The Terminix technician comes and takes care of my house outside mostly. But if I have issues inside, he will come in and take care of that too. He comes out every three months and my last treatment was a couple of weeks ago after the snow. I get the same technician every time. The service he gives me are all preventative and every time, he does a regular inspection.
We love when our customers are satisfied! Thanks for sharing your experience.

Called on Jan 7 to cancel my service. This is for a month to month service. I did not pay for 2 months. I did not receive any treatment for 2 months that I paid. Terminix says I owe them for those 2 months when I never got any confirmation emails that they came and I never called them. I called Feb 7 to cancel my service. Was told my service was cancelled. A few days later they tried to bill me, luckily I didn’t have the money in the bank for them to take. I called that day and again said I had cancelled my service. The person said, "Yes I see here it’s cancelled. I will remove your method of payment." Now it’s Feb 13th and they billed me again, this time the money being taken.
I called and the guy said he put in for my refund, the supervisor approved it but the system won’t allow the refund. He said it was because I owed for 2 months. He admitted that it was many errors on their part that the account was cancelled and the card was removed but something about a delay is my the money was taken out. He admitted it should have never been taken out since it shows no card on file. He said it’s documented the day I called to cancel and the day I removed my debit card. But yet it was still taken out. And the system won’t refund it but it’s been applied to my past balance for services I never received. They took out $59. I want it back.
Rather I owe or not They were not authorized to take it because I canceled my service and removed my card after they tried charging me after I cancelled my service. That’s 2 times they charged me AFTER I canceled my service. They took it without authorization because the guy even admitted he didn’t see my card because it was removed. So how did they take my money then after I cancelled? I reported to BBB.

I subscribed for months and was stood up multiple times—technicians often missed the scheduled time window. One tech was decent, but most were unprofessional. Even after nearly a year, I still have silverfish issues. They advertise quarterly service, but nothing happens unless you schedule it yourself. I never received a full professional inspection of my home; they only came when I personally found pests and called.
One technician didn’t show up at all and falsely marked the visit as completed in their system. I canceled before the quarter ended and confirmed with both customer service and finance that I owed nothing. Months later, I received a bill anyway, which they claimed was undisputable due to their billing cycle. This feels misleading and never-ending. I would not recommend this service. It's a scam to me.

If I could give them a zero, I would. They charged me 1748.00 to come here and set up mouse traps and never even followed up, I had to pay someone else to seal the attic were mice were coming in. The guy came another time and sprayed. They signed me up for a service they violated their contract and I want a refund and they are giving me a hard time about it. I am reporting them to the BBB and the attorney general. They are thieves.

Client Account#: **. Business Complaint – Service and Billing Practices. I enrolled in a monthly pest control service with Terminix. Despite this, service was not provided automatically. I was repeatedly informed that a technician would only be dispatched if I called when pest activity was severe, which is inconsistent with a monthly service agreement. When service was requested, the technician appeared rushed and visibly frustrated, expressing annoyance that the visit had been scheduled. The quality of service was poor and did not meet reasonable expectations. After several months, my wife contacted Terminix to cancel the service. No further service visits occurred after October. However, in January, I received a $114 bill that had been sent to collections, despite no services being rendered during the intervening months.
Upon contacting Terminix, I was informed that the cancellation was allegedly invalid because there were no internal notes documenting it. I was further told I was responsible for charges for months following the last service visit, even though no service was performed. Terminix stated that the local branch declined the dispute and demanded payment, offering no resolution. Customer service representatives were unprofessional and dismissive, particularly when discussing cancellation. It was evident that representatives were following a retention script designed to resist cancellations rather than resolve customer concerns. I am disputing the charges for services not provided and object to the account being sent to collections without proper verification. Terminix’s billing and cancellation practices appear misleading and unfair, placing the burden on the customer when internal documentation is incomplete.

We recently ended our contract with Terminix. We were going to paint the exterior of our house and when walking around with the painter, we noticed some termite damage. The damage was on the second story soffit over a small tiled garage roof extension. I got up there and realized it was quite extensive after digging around a bit (see photos). I saw a live termite then called Terminix, a company that we had been with for a while. They told us that they can't do anything unless we have a video of a live termite. I tried digging around but was unable to get a video. It's difficult to dig around holding a camera on a tile roof. They said that they would send someone out. After he got here he said that he wasn't going to get on the roof and they would send another person out that can stand on the roof. The next person came out and stuck a ladder against the second story roof and tried to take pictures. What he was doing looked pretty useless.
We called the company back and they said they couldn't do anything. Mind you, we had paid our contracts for years (probably thousands of dollars) and this was not the service we expected. We immediately canceled the contract. I treated the area myself and patched it before painting but was furious at this company. Stay away from them, they are useless when you need them. Just so you know, we didn't start out with this company and the original company (which was very good) had been bought out by Terminix.

This company is horrible, despite the fact that the individual customer service representatives are polite and professional. Unfortunately, the way Terminix operates makes it an extremely frustrating company to deal with. First, billing is a mess. If you call in, you are often offered a lower price than what appears on the invoice, which shows how inconsistent and inflated their pricing is. They constantly push autopay, additional services, or paying a full year upfront with “discounts” (for example, $200 off), which only highlights how much they overprice services to begin with. I do not want to prepay for services I haven’t yet received.
Second, the constant calls and letters are excessive. I receive repeated calls trying to upsell more services, and I’ve received letters stating my account is overdue and headed to collections before I’ve even received the monthly invoice. This is stressful and completely unacceptable. The worst part, however, is how difficult they make it to cancel. I spent over 30 minutes on the phone just trying to terminate service, giving all my information, only to be told I had to be transferred again to another department. When you try to cancel, you are forced to listen to additional sales pitches and retention offers. It’s clear that customer service representatives are required to follow a scripted process before cancellation, which feels less like customer service and more like harassment of customers who are simply trying to end service.
On top of that, Terminix uses bait station retrieval as another delay tactic, claiming cancellation cannot be finalized until an appointment is scheduled to remove equipment. This adds another layer of inconvenience and creates unnecessary delays, during which billing can continue. There are literally hundreds of pest control companies that do not operate this way. Do yourself a favor and choose anyone but Terminix.

10+years customer of Terminix in Pittsburgh. Recently retired & relocated to Florida. I contacted Terminix to start service, which I now regret. They sold me a bundle package I didn’t need. The majority of the bundle package expense was for termites. I have a block house, with one tree, no wood. I feel so foolish, and taken advantage of, as I am a senior. They pressure and breakdown your resistance. They didn’t provide a written contract. The terms were to be read and signed on their small digital display. I do not have 20/15 vision and wasn’t able to read it. To my surprise, the cost of the services was comparable to car payment! I tried to cancel the service only to be informed the contract cannot be cancelled for a full year!
Moreover, when I moved from Pittsburgh I canceled my service when I sold my home. Then I moved to Florida and started new service, I received a bill for nearly $700, which I paid believing it related to my Florida home. My son reviewed the matter and discovered the bill related to alleged services to my Pittsburgh home after moving! Funds were also being auto debited from my credit card for the Florida home. The bills do not include a service address, it’s general and confusing. I contacted customer service requesting the return of the funds.
After many calls. after many months Terminix refuses to return the $700.00 they are not entitled to. Each customer service representative gave a different excuse… one claiming they didn’t receive the funds, a second representative claimed the check was not cashed, another said the funds were returned. And the list goes on. None of this was true. I have the canceled check to prove it. Funds were never returned to me. Frustrated and nowhere to go. I stopped paying my bill to try to recover my funds. In retaliation. Terminix immediately turned me into collections, threatening my impeccable credit rating. As a warning to anyone interested in using Terminix, please consider the above and most importantly the following: one of my technicians informed me certain chemicals are restricted and closely monitored; so the customer will perpetually need pest control services! This is taught in the training of the technicians.

Starting out in 2011 they were great and kept it up but occasionally tried to sell me stuff I really didn’t need e.g. 2 attic exhaust fans for $4,600.00 each. Then it started dropping off their inspections as to termite annual inspections to only outside of the dwelling and not insistent on inside inspection also. They got lazy with rodent control inspections, treatment of the outside but not stressing inside treatment also. Then for the inclusion they missed inside gaps in vanities and house areas interior and exterior areas. Then they continued to send unqualified techs to finish with no tools on their trucks, In 2023 the initial exclusion was told by a supervisor that a ceiling door to the attic was promised and re considered at the exclusion because he couldn’t back up his promises and finally the end of that year scheduled appointments got canceled by Terminix because they didn’t have enough techs to fulfill their appointment promises. Now I have Orkin.

Did not get to the point I had to use them yet, Have a bed bugs problem after an elementary school sleep over of one of my grandkids. Anyway, Terminix employee came over and gave us an estimate of almost $3000 for 3 very small bedrooms and a living room. There is no big time infestation, there was just a head board in a master bedroom that needs to be treated big time. I know and understand that bed bugs eggs can get transferred to the other locations without our knowledge. But it's hard to me to understand that preventive treatment of the rooms that have not been infested costs the same money that of the infested rooms.
It's kinda (according to what Terminix says) once I found a single bed bug I`m doomed to pay several thousand dollars to prevent any future infestation, They don`t give you any positive outcome scenario, they make you scare of everything that crawls. I've had enough of my own brain bugs to make my life miserable in order to fall for that bottomless pit. I'm going to try to get rid of the bugs by myself. Wish me luck.

I would give Terminix 0 stars if possible. Have a service contract for Termites. Have been calling for over 10 days to schedule someone to come out as termite tubes are all over the kitchen walls (where they have treated in the past). They said I am "in the new system" so someone has to call me back to schedule an appointment. I asked for a direct number and they would not give me one. No one called me back so several days later I called them again and after being on hold again because I am "in the other system", they said I had an appointment the next day. No one had called me they set up a random appointment. So I waited at home the next day for 2 1/2 hours, no one came. So I had to go to work.
Called them on the way and they said technician would still come out, but I said I was not home. So they said they would call within 24 hours to schedule an appointment. 3 days later I have a voicemail while I was at work from technician wanting to schedule an appointment. When I got home from work at 9PM there was an email that said he was at the house in the morning, no one was home and the gate was locked! Well that is what happens when you don't schedule an appointment. And the termites are inside so someone has to be home. All this runaround to get out of servicing a contract that I am paying for. Not professional, not acceptable and I will be calling my lawyer in the morning to begin legal proceedings.

Don’t make the mistake of hiring this company. What should have been a simple service call quickly unraveled into a frustrating ordeal I’m still trying to clean up. I contacted Terminix for one specific issue, expecting a straightforward visit. Instead, I discovered they had added an $1,800 contract to my account without a single word of explanation or permission. I never approved it, never signed anything, yet they treated it as if it were completely legitimate. As if that weren’t absurd enough, they also put me on a mosquito control plan—in November, in New Jersey—a time when mosquitoes aren’t even around. Then I found out they had sprayed my organic garden with chemicals without telling me. No heads-up, no chance to move anything, nothing. And after all that, they still never addressed the actual issue I called them for.
They were supposed to come back two weeks later for a follow-up. Instead, they pushed it off for a month, leaving the real problem untouched. I’ve now spent more than five hours on the phone trying to undo a contract I never agreed to and get back money that never should’ve been charged in the first place. The most disappointing part? I still have to hire someone else to actually treat the problem, because Terminix simply didn’t do it. If zero stars were an option, that’s exactly what I’d choose. The whole experience felt careless, misleading, and incredibly frustrating.

I contacted Terminix late Aug with concerns of raccoons on my roof and walls. When scheduling the initial inspection, I should have known it was a scam because they didn’t notify me that they were not arriving. It took about two days of the technician to arrive and during inspection, the technician gave us a quote for 1,400.00 plus tax. We needed to process the payment the following day so the technician had no problem complying with us since he wanted our money. We paid him and he had someone install the trap. He notify us that he would contact us in a couple weeks to remove the trap. We have not heard from him since. We tried calling him to discovered his number was not active. I have been calling the customer care number every week to have someone come to my home to remove the trap and they are constantly telling me “you will hear someone 24-48 hours”.
I finally heard back from a man name Bill from “my branch” and notify my family that someone would arrive on Wednesday. No one came. I called Bill. Sent him messages. No response. I called back the customer service number and they said they would escalate the matter. I informed them that each contact I’ve made as been “we will escalate the matter”. No one has responded. I inquired for “my branch” location so I can directly speak with someone and they informed me that are not allow to do. They also informed me that they cannot give me my money back but they can provide me “10 credit”.
I had such high hopes for this agency due to the reviews, but I guess I fell into a scam. I expressed feeling scammed to the customer service representative and she did not reassure me it’s not a scam. I would not trust this agency. I still have a trap on my roof and have no one available to remove it. Now my roof is damage because this agency does not office promised services. Stay away from them.

I've had trouble with rats and they did a great job. They came out and took care of everything, but then there was an issue. A rat was still here and chewed out my Comcast and internet line. I called to have somebody come out, and instead of sending the exclusion team, they sent somebody to spray for bugs. Other than that, the service people that have come out here have been very nice. It's the scheduling that's been difficult. Even though I have a contract with them, it's very difficult to get an appointment for the exclusion service, which is completely separate from their spraying for bugs. We schedule a reoccurring visit at the very beginning of our service with Terminix and it has just always been scheduled. We love our bug guy. He’s amazing. He messages me before he shows up. He comes, and he sprays, and then he leaves and we receive a bill. We do the mosquitoes and he doesn't come inside.
However, Terminix’s billing department is very confusing. At the very beginning, we were charged an outrageous amount, and so we had to get a credit on our account. It took us a year to where we didn't have to pay anything because we had been charged so much for two months straight. It happened one other time, but my husband caught it, called, talked to them, and they gave credit on our account right away. They got right back to us and we've gotten through every time. Terminix of Asheboro, NC is the WORST company I have ever dealt with in my entire 71 year life. I have never written a negative review like this in my entire life. I purchased the termite and pest inspection on November 27, 2024 and have had nothing but problems with this company. I paid for a full year of coverage at that time. They treated my home at that time and for a while everything seemed to be OK but that changed to AWFUL quickly. The first problem was the pest inspection as I had covered my home and a large newly constructed building with both pest and termite coverage. The pest control person they sent then told me I did not have coverage on the 44 x 48 building and refused to treat it.
I had to go to their office and take quite a while to get this fixed and they finally agreed and came back and sprayed it. However even with their spraying spiders were still bad, much worse that I had at my previous home using another company. Then things got worse as TERMITES had built a tunnel since the treatment they preformed on November 27th. They only scraped a part of the tunnel of my cleanly painted white basement wall which was very obvious with the updated lighting I had installed. I thought they would treat the portion for termites but they then said they were not active and refused to treat or even remove window seal etc to see if any damage had been done.
On top of that they sent me an invoice for coming to spray for pests on October 31st which was still well within my year. They even said this was done on a Saturday, Nov. 1st and stated their year ran from month to month so I did not even get the year I paid for. They finally admitted that I should not have gotten that invoice but it took a lot of argument on my part to get them to admit that and I still feel cheated as I should have been covered until Nov. 27th. After all of this problem I kindly asked for a refund and nothing they did was satisfactory. Of course they refused. PLEASE DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! I am only writing this hoping it will help someone else to not get involved with this company.
Unfortunately I may be stuck with having to deal with them because of their not treating my entire home and building with the chemicals that other companies use that generally last at least 10 years as they only use the bait stations and if you don't renew with them they want to come back and take them up even though I paid fully in advance for them on the day they did the first work for me. If you deal with other companies that give full treatment there is no way they can come back and take the chemical up so keep that in mind. ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY I have dealt with in my entire life. Stay Away!
