Seems to be a good company with very pleasant customer service. I have yet had to call for service but the people seem to be very friendly. The price was very reasonable. The whole year paid upfront was a nice discount. I am hoping when I need them they come thru with a quick fix but we shall see.

Great service! I was able to communicate what type of coverage I was looking for and the Select was able to get me a awesome rate. Went with the coverage for 5 years and love that it's transferable to next house! The call was not pushy and allowed for me to explain to my husband what was told to me.

This warranty is a scam. They provide little or no coverage. Local contractors are unqualified. They charge unrealistic high costs. So that even for any little coverage that they may provide, they overcharge. They are not legitimate companies, looking to make a score at every job. Most cases are denied. The ones that are approved will be very small. It won’t even cover a fraction of the charges. All of these companies should be investigated for fraud, that’s the only thing that they offer to people.

I was given the information in a thoughtful manner. I was offered many options and choices in a fair but maybe over insistent manner by a very patient salesperson who really had some problem on letting go the idea that I only wanted a single one year plan, but in all a fine conversation.

They were wonderful helping me with making the right choice as a gift for my clients I give home warranties and the customer service was awesome! Most companies don’t want to help you save money but my representative really cared to help me save more money and she followed up with me showed me more savings for future purchases. I’m happy.

Mark ** answered our call and we were very happy to be speaking with nice sales representative who spoke clearly. Mark was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with explaining the policy benefits. He was patient with answering our multiple questions and made us feel as if we were making the right decision choosing your Home Warranty plan. He also informed me of special offers not listed on the website that brought down my premium to an even better level. Replacing AHS due to excessive price increase. After checking several Home Warranty companies, I found the ABSOLUTE best deal with SELECT HOME WARRANTY. After speaking with Ed **, I got the BEST possible deal over 3 years to include my pool, sump pump, and stand alone freezer than another other company. Best price, amazing customer service. Highly recommend you check this company out.

I am happy with the value of this plan for the money I paid. I think that because I can take this plan with me wherever I move to is a bonus. I also like the benefit of getting a refund for the part of the plan that isn't used if I no longer own my home.

Me and my Husband was very pleased with the customer service and the people that came out and did the job quicker than 24 hours. We wish that it was more things that y'all recover. But had great service with the customer service contacting someone to come out and take care of the situation.

I wanted my policy details, which I've not received till date after I purchased the policy for one year on April 11th 2021. So I have to called the Support number to get my policy details. Now I got the policy details through email. I paid $550 dollars and my start date is May 11th 2021.

The salesperson that I spoke with was very understanding even though we had to reject his offer. We really appreciate his time and effort but the plans he offered and tried to get for us was not in our budget right now. For now we will stick to what we have purchased and will happily renew.

Great interaction with this company. Highly recommended that you look first to Select Home Warranty when you are choosing a home warranty company. I love the coverage options and that the roof leaks are covered. I have used other home warranty companies in the past but believe that Select Home Warranty has the best service and pricing available as well as the best coverage.

I would give this company a Zero star if possible. I had a terrible experience with this company with regards to my Spa heater claim. Their sales reps try to sell warranty with promotions like extra months free, roof leak included etc. But literally they deny any claim that costs more than $150. Their service tech said the Spa repair would cost $1000, but they decided to offer me $150, that's even after I provided evidence that the Spa was serviced for last 3 yrs. Don't even consider them. This company is a fraud. They are low cost because they don't pay for any claims.

I heard about Select Home Warranty in a magazine that rated the five best home warranty companies. It listed Select's customer service as a pro but I was skeptical. I'm happy to say the rep I spoke with, Alan was very pleasant, not pushy and extremely helpful. He even found an offer that turned out to be less expensive than I expected!

Ed was nice to talk to and made the process easy. The Premium plan really is the best offer. Ed mentioned the multi-year payment option. Great option for those to set and forget knowing your home is coverage for repairs. Looking forward to seeing how the service purchased is worth along the way.

Signing up was very easy and the rep was very helpful. Having a home warranty in the past with a different company makes me see how great this one was with just their first call. I would recommend them to anyone. This is a great company and have heard great things.

I was shopping for a new warranty company and Select seems to provide everything we are looking for. Low monthly cost, huge number of technicians and discounts. Much better options than our previous provider. I am currently reading the contract in detail for any negative things that may stand out. The service fee is a little more pricey but I guess it balances out with the low monthly cost. We decided to go with the platinum plan.

I can't speak to anything but the sales cycle but that part was excellent. Phone call while I was still on the page (nice work sales operations for setting that up so seamlessly) and the rep Brandon ** knew his business. Select Home Warranty explanation of coverage benefits/details----Excellent. Options offered--very good. The fact that it is transferrable is nice feature. I feel from everything as it was explained to me will ensure that I have choose the right company.... I hope to never have to use this warranty however if I do I am confident that the service will be excellent.

I’m a new customer and can only speak to the initial signing for the program. The sales person was accommodating and seemed knowledgeable. He did often better discounts with additional features concerning the program. We can only wait to see how the actual service will be if needed in the future. Right now, I feel pretty good about the choice I made!

I just bought the contract so I haven't had any claims experience yet. The salesman I worked with was sharp & very knowledgeable. He guided me to show me how you can get home coverage for just $24 a month if you pay the full amount for a longer time of coverage.

Mo was very articulate and helpful. He seemed like he knew his job. Really liked his attitude. Very helpful. I have not had the opportunity to get a repair service as of yet. So my opinion could change. But I hope not. I would recommend to friends and family. I would say for those of us on limited income to get a longer extension of payments. I called to confirm that I still had an active account with Select Home Warranty. The agent confirmed that I did and provided the account number and instructions on how to file a claim online or immediately by phone. They were prompt and professional. Their prices are better than competitors for similar coverage.

I have to say that I was pretty happy with my new warranty. The agent was knowledgeable, helpful and I did not feel pressured. He listened to me and what I was looking for before he found me a great plan. There were other incentives that was not displayed online and he found them and shared them with me without adding pressure. It was a really good experience since I am leaving my previous provider after 12 years! I feel really good about my decision.

This was easy, and after 3 of the usual "let me talk to my manager to see what I can do" episodes lifted from car salesman techniques, I got a reasonably priced 3 year policy that includes what I need and not what I don't. Hopefully this will be a better experience than my previous company.

I was very happy with the sign up process. The sales representative, Tom, gave me a number of options to choose from and assisted me in making the best program choice. After being a client of AHS for 22 years I was reluctant to make a switch, but after reviewing Select Home Warranty's coverage and value it was a no brainer.

I called about my oven. No one has called me. Not sure how long it will take. I need someone to contact me asap. Very important that I get this done quickly. I have no emails no calls. Seems like they do not care. Very disappointed at the fact that I can’t even get someone to fix my oven even though I pay Over $500 a year for this warranty.

My mortgage fell through and a month later my bank loan fell through. Despite not moving into the house I was charge a deposit fee and a proration fee even though I never owned the house. The contact person was great, but the manager and billing department were inflexible. The contact person found a suitable compromise.

We thought we were getting excellent value when the seller included a year long home warranty on the house. Two months in I’ve had to fix the hvac wiring AND do some ductwork repairs, neither of which have been covered. When I called To discuss the needed ductwork, I was TOLD to schedule the work and have my contractor call when they arrived to DO the work. So I scheduled the $500 appt. they called in and then started doing the work. Halfway through their work, I was informed it wasn’t covered. WHAT?!?! Apparently, the ONLY ductwork covered is reconnection of disconnected (not damaged in any way- just disconnected) ductwork.

The salesperson was helpful and friendly. He helped me get the amount and duration of coverage I was looking for. The price was reasonable. This is my first time purchasing a home repair warranty. I hope repairs aren't needed, but if home repairs are needed hopefully the repair service will be good.

Had no problem getting a order number and being contacted by repair company. Repair company had to come several times to fix problem but had no problem with their schedule to get the job done. All and all was happy with the service. I would recommend the service to anyone.

I called to verify and set up an account. This was easy and efficient. Alan was very helpful and was able to explain to me some benefits of paying for a year upfront vs. monthly. Good experience. I haven't had experience with calling to schedule an appointment but as far as just setting up an account, I was very pleased with the process.

I just begin my home warranty bf everything is going well. They are fast acting and easy to set a claim. I’m a new home owner and I don’t know a lot of things. They are able to explain and solve the issues at hand. I made my first claim over the phone. The wait time was fast and I spoke with someone who did their best at helping solve the issues and explaining.

Sam was the representative I spoke to. He was very professional, answered all of my questions and set up my Home Warranty Contract. I appreciate the follow up, reasonable monthly rate, and multi-year discount and low deductible if a service call is required. A great value for the money & peace of mind that my home is covered!

Website was fairly simple to use and sign up. Customer service representative got paperwork processed quickly and without any further sales pressure. Price is lower than what we were paying. Liked the roof leak option since washer/dryer is on 2nd level of house. Hope if we have to use it service will be good.

The representative I spoke with was informative, helpful, and friendly. They went out of their way to find me discounts to make the policy work for me. I'm so pleased. At first I was unable to afford the original offer, but then we found a way to make something else work. That made my day.

Good Experience. The salesman was good and knowledgeable. He helped us to understand the policy and our options to select the right policy. He also sold us on a 5 year policy and indicated that we can withdraw at any time if we are unhappy and our unused premium will be refunded. It was a good experience. What remains to be seen is our actual experience after we start the policy period.

The platinum warranty is very affordable and offers great coverage, I only wish the phone agent was more knowledgeable and detailed when explaining the policy. I asked whether the policy covers the full cost of repair if an appliance is unable to be fixed and I did not receive a clear answer.

I had a pleasant experience. I was able to file my claim easy, within 24hrs a plumbing company was in contact and scheduled to come. I thought that paying $60 for the service call and that being it was to good to be true. It was. They cover a partial cost for the water heater. Labor is on you. My heater was 10yrs old. They gave me $300 towards a new one. With my six year plan that covered the first year plus. The referred company was great with response and communication. Overall you're not getting free replacement but they will give some. Let's be real.

Please do NOT spend your money with this "Home Warranty" company. As a new customer to Select Home Warranty I am very disappointed and upset that I spent my money purchasing a policy with this company. This company has reimbursement issues, "hidden" probation periods of service, unexpected costs issues, misleading and lack of information when speaking with personnel, as well as poor communication when being transferred to different departments. In any "emergency" repair situation Select Home Warranty is NOT the company to call. Heaven forbid if there is a leak or plumbing issue in your home, you would have an entire swimming pool in your home before Select Home Warranty would send someone over to repair, IF they actually felt like taking the time out of their busy schedules to find a plumbing service nearest to you.

Had a bad experience with American Heritage. They didn't cover anything when I had an issue. They were very expensive and the customer service was not in the USA. I did my homework this time and Select was the best bang for the buck and the rep was from NY so we hit it off. I am hoping this warranty company is legit...stay tune.

Great customer service and willingness to give you the best coverage for your home planning. For 3 years for a gold plan is about $920. Has great plans for first time home buyers and military members. Overall has the best rates and coverage after looking at many of the top ten Home Warranties.

There was no phone call. This was done entirely online. The only glitch was that the service company chose their own time and not one of my preferred times. Had to call the service company to have them change the day. Other than the glitch for scheduling this was a relatively easy process. The only other issue was that scheduling late in the week there was no action on the weekend. If this had been a serious flooding issue that would have been too long a response time.

The customer service aspect of Select in the sales department is relentless. They never quit calling. I had at least 100 calls over a few days. I can only hope that if this is the case if I need to use the warranty.

Representatives were very helpful. The sign up process was very easy. Coverages are great and the service call fees are not too high. I have paid Select Home Warranty close to $1000 for 2 years to keep my "home warranty" active on my new home. I followed my contract's specific instructions to have my Air Conditioner serviced once a year and keep maintenance records. My AC recently stopped working and I called select, they sent out a technician whom I paid $60 for him to diagnose that my compressor was dead. The technician wrote up a diagnosis saying that my compressor was grounded. The next day I received an email from select home warranty denying my claim because they do not cover electrical issues. I then called the same company they sent out and asked them to explain what was wrong with my AC and whether or not it was an actual electrical issue. Per the companies' service manager and the written statement he provided me my compressor was dead and it was not caused by an electrical issue.

Sales automation at fiercest.. Calls emails and text poured in as soon as the inquiry was placed. Took 24 hrs cooling time and the offer was of great value. The human was relatable and in end decided to purchase. Got the platinum 5 yr plan with 1 yr additional. Peace of mind hopefully.

I have had SHW for over a year now and I have not been more dissatisfied with anything in my life. First, SHW does not respect the customers and they do not honor their own response time of 24-48 hours. Sometimes, I would not get a response or a technician assigned for weeks later regardless of the emergency. All you get is an apology with no real resolution. That's if they believe the customer at all. SHW needs to screen their technicians better. One technician fell asleep on the job, three technicians fail to show up, putting my life on hold to meet their four hours window wait time. SHW refuses to give me a refund due to their poor service and their inability to meet my needs or provide professional service. I have reported SHW to the BBB because of their poor service.

Excellent service. Our kitchen sink was clogged up and we had tried to resolved the problem with some drain to no avail. So as soon as we reported the problem to Select Home Warranty and given the nature of the situation I was given a contact plumber Arellano plumber and this company was very accommodating to our time schedule and told us exactly the problem and resolved it. This is the worst warranty company that I have dealt with. First they charge you upfront the full amount and then they tell you that they have to wait for 30 days before coverage begins! So they keep your money & you do not have coverage. No other warranty company I have dealt with does this. Every company I have dealt with will enroll you & give you a policy number, but you can only raise a claim after the activation date (30 days) & they charge you only on the date of activation! Secondly, after submitting a claim, it took more than 20 days to get me a vendor to conduct the service. Not to mention that I had to make multiple phone calls, wait while on hold for hours & not get any explanation for the inordinate delay.

Professional services. I still have a few questions I forgot to ask. Like the discounts. I’m in good hands with this company. Paid up for the year. I hope if anything breaks it is replaced for free outside of the service fee. Mainly the AC. That was one of my unanswered questions I forgot to ask.

I have used a home warranty since purchasing my first home a decade ago. I have switched companies a few times over the years for poor quality, poor contractors, or poor service. I bought my house in August and my realtor negotiated a home warranty for me as part of my closing package. I was excited but didn’t know much about it. All I knew was that if anything broke, I was covered. About a month ago, my hot water heater starts going out. It’s making less and less hot water. I called a plumber that worked with the home warranty and they checked it out. They said they would submit a claim and left. Time goes by and I don’t hear anything. I call the plumber and they said it’s Select’s fault. Meanwhile, my water heater has gotten worse and only produces about a 3 min warm (not hot) shower.... not fun for washing my extra long hair!!

At least three people tried to contact me either by phone or email. To me it showed they were interested in my request and wanted my business. It took a while for me to decide what to do. I called and Richard answered. He was very nice and carefully listened to me. He explained all the options and the cost. I was very happy to do business with him.

Recently purchased a new home- had issues with washer dryer- technician was very knowledgeable and professional- one machine had not been properly maintained while other had a part failure. Select was very responsive and fair in resolving warranty issue. Although we were responsible for unperformed maintenance- the warranty issues were handled fairly and promptly. Also response time from time of first call was excellent.

The ductwork beneath the home become disconnected and the electricity bill had doubled, while the home was not being climate controlled sufficiently. I called Select Home Warranty and was allowed to use a technician of my choosing. The technician had what was needed to repair the unit available in his service vehicle and was able to offer a quote via telephone to Select Home Warranty representative and complete the repair in the same trip. The repair was quick and I was happy to hear that the repair was approved for reimbursement.

I contacted to renew which I was hesitant about because I have had claim issues. I went ahead and renewed and then was sent to another department. Luckily I was assigned to someone who could understand English and is assisting with issues I have had with no communication on a claim that was submitted months ago. The claim is still not settled but I was advised to send in additional information. Time will tell.

Very easy to start the warranty over the phone. All questions were answered by a very friendly agent. Additionally, we were offered a discount that we took advantage of for our annual subscription. So far all is good, I hope, if we need to make a service call, it is as easy as our purchase of the premium and their contractors are top notch.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had the worst experience with this company and their customer service, if you can even call it that. Particularly, Belinda S. and James **, they spoke to me in the most unprofessional way, I was shocked and disgusted. My hope is that the recorded calls are reviewed by someone who values customer service and professionalism because James' tone and comments were unacceptable for supposedly being a supervisor. Communication is awful and your claims don't get resolved, despite multiple attempts to reach someone who can help. I'm not one to post reviews, but I hope I save at least one other person from going through something similar.

Thought I would give the home warranty industry another try with a recent house purchase, but the poor experience remains. It seems to be standard practice in the real estate industry to include home warranties in sales contracts, so I opted to try Select Home Warranty after a poor experience with American Home Shield in 2003. While the sales experience was tolerable, if not borderline pushy (emails were so frequent, I finally sent them all to my spam folder), the real measure of a home warranty is the follow-through when you make a claim. I had two claims, one was approved and one was denied. After the payment was received from the title company, a 30 day buffer period is mandatory by the company.

I notice most of the people giving this company a glowing review have just signed up. Sure their sales reps are nice and professional to get you to purchase a warranty; promise you discounts and get you to pay for years in advance. Just don't try to use the warranty!! I purchased a warranty when googling the company I had used previously and this company came up; after reading the their coverage and speaking with their rep and getting this great deal I stupidly purchased a 3 year warranty and paid $1100 in advance.

We bought an 18 month policy for TWO properties and paid the amount in full!!!! Joke is on us! I now realized after reading IG reviews that we’re screwed. How can Consumer Affairs be in bed with this crooked company. Perhaps Consumer Affairs CAN'T be trusted either and reviews are not objective. Horrible service. Two weeks now trying to get service and they have 10 million excuses similar to other reviews. They also don’t pay the claim timely or fairly or even at all.

Be aware! I signed up for a whole year. 3 months after signing up my heater went. It has two zones and they told me they did not cover that. After filing complaint with BBB they sent somebody out and authorized only $150 in repairs when the total repair was close to 2000. Also the positive reviews I would be very leery of

My experience with getting this policy was very good. The gentleman that helped me was very knowledgeable and helped me receive discounts that would benefit me. He also responded very quickly to my email when I did not receive my policy within the first 2-4 hours. I have now received it.

Alex was very helpful in securing the lowest price for maximum coverage on our new home. We were able to purchase a full year policy for much lower than the competition. We have yet to log an issue because we still need to wait the 30 days, however it was a positive experience.

Only allow payment with credit card. Have not had a claim so no comment on that. Lot of sales hype and pressure to buy. Seems to cover lots of items. Have not read the fine print yet. Will have a better idea when and if we file a claim. Probably a better time to write a review then.

First they don't cover what they refer on the list, because they give you what they want for the appliance that needs to be replace and they don't pay for the service of installing it and you have to pay for the servicemen to tell you it has to be replace, they tell you that the warranty does not cover this and that so you have to pay for everything. This is the worse warranty company I have ever encountered. They find an excuse to not cover any repairs and blame everyone else for delayed response. Also made the mistake for paying for 3 years and they talk me out of canceling stating they will do better but they never do. I have had to pay for all repairs out of pocket. This company is a joke and will cost you more money than just paying for repairs on your own. Do not use.

The water at my house has not worked for approx 3 weeks now. Only response I get is generic email, saying that they can’t put anybody in my area to service the situation. When I signed up for this account they told me they had tons of people in the area for work to be done. Willow is very popular place. I did receive an email telling me that I can take care of myself and then work on getting reimbursed. But nobody in my area is interested in working on something and possibly not getting paid!!

Platinum care program we received a discount and Bruce ** made it so understood everything that we are receiving with warranty. We signed up for the 6 year plan & locked in rates. My daughter has them for her home and highly recommend them to us for our home. They have great service for the policy. Great service for repairs.. Include appliances, well, roof, ac unit, plumbing ductwork, garage door opener, ceilling fans, water heater, etc.

I purchased this home warranty just two days ago. I’ve had the contact them a few a few times but haven’t needed any service yet. The customer service people and the sales staff were very good. They made me feel appreciated. They were able to work with me on the cost. I hope that dealing with them later is as nice as it was this time.

A super friendly Salesperson called me within minutes of requesting more information about what was covered by the Select Home Warranty and was able to answer all my questions with minutes. The person submitting the claim for me was very helpful, considerate and efficient. It took less than 24 hours to receive a follow up call from a person who was equally efficient. I also received an email to follow up on the claim. Within the hour, a company had been dispatched to repair the problem with my washer.

Had a very good experience. Sales rep explained everything that I asked. Made sure all my question were answered and took the time to explain all my questions and was able to get me a good discount on a yearly rate. Will recommend to other people.
