I have had Vector Security for 11 years and I have never had any problems. Recently Bob **, who was my sales representative retired, and I needed to make some changes to my system and the new fellow (Kevin **) who came out was very helpful and friendly. The service technicians are always very friendly too. I am very happy to be with Vector!

PROBLEM: System reporting "Front Door Doorbell" failed a remote connectivity test 7:52am 8/8/17. Have had Vector Security service for 4+ years. The end of June we had doorbell and cameras added to our service. For approximately 4 days prior to July 26th, our Vector Security system was reporting a "failed remote connectivity test." Being out of town on business, the only option we had was to call into the Vector Security for tech help. The tech said he rebooted my system to correct itself. It did for several days then failure notices started again. My wife called on August 3rd to arrange an appointment for a tech to come to fix the issue on Aug 4th or 5th when we would be back at home.

We were very pleased with Kevin. The install went well. Kevin helped us with the app multiple times. He was very patient. Helped with apps multiple tabs security in Power video and when we had questions, got a hold of Tech Suport to get us the right answer.

Well, Vector chose me. I moved into my place about 7 years ago and the panel and sensors were already installed by the previous owner. So, I decided to continue to use the same company. I have had a great experience. The service I have includes any repair services I need so I don't have to pay when they come out to me. The representative was friendly, professional and quick. So, I would recommend Vector.

Appointment was readily available in my time frame. Technician was on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. He explained the issue to me (faulty batteries in window sensors) and quickly replaced the batteries. He offered to discuss any upgrades we might need (we are satisfied with our set up). Was very polite in answering all my questions.

Looked on computer and from the time Jeff came all the way through installation everything was perfect. Mike spent the day explaining and reexplaining without any hesitation. Mike's suggestions were perfect and we are so pleased that we picked Vector. I will refer to anyone I know who needs a new alarm with great workers.

I was a customer of Cain and transferred when Vector bought them. I have been very pleased with both service and monitoring and have recommended Vector to friends. I will consider upgrading the system with Vector in the fall to enhance fire protection.

Vector Security installed a security system at my home in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. I am doing some work in the house and needed Vector to come back and relocate the control panel. It's certainly been a great experience. Mr. ** who came to do the work, took time at the beginning of the process and explained what was involved in relocating my system. John the service tech did an excellent job of replacing our security system after a lightning strike in the neighborhood. Will online to use Vector for my home security needs. And I will contact them in the future for other needs at all my properties that need security.

Purpose of visit was an annual service call. Representative was very friendly and professional, also very thorough. He was sent to replace a battery due to a low battery signal. He checked all the batteries on all the smoke detectors as well as the wireless break-in detectors. No one had checked them before & they were 10 years old. All-in-all, very satisfied.

I decided to switch to Vector Security because y'all rates was reasonable. Also I upgraded last year and I must say I'm very pleased with my new system and the availability to access it from my phone using the Vector Security Application. I never had any problem with customer service, always pleasant and very helpful.

Had one of your installers out to my house today to install a new security system. The system that was here was about 30 or 40 years old. Your technician was very knowledgeable and knew just what to do with the old system and how to make the new system work using the older components. I am very happy that I decided to do this upgrade as I will have more feature usage available in the future.

We have had Vector since moving into our house in 2000 and recently decided to upgrade our dated system. Ryan, Cody and Mike were great to work with and were very professional and they cleaned up after themselves. We added Garage Door Control, Doorbell Camera, Light Control, and a second partition for an outdoor shed.

Vector was initially recommended by Howard County Police Dept. for monitoring service. Service has been good over the years as well as recommendations for service upgrades and improvements. Alarm monitoring service along with customer service has also been very good.

At the time we chose Vector it was a good deal. Have not had too many problems with the equipment once it was Upgraded years ago after one of your lesser trained techs fried the CPU... But it all depends on your service technicians. Some are good, such as the one today... Chris... Some take shortcuts that cause problems later. Central sometimes takes too long to respond to an alarm... Milliseconds count! Also, why did it take so long to get online customer accounts?

I had a system with you guys before and I was always happy with your service. Installation went smooth, technician is very friendly and his knowledge of the system was very helpful. I will recommend you to my friends and family.

Tommy ** is extremely knowledgeable about the security system. In fact, he is the most knowledgeable technician I have ever worked with on a home security system. We were not very impressed with Vector until Tommy came to help us update and learn about the system. Vector sent the original contract to an incorrect email and it took a day or so to get that corrected. Tommy has spent hours of time making sure the system works perfectly for our family. He has been out to our home twice to get everything set up for us. He provides exceptional customer service and is extremely professional.

This is about cancellation. I wanted to keep my business locally but since this system went from 2G to 4G there have been nothing but problems. I have been paying for service when the service was not working. The guy knew that I needed an antenna to go on the outside of the roof after he put a short line antenna in my attic. My roof have radium liner on it which will not allow a signal to leave my house. Not even my cell phone will work inside my house. He stated that I will lose my signal from time to time and that I needed a longer line to reach the roof. Well I guess I was to keep calling just to get a longer line.

Local service and very affordable... Fast service and very nice associates. Highly recommend for anyone. They were very fast in scheduling my install and was right on time. Tech was very professional and very informative with the operations. Thank you very very much.

He was on time. Very professional! Did a great job. He swapped out sensors, replaced a battery. He took his time and made sure everything was working properly before he was to leave. Took his to explain some different features on my key pad and remote. I would recommend Meji to anyone.

Back door sensor was not working. Vector was great about coming out and replacing the sensor on the back door. The tech was nice, worked efficiently and professionally. Problem was resolved and all others were checked. I'm very pleased overall.

My overall experience with Vector Security has been great. I'm a long time customer. The technician has always been great. He is always professional and very knowledgeable and informative. It's a pleasure to always see the same person each time there is an issue with the system and he takes care of it right away.

Vector is indeed fortunate to have a Team Leader in the person of Heather. I was having a frustrating experience and she was able to allay my anxieties as well as retain us as a customer by suggesting several options. She has a charismatic style that lends itself to great customer service.

Service call from the beginning to the end was excellent. When we first called in Erica was very professional and was able to squeeze us in same day to fit our schedule. Mike was able to pinpoint the problem very quickly and got us back up and running. He also offered a maintenance agreement for any future problems we might have. We spoke with Mike about adding optional cameras which he is going to provide us a quote for.

I talked to Tonii about my concerns with someone entering my home while I am away. We decided to add a camera to the system and record all the time. The installer was very thorough about making sure that I got the view that I wanted. He was very helpful in setting it up on my phone and computer. I could not be more satisfied with your service or the people representing you!

My system was 25 years old, and I wanted the ability to monitor and set my alarm remotely. I was also concerned about the hardware starting to fail, and I did not want the alarm going off when I was out of town, leaving the alarm going off for days and annoying the neighbors.

Ed did a great job at installing our security system. I am very pleased with how easy it is to use and even the phone app is easy to use. Alexa is very neat and I am glad that you guys now can install them to work with the security systems.

I called your Customer Support number, waited on hold for 6+ minutes for a person to help me. When I requested that an alarm cert be provided to me, I was told that would require an in-home inspection. Seriously, I pay $41/month and you need to do an in-home inspection to confirm that you are monitoring my home??? This is a very poorly veiled sales attempt, once again, to get into my home to sell me more service. I was then told that I can access the Alarm cert online. Now the catch, I don't know my account number to register my account so I can access this certificate.

Very impressed with our service so far but more from our sales representative, Daryle **. He always goes the extra mile for my businesses and at my home if we need anything. When one of my shops was broken into and (the shop owner) was out of town, my second in command called Daryle immediately because he's our "alarm guy". Not only did he answer the phone in the middle of the night but he came to our place to lend a hand and see if there was anything he could do to help before we opened for business that day. That is service!!

I just want to say that I am very pleased with Vector’s service that they provided me today. The tech Derek came to follow in my sensor that keeps falling off. He screwed it in so it won't fall off again. He also went around to check all the rest to insure that they won't come off. He also checked all of my smoke detectors and changed all the batteries. He was great to do what he did. I hope he is recognized for a job well done.

I've been a long time customer, Vector has always taken care of me in a very short period of time when I needed service. John was very respectful and caring about damage done to my store. John seemed stressed about another service put on him possibly making his work day longer. But John tried not to show it and was smiling and joking with me. John seems to be a very smart and good technician, I hope you keep him with Vector for another 21 years.

We installed our Vector System in 1999 and at this time we are upgrading. Our technician was so considerate and easy to work with. He took his time as he demonstrated the system and explained how to use the app.

Todd the installer did an outstanding job during the install. He was very knowledgeable about the security equipment he installed. He was also very patient with me as I am not very tech savvy. I had an overall great experience with Vector Security. Larry was our technician and he was very polite and courteous. I joked with Larry as soon as he walked through our door asking him, "Did Vector send me the best?" Obviously, they did. We can't say enough about him. My daughter built this home in 2006. She chose Vector Security for its reputation. She was very pleased and continue the service. She and her husband decided they'd like to live in a warmer climate and moved to South Florida. I purchased the home from my daughter so that she could buy a home in Florida. I kept Vector Security because the system works well and when we require service on the plan that my daughter chose there's no charge. Soon after purchasing this property I upgraded to the wireless convenience of being able to control the system from my iPhone. And recently I upgraded again to the VIP service.

Chose Vector because of reputation. All interactions with staff were positive. The main feedback I would give is if additional payments or charges were to be made at a later date that they would be disclosed at initial contract stage.

I reached out to my rep with a concern for my smoke detectors’ age. Frank recommended that it was time to replace the smoke detectors due to their age. I requested Greg who had previously done some work in my home because he was very good. I was not surprised by his knowledge and swift efforts to get my System upgraded so quickly and in such a smooth manner. I highly recommend Vector and my installer Greg to everyone that I run into with security needs.

When I answered the door I was greeted by a nice gentleman, ERIC, who reviewed with me what was being installed today. He also brought Mike along with him. I showed them around the house to show them where they will be working. During this time I was offered other products to make my home safer and they also gave me recommendations about where would be best to install my products. I recently bought a new house and Scott contacted me from a referral that he got from a friend of mine that is a current customer. Service cost is a little high monthly but didn't want the hassle of shopping the different alarm systems available. I'm pleased so far.

We've been using Vector for about 20 years and have been satisfied with their services. Customer service is responsive and the service technicians are friendly and helpful. We are not terribly satisfied with the remote panel however, as it lacks many basic functions.

I opted for Vector Security because of a personal friend that's an employee. I see how well he represents the company and how he cares about his customers. If all employees offer the same level of service then the company is nothing short of the best.

Steve was very courteous. He was very patient, very knowledgeable, have all the tools needed. Didn't take that much time out of our schedule this evening. We would ask for Steve the next time we have any problems with the alarm system.

I'm very dissatisfied with the service with Vector. They charge me $140 for the month and it doesn't make sense why. I've tried to resolve the issue on several occasions and unsuccessful. I will be reporting Vector to the Better Business Bureau.

We have been with the Vector since it was renamed from American Alert. The service and response has been very good. The alarm system was original and installed 25 years ago by us but has been troublesome over the last few years with false alarm drops so I upgraded devices and panel to hopefully eliminate any further issues.

Today's installation with Ian was great. Ian was professional, knowledgeable and considerate to my home. Once I open the door. Typically when service techs come to my home, I ask them to use shoe covers or remove their shoes. Ian had his shoe covers in the head and ready to work. The installation was cleaning and neat. Once he finished, he showed my wife and I how to use the system and cleared up confusion that we had about how we would be contacted by Vector.

There was a problem with a panel and sensors. It was easy to schedule an appointment, the technician arrived on time, was very professional, he fixed all settings for both security panels. The technician fixed the sensors and explained how to do the adjustments for the future.

I have been with Vector Security for almost fifteen years. I would recommend them to a friend or family member. If I have a service problem they come and fix it right away. They are a good company to do business with.

Had to replace a door in our garage - had no idea tampering with camper would go off when alarm was not set in house - learned something new. Had to get adjustment made to new door alarm. Service performed to correct issue - very impressed with technicians service and professionalism.

We bought a new house 2 years ago. Someone did research and found that Vector could service the system that was currently in the house. So we called and set up appoint. Jay ** Is the technician that came out. He was GREAT. Very patient with our many questions. Explained everything very well. We have had him out a few more times for some adjustments and things and we will always request Jay. I even waited on extra day to get him instead of someone else. I have a family member that uses Vector now and will also always request Jay. Very Pleasant to work with him.

This is my second system with Vector Security, and I couldn't be happier. I dealt with Tony ** in advance of moving into my new home. He arranged for the technician Jay to come to my new home before we closed to evaluate my needs for the new system. The whole process was extremely easy and seamless. I have dealt with Jay plenty of times with my old home and was very happy to know that he was going to be the one installing my new system. He is very professional and extremely knowledgeable on the equipment being installed. He has always been very polite, on time, and professional. The pricing couldn't be beat! Ed and Todd were very quick and explained a lot to me. They add the shop system to the home system on my Vector Security which is a nice feature to have. I tell everyone that I know about Vector Security and how nice everyone is that works for them.

We chose Vector because of a referral. We found the sales reps very good, and they installed our systems well and explained everything very well. We asked them to set it up for automatic payment. We received a notification from Vector that our first payment went through successfully. I looked at my Wells Fargo account, and it had not gone through. After that, the nightmare began. I have talked with numerous people at Vector to try to resolve it. I think the wrong account information was initially input, but there wasn't any way of checking that. All information had to be deleted and re-input (many times), and it still said that my information had been deleted, and there was not any new information set up.

I requested an alarm certificate for a customer's insurance policy from Agata. It was sent very quickly and she followed up with a call. A fast reply from Agata that surprised me in a positive way. Thank you and keep it up.

Technician did a great job in troubleshooting and repairing the trouble. Was on time and very professional - very satisfied with his work and technical skills. Very polite and nice to work with. Also took care of our stuff and enjoyed the dog which was very nice of him - he didn't have do that but we appreciated that. Would use him again.

I've had Vector Security since I purchased my house and decided to up my game with cameras. The clarity is AMAZING!! Technician was flawless and thoroughly explained the download options for my phone and walked through switching views as well as the option to install additional cameras.

Staff was informative and very helpful. I am very pleased with today's service and the tech who helped fix our doorbell camera. The camera had been acting up for the past few days, and because we are going away on vacation in the next few days. Vector was able to come out to our home today to help restore our service. My home I moved into has Vector Security. So far it has been a pleasant. Everyone I have talked to in the Vector Security office has been extremely nice and professional. We first heard about VECTOR at a business expo and were impressed it was located near us - not like our then current security company. We have been very pleased with the technician, upkeep, response, etc. of VECTOR. We would definitely refer this company to anyone.

Jessica went above and beyond, got help thru a supervisor to take care of my problem regarding a bill $400 after contract had been canceled. I had spoken with two other reps prior and they couldn't help me. I have been a client for 10 years and glad that bill was voided.

Today's point of service was to address a battery issue in one of my locks. Oral was very helpful and I appreciated him answering all of the additional questions in addition to what the original service call was for. He was also very patient and walked me through several items related to my system to help me adjust. Awesome experience!

Great experience in the past friendly service. Technicians are always helpful. And always knowledgeable. Their service is fast the few times we've had to use them for emergencies as well. Great service, very professional, equally matched all deals. Very happy they both were very helpful in showing how to use door lock. Also installer was very patient in wait for me to get on site. He also was helpful in programming codes for door.

I was unable to save or retrieve video footage from our security cameras. Dave ** walked me through the process including the download for the video viewer I was missing and made sure I was able to retrieve and view the files I needed to save.

We originally chose Vector because they promised us good customer service, prompt service, and a TV when signing up. With that said, we have been experiencing the exact opposite. Customer service has been not been friendly or accommodating to our needs. The amount we are paying for this system is not worth. When the service techs come out they have been the only good thing. They are friendly, helpful, and caring. They seem to adjust or try to fix any problems with the company. As a family, we just feel that we got duped by the company and the only satisfying thing are the service techs.

Very pleased with the the system they installed. We have added to it and now are looking to expand it even further. All of the people are very nice and helpful. My experience with my salesman Tod was and continues to be great. Highly recommend.

We have had Vector in our home and business for several years. They have done CCTV for our business in several locations that we can monitor for a central location which gives us peace of mind. We are having our old system upgraded. The installation of the new system was fine. The tech showed up on time and ready to work. He explained what we was getting and promptly began to work. When he was done he went through the online service and explained all the extras that was available to us.

John was very helpful today. He found programming errors that installer made and fixed them. Walked around house and found security issue with the install and offered to move and install glass break detectors. I found the new glass break was reasonable priced. John was very polite and I would recommend him to anybody.
