Last year I bought a Murray push mower at Home Depot. The thing would never start and when it did, it didn't run long. I went to Home Depot today and another man was complaining about the same situation. He said he just threw his away. I always liked Murrays and now I don't know what to do. I don't have a way of hauling the thing around all over the country to get it fixed and pay even more.

I purchased a Murray 6.5 hp push lawn mower. It was used about 4 times within a 2-month period. The plastic gas tank leaks and creates a hazardous condition. This makes the lawnmower totally useless. The leaking gas tank rendered the lawnmower useless and I had to purchase a new lawn mower.

On 05/27/2002, my husband was using the lawn mower. When he pushed the mower forward, instead of mowing the front grass, it bumped backward and covered his left foot. He then stopped the mower right away. I called 911 and he was sent to the emergency room immediately.

The laceration resulted in his disability of walking normally for weeks. He lost the nail of his first toe completely and the tendon of his second toe. He had to rely on crutches most of the time. We did collect all the reports either from the emergency room or the foot specialist, as well as all the pics of his injuried foot and cut-off shoe.

I purchased a go-kart from a local Walmart Store last year for my 11 year old son for Christmas. The guy that originally sold me the kart had no idea what he was doing as he blew the engine by not putting any oil in the kart before starting and as a result last Xmas my son could not even start his kart. I took it back and management gave me another kart.

Well, before long I start having problems with the tires. My son has only ridden this kart a limited number of times and he has only ridden it in our subdivision where there are no rocks, debris, etc. to cause tire damage and we still have defective tires that blow out. I have called Walmart and they said they don't carry the tires for the go karts and I have to call Murray which I can never get any satisfaction.

I feel the sales people at Walmart should warn consumers that if they purchase this equipment that they are on their own in repairs, etc. And if Murray knows these tires are a problem, they should recall them. I still have my receipt from last December on a big ticket item that my son has not truly had the opportunity to enjoy because first we had engine problems, then we have have had tire problems and I'm just ready to return the kart and get my money back.
