I like the design of Marquis very much. The size is perfect. It has everything that we need for a small family. We are a family of four or five. My kids are loving the tub. The LED lights are awesome in the night. The jets are also cool. It also has a bunch of different settings that we could use to personalize that, so that's cool, too.
The sales rep was very cordial and accommodating. The sales rep was particularly pursuant about making it very compliant in terms of the electrical connections, to make sure that there are no trip hazards or electrical issues. I like that part very much because of some of the small details on how to cover the electrical outlets and how to make it more secure, especially with the kids at home, we had that covered. The sales rep was very knowledgeable and walked me through, plus they gave us a couple of months of supplies to make it the pH balance, the alkaline. They're all important aspects alongside the electrical - the health and safety, which were covered by the sales rep. The price was on the stiffer side. But the material and the kind of things that they used, they are definitely something which cost. I also heard the lifespan of this product is going to be 20 years. It's worth it.

We don't like the Marquis spa that we got. We're first time spa purchasers. We don't feel like we were educated enough. The dial to turn the temperature is not a simple up and down arrow. You have to push a button and then do something else to push other buttons to change the temperature. We got it stuck, right off the bat, on 60 degrees. So, it wasn't hot. We called the company and they were like, "Yeah. Well, if you want us to come out, it's gonna be a $250 charge." We got threatened, and it made me mad. We left a bad review saying, "This is no good. We don't know what we're doing. And right away, it was set at 60 something degrees and we weren't hot." They ended up sending somebody out for free after we wrote a bad review, but we're not that happy.
The model that we got was simple looking. We thought simple looking is what we want since we've never had a spa before. I just feel like it's a junkie one from China. I don't know where it was made. It feels like it's not that good a quality. One of the jets in one of the seats aren't even really working right now. We haven't bothered to call and bother somebody about it. Unfortunately, the dials that we got are junk. So when you wanna turn up the temperature, you have to hit buttons, hold down buttons and jiggle buttons. It's such a hard process to change the temperature that we don't change the temperature at all.
After the installation, they left a pamphlet of something and tried to explain to me some complex way of managing the chemicals, which I still don't understand how to do. I've had to drain it three times now because I can't get the chemicals right. Overall, it's been a bad deal. Last time, none of the buttons were working. They said, "We've hit a button to put it into demo mode." We were like, "We don't know how to fix this." This was right off the bat. We never had even sat in the Jacuzzi. It was a month where we just had a Jacuzzi that we couldn't even use before we tried calling and messing with them. They eventually came out, and I was happy they didn't try and charge us, but it just hasn't been a good experience all the way around.

We dealt with Andy of Custom Fireplace & Barbecue and I think the world of him. He was fantastic to deal with all the way through. Also, the installers did an incredible job. They had to take out the old tub and they had to bring the new tub up 50 yards from the street and through some narrow areas. They had to disassemble a fence structure and put up a temporary support in order to get the new tub in and they replaced the fence perfectly. Also, they showed up when they said they would and they finished when they said they would. They kept the job site clean for the two days it took them to do it. I couldn't speak more highly of them if I tried.

My initial conversations with the Marquis' reps and the information I got about the hot tub were good. It was all very informative and I didn't feel pressured to make a decision. Also, the dealer helped me figure out if I would be able to get a larger spa in my backyard. It turned out that I could not, even using larger lifts, given the configuration of the street and power lines. But as far as the installation, it was not so smooth.
I picked the smallest available spa since I needed to be able to fit that spa to the side entrance to my backyard. But it was the only spa that was the largest I could get. I have it plugged into 220 volts with a 50-amp breaker. I have the version that has a more powerful pump that enables it to work simultaneously with heating. That's what's important to me, that I can enjoy the spa and it doesn't get colder as I'm enjoying it. I also have the MicroSilk, which I use very often. I love that feature and it's super awesome because it's quieter than the regular operation of a spa. It's a very good setup where I have guests and there's more people in the spa and we are talking. It's harder to talk over the faster setup of the jets, but it's easy to talk over the MicroSilk.
I talked to the dealer extensively about noise at night in relation to the pump, because that spa did not have an additional pump. But given that it operates pumps in two modes, fast and slow, I'm still very happy with it. It's quiet enough for my needs. The quality of the spa is all very good. In fact, I drilled holes in my spa to change the direction where the power cables come out of it. It was pre-set up such that the power has to be plugged in on the left side, but it made more sense for me to plug it from the right side. I drilled in the exterior material, so I could tell the quality of the material used is not the best. Also, the way that the screws are done when I have to drain the spa is not the best. But as far as the spa itself, using it, the inside of it, and the jets, all of that feels high quality to me and I'm very happy with that.
I would recommend the spa. My specific spa is not super flexible on setting up the schedule for filtering, but there's a module that I could purchase. So, after doing a little bit of research on it, I decided against it and kept it in the default setting. But I wish they could have more flexibility in setting up the schedule. Outside of that, the base experience is super solid and I love the material on the inside. It's also very easy to maintain. It doesn't drain fully because of how the seats are set up. But I understand that because of how low the spa is, it does change the layout that you need to do for the moldings so that it's comfortable for people. I have to remove the water afterwards. I have Shop-Vac, so I just suck it all out afterwards.

I got the 14-foot spa from Marquis Spas and it has two jets for the swimming part. I've used it quite a few times and it maintains the temperature well. So far, it's been a good experience. I got the basic model, so I don't have all the bells and whistles to it. But I like the ability to change the color of the light and the Quiet Soak feature, where you can turn off all the jets and just have still water. I also like the easy access to the filters to clean it, which I got to do that soon. When you open the spa, you just open both corners and take the filters out, unscrew the filters, spray them down and put them back in. And the maintenance of the spa, too, hasn't been all that complicated. It's just putting the right chemicals in it when it needs it. And I have a schedule that I follow. So, it's been nice.
The quality is good and I haven't had any problems. The bubble jets are very easy to adjust and the material of the spa itself, such as the walls and the floor, are solid and well-made. I like the step-up feature. There's a little stepping deck on the side that I can use to get in and out of the spa. I just got a feature for the cover where I can lift it without having to use too much elbow grease.

My husband and I didn't want a big huge hot tub and we got The Josie but it's called The Spirit now. It's just the two of us and we didn't wanna have to heat or waste the water on anything bigger. Before Marquis would sell us the spa, the rep was concerned because he didn't know of any certified mechanics for Marquis where we are. So I put a post on Facebook, found a person, and apparently, he's popular in this town because he does a good job. So, I had the mechanic talk to the owner of the Sonoma Backyard and between the two of them, they gave me a specific step-by-step installation. And we also had to run new electrical with the independent breaker. We did all that. So the installation day was simple.
We use the spa every single day. Since we got the spa, it has completely changed our schedule. At nighttime, we would get home from work and do our nightly chores. We would cook dinner and then, we'd sit down in front of the TV till it was time to go to bed. Now, we've simplified our nighttime. Our dinners have gotten to where they're still healthy but small and quick so that we can get into the hot tub. We stay in it until we're ready to go to bed. And we probably only watch maybe 15 minutes of TV now. We've got a beautiful view where we live, and it's literally just been more one-on-one time with me and my husband.

The dealer was horrible. They changed the written contract without our approval. Not only that, they also promised us something different. We wanted the inside of the Marquis - the little fill in the middle. They sold us something different which is the higher-end mode. They sold us a different shell and lighting system. We did not like that at all. Also, apparently, that's who our warranty is through. We're not able to register with Marquis. But we ended up being okay with the spa because it's what we wanted. It's improved the blood circulation in my legs.

The website was great, and Jesse, the Marquis rep at Idler’s, and his worker who installed the jacuzzi were totally amazing. For them to bring it in, it was so fast. They had to take my other one out as well, and it was very cumbersome. It was very old. Still, they were here less than 30 minutes, which was a miracle. From gas to food, everything right now is so ridiculously expensive, and I call the jacuzzi my Cadillac out in the backyard. It's worth it though. Using it is life-changing. Everything about it is perfect in every way, and I totally love it.

Marquis is on the upscale side of the spa business. We walked in and looked at everything that they had and asked a few questions. We liked what we saw. We knew we were looking at something that was probably out of our price range but we looked anyway. They had some floor models on sale and there was one that they were hoping to sell but we weren't interested because it wasn't the color we liked. But they had one that was the color we like and I made them an offer on it. My wife and I left but we left them our phone number, and they said they would call us. My wife said they were never gonna call us and take our offer. Lo and behold, we were home for 10 minutes and they took our offer.
The hot tub looks great in the backyard and the grandkids love it. The quality is great. I like that the hot tub has the modules that you put in for chemicals because we tend to leave for weeks at a time from hom, and that gives us the option to put a fresh cartridge in right before we leave so that we're not gonna have chemical problems on our spa while we're gone. We then come back and put the older cartridge back in and use it up and just monitor and add chemicals as we need them. So that's a big positive.
I go to Marquis and they’re as pleasant as can be and take good care of us. The one time I went in, I got to meet the owner and he was a great salt-of-the-earth guy. The people who own and run the company are in our same community, so I feel fairly good about it. The experiences that we had in the store were wonderful and the guys who delivered it and set it up were very knowledgeable. So, it's been a very positive experience. We got a deal that I was shocked that we got so we were very happy.

We purchased a hot tub, and the sales reps were good. The spa is of good quality as well, but the pump shuts off too soon, while the lights stay on too long. I like to leave the lights on to walk back in the house after I get out of the spa, but 15 minutes on that would be fine. When I'm sitting in the spa, I gotta get up every 15 minutes and turn the pump back on. There's no adjustment that I can figure out on that. We also had a little issue wherein there was a leak because one of the connections wasn't glued properly, but Marquis Spas came out and fixed it right away.

My experience with the dealer was good, and installation was expedient. I got the Summit, and it's got a lot of jets. It's the largest one and my grandkids love that. I use the spa every other day, and it gives me thinking time. There's a bit more upkeep for myself than what I thought there was going to be, but it has nothing to do with the spa itself. It has to do with the water, like keeping the level of the pH where it needs to be, and that's gonna be the same with any spa.
Reviewed Sept. 14, 2023
The installers showed up and carted the tub to the location that I had prepared and pre-wired. They placed the spa, connected it and filled it with water. They also walked me through the chemical process then shook my hand and away they went. We got a five-person spa that's circular in size, and we're quite pleased with the quality.
We've had our Marquis spa for two months, and what we love about it most is the ease of getting the spa covered on and off. It makes it that much easier to enjoy. It's not loaded with jets ‘cause we weren't looking for high-end jets, and it doesn't have a sound system either. It's a basic hot tub, but it fits our needs perfectly. It's given us a relaxation zone. We built a new home with a beautiful view of Superstition Mountains in Arizona, and it's a great conversation place to share the beautiful view with friends and family. All in all, we've been pleased with the experience. People should consider this as an option.

We're having a hard time doing the pH on our Marquis spa. They told me at the fair where we bought it that they were going to come out and get it going for us. But they didn't. They just came and set it up. So now, we're trying to figure it out. And we're having a hard time getting the water right. It's like all milky and I'm not too happy with it. We used the spa without a filter because I didn't know it didn't have one. So then I have to go get a filter from them. Their customer service was good because they wanted to sell. But you need to do your homework on the Marquis spa before you purchase one to know what you're doing and what you're buying.

I purchased a Marquis Spa for approximately 15k and put it in the same spot as my Coast Spa. After a couple of years it started making large spots of wear all around the spa and leaking. I contacted Albuquerque Spas who came out after a couple of months and we didn't hear anything from them, no commitment to their customers. Come to find out our claim was denied by Marquis for uncovering our hot tub???? We take care of our hot tub and the previous hot tub in the same location lasted 15 years. I am very disappointed in their product and their lack of service and empathy for our situation. I believe this was a problem with their manufacturing of their product and don't want anyone else spending so much money on a product they say they guarantee but do not honor their so called commitment to their customer. Buyers beware of this company unless you want to flush 15k down the drain.

My experience with their dealer has been pretty positive and they've been very helpful in understanding what different options they have from a product and a financing perspective. I called them a couple of times to ask questions about the tub and then they've been responsive. Also, they were very helpful in uninstalling an old tub that I had. They came in and took the old tub. We're happy with the craftsmanship.
Our tub has two sets of jets that operate at different speeds. There's another jet that is in the bottom. It's a high-pressure jet. We really like that. It also has lights and we have a lounge chair. The built-in cover is much more convenient to take on and off and there's a lock-in feature for that cover. A hot tub really helps decompress some of the muscles that tightened up and contribute to nerve compression and having one at home is very convenient for me. It also makes us use a part of our home that we wouldn't use otherwise. So far, we're pretty happy with the product.

I had a great experience with Marquis Spas previously. Nothing went wrong and the service was great. That's why I decided to go with the same tub. We bought a beach house, and it was a cut-out on the deck, so I had to get the same exact one. It was quite the ordeal to get it installed. We had to have a crane come in and pull out the other one. Our house is very tall, so there was no way to get it out other than a crane. It was a long process, but we got it done. It went well, and we love the tub. However, our experience with the dealer was not good. We're in a different area and the people are a little different.
When you're trying to tell somebody an issue and they keep trying to tell you that it's not that big of a deal, it's like the gaslighting thing where you say, “You're not listening. You can't have a hot tub where if you get the unit wet it doesn't work.” I was hoping the dealer would say, “Oh, I can see that would be really frustrating. Let me see what I can do.” Once I got upset, he had a guy out there that day, and I appreciated that, but to have to upset a customer, it was not good customer service at all. He was very frustrating, and he talked really fast. Also, we had to replace the digital portion of the tub, and it still isn't working that great. Generally though, we're happy.

Our Marquis hot tub is more comfortable than the other brands we had before. I like the ease of all the chlorine and mineral that automatically got little cartridges. I like that the filter doesn't take up quite as much room as our old one. The guy we bought from went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. He did a really good job. Last week, one of the panels had a nick in it, and they had called and wanted to know if we had decided on steps and to make sure we're still satisfied. As far as the installation, the owner came out and the other guy that does the service work came out and they were both excellent. It didn't take them very long at all. Everything was all wired up. They hooked up the spa. By the next morning, we were in it. It's excellent. Everything seems to work great.

We bought the hot tub at the spring home and garden show and we got a really good deal so we upgraded it quite a bit. It has MicroSilk, waterfall, and maximum jets and it's a three-person spa. It takes a little getting used to because with the old spa, we had a lot more control with the control panel. This one does it pretty much by itself. We bought our spa and then we went in about a few days before it was supposed to be delivered. But they had sold it to somebody else. They reordered another one for us and it took six weeks. They delivered it and it's a very nice spa. We like the way one person can open the cover. Also, I like the Microsilk and the jets. They're very therapeutic. But I wish they were a little stronger. Also, when I'm trying to take advantage of the jets, I float up and I have to fight to be able to stay in the position to get the jet on my shoulder.
Also, the inside of the cover is missing a plastic grommet. When I brought it to their attention, 'cause I was concerned about water getting in there and molding, all they said was, " "No, it's not gonna do that." They never replaced it. Additionally, the stair in the shop where we bought it, they actually opened up. I was looking forward to put my supplies in there. But what they sold us doesn't open up. So, I was disappointed about that. Other than that, we love the spa and we use it all the time.

We went to look at the Bullfrog and the Marquis, and we thought Marquis looked better. Also, it was a size we wanted to use on the back porch. We didn't have a lot of room for a big spa, so we got a three-person that would fit fine. Everything was on the up and up. The only problem we had was that they had some bad weather when we ordered it, and it delayed the shipment of it. We didn't get it as fast as we thought it should have. The guy came and put it down. We had to do the wiring ourselves because they said it was against their policy. So, we had to have an electrician and wire the 220 and all that stuff. We're pleased with our hot tub. It was built pretty well. We use it almost daily. We’re older, and it seems to help the joints. It's enjoyable and relaxing. We had a good experience.

The Marquis dealer still helps me out and answers all my questions. But the seat for the head rest thing doesn't fit right and it keeps falling off. A couple of my knobs keep falling off as well. Other than that, I enjoy owning my first hot tub. The ability to have a place to soak adds a lot to my house. I've recommended Marquis to my family.

We got the Marquis Resort hot tub and it fit the needs we had for the tub. The dealer was great to deal with. They were extremely knowledgeable and had a lot of expertise. We enjoyed the process with them. The installation was crazy because it was inside a screened-in porch and re-set into the floor. So, the dealer had to get a heavy piece of equipment in. They did that all and pulled the 800-pound old tub out. They then put a new tub into the side of the building and back into the same hole. I'm getting older and I'm a runner. The tub helps with joint pain and feeling better after I work out. We're very happy with it.

We put a down payment, and then the dealer waited for the Marquis spa to get delivered to them, and they booked a date with us. They came, installed it, and showed us how to use it. The quality is very good. We like everything about it. We have the Bluetooth speaker set up and the light package. The pad where you put in information, there are only two speakers there. I wish they had two in the back. I just want more of a surrounding feeling, not just coming from one direction. When I'm on the opposite side of where the speakers are, if I have the jets on, I have to have the speakers loud, which means it's loud outside of the hot tub. So, I’d prefer if there was a speaker by my head on all four corners, so then you don't have to have the speakers so loud. Also, a lot of people can't afford Marquis. Everything else, I love.

We live in a very rural Appalachian area. I needed somebody local who could actually fix the tub if there was an issue so we went with Marquis Spa. They delivered the tub and did an excellent job. They cleaned up all their mess. The hot tub I got has two pumps, lighting, and waterfalls. The LED lighting is a joke, though. It's three little lights on one side of the thing, which is enough to light it up, but it's nothing to get excited about. But I like the jets. The type of jets it has is really cool. It has these knobs so I can redirect pressure to different places and I like that concept but honestly, what runs doesn't make any sense at all.
