It has been reliable so far for 2 years and never an issue. Had one Kenmore microwave before for 15 years before it gave out and never an issue. They are worth the money and easy to use. I would recommend any product that is kenmore. Refrigerator, stove and microwave since I have owned all 3.

Turntable never functioned correctly. Clock does not work. Never worked from beginning. Defrost numbers malfunction. They said turn things manually every few minutes. Could not be fixed to work. Very aggravating to say the least, I will never purchase another one.

Controls are not confusing and are easy to understand. There are enough settings for all my needs and uses. Unit is just the right size for the over the stove use and easy to reach. It is easy to clean, the tray is a good quality glass and not too heavy.

It’s a microwave with convection built in, I use it more than my oven, convenient and easy from defrost to heating food or baking scrumptious deserts. It’s a great choice to work with, the settings are easy visible. Works like a charm, love it.

It's large and turntable works wonderfully. It hold my large 9x12 baking dishes. The power setting for reduced power does not work well! Difficulty getting 50% power intermittently ineffective. Other than that it is a good microwave.

This microwave was my Mum's and she had it for many years before she gave it to me 6 years ago! Great product that we use every day. Perfect size for our valley size kitchen. Dependable... highly recommend Kenmore!

It works great except for the glass tray that comes off track occasionally. It fits easy into the cabinet above the counter. Runs very quiet. Would buy again. It easy to clean and it is very light to handle.

I bought my Kenmore Elite Microwave Hood Combination model 790.80373310 in July 2018. It blew and I had to reset the breaker box a couple of times within the last three months. Little did I know that it would totally go out Friday, May 8, 2020. I went to the breaker box three times and it would reset but would go out again. I spent too much money for this including installation for it to go out in less than two years. Kenmore used to be a good name, but not now. I noticed some other reviews said they bought theirs in April 2018. Did the company sell to another company? Something went wrong. "BUYER BEWARE!”

The Kenmore microwave oven was installed by our contractor, new, April 2018. It immediately developed problems: blowing fuse, turning off immediately, etc. It was service five times in the first year. I think it should have been replaced, but no. Their warranty literature says it will be fixed or replaced but that's not how it works out. Most of the issues were with the design of the door latch. This I find is a common issue with microwave ovens. The servicer took over 5 months to figure it out and repair. Now the microwave oven is blowing circuit breaker again but it's out of warranty so Sears refuses to cover repairs or replace. Doesn't matter to them they they manufactured a faulty product. Once out of warranty it's screw you.

Bought in Apr. 2018, over the top range microwave. Worked well enough, but developed a short in it. Husband checked it out and sparks went flying. Warranty passed by six months. Very dissatisfied with this product. What is the life expectancy of a microwave?

I love the way it looks and the way it works. It is so easy to clean and so big inside. I have had this microwave for six years and have never had a problem with it. I will never own anything but a Kenmore.

Easy to understand and use. This microwave is powerful. We’ve had it for 21 years with a lot of use and it still works perfectly. The add one minute is the most convenient feature. The ability to adjust the power is also very easy.

This microwave is a dual machine as it not only a microwave but also functions as a convection oven with a combo function which I has not used. The buttons for different special items (popcorn, etc) works well. The reheat button allows a selection of different dishes.

The Kenmore Microwave was expensive when we purchased in 2015 but has proven to be reliable. Cooks foods evenly with the turntable. Easy to clean and easy operation. The black color looks good with our black appliances as well. Easy cleaning and well designed microwave and I would highly recommend the Kenmore brand to my friends and family.

I like ours because it’s also an oven. It would have been nice if there is a reasonably priced model that fits in a kitchen island or cabinet drawer instead of top of stove because it’s in the way while someone is cooking.

I use my microwave everyday. It heats evenly. I also love the sensor heating element. You key in the type and amount of servings and the microwave senses the length of time needed to cook or reheat. It is a hood microwave and the fan comes on automatically if it senses too much heat. I maintain the service warranty annually in case it stops working. It is very easy to clean and has quiet operation.

Kenmore over the stove microwave. Four years ago the handle cracked on the lower attachment point. So, I went online & ordered a new handle. I'm a retired Maintenance Master Electrician 47 yrs so replacing a handle should not be a problem. Ha Ha. Was I wrong I removed the door & the plastic trim from door, I gave up an hour later and called Kenmore for service. The technician came out & we both worked for another hour with no success. He said, "Let's order a new door." About 10 days later he came back with the new door. He said that he was very sorry that new door cost $300.00, that's half the cost of the microwave new. It was over $700.00 on sale. But what are you going to do? So I said yes.

He felt so bad he did not charge me for the service call. So now here we are on Sunday, my wife finds a piece of black plastic on the stove top. She looks & it's from the bottom on the handle on the microwave. It has broken in the same as the last time. I told that I was not spending another $300 for another door. So, while I was cleaning the door with alcohol, I found a crack in the door on the bottom to the left of the handle. I got some 5min Epoxy & have glued the handle. Remember there are only 2 people in this house & we are 70 yrs. old. I will be looking for a commercial grade microwave to replacement this one but I guaranteed that it will not be a Kenmore or a Whirlpool.

I bought this over the range microwave from Sears a couple of years ago. I thought that 1000 watts would be plenty. However most food that you buy for the microwave directions, usually state 1100 watt ovens. The food doesn't seem to stay hot as long as food cooked on the range or in a conventional oven.

My wife bought this microwave oven in 2014. It came with a set of dishwasher and oven. We have been using for a long time without having any problems. That's why I gave it such a high rating. The price was not bad. I would refer it to anybody who was looking for a nice microwave oven.

Basic but solid, had this 1000 watt model for 10 years now and is powerful and runs fine. This is one of the most basic models. It measures 2 ft by 1 foot high and weighs around 45 lbs. It has a rotisserie plate as well.

The microwave has multiple options and looks very nice. It heats the contents to my desired level and the turntable and size of the oven is very useful. The cost of the item was very reasonable considering the amount of options along with the quality of the oven.

It is an attractive over the stove model. My only complaint is that it sounds tinny when you open and close the door. It makes it sound very cheap. It is stainless steel maybe that is why ...who knows!!

I purchased a bunch of Kenmore Elite kitchen appliances from Sears 3 years ago - a gas range, a dishwasher and an over range microwave and hood combination. The problem happened with the microwave. When opening the door of the microwave recently, a peace of plastic from the edge of it got broken all of a sudden and fell on the floor. It was definitely not caused by us, or our inaccurate using of that equipment. We are very neat people, do not use the microwave frequently, just a couple of times a week and always very accurately. The problem was definitely caused by a disguised damage that the door obviously had since the beginning.

Our attempt to receive a reasonable service from Sears resulted in an estimate in the amount of almost $400.00 for replacing the door, while the total price of the entire new product when we purchased it 3 years ago was $499.99. We understand that our product is not covered with a warranty any more, but, assuming that the damage (a very unusual and caused definitely by a disguised problem), can the repair price provided to us be considered reasonable? Just after 3 years of a very gentle usage of said appliance? It is obviously that both the manufacturer and the Sears corporation are not interested for their products to last long so that the people have to buy new frequently, increasing their profits.

We are extremely disappointed and advise people not to purchase any appliances from Sears and avoid purchasing Kenmore products at all. Kenmore does not have a direct customer service, all attempts to contact them are transferred to Sears, while Sears representatives refuse to provide any reasonable help telling us that the repair price depends only on manufacturer. Once again, it's just 3 years of an extremely gentle, infrequent and neat usage of that microwave and we've done nothing for this to happen, however, now we have to make a choice between repairing it for almost the price of a new one or buy a new one. Our previous microwave served us almost two decades and we would still have it if not the kitchen remodeling - the reason we decided to buy a new one. We will never purchase any Kenmore product anymore, nor we will purchase it from Sears. People, be careful - Kenmore and Sears are not reliable!!!

I purchased 2 Kenmore Elite Microwaves in the past few years. They performed well at first, but Neither of them lasted much longer than 2 years. They started out great, then started steaming, then the door button would stick, and they got louder (even closing the door was loud), food temps would vary, slid on countertop when opening & closing, loud beeping when food was done. Eventually, they just stopped working all together. Very disappointing.
