What I appreciated most is that I knew I was getting work done by a reputable company and they did a great job. Through HomeAdvisor, they took the hassle out of searching.

This was my first experience using HomeAdvisor. I was looking for a reputable company to repair the deteriorating brick on my chimney. I was provided with 3-4 possible companies to do the work and after receiving bids, chose American Restoration. They were prompt, did expert brick work, were courteous and neat. The price for the job was fair. I have recommended them to a couple of co-workers who are also interested in having brick work done at their homes.

Repair of Dryer Door - I was extremely impressed with this company. From the immediate response to my post (within 10 minutes) to the arrival of the repairmen (within 1 & 1/2 hr) to the professional appearance, efficiency, and friendliness of all. I would call them again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend them.

Custom made to fit into my home. I am happy with the company I hired and if I had met them sooner they would have made my kitchen cabinets also. The wood they use is thicker than what I purchased and the price would have have been better than what I paid.

We originally called a big box home repair center for a quote, but that one came in much higher than I anticipated. After getting lost in web reviews, I decided to try HomeAdvisor. Within 15 minutes of hitting send (at 9 PM) I had 2 contractors calling me, and another 2 in the morning. Each came out quickly for a quote, and I was able to use each response to ask questions of all 4. With the help of reviews on the site, I picked the one I thought best fit our needs. They did a great job, and now I have a new AC company for our house. But I will be back when another area of the house needs work.

They gained my trust when someone they recommended did a good job and then I could not contact him. Advisor stepped in and had one of the people in my area examine my concerns and made the necessary adjustment at no cost to me. The original work was well done and passed all inspections but the company who did the work went in another direction. I would not hesitate to use HomeAdvisor.

Old floor covering was replaced with pre-finished wood and quartz tile. Dr. Floor did everything ask of them at the quoted cost and added tricks and tweaks I never imagined that displayed their professionalism and added to the quality of the installed flooring. Payment, a handshake, and a thank you seems very slight for the treatment and quality that I received from Dr. Floor. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Floor.

Had a new vinyl fence installed and a old wooden fence removed. We used CCT Outdoor Service and they did a outstanding job. We are very pleased with them.

We are having AC installed in attic but need to have the old duct work removed because the old duct work contained asbestos in the insulation around the heating ducts. They were the cheapest bid, arrived 10 minutes early and were professional. My only slight disappointment was they left our ceiling a little soiled with dirty handprints and they didn't clean it up. Everything else was covered and protected. We would use them again.

My hot water heater was leaking, so I knew it needed to be replaced as soon as possible. I went online and found HomeAdvisor (my first time using them) and was very pleased. Within a few minutes I was connected via phone to a plumber in the area who could handle the work. In addition there were several other recommendations provided. I contacted a total of 3 for estimates. I selected what I felt was the best deal and the business I chose was able to install the new water heater the next day. It was an easy and painless way to get a selection of qualified sub-contractors that had reviews and ratings I could read. I will be using HomeAdvisor in the future and recommending this service to family, friends and neighbors.

My experience with HomeAdvisor started out pleasant, but after they charge my credit card without my authorization, it has been a nightmare trying to get them to refund the money. They told me 7 to 14 days for the refund. It has been over 14 days and they still have the same excuse that it is being processed. All the customer service reps say the same teleprompted response but nothing gets resolved. They're quick to take the money and extremely slow to refund what is rightfully not theirs. I will never subscribed to this company because of their lack of customer service and going the extra mile to refund the money in a timely manner.

Inquired online. Selected contractor. Called him, defined project and made appointment which he kept. Work was very satisfactory. I previously used HomeAdvisor service for an electrical job and it too was handled very well. I strongly recommend them and will use them again if needed.

Repaired my AC. Now I have the coldest air. I don't recall this AC unit ever getting this cold. You can say one thing, he knows his stuff!

I needed time to decide, but I got emails with questions about who I hired every day. It was very annoying. I did hire and use a service, but it was about a week before they came. Still got constant emails. Same for after. I'm happy to provide feedback but prefer fewer emails.

We hired two companies recommended by HomeAdvisor. We were happy with the performance by both, although they were very different. Complete Tree Service removed dead/overgrown trees from a rental property we own. They were quick and efficient. Top Notch cut down several trees and moved the debris from our yard. Very hard workers!

Great work by Undisputed carpet steaming and clean air of Central Fl for duct cleaning... Gave free quotes, as placed on HomeAdvisor; and was very happy with them. However, with Prestige Electricals, it was not good... They offered a free quote for a tech who was in my neighborhood. Two days before their scheduled appointment day for the free quote that was set up through HomeAdvisor to check the airconditioning panel, he stated that he could not do anything for me and that an airconditioning tech should be contacted, which I did. Prestige Electric annoyingly sent a bill, although this was a free quote... Initiated through HomeAdvisor!!! Please take care of this!! Thanks.

This was my first time to use this service and I was impressed how user-friendly the interface with the request form was, and the quick response of possible service vendors for my project. Having customer reviews to read was helpful in deciding who to contact. I needed a quick turnaround and was successful in having the projected completed on time and by a qualified professional.

The plumbers from Heaton arrived on time and installed our new kitchen faucet in a very professional manner. But they were very nebulous on guiding our cost expectations and it cost us nearly $300 for just under one hour of service. We think that's just a bit too high a price to charge. They also attempted to charge the $45 "trip charge" on top of the service charge, although their website and dispatcher had already informed us that the trip charge is waived if you hire them for the service.

Hired a siding company (Carlton Matthews) to remove existing wood siding, wrap structure with Tyvek, tape & caulk windows and remove debris. We had an excellent experience with them right from the start. Carlton always responded in a timely manner and the crew worked together to get the job done. They did a beautiful job despite having to work in awful weather. I am going to recommend them to everyone I know and will use them again for other projects.

I was out of town when a storm came through and knocked a 50' Pine tree onto my roof. Shaw Tree and Logging was the first to respond to my request for service. While not the cheapest price, he was well within the normal range for the tree removal. Shaw Tree took care of the tree while I was still away. We settled up the payment upon my return. Highly recommended.

It's 4 PM now and the job is done. The work looks great.

The contractor (Lawngevity) found through HomeAdvisor was very good. Quick response time, excellent work, very reasonable price. Just as importantly, no surprises. Estimate showed a range depending on difficulty and contractor explained possible reasons for additional costs with breakdown of labor, materials, rentals. Job actually came in slightly below the low end of the estimate so no gouging.

I've used HomeAdvisor in the past and have had mixed results. The first thing is that immediately upon making the contact one's email is flooded by HomeAdvisor's email requests for response to the experience with the provider. Well, this request for response is too early - because until one has used that service one cannot rate it. The poor experiences I have had have been with Pro's that initially got good reviews, but then have taken to riding them and not keeping up the quality or level of service. I don't know how you propose to fix that - but it would be good. Thanks for this last particular referral. No Limit Roofing was good.

I feel confident in using more resources from HomeAdvisor's listings. I was also very impressed with the due diligence completed by HomeAdvisor before making their recommendations.

Generally satisfied. Believed three bids would be coming but only one company contacted me. But it was so fair I accepted.

I like getting three different estimates for a service and it's easy, fast and great way to save money. I put a negative review regarding the mentioned company from Port Hope, Ontario. This was completed in Feb. and we are now in April. The review still shows "pending." I wanted to make sure people knew that HomeView Services warranty was useless and Albert does not back it. He fixed a few things, but we had to fix the tiles that were chipping out. Also we contracted him for a second bathroom prior to the problems with the first and he was contracted for November while we were away, and he was a no-show until after we returned. He never made contact with my daughter.

Grooming Salon - I had a tub that would not drain. I have used HomeAdvisor for many years on a number of projects. I submitted an online request for a small plumbing project. The West Plumbing Company responded within minutes. I explained the problem and told him I needed the tub cleared before the afternoon. The representative said that he could be here within my time constraints. He called ahead to let me know he was on his way. He arrived at the time agreed upon. The rep went over the pricing before starting the job. He took the pipes apart, cleared the drain, replaced a washer, cleaned up and gave me an invoice. He was done within an hour. I was back to work.

HomeAdvisor offers many choices and great reviews. I have hired all of my project contractors or painters from this site.

I used Planitson LLC to mount a tv and a sound bar which HomeAdvisor had listed as a credible company to do such work. The project ended up being completed as good as could be expected. Very happy with the work and services.

Sod/lawn replacement. Put two companies on my list. Only AC Lawn Services contacted me. It was quick. They did a great job and were very professional and friendly.

I was looking for a mover and researched a few through HomeAdvisor. I decided on one that was rated 4.5 stars. What a joke. They were horrible! When I later googled the mover Yelp and one other site gave the mover one star. I called HomeAdvisor and they could care less. When I saw my review for the mover I shortly after saw a rebuttal from the moving company that was untrue. I again called HomeAdvisor and told them and received no satisfaction. I just wanted to protect the next person... more or less I was told... it is what it is... I think it is because the company pays HomeAdvisor and they do not want to lose the account.

I enjoyed working with your system and it definitely got me where I wanted to be - a good repair with a good service provider. There was a little confusion with the online appointment scheduler. The vendor called me within minutes of my signing up but we needed to change the day/time. However, the appointment system didn't catch up and that led to some confusion when I responded to an HA email indicating that I had rescheduled the appointment. It all worked out, but seems like it could have been avoided.

This is my first time using this service and, so far, I have had a great experience. I plan to use this service for other jobs I will have in the near future.

Had been seeking a landscape pro to remove old turf strips in a driveway and found it difficult to find a company that wanted a highly labor intensive project with not that much return. I contacted HomeAdvisor and found someone to do the work. The part I did not like is that HomeAdvisor gives your phone number out to these contractors and they start calling you. They have to pay for these leads so they are more aggressive and want to reach you before anyone else does. I also received names of those that were not interested in replacing the strips. That is why I utilize Yelp or Angie's List most of the time. I want to be the one who calls not contractors calling me.
