    I couldn't remember my pin, so online didn't work and I had to use the phone. The wait time was surprisingly short, and the claim process very easy and fast. The closest repair place was 14 miles, not too bad. Replacing the screen took an hour. I dropped it and we went out to lunch.     I lost my business phone on a Friday morning. Called Assurant around 1 pm. If you reach out to them before 7 pm they will ship next day. It's now Monday and the new phone has not arrived. On Saturday someone called me because they found my phone. I called Assurant to let them know and to unlock my original phone. They said they CAN'T UNLOCK my original phone until they get a scanned confirmation from FedEx I have returned the new phone. And even when I do return the new phone it can take 2-3 days for my original phone to be unlocked. It Monday and the new phone hasn't even arrived yet. They apologized for the inconvenience. This is not an inconvenience, it's a 3 day disruption to my business where I am losing calls and clients.

    I only gave a 1 because a zero is not available. DO NOT use this company for phone insurance!!!! Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere for insurance!!!! I have been jumping through hoops trying to have a claim on a phone approved for 2 weeks now. I had to merge from Sprint to T-Mobile and part of the merge was switching to Assurant. Assurant has been unprofessional every time I have had a conversation with them. They continue to ask for documents to support information they already have in an attempt to refuse my claim.

    I had a 4 way call including Myself, a T-Mobile rep, a Sprint rep and an Assurant Supervisor. The Assurant Supervisor was so rude to us all, the T-Mobile rep said she was going to file a complaint with Assurant and T-Mobile. I am 57 years old and have never been disrespected and outright discounted this way in my entire life.

    I lost my iPhone 13 Max Pro 6 weeks after buying it. I was sent a refurbished phone because Assurant has the "option" to send me whatever phone they want. iPhone users should purchase insurance directly from Apple. I can't even purchase a refurbished phone from T-Mobile, so how do they happen to have a refurbished phone for me? No iPhone user should purchase insurance through a carrier. Assurant will NEVER send you a new phone. Apple on the other hand will send you a new phone.

    Worst experience ever, customer service representatives clueless, rude and inexperienced. Filed a claim, paid deductible, have been waiting over 7 months now with numerous hours racked up to try and get resolved. Sent copy of license 4 times. Every time you call you go over and over the same information and they guarantee they are sending a replacement. There are many other insurance companies that support their policy holders but not Assurant!

    Replacement quick and easy for 2nd time. A bit disappointed since T-Mobile with 360 coverage the replacement would be free. Won't do that again for replacement. Insurance is supposed to cover replacement. So at $38 a month x 12=$456 a year can buy a replacement.

    Mobile Phone Insurance. I started the claim process yesterday (Thursday) evening, went through it all on the phone with Assurant's automated system, only to have it tell me I needed to complete the claim with an agent, but you were closed, and it hung up on me. So today, Friday morning, starting over, I fill everything out online, submit it, get a claim number, only to be told that Assurant needs me to submit another claim form and upload it, and this can't be done online. So I have to go find a printer to be able to fill out that form (Assurant's form is a pdf without text completion), which contains identical information to what I already submitted electronically, and then Assurant needed me to scan or fax (?) it back to them, so I had to go find a scanner to do that, and when I tried to upload the scanned pdf, Assurant's system wouldn't accept that type of document format, so I had to just send a photo of the form, which I don't know if it will be accepted.

    Assurant's chat person tells me that until Assurant reviews this duplicate information, my claim won't be processed. So by now it's Friday afternoon, I have paid Assurant $30 extra for Saturday delivery of my replacement phone on top of the $100 deductible, and Assurant can't/won't tell me if they will be able to do that. I am desperate for this replacement, I have spent hours on this claim, I am extremely frustrated by this runaround, and I have paid more for this "insurance" than it would have cost me to just take my phone and have it fixed out of pocket.

    For reference, the form Assurant needed submitted in hard copy form was already filled out by Assurant with all the information, and all Assurant wanted me to fill out was the incident description (for the 3rd time), and my driver's license number. Both of these had already been provided to Assurant in the electronic filing, but they would not proceed with my claim until they had received this previously submitted information again. Why did Assurant need me to go print it out and scan it back? The only reason I can think is to put additional hurdles in my path to see if they could avoid fulfilling my claim.

    Accidentally damaged my phone screen when I was removing my phone from my pocket and it dropped to the ground and shattered the screen. I force the phone over to the Metro by T-Mobile store nearby my home in San Francisco California and they gave me the information I needed to get in touch with the company Assurant... I called them and they verified the situation and also give me the information that I needed to either pay my deductible online or at the store location so the next day I went to the store location and paid and within the lot of time I received the replacement phone package. There's a box to send it back that was provided and I just need the transfer the information from my old phone to the new one and get that taken care of and then I'll send that back to them.     I had filed my claim in a metro store and was the form was filled out by the employee at metro store but there was error so I completely understand and at the store was told it'll be processed within 24 hours which it denied states "not cover by warranty". Then I went on their website. It shows coverage by the policy guideline. I called to check on claim why was denied was told just re-apply which their customer service did but called next day ask for inquiry. They said 3 more days and I tried escalate to management and I inquiry why was taking that long. Our life is surround with using our phone for business, social media, banking. For them to continue delay without a explanation is really dreadful because it's hard to function without our device as that is the new social norm. I would like them to honor the time frame as posted on their website and agreement.

    I had a Samsung S10 phone. The microphone stopped working. Contacted them. They were quick sending a replacement out and quick to take my money for the replacement service.. Received the replacement phone. It was overheating while charging and while trying to upgrade it. After downloading firmware for the phone it went into a continuous rebooting process. Called them and they said that they will need the defective phone back before they will send me another replacement. I was told I have to call back after they receive the defective phone before they will reprocess the claim and send me a replacement. My tracking number shows that they received the phone. I called and they now tell me that they have the phone but they now have to process the defective phone before they can send me a new replacement. Mind you they have my money and their old phone..

    They now it may take up to 3 business days then I have to call back then. I ask to speak to a supervisor and they tell me there is none available and they will call me back within 2 to 3 business days. Now that puts it into over a week and still no working phone.. and I have to now call back next week and try to get this resolved. And the whole time I haven't even received an email from this company telling me anything about the status of the claim.. with this service I don't think I will be using them or Costco for my future phone services. In the past I have used for at least 6 or more phone purchases and the first claim I have this is the service I received not happy..ps in 2 months my plan is finish.

    The claim experience is quick and easy. My daughter found her phone before the replacement arrived so we were told to refuse the shipment and we would be refunded the deductible. We refused the shipment and I confirmed by the tracking number that it had arrived back at the warehouse. I called to inquire about my refund and they told me it can take up to 10 business days. After more than 10 business days had passed I called (because they don't have a chat option online). After explaining the situation and being placed on hold the rep disconnected. I called again and when a rep appeared to answer it was silence or dead air. I sat on the phone for over 5 minutes and no one ever responded so I hung up and called a third time.

    When I finally got through and the rep answered I told him that it was my 3rd time calling and to please not disconnect. I explained the situation and got no response/dead air. I waited a few minutes to hear nothing. I hung up and called a 4th time. When the rep answered after going through all the prompts I begged her to not disconnect and explained the situation. She confirmed my account and told me about their website. I asked to skip all the fluff and just address my issue. Their website is only good for filing and tracking a claim. Not for my situation. She then asked to place me on hold while she reviewed.

    I have now been waiting over 25 minutes for her to come back on the phone. Unfortunately this is the company that my wireless provider uses so I don't have a lot of options. She came back on the line and told me that I should receive a refund within 10 business days. She couldn't give me any confirmation number or send me an email with any information. She said I just need to inquire using my claim number. She also couldn't tell me if I was getting a check in the mail or if my card will be refunded. Overall it was a very time consuming and terrible experience.

At first Apple told me to take it to Best Buy to be fixed, when I made an appointment and showed up the guy told me they don’t have the parts for the 13, so he would have to order them, and keep my phone for a week!

    I’m not able to not have a phone for a week (like most people it’s my whole life on there) so I was frustrated that I had been sent there at all when they don’t even fix the model phone I have! Shouldn’t Apple know these things about their “certified iPhone specialist technicians” at Best Buy? Then Apple said to either go to the nearest Apple store (45 miles away) or give them a card they can put a $1000 hold on to “make sure I return my BROKEN device”! Who the heck has $1000 they can just put on hold?? And who has the time to drive 45 miles to another town to get a phone repaired? Regardless, I made the appointment and went to the Apple store, where they said because my AppleCare was purchased through Xfinity, the price of the repair was tripled, why???? The cost is the same??? AND they needed the phone for 4-5 hours to fix it!!

    I wasn’t expecting that kind of wait time and had to get to work. So I’m back at square one, and call Assurant to see if I am covered by them. Luckily I got an amazing and helpful person who helped me right away and was able to get my new replacement overnight!     I dropped my phone shattering the camera over lens. Then I dropped it again until an earthquake screen. Five minutes online there was an order to track, an hour later a confirmation it shipped, by noon next day I had a flawless replacement and a SIM card. I made one of any 7 day/week appointments and a creative tech called me, coached me and handed me off to TMobile CSR to migrate the SIM on the new phone. Then the tech called me back to check on my health. Very good experience.
