    Purchased a Whirlpool 31 cu.ft. French Door Refrigerator/Freezer in late January, 2026. Seems OK So far; Except the shelves in Doors Are Not Wide enough to sit a carton of Eggs Flat!!! MADE IN CHINA EXPLAINS THIS I SUPPOSE!!? DOES CHINA EVEN HAVE EGGS IN CARTONS!?! Buyer beware!!! Will never buy any thing made by Whirlpool!!! Just cheap, inferior junk made in China!!!

    We just purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator with French doors and a bottom mount. So far, the refrigerator and freezer units are working as they should be. However, the temperature-controlled drawer is cheaply made and poorly designed. It does not stay on its tracks when you put any weight in it. Whirlpool needs to fix this!

    Do not buy this brand. Spent over $2000 for the Whirlpool French Door Bottom Mount Frig 2.5 years ago. The ice maker was replaced (2) times. Still never worked. Next the unit stopped cooling and I lost everything inside. Had Whirlpool service out to fix unit and after two computer boards "Not Working" they said they could come out in another week to further do diagnostics. Imagine two weeks without a frig in your home? Basically they wanted to blame everything else that was not under warranty! Bad product and even worse customer service experience!!!!

    It amazes me how ya spend well over 1000 dollars, and the refrigerator will only last 5 or so years. It's obvious that quality has diminished for profit. We replaced ours because the defrost thermostat failed and could not get a part number to replace it. Whirlpool staff was short and rude on the phone as if I was inconveniencing them for a part. Poor quality designed to fail.

    Horrible!!! Spent $800 on a brand new washer less than 30 days. It broke. It needs a whole new board. My part is on backorder and nobody can tell me when it will be in. Will not give me a refund. Will not replace the unit. Have refused to do anything to help me!!!! Beyond horrible. Save your money. Go buy something else!!

    I wish I could give a zero or no star review. I stupidly bought a Whirlpool refrigerator model # WRF555SDFZ16 after I had bought a Whirlpool microwave, of course shortly after I got the frig the microwave went out, it had only been just over a year! Now 2 years into my refrigerator it is dead! I WILL NEVER BUY Whirlpool BRAND AGAIN!!!! I bought extended warranty from Allstate however they say it is a gasket issue and that it is still under Whirlpool warranty and that I will have to wait until 03/02/26 for a certified technician to come and fix it!!! In the meantime I am without a refrigerator since I guess it took out the compressor and it won't cool or turn on at all! What a scam!!! I will show the photos of the gasket that I took off to inspect, it is total shit.

    My refrigerator works great. I bought it 12/2022. My problem is the side is warped and has paint coming off. I wouldn't mind if no one could see it but it is on side not covered by cabinets. Have never had this happen.

    I wish I could give less than 1 star. I bought a new $2000 refrigerator that started to rust in the first year I bought it. Every cheap plastic drawer and door bid is cracked and or broken. The garbage replacement drawers are over $100 and will beak as soon as you use them. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAPPY BRAND EVER!!!! What a waste of money. If it was $500 I wouldn’t be so mad but this piece of crap was 2 Grand. What a shame. I will NEVER buy Whirlpool again ever!!!!

    Worst customer service. Fridge is a year old. It’s garbage, doesn’t work right. Date Jan 30 and they said can’t get anyone out till Feb 9. Don’t buy, their fridges are junk. Don’t buy, waste of money. Last fridge lasted over 20 years. They should be put out of business. I’m a maintenance guy at a manufacturing company in Michigan. I asked them to send me the board. They said, "We can’t do this", so put my family without a fridge for 3 weeks. I will tell everyone not to buy Whirlpool appliances. They're junk, this unit was built in October 2025.

    There’s nothing wrong with the refrigerator. It’s great however I paid 2299 for a refrigerator. Now there’s a $600 rebate for the next 90 days. I’ve called several numbers and talked to several people at Whirlpool and no one can help me so first of all, I had an email saying they would pay for delivery which was ** the old one which is 60 and the $600 rebate. In other words whirlpool owes me $700 and they won’t help me get the Refund. Shame on them. I’ve spent two hours on this phone for no help.

    This is my second refrigerator delivered now. The first one had a very load rattle and a noise like a Keurig coffee pot at the end of the pots cycle even after the compressor stop running. After two service calls the repair tech said it couldn’t be fixed and he put a claim into Whirlpool providing with a claim number. Whirlpool kept denying my claim calling it “normal.” Now with the first refrigerator being replace (doors had to be swapped for opening and they wanted another $75 to do that yet again) is replacement is making the same noise! It is so loud that it wakes me up. Whirlpool would not do anything for me on the first refrigerator and but Best Buy did. Unbelievable their service is terrible. This model is heading for a class action lawsuit for sure. WRT318FZDW11 As you can see it’s still just as they delivered it. 😡

    Bought a Whirlpool fridge (lot $$), August 2024, stopped working Dec. 2025! Called their customer service, no help!! Only 1 year and 3 months old! Work had for my money! Bad quality!! Never buy that brand again!! Would give a ZERO if I could!

    We bought all new matching Whirlpool kitchen appliances 6 years ago after 6 years have come to the conclusion that NEVER AGAIN will we buy Whirlpool. We love the capacity of the fridge but the door seals disintegrated and fell off, then the compressor totally failed and almost started a fire it was so hot. Whirlpool wants over $1200 to replace the compressor on a $2000 fridge and 2 weeks before they come to do the job. This is just insane!! Our glass top stove has had 3 element controller burn out and the over baking element start on fire. Our dishwasher upper "stainless steel" rack is totally rusted out. We paid $5500 6 years ago and now we have to replace everything again! This is just NOT acceptable!

    I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator on 01/04/2025. The ice maker stopped working, and the unit wasn't cooling as it should. I called a technician to verify the cause of these problems. The technician verified that the compressor was failing. This will be the last Whirlpool product I will purchase. I have a Whirlpool refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and microwave. I will start changing out all my Whirlpool products to something more reliable. If you are going to purchase a Whirlpool product. You should think twice before you purchase a Whirlpool product.

    We purchased two Whirlpool WRQA59CNKZ refrigerators in December 2023. The design, counter-depth style, and 4-door layout are convenient and help keep food well organized. However, both units experienced interior LED light failure much earlier than expected — one in September 2025 and the other in December 2025. We also own refrigerators from other major brands that have been used 3–5 years without needing LED replacement, so having the same failure occur in both Whirlpool units raised serious concerns for us regarding reliability. While the refrigerator functions well in terms of storage and layout, the premature LED failures are disappointing. We hope Whirlpool can address this recurring issue so that customers can feel more confident in the long-term durability of this product.

    The refrigerator itself is fine. The ice maker is a piece of garbage. It constantly gets jammed, makes too much ice, or just stops making ice altogether. For what you pay for a Whirlpool refrigerator you would expect much better quality. The ice maker on ours has been nothing but trouble from the day we brought it home.

    I am extremely dissatisfied with Whirlpool products. My washer failed after only 22 months when the agitator completely detached, and Whirlpool support was unhelpful. This follows ongoing issues with my Whirlpool refrigerator, which leaks water and has condensation problems despite never being connected to an ice maker. Two major appliances failing in this way is unacceptable. Whirlpool products have proven unreliable, and I will never purchase from this brand again.

    Why are they allowed to make refrigerators.? Never buy a Whirlpool. Matter fact the whole brand should be shut down.... You suck at building electronics. Terrible wasting valuable time. Since your refrigerators suck I assume all your products suck! Samsung for the win.

    My fridge went out in 3/2020. I did my search and decided on the model # WRS588FIHW00. I noticed there was a problem with the ice maker spitting out ice on the floor. I read that the problem was fixed. So I went to purchase it from Home Depot. Due to Covid they were out of stock and no idea when they would have one. I waited for them to restock. I finally got it in 2/21. About a year later the icemaker went out. My brother googled and found out a faulty wire on the door. He repaired it. Since then it has broken several times in which he repaired it. This time it broke and only lasted two weeks. A permanent fix would be to replace the door. That can be very expensive.

    I called corp. they offered me a 15% discount on my next purchased. I said no they went to 20%. I turned it down. I researched it and found a class action suit against them. I wouldn’t recommend whirlpool to anyone. They don’t stand behind their products. I love my refrigerator that’s why I give it 3 stars, but the company is awful. No stars for whirlpool corporate office v.

    Worst experience ever in my life, my wife and I are in our 60, live on disability. Bought a refrigerator 4 years ago. Freezer stopped working. Thawed our food. Contacted company and because we didn't buy an extended warranty they won't cover it so we just got stuck. Way to go Whirlpool. Thanks for nothing. Merry Christmas to us.     Worst customer service. Whirlpool product semi automatic is sold with ten years warranty. Very poor quality of product and material worst condition. Customer service Worst service. I brought ACE semi automatic washing machine 2023. Within month motor did not work, registered customer complaint, he told no issue. Subsequently machine did not work, they come change belt, within two years prime motor did not work, the service person without visiting location they asked Rs 4550 for new prime motor. Pl no one to buy this product.

    To date, Whirlpool has failed to conduct a proper diagnostic evaluation, failed to honor their warranty obligations, provided conflicting and false information, and engaged in deceptive business practices. The initial qualified Sears technician identified a faulty evaporator fan requiring replacement. Whirlpool has refused to authorize the repair and has instead relied solely on a video clip rather than a professional physical inspection.

    Whirlpool has awful Customer Service. I have spent hours on the phone waiting for a Whirlpool Customer Service Representative. When they answer, they pretend they cannot hear you and then hang up. You have to call them back and sit on the phone for another hour. The BBB currently has Whirlpool rated A+ because they are closing the complaints without acknowledging the customer's dissatisfaction and unresolved issue. The BBB Whirlpool reviews demonstrate the poor quality of the products and the awful Customer Service.

    I received this refrigerator with my new home earlier this year, and it has been a constant frustration. The right freezer door repeatedly locks after opening and requires excessive force to reopen. A technician even told me that other Whirlpool techs consider this “normal,” which is unacceptable. When I reached back out to Whirlpool for a replacement or to speak with someone higher up, they dismissed my concerns entirely. The interior layout is also extremely limiting. You essentially have to choose between storing wine bottles or basic large items like milk, juice, or water. Even everyday items like maple syrup or Parmesan only fit in awkward spots. It has changed how I shop because I have to plan carefully just to make groceries fit. If you have a larger family or children, this refrigerator is absolutely not a practical choice. I would not recommend it.

    Icemaker stopped functioning approximately 90 days after installation. Part is backordered nationally and no certainty of when available, ergo no ice. So far, more than 1 month dealing with repair. No update on possible part arrival.

    Lasted 5 months when it stopped freezing, Took 8 days to get an appliance repair tech assigned, 15 days to get a repair date that was then delayed for weeks plus because to wait for parts. I gave the appliance repair a diagnosis and temperature data. Parts took almost 2 months and then the tech arrived and acted like he wasn't aware of any data. He messed around for 30 minutes and then said the compressor was out and they have had problems with this butane system. So why did I wait almost two months after I provided data and the tech didn't have a compressor that is a common failure point? I decided to give Whirlpool, an American company another chance after I replaced a pump in a new dishwasher two times in three years, and since then, a control board in a 4 year old microwave. As far as I can tell from my experience, Whirlpool sells crappy appliances and has crappy service.

    Worst experience ever. The company Whirlpool hired to repair my refrigerator diagnosed it wrong. I only needed a new water filter. When I tried to cancel the warranty Whirlpool charged me 197.21 to cancel. I would leave 0 stars if I could. Avoid at all costs and hire someone local. Stay away from Whirlpool warranties.

    Bought a Whirlpool refrigerator WRF535SWHZ12 in February and just few months later it makes loud noises constantly. It took over two months and replaced motor and freezer door. But still making weird noises and now chunk of ice build bottom of freezer and basket. Trying to find troubleshooting on website, typed model number and it says no match 😳. Can’t even look it up from their website. Couldn’t even talk with agent. We’ve never had problems with any other brands that we owned except whirlpool. Awful customer service and product!!

    Shame on you Whirlpool, a 28 Cubic Ft. Fridge was Purchased not even 18 month ago, the Water & ICE Dispenser already don't work, door shelves compartment are mashed out of thin plastic, free of them are cracked already, and you ask a $100 for watch Replacement! Shame on you for such low quality & being so greedy for such parts replacement where such a fridge should serve & be in good condition for years... We regret the moment that we decide to purchase your products.

    7 month old French door ref/freezer. Replaced the $ 80 water filter and the ice maker does not work. 4 or 5 phone calls, did everything they suggested with no luck. Told me there are no service techs "in my area" and offered $ 200 for labor to fix it on my own. Appliance repair guy said Whirlpool withholds information from anyone that isn't a "tech". I'm going to sell it, take the lose, buy something that I know can be repaired. $ 1,500 lesson learned.
