It was reasonably time-consuming, considering we got the runaround from our Mobile carrier Spectrum Mobile. Eventually, we did get the right information to file a claim. The phone was physically run over by a school bus that would not stop when alerted that the phone was dropped off the nearby edge of the road pavement. The Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max was only in use for 3 hours before it was completely crushed and destroyed.

It was so easy to replace my phone with Assurant. This directions were simple and sweet to the point. I was amazed on how fast my new phone came and how easy the directions were. I would totally recommend Assurant insurance. The price was reasonable because replacing a phone isn't cheap.

I made claim on 6-28-23 and pay the deductible of $199. Couple weeks later I got email, "We didn't have the same phone, you can buy the phone. And Assurant will refund you the money." Since then I called around 10 time, on August 12, they said, "Everything is good. It'll take 10 days before you received check." Called again on Aug 25 and was on the phone for over 70 minutes, first (girl) on phone said, "We just need to scan the your old phone that will take 3 days. Will send you the check," then transfer phone to supervisor, she was, "I don't have all the information to send you the check," my down $199, $1949.68 pay for the phone at T-Mobile store in Hanover Park IL and

Everything else about getting my new phone activated was a pain in the neck. Spectrum took over 24 hours to connect. In contrast, Assurant took just a little more than half that time to get my new phone to me. Everyone should have the customer service quality of Assurant. Thank you!

The speed of the replacement and directions were great. The actual phone though not so much. The camera is fuzzy with a halo in all photos. Also the speakers are broken in the phone so playing and video or putting someone on speaker is impossible to do with important data. The phone is not a working replacement.

I’m very pleased with service I received. It was rather quick and painless. The customer care team was very responsive and helpful. New replacement would not charge - staff tried 5 different chargers. It is on its way back to you to be replaced with another new unit. I am using the original phone which has the split sides because of the battery. I have been checking the tracking number and it still hasn't reached you for replacement.

I thought I had filed an insurance claim on a Friday, only to find out I had only filed a partial claim. The agent completed my claim. When I received the new device, I mailed the damaged device back the next day. Now they're telling me they did not receive the device.

I broke my phone, went to the T-Mobile store and they actually called and set it up for me. We put in the claim and I had the phone the next day. It worked just how it was supposed to, no hiccups. Yay!

It was a fairly fast process to get my replacement phone. I was worried when my screen cracked that I would have to drop it off somewhere to get fixed and I would have to be without a phone for days and that absolutely was not the case. It took about a week from the time I filed my claim for me to get approved and then receive my replacement phone. It only took 2 days to get my phone after it was approved and it was so easy to send them the phone you have to replace since they send you a box with a shipping label already attached. All you have to do is put it in the mailbox. You don't even have to leave your house.
The only problem I had was uploading pictures of my driver's license but after I figured it out it was a breeze from there. I would definitely recommend! It's so much cheaper to pay for protection than to pay for a whole new phone or new screen and the amount you have to pay for a replacement or a new screen is a small fraction of what you would have to pay without the protection. It's definitely worth it.

They provided fast, friendly service to replace my broken cell phone. I received the replacement cell phone in three days including a Sunday. And they provided great packaging to return the replaced cell phone. Plus they provided excellent instructions on setting up the new phone. The small monthly payment on my cell phone bill was well worth the service I received.

The service was great. Received my replacement device fast and am very satisfied overall with the service. The assurance company responded quickly, and it was fairly easy to get the new phone. Luckily, my son was able to help me with the technical aspects of refiguring the new phone. The company did also include instructions. I would have had some difficulty doing the transfer myself, since I am not a techno geek. The new phone is working well, and I am happy to have a well-working phone again.

The whole process was so quick and so easy to accomplish. They had my replacement phone to me in about 2 days. Submitting the claim by internet was very easy everything you need to know is on your phone. They almost immediately approved the claim and the very next day they sent out the new phone and I got it the next day. I submitted the claim on a Friday night or Saturday morning and got the replacement phone on Monday. The phone I received was one model newer than what I orginally had.

My phone was badly damaged when it fell off my lap and I thought here we go I’m going to regret this well. I was totally wrong because as soon as I went online I had technical support filling out my form and within three days my new phone was in my hands up and running. I never had an experience like I did with this company. Anyone can do this and have a great experience like I did.

My delivery of my new device was quick, and fast service! My set up was quick and smooth process as well. The only thing I wasn’t happy with was my deductible, I feel like it’s a rip off to pay for the insurance monthly and still have to pay for a new device.

I have paid faithfully for over 10 years with this company. My Son's phone was cracked and they sent him a hour drive away to a place to fix his phone. Arrived there (a hour away from home) after receiving a email from Assurant saying that the claim was ready and appointment was made. When arrived, I was told that they were unable to fix the phone because a previous Apple repair ticket was still open (back in January). Spoke to several representatives and no one offered any resolution besides waiting or tried to compensate me in any type of way besides just paying more money for a refurbished phone. Spoke to a supervisor and during our call, it dropped and never even reached backed out to resolve the issue! There is no way that anyone should have to drive a hour away to get a cracked screen fixed and then turned away!

I filed a claim on the 19th of August. Was told that it would be shipped out that Monday because they did not ship on the weekends. To make a long story short the phone was never shipped out I paid my deductible already just to not receive my product afterwards. I went to the internet to see the reviews on this company and all of them are terrible besides the few reviews you have in between that are not actual people. These are people that work for them that are giving these five star reviews so do not believe them. I called and spoke with customer service and I was giving three different excuses and lies. The fourth time I called a Metro representative was on the other line with me and the guy was stuttering because he wasn't expecting that I have still yet to receive a phone or a tracking number that actually works. Do not use this insurance company. It's a big scam.

Excellent service right on time. Came back as new. Excellent customer service. The locations are too far. The GPS giving me couple times to find the place I went to the two of locations and it takes 15 minutes to find it because GPS give me wrong directions. I stopped at one of the T-Mobile local store and asked for helped find the place.

I received an email from Spectrum stating that my refund will be available "soon". I called Spectrum Mobile Billing, and was informed I should call them after I see the amount listed on the Spectrum website as credit. Then I should be able to get this money sent to my credit card as "credit". TBD, fingers crossed, hoping it goes smoothly.

My phone was damaged and called and started a claim to get a new phone sent to me. The customer service agent said I would have my replacement phone within 24 hours. I went to work the next day and came home (would have been around 34 hours) and still no phone had arrived. So I reach out to customer service online and they said that there was a power outage at the facility and did not know when the replacement device would be sent out. Since they guaranteed that my replacement should have been here within 24hrs and they still have no clue as to when the phone will be sent out, I feel as though since I will have to wait untill the issue is fixed (not knowing how much longer it will take) I should at least get a partial refund since the issue is on their end.

For the second time in 11 months l have somewhat negligently required a replacement phone. Reluctant to assert my claim, I always wasted valuable time deliberating on the possibility that the policy would be honored. The customer support team members all responded with, well...support! After listening attentively, they "claimed" a replacement Samsung Galaxy 5G phone thing would arrive within the week. Ha! 3 days in the mail box and in perfect condition! Oh. And they never giggled at my sheer stupidity but pretended on rainy days almost everyone sets their phone on top of the car and speeds away without it.

Everyone was helpful. Especially the last woman I talked to regarding who to send the phone back to and how. The problem was USPS delivered the phone when they were supposed to have us deny the phone and return it to Assurant. It was a lot of money to replace the phone and we are tight on finances- we just want to ensure the return and then the reimbursement.

Got my phone the next day and it was easy to set up and no problems. They immediately as soon as I told him about my phone having a black screen immediately set up a phone and send it to me the next day. The service was excellent. They didn't hesitate to send me a phone quickly and I paid my deductible and there was no issues at all.

I would like a phone that works properly where I don't have to use the speaker every time I need to make a phone call and it doesn't drop calls and one that will stay charged. I really enjoyed however the time it took for the phone to get here but the phone itself is not in proper working order.

My cell phone battery expanded and broke the SIM card and charger area. I was able to replace the device through Assurant with relative ease and speed for about $100 - not bad, considering the phone itself originally cost far more than that. They could have increased the speed of shipping a bit for my convenience, but otherwise the process went well.

I'm satisfied overall. Just do yourself and your customers a favor and abide by your stated shipping schedule, so we're not without a functioning device longer than necessary. You really should have replacement devices available in TMobile Corporate retail locations. It would save customers time, and save you shipping expenses.

After being approved for a new/refurbished device. I received a device that was different than the one stated on the packaging. The packaging stated the contents were a iPhone XS Max Gray 256GB however, I receive an iPhone 11 Pro instead. Also, the replacement device was not equal size as the previous device filed in the claim.

My phone would no longer charge. The charging port would no longer even hold the charger in it. My only complaint was I did not receive a new charge with the replacement phone.. It was easy to get the process started and the replacement was shipped that day and I received it the next day..

I was assured delivery of my replacement phone next day Friday and needed to be home for signing. After waiting all day no phone was delivered and it was shipped 2 day instead and 4 days later have not received the device. Nick said they are an insurance company and I just have to be patient and accept this. No resolution offered or apology for their lies about next day delivery.

Can not put 0 Stars so had to give them 1 that they don't deserve. Requested from them for a return label so I can return the damaged phone in November 2021. No Response. Then they charged me a fee. I called back Aug. 2023 seeing if I can return the phone. They said yes but I can't get my fee reimbursed. WHY WOULD I SEND THEM A FREE PHONE?? I pay them monthly already in insurance. WHAT A RACKET!

It's been over a week now going on 10 days and still no ETA, the only thing they said they could do is send me a notification when it's on the way, T-mobile was no help either. They said I would have to call Assurant. There is nothing they could do.

Assurant in partnership with T-Mobile on the Protection 360 Plan, advertises a $29 deductible to get your devices screen repaired. But they refused to give me that option, and only gave me option for $99 Device Replacement. Even though I went to one of their physical locations who had the parts in inventory, is an authorized service provider of theirs, I conference called in the manager of the store who was at a loss of words of why they can't help me. They said that the part wasn't in the store's inventory, even though the employee literally had the part in his hand. He asked them what system did he need to update part in, he asked them what SKU they were checking part against, and Assurant phone support refused to help.
I've had to file 4 claims with them, speak over 3 hours on the phone. First claim online had errors when verifying address. Second claim over phone, they closed out without telling me. Third claim, they denied because they said I wasn't using that device I claimed. I'd been using that device for almost 2.5 years on that line, it has an e-sim, and I conference called in T-Mobile Support, who confirmed that device was active at the time. I got one supervisor named Devon, who said he was doing a special escalation to get me approved for repair, they just had to verify I had the device with T-Mobile, no follow up with them.

Had to settle for replacement device being sent to me for about $105 after taxes, when I should've only been charged $29+taxes for a screen repair. They need to make this right, by refunding me the difference at the very least. Not to mention the stress and time wasted for all the travel and the calls. I've been a T-Mobile Customer for about 10 years, and had their insurance for about same time. Last Call Ended on 1630 Hours on 07/27/2023. Last Associate - Mandy. Last Supervisor - Jade.

Update to my original 1-star: Thank you so much Assurant- Ms. Kiara ** called me within hours of my providing my claim number and contact information. She was able to make sense of the garbled desperate explanation that I had been trying to convey originally. She was very patient and quickly understood my situation and was able to help me get the claim resolved. She pinpointed the errors I made in claim process, confirmed my coverage, and by the next day I had my replacement. Employees like this are priceless in providing excellent customer service and I hope you appreciate her!

We have had Assurant phone protection through TMobile on an iPhone 13 max since it was purchased in May 2022. In June 2023 sometime my son dropped it and broke the back. Since he had to cover a deductible we didn’t file a claim until July 4 when he had funds. In the interim, we activated his regular phone line using an old iPhone 12 so he wouldn’t go without.
I filed claim on July 4 2023 and the claim was immediately denied because they stated the broken iPhone 13 wasn’t under protection. I chatted with an Assurant rep who told me that the Date of Incident had to be precise and to go to TMobile and have them provide the date that use of the iPhone 13 was discontinued. We spent time at T-Mobile yesterday 7/22/23 and they helped pinpoint date and assisted us in refiling claim. A few hours on same day we received the same email stating the phone in question was not under protection at time of damage.
The only thing I can think of is that because the phone line normally used with the broken iPhone 13 was transferred to an old extra, that that may be what is causing glitch. The TMobile rep verified that the broken iPhone 13 has always been under protection and that the protection is specifically for the iPhone - not the phone line.
This is really disappointing and it’s very disheartening because the chances of this getting resolved via phone is pretty slim since as these reviews show, you just get caught up in having to explain this over and over only to get your call transferred or dropped. At this point our options will be to just cancel protection and get it repaired ourselves. This shouldn’t be this hard - boo Assurant - thanks for nothing. We have always purchased the protection on the pricier new iPhones - what a waste.

T-Mobile/Assurant Insurance. Our son needed a new phone and used Assurant Insurance through T-Mobile to receive a new one. This took place at the end of March and mailed a few days later In April. We used the provided envelope with shipping label and mailed it to Assurant in York, PA. In June our T-Mobile bill tripled. My husband called and spoke with a rep to see what was wrong. We were told this happens all the time that phones go missing and it would be rectified and not to worry about it. Unfortunately we trusted them.
Fast forward a month later and the cell phones were disconnected. We spent over an hour trying to get it fixed. We were told we needed to make a payment on the regular cell bill and we stated we didn’t have to pay until the 26th. Once again, foolish us for trusting T-Mobile, we asked for the bill amount and went ahead confirming this payment was not for the extra charges. We were LIED to, they applied that money towards the extra charge of $377. They then proceeded to tell us we had to speak with insurance and was put on hold for another 30 min waiting for this three way call. We had somewhere to be and said we would call insurance ourselves.
We called Assurant insurance two days later and spent over three hours trying to figure out what was going on with the phone. They said the phone was received in the warehouse on April 7 but they hadn’t opened the package or scanned it in. We asked when this would be able to be done. Sometime later in the same phone call they magically found the package and claimed it was empty. They then proceeded to tell us we need to open an investigation with the post office because they couldn’t do anything about it. We are now at the point that we have verified proof that the package was in fact delivered to an individual at Assurant on April 7th and we have proof that the phone was in the package when scanned in at the post office. This issue is between Assurant and T-Mobile. Do not trust any of them, save your money and go with someone else.

Overall, my experience was satisfactory. I am pleased with my new Moto Stylus 5G, basically because I understand how to use it. Most phones are impossible to set up or understand how they function. Getting back and forth to the Spectrum store and USPS was a logistical nightmare. There has to be a way you can accommodate us handicap people who are unable to drive and live in a rural area, without reliable public transportation.

I have been having the worse experience with this company this past week. I have been hung up on twice by two different representative & not called back. If you go over my past phone calls you can hear for yourself. I just got done using the online chat, the representative got extremely rude with me then left the chat without notifying me. Be careful! Even if you send the damaged device back within the time frame, they may still charge you for it. They did not record device received when they got it. And if they charge you, it takes them up to 5!! FIVE months to return your money!!! Took T-Mobile seconds to take my money, but now to return it, it takes MONTHS!! SMH!! 21 YEARS OF LOYALTY TO THIS COMPANY FOR WHAT?!?! GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN!! VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER OF T-MOBILE.

OMG, don't know where to start. After almost 2 weeks to get the replacement phone, I carefully placed destroyed phone in the self addressed envelope Assurant provided. Luckily I videotaped the process. This was in April of 2023, it is now June 20, 2023 and I'm still fighting with them over the $700 they are charging my account for the phone they originally said they didn't receive. I have called 4 times over the last 2+ months, each call has been >30 minutes (at least 2 were closer to an hour) and I struggled desperately to understand heavy Filipino accents. I had to explain to them multiple times, USPS received their phone and there is a tracking number. One would think once they had the USPS tracking # they would be dealing with USPS and I, the consumer, would no longer be involved-- far from the case.
I'm still trying to get the $700 bill off the account, and after a 39 minute call today, and being placed on hold multiple times for 5+ minutes, I was placed on hold, someone picked up my call and I was starting all over from scratch!! I hung up, I'm done, they can have the $700... what a racket. I don't believe any of these 5 star reviews, I think they are all paid staff leaving them.

Assurant was supposed to send me a replacement device using expedited shipping but my device arrived a day late. The device that was sent to me was refurbished and did not work. After calling I received an email with a link to print a return shipping label but their system was broke and I ended up having to pay for shipping myself ($23)! It's been 1 week and still don't have a replacement device after paying insurance costs to Assurant/Tmobile for 6 years! Do not use Tmobile or pay for the lousy insurance. Will be changing carriers at my next renewal.

This is the worst insurance service ever and I regret paying monthly. Do yourself a favor. Save your money. I lost my phone and filed a claim. The deductible on an iPhone went from $100 to $249. Three days in and going on my 4th day and my claim is "in review" which means I still don't have a phone and have no idea when I will get one. On top of that, no one on the phone including managers are of any help. Most of them say they will transfer and then hang up or say they will escalate the case and nothing happens. I am very frustrated as a customer that I paid into something that is proving to be worthless. Because no one can help me and they are dragging their heels on replacing my phone, I will probably have to go with a phone for longer than a week. NOT what you expect when you pay for insurance. I would not recommend them at all.

If you have phone insurance with Tmobile Assurant CANCEL NOW!! They don't listen to what the customer says and they transfer to each other so you're constantly repeating yourself. They say they're leaving notes and refer to go to mytmobile to check the status of the "updated claim" that hasn't been updated. I've called just about 2 times a week and each time they put me on hold and hang up the phone. I've requested to speak to supervisors and they put you on hold and hang up. If you have insurance with tmobile just cancel it. You're better off just buying a very good phone case and not ripped off by these people. TMOBILE employees couldn't even believe how rude they are. That's why they can't even speak to the employees of Assurant. That should be a red flag right there. A tmobile employee tried to help me and call them several times and couldn't get through. Don't bother, they'll rip you off and have nothing at the end.

I was told by one Assurant rep. that we could have my wife's stolen replacement phone shipped to a post office, if we got either a P.O. Box or General Delivery set up, so we traveled over 25 miles (at great expense) to set up a P.O. Box address (also at great expense, we could not afford), only to be told "no shipment to a Post Office address!!! We are homeless and have no other address, and no T-Mobile store where we could pick up a phone will accept delivery either! My wife has a friend who lives nearby, but she cannot reach her because her contact info is on the stolen phone! I would not only ever recommend Assurant to anyone else, ever, but am intended to sue over this (and have already filed an FTC report about it)!

I have been paying for device protection for years now and have 3 phone lines with t mobile. And just started using this service. My device started acting up. I put in for a phone replacement and the device they choose to send me was a refurbished $50 dollar phone opposite of what the Assurant agent told me I would receive. My deductible costed more than the phone. Tried to call to speak with a manager and they keep hanging up the phone instead of letting me speak to someone. Keep your money instead of phone company uses them. Deceptive practices.

I had filed a claim due to having broken my phone. I did receive the replacement device on time. That's a plus. I mailed back the replacement device immediately in the return envelope provided by Assurant. I added tape to ensure that the device would not come out during transit and then took a picture of the tracking number to make sure it was delivered. A month later I get an email from Assurant reminding me to return my replacement device. I checked the tracking number and it showed it was delivered. I called customer service and they told me that they had received the device, but that it wasn't processed yet in the warehouse. Thinking it was all settled, I left it at that. Big mistake.
A couple of months later I received a charge for the replacement device on my T-Mobile bill. Called Assurant and they told me that they would investigate. Called back in a week and they told me that the package was delivered, but the phone was not inside and that there was nothing they could do. I have been with Assurant for about 7 years and had filed a claim 3 times throughout my time with Assurant. The first time it took forever for Assurant to contact the warehouse to process the device so I would not be charged. The second time, everything went smoothly. This third time I had to pay my replacement device even though I sent it as it was instructed. What is the point of having this coverage if every time I run the risk of being charged for the replacement device? I decided to cancel coverage on four devices. I recommend everyone who has Assurant to do the same.

This is BY FAR the worst insurance company I've EVER dealt with. I'd strongly advise anyone who's thinking of insuring their phone with this company to search for an alternative. The service is absolutely deplorable! (1) The customer care agents are NOT helpful at all! I was transferred back and forth from Assurant to T-mobile a total of 5 times due to some unknown issue with my T-mobile PIN, which in fact was not even an issue at all. T-mobile confirmed that my PIN was just fine. It was clearly a system issue on the insurance companies end. I spent a ridiculous amount of time being told, "I changed my PIN, my PIN is incorrect, etc."
I finally spoke with a young lady named Cindy (ID:**) who was the best care agent I dealt with through the ordeal that was purchasing a replacement phone. This young lady advised me that there is a secondary system that ALL agents have access to and are able to utilize to run a PIN and verify an account, yet the other agents all advised that they don't have access to this system. It seems they simply wanted to make the situation more difficult for me. (2) I spent a total of 3 hours simply trying to order a phone. I even commissioned help from a Supervisor who was of worse assistance than the agents I spoke with, AND she disconnected the call on me when I mentioned compensation.
(3) No one listens! They constantly tell you that they're notating your account but if you were to call back, I guarantee that you'll be explaining your issue over and over again. Even when I did provide detailed information they'd place me on hold and return to the call just to tell me that I need to do something that I explained I had already done. (4) They place you on hold for 15 minutes at a time or longer!
(5) They do nothing to compensate your loss of time and their lack of competence. They did nothing to make me whole after wasting hours being hung up on and transferred countless times. I'm literally cancelling my insurance with them once I receive my replacement phone. I'd rather pay for a brand new phone than have another experience like the one I had today. And believe me, this story is only a fraction of what I truly experienced. Save yourselves the trouble. These people are not here to assist. They're hear to cause you more stress, anger and frustration.

I purchased mobile insurance when I purchased my Motorola Stylus 3 yrs ago. I made my first claim ever a few days ago. I received the new phone today it is far from equivalent. No stylus (which helps me in my profession as a nurse) and No charger! I don't have a charger at home that fits this phone. I called Assurant to discuss and the agent said "Sorry, we don't replace the stylus or give a charger because it's considered an accessory!" So over 36 months of paying for coverage to receive this! Sprint customers beware. This insurance is now swapping T-Mobile devices for Sprint devices. Once you get a T-Mobile device, it may even be European which mine was. Not only does it take an act of God to get it unlocked if it's paid for but it's only compatible with 80% of the companies out there which Sprint is 100% compatible on their devices. I would highly recommend Samsung insurance at this point first Sprint customers and stay clear of Assurant. I tried to resolve this issue and it fell on deaf ears.

My claim was denied due to my phone not being active during date of loss? How do they know of this? Seems like a violation of privacy but nevertheless, since this company can see my account, maybe look at my history and notice that I've gone to T-mobile several times due to sim card malfunctions thus meaning that there were numerous times where I had no data signal. So how can you say that my phone wasn't active at the time of loss? Does turning off my phone also mean that I have no coverage once my phone is off?
Ridiculous! Maybe tell T-mobile to keep their networks continuously up and running so I also don't lose signal. I can guarantee you that my phone was active but what you all are seeing at the time of loss is maybe due to the fact that I didn't have data signal/network at the time the screen cracked! I have no control over sim card malfunctions/T-mobile network being down/glitches, etc.
Prior to filing this claim, I went personally to T-mobile and showed them the cracked phone and they verified for me that I was able to claim this phone because I have been using my Motorola Edge 30 Pro Plus 2022 and that I had Assurant insurance; which I have been paying for monthly and on time. I then chatted with Mario from Assurant online and was told word for word what I just read in my email then proceeded to tell me to call the phone number for further investigation. I called the phone number and talked to someone who I couldn't understand but I think told me the exact same thing and then transferred me to T-mobile? This company so easily accepts monthly payments, no questions asked but when it comes to their customers needing help, we get the run around with no help at the end.

My 6 month old Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 screen began breaking at the hinge (not resulting from a fall). I called 611 to go through the insurance I have been paying for. The people on the other end of the phone were very polite and friendly associates, sure. I placed an order for a replacement phone and receive a Galaxy S22 Ultra, which is an older and cheaper phone. I call up again, on the phone for hours, for them to tell me they "don't have Z Flip phone stocked". Why would I bother paying for insurance then? It'd be cheaper if I put the money away monthly and paid to replace the screen myself. We spoke to two supervisors resulting in still no solution or guarantee that I will receive what I pay for. Feels like an absolute scam. We are extremely dissatisfied with our experience and will not be using Assurant for anything moving forward.

I've been paying $18/ mo for 18 mos. Bought it when I got my Samsung Galaxy Flip3 5g about 18 mos ago. I broke the screen. Didn't have the deductible, so I used my old Note9 for a few mos not knowing apparently the policy is transferable to your current device. When is that ever the case? You can't drive another car when your regular driver breaks down and be covered. I didn't sign anything over to them to allow to transfer coverage to my note 9. Why would I insure a 5 yr old device? So they're saying I was not covered on the date of the incident because I was already using my note 9. They couldn't even cover cost and make me pay $99 for a new screen. They are a rip off and I would highly recommend not paying for this. Look at me. Paid $18 /mo for 18mo, paying over $300, and the first time I need them, they declined my claim. Like I said waste of money. If you have any other offer for this service, I'd go that route. These people are a scam...

Well I have proof it was covered and T-Mobile also told the Assurant people over the phone we have written documentation that in fact this phone has had coverage the whole time! I called customer service to inform them and they stated I had to pay another deductible to get a new phone even though they sent me a defective phone. Waste of money.

I filed a claim on February 26. The agents took down my email wrong. I submitted my driver's license 4 times. 5/6 agents I spoke to said I will receive an email and I have to submit my license through the link. MYTMOCLAIM.COM is not pulling up my claim and continues to inform me to reach out to them. Today is March 3rd and I spoke to someone who actually walks me through the steps and does it with me. All I get is a, "Oh ma'am it is not working. I am sending you a personal link and then wait 24 hours for us to review." I have been waiting for 5 days. My phone is needed for work. Without a phone, I cannot work but this company only seems to care about being paid on time. 6 calls later and I still have no answer. I have been with T-Mobile for 13 years and I have never had a problem with any claims. If this isn't resolved ASAP, my lawyer will be contacting you.

I had my phone and wallet stolen at gunpoint on the 18th of February of 2023. I filed a claim same day and today it's February 23, 2023 and I have yet to get my claim approved. I find it so absurd that customers have to pay for this service, and then get a runaround from them when it actually comes down to fulfilling promised services. They asked me for my ID for verification and they said it takes anywhere from 24-48 hours and no way to expedite it. Like seriously you have to change policies for certain customers, especially the ones that rely on their phones to make a livelihood. I have provided everything that you asked for, you guys get your money on time, yet I have to beg for a replacement phone every time I call in. I need an answer, or you'll hear it from my attorney. Please be smart and just send me my phone so none of us have to come out of pocket for the legal battles.

Where do I start? Feb 5 several of my phones on my new business account (1 month old) were stolen in a car jacking. After getting a police report and reporting car stolen/insurance etc, called T-Mobile to report the phones stolen on February 6, 2023. Was told they could suspend the lines and to contact Assurant to file a claim. Contacted them 2/6/2023 was told they DID NOT have my devices (14 Pro Max's) was transferred back to t mobile. T-mobile "supervisor" says, "Ok wait until Fri 2/10/23, I will put everything in the system and you will be ok, everything is covered protection 360." Called back Monday 2/13/23, T-mobile says, "Everything is ok. Get assurant on the line," 4 hrs we get all the claims in the system FINALLY! They BOTH tell me all I have to do is wait for the text, click the link, put in personal info and pay. NOPE!!!!
Call back 8am next morning, speaking to top managers on both sides. After going back an fourth, assurant 1st said the wrong phones, then I wasn't covered at all, next the lines were suspended so I'm not covered (t-mobile suspends lines when reported stolen). Assurant now says I wasn't covered the date the phones were stolen, T-mobile says I was. They going back an fourth, now assurant says, "OH YOU DO have insurance," but because it's no usage on the devices I'm not covered. T-mobile on the line says that's not correct. For 45mins both supervisors are going back and fourth. They then basically say Mr Joseph we have no options for you, claims denied, we can't help me.... BUT I'M STILL HAVE TO PAY THE BILL WITH THE INSURANCE FOR ALL DEVICES. But I'm not covered.... What type of 360 protection is that.

Have had insurance thru T-Mobile since July 2019. Never lapsed or missed a payment. Was denied for reason of the device was not insured at the time. Called T-Mobile and got agent on the other end. The agent said the coverage was activated and had never had a lapse. They said, "Ok we will process again." Came back denied. This time they said the device was not activated on day of loss. We got T-Mobile on the phone again and the supervisor said, "Yes it was. I am looking at Atlas right now." It was activated and being used. Liam **, the agent, said, "Nope we are not honoring the claim." Do not fall for this scam company.

On 12-30-22 I submitted a claim for cellular telephone protection reimbursement. I have submitted all the documents that I am able to obtain which includes document showing the phone was physically damaged. I have a 1st insurance policy with Tmobile Assurant, who replaced the phone which meant I had to send them my damaged phone. I have a second Assurant cellphone protection with WF card services and this is where I am having a problem getting reimbursed my covered deductible I paid of $266.
The adjuster is stating that I need to send a itemized phone repair bill which I am not able to obtain because I had to send the phone to Assurant Tmobile which their receipt shows that the phone was replaced for Physical Damage. My adjuster is not accepting this receipt and I have called both Assurant entities unsuccessfully with getting this approved. I would expect Assurant to be more helpful since they have the damaged phone in their possession and I am not able to get it back from them to get a itemization done without it.

I recently had to switch my service provider. I had been a T-Mobile customer for almost 8 years & never missed a payment. I recently used the Assurant insurance to exchange a broken iPhone. Assurant provided the return packaging and label. I placed the phone in the provided padded envelope, placed the label on it and mailed it. The tracker shows the package was received and shows a name of who received the phone. But Assurant says they received an empty package. If that is true, obviously the phone was stolen or lost in transit. But because Assurant can’t find the phone (even though the tracker shows it was received in their warehouse) Assurant/T-Mobile charged me $499 for a broken phone because they can’t find it in their warehouse. I was even told to go to the post office to ask them what happened. Absolutely ridiculous! This is my first experience with such HORRIBLE SERVICE!

I submitted a claim on 1/23/2023 and it was denied stating not covered at time of incident although I've been paying monthly insurance premiums with Assurant on my devices for past 2 1/2 years. Called T-Mobile, spent hours on the phone with them and Assurant, spoke with supervisors on both sides and was told it was because they did not have inventory for my make/model and I had to submit a new claim so the supervisor could submit a request to send me better/equivalent model and I could expect this to take 2-3 days. That was 14 days ago.
I've called back several times and they just say the status is pending and there is nothing they can do. They've requested proof of purchase, which I've provided now multiple times and they just keep asking for it again over and over. I've retained an attorney for assistance as I've been without a working device for several weeks now and I am a field engineer and work off of my phone. I have no choice at this point it to purchase a new one out of pocket as I cannot continue to at these games so I will be seeking damages and refund of all of my insurance premiums.

I have phone insurance from my Wells Fargo credit card. Pixel 7. Phone was damaged due to water, which caused the screen to fail. Got an estimate for $350 to repair. Filed claim with Assurant using their online portal. Not too complicated of a process. Within 1 week they had approved the claim, offering either another phone (used) or to pay for repair to existing one. I chose repair since I needed the information off the phone. They OK'd it and transferred money ($350 minus $25 deductible) into the bank associated with my credit card (Wells Fargo). Entire process was just at 1 week. Probably would have been faster, but it took me a while to find someone who would work on water damaged phones and who would provide a written quote. I ended up using CPR which turns out to be associated with Assurant, which maybe helped.

I had insurance on my phone for the 4 years I been with Sprint/T-Mobile. I have been paying $15/month and in Jan 2023 I needed to use it for a cracked screen. The repair cost is $29 but when I tried to file the claim on the phone the only option I got was to do a replacement with a used phone for $99. I said why do I have to get a new phone when the phone works and I just need to replace the screen. They said the option wasn't available to me and I had to pay the $99 for a replacement phone. So I tried to file a claim online and it gave me the option for a screen replacement for $29. I got a claim number and inputted my CC # for the $29 and got the address to the repair store in Queens.
When I when to check on my claim with the store, I was told they didn't see my claim number so I called back and got the biggest run around you couldn't even imagine. I spoke to 4 Assurant agents and 5 T-Mobile agents. All together I spend 2 days and 5 hours on the phone to get no help. I paid $720 or more to get no help. I finally got the last Assurant agent who told me that the repair store doesn't have the parts need to repair. So I called the store and they was willing to order and replace the phone. But I found out the real reason after calling the store, it would cost over 200 to replace the screen and the insurance company just didn't want to pay that when they can just have me pay $99 to get a used phone.

My cell phone broke and I returned it to T Mobile. I continuously get calls from T Mobile canceling my service. I spoke to a rep and found out that Assurant did not enter a credit for $500. for the returned phone which was the hold up on the bill. Contacted Assurant and was told that they have up to 2 billing cycles to fix the issue. I was then told that I had to call T Mobile and continue to have my account placed on hold until the credit posts. I feel that this is unacceptable as the consumer and they are just doing this so we forget about it and pay the extra money!! Over an hour several times to fix this and still receiving phone calls from T Mobile because the outstanding balance is still pending for the returned phone.

After getting the run around and hung up on 3 times. I was also transferred to Metro 3 times while sitting in a Metro store. Claim was denied online. Phone will not charge. Called customer service and was told I had to go to store to file claim. Went to store and store cannot file claim. Called back and was told that is correct and they would handle on the phone. Was than transferred to Metro again. I was hung up on three times and put on hold for over 12 minutes before line went dead twice. Asked to speak to supervisor and none were available. Worst customer service ever!! Do not use for phone insurance!!

So, my phone was stolen after months of paying for insurance EVERY MONTH. I called to make a claim and my claim was somehow denied. Assurant CLAIMED I was not cover by insurance however my phone company, T-Mobile, has corroborated me and stated I did pay for and should be cover by insurance. They completely lied and said my phone has not been active since September. It is now November. I have proof that my phone was used up until it was stolen. T-Mobile records reflect that my phone was very much active. They are lying about the records they have to get out of honoring Insurance. I would suggest insuring with Apple Care as this company is illegitimate.

When I filed the claim for my daughter's phone the 1st time they said we didn't have insurance on her phone. 2nd time I filed they said it was stolen. 3rd time I filed they everything we through because we have to upload a copy of ID which I did was not told it had to be the account holder's. 4th time I filed with the account holder's ID and it went through. I filed the claim on 11/8/22 and have called them again on 11/15/22 and still getting the same run around saying that it is still in review and it will be another 24 hours before we know anything.
I'm tired of all the ** with this. I have never had such lack of customer service in my life. These people have been rude and not listening. Don't get me wrong. There have been 2 ladyies that work for them that was amazing and kind and I will always be thankful for that because as it stands right now we are thinking of moving all 5 lines we have with our company due to the Assurant's lack of communication and respect for their customers.

My son lost his iPhone, and initially, the claim went well with a replacement device shipped being a much older model than we had purchased. After several hours of contesting the device, they are now refusing to provide any sort of replacement- ultimately hanging up on the T-Mobile manager that was trying to assist us. Do yourself a favor, look up the lawsuits against them, and skip this overpriced coverage!

Thanks to Assurant, I file my claim for my cell phone and received it in the mail 2 days later which was fast! The only part that I had a little problem with was the SIM card was not included with my replacement phone therefore I couldn't use it. I still had to contact my carrier to ask that a new sim card be mailed to me.

The new device was shipped immediately. It felt like I was still finalizing the claim when the notice that the new was shipping popped up. It was very easy to file the claim. This is the first time we've had to use Assurant, but it's well worth the cost.

My phone was stolen on a Monday evening. I contacted Assurant on Tuesday and filed a claim on Thursday. I had a replacement in my hand with my original phone # programmed. I could not be happier with the service I received. I will never be without insurance on any of my phones.

It would be wonderful if they would automatically provide a screen protector with the device, Because their stores don't have them, and I was told I would need to take the new phone into the store for them to order one which makes the risk of damage to the brand new device very high.

Broke a phone. Filed a claim and everything seemed to be seamless. New phone arrived with a return package, and label. I had concerns with shipping it back USPS when they don't trust it themselves and ship phones UPS when they are responsible for it. I sent back the phone August 11th, dropped it off at the post office myself. Got several emails asking me to review them and implying that the claim was closed and all was fine. Mid October I get a massive T-mobile bill, Assurant claims the damaged phone was never received. I spent two hours on the phone with them today and they say the only thing I can do is go down to the post office and file a claim with them. Which I can't do because they created the label and I have no records whatsoever about that return label.
I asked them to contact the post office since they chose the shipper and they created the label but they refuse. There is absolutely nothing I could have done to prevent this, and there is absolutely nothing I can do to fix it. The only people that can do something is Assurant and they will not help in any way whatsoever. They 100% created this issue and I will never trust them again.

Very angry that I had to pay $99 + Tax for a replacement, when I ONLY needed a screen replacement which SHOULD be just $29 fixed charge at a repair shop. Not MY fault that your repair shops are not currently available, but you should still honor the terms of the insurance. I have had insurance on my phone for years and never claimed before. The service was good, but the charge is unfair, unjustified, and against your OWN TERMS. I would like a refund of the difference please.

YES! 16 DAYs!!! without a chargeable, working device. 16 DAYS total to receive box at an address and re-ship to PO box, per your policy. Colossally stupid. I sent back the paperwork that was with my replacement device simply because the claim number with the additional numbers or letters on the return envelope didn't match anything on the paperwork. There were at least 2 areas that had the word claim on it but didn't match the additional numbers or letters so I simply guessed which one to put on the return envelope and I sent back the paperwork just in case I had put the wrong number or letters on the return label/envelope. Only the word claim matched on both items. The additional letters or numbers couldn't be found since I didn't know what the letters stood for. Example- claim/**.

Came to find out today that they can now send you whatever color they want. All my phones have been white my entire life. They send me a RED replacement. Btw RED is a color that I hate on everything. Anyways ended up putting a fight with my carrier and they will send me a white version and will take the RED phone. I cancelled the insurance immediately. Paying 20 a month plus 250 for the replacement to receive some ugly phone makes no sense whatsoever.

For years I have had cell phone insurance coverage with Assurant in case of lost or damaged phones. I have 7 cells on my plan. Several months ago I dropped one of my damaged phone off at the post office with the prepaid label as directed and assumed all was good. I always use mailing tape to seal the package AND take a picture of the package for safety measures. After several weeks, no communication from Assurant, my T-Mobile bill included $1000 charge. Assurant reported they did not receive my returned device. They claim to have received an empty package.
I refuse to pay for a device I returned. I am researching and seeing all the reviews from people who had this exact same thing happen and are stuck paying hundreds of dollars for phones they returned and Assurant says they never received. T-mobile was gracious enough to remove the charges from my bill, but Assurant refuses to. There are only 2 possible scenarios: 1) it was taken enroute by USPS; or 2) it was taken at Assurants warehouse. It did not fall out of a, well sealed, package and should not be my responsibility. Assurant has more than made me feel, in my 10+ calls to them, that I purposefully sent an empty package. They even asked why I didn't purchase insurance at the post office!!! Didn't know I needed to. With technology these days they should at least check to see if this device is being used somewhere before they lay blame on their long-time customer!!!

My iPhone 12 Pro Max had a cracked back glass. APPLE wanted to charge $600 to replace the back and it was a $1200 phone. DHL does not provide delivery service for MetroPCS. Fake DHL template came up after fees have been paid and delivery has been arranged wanting a dollar 95. My bank account said it was charged 9.98 and was denied. I got my card cleared and they said I could do it again and they must have a glitch. It wasn't accepted after three times. I tried too many times and it shut me out. I could not apply anymore. I went to Metro they said they don't do DHL. They use the postal service. Go home the phone will show up. The phone showed up.

I have paid for a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Black. They have sent me a purple. This is a HUGE deal. I have paid for a very specific phone and I have warrantied this particular phone and I want it back. I don't want another phone! This is like you get into a car accident and the insurance company tells you the black paint is too expensive, we are going to paint your car PURPLE. It was not clear that I had to put my Apt. Number on the same line as the Street Name. (Not industry standard programming). When the Shipping Address was displayed, there was no way to edit that address. (Not industry standard). My Z Fold had a screen bubbling problem and a mechanical problem with the inner screen not responding to my finger touch. I could only use my S-Pen to get the screen to respond to my touch. After notifying my carrier, T-Mobile, they put mi touch with their insurance representatives, Assurant who took care of it for me without any problems.

I had to replace a phone on my account that was chewed on by a dog. Assurant filed the claim with no hesitation or issues. The deductible was reasonable and easy to pay from the link that was sent by the Assurant. Process took less than an hour to complete. I was very happy and relieved to have everything resolved and the phone on its way.

My wife and I, we feel that our ASSURANT coverage serves its purpose & our family's needs very well. We are a very active family and with all of our moving about, accidents have happened with our devices. However; we have been able to depend on ASSURANT to replace &/or repair our devices fairly quickly and with ease. There may be areas that could use some improvement but those areas can’t compare to the overall quality of service that we’ve always received. Thanks a bunch for everything, please don’t change anything.

CPR Cell repairman asked me for my Apple ID password and insisted, opposed to assisting me with turning off the find my iPhone option after I had already logged into the iCloud. He then went on to say that if you don’t have it repaired by Monday, you’ll one of the two repairs you are entitled to.

Metro has done nothing to make my cellphone experience with them nothing but HORRIBLE!!! I can't make changes to my account. I can't upgrade or get the phone of my choice unless I pay for it outright!!! However, I was able to finance the crappy phone I have now!!!! The customer service is the most unsatisfying ordeal EVER!!! I was lied to numerous times, when I say NUMEROUS I mean like 10 times! I'm just completely not satisfied with METRO AT ALL!!!

My phone came quickly and it was very easy to get my contacts and other info downloaded. I was a little taken back with the co-pay it was steep. I am not sure if I was aware of how much the cost would be. Last time I used my insurance I paid a co-pay of 90.00.

I lost my tablet Aug 29. I fell on the bathroom floor, I called 911, and I got surgery for the broken bone. I had been hospitalized from June 14 to August 29. When I came back home couldn't find my tablet. I claimed Assurant thru online. I got the substitute Aug 31. The Assurant service was very good for me.

The Customer service was outstanding. My screen on the phone was cracked. It was repaired with an hour. I was surprised. Everyone was very professional and surprised. Thank you, Assurant. I lost the phone on the bus public transportation and was pretty upset that that ended up happening. Call the phone company to let them know what happened and they put in a claim for me. And a couple of days they replaced my phone. I am very happy with the process.

At the T-Mobile store there were always a staff member asking if I have been assisted or looking into my issue. The staff is kind and courteous with knowledgeable experience. My device was ready within 45 minutes of visit. Not to mention, I neglected to schedule an appointment with my busy schedule and totally forgot to make one. From the time it took to initially call in and get an approval to the actual repair was a very fast and easy process to follow. The repair time itself was very good and the device looks like new again. I would not hesitate to recommend Assurant or the actual repair person who fixed my device. Besides the confusion on whether my phone needed to be fixed or replaced (maybe miscommunication with the 3 techs I saw on 3 different days), everything went surprisingly smoothly. The last tech I saw was able to clarify everything up and actually fix the phone right before they closed. Definitely would recommend.

The repair was inexpensive (at only $29) and it was done fairly quick. The staff was also super friendly! They took any extra time to chat and make sure I was taken care of! I would definitely recommend to take the time to make a claim and an appointment.

I had a double whammy on my phone in one night! I was able to contact the insurance provider at late hours of the night to talk about what happened to my phone. Thanks to the insurance, I got my new phone in a day and a half! I will continue to use the insurance provider as well as pay the premium for my coverage. It pays to keep high end phones like mine insured.

Riverhead T-Mobile fixed my phone within an hour. Period. Price was right too. Friendly, informative staff seemed to care about my experience there. Cool, comfortable, brightly lit store had an extensive product line for future shopping. I'd go back for sure.

My phone was damaged, I had insurance coverage on it. I reported it to the carrier and received instructions to have the phone replaced. I received my replacement phone in a timely manner, I returned the old phone, I am satisfied with the results.

I usually do not purchase protection plans, but am so glad I did with Assurant. Within 24 hours of my claim I had a new phone in my hand. I would highly recommend Assurance to everyone who is considering whether or not to go with a protection plan.

It took a month and 5 phones before I received a replacement phone that was not defective. I spent about 15 hours on the phone during this time trying to get a viable device. The worst part was after the initial device they sent me they didn't want to send another one out without me sending the device back first. And even though I was having difficulty calling out and making calls I work off a platform on my phone in a medical position. With no phone I would not be able to work and also would not be able to transfer information from the old device to the next device. So every time it was a fight that had to escalate to upper management.
Everybody was polite to me except for two people out of probably about 25 that I talked to throughout the process. I eventually did receive a working device but a month and five devices is unacceptable especially when you have to fight for each one to receive it before. I had paid an insurance for an entire year of my original device and a copay as well to receive the new device. Now that I have a working device I have canceled my insurance and will never use this company again.

I called Spectrum back on the 24th of August to inquire why our internet bill went up yet again and ended up switching from Verizon to Spectrum for our cell phone service as well as receiving a discount on our internet. The rep I spoke with confirmed our phones were compatible with the current network and all we had to do was to put the new sim cards in when we received them. Needless to say we tried and ended up at a Spectrum store for over two hours where we found out our phones weren't compatible so we had to buy new phones because we had already disconnected with Verizon.

Contacted Assurant to verify coverage protection, once verified, I was approved and asked to schedule an appointment via Date and time. Great experience replacing my Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G. The device was quickly delivered to my address and it was easy to set up. I did need to reach out to the customer service helpdesk who was friendly in helping me connect to the network. Ensure you back up the damage device which will show up on your new device once you connect to the network. It helps restore the apps to your new or replacement device. Return the damage by the enclosed envelope.

Two associates were extremely nice (** gentlemen with tattoos on his hands). The rest had a strange attitude like they don’t want to be there. I came 10 minutes early to pick up my phone and I was exploring new phone that I wished to purchase or settle a plan, nobody was seem interested to check on me. The gentleman’s I liked (one was gone and the second one was busy with another customer). Second, the store smelled on ** so badly. But that is nobody’s fault- that’s the new normal. Even I don’t think it’s normal. I work in service industry and I always wanted for my guests to feel welcome and respectful. Today I was just there to repair my phone and the atmosphere was a bit odd. I guess I will stick for the new purchases at Santa Monica location because they are rockstars over there! Sorry but they absolutely know how the customer service works!!! Repair technician was fast and overall AMAZING.

I want to give a positive review about the easy of getting a replacement phone. It was so easy to file a claim online, I got the replacement the next day, it was super easy to follow directions to move data from the old phone to the new, and there was an envelope that I only needed to drop my old phone in, seal it up, and drop it in the mail. It was almost too easy to be real, but it happened, and I am very grateful for that.

The claims process was easy and the item shipped quickly. I was given email confirmations about everything. I found my device after the new device with processed for shipment, and I was able to have a return label emailed to me so that I could send back the new device and get a refund on my insurance co-pay.

The people who work there that I had to deal with were not trained to take care of their customers. I had made a mistake on the description of the phone. It took six phone calls back to Tmobile to get all the info they needed because no one told me they needed the make model and color and how many gigs the phone was, every time I called they would ask for for one more piece of info so we went back and forth between Tmobile and Asurrant six times waiting on hold every time so it took 3 hours to get it resolved and talked to many associates that were not very helpful.

The Assurant Team done a good job when it comes to replacing the device, having it delivered through UPS was the downfall. UPS took an extra day to deliver the device and this caused a problem. Not receiving the device as promised, caused a big inconvenience when we tried to contact James.
