I purchased a quart of Glidden Premium Satin Exterior paint and primer White in satin finish and it completely vanished on the wood after painting the first coat.

Was painting 60, 5.5"x12' baseboards. Lined up 40 and sprayed them with Glidden Premier Polar White. The can said will dry in 2-4 hours...Still not dry after 10 hours in the 80 degree Arizona sun. Had to stack then to bring them in for the night...Could not separate the boards at 8 a.m. the next morning without peeling the paint. Just in case the sprayer used too much paint, I sanded and rolled the next 20 with sponge roller. Still not fully cured after two days...Will try to get refund from Home Depot....But who will cover the cost of 60 baseboards...Labor???? Come on Glidden please help me out here.

I really can judge the coverage yet. I bought the spray cans for metal doors. Several of them and the buttons to spray are horrible. They are so hard to press. You can't hold them down. My husband can but even he said it was abnormally hard.

So I painted many many rooms. I needed to paint a bedroom. Given that Sherwin-Williams on sale is about $83 a gallon, I decided to try Glidden Endurance. The best one at Walmart, about $45 per gallon. As always including The Sherwin-Williams (you always need two coats no matter what the manufacturer says, don’t be fooled) did two coats. I found that the Glidden went on and covered exactly the same as Sherwin-Williams. It looks great. So all in all, I have no problem recommending the Glidden.

If I had known it was a PPG product I'd have never bought it. End result was a sticky mess that doesn't dry. Weeks later, the moisture is stuck in the bathroom walls and my hand literally sticks to the paint. It's horrible and will cost a lot of time and money to fix it. Horrible horrible horrible. I've painted thousands of gallons of paint in my lifetime and have never had this issue until Glidden/PPG. Did I mention it's HORRIBLE? These people should be ashamed. But they're PPG, so they don't really care as long as they're selling the garbage.

Porch and floor antiskid paint says it does not need primer but absolutely does. Had to go over a floor twice due to people asking, "Is that your primer?" Do not get if you want 1 coat. The antiskid is pretty cool.

This used to be a really good paint now it just sucks. Looks like you dry rolled just about everywhere you go have to go over it two or three times. It's not worth the price you pay even if it is cheaper. It's no better than Walmart paint. Will never buy again.

This is a great product. But I'm giving it only four stars. The only problem I had with this paint is I never once got high the whole time I was painting my house. This paint is so safe I'd feed it to my baby.

I bought Glidden Premium interior paint + primer to paint a small bathroom. The coverage is about as sheer as pantyhose. I have three coats and you can still see overlap! I purchased the paint on 1-14-2024 shown on the paint can.

I decided to try Glidden paint and unfortunately the paint is like water. We are using the Ultra paint and it will take three coats to have a decent finish over a light grey. Sherwin Williams Super Paint is the best, it will cost more but you will use much less. SICO Prestige is also a great paint.

I bought a gallon of Glidden Dark Gray for porch and floors a few years ago, never opened it until tonight and it's like water. Horrible! I've purchased other brands and never had this issue. Typically, when you buy paint and store it properly it's fine; not this. Truly no color left just like water. Will not buy this brand again.

So I just got done painting my entire kitchen with this paint and it's been two weeks now and my cabinets are sticky. I wish I would've read these reviews before I bought this paint from Walmart. I'm sure I've used Glidden in the past and don't recall having any issues but this time my paint is peeling in random places and it's still sticky two weeks after the fact.
Now I have to figure out what to do about this situation. I am really not impressed! I don't know if they have a guarantee or not, but I'm looking into it. I would like my money back or at least a partial refund. I paid $30 for this stuff and it took three coats to cover cabinets that I sanded thoroughly beforehand and throughout the coats. I have to buy another can just for all the touchups and hopefully the stickiness will go away. I'm not sure yet. I'm seriously annoyed. I wouldn't recommend this paint to anyone.

I used paint to cover marks. First three times was with a brush, next two, with pad, after that, three more times with a rolller. I am using Glidden Premium interior paint and primer. Results are so bad that I will be taking paint back to store with pictures, ask for money back and buy DIFFERENT brand of paint. If I could give zero stars, that is what I would do.

I hired a contractor to paint my basement. We agreed to use Glidden's highest quality product (Glidden High Endurance Plus). He chose "eggshell," which I thought was a reasonable choice. The quality is good. The color is off. Glidden's "Eggshell" is a light pink. Most eggshells are not pink. I wanted a cream color. Very disappointing.

I repaint almost the entire inside of the house every time we move - and that is pretty often. Glidden paints are always easy to apply, provide excellent coverage, and there's little effort to clean up. Good color selection - especially when looking for that perfect shade of "white". Have used other brands of paint, but always come back to Glidden feeling it's the best value for the money.

Good quality paint. The brand could benefit from having more colors to select from and advertising more. Make the brand more accessible by having it in more outlets. These are my final thoughts on the brand.

I had to cut in and paint the corners a total of 4 times, just to get the same results as the cheap Walmart paint. I was hoping to have a paint that do as it claim, paint and primer all in one. Watching a YouTube video online was much more helpful than the instructions on the can.

Great for trim. Was using Rust-Oleum to paint but wasn't thick enough so decide to try Glidden and was very well pleased. Would recommend this product for all your painting needs. Was going to paint walls but they were already done.

This is a thicker paint that goes on smooth and covers most surfaces in one application, no need to purchase those paints that have the primer inside. Don't waste your money. This is the paint to buy and available at most big box stores...

A Brand I grew up using so I feel confident about still using it now as an older adult in 2020. Other brands not as familiar to me. It takes care of my painting needs. It mixes and spreads fine for my usage.

This brand is usually the only brand available at the local hardware store. I started using it due to the lack of options, but have always been happy with it. It's easy to clean (when dry of course). It also seems to dry pretty fast, and there never seems to be a shortage of color options.

Building a large storage bench with box cushion for grandson's birthday. Explained to salesperson at Home Depot what I was doing and this was recommended for interior of lid and storage area. Sanded, cleaned, and primed with Kilz 2 Gray Interior & Exterior primer. Built this from 3/4" plywood, understanding a good primer would be needed. Primer went on beautifully with 2 coats. Let dry for 48 hours. Gave light hand sanding with 220 grit sand paper, vacuumed, and wiped with a microfiber cloth thoroughly. Applied thin coat of the Glidden using 'Best' labeled paint brush for corners and around braces & 'Best' smooth surface paint roller for flat areas.
Let dry for 24 hours, still tacky, let dry for another 24 hours. Applied 2nd thin coat. Remained tacky for 5 days. Sanded down to the wood (anyone that has tried to sand tacky paint knows how difficult, time consuming, and how much sand paper needed from getting gummed up). Started all over. Allowing even more time between coats of both primer (primer still went on great, again dried beautifully!) and the paint. Same results. Back to sanding down to wood again! Will NEVER use Glidden again. NEVER. Thanks to Glidden paint I did not finish in time for grandson's birthday.

I built a set of steps going up into the back yard using rough lumber. Undecided whether to use stain or paint, I opted for Glidden paint and was surprised that it covered and sealed the rough boards surprisingly well. One coat, thickly applied did the trick. While my first inclination was to use stain, the paint has held up well for several years now and I don't regret my choice of Glidden one bit.

Paint covers in one coat very well. Just as good as a more expensive brand and has a good variety of colors. I used it on a wall that had been painted black and was very doubtful about the coverage I would need, but the light blue color covered the darker paint in one coat.

1. I ended up using 1-1/2 gallons for 165 sq ft. Label on the can said 380 to 420 sq ft. coverage, but the first gallon can only covered ~ 110 sq ft. with around 60 sq ft which used ~50% of the second can. I am totally disappointed with the coverage of this paint.
2. Smell from the paint is horrible. I felt irritating with small burning in my throat area for the last many days and have to spit out saliva/mucus caused by the paint in my throat area, plus occasional coughing. My wife has suffered from mild running nose for a few days. I opened the window daily in day time for over a week to vent out but the smell is still there. We only stayed in the room when the window was opened and could not sleep in or stay too long in the room. HOW MANY MORE DAYS DO WE HAVE TO SUFFER FROM THE SMELL AND ILL EFFECTS until all the smell is gone????
Local Paint Store contacted me on 25 Sep and I told him that I have contacted Glidden with the above complaint. He said he will escalate to Glidden management. Never heard back from Glidden until 15 Oct 2020 (a month later) with "Your PPG Ticket ** Glidden Ultra has been completed. If any further assistance is needed, please do not hesitate to contact us." What a disappointment.
Also from Glidden website Safety Data Sheet listed all kinds of health hazard information there, do not understand why this paint is selling to home owner for indoor use with all this hazard components. ** I went and see my family doctor this week and was confirmed that I have irritation in my throat area caused by this paint. This is a month after using the paint, and minor smell is still inside the room. We have not been using the room for a month. Do not buy and use this Glidden Ultra ceiling paint in your home, you surely will suffer.

They have flat paint, satin for the interior and also exterior and they have drywall primer and garage floors and ceiling paint.
