The phone works, but has a constant rattle behind the rear camera and the camera has trouble focusing sometimes.

Had a cracked screen on my Galaxy S20 Ultra, I wanted to replace it with a claim so I could use it toward a trade in. Was rather surprised to see an S21 Ultra in the box, didn't feel the need to trade it in anymore. Definitely happy with Assurant upgrading me for a fraction of what I would've still had to pay for a new one.

First of all I initially stated I lost my phone but I end up finding it and it was damaged so I called to see if I could get the difference I paid for my deductible back. I was told NO. The rep I spoke with was nasty and rude. Then I was sent a email on a Saturday saying my phone was shipped but later told I wouldn't get it until Tuesday because you all don't ship on weekends, well if that is true then a customer should NEVER get a email stating a label was created and package was shipped. Second of all I never got the phone I initially had which was the Samsung Galaxy A21 instead I received the A716 both times. I filed a claim in July. September I don't know if this model is a upgrade or downgrade. I returned my damaged phone which I at first thought was lost/stolen.

Damaged phone. Needed to file claim. Went to T Mobile location. They gave me claim form. "Call or go online," he tells me. So went online and filed claim. It was so quick! Phone received within a couple days. Set up new phone. All so easy. Mailed damaged phone back. That was easy too!

Hello, I've unfortunately gone through about 3 now and this phone I last received stays lit up from time to time with only the back button available and you can't even touch it when it does go into this mode of almost sleep. I'd like to try another refurbished one if that's what this was because of this one being faulty.

The phone was supposed to be overnighter, it wasn't. I was told it would come with a charger, it didn't. There were no instructions on how to install the Sim card. There was no tool to open the Sim card holder. Just a phone in a box. I paid $249.00 for this and couldn't get it working. Terrible. Not to mention how much I pay monthly.

The good thing was I received my phone the next day. The bad thing is the phone does not seem new and also makes this crackling horrible noise. Whether I push a button, whether it's a notification, whether someone calls, whether I even hit the microphone it goes and makes this crackling horrible noise. Not happy with used phone.

Waited about a month to get a lost/stolen returned phone unblocked from its security freeze. Kept getting the same answer: "We have put in the work order. Your phone should work again in 3-5 business days." Worthless. Assurant reps just kept following the same script without bothering to find out what was not working. It took an hour for T-mobile tech support to unblock the phone.

I notified your company that I never received my replacement phone and then you tell me I have to wait 10-14 days for an investigation. Absolutely ridiculous. Why do I pay insurance? To be without a phone? And the cavalier response I received from your agent. Truly disgusted and disappointed

Good experience except for deductible pay for ins on disability then have to come up with 174 to get phone so a 61 year old lady can contact family. Along with phone lost all contact and pictures. My husband died 4 years ago. Lost all my pictures of him. Have not been able to access cloud storage because it tells me to retrieve text off stolen Iphone

Following my payment on 9/16/21 and payment of $50 deductible, I was told that the phone would arrive overnight. When that didn't happen, I called Assurant and complained and the phone didn't arrive until 9/21/21, citing Fulfilled by CWork Solutions LLP- 625 Willow Springs Lane, York Pa. Needless to say the length of time it took for delivery was just unacceptable and for that I'm very dissatisfied!

It’s been over a week and I have not received anything yet I ordered my phone on 9/16/21. I have checked ups and it’s been here near my location for almost a week what’s the deal. My wife orders things everyday and it comes in 2 days shipping is not that bad anymore. What’s the deal?

Agent were not sound with client updated information regarding insurance and claim. And they provide different time different excuses not to approve my claim. Last 10 days I spend almost 12 hours to talk with Assurant agent and Tmobile customer care. The agent are not updated with client info and gave wrong information for not approve the claim. Lastly when I told them that they are misleading my claim and I will take legal action against this issue. Then one of senior member called me and under his leadership my claim has been approve. At the end I got my Iphone 12 Pro Max few days ago. Though I have faced serious non cooperation but I am embrace my thanks to Tmobile agent who cooperate with me and approve my claim. The backside of my 11month old Galaxy 10 was cracked. I filed a claim in early August - I provided a credit card # when I filed the claim for the deductible - as instructed. The replacement phone arrived in late Sept (1.5mos later). The phone that arrived was a Galaxy 20fe - which was fine. The activation instructions shipped along with the phone were for a Galaxy 10se? (not a Galaxy 20, which actually has less buttons/controls on it). The only other item sent to me were detailed instructions in English/Spanish on de-activating an I-Phone(?). The actual Assurant phone reps I spoke to during the 45 day claim process were lovely people - and I told them so. The follow-up was a disappointment. The phone also arrived at my house one day later than the FedEx tracker promised.

The phone does not charge properly. You have to wiggle the cable until it catches. Sometimes I have to try several cables to get the phone to charge. I would like for a new replacement to be sent to me.

Super fast and easy, even without the express shipping, I was surprised how fast it showed up. Easy to start up and use, easier to send broken one back. All in all was great work on their end. Wasn't phoneless for too long and I'm sure if anyone else would to share it'll be same response.

The shipping was a little delayed. The devices usually come with chargers to go with the phone this one didn't. The phone was great and transferring things were luckily smooth. Shipping back was confusing. I was not sure if I was suppose to use box or bag. I used the bag hoping it would get there. I did get confirm.

My device was never delivered to me. I've called several times, (FedEx as well) been placed on hold for the longest, was promised a call back and they never called and I still don't have my phone. I paid for my phone and I want it.

I have dealt with Assurant for the second time now in the last 2 years. Dealing with a broken phone is very frustrating but Assurant makes it easy and nearly seamless. Once you fill out the simple paperwork and send in the deductible they send you your new phone in 24 hours which is reassuring when our phones nowadays are very essential to our day to day tasks.

Very quick, responsive and professional! Had some issues with the website but was helped by both T-mobile and Assurant agents. It seems a little easier w/ the overnight shipment and to meet the deadline of returning the broken iPad w/ ease.

The process of filing the claim and the response time are both excellent; however, the co-pay charged is much higher than the amount T-Mobile told me it will cost. T-Mobile told me it would cost $100, but Assurant charged over $200, which I think is very high considering that the phone replaced is an I-Phone X. Thank you.

I received my new phone. However I hated I had to pay another $100.00 after just paying $100.00 to replace the phone. It's all a money scam at the end of the day and sadly we all are the mine on the wheel.

Fast and accurate. Fees were reasonable within my budget. Phone looked even though it is refurbished. Next time replace phones should be brand new and not refurbished. Replacement phone should cover phone cases.

Try calling. 1st rep couldn't help me. The second rep could not find the phone. Told me to wait Two days. They would get back with me. No response today and that was on Tuesday Sept 21st. Today is the 24th. Still have not heard nothing from them.

I received my phone replacement within two days, and it was easy to file the claim. The menu for starting up the claim was easy to follow and then I finished my claim through customer support and online. Overall my experience with Assurant was great, would strongly recommend it. If I could extend this same service I would.

Once I called the Assurant company they collected the data and the phone arrived the next day by Fedex. T mobile, the carrier was little help. They sent us to various stores that didn't have the phone in stock. They never sent the link to complete the claim.

I called and waited 45min for a representative to get on the phone. Explained my issue. She said she placed a claim for me. Said she sent me an email to finish my claim. Never got the email. Had to call back and wait another 45min to talk to a rep. The person I spoke to the 2nd time explained to me a claim was never filed for me. Horrible service. The 2nd person was good but after the 1st person I was already upset.

All went well after. But had one issue...Have been paying my premium for the phone every month..But when I started the claim had to go through loops. Was told they had to verify the device with TMobile. I thinks they should know on what phone they were collecting the premium....

My only real problem was all of the time that I spent on hold trying to get a phone after mine was stolen in two and a half days I probably spent close to 4 hours on hold between T-Mobile and Assurant. Once I did talk to somebody that people were always nice on both sides but it is quite hellish waiting all that time on hold.

It took me from September 11 until September 23 to actually get anything done correctly. The first order that I put through it turned off the wrong phone and turn my phone off instead of my son's phone that was stolen. It took 3 to 4 days to get the phone back and then it took two or three days for them to send my phone out. Everything that I did it would take 24 hours. I know there's a process that would allow an override of that 24 hours but I was not there at all times.

When I call the customer service I was answered by a representative name Jonathan, I was asking him about how long I can get my new phone when I pay my deductibles and he helps me what to do in a computer to file my claim. He is so helpful I can feel that he really know what he's doing.

The biggest problem is that Assurant had placed limitations on where my phone could be delivered. Assurant needs to ALLOW for consumers to PICK UP phones FROM the UPS STORE ALSO. I have had packages thefts from my front porch and I do not own a business for delivery either.

They tell me my phone is on backorder and that there is nothing they can do but when you read them the policy and say you're getting your attorney then they can help you. Then your phone is in stock and when I get the phone yeah it's the same model but it was the wrong color. I hope I never have to go though you guys again.

Excellent service. Went to a local T-Mobile store to check on how to replace lost phone. They pulled up my information and saw I had this insurance and give me my options as to file a claim or to purchase another phone. To the insurance plan paid the deductible. The new phone was overnighted to my mailbox the next day and was waiting for me upon arrival. Excellent service from both parties involved. Hopefully I won’t lose it again.

To much red tape to make a insurance claim and unnecessary time talking with too many representatives about the same issue. Once approved after two weeks they downgraded the replacement. Had to go through this process again to resolve this issue.

After contacting you and being told that my replacement phone would arrive in a couple of days, I was on the lookout for it. However, almost a week passed and I still did not have my replacement. I called again on a Sunday evening. That rep told me she could take care of it (and she did), but my question is why did the first call not result in getting the replacement to me? What would have happened had I not called back?

We sent our daughter's phone in to get a cracked screen repaired, it was a Samsung s7. They did not inform us if the phone could not be fixed and just sent an s10. We would of preferred to have the original phone back with a new screen.

I broke the screen on my phone and was sent a refurbished phone. I had trouble with it from the moment they sent it to me. It didn't come with a tool to get the sim card out. I called the phone company and they told me to use an earring. After I put my sim card in, I got an error message that there was no sim card. I called phone company for three days trying to remedy the situation. By the time all the techs were done trying to fix the phone, it was completely inoperable. I have a family and two jobs.. It was very inconvenient to not be able to communicate. I didn't have a working phone for a week..

My phone wasn't delivered next day air like Assurant said it would. Instead I had to wait a week and when I called customer service the only thing they could say or do is that it was on UPS's hands. When I called UPS they said that Assurant hadn't sent the necessary documents for them to ship. Horrible customer service!

Normally I have a 5 star experience however this time not so much. I at no point was informed I wasn't being provided with the device I had. I was sent a device that isn't even the same brand and honestly don't feel it's the same quality. They claimed it to be an upgrade but I don't find it to be better than my LG Stylo 6. I'm not happy about the phone received but was told that is what I have now. I feel I should've been given options to research and choose the best fit for me since I wasn't being provided with the same device I know and loved

I was happy with how painless this was. My Samsung Galaxy 10+ phone stopped charging when I plugged it in. I called T-Mobile up and since my phone was insured they sent me to Assurant. They will fix or replace the phone. They sent me a refurbished one. It physically looks great. So far it seems to work as well as the other one. I have had this replacement for a couple weeks now and it seems fine. The battery may be an issue since it doesn't seem to hold a charge very well. I am monitoring it. The first trade out went well. If I need to replace this one and it becomes difficult I will update this. If all their dealings with me are this easy then I will be very happy. Good job guys!

Thank you for replacing my iPhone 11. I had replaced my 7 with an 11 only recently and then the apps started acting funny and then I couldn't use it all. My husband always makes sure we have the insurance - and it was much easier than I could have imagined! Although I would have much rather preferred to do the claim over the phone when I called because who can do anything with a toddler on your feet? (I ended up doing it late at night.) You sent me the link via email and I completed the claim. Easy peasy.

The phone I received to replace my broken one was defective.. The volume of the audio on phone calls was too low and could not be changed (I talked to several different people to try to resolve this). However all the people I spoke to were very nice and helpful. I have returned the defective phone. I'd say quality control needs to be tightened a little.

My wife’s iPhone 11 Pro had to be replaced - so we went through Assurant via our Cell carrier. Long story short - Assurant sent the incorrect phone as a replacement. We noticed this as soon as we opened the box, so the new phone is unaltered, etc. Looking to talk with a representative about their obligations to the contract. 2 stars for now since my wife has to wait even longer and does need her phone for business - this should be taken as an opportunity for customer service. Our phone was cracked when we received it. We paid $140 which was more expensive than the $100 they told us it would cost for a replacement. For this price it should not be cracked!!! We had to submit several claims because ONE number in the EMEI was incorrect on their end and did not match on T-Mobile's? which the information came from. When that got fixed they denied the claim again with this isn't the phone... Filed another claim and sent in purchase information and again was denied as this was not covered at time of incident. Finally after 3 conference calls with T-mobile and Assurant and 4 claims this was finally taken care of, not to mention the re-opening of claims. The Service on the Assurant side of things was horrible, they don't help you. They would not work with us. We had to go through T-mobile Customer Care and do conference calls to get this to go through. This Insurance is a joke for what you pay for.

Completed order online quickly. The order was not verified very quickly, called, got an operator, the order was verified and approved immediately. I'm not sure how much longer I would have had to wait if I didn't call. I believe I waited about a week and a half.

Assurant's customer service overall I would rate a 6.5/7 out of 10. I noticed that I had to jump through several phone call loop holes to get the proper rep, and on top of that the first representative didn't take the proper information which delayed my ship out time. I also was a bit annoyed and aggravated that the new refurbished device they sent me, actually had the same problem that my returned phone had. The screen would not slide. I'm guessing Apple's iPhone XS are having that same issue but it was just annoying.

I received a used cell phone. I could not pull up my email without a verification code. I could not get that my email was not working on my cell phone. Also the cell phone # I received in August 2019 was used. I have been getting calls from American Express. I called them yesterday. I told them I am not the person they are calling, The agent that I talked to said he would clear this up and I would not be getting any more calls. If I would have gotten a new phone that I asked for I would not had to replace it with a new one. Also If I did not return it by 9/20/21 there may be a charge up to 1500.00 which is not right, I did not receive the cell phone until 9/15, 2021 at 5:30 pm. I waited all day Monday and no phone received. It is FedEx's fault I did not receive the phone when I was suppose to. I should not be charged if I don't return it. Augusta has had some rain. I have been a customer to Comcast since 1974.

I cracked the screen on my phone. When I received the replacement phone, it was defective. I called to explain the situation to the representative, who was very helpful. I had to keep my phone with the cracked screen, send back the new phone that was defective, and waited for the 2nd replacement to arrive, which arrived a day later. I am very impressed with how fast the phone came and how helpful the representative was. She listened attentively as I explained the situation and figured out how I should proceed. Well worth having the insurance.

I submitted claim on Saturday Sept 11th. By Wednesday the 15th I had the replacement phone. It was super easy to submit the claim online, answer all the questions needed and pay deductible. Mailing back the old phone was super easy as well, thanks to the provided envelope

Is this some kinda of a joke? You sent me 2 used phones that didn't work right. I told them each time I WANTED A BRAND NEW PHONE. They Sent A 3rd Phone That Is Used And Drops Calls. I Want A Brand New Phone To Replace This Phone. I Don't Want Somebody's Used Phone.

Had insurance on my Galaxy active s8 for over 3 years, great phone. When I finally destroyed phone I filed claim to replace paying the $99 deductible, and received and inferior phone, galaxy note9. I was on vacation and has phone delivered to island (great you delivered to alternate location), could not get screen protector or case. I kept in a dish towel and phone still broke in half in two days. I realized that the s8 active was still in production, so ordered one from Amazon for under $200. (I know you say will send same phone or similar, but phone is still in production). Why did I pay years of insurance and then the deductible, when all I had to do was reorder one for cheaper. I have canceled my phone insurance and other lines on my account. I feel I was taken, lesson learned. Steve.

Returned damaged phone back within ten days and keep getting letters about Assurant not receiving damaged phone and wanting to bill me. When I have called twice, have been told by Jose and Marcus, that phone did arrive at warehouse but hasn't been "processed".

When I added the insurance for my phone I was told that all I had to do was bring my phone to any tmobile and it would be taken care of in store. I went to tmobile and the representative explained to me that the policy has changed. I now have to call Assurant, pay a deductible of 30-60 dollars, and I would be sent to an authorized repair store to get it fixed. So I called Assurant and was told that the only option was to pay a deductible of $100, and I would receive a refurbished phone instead. After speaking with a couple different reps I decided to see what condition of these refurbished phones would be. I paid the deductible and received a scratched up piece of garbage. There were noticeable scratches all over the back and one very noticeable scratch on the screen that they tried to cover up with a very cheap screen protector. Other than the tiny half inch crack in the corner of my screen, my phone is in perfect condition.
I have returned this "company certified refurbished" phone back to Assurant for a full refund of my deposit, and canceled my insurance plan. Although I always recommend Tmobile, I will never recommend the insurance plan if you are the type of person who takes extremely good care of your things. I would gladly pay the $100 deductible just to take it to be repaired somewhere. It is discourteous, and insulting to your customers to think that a this kind of service is ok. I hope in the future Assurant will be more accommodating to their customers needs, or that Tmobile is able to switch to a different insurance company.

I attempted to file a claim on 09/04 and it showed that my claim was approved and my bank billed for the $99 deductible. But I never received a claim number or any other notification. When I tried to track my claim on 09/07 a new claim was started. I spoke to a CS rep who assured me that I would not be billed a second time and if for some reason I was getting a refund would be quick and simple. I was indeed billed a second time on 09/10 and have spent the last week and a half getting the run around from nearly every rep I have spoken to regarding my refund. I have uploaded 7 documents with evidence but only 4 show up in the system. I was told my docs would be reviewed in 24 hours and it has been over 5 days with no communication from Assurant. Overall Assurant has been a terrible company with a very low amount of reps who are willing to try and help.

After making the claim never I was advise that didn’t have the phone storage. My is 512 and I got 64 gb black which also never was advised that I wouldn’t get same color iPhone. Very poor customer service. I’m returning item back and I would need my refund back, I’m cancelling insurance as well with my provider. Scam.

It took over a month to get a replacement. Had to submit my request several times. Sending my ID twice. Very upset! A lot of the problem was with T-Mobile. They had the insurance on the wrong phone number. Having two. This has been a very unpleasant experience.

Fairly simple process. Customer service transferred me to Assurant Care team member. I was asked several questions regarding incident (moisture in phone/ drop in water at beach). Claim was approved but took longer than I expected for replacement to be received. I returned old phone on 9/17/21 via USPS.

My phone had a crack on the front glass and I was sent to an authorized repair place to walk in and have them fix it. I paid my $99 deductible at that time. The technician explained to me that removing the front glass may crack the glass on the back of the phone and indeed it did. If that is the case and I had insurance, why didn't they just replace the back glass at the same time???? This makes no sense. I am very disappointed in the service.

My replacement phone experience was overall satisfactory but the only thing I didn't like was the fact that I was told that as long as I placed my order before 8pm EST I would receive the replacement within 24 hrs. However, I placed my order on a Friday at 10pm EST and didn't receive my order until Tuesday.

Very quick and easy claims process. Was able to get my phone replaced, after accidentally cracking my screen, in a timely manner with pretty good directions on how to follow-through. I did utilize T-Mobile to help with ensuring my information was transferred to the new phone, as I'm not great with things like that.

They sent me a phone with a defective battery. I’m pretty sure it’s a refurbished phone. I have several problems with this knowing I have paid monthly for insurance and protection for 3 years. Not only I had to pay 100 for a replacement but the replacement they sent me is not a new phone. It keeps cutting off randomly without showing a dying battery.

My initial experience with them was great. Got my replacement right away, working fine, 10 days later got letter saying they didn't receive my old phone yet. Contacted them back with receipt of mailing from post office and received email response confirming they found my device and disregard future messages. Got more "We didn't get your phone" letters and disregarded them until they billed my account and bounced my checking account. Contacted them multiple times with T-mobile rep online and Assurant rep confirmed AGAIN that the phone was received PROMPTLY and a refund would be made. Several more such back and forths till one assurant rep said "Oh, we got the package according to the tracking data but it was the exact type of phone they were insuring for me but it had the wrong mei number so no refund".
This whole process took months so no doubt there was a mixup in the paperwork. However to have received an initial email from the assurant team that my device had been located and now it's lost should have signaled to the qc that something strange happened on THEIR END and to take responsibility instead of defaulting to shaft the customer for 500 ish dollars. I will be sharing my story on every available platform available to me until they fix this.

I lost my business phone on a Saturday, reported it on Sunday and did not get my replacement until Friday. The worst part perhaps is they confirmed they had all the info needed, and yet would not tell me what the hold up was. A business phone needs to be replaced the next day - no exceptions. And not being given answers is inexplicable. I was told I should have a spare and that it just takes time to review the claim. That's ridiculous and just poor service!!

I had absolutely no issues regarding your insurance services when it came to returning a damaged phone. You mailed out the new one next day, I got it in 2 days and was able to set it up and get the old one mailed out next day. Everything went completely smooth.

Phone was lost on Thursday. Filled out paperwork online and was told it would be overnighted. We did not receive the new phone until Monday after 6p.m.. Not only that, but we are in York, the phone was sent from York To HBG where it sat until Monday morning. I contacted UPS and they said the code on the package is not for OVERNIGHT delivery. When I received the package there was a sheet of paper with the order, etc. and in BIG PRINT is showed OVERNIGHT. I was not happy. 4 days without a phone is unacceptable.

When I pay for an insurance so expensive I hope for the best service, this was not the case. I did my claim over 10 days ago already and still I haven't received my new phone. We all know how important is to have a phone in 2021. The insurance charges a monthly payment plus a huger deduction fee to give you a new phone and takes over 10 days to get you phone delivered, I don't get how this insurance work, very very disappointed.

I'm very bad about breaking phones. This is probably my 5th or 6th claim with Assurant, because my old job I worked at a UPS facility where there were conveyor belts about 4 stories high. I dropped 2 phones off that and Assurant replaced them both within 2 days. I've dropped other phones where I just got extremely unlucky with how they dropped, and Assurant replaced those as well!
And most recently, I completely destroyed a phone with an electric power jack after it fell out of my work vest pocket. I rammed right into it without realizing it until it was too late. Assurant had to review it, since the phone was completely destroyed so it took a little longer than usual but they still were able to send me a device that looked and felt practically brand new! I'm so prone to damaged phones I wonder why I will use a smartphone. But nonetheless, Assurant has been there to help me fix that. Definitely worth putting insurance on your phone. You never know what could happen!

Very dissatisfied with my service through Assurant. I love my phone company T-Mobile but their insurance is not very well. They don't know how to send the link to your email. I asked three or four times. My claim was approved on on the 9th and then I did not have a phone still by the 15th. I still don't have a phone. I had to upgrade to get a phone. I was claiming three phones. We had a flood in our house and we set our phones on top of a shelf and the shelf was knocked over during the chaos and the phones were broken. Claim them. They were approved and then when I called or went to pay the deductible the last phone was was not approved. Don't know how this happened. I hope they get it straight.

I got the device and it was the wrong sim card. It is too big and doesn't fit. I called back and I was told that I would be sent another sim card. I still have not received it. That was a week ago. I still have no phone.

The agent who took my initial call got my address wrong. No one at Assurant could correct it. No one at T-Mobile was authorized to correct it either- so my replacement phone was stuck at UPS. After 11 years as a T-Mobile customer, I switched to AT&T and got a new phone with them.

Getting everything together took multiple calls back and forth with Assurant and T- Mobile. This took 4 hours or more also being on hold. Needed to buy a new phone as my son was on a 5 month Pacific crest trail hike from Mexico to Canada. The phone was his limited contact with the world and his Guthook GPS map system. Finally received replacement after a month.

I called to do a claim on my phone and I didn't appreciate the customer service I received. The guy I spoke with made me feel like I was doing something fraudulent as if I was some kind of criminal or something. Whenever I file a claim they ask me what happen, I tell them, then they explain to that if the phone is still in my possession that I need to send the old phone back within 15 days or I will be charged a fee of $86.00 for the old phone and that I will have a $50.00 deductible.
This guy started asking me all sorts of question then told me I needed to send in a photo copy of my ID. I asked him why, that I never had to send a copy of my ID to Metro. The guy then stated that I had done 2 or 3 claims already on the phone and that T mobile wants a copy of your ID before they can approve it. I told him that is what insurance is for. I told him I have been with Metro for over 13 years and I have 4 phones and I pay insurance for all of them and I have never had to send a copy of my ID. I just said ok, but I am not to good at computers, can I just take my ID to one of the Metro store and have them upload it. The guy told me yes.
The young man in the store was very polite and said he would help me, but that he worked for Metro for years, and that he had never known Metro to ask you to upload a photo on your claim. I also tried to pay my deductible and they had some kind of block on my phone that wouldn't allow me to pay my deductible. Anyway I did upload the photo and now they are telling me that I still have to wait 3 to 5 business days before I can get my phone when normally I pay my $50 deductible and get my phone the next day. I am very dissatisfied how I have been treated through this process.

The claim process was easy and the shipping was quick. However, the iPhone I received is faulty. The phone does not hold a charge and the screen is not properly calibrated. It also has frequent error messages pop up on the screen. Disappointing after paying $250 replacement fee plus the monthly charge.

I'm impressed how there is next day shipping getting your replacement phone the next day after submitting insurance claim! However, I'm not impressed with the fact that you don't get the same exact model of the phone originally purchased when receiving your replacement phone. What upsets me the most, however, is after my phone was ran over by a car, and my Assurant phone insurance helps me replace that phone, but now the phone that Assurant phone insurance just replaced me with doesn't work either. So now I have to replace the phone I just got done replacing because now I'm having trouble, and issues with communicating with phone recipients that I talk to.
I can hear the person from my end when the person speaks, but the recipient can't hear me. Sometimes if I use headphones as means of communicating when making a phone call. Some people I call can hear me fine when I communicate with the headphones but others can't hear me at all. There's other issues as well, but what I want to know, is if Assurant phone insurance be willing to waive the $60 phone replacement fee charge this time around, when this time I replace my replacement phone? Considering the circumstances negating the fact that I just got done replacing my previous phone, which got ran over. Now my new replacement phone don't work either, so I have to replace phones once again!?

My Galaxy Note 20 fell and resulted in a cracked screen. I had my replacement phone within 4days, would have been sooner but it was over Labor Day Weekend. $99 for a phone like this, I say well worth the $15/month for insurance.

I had my phone stolen, Reported it within 1 hour of the incident. Within just a few minutes of talking with the representative, I was approved, I paid my deductible and had a new phone on its way... AND delivered the next morning. I didn't expect this type of service... and sooo happy with the end results.

I received a replacement phone real fast but it was a locked phone and after making numerous phone calls and trying to figure out what went wrong, I was told to send it back. So I did. I haven't heard from anyone. Meanwhile my phone is out of service.

I have had three claims within the last 10 years or so and this has by far been the best and easiest one. All of the other ones were absolutely terrible and frustrating experiences. Holes have obviously been filled in this system.

Submitted claim. Quarantining C19. Local T-Mobile store. Received incorrect replacement phone. Returned broken phone. Assurant wants me to return incorrect replacement, being phoneless, before issuing correct phone. They also told me delete all of (lose) info. on phone. Unbelievable.

I filed a claim for a damaged iPhone XS, paid the deductible, and promptly received a replacement device. Initially, the new device functioned as expected but was occasionally briefly dropping cell service. I thought nothing of it, and continued on about my day. Then, about 10 days after receipt of the device it began warning me that it was unable to verify its battery as authentic from Apple. Again, no performance degradation at this point - so, I dealt with it. Several mornings later, I noticed a single hairline crack appear after taking it off the charger. At this point (14 days after my receipt of the device, 15 days since it left Assurant) I contacted Assurant via the form on their website. They instructed me to contact T-Mobile, as the new device came with warranty coverage through them, but noted that the fact it was cracked meant it would have to be filed through warranty.
I contacted T-Mobile, who transferred me to Assurant. Assurant was processing the request, except they noted it would have to be filed as another deductible due to being greater than 14 days (which is partially true, but it was 15 days at that point since I received the phone...but I made initial contact the day prior, and the Assurant agent was actually citing to me the # of days since *they* shipped the device, not the # of days since *I* received the device).
At any rate, I vowed again to just deal with it at that point. However, several days later the device then began restarting every 5 minutes / showing no battery / not seeing accessories. I assume this is the device protecting me against the battery creating a safety issue. Once again, I contacted T-Mobile - and they issued a warranty replacement. However, they would not take the device back at T-Mobile for the warranty because they could not see past the hairline crack - despite the fact that hairline cracks are generally covered under Apple's initial warranty. I also contacted Assurant, and received essentially a copy/paste of the first response to my online issue.
At this point, I've just placed a pre-order for the new iPhone and will deal with what little use I can squeeze out of the replaced device for the next ~week. I was hoping to get at least another year out of my XS, but here we are. I've cancelled the insurance for my new device, as to date I've paid significantly more between premiums & the deductible than I would've paid had I walked the original, working device into the Apple Store for an out of warranty screen replacement.

We returned a phone on 7/5/2021 and as of 9/17/2021 it has not been scanned in. I confirmed they got the box on 9/11/2021 but phone was not scanned at that time. She said give it 48 hours to find and scan. So they have had 4 days to correct this. Now T-Mobile is trying to charge me for a phone you have but did not scan in when received. Total **.

9/2/21 And I yet to receive my phone. After going back and forth with your agent and explaining to them that your website would not work for my ID verification I finally was allow to email it to you. Call agent to confirm they received it since it was rejected several times. She told everything was ok. Only to get an email again that they could not follow thru because of my ID not being accepted. Again back and forth. Somehow they decided they got it o ky to be sent the wrong phone. Just out of knee surgery trying to take care of business. Now they wouldn't mail a new one till I got someone to send the replacement back. Just got out for a doctor follow up so sent it out yesterday. Again no phone as of yet. Never have I had so much problems with your insurance as this time when I really needed someone to help me solve all these issues.

While at our Summer home, I dropped my phone cracking the screen. I asked that the replacement be sent to Missouri, but they wouldn't do that. I had a friend send it from Florida at a cost to me of $38.20 for OVERNIGHT. NO INSTRUCTIONS on removing old sim card and putting in replacement phone. After 3 5 hours on the phone between Metro and Assurant, I finally got old sim in. BUT NOW, my account is LOCKED and I have to drive 1.5 hours one way to METRO store to get it unlocked. How do they expect a customer to remember 20 years ago what month they started service? That question is designed to make customer service unavailable for all practical purposes. Several lower level employees tried to help but they are fighting a losing cause. The higher-ups want you to switch to t-mobile for more money. Bad corporate management.

Very fast replacement. Phone was on the way within a few hours. The entire process was very easy and took no time at all. I thought that this would be a big hassle and was extremely surprised at how easy it was to get my replacement phone.

They no longer provide a service. You have to file paperwork yourself and when you have exhausted yourself with troubleshooting a problem the support will tell you what needs to be done except when it doesn't work they keep telling you the same thing over & over. For me it was my postal code, it would not let me input it that comes at the end of paperwork. I was told it would not erase the info filled. I said do not reset cause there is nothing incorrect only what it won't let me input in the end. Had to start over. Also took 4 days to receive replacement and it is posted next day. Just understand this is not insurance, it's a bank and most likely one of the top 3 so don't expect any honesty. That's why I use credit union for my financial needs.

The service part was fine, but I got a refurbished phone in place of the one I bought brand new. One would expect if one has a deductible as well as coverage paid for each month, the very LEAST to be received would be a new phone exactly as good as the original one.

My replacement phone got held up at FedEx which is understandable. However the rep who told me I needed to handle it with FedEx could not have been more off on this. They only deal with the shipper of origin not the receiver. I tried explaining this to the rep who insisted it was out of his hands and he would not help. The second rep helped by contacting FedEx and having my phone sent out after being held up for days. The point is, every staff member should do their job and it starts with training or caring to help. Very disappointed.

The response was quick but I am not happy that the refurbished phone has a battery that lasts half as long as the original. Even worse, it seems like Samsung or Metro has begun the process of urging me to buy a new phone by deliberately slowing down my phone. It's horrible at the moment.

For the amount I pay monthly on my devices I was told I was covered...was not explained the differences on grades of insurance! Not worth my time. I will remove from my devices. Will never use you again!
