My refrigerator model WRS321SDHZ13 was delivered on 10/1/25. I noticed it wasn't cooling and increased the level. Then I realized it had stopped cooling properly on 10/6 and called Home Depot which sent me to Whirlpool which sent a technician who came out on 10/8 and said it was the fan which he had to order. He was to return on Friday, but I receive a message from Flamingo telling me to reschedule. The soonest available was 10/14. I'm afraid running the refrigerator might cause more damage, but the 10/8 technician did not tell me to unplug it. I had to throw away the refrigerator contents and have been filling the freezer with ice to keep the basics cool. I complained to Home Depot thinking they should replace the refrigerator since it was less than a week old but was told it was in Whirlpool's hands.

We bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator 3 months ago. It stopped functioning; it would run but not cool. No problem, we'll call Whirlpool and have them repair under warranty, right? WRONG!!! They wanted to schedule a tech to come out 3-4 days later to come out and look at the unit. ABSURD!! UNACCEPTABLE!! What are we supposed to do, go 4 days without a refrigerator? We called a 3rd party repair company who arrived onsite, diagnosed and repaired our refrigerator within 6 hours!!! Whirlpool has nice products but their warranties aren't worth the piece of paper they are written on!

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator model # WRS555SIHZ from Metro Appliances and more on 9/3/2025. The fan is so loud you can hear it anywhere in the house and visitors have commented about it. After I contacted Metro about it, they replaced a fan motor which didn't help mush if any. The individual that replaced it said that was normal and he couldn't do anything with it. Then the first time I tried to get crushed ice it wouldn't dispense ice. I was told by Metro that Whirlpool would not let them replace it until I have three different issues and they would have to repair it. I've lost more money waiting more repair people than what I paid for the refrigerator in the first place.

We purchased a brand new house with a brand new whirlpool washer, dryer, microwave, refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher. Within a year and a half we have had to replace both the washer and dryer (both just stopped working the washer was terrible to begin with and didn't clean well). Now, we have to replace the microwave because it no longer heats. The refrigerator randomly stopped making ice and we have had to replace the ice maker. The dishwasher doesn't work properly and is starting to rust. I am seriously afraid my stove is next to go, and due to it being gas I am afraid of the damage it could cause by malfunctioning. We are a family of 4 so we are not putting these appliances under a ton of stress or over usage.

In fact, we have barely used the microwave because we use our air fryer instead, and the microwave going out was the last straw for me. I will slowly but surely be replacing all whirlpool appliances with others not owned by the same company. Last years Christmas present to myself and husband was the new washer dryer set because we couldn't make it through Christmas without one. Please read the good and bad reviews before making a decision on an expensive appliance that want last you more than a year and a half.

Purchased a new refrig in Jan 2025. Bought the extended warranty and ice maker. Within a week, the ice maker leaked water on a brand new hardwood floor, ruining it. Asked the dealer to repair the ice maker and fix the floor. Tech said bad part on ice maker. Ordered new one, installed and works fine. Sent in the part the tech said was bad per warranty instructions. Had the floor repaired. After a year, Whirlpool said the part was good and so they would not reimburse for the floor repair, even with the extended warranty. Many emails, phone calls and frustration. Customer service was worthless. Robert Shaw was the extended warranty company. They were worthless. We are out almost a thousand dollars for the hardwood floor repair and never any help from Whirlpool or Robert Shaw. Would never buy another Whirlpool product or any warranty backed by Robert Shaw. Paid approximately $500 to have Whirlpool's contracted rep come to fix it. Could not fix; slow condenser leak. Whirlpool will not warrant it. Junk. Doors are cheap. Shelves and drawers are cheap. Total junk. Will not buy another Whirlpool product, ever. Also, sat on hold 4 or 5 times for over 30 minutes to even get ahold of a person. Ridiculous waste of time, money and energy. We purchased a model WRFF3136SZ from Nebraska Furniture Mart on 7/19/25. That particular fridge broke two weeks later due to leaking water. Received a replacement on 8/12/25. We came home after a 2 week vacation on 9/15 to find the control board went out causing the fridge to stop cooling. So over $500 worth of food was spoiled. Called Whirlpool and they sent a repair company out. They are now telling us that due to this being a new model, it is up to 6 weeks for a replacement part. I asked them to please take this fridge and do the right thing and provide a different model that isn't breaking every 30 days.

Whirlpool did nothing to help. They just say their warranty is a repair warranty and not a replace warranty and we are just out of luck and have to wait until a part can be found. They do not stand behind their product and do not do anything to do what is right. Once you have purchased it you are stuck with it no matter how bad the product is. So stay away from buying any Whirlpool refrigerator.

We bought our first French door refrigerator in 2014 and we loved the features it offered and especially the space, but almost 6 years later it stops cooling gradually and food started to go bad. We tried to troubleshoot it ourselves and nothing worked. We were using a cooler in the meantime as we did some more research on solving the issue and also possibly buying a new, again. We finally came to a decision to replace it with another Whirlpool model and accepted the fact that maybe we just got unlucky with our first refrigerator. So, we got a similar model with French doors and we're loving it again.

We didn't love the price at all and we were dreading making another investment with a Whirlpool. At the time, it was the top recommended brand for a refrigerator. It has been a little over 5 years now and just 2 weeks ago, our second refrigerator starts to cool less and less until everything started going bad, again. You can imagine our extreme frustration. We researched and troubleshooted the issue, again. Nothing worked. This time I called Whirlpool customer service to see if we can get some assistance with repairs because I knew we were past our warranty. I asked the representative for a waiver or exception to policy so we didn't have to pay for the service repair since this was our second refrigerator from Whirlpool and they only lasted 6 and then 5 years.

I expressed my frustration and asked to speak to supervisor and I was told that a supervisor will call me back in 4 hours. The representative was very combative on the phone and impatient. Very displeased with their customer service and I can guarantee that this will be our last Whirlpool refrigerator. Most people don't have $4,000-$5,000 laying around to buy a new refrigerator. This is a huge investment for most families and to have it break down before it's time is just unbelievable.

I bought a side by side Whirlpool Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel Refrigerator in February of 2025. Right from the beginning, the water dispenser dripped after filling a glass. After 6 months, it’s dripping 3-4 times. The issue is the dispenser is set too far in front of the drip tray so the drips go down the front of the refrigerator. Since I have hard water, this creates a white line. I called Whirlpool and they sent a repair service. The repairman immediately said it’s a design flaw and he has had about 20 similar calls. There is no fix for this issue but he said he’d document it and send to Whirlpool. This is something which should have been caught prior to this item ever being shipped and sold. Do not buy!!!

Our beautiful 9 year old Maytag French Door with bottom freezer and a wonderful separate vegetable drawer stopped making ice and cooling properly. Tech said parts and labor would be $800 and might not do the trick. So... decided to buy a new fridge- sale on Memorial Day weekend so bought a side by side as we are just a bit older now and hard to get into the bottom freezer. Loved it. But... not anymore. In less than 2 months the unit stopped cooling properly. Ice cream would melt, ice cubes would melt, then it would cool again, back to temp. Refrigerator side would go up over into the high forties, freezer even went up to 33. Now to get warranty service, what a joke!

Over a week out for an appointment, had to rent a refrigerator to keep our food. Then tech came and it will be 1 to 2 weeks to get a new control board and then fit repair visit into their schedule and around ours as well. Called to our local service and they are having the same problem. Lots of customers are having the control board problems on Whirlpool products and taking forever to get the part. Plus, will that solve the prob? Who knows! Will have to continue to rent the other refrigerator for at least another month. I should have just gotten a second opinion on the Maytag and fixed that maybe. This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable!!!!

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE. SCAM. TRASH! The contractors Whirlpool use! I bought a house 3 years ago with brand new appliances, however my refrigerator was only cooling on one side. Whirlpool contracts with this company. A company that pretends to offer professional and reliable service. A contractor came out to do a diagnosis on my fridge. He never not once opened or touched it to diagnose it. He did diagnose it. Upon his arrival I had already cleaned out. He looked inside to tell me that, "It looks like it need a heater replacement." I asked him, "How is that so? By only looking at it and not touching it." He never pulled it out. Nothing of the such. And with every intention with coming back two days later to repair a heater that was never broken for another $319.00.

They asked you for the $162.00 beforehand. Knowing that they are going to play with you. I unplugged my fridge and in 24 hours it started working properly again. Mind you it was never not working completely. I called back to ask for a refund. Which I was never once told that it was non-refundable beforehand. A supervisor called me back by the name Allen with no last name or ID number. Very rude, nasty, and unprofessional. It was not so much about the money. It's about being fair and I was very unsatisfied with the service.

When I asked Allen with no last name or ID number who reported to he stated that he doesn't have a boss and he reports to Whirlpool and will survey next. It wasn't enough that I asked for half of my refund was good enough. To be told no. Now, I am asking for my diagnostic fee to be fully refunded. The reason I face no stars is because I was given the run around. This was the worst experience ever!. You should let folks know straight up that it's non-refundable instead of a ghost lie. Just trash!! BE AWARE OF THIS SCAM!

We purchased a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator Model # WRS588FIHZ06 from Nebraska Furniture Mart. The refrigerator works fine. However, we have had to have the ice machine replaced twice in less than a year. The refrigerator twists the ice cube tray and the tray eventually breaks. The ice also gets stuck before it even drops to the container that holds the ice. The display that shows you how many ounces that are being poured into your cup is also off. My cup only holds 24 oz, but per the display I am getting 32 oz of water even with ice in the cup.

We purchased the extended warranty so we would have coverage on the refrigerator after the standard 1 year manufacturer's warranty. Per our warranty, if we have the same issue 3 times we would receive a new refrigerator. We have called the manufacturer twice to have the ice machine replaced. During the 2nd call, we asked if the manufacturer was hoping that we wouldn't have to call them again before the 1 year manufacturer's warranty was up so they wouldn't have to replace the refrigerator. The agent we spoke to said that was what they are hoping for. I thought Whirlpool made better products than this.

I would sooner go without a refrigerator than buy another Whirlpool refrigerator. We bought a side by side, freezer on the bottom refrigerator, not inexpensive by anyone’s standard. Within 3 years the bottom of the freezer stated filling with water/ice and then spilling out onto our floor. It didn’t take a minute on the internet to see this was incredibly common issue that Whirlpool was well aware of, so aware that they have a replacement fix and video on how to fix.

You just need to buy the parts and then pay someone $300 to fix it or you can do it yourself which is no small job. Actually replacing the defective part is pretty simple and straightforward but removing the freezer door, drawers, rear wall and then defrosting the entire rear coil is a pretty big task and if you don’t do that the part does nothing. Also our ice maker has had so many issues we keep bags of ice in our garage freezer that’s over 30 years old and works like a champ but then again it’s not a Whirlpool. People, do yourself a favor and stay as far away from Whirlpool as you possibly can.

I liked everything about my LG fridge except for the fact that it died completely and simply no longer worked after 4 years, The whirlpool fridge was a equal value warranty replacement, it works, but its design features are not as nice as the LG, The French doors are unbalanced and flop open uncontrollably, I have to control the door as it opens otherwise it crashes open. The doors also require a lot of force to close. There is sometimes a warning chime when the door is left open but it takes way too long to initiate so you may leave the room with the fridge door open and not know it before the chime goes off.

The water dispenser is very low flowing, takes a long time to fill any container with water. I also can’t fit my gym water bottles under the water spout so it's awkward filling up many containers, I’ve also noticed foods freezing up in the fridge, eggs frozen etc.., temp is set to the recommended 40 f but things still freeze. My LG was great on all these fronts except for the cooling part unfortunately. I hope this fridge makes it past the 4 year mark, but the design details and amenities are certainly lacking with my Whirlpool fridge.

Then our milk, juices and food items begin to get spoiled.

I am a carpenter and I repair homes and appliances often. This refrigerator is made in a way where it really isn't easy to work on. Whirlpool Refrigerator Model #res315sdhz05. Honestly, if you are experiencing difficulties with a Whirlpool Refrigerator it might be better to get rid of it and find a refrigerator that has a better track record and useful life. Save your money in not getting a repair man to work on a Whirlpool refrigerator. Also, if you look at reviews for Whirlpool refrigerators you will see there are many people having the same experience. Engineered to fail as an appliance only after a few years. It is disappointing that a refrigerator can not last longer than a few years.

We purchased a washer back in January. After 2 weeks, we realized that we had water in our bedroom. Investigating we found that the drain hose had a small leak. Calling Whirlpool customer service, they told us we had to file a claim. I got the claim form, 2 estimates, pictures, the defective hose, and sent them to Whirlpool. After 2 weeks they told us that they had to send the hose to the manufacturer for testing. It had been 2 months and still have not resolved the issue. There are no phone numbers other than ones for customer service and they only can tell us that the issue is being looked into. When we email the only response we get back is a form letter stating that they have received the email. This is not a way to keep the customer informed.

The company that sold us the fridge eventually went to bat for us and Whirlpool even pushed back at them sending us a new fridge finally. Whirlpool seemed to not care we were living with a broken fridge. Very inconvenient. Beware and read the warranty before you buy. There are all kinds of things in the warranty that allow whirlpool to do as little as possible.

Now it stops working and then starts again after 3 days then works for a week then stops for another 3 days. The last repair tech said he couldn't fix it because it is working. We have to wait for it to stop and let all the food spoil once again. This is unacceptable for a company like Whirlpool. We can't have a fridge that works for a week and then stops working for 3 days.

I wish we could all get in a class-action suit against them. I bought my side-by-side Model # WRF560SEHZ03 from Home Depot, within a year the compressor was spewing gases into the fridge and everything went warm, then, 3 months later, it happened again. Whirlpool customer service IS HORRIBLE and no compensations. Said I had to pay $150 for diagnosis and repairs since I didn't have the extended warranty.

I never thought I would have a problem after a year. Home Depot and Lowe's should be ashamed of themselves as they are aware of these problems with Whirlpool. Due to loss of food and repairs, I have spent more than the fridge is worth. I had a friend who gave me an old fridge and so far, it has run better in one month than a year plus of Whirlpool. I contacted Home Depot after 2 1/2 days of receipt of a new refrigerator/freezer to report continuous loud sounds emanating from a newly purchased refrigerator/freezer. After a few days the refrigerator continues to make sounds loud enough to be disturbing. When I reported the issue the HomeDepot representative argued that I did not meet the window allocated for reporting. I believe I acted reasonably waiting a day or so as after the appliance was initially plugged in, it began making the extremely loud sounds, which I attributed was normal, as the motor(s) and compressors where ramping up to bring the refrigerator to the desired temperature. The loud sounds emanating from the refrigerator/freezer never stopped.

I was then forced to call Whirlpool that same day for warranty repairs. I waited 3 -4 week before a technician arrived, only to have the technician tell me he cannot fix the issue. That was over 2 weeks ago, and as of 5 Mar 2025, I have not heard from the warranty repair contractor. I feel I have been treated especially poorly and unfairly. All the while I have an appliance that makes loud sounds, loud enough that it has brought mental strife to my family's quality of LIFE. I need a resolution as soon as possible. I have family members with hearing impairment, the loud sounds are unbearable to my family members. I mentioned before a technician assessed the refrigerator, He stated there was not a resolution for the excessively loud sounds the appliance makes.

I asked that he included his observation and diagnoses in his report, but after contacting Whirlpool warranty support, I was told no such entry note was ever made a part of the record. I believe the refrigeration is defective, as the technician alluded to during his first visit, is there a path to return this defective appliance. Home Depot is our family everyday source for hardware, support and appliance for over 40 years. Your continued support and cooperation is greatly appreciated

Note: 8 Mar 2025. While I was finalizing this email message, a representative of Home Depot called to let me know he was en route to service the refrigerator issue, only to discover that his order of support was for a "Dishwasher". After I explained in detail the issue was with the refrigerator/freezer, the technician said he would arrange to have the "Defective" (note his words) refrigerator/freezer replace on Monday, 10 Mar 2025. One hour later another Home Depot representative called to say a replacement was not being dispatched for delivery on 10 Mar 2025. I am beyond frustration at this moment.

2nd Attempt to resolve issue causing Family Hardship. Unfortunately to my detriment and faith in Whirlpool products, I missed the 48hr deadline by less than 10hrs, My initial call was made after determining the loud sound emanating from the refrigerator had not ceased as expected. Not to mention, the service technician explained that he can replace the part, but replacing the part would not fix the issue. As he explained the situation with a shrug, as if nothing else can be done. As stated in my previous note, I have been a loyal Whirlpool appliance consumer for over 40 year, I have never been involved I an reported issue where a product has caused environmental health issues for my family, appears to be falling on deaf ears. Your support is greatly appreciated and urgently needed. As of Mar. 14 2025 I am on the schedule to have the Evaporator Motor replaced for the 2nd time.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator when I moved into my new home in July 2022. Five to eight months into having the fridge, I started to experience issues with the ice maker. A technician came out and supposedly repaired the problems, but they charged me for coming out since I didn't get a warranty. I had no problem paying out of pocket to get it repaired properly. The same technician came out four more times for the same issues, and still, the problem was not repaired. Why continue to waste good money for a problem that continues to exist?

The technician repeatedly shared that this is an issue with "Whirlpool appliance!!!! I had to purchase ice every week because of this problem. I am spending additional money when I purchase a new fridge to do that for me. Then I started to have issues getting water from the refrigerator, too. Sadly, I have attempted to contact Whirlpool to see what they can do since I spent over $2000 for a fridge that doesn't produce ice or water. I can't talk to a person because the provided prompts don't address my issue. I have been corresponding since last September, and the first email asked about when I purchased it, where, and the model.

I provided that to them, and then I was given that they would provide me with 20-30% off a Kitchen-aid, on my next purchase. I don't need or ask for a kitchen aid; I need Whirlpool to compensate for a refrigerator sitting in my garage because I had to purchase another refrigerator because it didn't make any ice or get water from it. The string that broke two camels' backs was the email I received today from Shaterrica of the Whirlpool Consumer Correspondence Team: "Thanks for your feedback, and it will be documented and forwarded for review." She goes on to say that it may not generate any contact with you, but a file will be generated to be reviewed by analysts to see how to improve the quality of their appliance. What this said to me as a customer is that you don't care what I spend because we have been paid for the poor quality of a refrigerator. We are just checking boxes as a formality that we did something.

Going forward, I will ensure that people know what Whirlpool stands for in terms of caring for its customers and the poor craftsmanship of its appliances. I will never, and I mean never, purchase anything that starts with a "w" and ends with "l." As you can see from the picture, it is sitting in my garage. I wish Whirlpool would pick it up and give me my money back. I purchased this refrigerator at Lowe's in Killeen, Texas. The representative from Whirlpool was kind enough to recommend purchasing an extended warranty through a third party and assured us that this repair would be covered. My one star rating is strictly for Whirlpool. The outside contracted company that originally came out, diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts, and repaired the refrigerator were excellent. Once the parts were in and they came out to fix the refrigerator it was a five hour repair job!! So far it’s working but every time the refrigerator makes a strange noise we are waiting for it to die again. We had to pay $300ish to replace a sensor. Then in October 2023, the water dispenser in the door quit working, another broken part for $300ish. Now the freezer quit freezing again, had a technician out and he defrosted the completely frozen over coil (freezer draw was left open slightly for about an hour 4-6 months ago), reset everything and it was working properly again (by his testing), charged me $170.

At 2am the water dispenser wasn't working, none of the lights in the frig or freezer were working and it was making a clunking sound. Had the technician out the following day and he wasn't able to get any definitive diagnosis but after unplugging all the harnesses and the unit from the wall, multiple times, the unit reset itself and is now working, since Friday. Technician told me if it fails again, the only thing they can do is start replacing parts and hope that works. NOTE: this unit has 5 computers and 5 fans. The freezer works fine, and it makes ice. Very Sad that it would cost around $1,000 to fix a 2 yr old Refrigerator. It would cost almost $1,000 to fix. Completely unacceptable for a new product..Due to timing issues we did not have the water line installed until recently and now we have a non functioning ice maker.. When water fills the ice line it leaks all over the floor.. Water line is working. No leaking when using water side..We have had so many service calls I’ve lost count … Now freezer door needs to be replaced which will take 6~8 weeks.. So afraid I’ll be back to a poor sealing freezer.. If I could find any other manufacturer's product to fit in the spot I absolutely would but we are stuck.. What happened to the quality of Whirlpool? Extremely disappointed. Would not recommend or purchase Whirlpool again..

The compressor of my Whirlpool bottom mount fridge with model no. URB551WNGZ started failing only after 2 months of using the brand new fridge, I called customer service in worse customer, they had to replace the compressor for me, as it completely stopped working after two months of purchase. After the new part was replaced, the fridge started making loud noises all the time, louder than my Nespresso machine, it's not with a reasonable tolerance level, I cannot sleep and do my work with the noise of fridge compressor on almost 24/7. It’s making louder noises than any old fridges I have used in the past. And I have to wear earplugs at home.

I called the customer service many times, they told me it’s not in their warranty, as long as the fridge is functioning, they expect each compressor has different level of noise, their customer service wouldn’t escalate my requests to corporate or higher level, it’s an dead end if the person over the customer service line deny to provide further help. They told me the only way to resolve it is to buy a new fridge from them and they could offer some discount but there won’t be any warranty coming with the new one. Please use your own judgement before buying any Whirlpool fridge, I haven’t experienced this low level of customer service or quality of fridge before. The plastic shelves inside also very easily break. I would expect a new fridge to function like a new fridge if I paid the full price for it, not some substandard fridge with non fixable compressor issue, which they refused to warrant. The worst customer service ever. The fridge kept having problems immediately after the warranty expired. All the problems are related to a very poor design of wirings and mechanisms. The wires crossing from the freezer section to the freezer door where all the electronic controls are got snapped because of the simple operation of the door. Only by opening and closing the door, those wires wear off to the point that they simply snap interrupting communication with vital mechanisms like the ice maker and the defrost cycle. A Chilling Disappointment: Whirlpool Refrigerator Fails to Deliver. After investing in a brand new Whirlpool refrigerator on September 4th, I've been left with nothing but regret and spoiled food. Despite four service calls and over a month of patience, this appliance has proven to be a colossal failure.

Persistent Temperature Issues. The refrigerator stubbornly refuses to reach the manufacturer's recommended temperature of 38°F, hovering instead at an unacceptable 42°F1. Even more concerning, the freezer can't maintain the desired 0°F, instead struggling to stay below 10°F. These temperatures are far from ideal for food safety and preservation.

Ineffective Service Calls. Four separate service calls have yielded zero improvements. The technician's attempts to set the temperatures to 38°F for the refrigerator and -4°F for the freezer have been futile. It's baffling that trained professionals cannot resolve what should be a straightforward issue.

Unacceptable Customer Service. Whirlpool's response to this ongoing problem has been nothing short of disappointing. What other company would expect customers to tolerate a defective product for over a month? The lack of a replacement offer is particularly galling, especially considering the essential nature of a refrigerator in daily life.

False Advertising. This refrigerator is clearly not performing as advertised. The inability to maintain proper cooling temperatures renders it essentially useless for its primary purpose. It's unacceptable that a major appliance manufacturer like Whirlpool would allow such a subpar product to reach consumers.

Time and Patience Wasted. The amount of time and patience required to deal with this issue has been unreasonable. Multiple service appointments, constant temperature monitoring, and the stress of potentially unsafe food storage have taken their toll. How much longer are customers expected to endure this inconvenience?

In conclusion, this Whirlpool refrigerator has been nothing but a source of frustration and disappointment. The company's failure to address the issue promptly and effectively is a clear indication of their disregard for customer satisfaction. Potential buyers should think twice before trusting Whirlpool with their hard-earned money and the safety of their food.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator in 2023 which Whirlpool elected to replace in December 2023 due to an ongoing problem. The replacement refrigerator had the exact same problem as the original one, then it quit working the week of Christmas 2023. The certified Whirlpool Appliance repair company (S&S Appliance) has made more than 10 service calls on the replacement refrigerator since January 2024 and replace more than 25 parts, replacing multiple parts more than once. Parts that have been replaced include the icemaker, valves, gaskets, tubes, reservoir and a regulator. I did not receive the invoice of parts replaced in January 2024 and have asked for it numerous times and all requests have gone unanswered.

The replacement refrigerator received in December 2023 has more problems than the original purchased in 2023. Currently the water is so loud when the icemaker fills up or water dispensed from the front door, it can be heard all over the house. It was not like this when the refrigerator was delivered, the loud noise started after multiple parts were replaced.

I have discussed this with Whirlpool many times and the reply I get is "the refrigerator is operating as it should", which IT IS NOT. 8/30/24 was the last service call and the two problems (ice bin is filling with water and freezing into a solid block of ice, and the water dispensing is extremely loud) were not corrected. I have contacted Whirlpool yet again for another service call. This refrigerator is a lemon and should be replaced. I will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool appliance and recommend the same to everyone I know. I did not want to give a one star rating...I would like to give a minus ten!!!

Nothing fits well into the shelf compartments, as if the engineers just threw something together without any regard for what might be stored there. The top isn't flat, rather it's bulging as if someone jammed stuff inside to make it fit, and now the seal on the freezer has peeled halfway off so the door no longer shuts right, leaving a situation with ice and frost forming inside. I would expect more from an old established brand like this, including a company that can stand behind a major purchase like this for more than one year. I have never been more disgusted. My $1300 stainless steel fridge MOD.WRS321SDHZ08 turned 2 years old this month. I called the warranty services because it was warm one day. They told me that I would need to come have a tech diagnose the issue even though I have already diagnosed it. The problem is it is the defroster. A CRUICIAL PART of a working refrigerator that is ONLY COVERED as part of the 1 YEAR WARRANTY! So they gave me 2 options. Option 1 is a one time fix costing $477 PAID IN FULL BEFORE ANYONE WILL EVEN LOOK AT IT!!! (30% of the cost of the fridge). Or I could purchase a warranty which would cost me $43 a month INDEFINITELY! (Because if it doesn't last 2 years, it could break literally everyday!) I have thrown out everything in my fridge multiple times now because of this.

ALL of my kitchen appliances are Whirlpool. But I will never be purchasing Whirlpool products in the future if they cannot stand behind their product for longer than 1 year! Refrigerators should last 40 years without issues! As I have now found, this model has a history of the defroster being an issue. It should be recalled. It is made with cheap parts in Mexico and at one point the evaporator fan stopped because it got caught on another part which shifted over about an inch because the zip tie that was holding it back slid slightly. If I had called someone out at that point I would've paid them $150 for a zip tie! I'll probably just learn how to fix it myself because I'm not paying some schmuck to come out to bend me over a barrel like Whirlpool already did.

Over the next 2 months they sent various repairmen to my home 6 times in total, to attempt to fix it. Plus another 2 times that were no shows. That's 8 mornings I took off from work in total. Only after 2 months with no freezer/ice machine, attempting 6 times to repair and changing a multitude of parts did they FINALLY decide to credit me (not refund) the $1,800 towards a replacement. And here's the icing on the cake....

Whirlpool Corporate informed me that my model had been discontinued from when I purchased it 2 months ago, but that they'd credit me what I paid ($1,800) towards another model. Although, if I decided to replace it with a model costing less, they would not refund me the difference! Is that even legal?? They also informed me that a refund was not an option, even though it was deemed defective out of the box. I also asked if I could get compensated in any way for the nightmare they put me through, including my estimated 32 hrs in total I had to take off from work to meet their repairmen? Whirlpool Corporate's answer was simply.."No, Whirlpool does not compensate." By the way, I just discovered on 08/15/24 that there is a class action law suit filed against Whirlpool for you guessed it....their refrigerators.

I wouldn’t even give this Whirlpool refrigerator one star. The product quality is terrible, and the service is even worse. I received a brand-new Whirlpool refrigerator as part of my new home, but the freezer section never cooled properly from day one. When I contacted customer care for a replacement, they refused, stating that because it was purchased through the builder as part of my home package, it couldn't be replaced. They insisted that unless the service technicians declared the appliance irreparable, they wouldn’t replace it. The service technicians took 3-4 months and multiple visits to fix the fridge, all while I endured a Southern summer without a working freezer or ice maker. Their lack of expertise was frustrating, and customer care was completely unhelpful.

After finally managing to repair the freezer, it worked for just another year before breaking down again—this time, the compressor failed. Since the refrigerator was out of warranty, Whirlpool only covered the compressor and sealed parts, but not the labor cost. The labor estimate I received was nearly the cost of a new refrigerator, so I ended up throwing away a two-year-old appliance and buying a new one. I faced similar issues with other Whirlpool appliances like the microwave and washer. Because of this experience, I will never purchase another Whirlpool product. I’ve advised my friends to steer clear as well. This was the worst experience I’ve had with any brand.

Bought new fridge by paying whole amount at once and it is so bad. Just after a month of purchase excess cooling was happening. We requested for exchange but Whirlpool company didn't do. They came around 3-4 times and don't know what all they did. We were against it but they were adamant they won't change. They then repaired and changed the sensor. And now again after 4-5 months, fridge is not cooling only. I have bakery business, my cream and other products are getting melted. The store from where we bought (The Great Eastern) and Whirlpool company both are behaving very badly with this. I request someone to look into this matter.

Finally got the thermostat about 2 months later. Tried that for about 2 months and it started all over. Had one more service tech out probably another 2 months later. Worked for bit then slowly started freezing again, slowly turned temperature down little by little, quit using some of the drawers. Last straw was the one shelf fell off. There is no reimbursements. It keeps milk and meat great. But it ruins all cold sensitive veggies like cucumbers and greens. Normally I can adjust the temp and keep sensitive vegetables down on the lower section and it's fine. Not with this fridge. I finally gave up and bought a second fridge just to keep vegetables. Also the cheese tray thing falls out and drops all my food on the floor. Happened dozens of times. I'm tired of my expensive cheese hitting the floor. This company makes junk. Don't buy it.

I bought the AIG warranty and now the fridge is under their repair control.

After several trips by the tech he said it was 'unrepairable' and to file a claim for replacement. AIG said they don't replace the unit they will only offer a buy out according to their terms. That was fine with me because I don't want another Whirlpool! The problem is that they only offered 60% of the cost of a replacement when the fridge is only 6 months old. (The factory warranty does not cover the replacement unit.) So I am out almost 40% of the cost of a new fridge but I am also out the $200 for the warranty and $50 for the disposal fee. We have now had to discard all contents of the fridge 3 times and taken multiple days off of work to have someone come out and look at it, then come out and "repair" it and no kind of reimbursement or apologies from anyone. I mean a fridge over $2000 should last more than 16 months. First time it was only about 8 months old, then 16 months and now it is out again.

There is another class action lawsuit against Whirlpool for their wiring in their refrigerators. However the issue is not isolated to Whirlpool refrigerators. I recently had to replace my 1.5 year old washing machine for the same wiring issue. After 18 months of use, the wires leading to the drain pump snapped. We called Whirlpool and it was of course out of warranty. We were forced to call an appliance repair company as we had a newborn baby at home. This repair company wanted to replace the entire motherboard. Being that the washer was almost brand new, we had a second repairman come out. He repaired the wires and got it working again. Two months later it happened again. He came back and fixed the wires again. The third time that the wires snapped was the final straw.

I reached out to Whirlpool one more time to do right by their product. I wrote a negative review on Home Depot and Whirlpool. They posted what seemed like a very “concerned” reply and asked me to reach out via Facebook with a case number. After reaching out via Facebook, they suggested I download their app. Mind you, the wires were snapped. Their app was not going to fix this. When this “solution” didn’t work, they told me to reach out to their customer service number. When I called, they offered me 20% off a new washing machine. I would NEVER purchase anything Whirlpool. I don’t care who recommends these products, their company is absolutely disgraceful.

Bought this fridge 6 months ago and it has leaked water from the in door water/ice, problem#1 it leaks, #2 it does not go into the drip tray it should, instead it runs down the door. The water has now damaged the finish on the stainless steel.

Tech has been out three times and not fixed. So warranty service has been fine but just cannot fix it. They absolutely and here is the ***buyer beware*** will not fix the door as "the warranty does not cover any damage that the faulty part causes". So they will fix the problem but if it damages your floor or the unit itself or whatever, they are out. AND "there is no one in the company that can override the written warranty". AND the manager of the escalation team is "not customer facing" so you can only deal with the person reading off queue cards when you call in. The good news is that they are sending a tech out again for the 4th time but even if he fixes, I live with a damaged unit that has water stains down the front of it.

The Whirlpool French door fridge we bought has a horrible design, obviously was never thought through on if it would even work as designed, it does not. The center plastic shelf - that has the two "crisper" compartments and table glass - as a shelf all add "start" weight to the shelf where the owner is supposed to be able to place food items into the compartments and even on top the plastic lined glass shelf - that's the way it was designed - very flawed! There is no support in the front - thus once the shelf and glass, and plastic frame support and compartments are installed the shelf is already sagging under its own weight.

Now placed actual food items in the compartments and on top of the glass top - AS DESIGNED - it bends (Sags) in the middle, thus you have trouble sliding the compartments out and at times cannot open these compartments unless you remove the food items on top of the glass shelf that is also weighing down the compartments, without a front support the compartments and main shelf is useless, this fridge is garbage, never again whirlpool, be warned.

Bought Whirlpool Refrigerator Model WRX735SDHZ08 from Lowe's in Sparks, NV early in 2023. This was recommended by a Whirlpool certified appliance repair shop technician. We had a Kenmore Elite refrigerator that sprung a water leak on the door and the technician said it will cost about $1000 to replace it and if we buy a new one, the "best" in the market is a Whirlpool - found out later totally false. Lowe's had a sale on their Whirlpool WRX735SDHZ08 and it looked nice on the outside so we bought it. It's for our 2nd home. We found out we had to push the left door shut to completely close it. This happened many times and cold air leaks out since it was not obvious the door was not completely closed. We put a warning tape to push the door shut but we still forget sometimes.

I called Whirlpool and they scheduled a technician (same repair shop that recommended Whirlpool) and he looked and said he can't find anything wrong -just tilted the unit higher on the front so the door will fall back - didn't solve the problem. He ordered two new door parts which he said are the only parts involved door closure. The parts came and they looked totally the same as the original. Asked him why he thinks the new parts are better -he doesn't know. He put them on and said it was better. I checked and it performed the same as the original, and maybe slightly worse. The technician said there is nothing wrong with it and he can't do any repair. He said it works fine. Of course there is nothing he can do - it was a bad design. The door when he left still doesn't shut close unless you push it, even at ¼- inch away from the unit.

Whirlpool said there is nothing wrong with the refrigerator and you have to push shut the door to close it. Don't know if this Whirlpool support agent has a refrigerator. We've had many refrigerators over 40+ years in three homes and this is the first and only one we had a problem like this which that company says "NORMAL". All I wanted was to return it and buy another one of their models (which would have been another mistake anyway). But their agent said unless there a defect that cannot be repaired, I don't have any recourse. NEVER AGAIN, including that "certified repair shop".

I have all Whirlpool appliances and have always stuck with Whirlpool, Has always been my go-to brand but this new suite of appliances I bought only one has been good so far is the dishwasher. Microwave still in box, stove out box unused and won't use without having a lock, Fridge is rendering useless. All the sudden I get up today and my fridge is randomly sending water to my ice maker, then ice does freeze, it takes 3 hrs then finally dumps them. Ice bin only a quarter full after 3 days. I was making ice prior to this for a month or so with no problems. Ice cream doesn't freeze unless fridge is maxed out. So much for the recommend setting. Shelves barely stay on the supports and move around.

And then I refuse to use my oven because I want a lock on it, like they used to have and still have on other models just not steam models and does not specify this. So that it keeps kids from climbing in it. Control locks do no good as they can reach him anyway but they sure can open that door and get in. So I need to find out how I go about getting a manual lock or an automatic one, it has the openings to have one mounted in there just not one there. So at this point, I'm not too satisfied with Whirlpool. I don't have time or the mental capacity to deal with stuff that does not work. I am a disabled veteran and fixed income and had saved for these appliances. I have Parkinson's Disease so remodeling myself is going slowly. I had them 6 months so I didn't risk not being able to get them later. I really would like my money back and the appliances taken out.

I did the online chat at your website and got sent from the first person the parts and then from the parts department to customer service and I'm back to the parts department, nobody knows where I need to go apparently or wants to handle it. When I tried to respond on Twitter or X and obvious that change and I got message you there, I've left reviews on my appliances at the moment on Lowe's and Whirlpool websites. Use to be really great, not anymore. stay away, spend your money on something with quality if that still exist anymore. Thank you, Brad.

Purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator from Lowes. It was delivered with a dent in the door. Instead of replacing the refrigerator, Lowes only replaced the door (retail stores are only liable for the first 48 hours of the sale so the longer they can put you off they will to make it the mfg fault.) We tried following the rules and now we have a non-working ice maker on our 1800.00 refrigerator. Now after 3 door replacements, the icemaker still does not work. Whirlpools sent the repairman twice to fix and replace the door. The new doors do not seal properly (and won't). The repairman advised - Whirlpool will not replace the refrigerator if there is something wrong, they will continue to try to have it repaired.

Lowe's advised me nothing they can do now it is the manufacturer's fault. Whirlpool told me Lowe's sold us a floor model, Lowe's denies that. Do not buy a Whirlpool. Their customer service is non-existent - once they get your money. Good luck and do not buy from Lowe's. We bought an extended warranty too but it is all just a waste of money.

My husband couldn't figure out how to get cover off to see what kind of led bulb we needed to replace, so we called whirlpool and they advised us we couldn't change or get replacement bulbs. They said we would have to call and pay for someone to come out and change the bulb. So my husband said, just tell me how to get the cover off and I will buy the bulb myself. They said, "No you can't buy the bulbs yourself. You can only call a serviceman out, they are the only ones who can get them!" What a rip off!!

Whirlpool wants everyone who buys one of their refrigerators to have to pay outrageous prices for a service call to change a light bulb!!!! I have always purchased and liked whirlpool in the past, but now I am wanting to purchase a different brand in the future, due to this problem!!! It is a shame as high priced as everything is, these days, that whirlpool would do this to their customers!!! If you don't want to get stuck like we did I would advise you do your homework before purchasing appliances these days!!! Now we have a fridge that has basically no light and it will stay that way as long as we have this fridge, because we refuse to pay a service person to come out and change a light bulb!!!!

My Whirlpool Refrigerator was 8 years old. The frig temperature was at 48 degrees, and the freezer was at 30 degrees. We used the manual to troubleshoot the issue. It states that the condenser requires cleaning every 2-3 months if the environment is greasy, dusty or has pet traffic (otherwise, it NEVER needs cleaning). Our kitchen environment is clean, and we have no pets. The condenser is at floor level, and after 8 years, it was packed with dirt and dust. Customer service stands by this negligent statement in the manual. There's plenty of online information provided by expert repair people stating that the condenser needs cleaning every 6 months, regardless of the environment. In my view, Whirlpool should have offered to do the right thing and offer free service to rectify the issue. I'd give them ZERO stars if I could!

Had a technician come by for $156. He said the sealing system wasn't keeping it cold and freon had leaked out. Another technician came by and tried putting in more freon which didn't work a day later. On top of that, the refrigerator itself quit working.

Had to make another appointment which took approximately another week. Technician came by and did more work and found out a part was needed, and other work, plus had to redo freon again. By the way, we were living out of a cooler for days. I demanded a new refrigerator, and they said no. So this technician said it was fixed. I purchased a freezer thermometer and to this day ice cream will not freeze for some reason. Anyways, not happy with Whirlpool. Still warranty is good till 2026 I believe. Then the center rail for the crisper bins broke (all plastic of course). Replaced that. Six months later, broke again. Replaced, broke again. Can't handle more than 2-3 pounds of fruit or veggies in each bin. Now the plastic frame for the crisper top is broken. Replacement is $100. Besides the shelving, the ice maker only lasted 2 years and the freezer door often does not close properly and the freezer frosts up.

I guess I didn't take the hint from this one. Bought a separate Whirlpool fridge for a vacation home in 2020 and it didn't last two years. Constant electronic control box issues. After that went out for the second time, I ditched the Whirlpool and got an LG. So far, so good on that one. Whirlpool seems to be making trash lately, like many of the other brands.

The local retailer came out and replaced the board. Still not working. Then Whirlpool said a repair would have to be attempted three times before they would even consider replacing it. It has a sealed component that doesn't work, a broken condenser, the interior frame and freezer door are damaged.

It was a defective refrigerator from the get-go but Whirlpool will not replace it. They have a standard "policy" that three repairs have to be attempted, even though it is a brand new appliance. This is not a warranty issue; it is an issue that Whirlpool delivered a damaged product and will not make this right. This is a horrible, unethical company, so do not buy their appliances. Ice gets caught in chute so as it melts it falls out onto the floor and leaves little puddles. We bought a new house (new construction Feb/2022) so all appliances came with the house. The refrigerator stopped cooling after two months. Lots of spoiled food (over $200.00 worth) and no telling how long it wasn’t working before we realized. Since it was under manufacturer warranty, we had to deal with builder vendor who was useless. After so many calls to him and lots of frustration and anger. I finally got a tech to come out and all he did was quickly diagnose and a week later finally put two new parts in (harness &thermostat). It worked for a while, and then recently same problem (now under extended warranty because we didn’t trust the fix).

I also advise DO NOT GET EXTENDED WARRANTY. So now losing more food and not able to get a tech out for a couple weeks. Had to buy another refrigerator. Since the 2021 refrigerator is now under extended warranty we paid for. I had to wait a week to get it serviced, and the tech basically replace same part. It never cold so AGAIN had had to call warranty company. I said this is the third time which bylaw should be considered 11. The tech called his tech line and after a lot of discussion (they really can’t determine what is wrong) he is ordering another part. The text said warranty company should determine whether I get a new refrigerator. At this point warranty company said they cannot make that determination so guess what the customer stuck in the middle with no resolution. No one seems to have any empathy, and no one cares that a refrigerator is a NECESSITY. Please pay attention to these reviews and stay away from Whirlpool.

This has cost us nearly $1000 to replace the lost food. Whirlpool doesn't offer any coverage for lost food, they allow the customer to deal with that burden. I agreed with a Whirlpool representative to accept an extended warranty as compensation for the lost food. The refrigerator ended up having an internal leak that couldn't be repaired. They replaced the refrigerator at no cost (it took 2 weeks of living out of coolers, with children in the home). The cost of the ice was again, left for me to burden.

After the new unit arrived, I called Whirlpool to ask about getting the extended warranty transferred to the new unit. I was told that the offer was only good on the old unit, and they would not be able to help me. I tried to explain how and why I was offered the extended warranty, to no avail. The representative as well as the supervisor I spoke with would budge on giving me the extended warranty. I have zero confidence in this new unit, and it will probably fail at month 13 this time leaving me with the bill once again. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product. I hope that everyone who reads this takes my warning... Whirlpool does not care about you, your family, or the financial burden that they put on their customers. I spent $3200 on my fridge that I had for 6 years and purchased 2 extended warranties (each one cost me $500). In the end I was reimbursed 45% of what I initially paid. The fridge was deemed a lemon and they decided to give me 1/2 of my money back instead of replacing the fridge. I was told by Whirlpool customer service multiple times that if my fridge was deemed a lemon they would replace my fridge. Whirlpool owns Kitchen Aid, Amana and Jenn Air. I would steer clear of any products they offer unless you want to spend all your time with repair companies. My fridge was repairs 20 times in 5 years. Seriously? The quality is HORRIBLE and Whirlpool is laughing all the way to the bank. Don't waste your money on extended warranties if your goal (if the fridge is a lemon) is to get a new fridge. That WON'T happen.

I purchased from Lowes on 08/21/22 a Whirlpool Refrigerator model WRS571CIHZ. In January 2023 my food was freezing in the refrigerator, Whirlpool sent Flamingo Appliance Service, the first time here they said that nothing was wrong and they felt that the vents were blocked. I made sure that nothing was blocking the vent in the refrigerator and my food was still freezing in the refrigerator. I phoned Flamingo Appliance Service and they told me that they would be ordering 2 parts to replace on my refrigerator, when I phoned to see when they would be replacing the parts I was told that the parts were on back order and they had no idea when the parts would arrive.

I phoned Whirlpool about the back ordered parts and after many calls and no answer I contacted the Attorney Generals Senior Abuse hotline. (Please understand that my husband's diabetic medicine that costs $600.00 was freezing due to the parts that needed replacement.) Whirlpool did nothing to help me until they were contacted by the Senior Abuse department. Whirlpool found the parts and Flamingo Appliance Service came out a week later as they are short on staff. Whirlpool would not assign another company that works with them as Flamingo Appliance Service would be the only company they would allow under their manufacture warranty.

I now have a new problem today 04/26/23 with my refrigerator as the refrigerator is not cooling properly as everything today was warm. I just went shopping yesterday and paid over $200.00 for groceries that are spooling. I phoned Whirlpool today and they said that Flamingo Appliance Service was the only company they would allow and they would not be able to get anyone here until May 04, 2023. I phoned Flamingo Appliance Service and they confirmed that they do not have enough service people on staff and I would have to wait. I want my refrigerator replaced by Whirlpool with a new one or I want my full refund for what I paid and my lemon refrigerator taken out of my home. The only service Whirlpool provides is LIP SERVICE, DO NOT BUY A WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT.

I bought the sleek Whirlpool for a remodel job. It was installed in September - October 2021. It started when my tenant was unable to keep his ice frozen. We finally had a service tech come out for $125 to advise me that the compressor is the issue. He said that about 3% of the Whirlpool Fridges experience this kind of slow death. The freezer became the fridge and I reached out to Whirlpool, sent pictures of the MFGR stamp, etc. They took my information and today I received a wonderful email from them. They said in the email how disappointed they were that I was NOT a satisfied customer. I asked why they would not want to at least send a service rep out to see why this unit did not last. They said No and they cannot service it as it was past their 12 month warranty. I basically rented the fridge for 15 months for around $49.50 per month. I cannot replace the compressor and make it worth the cost.

In 2021 we purchased a Whirlpool SxS Fridge mod #WRS312SNHM06 from Lowe's in Victoria B.C. We purchased extended warranty as well for peace of mind but we soon learned that has done nothing to help us deal with the awful noise maker we now have in our kitchen. We noticed a loud oscillating buzz coming from the fridge the first day it was delivered. So we called Lowes but they said we need to call the warranty people which took 3 weeks to have someone come and have a look.

I took a day off work without pay to meet a tech at our home. He checked the fridge and said the fridge sounded normal and tried to say because we have an older house fridges can sometimes make more noise. This to me, being a mechanic for over 35 years, sounded like pure **. I told him that there is something in the bottom of the fridge that is vibrating against something that shouldn't be. He just said we have perfecting good working fridge. It was obvious at this point that we had purchased an inferior quality Whirlpool product from Lowes. Since then, I have investigated the oscillating noise myself and discovered a flimsy drip tray at the bottom of the fridge was partially responsible for some of the racket. I managed to readjust it to lessen some of the noise but there is still something that vibrates that shouldn't be which makes the fridge very annoying to have to listen to.

We have since had the same service tech come out to replace a door light switch which fell apart one day. The tech installed a different switch which required him cutting a larger hole in the interior of the fridge and doesn't appear to fit properly but at least the light works. I told him that I had adjusted the drip tray at the bottom which was making some of the noise and he just looked at me with stunned eyes and couldn't say anything. I have considered that one day I will load the fridge in the back of my truck and park it in Lowes parking lot with a sign on the fridge saying beware of this. I hope this helps you have better luck with your next fridge purchase.

Don’t buy a Whirlpool mini fridge. Preschool teacher of children with disabilities bought one for her classroom. It lasted 6 months. Warranty was for one year. Followed instructions to present warranty claim. Ticket was created, but after 6 months never heard back. Contacted Whirlpool warranty, they acknowledged claim. Said would send personal response, “usually in 24 hours,” but it’s been 4 days and no response. Whirlpool doesn’t stand behind their products. Don’t buy.

    6/2/2022 - I purchased a Refrigerator Model WRT318FMDW09 Serial VSA4347046.
12/2022 - It started making the loud ANNOYING noise.

2/6/23 - Capital City Appliance came out – Adjusted the evaporator fan motor. Not the reason I placed the service call. 10 mins after he left the noise continued. He came back, said, “Had to place another service call due to another issue”.

2/27/23 - Capital City Appliance came out again. Basically was told there is nothing they can do for it. Per the Technician (James T) Compressor units don't use freon anymore. He also state, "I'm not the only one dealing with this type of issue." I should have done my research before purchasing? Excuse me! James spoke to a Tech at Whirlpool and it has been deemed fine. If I have them come out a 3rd time and James states the same findings I will be charged $92.98 for service call. UNACCEPTABLE!! After several calls complaining.

3/9/23 - Victoria (Manager) with Whirlpool called. Her reply Whirlpool will do nothing to fix it. Will not replace it. Offered discounts on other Whirlpool appliance. They stand behind their product. JOKE!!! Can't even watch TV with the Annoying noise. Have to turn it up and down. DO NOT PURCHASE ANY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS – THIS IS HOW THEY HONOR WARRANTIES!! I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator in 2012. A few years later the ice maker quit working. I call one of those tech companies (with people who are EXPERENCED in Whirlpool) and everything they said to do didn't work. I called in a technician who worked on Whirlpool and he said he didn't work on those models, but everyone knows the problem is wiring. I called another tech who said if the ice maker isn't working, WHIRLPOOL KNOWS IT HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE WIRING. I call Whirlpool, no, no recalls. I can buy a new door for more than half what my refrigerator cost or a tech can come and fix it. He fixed the wiring problem, it's a known problem with these models. Now, a couple of years later and guess what, it's broken again. Still no recall. They will give me 40% off a new refrigerator. NEVER BUY THEIR PRODUCTS AGAIN!

Purchased in 2017. First, all LED interior lights failed. Wanted $400+ to replace. Purchased replacements online for $240, and installed myself. Water filter failed. Filter would not remain in place; kept popping out. Only repair was to replace entire water filtration system; another proposed $400 fix. I stopped using water filters! March 2023 - 2nd failure of LED interior lights. Give me a refrigerator with plain old light bulbs, please!!!
