If you are considering a Kohler LuxStone shower, you need to understand one critical detail: you cannot buy this product directly. You are forced to use Kohler’s local "certified dealers," and if that dealer performs a terrible installation, you will be caught in a nightmare between the contractor and Kohler. We were sold on a premium product and a strict two-day "expert" installation timeline to accommodate our household, which includes a newborn and a young child. The reality has been a disaster.

I was sold a Kohler Lux stone shower in February 2026. I gave them a very hefty amount of money as a down payment and was told that someone would be in touch with me within 8 to 10 weeks to schedule my install. At about 11 weeks, I began calling the numbers they left me. I have talked to a couple of people who said they would call me back, but never did. I’ve left several voicemail messages at the different phone numbers they gave me, no one calls back for several weeks. Finally, the sales manager called stating they needed more pictures before the job could be started. He said someone would be out in the next day or so or he would come the next week to take the pictures himself. That’s been over a month ago. Still haven’t heard anything back and it’s now been five months. I have lost faith in this company. I just want my money back.

Wanted to put a shower in ASAP to improve accessibility. Like the look of the shower. The shower surround functions well. Base can be slippery with oil based skin & hair care. Appreciate the built-in storage. There is a disconnect b/t sales and installation since once the walls were open what we wanted would not work. The set up was designed in an esthetic fashion over function (no no since I was VERY clear about function). No follow up to see if there were any improvements I would suggest for other customers. Space is tight & this was crucial. It was being placed in the space of an existing tub & this was far too tight & I would not recommend in this setting. If it was at least 36" wide would be better.

Looks great, unfortunately looks do not reflect quality of workmanship. My disabled husband was hurt when a grab bar gave way and he slipped, hitting his head. The shower was installed 10/10/24, the repair for the bar was completed 6/10/25; approximately 8 months apart. Per work order “No tread lock on set screws, installed new set screws with thread lock”. The installer stated this should never have happened. All we received was a “sorry”, no real concern. Keep in mind I will be 79 in a few days and my husband is 75. Today, 1/4/26 the other grab bar is loose. When will Kohler take some responsibility?

I had a great experience with Bryan ** a Kohler bathroom sales representative. He was very polite, attentive, knowledgeable, informative of the family business and the products being sold. He made my decision to proceed with Kohler, to install my new shower, very easy. With the help of Chris, the regional manager, the price worked out within my budget. Awesome customer service, can’t wait to see the results.

Problems with my walk in shower after 1 year and costing 15,000. They do NOT call back when you call there. Very bad customer service!! They came once to fix the water flow problem and also the grab bar cap keeps coming off. Within a month or so the grab bar cap fell off again. I keep calling there to try to get them to come back but they never answer the phone nor do they return my many call to them

I've had a good experience with Kohler. They did my walk-in shower, and then I had them put in a walk-in tub. The price is a little on the steep side for some people, but they do have financing. Their salesperson was very friendly and not pushy. He explained everything and answered all my questions. It was a lot sometimes because I wanna make sure that I'm doing the right thing for myself and financially for my family. The installation guys did it very quickly both times. The first time, it was two days. They had to take everything out and they had to rearrange the drain also on this other one. But they were very clean about everything. I have no complaints.

I am a Senior who was looking for a Walk-In Bath because it was difficult to climb into the tub. My daughter and I talked with Jared ** who came to my home, and he stayed for more than four hours because he was determined to get the sale. After the sale and after giving it some thought I was a bit apprehensive, so I called the office and talked with Hannah to rescind the sale within the 3 days. I also called Jared ** and he yelled at me and said that I had already signed the paperwork. I felt defeated and didn't know where to turn. The charges of $22,450.00 were made to our accounts before the work began on 07/25/23. The tub is just basic with no health benefits whatsoever.

I gave them a check deposit for $4,000 bank on December 27th. They cashed it that same day. It’s been 4 months and No one has ever called me to schedule installation. No one will return my calls. I requested a refund and no one will return my calls. I’m 83 yrs old & live alone.

Appointment not kept. Message that Colin would be a little late turned into "I'm with a lovely old couple 2 hours away been here all day, many bathrooms, much details, etc. can't come today"" etc etc, much defensiveness, bad listener, somewhat hostile, etc. Given that these specific products are only available in the "vacuum cleaner/insurance/magazine style" of selling in the home I will go to Lowe's or Home Depot with my product discounts and have our excellent neighborhood contractor do the job for half the price. Sorry, no sale... (And I'll be forever curious about the fabulous, life changing products that I missed out on...)

Kohler's eps explained everything to me beautifully. They answered everything I needed to know. Also, the installation went good. It was two days. They did a good job. The shower looks very nice. The only thing that I'm sorry about getting the shower was I should have got the walk-in bath. But when I initially spoke to the sales representative on the phone, she told me that they drain slowly. I've been finding out through commercials it drains quickly. So, I would have gone with the walk-in bath instead of the shower. But that's all hindsight now.

A pair of Kohler representatives came to my elderly father‘s house to sell a walk-in shower to him. They made it sound amazing; the highest quality materials, etc. Six months later and the job is still not complete. There was a part missing on one of the shower doors, and they replaced it with a chrome part instead of brushed nickel. The caulking is uneven and looks tacky. Should a luxury shower even have caulking? The parts which hold the fixtures to the wall were not secure and the handle fell off when we turned the shower on. They did not put a foam backing behind the round part that attaches the handle to the wall so water was getting in through the hole in the wall. I feel like my dad got swindled into paying $15,000 for a mediocre job. We are so disappointed in the end result.

The Kohler salesman I spoke with was the best salesman I ever met. He was good. He wouldn't leave until he sold the shower even though I wasn't ready. The installation was okay, too. The only thing is, there are some things I would have liked to keep left in the bathroom and I don't know whether he threw them in the trash or what he did with them. But that's my fault for leaving them in there. One was a toothbrush holder and a new showerhead. I should have kept that shower head because the only thing I've got wrong with this shower is it puts out too much water. Feels good, but it’s raising my water bill. But I like the single-handled faucet. I only have one handle to turn.

The sales rep was good, and we were happy with the LuxStone. Two people came out to do the install and it took two days. They did very well. Overall, I'm very happy with Kohler. I've been in the hospital for two weeks, and I can't wait to get back into the tub. It has grab bars, a handheld shower and a non-slip floor.

The sales rep was good, and installation went great. It took a day and a half, and the walk-in shower is wonderful. I don't have to worry about falling getting in the shower. I would recommend friends to go with Kohler. They're wonderful to work with.

I called to get an estimate on a shower install and they won’t come out because the owner, which is my mother in law who lives in CA won’t be here. Seriously what do you care if you get the money. She can’t even get here due to health reasons so you won’t come out if I pay? Most ridiculous policy I ever heard of. Will make sure everyone know not to use this company. Poor service

Kohler Walk-In Bath came out and showed us what they could do, and that's what we liked. The two guys that came out were very thoughtful. I have a 93-year-old mother-in-law that lives with us and we wanted to make sure that she could get in and out of the walk-in shower and that the placement of the handles and rails in it would go where she needed it. And they were very patient. That was a big thing. Plus, they showed us what the walls would be like and how they moved it from being on the left side over to the right side and everything turned out fine.

A Kohler rep laid out for me what they had available, and once I determined what I wanted, there was a different salesperson that came by and measured and laid out what they would actually do for me. The arrangements they had for financing the bath were very good and easy. The actual walk-in shower is really a good asset for my bathroom. The crew only took a day to get everything installed. I found myself getting along very well with them since I lived in Brazil as a boy and the people installing were both Brazilian. I like that it's a walk-in bath. I have MS and I used to have a shower tub that was very difficult for me to get in and out of. So having a walk-in shower was a big improvement. I'm taking more showers.

The guys that came out to install were wonderful. I wish they were here 24/7. There was not a speck of dust. There was no confusion. They cleaned up after themselves on the first day. On the second day, they came in and installed the shower stall. It was perfect. You couldn't have asked for better. We absolutely love the shower.

So the new trend in the older generation is shower stalls. So naturally my mom wanted what she thought was best which is the Kohler product. 14,700.00 later (mind you her bathroom was redone less than 10 years ago) all she got this time was a new shower stall and all was well until you sit to use the restroom and look up and there's a MOEN seat smack in your face!!! I contacted her sales person via text Craig ** Design Consultant with pictures and questions but he can't be bothered to return the text or call.

The sales rep, Melissa, was very considerate, helpful, willing to make changes, and imaginative. We had a walk-in shower installed and it's perfectly what we wanted. We like the wall texture, which is a flat finish that is shiny and very easy to clean. There's no lift on the shower floor so we don't stub our toes and it's doing exactly what we wanted it to do. Kohler is a good company and we were very satisfied with their work.

The installers of our Kohler walk-in shower were here for two days. They got it in and they cleaned everything up. It looked better than when they came in. I like the double heads. Having a hand wand and a standard head with multiple settings on it is really nice. I also got handholds in there so I can take a shower without falling. I also got a stool in there to sit on.

We had a Kohler shower redone in our basement. The rep who did the sales call was really nice. He offered two things. One was that the shower would be redone. The other was a walk-in bath. We did not do the walk-in bath because they're terribly expensive and I had to weigh the cost. The bath redo was fine. The techs ran into a couple of problems but they kept working right through them. They had to take out the flooring because it was tile that had been laid on top of concrete. It required a big repair to get that done. They also had to do some pipe replacement. But they were very competent and nice. The bath has plenty of room. My family was here at Thanksgiving and they showered down there. They thought it was very nice.

The sales rep was very good. The the installers had a little more work to do than they originally expected because the shower they took out was about 18 inches longer. So, they had to get all the tile out and build a new wall. But they did a great job. The product is great. We got stacking shelves and the seat. We also have three handrails. So it's much safer.

The rep who came out looked at the old bathroom and explained what they could do for us. He told us we can either do a walk-in bathtub or a walk-in shower. He had a little suitcase with him that had all the different types of tile backgrounds and the designs you can choose and whether you wanted brass or nickel. He let us feel the difference between the Kohler brand and the other brand of what the faucet pieces would feel like. He was very well-spoken and explained everything down to a tee.

The rep was good and nice. There were two contractors that came over at 9 AM. They got everything unloaded, and then they started demolition. The quality of work was great. It's a really nice shower. It looks great. It's a lot bigger than the shower we had. It's a lot nicer too and it's working really well. But the process from when the guy came to our house to sell us the stuff to when it was installed was way too long. He came in April and he said it would take 12 to 18 weeks. But we didn't get it installed until the middle of September.

We were looking for converting our bathtub to a stall shower. We wanted something more natural. The best thing we liked about KOHLER LuxStone is it's a natural crushed stone, as opposed to other plasticky material. However, it took us quite a bit long for the whole thing. We placed in April, but we got the project done quite late. But I don't think they could help it either because everything was delayed. But otherwise, they were all prompt and responsive, no complaints there. The installation was good. Two guys came in and they covered the floor. They were very polite and responsive in taking feedback. Whatever we asked, they would reply back. We are enjoying the shower. It's good.

Kohler's sales rep, Greg, did a very good job and the installers were excellent. We also all of the features and safety aspects of our walk-in bath such as the shower attachment in the seat and the heat.

Our showers were really getting bad. It was leaking. So, I went on the internet and Kohler popped up. We've got Kohler toilets and faucets. So, I went with them. Their rep was great. It took about four weeks to get things done. Initially, it was gonna take 16, but they said they’d push through and because we only got the standard, they were able to push it through. So, I was really appreciative of that. I watched the installers, and they did the work in one day. It was really great craftsmanship. I was really impressed. The only thing is they said the base was supposed to be a non-slippery surface, but it was slippery. So, we ended up getting a bath mat.

Rubber guide for doors moves which causes doors not to close, and glass doors hit each other. Bad design for door openers. One knob for each door, should be 2, so you have one to get out. Got a 32” floor pan, so too narrow when you get grab bars and shelf.

Kohler is great. There was a delay in getting materials, but they kept me constantly informed as to what was going on with that. The day of installation was very smooth. They were timely and thorough. They cleaned up the area nicely. I'm very happy.

This is our secondary bathroom. Now that our kids are gone, it's just guests. So, we didn't want to spend an arm and leg, but didn't want to convert a tub to shower. Because Kohler is a Wisconsin product, it's American made, and we just looked it down and we're pleased with the people who came to explain what they had to offer. They kept us informed. We knew when they would be here. They were on time and professional. Class act. The shower worked well the first time.

I came across Kohler's website and I was kind of struck by how professional it looked and how simple it was to make an appointment and get a quote. They were so nice, I wanted to be nice to them and I felt safe having them around. I would recommend them to anyone.
