The quality of RH is nice but not durable. It is a luxury disposable model. For example, we bought Italian hotel satin stitch pillowcases. Within a month of each other, each case ripped across the middle. They are nice while they last but they don’t. We won’t be buying RH anymore.

Beautiful looking furniture but really lacks the quality for the price. I bought a desk and side table in the same antiqued grey oak for my home office and within a year, the finish was wearing off the top of the desk and the table leaving exposed wood. This is with a glass mat protector that covers the work area in front of my computer. I am the only person that uses this desk. I travel and work remotely so it is essentially used only on weekends when I'm home.
We are now left figuring out how to refinish the top of the desk so that it has a matching finish. The touch up pens don't match the finish and I would need a case of them to complete the job. Most of the furniture in my home is high end and we have never had a problem with finishes like this. We are very particular with the care of the items in our home and have really only vacuumed or lightly dusted this furniture. Also, when it was delivered, we paid extra for the white glove delivery. The delivery men placed it in the garage and didn't want to take the time to open the boxes for my inspection until I insisted. Over the years, I have purchased many items from RH but those days are gone. This is unacceptable.

RH delivery service is terrible. They tried to deliver the same bed to me three times at this point and there are issues every single time. Firstly, the bed came with a black mark. One of the delivery guys was trying to clean it and created a bigger stain. Mind you it's a $8000 bed that I waited 6 months for. Another guy came by a couple of says later not even knowing what's the material of the bed and failed to clean it as well. I demanded to get a new bed delivered, waited 3-4 months for it. The day they came everything seemed fine but after they left I noticed they screwed my iphone cable inside the bed!! Like what? Never seen something like that. So this saga continues, waiting on the crew to come back again to reassemble the bed and get the cable out.

Had great experience with RH customer service twice! A real person actually answers the 800 number, US based so no language barrier! Knowledgeable, helpful! A real pleasure to do business with! My first contact was website based, 2nd contact was to help me complete the perfect bridal shower gift! Thank you RH.

Be warned. Most products look amazing in the store. But just wait until you receive them. Almost 9/10 items had issues. Leather chairs were inconsistent in pattern, arrived with scratches and scuffs. Reclaimed oak table took 3 tries to get one that was semi-decent. Staining was inconsistent and often defective. Dining chairs arrived with missing glides. Sofas came with a stain down the side and the color was not sand but yellow. Overpriced. Low Quality.

I purchased a cloud sectional. Cost was over $20K. In less than a year (I was out of the country for five and a half months so not used) the fabric started pilling. I sent pictures to RH. They told me to use a sweater shaver on the fabric. Not the answer I was hoping for. I do not recommend RH.

I’m in RH sitting on an outdoor sofa I would like to purchase for approximately $10,000. They have two models with match chairs and tables but they will not sell them to me. They have them available to look at on the floor but it must go to a warehouse for processing before it can be sold and I cannot attach my name to it. Not only did RH lose a sale they have forever lost a customer. We waited an hour for help, had to ask for help, and she refused to help or find a solution. She agreed finding furniture at another store is a wiser decision. Why spend an extra 5 to 10 thousand for everything here. A waste of our time.

I would never ever buy the smallest thing from this store ever again!!! My fiance and I bought a bedroom set from them in the beginning of March and they scheduled us for delivery on 4/4, They never called to let us know what time will they be here. My finance took the day off and waited for them. When we called to see what time will they be arriving they told us that they weren't going to deliver the bedroom set because it was a big load and they didn't have the truck to do deliver it. Then they said that they can deliver it in 3 weeks!!! Keep in mind we've already been waiting since beginning of march!!! Think twice before you purchase here!!! We also asked for refund and of course they said it'll take 5-7 business days!!! They should be ashamed of themselves for doing this to people.

In my recent interactions with RH’s delivery service, regrettably, I have encountered persistent challenges that have significantly diminished my overall satisfaction. On two separate occasions, despite proactive communication regarding the restricted delivery hours imposed by my condominium, there was a notable failure in aligning the delivery window with this constraint. The initial incident necessitated a rescheduled delivery, causing inconveniences and disruptions. Despite informing customer service of this predicament, a recurrence transpired with the second item, indicating a systemic issue in the internal communication and coordination within the delivery service.
A mitigating factor was a call from a representative named Ryan, who offered apologies and a commitment to rectify the situation promptly. However, the promised follow-up email containing contact information was never received. Furthermore, the subsequent communication from another representative, lacking awareness of my building’s delivery constraints, underscores a fundamental breakdown in internal communication processes. Considering the premium pricing associated with RH products, the observed lapses in coordination and communication are disheartening. The cumulative impact of these experiences has led me to reconsider future engagements with RH, as the established pattern raises concerns about the reliability and professionalism of their delivery services. It is my sincere hope that this feedback contributes to the improvement of their logistical operations for the benefit of future patrons.
The acquisition of my second item from RH, unfortunately, mirrored the prior lack of communication and organizational shortcomings within their delivery services. Despite my proactive efforts to convey the restricted delivery hours imposed by my condominium, the recurrence of scheduling issues led to further delays and complications. The disconcerting pattern of miscommunication and a seeming lack of internal coordination not only persisted but also hindered the timely receipt of the second item. This unfortunate episode further underscores the need for RH to address and rectify the systemic deficiencies within their delivery operations.
As a discerning consumer, the cumulative impact of these experiences has left a lasting impression on my perception of RH's commitment to service excellence. The premium associated with their products demands a commensurate level of proficiency in logistical execution, and the recurrent lapses observed during both deliveries have regrettably fallen short of such expectations. It is with a sense of disappointment that I reflect on these encounters, and it is my sincere hope that RH takes earnest measures to enhance their communication protocols and internal coordination. As a customer who values reliability and efficiency, these incidents have contributed significantly to my decision to refrain from further engagements with RH in the future. I let you know if in their second attempt they will come on time. So disappointing.

I wish to update my previous review regarding my experience with RH. After voicing my concerns about their service and policies, the company reached out and addressed the issues I highlighted. The proactive and customer-focused approach they took to resolve my concerns has significantly improved my perception of the brand.

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your establishment. After investing a substantial amount of over $20,000 in your furniture, I was disheartened by the rigid response to a simple request to upgrade the fabric on a special-order item, even at an additional cost. The inflexible policy requiring payment of half the item's original price for any alterations is not only discouraging but also reflects a prioritization of profit over customer satisfaction and loyalty. Such experiences erode the trust and value we, as customers, seek in a brand, especially one that positions itself at the pinnacle of home furnishings.
I had envisioned Restoration Hardware as my go-to for home decor, but this incident has prompted me to reconsider. Moreover, I feel compelled to share my experience with my network, advising them to be wary of a brand that, in my case, has shown a preferential focus on financial policy over accommodating customer preferences. I strongly urge a reevaluation of your customer service policies to better reflect the values of flexibility and customer satisfaction. Remember, the essence of brand prestige lies not just in the quality of the products but significantly in the empathy and understanding extended to your patrons.

Several Months ago I ordered cushions for Provence Bucket Dining Chairs.. I received the cushions (6) and they are defective in their construction. There are metal loops on the chairs and velcro straps on the cushions to keep them from sliding to the floor every time you sit on them. However, the Velcro straps are way too thick to go through the metal loops. What am I supposed to do? Cut off the straps and pick up the cushion every time I sit in the chair. This is so typical of RH furniture. I have probably spent $40,000 with them through the years and every single product has some problem. Too expensive to have this type of low quality product!

Sometimes orders don't work out, and these folks are so understanding, willing to work with customers, provide refunds, even when you're not technically entitled to one. The lines are always open, barely any wait time. I will be an RH customer for life! Kudos to their management, and of course their designers. They make the most beautiful stuff on earth, and for a reasonable price! I Love RH, and I trust them 100%!

We dropped big $ like $1100 for an outdoor planter, I wasn’t happy when they started powder coating the zinc planters, but I thought they were trying to make sure the planter lasted and held up to the elements. Not the case the powder coated planter sits tucked into a covered porch. No direct rain, snow anything and the powder coating is peeling off and falling off.
We would have happily spent twice the amount we paid, but only for something that we could enjoy for years not a few seasons. I will try to have it painted, structurally it’s fine except the finish flacking off. I love this company's design ideas but think twice before dropping any real money until they get back to the basics of quality and longevity. If I bought this as a disposable item I would not complain. But we didn’t. Sorry RH stock price is fleeting unless the product is quality.

I purchased my 4th Lancaster sofa recently and noticed the back of the sofa appeared scratched, rubbed, and overall poor appearance. My other 3 did not look this way. I have worked with customer relations, Sabrina, who has been nice. RH has delivered a 2nd couch at no cost that was not much better. A 3rd has arrived at the RH warehouse. Customer Relations has went above to try and resolve the sourcing issue that has lowered, in my opinion, the quality of workmanship. Being said, the Scottsdale store sales person was not willing to work beyond the 2nd sofa and told me I should take a refund and return the sofa. I ask Sabrina in customer relations to not have the store call me ever again, but the store did. Poor communication.
Now the delivery; I live in Tucson area so it is out of the way but you pay 300.00$ for “white glove”delivery. It would have been advantageous if the back of the sofa revealed itself the day of delivery, but it wasn’t until the sun was bright that exposed the poor craftsmanship on the waxing of the leather. I also work and the only day given for delivery, is my work day. Again, delivery logistics has been a big issue.
Sabrina tracked the 3rd couch and thought it could get delivered before I had to take leave due to unforeseen circumstance but it seems communication is again poor. Now the 3rd couch will sit in a hot warehouse for 2 months or more just to be damaged and refused so the arduous process starts again. Overall, communication is a huge problem between customer relations, delivery, and store. Craftsmanship and quality of material have declined since 2020. My other 3 Lancaster Brompton leathers did not have this problem. I regret buying most of my home's furniture from RH at this point.

The main reason for 1 star is the value of service and product does not come near the price of the products. One would expect great coordination when furnishing a complete condo with rugs, chairs, tables, sofas, etc. Instead once the agreement was signed the experience went downhill as fast as a bobsled in the Olympics. Products showing up that could not be put together, furniture with bad marks on leather that can not be fixed. Rug pad coming 1 month after living room furniture and 1 month before the actual rug. The fastest thing they did was charge our credit cards 2 months ago with the last item due in October which is the bedframe.
Showrooms are great and the talk is good but the key word is “show” not premium service, not elite coordination, not what one would expect for premium cost and elite pricing. I really believe one can have the same experience or better for half the cost at other places. Leadership needs to fix this or they will soon become another extinct vendor.

Purchased a large nightstand within a year the drawers stopped working. The stain starts wearing off like there is no protective coating. This is the reason why they sell the stain pens and wood filler. Now wood chunks are starting to chip off. Worst piece of furniture I have ever purchased.

Our issues continue to be swept under the table and we were offered a gift card. We are getting passed from design consultant to design consultant and still not able to get our drapery adjusted without extra costs out of our pocket. After our initial drapes were installed (uneven and left wrinkled) we realized the color had an orange 70’s like hue in the sunlight and the majority of the day. Never once was this mentioned before purchasing. We were never told that a liner was recommended with this particular fabric. In the beginning design was never discussed and we were left with drapes that look terrible in our space. These issues should have been addressed before our order was made. I feel like we were not a priority, we were rushed and looked over. This is completely unacceptable and has caused unnecessary stress on our family.

We spend a lot of money trusting in what the salesperson and the way they advertise their famous Claude sectional couch as the best seller and most comfortable product and it’s a total Fraud! Not Claude. It’s not design for humans. After a few minutes seating there you end up with back pain. Also we made the mistake trusting them and we pay extra 14000 USD for leather and its so slippery that you end up on the floor.

A few years ago we purchased the St. James dining table, and immediately had issues upon delivery. One of the leaf inserts had damage on it, however customer service sent someone to touch it up. The service person left a stain pen for any future issues. Shortly thereafter, similar damage began appearing on the main tabletop, which has only gotten worse and worse. I’ve tried touching it up, but not only does the stain color not match the original, but the damaged sections are so large it’s impossible to cover. I have never used any harsh chemical or abrasive cleaner on this table. The care instructions said to use a damp cloth and that’s what we use.
We do not use coasters, but this was not recommended in the care instructions and honestly shouldn’t be expected for a dining table. Nonetheless RH has refused to warrant the table in any way. They will not send someone to repair the finish, and will not exchange the product. The table is only 3 or 4 years old and looks awful. At a minimum I would expect a repair or reimbursement. The stain type and depth should be of higher quality. This table is MUCH too expensive to only last a few years.

I know that people who are unhappy tend to write reviews, but I'm amazed when I see negative reviews for Restoration Hardware. Not only are their products superlative, but our experience with their customer service is almost not to be believed, it was so good. We bought a sofa, and we love it. But, what we didn't really pay attention to was the taco effect of the fabric we chose. For months since we bought it, RH at U Village in Seattle has been helping us to determine how to handle it. I'm frankly blown away with the over the top concern and efforts they have made to make it right for us. And they did. I won't go into the details, but frankly, if I was on the other side of me, I would have told me to shut up and sit down. They instead treated us like royalty. I can't over emphasize how happy this company has made us, and what loyal customers we are now as a result.

I don't know why I keep going back to Restoration Hardware, it is psychological. I keep expecting good results and almost always end up with poor quality product. I purchased 3 bathroom vanities and one came with stain issues, almost like they forgot to stain one drawer. I unfortunately did not noticed because my general contractor took the order. I called to complain and was told this was my fault, I should have checked at delivery. I gave them this one. I have since ordered a kitchen table, it is currently one month old and nearly half the stain is rubbed off. I ordered the world famous cloud couch in leather and the back is pushing out in three different areas where we sit. It is almost like it has no proper back support.
I also ordered two custom chairs for the living room, one was lost and they told me it was my fault because I canceled the order..one I already paid for and they actually charged me a cancelation fee. Bonus, I still do not have the missing chair or what I paid for it. I have spent so much of my time and money and I am tired of companies like this delivery poor quality for top dollar. When and they will mess up orders, they make sure it is the customers fault.

I purchased the Arles rectangular dining room table with two leaves in oak gray. A guest accidentally caused some damage to the paint by placing his laptop over it on a cloth mat and the heat melted the paint. I was furious because that is telling of the quality of the paint. I have a less costly table in my family room where we even do arts and crafts on it and it’s in mint condition. I called RH hoping they could offer some solution or assistance in helping me fix the damage. It only needs to be resurfaced, the area is about a 3 inch diameter. But who? Where? What paint? They did not care. I just could not believe that their customer service would be so awful and unhelpful. I’m done buying from them, so much for their annual membership, they could at least reveal the paint color or finish I need to purchase to have it resurfaced.

I purchased fabric by the yard based on a fabric swatch I ordered from the website. I didn't check the color closely when my fabric arrived and dropped it off at an upholsterer to have some chairs recovered. When my newly upholstered chairs were delivered, I noticed the "carbon" vintage velvet fabric that was dark gray on my swatch looked blue on my chairs. I got another swatch of the same material to see which color was most correct, and the new swatch was a light gray this time.
I called and emailed RH several times to request that the material be replaced - I shared photos of the issue and each time asked to escalate my complaint to someone at a higher level that could help me. My appeals went nowhere - I was told "it is our determination that this is an acceptable shade within the Vintage Velvet" and that all the different samples I had were within an "acceptable tolerance". I was surprised that a retailer that shows so many different shades of beige and gray would find this variation acceptable. My experience and the lack of customer service I received was extremely disappointing.
