A bad service experience, I don't understand how a brand doesn't realize how bad they are doing it, they came to check because the filter wasn't working and found that a piece was broken, they simply canceled it and charged me for the service, co or if it was my fault that the equipment was defective, then when I showed my disagreement the installer threatened to damage the equipment, it cannot be that the brand does not realize how badly they are doing it, now they are left with the bad equipment Since no one answers me for the broken part, there are many options on the market, look for the one that suits, but please don’t buy Puronic. Bad experience ever.

System does work good for the past 2 years. But I cannot get the sales rep to call back or to get info on when we need to change the filters and maintain the whole house system. Attmepting to do it myself as the reps do not get back to you nor check in either. We are still receiving the soap supply. We have a whole house filter iGen system and reverse osmosis under the sink filter with an Alkaline add.

This people sells you a water filter for $0. The lure is that you'll receive 10 years of free products if you buy the filter. The amount you save monthly in the products will cover the payment for the filter. TADA! Free water filter. LIES! The truth is, they will open a credit card under your name with a 26% interest for the full amount of the filter, installation and who knows what else. The interest alone in ten years will be double the amount of the price of one of those filters. I recommend paying off the credit card in one big payment or take an regular loan, something around 10% interest and pay it off.
So far the filter works. BUT, the free products don't last the demand for a family of 5. They "designed" the product to last for a full year. Concentrated soaps and shampoos that you water down. So, you'll be stuck for 10 years with the same product you might not even like and you'll need to water down to make it last. Don't trust this company. Don't buy anything from them. Tell them to go away and buy the filter directly from a company that sells water filters.

A frustrated email to headquarters lead to an immediate phone call from Puronics. A nice man gave me the name and phone number for the company that is now servicing their products in the Pittsburgh Area. I called and set up an appointment for service. It took a couple of weeks due to lack of technicians, HOWEVER, I was glad to have someone after waiting a year for Orbit not to open.

We bought our first water softener in 1991. That lasted about 20 years. Service was good. Bought our second one and things were good until 2022 when they closed shop and sent a letter with a name of a company to take over for them. They are not in business either, so now what? TOTAL DISGUST. THE CUSTOMER MEANS NOTHING.

Don’t buy Puronics, they come to your house and lie to you. Worst customer service in the history of customer service. If you read this comment and you still buy you can’t complain. They told me free cleaning supplies, they told me the first service was free, they told me it was easy payments. They lie like there is no tomorrow.

I have had a broken system that was damaged in shipping it to me for over a year. First the screen was cracked then the unit exploded sending silt over my basement floor causing my floor drain to clog to the extent that it can not be cleared. It created water damage to the floor joists of my first floor due to standing water. Now I am afraid of mold.. The silt is super slippery which caused me to fall and injure myself. All of my household items are now stained too due their product not working at all.. Puronics quit answering any emails, texts and calls months ago. They NEVER offered to send someone out. I wish I knew a atty. I would sue them.

Purchased home with existing Puronics water system in 2020. Charcoal filter failed in 2021. Could not get individual dealers in central Florida to service. Exception: One dealer did site visit and would replace filter for $600.00 Never heard back. I called him twice - said he cannot secure a filter. Corporate claims the filter is available, gave me a list of existing dealers that I already called. Said they would follow up, never did. I called once, left message, they never called back. My system is the Terminator and went out of production in 2011. So, why would anyone purchase a new system for $10,000 from Puronics if they don't service a system that was, at the time, potentially ten years old?

I purchased a house with a Puronics whole house water softener already installed. After a couple of months the control panel started flashing service needed with a 1-800 number to call. I tried calling the number several times and was told to leave a message and someone would contact me and I never heard back. I then tried calling the number for the main office and got another recording and again I never heard from anyone. I then went to their website and tried the online chat just to find out what the warranty was on this product and couldn't even get an answer to this simple question, they wanted my info to put me in touch with a salesperson. I don't need a salesperson I need service.
After all this I called my home warranty and they sent out two different service reps from different companies and they both said the unit is shot. This unit is only a little over 4 years old, my brother has a lot cheaper system and his is going on 7 years old. In conclusion I would never purchase a product from this company, can't get anyone to service their product or even get anyone on the phone to answer basic questions. Terrible service.

After concluding my own research from company to company, warranty to warranty, and many others, Puronics provides the best system available with the best value. You can get a cheap water softener nowadays anywhere, but most homeowners just like me, were very uneducated on different types of systems. I went thru the process of many other companies and salespeople, Puronics gave the most rational breakdown on their system versus the others out there (Culligan, Kinetico, Pelican, etc). Little did I know that reviews on Consumer Affairs are "paid for" advertisements. Which means companies can pay to choose what the reviews they want. Also Puronics does not claim their business on Consumer Affairs for that fact, so most reviews are inaccurate. They are accredited and certified through Feefo (verified customer reviews from BBB) and received the diamond certified award.
The value of the system comes in the form of longevity and quality. None compares and I am more than happy with my purchase. Over 70 years of experience and certifications its clear cut decision. I've gone through the cheap $2k softener year in and year out not knowing my city water has so many other problems than just hard water. The installation process was incredible, professional, and you saw the care they put in to make it perfect. Customer service, honesty in all parts of the process, and quality make Puronics the best water filtration system available on the market. DO NOT choose anyone else!

I love my water system, have had it for about a year now BUT I have in writing I would get a $300.00 referral check for each referral up to 5/year. 4 months ago I referred my sister in law and still haven't received my check--now the dealer I went through is out of business and corporate just keeps telling me they will check into it. 7 calls later still nothing! They also changed cleaner companies and I was told that Sonoma would still honor my 5 years of free products, well they aren't. No one is willing to answer any questions honestly.

We bought our system here in Boise. We have owned three other water softeners and never in my life have I seen water so clean and pure. I think the bad reviews are a function of a bad dealer. I use a CPAP at night and I previously bought distilled water. No need now the water is so clear and clean. Our dealer, Ultra Water Tech was great. It is the same technology that NASA uses, it costs a little extra but you are getting so much more with Puronics.

We were told that we could try out their water filtration system and if we did not like it we could have the system taken out and only pay for the time we used it. The salesman also said that they would run a soft credit check. After two weeks, we decided that we did not want the system due to financial reasons and that the system just wasn't worth it. When we contacted the company to have our services canceled, we were told that we are responsible for the $7,500.00 unit and could not cancel. The salesman also lied about the credit check. It hit my credit as a hard inquiry and dropped my credit by 22 points.

I been trying to get my product serviced since January 2020. The company that serviced us before decided we were to far for them to service, so I tried the other company from Puronics website which they only list two. The next one's mailbox is full and no one picks up the phone. So I called the main line and I got a couple more numbers. First one I called they said they can service unit but can't repair because they can't get parts. I called Puronics again and they reached out to rep for another service company and called me back with new company.
I reached out to them two weeks ago and gave them all my information and they said they were just getting back to work and would have the supervisor call me. No call so I called them back, took my information again and said someone would reach out to me, still nothing now system isn't generating soft water. Would of gave No stars but couldn't, ready to dump system and find a local company of which I should have done in the beginning.

We were not shown a contract, quoted a price different from what we were charged, also told that we had 7-10 days to chance our minds. Now we have a lawyer and a lien against our property. We had a guy come do a water test, an hour and a half later, he tells us it $7599 for just the system. It’s almost 8pm needing to get my young children ready for bed, my husband had just gotten home from a long day at work, and he was pressuring us that we had to make the decision right then,I told him I will not make a huge purchase like that with thinking it over and doing my research after that is when he lost the sale he would not drop it and continued to hassle us about agreeing to buy it right then, and not just hassle us but turned extremely rude. We are buying a water filtration system but won’t be from puronics! After doing my research I’m glad I trusted my gut, you can get a water filtration system for your home for less than half the cost and without the horrible experience of someone in your home being completely unprofessional ! Do your research!!

I’ve read how some of you had bad experiences with the system, in my case it was the other way around. I am very satisfied, I love the products and I am saving a lot of money from what I used to spend in cleaning products etc, so for me it was an awesome decision and my family loves how their skin and hair feel. If you had leaks and this I know because I did a whole research before I bought it, is because your pipes were already too damaged and all of the sediments that were already there are causing complications. It is not the system but the dirt that’s causing it. And you could say well I didn’t have the problems before, well you were going to have them worse at some point.

2 1/2 months has gone by and this water softener, Puronics, is not working properly. I've put in 5 bags of salt in 2 1/2 months. My old unit, 3 bags would last me 6 months. This unit I was told top of the line. BS. They took a sample of water. Going to take 7 days to get results. That's not what I asked. Why is the unit taking 3 bags every month. Not a happy camper. I paid $7000 for this unit.

In Feb of 2018 I purchased a Puronics system through a dealer (Aquafeel Solutions). I thought I was getting top of the line water filtration. The dealer, Aquafeel, tested my water, sold me on the system and had financing and installation the next day. The first week everything was fine until the second week. My houses started smelling like rotten eggs. I financed through Aqua Finance the amount of $7500.00. I now have realized they ripped me off.
I called Aquafeel to let them know the problem I was having and it was the worst experience with customer service I've ever had! Make a long story short... They did not properly test my water. I am on a private well. They installed the wrong equipment. They have been to my house three times and finally took the carbon filter and reinstalled my old equipment which I never discarded. Now I am paying for a system I am not using. I've contacted Puronics who tried to help but said for me to have the dealer contact them... Dealer refuses to contact them. Contacted the finance company, they can't contact the dealer! I think I am going to take legal action against this company. I feel so victimized.

Horrible customer service. Puronics has a convoluted dealer network that sells their product directly to customers. Customers like me would buy the product from them trusting that it's Puronics selling this product. My Terminator iGen and Micromax 7000 system stopped working exactly 60 days after service and when I called Puronics customer support, they want me to talk the dealer who sold it to me (and I had no luck reaching him, as he was out of for a long holiday). Even though the product failed well within the warranty period, Puronics wanted me to pay ($159 initial consultation) for even a technician to come and diagnose and more for further repairs. DEFINITELY wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. They just don't stand behind their products and have no consideration for customer issues.

Moved to Florida 3 years ago and was contacted by Puronics (Anthony) and sold us a softener that really wasn't necessary because we are in a deed restricted area and our water is fine. But being a well owner previously we were convinced our water was not good for our water heater and receptacles etc not to mention drinking. After spending 4000.00 dollars we noticed brown water in toilets and could not figure out why being new to area, it could not possibly be a water softener. We had one in North Carolina for 15 years and never had an issue, but lo and behold, Puronics finally admitted a factory screw up in some of their softeners turned water brown! And I don't know if it was harmful to us or not? They would not say. It has been shut off for 2 years now, and if you look up (pissed consumer it goes into more detail on what transpired.
It is my opinion that zero tolerance is should be taken into account when it involves drinking water and finding there is something brown in it, and it isn't explained what and why we were put in this position! For all I know it may be something that causes cancer! Does this sound like a company to deal with? And yes we are in crystal river area which I believe is Puronics out of Spring Hill Florida!! Still sits here and I have decided to have another water company try to tell me what we drank? I know Puronics won't give us a straight answer. Be careful people. Very expensive, and could be hazardous to your health.

I purchased my Puronics from a local dealer. My husband set up an appointment with a salesman who came to our house and did a water quality demo. I knew that we had hard water and I was not happy with the chlorine content in our tap water. I previously used carbon filters attached to our shower heads and had a Brita pitcher in the fridge. I was not happy with replacing the filters in the bathroom and I didn't like how they looked. I thought that a system would make it easier and that I would not have to worry about buying bottled water and so forth.
The system was pretty expensive, but I did not have to finance it. The installation was fine. Ultimately I'm happy because the water is better throughout my house. My house is old and in need of remodeling so this was my first step. I was able to take the filters off of the shower and I'm not suffering from skin breakouts from the chlorine and hair products work better on my tough curly hair. If you can afford it I would recommend the system. I'm happy because the water is clean and I do a lot less work now.

We've had our Puronics home system for over 3 years. Now, for over a month the system has not been working. We had to turn off the filter because the water in our sinks and toilets started to come out dark coffee color. We called a technician to come take a look at it. He said, all the water was working great except our filter. He called the company Puronics customer line for me and no answer. My technician had told me that I would need to replace a part on the filter. The filter is not easy to remove and I cannot do myself. He also added that it would cost me another thousand dollars in expenses.
However, The Puronics system comes with a lifetime warranty which I was told when I bought the system. I paid more than 5000 dollars for the system and will not pay another dime because I worked so hard on paying that 5000 off without interest. I know there is some kind of defect on this product. I researched online that they no longer make my model. Please help me resolve this.

Last year, when I moved in to my new house, a salesperson from Green Living Water Solution came to my house to sell me Puronics System. I just moved in and they were a lot of salesperson trying to sell me things. When I talked to Green Living Water Solution, the salesperson told me it will only cost me $92 per month for six years. I was thinking this is okay but I was totally wrong. The salesperson came in my house on Saturday but he can't run my credit report. I forgot I have a credit fraud in my credit report. So, he told me he will try to run my credit on the weekend. On Aug. 20, 2012, the salesperson called me to let me know I was approved for the loan. He wanted to come to my home and ask me to sign the paperwork. Before I even got home, the sales person was already waiting for me outside of my front door. He didn't explain anything to me and just wanted me to sign all the paperwork. He took the paperwork with him and told me that when they finish the install of the system, they will give me the contract.
The next day, the owner of Green Living Water Solution came by to my house. Once again, he waited for me outside my house. They wasted no time in trying to install the system in the house, even the law states that I have three days to cancel. But they installed the system before I can change my mind. That is not the worst. After a month, the system is not working. They have to change the part and I was very unhappy when I received the loan statement. This was not 6-year loan, it was a 9-year loan and the interest is 19.99%. Why would I want to pay for the system that is almost $9,000? So, I contacted NV Contractor Board and found out Green Living Water Solution doesn't have the license. I also found out the install was totally incorrect. I wrote a letter asking Green Living Water Solution to remove the system from my house. I never heard from them when I tried to contact Puronics. They told me it is not their problem.
NV District Attorney took the case against Green Living Water Solution. According to the District Attorney, Green Living Water Solution doesn't want to go to court. So they admitted they don't have a business license. In other words, they can't sell me the system and sub-contract to someone to install it in my house. But that's what Puronics did for me. Last year, Green Living Water Solution and Puronics asked me to pay for the finance company. They stated I don't have to pay two years interest and turn it down. Unless I am crazy, why would I want to pay for a system that's not even worth $9,000, especially since I know they are scamming me? Puronics is the company that provides the water system to those dealers but they never take any liability if something is wrong. I will never buy anything from the door sales person anymore because everyone is just trying to scam me for my money.

In June 2010, I filed a complaint against Great Southern Services in Longwood, Florida. My intentions were not to comment about the California Branch of Puronics in Livermore. As an update to my post in June 2010, I apologize to the firm for misunderstanding that I was going to retract my statement once I have received the free service. To update everyone, after I posted my complaint, Great Southern Services called me and asked what happened. I updated the representative regarding my dissatisfaction and she issued a check for the money I paid out for the follow up service.
The supervisor that came out was extremely courteous and apologetic for the oversight on a clogged filter that the previous service technician overlooked. He finished servicing the unit and gave me a couple of tips and was totally opposite of the first guy I dealt with. I received a rebate check within 2 weeks as promised. I recently called for my yearly inspection and they are going to honor their free service for this year for my inconvenience! How great is that! Most people forget after a month but when I called, Kristin was right on the ball and had all of my information as stated, not as they wanted it to be! Thank you Great Southern for honoring your word!
