Appointment for seasonal tune up was between 10am and 2pm but no one didn’t call or come until 2pm. Called customer service, said Tech is on the way. And received text message that arriving between 3pm and 3:15pm. Tech came to the house and said that cannot do it today because it’s raining and temperature is below 60 degrees…. As of yesterday or before, or appointment’s morning, before send tech, we’ve already knew both the forecasted weather and temperatures! This is very ridiculous.

ARS sent a salesman to sell me a new AC when I never requested one...My AC wasn't cooling past 72. I needed a tech to fix it.... I was sent a Mr ** who lied to me, telling me I needed a new AC for 18k. This AC was only 10 years old... I got a second opinion from Big Texas Soulutions, and they changed a capacitor, now my AC is cooling properly... ARS sent this untruthful person to rip me off to line his commission pockets.... I'll never use ARS again. Customers beware of B.**.

These guys are crooks. Beware. I had them come out for a simple AC check-up. My system was working fine, I checked it before they came, nothing leaking, etc. Sal was not keen to do a good cleaning since I had a 29.00 coupon. Practically had to beg him to at least take the cover off so I could use a leaf blower to clean out the unit. When he did, I went in my garage to get the leaf blower, and when I returned, he was messing with the lockout values and letting out refrigerant. I asked what was going on and he said, luckily, he was there because I had a valve problem and it needed to be replaced.

Then he told me I need to spend a minimum of 400.00 to add refrigerant after he let it out!!! Then, suddenly, my fan needed to be replaced for another 1,200.00. I told him to wrap up the service and go. I was billed 228.00 for a 29.00 piss poor cleaning and two 15.00 locking caps. I have called ARS 3 times, asking to speak with owner or service manager for over a week and NO return call. I was very specific in what I wanted to talk about. I had another company come out to do a real cleaning/inspection and guess what? There is Nothing wrong with my fan. I paid 225.00 for a thorough cleaning/inspection and to refill the refrigerant. DO NOT USE ARS!!! THEY WILL ROB YOU!!!! I will take a lie detector and swear to this story in court, it is 100% accurate.

Called ARS to install a single faucet in 1/2 bathroom. Technician came and after seeing the job gave estimate of $475 just to change a single faucet that would take 30 mins. We felt it was a ridiculous amount being charged and did NOT get the work done. We lost $99 diagnostics fee!! We have been ARS members for a long time using their HVAC service. We used a local mom and pop plumbing and the job was done in less than 1/2 of what ARS was charging.

The HVAC installation on 3/13 went great—the crew was professional and did an excellent job. But everything after that has been a nightmare. Before the installation, their sales team called me multiple times and stayed on top of everything. After the job? Completely different story. Zero follow-through. I was told ARS would file the permit with the City of Aurora and that I needed to complete the inspection within a week. I reached out immediately for the permit details—no response. After 5–6 calls and multiple escalations, I finally got a Permit ID on 4/11… which the city confirmed is INVALID.

Since then, I’ve contacted support again and again, only to hear the same “wait 24–48 hours for a callback” excuse. No one ever calls back. It’s now been over 35 days, and I still can’t schedule an inspection because ARS hasn’t provided a valid permit. Their AI phone system is also incredibly frustrating and useless. Great installers, but terrible and unprofessional post-installation support—especially the inspections department. Once they have your business, don’t expect any real help.

I received a whole new system in February of this year. Since then we’ve had to call a tech out due to the heat not working after install, because it was under warranty the first technician that showed up left and said a different technician had to come out. Fast forward to today 4/16 received an email confirmation confirming my appointment for 2pm-6pm. Received a text message at 4:35 stating our appointment is confirmed and a tech will call soon. 5:05pm I call and the company to check the status and they are trying to tell me that we did not confirm when the email or text does not say we need to confirm anything. It’s hotter in my house than it is outside. It’s 92 degrees in my house and they kept trying to reschedule us. This is unacceptable! This company does not value customers once they get your money. Additionally, Management does not return phone calls as requested.

Amir (ARS from Laurel) came to our home on 4/14/2026. I couldn’t have been more pleased with his manner and professionalism. I have worked customer service in my past life and I know when it is above and beyond. He was very polite, knowledgeable and empathetic. Whereas, we have dealt with ARS in the past, we find that their representatives always represent this company in a positive professional way. The next day, Brandon (I hope I am remembering his name right) came to our home. He listened to my concerns and was very familiar with specific requirements in my county. Going forward, I haven’t decided which route I will take to resolve my issues but, because of the employees, I would be leaning towards sticking with ARS

My recent experience with ARS really left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I blame myself for not shopping around before I purchased a new H-VAC system. I have had nothing but terrible experiences with both their team of technicians, operators and sales staff. I have had them to service my H-VAC system for several years now. I can't begin to tell you how that almost every time I've dealt with one of their techs, almost always they were trying to sell me on something. So this last time after the tech telling me that my system which was only six years old would soon not be able to be serviced because the EPA outlawed the Freon that it would take to service the H-VAC. So what started out to be a $500.00 cleaning turned out to be a new Rheem H-vac system for $11,500.

I serious when I say that I didn't need a new system. My system was working fine. I could go on, but I don't have time to write a book. Understand, for myself I will not be using their services any longer. Even with an excellent credit report, the best that they could give me to finance a new system was 12.9% for a 15 year loan, adding up to $26,460. For just an H-VAC unit. I paid it off. I'm not crazy. I don't trust these people out of Nashville Tennessee.

This company honestly shouldn’t be in business. I signed up specifically because they told me they provide tankless water heater flush services. After paying for their package and waiting for my appointment, they suddenly claimed they don’t even offer that service. Completely misleading and unprofessional. This feels like a scam—don’t trust what they tell you.

I had a full HVAC system installed by ARS / Rescue Rooter about two years ago, including a new refrigerant line that is under warranty. That line is now leaking, and my AC is currently not usable. To assess the problem, ARS charged me a $109 service fee even though under warranty. I contacted the Quality Assurance Manager through the Indianapolis office without a call back. Also contacted their corporate office with no reply so far. Most recently, I had an appointment scheduled for today to determine the cause of the refrigerant leak, and no one showed up. I was contacted at the end of the appointment window to indicated an unexpected vehicle issue with no good timeframe today for service.

At this point, I am dealing with both a warranty issue and a lack of responsiveness, which is extremely frustrating given the system is only two years old. The contract for the HVAC system includes a 5-year labor and 10-year parts warranty. I am simply asking for ARS to honor their warranty and schedule service promptly without additional fees to fix their installation Issue.
