Samsung refrig model rfg298hdrs - Purchased from Lowe’s last year and has been water on the floor ever since ice build-up under freezer draw leaks on floor. I have to chip ice every month or the door won’t shut - out of warranty. I won’t buy another Samsung again.

Samsung RF26V - I bought refrigerator in 2009. The door is rusting, rubber seals are coming off in refrigerator and freezer, leaks water in bottom of refrigerator, and water dispenser leaking. I called Samsung and they said the only way they could help was for me to buy a warranty for $400.00 for one year coverage. They still would not do nothing for the rust coming through the paint. They said it was cosmetic. Do not buy a refrigerator from them because they do not back their product.

We purchased model Rf197ACRS in May 2012. JUNK, JUNK, JUNK. The unit was serviced by Samsung twice, which they deny and cannot seem to find records. The unit was also serviced multiple times by a local repair shop. To get an authorized dealer, it took 17 days. Needles to say, all food was lost and we had to hire a local shop. The unit cost $1,285.00. In the two years, we own it we have spent more than $850.00 in service and parts.
As others have said, Samsung was not reasonable. First, their customer service person who was nice but knew and could do nothing pushed us to the executive customer service department. The representatives were not nice and had no intention of making anything right. Basically out 1 year warranty, too bad. We would need to make another service appointment to have an authorized repair person deem it non-fixable, then they would have to go through their tech service department for further repair. The unit is in a garage not working. They do not care. We had to purchase another refrigerator for our tenants.

Ice maker problems. Ice bin will not come out of the fridge.. Called Samsung... Took info from me... Gave me appliance company that does their warranted work. Fridge is two months old. Appliance company said it will be three weeks till they can come... I tried to thaw, unplugged it for two hours, used a heat gun & fan for to 2 hrs., but no luck!
So we emptied the fridge and will wait a day or so to see if it will come out... Appliance company feels it will happen again... By luck we have a second fridge in the cellar... Way too much aggravation after spending $2600.00 on this unit.. What do folks do who do not have a second fridge? This is the new America. Nothing lasts, way too complicated, and no one who knows how to repair them... Reminds me of the auto companies of the 80's and 90's....

My refrigerator stopped working 10 back. The incompetent engineers could not replace compressor which is under warranty past 10 days. They recorded computer systems with lies to fool the system to avoid create alert on incomplete service request. In my case they falsely written that the refrigerator is repaired as the information is not accessible to customer and however repeated inquiry revealed the secret of their mischief. I am still struggling to get the refrigerator repaired or replaced. You know without refrigerator you can't keep vegetables milk out for 10 days. Beware of Samsung refrigerator and avoid future disappointment. Hopefully it would help at least one more customer that could be you. God bless customer from Samsung.

Our model RF217ACBP refrigerator, purchased from Sears, has worked well except that it has developed a problem with water accumulating in the right crisper drawer. This is a french door model, with a bottom freezer compartment and dual evaporators. I suspect the problem is a plugged or frozen drain, but have not yet located the problem. Other than the fact that we cannot use one of the crisper, the refrigerator works well.

Stay away from Samsung refrigerators, they suck. Talk to appliance sales representatives and appliance repairmen, they will tell you same thing: Samsung is difficult to deal with.
My 5 year old fridge, model #RSG257AARS, freezer section stopped working. This problem started 4.5 years after I purchased this unit. I first sign of problems was when the ice maker stopped making ice. I thought it was a ice maker gone bad problem - INCORRECT, this was the first sign that the freezer section was losing freon. I tried to find a repairman that serviced Samsung products, almost impossible. My appliance repairman (I own several rental units, I have used the same appliance repair guy for 10+ years) told me that Samsung's are hard to work on but not as hard as dealing with the Samsung company. Boy was he right!
6 months later, I finally got a Samsung approved repairman out to diagnosis the problem. The unit needed a $600.00 recharge of the freon system and, due to the delays in finding a qualified repairman, I found myself just outside the actual purchase-receipt-date on the 5 year warranty of the compressor system. Since my unit was technically no longer in warranty, 'there was nothing' Samsung could do for me. I fought the good fight with Samsung and you can read the blow-by-blow description below (My Sad Samsung Story) but the bottom line is that Samsung is way, way too difficult to deal with from a consumer point of view. I think their customer service executives were trained in North Korea. I would avoid these machines and any other Samsung products. They have lost me as a customer. If you do own a Samsung and have any sort of minor problem, call Samsung immediately. Remember to keep your sales receipt. Samsung will not even start a conversation with you unless you have this. The following is an email I sent to 'the office of the president' for Samsung:
My Sad Samsung Story
First off, I own several Samsung phones and televisions. This is a story about the refrigerator I own and how unsupportive Samsung is when you have a problem. This past December/January, my wife and I noticed the ice maker of our Samsung refrigerator was NOT making ice. We then noticed that ice cream was NOT staying frozen. At first, I thought that with the Holidays and the large amount of use the freezer was getting; it might have a problem keeping up. We continued to monitor the performance of our freezer section and it continued to get worse. At this point I pulled out the unit, removed the access panel at the bottom and thoroughly cleaned the fan and coils. Since we have cats and dogs, I have always cleaned behind our refrigerator every 6 months. The refrigerator worked fine for a week but then went back to NOT keeping items frozen or making ice.
With the problem not getting better, we finally started calling appliance service technicians in April. We own several rental properties and every time I have had an appliance problem, I have called a very reliable and trustworthy appliance repairman. He has been working for me for over 10 years. When I called him about my Samsung refrigerator problem, he said he did not work on Samsungs and told me I would have a hard time finding anyone who did. He was right. It took us until May to find someone who agreed to come out and look at the problem but he didn’t make it to our house until June. This guy was from Encore Appliance Repair. While at our home, he spent most of his time on the phone with a Samsung representative trying different diagnostic procedures. They finally agreed that the main circuit board was bad. The board was swapped out a week later and the fridge still didn’t work. Finally got the Encore service man back out and he again spent most of his time on the phone with a Samsung representative. The diagnosis this time was that the Freon needed to be recharged. During the phone conversation, the Samsung representative assured my service man that since my fridge was still under warranty; Samsung would pay to have the unit repaired. I was then instructed to call 1-800-SAMSUNG.
My initial conversation with the Samsung representative, Peter, was that I would need to verify the purchase of this unit. I then proceeded to fax, email and text a copy of my receipt to Samsung. The next day I called Samsung and talked to Franklin, he told me that they had not received anything from me but that if my unit was bought in 2009, it would be covered. He then gave me the number of the certified repairman that Samsung uses in my area. This was the service agency that Samsung was going to use for my warranty repair. Franklin told me it would be quicker for me to make an appointment with this appliance repair service than for him to call and set up an appointment. Golden-in home Service came out to my house on Tuesday, June 23rd and told me that a gasket on a fill valve on my fridge’s compressor had failed and I had lost the Freon charge. Cost for repair was $600.00.
I called Samsung again and relayed this information to Keisha. She told me that Samsung still did not have any verification of my sales receipt and then she transferred me to Bonnie, an executive service representative. Bonnie listened to my tale and asked me to immediately email her my receipt, which I did. Upon examining it, she said that since my receipt was dated 5/7/2009, the 5 year warranty on my fridge’s compressor expired on 5/7/2014 and there was nothing she could do for me.
Needless to say, I was and remain extremely upset. My unit had been failing since December 2013, I finally get in contact with Samsung in June 2014 and they tell me that there is ‘nothing they can do for me’? I may have contacted Samsung shortly after my 5 year warranty expired but I have been actively trying to have this unit fixed since January of this year. It is very upsetting to me that a company, any company, would not stand by a defective product. I remain very upset with Samsung.
The Story Continues…
After I sent the above email to ‘The Office of the President’ for Samsung, I got a phone call from Shawna, a Samsung executive service representative. She listened to my sad tale and asked me some questions concerning what exactly the service technician had told me. It just so happens that the Appliance repair Company, the one I used to diagnose my fridge; called and that morning, about 45 minutes prior to Shawna, and told me that in their opinion, our fridge ‘was not worth fixing’. Keep in mind that this is the company Samsung recommended and told me to use. Ms. Shawna then said she needed to talk this service company, Golden-In-House appliance repair, and verify their findings. She told me that Samsung would either pay for my repairs or credit me a prorated portion of my initial purchase cost. She also promised to call back that same day.
About 6+ hours later, Ms. Shawna called back and told me that since my refrigerator was fixable, Samsung would be willing to pay for the parts to fix it but NOT the labor. The repair quote by Golden-in-Home was for $600.00, mostly labor. I pointed out to Shawna that the repair service had recommended I NOT repair this unit, their direct quote was that it was that ‘it was not worth it’ to repair this fridge. Shawna argued that the unit could be repaired, if we were willing to pay for the repair. I told her that my household had been turned upside down long enough with this problem and we wanted to get a new fridge. I told her I wanted to have Samsung prorate the purchase price of my fridge. She said Samsung would not ‘buy back’ this defective fridge until I had tried to repair it. Shawna said she could submit a request for a buy back to her boss but it would be turned down. I then realized that Shawna had no power to resolve my situation. I told her that I was very upset with Samsung and that they would be losing a customer. She acknowledged that this was an unfortunate situation for me and then she asked, “Is there anything else I could help me with today”? I didn’t bother to point out the fact that she hadn’t helped in the first place.
Conclusion: Stay away from Samsung. They don’t know the first thing about making the customer happy or honoring their warranties.

I purchased a new Samsung refrig 267 that has had a few service issues. The ice maker is very noisy and does not work smoothly, but the largest issue is the cooling system that leaks water and freezes under the cool pantry drawer. I had an authorized service agent come to fix the problem, but after an hour and a service charge, he said it was not repairable. Samsung will not stand behind the product and would not help in any way. Due the fact that they have thousands of unhappy product owners, I would hope that they would take responsibility and own up, even if it takes replacing the product at no charge. I understand the later models have new technology that eliminates the problem that thousands of current owners are stuck with.

My elderly parents bought this refrigerator and after thirteen months began having issues. They would send someone out but it would be 2 weeks. I told them of their health issues, my dad is a heart patient and diabetic and we really needed something pretty quick. I was also told from customer service you should always have a back up refrigerator. I asked, "Who could afford two refrigerators, and where would you put two?" The tone got worse and then I was just pretty much angered with his non-caring attitude. Not to mention that only very few technicians are certified to do a service call.
I called Sears and they generously offered 3 days sooner. Very honest and tried to offer other options to try such as unplugging the unit for 2 days in case it had froze up, before spending money my parents did not have on their fixed income. We were never told to try anything from Samsung, to maybe save the expense to a sick, elderly couple. I was told that the minimum amount would be around $685.00 for the visit. Needless to say, we took his advice to unplug the unit for 2 days then restart. At least Sears tried to offer an alternative for us. Have lost food/beverages twice, still no refrigerator/ice maker, etc. Enough air flowing to not be eligible for warranty for a big part such as compressor, etc. Will probably be replaced ASAP b/c that is more than half the price it cost to begin with.
After two weeks, they are living from a dorm size refrigerator and a Yeti cooler for ice. With their customer service, me along with my parents are done with Samsung. Sad to say on reviews on this particular type, they are messing up at about the 13-month mark. There is no excuse for a nice, new refrigerator to tear up with barely over a year of use. Never again! Very frustrated, not to mention the anguish my parents are going through. When you buy something that expensive, you expect it to last a while. I have had my Kenmore side-by-side for almost 20 years so we have learned a lesson. But the main lesson is all about the attitude you give the person on the other end of that phone. Try to be a little sympathetic to an elderly person's situation Samsung! Going to try to find another one after their check comes the first of the month. Another several days.

I bought the Samsung refrigerator model RB195ACPN in August of 2012. I noticed water in the right vegetable crisper around February of 2014, less than 2 years old. I wiped it out and thought it was the humidity level. Well 5 months later it was still happening and ruining my food in the crisper. Had to have a service guy come out and it was the drain clip. He said that they freeze because the original design isn't long enough. Had to have it upgraded so it doesn't happen again. I'm very unhappy that the design is bad and there wasn't a recall for this.

In October of 2012, we purchased a french door Samsung refrigerator, model #RF263BEAESR from our local appliance store. It worked well for the first year. When it was one month out of warranty, we started having problems with major frost build up in the ice maker, so much so, no ice would drop.
Called Samsung and they told me I had to call a local repair service. I was not satisfied with this since IMHO, a one year old fridge shouldn't be having problems. I wrote an e-mail to the Executive Office of Consumer Support and got a phone call back in days. I explained the situation and told them I would never buy their products again. They offered us a "one time service accommodation". A service tech came out, identified the problem as a problem with some sort of heater unit and replaced it. The fridge worked okay for 4 months and guess what, it's happening again!!!
Called Samsung again and threw another fit and told them it wasn't fixed so they offered yet another "one time service accommodation". This time, they replace the whole front control panel and some sort of heater fan in the ice maker. If these problems persist, I'll be asking for a replacement fridge. FYI, people having problems and your fridge is almost new, DO NOT call a service repair person. Call Samsung and ask to speak to Executive Consumer Affairs. Tell them the problems you're having and your dissatisfaction and ask for a service accommodation, they'll set you up with a service call and you won't have to pay a penny.

Purchased the state of the art Samsung French door refrigerator with all the bells and whistles available. The first 6 months, the motherboard had to be replaced. Within the 1st year, the ice machine and freezer unit iced up so bad we could not get the drawers out of the unit without breaking them. Design flaws is all I read about and Samsung has absolutely NO one that will help. I purchased extended 5 year warranty and thought this was a bit expensive, however, it turned out to be the best thing in my deal as they have spent several thousand dollars in repair services that far exceed the cost of the unit. Now, the problems continue as we have to unplug the unit every month to chip out the ice on the freezer unit, defrost to room temp, and then restart the unit to get another 30 days of use out of it. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG unless you want to experience the worst experience of your life.

We bought this Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF26VABBP 5 years ago. We thought that a Samsung Refrigerator would be reliable. The opposite was true; it needed constant repair. We are replacing it w/another brand today. Here's why: 1. Door seal closing mechanism broke during 1st year (covered under 1 year warranty, but expensive if you have to pay, exceeding $125). 2. Evaporator fan quit 3 years after purchase $233. 3. Ice machine needed replacement 4.5 years after purchase $240. 4. Evaporator fan quit again, less than 5 years after purchase. We are not paying another $240 for this LEMON of a refrigerator~~replacing w/ a competitor's brand today. 5. Ice water dispenser doesn't drain well (minor issue).
TOTAL REPAIR COSTS in 1st 5 years of ownership: $706 + $125. The 5 year warranty only covers SEALED parts. None of the above qualified. I have never known of a refrigerator to fail so completely. Look for a more reliable brand. SAMSUNG FRENCH DOOR REFRIGERATOR was a costly MISTAKE!

I purchased Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RFG297AARS for $2000 on 3/2011. However, I didn't buy the extended protection plan (should have) because I had protection plan with local electric company. I started to have problems in Jun 2013. Water in the bottom of the crisper and the refrigerator/ freezer was not cooling properly. I called to have maintenance done on the unit, and the repairmen told me that all of the defrost circuits and the sealed compressor were working properly and the drain lines were clear. They stated that all of the older and same model of mine had issues on lack of insulation in the box and during summer/high humid months, the unit would not keep up. I contacted Samsung and they never heard of this and would be happy to come out to look at the unit. If it wasn't a compressor issue, I would be charged for the visit.
So we just unplugged the refrigerator and let it thaw out, and after that it worked okay, but not great. Then in Feb 2014, my freezer and refrigerator stopped cooling, so I called up for maintenance and they determined the sealed cooling system was not working and to call Samsung for repair under the 5-yr warranty. I called Samsung and they sent out a repair rep and he came out and said that the compressor/sealed system was not working properly and he would be in 2 weeks. When he came back, he tried everything but he could find the leak and he stated that it was not repairable!! 3 months later, no working refrigerator, just a broken one sitting in the way in my kitchen. Samsung finally decided to buy the unit back, but it would take 15-20 days and would get back to me concerning the removal of the broken one. No check, no email - nothing at all.
Please do not buy this model or from this company. They say they understand what I am going through, but I don't think they do because they would have sent me my check and removed this broken box out of my kitchen so I can buy a new one for my family without a refrigerator.

We contacted Samsung repair and the operator had us hold the phone near the refrigerator so she could hear the noise. "Wow, that doesn't sound right!", she said. Samsung sent a repairman from Willowset TV who arrived 3 hours late. He said the RPMs of the fan were normal but was not competent enough to diagnose the problem. The 6 cooling vents in the refrigerator ice up and the temp is about 50 degrees causing all the food to spoil. I have unplugged it and defrosted it numerous times but within a week or two, it ices up again and all food is lost. I contacted Sears, where we purchased it and asked why they carry and sell a product that is obviously defective. They gave me a number to call for Samsung.
Called them and they said that it was covered by them for 5 years but I would have to pay for the first service call but everything after that was covered. In reading ALL of the complaints online, I learned that to fix the problem was approx $500 and that only lasts for a short time until the problem returns. This Samsung product should be recalled since there are thousands of complaints regarding the same issue. We don't have a lot of money and a refrigerator that is less than 2 years old should not have a problem that is obviously a design flaw that does not have a permanent fix or repair. I have called local repairmen and none of them want to work on it because they know it can't be fixed and do not want to pit their reputation on the line. Model #: RF261BEAEBC/AA (French Door, Freezer on Bottom, NO ice or water dispensers in the door). I have had to call Samsung services and repair four (4) times for my Samsung Refrigerator in the first thirteen (13) months of operation. Every call has been about the ice maker. I escalated this recurring issue to the executive review board (or whatever they call it) stating that I must have a defective refrigerator (or least a defective ice maker). I said they need to address this issue by replacing the whole refrigerator or issue a recall of some parts or something because this is just not acceptable.
The response I got back from Samsung is that this is not cause for any special consideration and that normal repair and service should continue. Their response is what really bothers me. I mean I fully understand that if you make thousands of appliances (or cars or whatever), there will be a couple that will be defective. I have no problem with that - just own up to it and resolve the issue for good. I also understand that no matter how much you test sometimes things can be missed. I have had cars recalled for certain issues, you take your car to the dealer, they resolve the issue (no cost to you) and all is good. I mean it is very weird for them to think that four (4) service requests in first thirteen (13) months of operation is not cause for alarm or at least a closer inspection.
I actually talked to the last repairman that came out to fix the problem. He said that he sees a lot of repairs on certain models of Samsung Refrigerators that was/is related to frozen water line for the ice makers. So much so that Samsung did a recall and replaced the heating element (or whatever) to keep ice from forming in water line to the ice maker. He said it was a different model than mine and hence no recall for my specific model number.
I suspect that this is the issue for me as well, as water is not making it to the ice tray. I could be wrong though and freely admit something else could be the issue. With this type of customer service, it will make me seriously consider any Samsung products in the future. I am not upset so much with an appliance that has issues. Hey, I don't like it and wish otherwise, but the stick-my-head-in-the-sand-and-hope-this-goes-away attitude from Samsung is really bothersome.

Model RF197ACWP - Bought this french door bottom freezer in 2012. We are experiencing the same issues as others with this manufacturer. First there was excess water drainage found below crisper drawers. This weekend, the refrigerator compartment has been increasing temperature while the freezer maintained @ -2F. I have been in the HVAC and Refrigeration industries for 12 years of my career, and suspected an issue with a frozen damper or burnt out circulation fan. After doing a little research on internet, I confirmed a frozen evaporator coil has occurred.
This is not something this manufacturer should have missed if it had done a minimal level of validation testing. Freeze sensors are a simple safeguard that can be included in the system to safeguard, but if the system is designed correctly, a properly sized and charged system should not malfunction like this. Samsung should apologize for producing and offering this as a consumer product.
I am in process of bringing this unit to room ambient to melt the ice dam. Hopefully the evaporater coil nor the fan are damaged. I will add to this report after completion of defrost. I have seen there are several comments towards class action lawsuits. I will see if I can contribute further to this case, and will not consider this manufacturer without full transparency offered from Samsung.

Have had 2 Motherboards in the last year, new fan motor, fan was encased in ice both times and repairman had to thaw it with hairdryer so as not to break the plastic. Was told that when we have a power surge and the temps say 888, hold down the middle buttons on each side of the temp numbers for 15 seconds. That sets the temp again. Now my fridge says 36 degrees but water bottles at the back freeze solid, and also tomatoes in the front. Thank GOD I had the warranty, but I also will never buy Samsung again!

Tried to get unit replaced and Samsung would not respond and delayed fixing until out of warranty. It has never worked correctly. Now I have water/ice under deli drawer and told this is another known problem and a fix has been finally figured out. Out of warranty, so this would be my expense. From what I have read on the internet, I can spend hundreds on repair service and problem will never be fixed. Most people who post suggest dumping the unit and replace it with anything but Samsung. The technicians used my hair dryer to melt ice then left. After several visits, I asked Samsung to replace my refrigerator which had an obvious problem. They did give me one more "free" repair. After that was used, I had to pay out of my pocket. I did BUY an extended warranty thru the repair company. The refrigerator is freezing up again and the technicians can not come out for two weeks. I purchased this Samsung refrigerator (RF217ACPN French door model; bottom freezer drawer) in January of 2014 at Lowe's but did not get the extended warranty. First, there was water in the crisper and not thinking much of it, I would just clean the water up. Then this past Easter weekend, the unit started making an awful noise. Being a holiday weekend, I could not get anyone out to look at the refrigerator. By Monday, the noise had stopped. Then on Mother's day then it stopped cooling but the freezer still works. So I called around locally for a repair person and was informed repeatedly that they would not work on the unit - reasons were no training available or couldn't get parts. I then called Lowe's who in turn tried locating a tech for me several times with no luck. So my next step was to contact Samsung and over a two week period, went through the same thing of setting up repair dates and being called back and cancelled by the service companies.
Finally started with a return authorization this pass Monday with Samsung - a prorated buy back. Only to be called yesterday and told that the buy back was stopped because there was indeed a repair tech in my area that would work on the fridge and Samsung, set it up for next Monday the 9th. Well today, there was a voice mail from the service company saying that they would not work on my unit. So I called Samsung 1-800 number again and informed them of the latest development and ask that the return authorization be restarted. Now, they are saying that they will not do a buy back because the refrigerator is not unrepairable. Well, if no one will repair a broken appliance then in my thinking, it is unrepairable.

We bought our Samsung in 2010 from Sears. Last year (March 2013), we noticed that it was not getting as cold as it should and the motor start making a loud grinding sound. Considering warranty was still in place, we contacted Samsung and they sent out a repair technician. Two young technicians showed up and tinkered with it for about twenty minutes and then told us that it was fixed. While they were having us fill out some paperwork, it started making the sound again. The technicians then began tinkering with it again saying that it sounded like the compressor. The compressor was clearly identified as being covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
When they finished, they said that the issue was that a part of the compressor had been covered in ice which caused the motor to burn out and that because it was just a part of the compressor and not the actual compressor that it was not covered by the warranty. We spoke with the technician's home office and they said the same thing. We contacted Samsung, but they said that the technician's report showed that the part was not covered by the warranty and that it was they would be going by. The technicians told us that there is nothing that we could do to prevent the build up or the damage, but that it was still not covered. As of this morning, the grinding sound has begun again. We will NEVER buy another Samsung.

RF267AEPN French Door Samsung Refrigerator - Nice looking junk! Expensive and poorly made, and Samsung knows it. They should be ashamed. I bought mine from Sears in 2010. Two days ago, I noticed that food in the fridge portion seemed to be spoiling far too fast. Some of the produce and lunch meats needed to be thrown out after only being purchased four days prior. Then today it sounded like the fridge fan was banging against something. I checked the temperature gauges and was shocked to find the fridge was at 53 degrees, even though it was set to 38. The freezer was fine. Set for -2, and maintaining -2.
Then I realized I had a pile of water under the Cool Select Drawer. After cleaning that mess up, I wondered if maybe the water filter had anything to do with it. Since it was time to change it anyway, I started to take out the shelf under the water filter, and found I could not get the shelf out because it was frozen in place. Then I noticed that the entire strip that runs down the center back of the fridge for purposes of shelf height adjustment was completely filled with ice. I could not believe I was seeing this sort of thing on a refrigerator that is only 3 1/2 years old.
So I started researching to see if anyone else has had this problem with these refrigerators and found this site (along with reviews on vendor sites), and found that a class action lawsuit was filed in 2010, and appears to be ongoing. One of the main law firms representing plaintiffs appears to be Cohen, Placitella & Roth, so I will be contacting them to see if it is possible to add more people. Companies should not be allowed to get away with making such inferior product. People simply cannot afford to be replacing major appliances every three years!!

The repair service they contract with is horrible. They lost my information three times and I had to start the process all over again. On the morning of the repair, the repair technician called to tell me they could not do the repair because it requires having the refrigerator unplugged for 24 hours. They don't tell you this 24 hours in advance because they only review the tickets the morning of. So after taking a day off from work or whatever schedule change is necessary, it's a wasted day. Samsung Model RF263AEPN/XAA - Seven (7) weeks ago my refrigerator began not keeping as cold as it should. When I tried to turn down the temperature it would turn down but then immediately return to the same not really cold state it had been working at. Sounded like it should be an easy problem to fix. However, I called several repair places who told me they would not, or could not, work on Samsung refrigerators as they were not made like other refrigerators, were hard to work on, and parts were hard to come by as only one place in the United States carries the parts. I finally found a repair place that came out and replaced some items and charged us hundreds of dollars, however the refrigerator was still not cold. I called again and the repair person returned.
The next time two workers were sent out to look at the refrigerator. On one of the visits I was told me it needed a new green computer board. The repair person ordered the part and came back, only to find that the part sent was not the part that had been requested. This same scenario played out two more times, with today being the last day. I called Samsung and was given the run-around. During today's visit the repair person showed me what had been ordered and the order matched the part number on what he said the refrigerator needed. However, when he showed me the part that had been sent to him, it was the wrong part number. Are Samsung workers so inept at their jobs that the correct part number cannot be sent on three occasions?
I will never again buy any Samsung products. I had to laugh as while I was on hold with Samsung's "customer relations" today, I was put on hold and what did I hear expect that Samsung products are the best. This is a false advertisement to the general consumer. I would urge anyone reading this to NOT BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS for several reasons, e.g. parts are hard to come by due to Samsung not making sure their parts pullers have adequate education to do the job they are hired to do, there is only one provider of Samsung parts in the United States, and the normal repair person cannot repair a Samsung. Tonight, my husband and I will go out and find a new refrigerator and I am sure it will not cost the $2,300 that this Samsung did, and the new refrigerator will be able to be worked on by pretty much any refrigerator repair person. I have an appointment to meet with a Lawyer this afternoon about this whole situation and hopefully that will help to alleviate some of the frustration that I am feeling now.

Sometime later, I started seeing water in my drawers and not thinking to much about it, cleaned it up. All the time wondering and curious where it could be coming from. My problem just spiraled out of control. One day I went to open my fridge drawer and was not able to open either one of them. They were frozen to the bottom of the frig, with at least 21/2 inches if SOLID ICE. I then had to take a chef knife and try to break the ice apart. It was unbelievable. I took some pictures because I couldn't believe it (Unfortunately, they were lost when my phone broke). I cleaned the mess up.
This happened I couldn't tell you how many times. Or how much food had to be thrown out. Then I noticed the freezer was frosting up like one out of the 1970s. I had to unplug my fridge to clean out the freezer. Everything in it was covered with ice. More food ruined. Mind you, this is a frost-free freezer. Right. I have nothing but expense (food), aggravation, and no satisfaction at all. As of today 5/16/2014 my refrigerator is reading 57 degrees. Purchased early 2010, in the first years had to call for service two times. So when close to time when 1 year warranty would be expiring, got a phone call wanting to know if I would like the extended warranty. Usually don't purchase, however with 2 problems early on figured I should. Purchased 2-yr. extended warranty and so glad I did because within that period had two problems per year. When that warranty period was getting close to expiring, I didn't get a phone call or email to get another extended warranty. So I called to purchase another. But guess what, our refrigerator wasn't eligible? Would't tell me or my husband why not? But pretty much figured it out that they knew we had a lemon and didn't want to offer us a warranty anymore.
However, between my husband and myself calling and talking to multiple people, we finally got the right person and she authorized us purchasing a second extended warranty but of course this 2-year warranty was almost double than the previous 2-year warranty purchased. But it was so worth it because we have already had one service call during this period. Wish we would have qualified for a new fridge, but the problems weren't the same within the time frame required to get a new one from Samsung. Moral of story - if you have a problem within 3 to 6 months of purchase, you are probably in for more issues. Keep good records. You might qualify for new one from Samsung. So to recap... Purchased in 2010 and have had 8 service calls, 2 extended warranties. Will not purchase another extended warranty and if it has an issue again after current extended warranty expires, we will most definitely chuck it.

I built my house in 2008 and purchased all Samsung kitchen appliances. All of my items were purchased from Lowe's and their customer service was great. To start with the dishwasher never worked at all. An error code flashed from the moment it was installed so Lowe's replaced it with the upgraded model. After 2 months it started flashing a code that meant it detected a water leak. I had repair guys come out 3 times to inspect it, replace sensors and other various parts and it still continues to periodically stop working and flash that code. Samsung is even stumped at why it continues to do this. Next is the above range microwave which has been replaced after only having it 3 years. It was repaired twice and under the warranty was replaced.
The new one had is own issues too. Sometimes after closing the door it will automatically turn on and you have to lift up on the handle to get it to stop. Next is the stove. It's a glass top and one of the heating elements went bad after 4 years. The oven light is also glitchy. Sometimes it will flicker on and off when I'm baking something. Last but not least is the refrigerator. It's a french door bottom freezer with ice maker and water dispenser. I am so angry with this appliance. It had been repaired the most (5 times under warranty) and still has the same issues. It has the famous leaking water that accumulates in and under the crisper drawers. Samsung refuses to pay for repair even though original chat transcript with Samsung Support inferred they will stand behind their product, after creating a ticket for me even though the fridge was out of warranty.
Problem Description: Fridge coils freezing up, causing fan to rub on ice making a loud noise. Defrosted it multiple times, problem comes back within a week or 2. A&E Services wanting to charge $361 for the repair of what they claim is a $12 sensor. A&E Factory Services tech also told me that this is the cause of 90% of the problems reported regarding Samsung refrigerators.
My guess... A&E and any other Samsung Authorized Service Center is being paid off by Samsung to cover-up the actual fault, which may lie with the evaporator, as if the water is drained/evaporated correctly, should not build up as ice on the coils, in my unprofessional opinion. Keep in mind, the evaporator is covered under the Samsung 5-year warranty, but the $12 sensor is not, and their repair techs will charge you out the *you know what* ($360) to replace it. I will never buy another Samsung device as long as I live, and I will steer all my friends and family away from them.

Lost track of the countless times we called up the Service Center, Samsung main office & SM Appliance NE-The Block, not to mention my personal appearances to personally lodge my complaints, but until now Samsung Ref. remains a trash. The floodings in our floor after sometime every time it is plugged, the money put to waste for spoiled foods, the days I have to go on leave or the days my nephew have to absent himself from school waiting for the technician to come, the emotional stress this ref. had brought the entire family esp. to me & my husband abroad who had been helping me to call Samsung, these among other things brought nightmare to our otherwise peaceful living. In July 2012, we had to buy a new refrigerator because the compressor on the old one died. We usually buy appliances from Best Buy but now appliances have been taken over by Pacific Sales. We got their cheap extended warranty and, to this day, the ice maker has failed to function properly. Warranty was called and out of the 4 times, they paid 3 and the last one I had to fight the warranty company (Warren Tech the worst company to deal with) because I kept saying that the ice maker isn't functioning properly because every month the ice builds up and no ice comes out. Samsung will not even help because the manufacturer's warranty is over and the problem is now the warranty company's problem. If anyone else has had a problem with their Samsung ice maker please tell us what we could do to have the ice maker function the way it should.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator RF263AEBP in 7/2010 from PC Richards. The extend warranty I purchased has ended and the rubber sealant on my doors is just peeling off. I called Samsung to let them know that is not common for a 3 year old refrigerator and was told that the manufacture warranty of one year was over. I told them this is a workmanship issue. You would not expect the rubber sealant to be peeling off for no reason on both my french doors and my freezer. I escalated my call to the Executive Relationship Department and was basically told it was my problem and they could schedule me for an out of warranty appointment that I would have to pay for or I could purchase a Samsung Protection Plus warranty plan that would then cover the repair. I am disgusted with the reply from Samsung. A basically new refrigerator not even four years old should not be coming apart like that especially when it's not an exposed area. I'm writing this review because I suspect that I am not the only one with this issue.

Then TRY to find a repairmen. What a sorry lot. Supposed to come last Thursday, truck broke down. Was rescheduled for Sat. No show. Now they can come Sat. I followed their instructions to the letter, even cancelling the repairman.. What about all my food? Sent me forms, I sent back with photos of some of food on my tiled floor. On repeated phone calls was asked for receipts of food that was spoiled. Well slap me dead, please! Who keeps receipts on food, esp when frozen things could be 3 plus months ago.
I was offered $100.00 compensation. I said that was not good enough. Do you know how expensive meat is? Anyway contacted consumer affairs here in Australia. Then the ice maker didn't give an adequate supply of ice. Apparently, the computer screen/mechanics that controls that was replaced by Samsung. The repairman stated it would need replacing again because the set was all wrong. The ice is not making ice again. It was replaced April 27, 2013.
The make-up of the dispensing controls appears to be set up for failure from the beginning. The ice and water are sort of piggybacked to each other and something within this or the computerized screen will not allow them both to work. So many complaints, really concerned about the integrity of this company. Fall 2013, I noticed the ice maker stopped working and my frozen foods were no longer frozen. Just my luck, I realized my warranty expired 4 months ago. Out of pocket payment to local service guy who informed me that it's a manufacturer’s defect. The computer board for the freezer is defective. There are also issues with a loss of freon, compressor is blocked and defrost issue. They keep referring back to where we purchased the refrigerator and Midway Appliance Company in Victorville, CA keeps referring us back to Samsung.
We are senior citizens and the fridge costs quite a bit of money. We are at a loss. There is definitely something wrong with this refrigerator. Something is faulty with the way it was manufactured. GE Capital where we have it financed has agreed to do a "dispute" for us with Midway Appliance where we bought it. They will not help us either. I contacted Lowe's service and they scheduled a repairman to come out and check the refrigerator. The service guy ordered parts and in a few days, replaced the filter housing and hoses. The ice still tasted bad. I called back to Lowe's service and they schedule the service guy to come back. He replaced the ice maker this time but that still did not correct the taste issue. I called service back and they suggested scheduling the service guy for a 3rd visit even though all the parts had been replaced. This was suppose to trigger an automatic "Cannot be Repaired" process and Lowe's would request a "Return Authorization" from Samsung. First, Samsung refused to revisit the taste issue and also refused to issue a "Return Authorization" number.
More or less, Samsung is saying we're stuck with a refrigerator we can't use the ice from. They did contact me by phone and left a message stating that they were sorry but I had not responded to their offer within the two weeks of it being offered. I won't go into all the details of why that was not true because of the issues that happened but I ended up calling the department back that called me. Samsung Denies Refrigerator Warranty Through Confusion and Delay. Lesson Learned: NEVER Purchase a Samsung Appliance and Expect Them to Uphold the Warranty. Whoever said that Corporations have consciences has never owned a Samsung Refrigerator that failed while under warranty. We had a RF266AEBP refrigerator for 4 years. It had a 5 year warranty on closed system parts such as the compressor. The compressor failed in its fourth year. A nice long life you might say but still under warranty. This failure happened on December 20th 2014. It was not until March 10th when I finally pulled the plug on working with Samsung Executive Customer Service. Their response seemed to be designed to beat me down, tire me out, and leave me wondering and lost. We had 3 service calls over these months and during this entire time our food was on our patio where the temperature would dip well below freezing at night. Here is some of the incompetent mishandling they exhibited:
They sent us a service outfit that was not authorized to do warranty work on their refrigerators. They said at one point that the compressor had a warranty, not the refrigerator. They left me holding on the phone for up to 20 minutes (but would tell me it was going to be 3 min). Said that I would have had to have purchased a warranty at the time of purchase to get coverage. They could not seem to get the magical 7000 number from the service provider. Even after we had 3 service people out, had the compressor replaced and had spent two months without a fridge, they were going to send someone to confirm that it was the compressor issue.
I pulled the plug after 2.5 months when they said it would be another 4 days before we would get the form that we needed to attach the pictures to and send in the Executive Customer Service. AND, that we would need to hold on to the old unit until the inspection, forms and pictures were reviewed and by their Refunds and Exchange Department. At that point we had already ordered a replacement refrigerator. So, if you choose to purchase a Samsung refrigerator, rip up the warranty, assume that it will not be honored. If you do choose to try to get them to stand up for what they promised, be ready for months of delay and misinformation. Very sad, very sad indeed.

Same issue as William. Purchased the RFG298HDRS refrigerator with bottom freezer drawer less than one year ago. Recently, noticed the inside of the freezer and all contents were covered with furry frost. Thought door was left open on accident. Noticed instead that the weatherstripping seal was no longer touching the refrigerator when drawer was closed. Took all contents from freezer. Drawer would still not close all the way. Turns out like William above, 1.5 inches thick-1 inch thick solid sheet of ice covering inside of drawer housing- floor of the freezer housing. Took upper freezer drawer out and was able to remove solid sheet of ice in two pieces from bottom of freezer. Now drawer closes fine.
This is really an unfortunate situation. I think the water that leaked before we noticed the problem, has ruined the floor. (The flooring wasn't my choice, it was here when we bought the place. Not ideal for a kitchen but what can you do?) At any rate, drawer now easily opens and closes. Beginning in Sept. of 2013 we have contacted Samsung customer service 6 times about our fridge leaking water into the (right) vegetable drawer and under the drawers and freezing. 2 problems - the leak and, why is the water freezing when the fridge is set at 38 degrees? Freezing all veggies in the drawer.
Service has to come from Cleveland as no company in the Akron area will touch Samsung appliances. That should have been our first clue! The last service call was 3/04/14 and yesterday, 3/08/14, we had more frozen water in and under the veggies drawers.Customer service persons have been very gracious and helpful. We have had the coils on the back wall replaced 3 times and thawed each time and the drain blown and, guess what? Same results.
We're very, very tired of this problem. We have thrown out more food that's been ruined by sitting in ice water and it's getting expensive. We have told everyone and anyone who will listen NOT to buy Samsung appliances as they are definitely inferior products. We have our third replacement refrigerator from Best Buy, and still have an issue with the ice maker. First were the squeaky wheels on the freezer drawer below, which a subsequent Geek Squad member fixed with Vaseline, Three same issues with the ice maker, which will not make solid cubes, instead it makes a mixture of solid and cracked when set to solid or cracked ice selection. All three refrigerators have had the problem, and all the Geek Squads respond that the Samsungs all have this problem. If that is the case, why have the full cube selector? Thus, while we like the design of the fridge, this annoying feature must be a design flaw. We are going to try an LG, and then go back to our old fridge.

I bought this refrigerator in 2009, and 1 month ago it quit cooling in the refrigerator and the freezer all at once. Got a repairman out to fix it, he said the computer went out. So had to wait almost a month for a new computer board. Finally it came in, he installed it and it still doesn't cool!!!!! So I'm told it can't be fixed, have to buy a new refrigerator. A lot of money to pay for something that's only going to last for 4 and a half years. My daughter has a GE that's about 30 years old that runs like a top! Not happy at all.

My fridge went out on our wedding day (Nov. 2, 2013). It took until Dec 12, 2013 for repairs to be done waiting on part from Samsung. Four and a half weeks later, the fridge went into demo mode again and wouldn't come out of it. Now I am waiting until March 6, 2014 to get repairs done. I understand some of this is because of the scheduling of the extended warranty I bought from the store. I have lost over $900 worth of food and only $400 is being replaced. I have taken off work 4 days now for them to come and look at my fridge or to try and repair it. I contacted Samsung about this and because I didn't purchase the warranty through them and they only offer a year warranty through them when you buy it they won't do anything about all this. A fridge that is less than 2 years old and Samsung doesn't stand behind their product because the extended warranty wasn't bought through them.
I won't buy another Samsung product again. Their Customer Service treated me like I was an idiot to boot because they kept repeating the same thing even though I asked why they wouldn't stand behind their product for more than one year and why their product didn't last more than two years. I am disappointed that I spent $3000+ on an item to have to go through all this and lose so much money!

Samsung RF217 - I purchased this model (32") after installing a 36" Samsung in my mother's house. I was impressed with the larger model and expected similar results. My initial displeasure with this model was only two door shelves are full depth, so you're limited to 2 shelves that measure about 6"x 10" for tall items. The interior shelves have little flexibility and only allow for a maximum height of 9.5", so a lot of my tall items have to lie down (and hopefully don't leak). But my main complaint is one month after the warranty expired (there is 5 years on the refrigeration system), I began noticing water in the produce drawers, a lot. I emptied and cleaned the drawers till today, finally I'd had enough and spent 2 hours melting the ice that blocked the drain tube. Lowe's would not cover the cost of a service call since it was out of warranty and Samsung will not admit they have a design flaw. If you research this problem you will find it is a common occurrence, so I cannot recommend this refrigerator or brand until they remedy my problem.

Samsung refrigerator/freezer RFG298HDRS, 5 years old, was fine for the first 3 years. First noticed freezer drawer was becoming more difficult to pull open. While troubleshooting noticed Ice Buildup under drawer. Temporary resolution was achieved by reaching behind the pulled open drawer (drawer pulled wide open, but NOT removed) and using my fist to pound on the ice, broke it up and removed it by hand. This technique needs to be repeated every 2-3 months. I can tell when it needs to be de-iced by the sound of the drawer rubbing on the accumulated ice, which builds up between the bottom of the drawer and the bottom floor of the freezer compartment.
Currently, my protocol is to: 1. Place a bath towel on the floor, tucked under the front of the refrigerator. 2. Open the drawer fully. 3. Place another towel over the freezer contents to keep them cold. 4. Wait about 5 minutes. 5. Reach in behind the drawer and pound on the ice with an open palm or a closed fist. The thicker ice at the back if the compartment will break up easiest. Swearing does not really speed up the De-Icing. 6. Hand brush the ice forward and out on the towel. 7. The ice toward the front might need a few more minutes to thaw and loosen.
Total time to De-Ice is 10-15 minutes. My best guess is that the problem is a design flaw. Humid air enters the freezer every time the door is opened, collects as frost on the floor, and builds up as any refrigerator without a defrost system will have ice buildup. This guess only explains the "Icing" if the coolant tubing is under the floor and not under the back and sides. I am not happy with this issue, but this makes it just annoying.

My wife bought her new Samsung refrigerator from Lowe's in East Peoria Illinois, (bought 1/3/14 delivered the week of the 13th same month). She was very pleased with them and their delivery personal, very professional. What I can not stand is the very loud banging noise that comes from time to time from this unit. The unit is just over 30 days old and I finally got her to call about this loud noise that continues to come from the unit. From what I could tell from her conversation is, that it's suppose to be normal, and if someone does come out we'll have to pay a service call. I have never heard of having to pay for a service call on anything that is only 30 plus days old. They convinced her to wait awhile since everything else seems to be ok since it is under warranty. At least she agreed with me to contact the sales person she bought it off of to get there thoughts. Unfortunately, they just happened to be off today. But after reading all these reviews, I don't feel to good about our chances.
The one thing I can say is this, if the unit turns out to last for 20+ years like our Whirlpools did, I still would not recommend this product. I just can not stand the loud noises it continually makes, heck it's so loud! It's made me jump on more than one occasion. I included no photos because my problem is with all the noise.

Over this past month, a horrible smell started emitting out of my 2-year-old Samsung French Door refrigerator. It smelled like a petrochemical --- nauseatingly sweet and very very susceptible to becoming airborne and stinking the whole house up. I emptied all the food out and it sat empty for a week and still stunk bad. Wiping it down did not help. The cooling functionality of both the fridge and the freezer parts was fine. I then turned it off for a week while I waited on Samsung to respond to my service call request.
The phone call into Samsung did not go very well at all, with the service representative telling me emphatically that they do not have a 5-year warranty on this refrigerator, even though it is printed in Samsung's manual supplied with the unit. Only when I read the page off to her, did she relent and said that they did have a 5-year warranty, but only on key internal parts -- which I knew and had repeatedly told her. She did not want to schedule me for a diagnostic (which I would still have to pay the $89 basic fee no matter what), because Samsung "does not warranty against odors". Though gritted teeth, I explained 5 times over that I was smelling a chemical smell of degraded plastic or Freon or some structural material... and we needed a service call to get to the root of the matter.
When the Samsung technician arrived and took off the panel at the back inside wall of the refrigerator, where all the control mechanisms are, a black wad of goo tumbled out of the compartment. The technician stated that all of the mechanisms were working great. I pounced on the wad of goo that had bounced to the bottom of the fridge floor. "What's this stuff?" He said it was a type of putty that goes around some of the controls to kind of cushion them. We glanced up at the coils and tubing in the innards of the controls, and I could see where the goo-putty had pulled away from a section leaving behind little remnants. I said to the technician, "what if this happened.... What if the putty, once eroded away, slipped down to where it should not have been and reacted with an electrical heat-emitting part of the control panel, and the heat caused the goo to degrade and become airborne." He thought that intriguing, especially since everything else worked.
The goo smelled bad like the odor... but then again, so had every container of food I had thrown away, the odor was so pervasive. The goo is in a ziploc now, and 3 days after technician, the smell has decreased significantly to just a linger. I am going to wipe it down again and put in baking soda. I think we got this. For clarity, the putty goo was a misshapen lump of coal-black squishy stuff about the size and consistency of a big chewed-up wad of Hubba Bubba bubblegum (dating myself here).

BEST ADVICE WE CAN GIVE IS DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!! Bad design and poor to NO customer service. HERE IS OUR STORY: After 3 months refrigerator stopped cooling. Door said 36 degrees inside was 50 degrees. Called customer service and they said they could not get anyone out for 2 weeks. So milk products spoiled first and then other food stuffs if we did not eat it quickly.
Tech made some sensor repairs which did not fix the problem. Called back in a week and it took a week to get a tech out this time. More repairs and he had to order another part. 2 weeks later tech made final repair and the refrig worked for 6 months and then started to not cool again. We called and said this was the 3rd time it failed and we wanted our money back. Take the refrig and give us our money back. That was Sept 2013. It is now Feb 2014 and have called almost weekly which is a minimum of 30 to 45 min on the phone ea time repeating the same information over and over, sent their required documentation in 2 times and ea time they say it will be reviewed and someone will call.
NO ONE HAS EVER CALLED TO CLOSE THIS OUT!!! Oh, they did a very sneaky trick of not closing the ticket out after each repair, even though they DID DO 3 DIFFERENT REPAIRS. Customer service said that this was in effect only one repair for the same problem, but I watch and I know they did 3 different repairs to try and fix the same problem, not cooling in the freezer and in the refrig part. We have even tried getting the company we bought it from to help but they cannot get SAMSUNG to address it. So we had to buy another refrig in middle of December 2013 and push the junk Samsung one over to the side.

About a month later, the same thing happened. I called technical support and they helped me to get the unit going again. Tonight when I got home from work, the ice machine would not work.
I call support again and spoke to a gentleman that could not be understood. When I figured out that he could not help, I asked to speak to someone else. I got to speak to the 'woman from hell." Even though I told her that my refrigerator was new and that I had taken the extended service agreement, she informed me that I would have to pay someone to repair my refrigerator because I needed to be educated on how to use it. Well, I do know that I should not have to unplug my new refrigerator 3 times in 3 months to keep the digital panel from freezing up. Lowe's told me not to call the technical support number again but to call them directly because I could not count on Samsung to help me with my problem. Just reached the 6th year of owning our Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator RM257ABSH which we paid nearly $3000. A&E (Sears) is the only repair option... I called every repair place and also asked for referrals to repair people they knew. The A&E repairman that found the leak in our coil was very knowledgeable, but the coil I paid for never came in. The appointment date came and went with no phone call.
I called A&E, three or four times before I found out that their parts source no longer carries the coil and they had move my appoint from the 6th to the 20th of February. I called Samsung, since my fridge at this point has been down for 4 weeks and was given Customer Relations... after four business days of going back and forth between A&E and Samsung, I was told that the coil is no longer available and they would have to buy back my fridge.
The A&E repairman during the service call told me coils are the most common problem with refrigerators... which means that when you buy an expensive refrigerator from Samsung, you can't count on them keeping parts past the 5 year warranty. The Customer Relations person told me it was past its 5 year warranty point that they carry parts. They offered me a buy back that is reduced by 10% per year. I could have fixed the fridge for $495, instead I trash a $3000 unit for a few hundred dollars... "What a deal"!!!!!
The total repair cost by A&E was $495.00. I paid $185.00 down for parts and the service call. Now I am out of $1500-2500 for a new fridge and Samsung may give me a small buy back amount! My advice... Never, Never, Never buy a Samsung refrigerator because they may not carry your parts after the warranty. Their fix is to give you a few hundred bucks and send you on your way to your next purchase... which in my case will never be a Samsung!!!

He responded "Well, I can't tell by just looking at it but the compressor began working when I plugged the new one in". Then he said "These sealed systems are so well made, they almost never go bad"! Thus the assumption that it's not the sealed system.
Well 15 hours later (January 10, 2014 at 9 a.m.) refrigerator still not cooling and I called Samsung back. That was ticket #3, I am now on ticket #6 as #4 was cancelled on January 16th, something about after 7 days it has to be cancelled if nothing has happened with the ticket. Ticket #5, well the repairman they assigned this ticket to couldn't come for two weeks. At this point the CSR said, "Let me see if I can request a replacement." I thought, now we are getting somewhere....only to find out 2 days later that this request could be denied and I would have to start all over with a new repair ticket. Also, if you request a replacement you get a pro-rated refund, not replacement value, the refrigerator is still under warranty if it's the sealed system but they only offer you a pro-rated refund!
I'm not sure how Samsung can do this but they are apparently getting away with the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered. 32 days and no refrigerator and medication that requires refrigeration. We have been living out of ice chests for 32 days and counting...

Freezing In Vegetable Bins. As much as I researched this refrigerator, unfortunately, no information was given on this problem. Please publish my experience so another consumer avoids purchasing a Samsung refrigerator. At the present time, I am having the same problem for the 2nd time. Thank God I bought the extended warranty, which I recommend on any appliance in today's world. The first time I experienced this problem, was 13 months after purchasing this Samsung French Door refrigerator. My extended warranty was used because I just missed the 1 yr. warranty that Samsung gives. The problem is: Water and Freezing in the vegetable bins, which is a design error. The repair technician unplugged the drain, which was frozen, cleared ice and flushed drain and added heatprobe.
Now 10 months later, the same problem has occurred. It is obvious, that repair number 1 was a temporary fix, like a band-aid. I called Samsung to find out if this refrigerator has been recalled, and I have been told NO. During this morning's call to the extended warranty company, I was told from the customer service person, that she receives calls all the time for Samsung Refrigerator's. I am so fed up with Samsung. I plan to avoid all their products. In the meantime, I have a refrigerator that is going to need constant repairs to the vegetable bins. I am covered with a 5 yr. full warranty and a 10 yr. compressor warranty, and most likely, will ditch this Samsung Refrigerator once the full warranty expires.

My husband and I purchased this Samsung clunker in 2011. It is bottom freezer type as I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and could no longer manage bending to reach contents. About four months ago, I noticed that the milk was not cold enough to suit me and thus began our ordeal. I can cut out a lot of detail, as it is so very similar to all the other cases, but it concerns the freezing up of the motor and fan in the back. This does not affect the freezer, in our case. The end result so far, (we have another part and new repair company coming in three days), is, after many repair calls, the thing sounds like a B29, but does nothing. I believe, with all my heart, that nothing will come of the "new part", and we will be back in the same mess within a few weeks. The "ringer"really was something that happened early on. I found a guy on YouTube who made a video showing how to take off the back and defrost the darn thing with a hair dryer! I don't understand, though I know nothing about how to proceed with this myself, why this problem is not cause for a class action lawsuit. Samsung seems to be getting away with murder.

My Samsung refrigerator is a a few years old and has had the same problems. I had problems with the leak/icing up under the drink pull out tray also. Now, the power went off in our neighborhood and when it came back on, the control panel only shows 86 88 and it doesn't respond to touch. The door has started to rust below the ice dispenser due to moisture from the small catch tray. This is not my first Samsung appliance either. I threw away a washer & dryer set I bought that had multiple problems after one year. I too will not purchase any appliances from Samsung. The TVs seem to be working fine. I have two Samsung flat panels. I replaced all of my appliances with Maytag and eliminated all my problems.

We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator RS261MDRS Almost 14 months ago. The first one was replaced within a month. The replacement had 4 repairs on it since with the same complaint, which was a very loud knocking noise in the freezer. The explanation was the fan hits the ice build up, which is not supposed to happen. The entire freezer has been rebuilt and the ice is building up again. Which I am sure will result in the same complaint. Mind you, the last repair was done in NOV. Now the module on the front with all the buttons, don't work. Samsung has done nothing but aggravate the customer. They have lousy Customer Service! We were even promised a replacement and they changed their mind and sent out service instead, where he did the same thing all the others did. I am disgusted with them as a company. They "stole" our money by selling us something they do not stand by!

Samsung 1st year warranty service is so far a joke. I called Samsung and they gave me the number of the warranty service contact for "my area" said they would call them and tell them it was urgent. Samsung gave an old number for Service Click and I tracked them down. They were to call in two or three days (thankfully the food is still cold). This is the fourth day so I called them. I was put on hold for 30 minutes, then got a message to leave my number and the nature of the problem and they would call back. This service is 350 miles away in Southern California. We purchased our Fridge 8/20/2012 brand new. In July of 2013 I noticed some water in my vegetable drawer as my bags were wet. Wiped the drawer out. Put vegetables back in. A week later noticed I had water in each drawer. Rewiped both out thinking maybe with the hot weather condensation was forming? A couple weeks later the drawers had water in them again! So I took the drawers out and underneath them in bottom of fridge, was a lot of water and the top had a layer of ice on it?
Got online to get info on what was going on with it. OMG. There was customer after customer complaint on this problem and all of them said it was a design fault, not a defect. They had repairmen come and put a new part in and it would continue to still happen over and over. The part is not defective!!!! It's a faulty design!!!! So we're out $1388.00 dollars? I wish to God I'd of got online before we bought it, as I would of never bought it. It's just like the 55” HD TV I bought for my husband (SAMSUNG). 1 year and 2 days from buying it, the compositor went out and they said SORRY THE WARRANTY IS UP. It cost us $249.00 to have SEARS come fix it. He said it was too small of compositor for that TV - faulty design on SAMSUNG part!
2 years later we were awarded a check for $179.00 for the faulty part. Now this faulty design on this fridge. NEVER, EVER, will we buy anything SAMSUNG AGAIN!!! I hope there is a lawsuit on this too. We can't even sell it as there is no way I'd wish this piece of crap on any one else! If an attorney wants to contact me, they are more than welcome! Can't seem to get any response from SAMSUNG! After waiting on phone so long, or you get disconnected or hung up on? It makes you just madder!

Even the repair man said they have more calls on Samsung than any other fridge. FYI, he said that Whirlpool is the best one to buy. In July 2013, we bought a Samsung 3 door refrigerator with drawer for about $2,000.00. There was a manufacturer's defect in one of the electrical cords attached to the drawer, which was repaired here. In January 2013, the refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling and freezing, so we called HH Gregg and were automatically connected to Samsung. Samsung did not dispatch a repairman, but instead said someone would get back to us. We waited all day as our food began to spoil, and called HH Gregg local number and asked for a store manager. He told us he would send an email to HH Gregg's corporate office, and they would replace the refrigerator, which might take a week, and that another store employee, Beth, would call us back and set us up with a loaner refrigerator.
When Beth did not call, we called her, and she said she had no such authority. I asked to speak to the manager again, and she connected me to Jeff, another person, who informed me that the store does not issue loaners and that there would not be a replacement refrigerator from HH Gregg. We called Samsung several times also, and they continued to say that someone would get back to us in 24 to 48 hours. At this point, we regret dealing with HH Gregg, and we regret buying a Samsung. I definitely do not recommend HH Gregg for any reason, and think people should avoid them entirely.
As to Samsung, I am stuck with a lemon and will have to deal with their impossibly frustrating and slow customer service for the remainder of the time the refrigerator is under warranty. I have read several horror stories about Samsung, including 7 repairs in 4 years, at **. In summation, HH Gregg sells shoddy merchandise. No refrigerator should break twice in the first 7 months of ownership. Furthermore, HH Gregg does not stand behind its merchandise. Even thought we did not buy an extended warranty, they should take the refrigerator back and give us our money back, so we can buy a working refrigerator.

We purchased our Samsung refrigerator in August/September of 2013. Within 2 months, we heard a loud buzzing noise. We did not initially know that it was coming from the fridge so we took apart our house trying to figure out where the noise was coming from and figured out that indeed, it was coming from our new refrigerator. We called for service, which required me to miss work to wait for the repair. The fan was full of ice in the back and the technician had to order some part to replace which did not come until the following week. I had to miss work (again) to get the part installed back in and thought that everything was fine. Nope!
Two months later, the noise is back and louder this time. We called for service again and this time around, the ice situation is horrible in the back of the refrigerator. At this point, I am positive that there is a defect with this product so I requested for an exchange. The rep on the phone keeps telling me that it is their policy to have the technician out there a certain number of times before the exchange can take place. I can generally understand that but if a product had a serious performance issue within the first two months of use and has the same issue despite the fix, shouldn't Samsung stand by their products and remedy the situation for the customers? What about all the food wasted and the time wasted off work for someone to sit at home trying to wait for a service man to come for a new fridge?
There is definitely a temperature issue with the fridge every time the ice forms in the back. Is Samsung going to take responsibility if anyone in my family gets food poisoning from eating food that was not properly refrigerated? This is just not acceptable in my books and I will probably never purchase or recommend a Samsung fridge again. They do not stand behind their products at all. If you sell a lemon, there is a need to refund or exchange the product within a certain time period as a consumer should not be hassled for your product defects.

Discovered the bottom of unit under the freezer door had ice building up underneath it. Busted it up & got it all out, freezer drawer worked perfectly. Few weeks later, it started all over again. Called Lowe's, where it was purchased, & they told me no warranty, as it was now year since purchase date. My argument was that I had not actually had possession of it for a year, only 8 months. Got nowhere with Lowe's, so every few weeks I get on my hands & knees & break all of the ice out of the bottom.
I can't find any water leaks & have no idea where the freezing water comes from. Also want to mention that a piece of the cover for the above ice maker fell off at approx 6 months, and a piece of the bottom ice maker did the same at around a year. Got a great Black Friday price for this $2,800 refrigerator, but I wouldn't give 2 cents for another one!! Our Samsung Refrigerator RF267ABWP is 4.5 years old. We paid over $1,800 for it new. The ice maker recently quit working and then the water dispenser line froze up. We had a Samsung authorized repairman come out to fix the problem. Cost $417.00. We found out that actually, the Main Board had failed and it had apparently caused the ice maker and water line problems. We then found out there is a service bulletin issued via Samsung regarding the Main Board that had to be replaced to fix the problems.
Samsung is obviously aware of the problem or the service bulletin would not be out there. Called Samsung to discuss this issue to see if they might reimburse us for the cost of the defective Board, since their company is aware of the Board problem. Terrible experience and now I know I will never ever purchase another Samsung product. After talking with multiple representatives, being accidentally hung up on, trying to sell me an extended warranty and absolutely refusing to let me speak to anyone in charge, like a supervisor, Samsung just completely ignored what I was telling them and said since our warranty was over, no offer of resolution for me. I purchased a Samsung refrigerator (Model # RF4287HARS, French Door, with the Flex Zone drawer) early Sept 2013. This refrigerator costs me over $2000. After about 2 months, the refrigerator section wouldn't get cold anymore. The digital display read 34 degrees, but I knew it wasn't. After reading up on trouble shooting tips, I unplugged the fridge, waited a few minutes, plugged it back in, then it read 58 degrees. I called for service (a 4 hour window, of course). The technician said it was faulty temperature sensors. He didn't have the parts and said he would have to call it in. It may be up to 3 to 4 weeks to get the parts.
I thought this was ridiculous (and it was just the beginning). I called Samsung headquarters, asked them if they would kindly replace my refrigerator with a new one, since it's only about 2 months old. They said it's "NOT THEIR POLICY". They said if it's fixable, they will get a service technician to fix it. I FLIPPED!!! I told them, "I do not have the luxury to wait 3 to 4 weeks for parts to come in...... I DON'T HAVE A PROPERLY WORKING REFRIGERATOR!!!" Their answer..... it's "NOT OUR POLICY". So I ask that they transfer me to upper management. I spoke to their "Executive Customer Service Relations", told them my situation and my request. Their response was, "IT'S NOT OUR POLICY". These are the most useless customer service department heads I've dealt with.
So I bit the bullet, waited about 2 weeks, parts came in, called for service technician again. They replaced the temperature sensors. I'm thinking, "Whew, I'm glad that's over with." About 2 weeks later, I notice the fridge is not getting cold again. Temperature is reading 48 to 52 degrees. Called for service again, they are going to replace ice maker and heating element. I asked the service repair man, "What is the root of this problem?" He says he doesn't know, just that the fault indicator is telling him to replace these parts. This is where I'm at right now, don't even know if this second service will solve the problem. I'm infuriated at Samsung. How dare they put out a product on the market without conducting extensive tests. Do they realize what a burden they are putting on their customers?
I'm never buying Samsung again, EVER!!! If you work for Samsung (refrigerator designer or customer service), shame on you for all the trouble you put me through. Shame on your POLICY. If you make a faulty product and you know about it, OWN UP TO IT! The customer is always right! MAKE IT RIGHT FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS! Or pretty soon, you will have no more customers.

When we made the appointment with Golden In-Home Service the receptionist told and the repair told us the part that had to be replaced called the Drain Clip known as the D-Clip that from previous models was too small for the coils to work properly. The result is that ice builds up in the freezer and you cannot open the bottom draw easily. It also causes water to form under the refrigerator. It seems that this is the case with my Samsung and the problem was not corrected. I do not think it's fair for me to have to pay $170.00 for a part that has been a problem before. I had a Whirlpool refrigerator for seventeen years and had the repairman there once, and that was towards the last two years, and it was still working when I sold my house.

Freezer stopped working and all food for holiday was ruined as well as party to be held. Contacted Samsung at 1-800-726-7864 Wednesday morning and explained our problem in full. We were told we would receive a call back 24-48 hours for help. Samsung finally called back the following Monday. Samsung stated they would give us a reference number and would be assigning the repair work to USSI who, in turn, would call us back for the service work to be conducted. USSI was then supposed to contact Samsung informing them what parts would be needed to correct the condition with the refrigerator. I asked how would they know what parts to order if they did not have anyone, initially, look at the refrigerator to know exactly what the problem was.
Per USSI, they would call me back when they receive the parts from Samsung. I called Samsung on December 13, 2013 asking what the status was regarding the parts as I had not received a call back from USSI. Samsung representative told me USSI received the parts on December 11th but failed to call letting us know when a technician would come to our house for repair work. On Sunday morning, December 15th, the technician called stating he would be at our house between 3:00 and 5:00 P.M. A little after 3:00 PM, he showed up and replaced two items (Evap cover, Main PCB) and then left. Next morning, the refrigerator had a lower temperature than before and the freezer was not functioning at all. December 16, 2013, I called Samsung back and was put on hold for three times after explaining my problem.
The fourth time I called, I spoke with a woman (Sherry) who informed me that the repair work would be handed over to another company known as All American Appliance at 386-631-0076, who would be calling me back for an appointment. After not receiving a call from All American or Samsung, I called All American to learn my status. A woman informed me that they received information from Samsung but they were not servicing my area. I asked for their location and was told they are located in Daytona Beach, Florida. Next, I informed the woman that their location is 5 miles from my house and would be in their immediate work area. She replied that they could not send anyone out until after the end of the year - December 31, 2013. I called Samsung back and they stated they would be assigning another company but I would not know what company until I get a call back between 24-48 hours.

I purchased my Samsung and the extended warranty. I've had Sears out here 4 times and they called Samsung. The Sear service tech called Samsung and the rep at Samsung said since it's a high volume ice producing unit and the ice sometimes shatters. WTF!!! It produced great ice "cubes" for the first year! I then called Samsung and talk with management. They have agreed to send a tech from Samsung to have a look at no charge. To call this refrigerator a lemon, Sears has to send out a tech out 4 times and order new parts 4 times, so that's 8 visits! I'm now waiting for visit # 5 and need to order parts two more times to get rid of this lemon.
I'm so pissed off at Sears for wasting my time and making me go through a painful process to solve my issue. Don't buy anything from Samsung, because it's junk! I had to replace Samsung Dishwasher after 3 years. Also, read the fine print on the warranty. I'm winning this war and next time they come back, I will say order some parts until I hit their quota. By that time I will have cost them close to $1500 in service calls. I would recommend extended warranty on every dishwasher and refrigerator you buy. I replaced the piece of crap Samsung dishwasher with a Bosch and love it and I purchased a 5-year service agreement.

We have a 3-month old Samsung 32 cf French door refrigerator. From day one, the in-door water dispenser was extremely slow. After about a month, the water coming out the dispenser was down to barely a trickle. (It would take about 10 mins to fill a glass.) When we removed the water filter, the water came out just fine. (Our old GE refrigerator also had a water filter, but the water came out just fine.) The filter also looked perfectly clean. When we would reinstall the filter, the water would be fine for a moment then become a trickle again.
We went online to schedule a service call. After chatting online with Samsung for 25 minutes, we finally were sent a "transaction number" and the (800) number to call. When we called, however, we were informed that the problem was obviously the water filter and we were advised to purchase a new one. When we asked about the 6-month warranty stated on the face of the Samsung filter, we were told that the filters are just "expected" to last for six months but are only warranted for 30 days. (This is directly contrary to the "This filter is warrantied for six months" language printed on the filter.) Samsung then informed us that if we did not wish to purchase a new filter, we would have to call the manufacturer of the filter (apparently the "Samsung" filter is manufactured by someone else) and discuss it with them.
At this rate, we will be paying $600/month just to have water coming out of the door. Given that we paid about $2100 for the refrigerator, the least Samsung could do is stand by their printed warranty. We will never buy another Samsung appliance.

I was told by Samsung that the delivery date had been moved to 12/3/2013 and given no reason for the delay. Later, I received the automated call telling me my new delivery time on 12/3/2013. At 9:30am on 12/3/2013, a representative named Trey from Samsung told me that my unit was damaged and would not be delivered. He would get back with me within 48 hours to let me know my new delivery date. Well, no one called so I called them three days later to find out the status of my delivery.
They said it would be 3/4/2014 before I could get my new fridge. Sorry guys, but no one keeps my money for 3 months with no performance. I will cancel my order on 12/9/2013. Also note that when I place the fridge in my shopping cart on the Home Depot site, it shows an estimated delivery date in January. What's wrong with this picture??? It's a big fat lie. I was repeatedly pulling out sheets of ice. 2 months after the one-yr warranty expired, we woke up to a flood thru our kitchen wall behind the refrigerator to our dining room. $1200.00 in damages we had to pay. Samsung promised they would honor the warranty because it was a continuing problem. After poor customer service, disorganization, and six months of grief, they then said no they would not even cover $400.00 of the damage. We will never buy another Samsung appliance. Very sad. My fridge did the same thing as been reported about these type refrigerators, the back panel freezes in fridge side and stops cooling fridge. After multiple times pulling back panel off and defrosting with a hair dryer, I did all my research online in forums and here was what I did to solve problem. I found out it was a fairly inexpensive defroster type electrical thing that clipped onto the defrost line behind the panel where the fridge side cooled, so I replaced it. When the fridge goes into defrost mode is when the pooling water problem happens, because the drain hole is frozen but if you take a piece of clothes hangar and wrap one end around the defrost line and allow the other end to drop into drain hole, it will heat up and keep drain hole from freezing. It has been working for about 4 years now without any problem, except only produces crushed ice.

I have gotten zero reply except for spam marketing messages, since they now have my email address. We finally called their local authorized service (Asian-owned) and described the problem, and they immediately knew the fix -- a defective water valve on rear of refrigerator. Our Side-by-Side fridge stopped working about a month ago. I called Samsung and they offered me a 1 year warranty (which I thought was odd since the fridge was 4 years old). So I accepted, and they referred me to a local repair shop, A&E Factory Service in San Antonio, TX, which by the way is no good as well! The technician came out and said 4 parts needed to be ordered. Only 2 parts came in. Tech ordered other 2 parts. Only one part came in. I HAD to follow up with the Tech, with his company and with Samsung to get that 4th part ordered! Parts finally came in, and the fridge was "repaired". Following week, fridge is not working again. A&E sends a Sears tech and says compressor is out of refrigerant (possible leak). He fills refrigerant and leaves before the fridge even shows that it is cooling. Fortunately it did. 2 weeks later (which is today 11/13/13), the fridge is not working again.
I call Samsung and get transferred 5 different times because they can't give me a correct department to speak with. In the end, hopefully my fridge gets fixed. I decided to buy a backup the 2nd time around in case this would happen again (which today is the 3rd time). I'm pretty sure they are just going to send another tech who seems like they do not know what they are doing and don't make the effort to ensure the fridge gets fixed for good. SO don't buy a fridge from a company who makes TV's and phones, let's put it that way. The model number of my fridge is #RS277ACBP/XAA. That was $1500 down the drain. Don't let the LED lights fool you in front of the fridge and drag you in because you think it looks fancy. Samsung's warranty is no good, their customer service is no good, and the contractors they send to come "repair" your fridge is no good.

After reading top reviews for the Samsung refrigerators, we purchased a French door stainless steel model through Lowe's with an extended warranty in 2009. On the plus side, we have had no mechanical problems with the fridge to date unlike many of the complaints posted. The problem that we are experiencing is with the incredibly cheap quality of the door shelves/draw slides/draws/and hinged cold storage compartment (in other words all of the interior plastic components). They have literally become incredibly brittle and are cracking and collapsing one by one. I have had to resort to taping up the cracks to avoid them from collapsing at least temporarily.
The plastic is disintegrating - I've never seen anything like this happen and I've owned several refrigerators in the past including a far older refrigerator of different brand that is kept in my garage. This started happening when brand new several years ago when it was still under warranty and continues today, I contacted Lowe's who graciously took parts out of their floor model and replaced some of cracked shelves at no charge. This problem continues to be ongoing and I was told that I should contact Samsung and see if they would replace these so-called "defects" since it was still under warranty. I believe that Lowe's handles the warranty in store for about a year and then you need to contact Samsung customer service for the extended warranty thereafter.
Anyway I did just that and after spending a considerable time on the phone I was told that although it was indeed under warranty these interior parts are not covered, but they would sell me the replacements. Well I don't have to tell you how absurdly expensive they are and I chose not to do so. By the way I was not given any explanation as to why this was happening, nor did they admit that this was an ongoing problem. I hardly think that this issue is exclusive to my refrigerator.
The reason that I am just now logging in a complaint is because the disintegration of the interior parts has gotten so bad that I can no longer just bite my tongue and stay silent - consumers need to know about this. Samsung customer service made no attempt to resolve this situation for its defective/inferior quality of its product. Showing a little customer support would have gone a long way but their indifference in this situation has lost a customer. This company is not consumer friendly and their lack of concern towards a customer especially for a product that I paid extra to extend the warranty is shocking. I would never buy another Samsung appliance again. This company should be ashamed of its customer service.

4 years ago we purchased the Samsung RFG297AAWP from Best Buy and have not been happy with it all. We did buy the extended warranty from Best Buy and have had to use. We have had issues with the ice maker, lettuce and vegetables freezing, milk freezing and now the left door at the bottom is rusting. Best Buy did replace the ice maker. When we asked why so many things in our fridge was freezing, the technician said it was because we should not be placing anything near the back of the fridge because it would block the fresh flow vents. This is crazy because you cannot maximize the space in your fridge. I have to keep items several inches from the back.
Now I am so disappointed to see the rust on the door. The Best Buy technician came out today and said the reason for the rust is because I had the energy turned on and that caused condensation on the inside of the door to run down and into the seams of the door. I think that is just crazy. I have never seen condensation in the fridge and if it was there, why wouldn't the other door rust out as well as I assume condensation would be on both doors. I think there is a leak where the ice maker/water dispenser is. Best Buy said it is not covered under my warranty, but they will go ahead and replace it. This was such an expensive fridge, to be such a lemon. I will never buy another Samsung appliance!

I bought the refrigerator from Lowe's 5/5/09. Lowe's delivered six units before finding one with properly spaced doors. The first indication that I might have purchased a defective product became evident when the ice maker malfunctioned. There was a weekly ice jam inside the compartment. If it wasn't cleared, the ice was no longer dispensed. When kept empty the ice maker worked, dumping ice into the door with sound that could only be likened to that heard at a bowling alley. It would cause me to jump out of bed during the night.
Soon after the jams appeared, I began to find pieces of white plastic in drinks when the ice dispenser was used. Over a year ago I began to see rust coming through the finish around the water/ice dispenser. I notified Samsung early on when the ice maker was jamming up and was told I needed to schedule an appointment for service. Well, forget that! There is no one who services Samsung where I live. Last week the cooler compartment stopped cooling (loud noise for 3 days that goes away when you open the door then it comes back again once you close it). I woke up that morning. It was just not cold inside so I asked my sister to keep an eye on it (don't know what to think of it since I was rushing to go to work).

I went online, tried to chat with the rep Rose and twice as she tries to give me the transaction number, she gets disconnected! Again, she was back after I went searching and gave me a link that won't open up! It was a technical difficulty she said? It seems like SAMSUNG has technical difficulties everywhere!!!
Finally got a young lady on the phone. In short nobody can come until 4 days later so as it was the weekend and my fridge was stocked up with food. I rented another refrigerator from RAC Center. Paid $57.00 for 2 weeks' rent in case... The technician came last Tuesday and we were told it was the fan, packed with ICE and that the SENSOR needed to be replaced. It will cost me $222.00 for the $13.56 sensor and the rest for labor fees!! I was told to call if I start to have food wastage but really that's not what I need! I need them to fix their act and by the reviews and complaints here, it seems that this has been going on with their refrigerators.
SAMSUNG needs to pay back the customers who has to deal with this ridiculous product!!! I cannot afford a new refrigerator right now.
