After one year working with Terminix, time frame in which I thought everything agreed from the beginning of the service was covered, especially when explained mice and rats around the house, the representative Called Bill (supposed to be the manager in NJ area) told me, they haven't put any protection for mice and rats out of the house. Mr. Bill explained it at this moment, after one year, he talked about liabilities for these treatments so they never did anything out of the house for mice and rats. I think, if something is proposed and promised and is not achieved as offered, at least must be explained clearly from the beginning, avoiding uncomfortable situations for any customer who put confident to any company work with.

Giving one star only because the tech who came to help was courteous and generally on time. Otherwise I would give them 0 stars. I signed a contract to get rid of a mice problem in my basement. After the initial visit they forgot about me and didn't come out for about 6 months. I finally called them and they blamed it on a scheduling error by the person who sold me the contract. Every time they come to refill the traps with bait, I would find dead mice. After about a year of constantly finding dead mice I decided to investigate where the mice might be coming from. I found not one but two gaping holes near pipes coming into my house. How did the Terminix tech miss this after repeated visits? I don't know.
I had them patch up the holes which greatly reduced the volume of mice coming into the house but it did not eliminate the issue. They tell me that I have a hidden entrance into my basement that they can't locate so it's not something they can resolve. I don't understand how a business that specializes in pest treatments, whose tech missed gaping holes that I had to find myself, use the "hidden entrance" excuse as to why they can't solve my issue. If that's the case, then give me my money back. In short, after more than 2 years and about $4000 spent, I still have the problem I called them to fix. Utterly disappointed and do not recommend. Anyone with basic DIY skills who is willing to do a little research can find a better (and much less expensive) treatment options. I could have easily saved myself well over $3k had I taken the time to figure this out myself.

I hired Terminix with a squirrel problem in Brookfield, Wi. Alex came out and told me 5 traps for 5 days because of the 5 holes they made. Monday Alexis came out and put down 3 traps and I said I suppose to get 5. She said that was overkill. Within the first hour I had 2 squirrels trapped. She came out later and replaced. By the 3rd day she only put down two traps. On Thursday, Brian the manager came out and put out a lot. Friday a little after 7 AM, Alexia came and removed the traps. Paid $1000.00 for 5 days, my calculation is I only received 4. Saturday, I went outside to do gardening, but she forgot one trap which had a squirrel. Called and they said they could come Monday. By then, the squirrel could be dead without food and water. STAY AWAY from this company!!!’

Horrible customer service! I sent written notification to Terminix two times that my father, the homeowner, had passed away. Although I spoke to a customer service rep. in January and sent in written notification in December and January, they still did a service visit in March (which there is actually no proof of since no one was home---dead...). I have spent hours on the phone with customer service and have not been able to get to speak to a supervisor, and they refuse to remove the charge because I wrote to the company instead of calling, even though I did speak to someone in January. Ironically, customer service is very fast to act and escalate things on their end (contact customer in writing and threaten them with a collection agency in writing) when they want payment. Every other company I had to deal with after my father's death was very helpful and compassionate.

This is the worse company ever. I have been with them since 2019 because I don’t have a choice. They do my termite treatment and if ai change it I have to pay another company from the start which is over $1,000. The technicians show to the house for yearly inspection and leave and you get charge later almost $400 but you can see in your camera that they didn’t do the treatment. You contact them but the communication is bad. You schedule appointment for inspection on the attic that should be included and they don’t show up. If you keep your account on file, they will charge you the following year without your permission. Customer support is rude. Please avoid using them.

On 2-16-26 Francisco ** with Terminix came out and said I have a rodent problem and it will require a rodent exclusion to take care of it, I said I have rodents on my $46.01 a month plan already and was told that more was required to take care of the issue. He said they will cover all the holes where rodents can get in and clean the attic, remove the old insulation, and put in new insulation that will help repel rodents. We agreed on $3,900 and I told Francisco that I only wanted exclusion if you did the attic, I have a small attic, and he told me that it was not a problem. They came out in March using chicken wire to cover the holes and placed four traps inside my house.
This was in March. I work a lot so my availability is limited but I have attempted to call Francisco multiple times since March without him returning my calls, I’m on vacation this week so I’ve called him several times this week without him answering or returning my calls, I called my spray tech Pat on Sunday I think and she said she would try to contact him and have him call me about finishing the work and neither one of them contacted me. I called the Terminix office today when I failed to contact Francisco again and Luis finally called me back.
Luis said that he refunded $1,900 to me back in March, which didn’t happen and he told me that upon reflection they decided that they are unable to do the work in my attic after all, but no one decided to tell me and that the chicken wire and the four traps cost me $1,000, I said I told Francisco that the entire deal was contingent on the attic and if he hadn’t told me that the attic was going to be done, then I wouldn’t have gotten the exclusion, Luis said he didn’t know what was said by Francisco, but they aren’t going to do my attic and they will just refund me $1,900.
Terminix does not stand by their work, nor do they care about their customers, I have paid Terminix a lot of money over the years and I’m still paying them a lot of money, and they cannot stand by the promises they make even when they charge exorbitant prices. I do not believe Terminix had any intention of doing the work or refunding me the portion they owe me if I had not called the head office. They didn’t catch any rodents in the traps, there is evidence that I had rodents at one time, but apparently, I didn’t have any when Francisco said I needed the exclusion. Now I feel like I was lied to just to get almost $3,000 from me. Buyers beware if Terminix says you need a product or service, I’d get a 2nd opinion, because I was lied to just to get thousands of dollars from me and the tech that lied to me ducked and dodged me for almost two months instead of coming clean about his lies. They will take your money, and NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY. Their online warranty is very misleading. Paid $4644.99 for my most recent contract with Terminix; and I have had them and paying them for 22 YEARS!!! Tenant claims there was termite activity and Terminix did send out a professional termite inspector that determined there is active drywood termites on 04/11/2026. Terminix is supposedly doing quarterly treatments for 22 years; however, a service technician stated he went out on 04/18/2026 and provided a report that there were no signs of termites. The service technician NEVER went even though he wrote a report stating he was there.
When termites were found, we immediately contacted the main Terminix office on April 16, 2026 who stated that the contract covers fumigation and that the contract has coverage for subterranean termites (TIP) and drywood termites (DIPP). That fumigation is covered. That Terminix would honor their "up to $250,000 repair warranty" and this would be escalated to the branch that services the area. Allow 48 hours for that branch to reach out to us. 5 days later I reach out to the phone number on the bogus report from the technician that lied about going on 04/18/2026, because we never did receive a call, and we were told nothing is covered. No fumigation. No repairs. And they apologize for the technician writing a false report and asked if we wanted to reschedule.
I explain that this isn't what was explained in my conversation with the main office of April 16, 2026. Customer service rep could not, or would not let me speak to anyone above her. Stated she would put in an escalation email for someone to call me in 48 hours. Informed her that no one called the first time when they said I would receive a call within 48 hours. She would not give me any information as to who the local branch was or their contact information. She stated that there were no supervisors or managers to speak with, only her, a customer service rep.
You would think with 22 years of quarterly service, there would be no chance of getting termites, but we did. After 22 years of paying this company, you would think they would honor their online advertising, but they won't. They will not let you get past their customer service rep continuously saying "I completely understand". They will only tell you that they will escalate it to the local branch but will not give you that information. I asked the rep: why am I to believe any call will be returned when that's what was said 5 days ago and never received a call. Why am I to believe when a technician wrote a bogus report. If this service technician wrote a bogus report and never serviced the property, then how many other times was that done. Maybe if Terminix did the job properly we wouldn't have termites today.
We will be filing a complaint with the Department of Business and Professional Regulations. I have attached a photo of the receipt that clearly shows $4400 for tent defend; however, the rep could not tell me what that was. The rep could not tell me the license number for Terminix. Therefore, their 24/7 service is also misleading advertising too.

I had Terminix service for many years; then I sold my house and requested a pro rata refund because I paid for service through July 31, 2026, and sold the house on March 13, 2026. They are dragging their feet about refunding the unused portion of the service contract, an amount I calculated at $138.47. I have called many times and talked to represenatives, and they keep stalling. The last agent told me that although the branch manager's telephone is listed on the Terminix website as (256) 772-6388, that company policy prohibits customers from calling any branch manager. The branch manager has to call the customer.
That is insane, but that is company policy, so now I am waiting for a telephone call from the manager to find out if I can get the refund. Meanwhile, I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Alabama Office of Attorney General, and have written reviews informing readers that Terminix is has the worst customer service division I have ever experienced.

Our experience with Terminix was extremely disappointing due to inconsistent information, incomplete or miscoded services, and poor follow‑through. We were clearly told that certain services would be provided at no cost to correct earlier inspection errors, but we were later billed anyway. When we questioned the charges and pointed out discrepancies in the service records, Terminix accused us of being untruthful rather than addressing the documented issues. Multiple visits were required, yet the agreed scope of work was still not completed as represented. The lack of accountability and unwillingness to resolve clear inconsistencies made this a very frustrating experience.

They came back after that smoked a cigarette and made a phone call and left came back again walked around the house stayed 10 minutes it started raining and left. I called them and called them they finally sent someone out he found mice and a snake in my basement. Said someone would be back out, no one has come and then they cancelled the contract lol.

I had a terrible experience with Terminix Western from the moment my payment was processed. I initially scheduled a termite inspection for my home. The technician found no active termites but noted that the moisture from our landscaping made us prone to them. He recommended installing termite prevention bait stations, which we agreed to, along with their ongoing pest control plan (service every other month).
The communication between the technicians and the office was consistently poor. The first technician claimed he had scheduled a follow-up appointment with me on a date i had picked with him in person and I put it on my calendar. Later on (closer to service date) I received a confirmation email but assumed it matched the date we discussed, so I didn’t think much of it. Turns out, Terminix schedules appointments on their end without properly confirming with the customer. They showed up while no one was home. Even worse, when the pest control technicians did come, they rarely serviced the entire property. On multiple occasions, they only treated the backyard and completely ignored the front of the house — leaving spider webs untouched. They also never applied granules for the ants, despite me specifically mentioning the ant issue multiple times.
The biggest disappointment was the termite bait stations. I paid roughly $2,500 for the service. When I canceled, they informed me that a technician would need to come out to remove the plastic bait stations because they are considered rentals. I essentially paid $2,500 for temporary plastic stations that didn’t even need to be refilled once, only for them to take them back when I canceled less than a year into the plan. This feels like a complete rip-off.
You would expect top-dollar pricing to come with top-notch service, but this was borderline deceptive. I’m disappointed in both the company and myself for falling for it. Do yourself a favor and skip Terminix. Save yourself thousands by going to Home Depot, buying quality pesticides, and handling it yourself. Not worth the headache or the money.

I called Terminix for a rodent problem we had inside. The gentleman that came the first day told me it would cost $21,000 but he could lower it to $13,000 because they had to replace the insulation in the attic and that the rats were eating through the wires. The next day, when the men came to do the work, the man told me there was nothing in the attic that it was perfectly fine and so we got stuck with a $13,000 bill and still have rodents. How can I go? I’m not paying this bill?

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I was a loyal customer until they completed an unsolicited inspection and claimed I had subterranean termites- something I later found out I never actually had. At the time, I already had an active drywood termite contract with them. Because of this, my actual drywood termite issue went untreated for an entire year before I realized what had happened. Trying to speak with management has been incredibly frustrating. They don’t provide direct contact information and instead route everything through the main Terminix number, which makes it difficult to get real support, accountability and follow through with complaints. I’m still trying to get my money back after being misled into paying for a service I didn’t need. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience—poor customer service and a lack of transparency.

Can I give a 0 star rating? Well, a 1 star rating is good because I had SOME success with termite control. My biggest concerns are:
2. After paying $600 down and $115/month each month, they literally overcharged my account over $400 twice. YES.... TWICE. The 2nd time they charged it was in response to supposedly correcting the 1st incorrect charge.
3. You have to talk to three different people in order to get services cancelled and they still will not send you a confirmation.
IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS DIFFICULT!!!

This was one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. I paid $5,400+ to Terminix, and after remediation work and vet bills, the total damage is well over $10,000. From the beginning the sales process felt dishonest. Salesperson Wayne ** claimed my home had termite activity and pushed the most expensive service bundle. After the contract was signed, a Terminix technician later told me there was NO termite activity, and a separate home inspection report confirmed the same. In other words, the termite problem used to justify the contract did not exist.
Once you sign, Terminix locks you into a 12-month contract that is extremely difficult to cancel. I spent months repeatedly calling just to stop the renewal. The situation got worse after their work. Terminix installed insulation and applied chemical treatments that made both my dog and me sick. The air quality became so bad that I eventually hired another company to remove all of the insulation Terminix installed and replace it with non-toxic foam insulation. This created thousands of dollars in additional remediation costs.
Another deceptive part of the program is the termite bait system. Terminix installs bait stations but they remain the company’s property. If you cancel service, they remove or disable them. Other pest control companies servicing my properties:• charge about $500 upfront for termite bait systems
• no recurring ownership fees
• the bait stations remain with the house
Terminix instead uses the bait stations as a long-term contract trap. Between the misrepresentation, aggressive sales tactics, health concerns, and extremely difficult cancellation process, this experience was incredibly frustrating. Homeowners should be very cautious before signing anything with Terminix. There are far more transparent pest control companies out there.

More than once, I have worked with the call center (who are very gracious and understanding) and they request a time with the local team that works for me. However, it often doesn’t work for them. Terminix is a commercialized company that is not at all concerned with your pest problem. This has been my experience. To begin, I had to finance a contract through a third party, so that they got paid up front. The contract was for 2 years and within the 2 years they would take care of any wildlife problems. The first several months went well, but after that, I kept getting the runaround. A technician would come, do the assessment, but never follow through with taking care of the pest problem. Needless to say, the issue in which I contracted them for, is now out of control. I've tried contacting corporate, but they have it blocked, so that you are not able to speak with anyone in higher management concerning complaints, which proves that this is a part of their game.
