We had several plumbing issues to be repaired. HomeAdvisor helped us to quickly identify a great local plumber. In fact, I was contacted by the plumber within a few minutes after using HomeAdvisor and the plumber arrived on time at our house within 1 1/2 hours. In addition, the plumber was able to complete the work for over $100 less than he had originally quoted.

I googled irrigation repair and found HomeAdvisor. Found someone with great ratings, they called immediately, came to my home that day, found problem, fixed it the next day at a very reasonable price.

Lawn Father was extremely honest and did not do more work than needed to be done. He did not take advantage of us. We were asking for more than was needed. He made an assessment of the need and made the necessary repairs immediately.

I have used this service before and was a happy customer. Recently I was just asking for information and was harassed by several contractors. Please exclude every bit of my information from your database -- I will go elsewhere.

We were very pleased with the excellent job and professional attitude of the company, Powerwash Pro. They soft washed our roof and it now looks brand new again. The before and after photos are amazing.

Went online with HomeAdvisor because water pump quit working at my home about 6 PM. They connected me to company and I set 9AM appt. next day. They were on time and did a very good job. I am totally pleased and will use HomeAdvisor in the future.

I was really worried when I started looking for cleaning people because I was very very late in making the plan. However, HomeAdvisor was able to help me locate the right cleaning service within a couple of minutes and I ended up being very satisfied with the service from that cleaning company. I just wanted to see what HVAC dealers were in the area and within an hour of checking, HomeAdvisor had several HVAC people call. Dual capacitor was bad and repaired and checked within one hour or arrival and within 4 hours of checking on HomeAdvisor.

I am putting my house on the market, and was having trouble getting various service providers to call me back. HomeAdvisor offered me several options and then called to see if they worked. When a couple didn't call me they gave me more options and those people called me.

I asked for recommendations for foundation repairs in the morning. Within 5 minutes a company called me back and they came out and quoted the project that same day. That was on a Thursday. They completed the repair the next Monday.

I found HomeAdvisor when looking up someone to wash windows. Called and left a message and it was returned quickly. Rep from company came out that afternoon and priced the job and then scheduled the job for two days later. Great job! I will use HomeAdvisor next time I need to hire someone for a job I need done.

I would say HomeAdvisor did quite well. I was looking for two kinds of pros and find both on one response email each. I hired both and good excellent results.

As my husband and I were having issues with water flow and pressure throughout the whole house, we decided that we needed an expert. It was a Sunday late afternoon that I had googled "Well Service" in our area. Lo and behold, HomeAdvisor popped up on the list. I clicked the link, answered a few questions, then it generated Well-pump Services. Nevin ** did an "awesome" job on my Trex deck. I couldn't be more pleased. I know for the next 25yrs I will not have to worry about my deck. I am very impressed with his professionalism and attention to detail. Since the completion of my new deck all my neighbors now want a Trex deck because it looks so nice. I will definitely use Nevin in the future for my next project - my master bath. Great job Nevin.

I found the website easy to understand and explore. Two of the three business I was interested in called me back quickly. One came by to see my place and give me an estimate. The other negotiated over the phone. Both were professional and pleasant. I am very happy with my decision.

Was emailed 9 am appt. confirmation. Had made other appts. based on that. Contractors given 2 hr window. Had to reschedule other obligations last minute.

I have used this free service in the past and was happy with the results again. You will literally have firms call you within a couple of hours or even minutes.

So far, the contractors that we've used have been excellent! I love the fact that HA does not charge a monthly fee to access their listed contractors for one thing. The reviews are the most important part of the selection process which really act like referrals. We have our home plus investment properties, so this is a very good way for us to find contractors and to establish long-term relationships with those we've used. I do hope that HA will continue to maintain the quality standard and careful selection of listed contractors. As long as that is done, then I plan to be a long-term user of HA. So far, so good.

The business card says starting at $59 and this cost me $150 to snake the drain. It took about 20 min. Fidel was friendly, professional and efficient and took care of the slow drain. There has to be a cheaper way.

I had a great experience working with Howie ** of Heritage Floor Sanding and Refinishing. The estimate of cost and the timeframe for completion was spot on. The crew was on time, did the work efficiently and cleanly. The floors look 'like new' and I'm thrilled with the results. Howie was responsive to me if I had a question and his team was respectful of my home and its contents.

I have found more contractors through this site. The biggest plus was that the contractors have contacted me almost immediately in most cases. I am thoroughly satisfied with this medium and the fact that it's free!

After struggling for years finding contractors to do various things, this was the easiest and best experience I have ever had, and I've been doing apartment repairs for 35 years.

I had 16 inches of insulation blown into my attic at a cost of approx. $1.00 per foot. Best money I have ever spent. Job was done in a very professional manner. Employees were very courteous and cleaned up perfectly when done.

He was so thorough, looked everywhere, checking things, and he thought of things I never would have and explained all of it to me. He was prompt, polite and friendly, and did a great job for me. Requested house cleaning companies. Received 3 companies info from HomeAdvisor. Picked one to try and really like their work. Have scheduled that company for recurring work.

Technician knew how to mount the TV and Install components. He was professional and did a good job. Was very interested in leaving a clean environment after finishing his work.

The >40 yrs old 14,00 BTU AC was removed, which required a high degree of creativity and muscular agility. My new LG 12,000 BTU was installed. Jose followed his Mantra of (in the face of obstacles) NEVER STOP TRYING. He did the job 100% professionally, including cleanup, and disposal.

Both pros encountered unexpected surprises and both worked diligently to mitigate those surprises to get the job done right. Roofing King Inc., did an excellent job. They worked continuously until the job was completed. The crew were all very professional and courteous. Once the roof was completed, the crew cleaned up the area thoroughly. Without a doubt I would re-hire this company in the future.

One of the screen repair companies listed worked out extremely well for us. We are new to the area and didn't know the best way to find reliable service. Someone came out and walked through the front and back yard, gave us an estimate, and showed us some of their work. Once I called to schedule service, they fit me into their schedule within a few weeks. They were efficient, friendly, and cleaned up once they completed. Totally would recommend them.

They don't play around. You get contact information right away - follow up emails and appointment reminders. (That is good because my time is important to me.) HA follows up on your experience with contractor. So far I have had no bad experiences. I've used them 3 times in the past 3 weeks for small projects. Very convenient.

The only negative I have about home advisor is that even when doing research, your info is submitted to service professionals. I don't think it is fair to the services to give out the info (and probably charge for a contact) when someone is not ready to engage for a job.

I have used HomeAdvisor several times and it is the first place I start when I am considering a home project. I appreciate that there is a degree of screening of service providers, but frankly I really value the customer ratings. I don't just look at the number of stars, but the consistence and recency of the evaluations. Consistent 5 stars (with an occasional blip with explanation) in recent months, gives me some degree of confidence in the prospective provider. This is a good service which I appreciate.

RHK Environmental Services is an expert mold remediation company. They know what they are doing. They explained the process and were precise and professional with the remediation. The crew were polite and considerate. Having mold as an issue is very upsetting. Having RHK clear it all up is comforting.

Without writing a short novel on what happened, we will suffice it to say the job did not go as planned. An estimated 5-6 hour job turned into a two day project. Mike and Chris worked 12 hours on the second day to finish. They worked their butts off and took very little breaks. I was duly impressed with their work ethic and their professionalism. They were on time, extremely diligent workers and they cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend HomeSpec for anyone needing foundation work.

All the professionals I have hired through HomeAdvisor have been very good and excellent.

I had a leaky sink faucet and looked up a "qualified plumber" to fix the leak. Under the impression HomeAdvisor researches the backgrounds and qualifications of the companies they recommend. The kid that came out was the owner's son, no Plumber's License. He used a saw to cut the faucet off (while I wasn't in the room) and cracks my granite, got upset and tossed the heavy Delta faucet into my granite sink, cracking the sink as well. HomeAdvisor DO NOT guarantee their federal companies. They also DO NOT do background checks. Hired a tree trimming company. Background check: The owner has criminal records in Colorado and Wisconsin including 6 (six) DUI's, domestic violence, assault, 3 pages of criminal offenses. He carries no vehicle insurance nor company insurance. HomeAdvisor only gathers money from their federal companies. Obviously anyone can get a listing with them. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I'm very pleased with the help HomeAdvisor gave me throughout this project.

Maurice responded and came within hours of my initial request concerning my A/C not cooling properly. He was able to clean and replace the capacitor in less than 2 hours and went above and beyond by testing my unit's performance (though it is less than 2 years old), and assuring that the correct amount of freon was in the unit. I was a little surprised at the cost personally, but I figured it was because he came on a Saturday. Besides, having this done (regularly) will greatly improve my unit's efficiency and reduce my electric bill. I will definitely use him again.

I needed some light remodeling done in my home. When I went on HomeAdvisor and listed what I needed contractors were calling so fast that I couldn't answer all of them. All 3 contractors I met with told me that there was no background checks done on them, that all they did was ask them a few questions and they were listed as qualified contractors, and they had to call the customer so quickly because they would lose the client if they didn't call immediately. They even made calls to clients while they were meeting with me for fear they would lose their business. I actually picked the most expensive contractor, which isn't indicative of their knowledge. What should've taken a week ended up being a month, and a huge argument because the owner never came around to check on his workers, who were less than qualified. I'd never use HomeAdvisor again.

You recommended Epik as a Flooring Contractor, Nathan ** 316-469-4346. He was out twice because he lost the information when his equipment was stolen. However, NEITHER time did he come back with an estimate to do the job. Therefore I do not consider him to be a reliable contractor. The contract was given to Joshua ** who is contemplating signing with you as a contractor. I would HIGHLY recommend him. His price was fair. He is fairly reliable for a father with a new baby and has done an excellent job so far. He replaced the carpet in my dining/kitchen area with laminate hardware and it was done in 2 days except for Base Shop which we had to order and has not arrived yet. He is now working on a tiling project in the Basement Bar area and my Master Bath. I would recommend him over every other person I contacted, and I contacted 3, some of them twice.

I had a few projects done in my home, as well as estimates. HomeAdvisor was better than searching my local newspaper and using the local newspaper and telephone book. I had an awesome landscaper, drywall for a water problem, electrical for recessed lighting, and plumbing.

Was having trouble finding a repair person for a samsung refrigerator. They put me in touch with someone and it was almost immediate. Fridge was repaired the next day.

HomeAdvisor found me a company to handle an emergency well repair on a weekend. They called me immediately.

Only one recommendation for an electrical contractor was returned for my search to add a 220V outlet in my garage. I contacted several others, however, the contractor recommended by HomeAdvisor was the one I used and the results were exceptional.

Only 4 Referrals and all never wrote an estimate. HomeAdvisor need to constantly advertise on TV because they can't drum up enough business. Stay away from those companies. Their referrals come to your home, say they will write an estimate, and fail to do so. Real professionals they're sending to my home and the HomeAdvisor could only provide 4 referrals in my area. Well, when you can't get even one estimate, that is a real problem when you're spending over $10k on your home. I will find my own referrals. Thank you very much.

HomeAdvisor suggested several tree removal companies. I requested estimates over a 2 week period. I only got 1 contractors to respond out of 5. This was frustrating to not even get a call from the contractors. That they are too busy to come by. I am glad HomeAdvisor asked me what I thought if they were hired, if I was contacted, and other details. I just hope if the other contractors continued to ignore potential customers, HomeAdvisor would not recommend/suggest them.

AC started leaking into the house Friday night and our regular plumber wasn't available. Started checking HomeAdvisor's website, answered some questions which led me to Dr HVAC, LLC. Gave Mr ** a call, spoke right to him, told him a little of the problem and he came out on a Saturday afternoon, had the clogged drainage pipe fixed and cleaned the outside unit as well. Very professional and pleasant person. Will use his services again. My neighbor came along and requested his card as well.

HomeAdvisor was an excellent reason to find a pest control company that people highly recommended. At first I thought Conquest's prices were steep, but after I called two other companies found out that their prices were very reasonable.

DirecTV satellite began digitizing. Their techs would not go on the roof to repair it. They put it there two years ago! Found Blue Sky Satellite through HomeAdvisor and am completely happy with their assistance. Not happy with DirecTV.

Installation of new door involved installing trim to accommodate fit. New hardware installation was (as usual) more challenging as it required working with template for doorjamb. It was their first time doing this and kept at it until they had it figured out and installed to my satisfaction.

Found contractors quickly. Within a day the companies that I was referred to contacted me and the work was completed within 5 days.

The fact that I had contact and bids within a few days following my online request was surprising. I've repeatedly called contractors who have never called me back when using my own search methods. I went to the HomeAdvisor.com (HA) website and filled out the questionnaire online. After submitting my request to HA, about 15 minutes later, I was called by the OMTS & Sons dispatch. OMTS & Sons sent a guy out in 30 minutes. This was 8pm by the way. The repairman (Tony) was very friendly and professional. The repairman figured out what the problem was and fixed it on the spot. From the time I went online to HA, to the time the repairman showed up, fixed my ac, then left (little after 9pm), it was about 1 hr total time. Amazing, right? Ya I thought so too. Especially this time of year when AC units are going out all over the place. The charges didn't cost me an arm and a leg either. I would recommend OMTS & Sons to anyone of my friends or family needing AC work done. I'm very satisfied.

Asked for tree service companies. Received three names. One company called within 1/2 hour. Came the same day and gave me an estimate. This is the company I hired. I called one of the other companies to get another estimate. He seemed nice but only gave me a verbal estimate. Nothing in writing.

Accel was very expeditious in scheduling and completing the job of eliminating the hornets & their nest outside my 2nd story window. He was very knowledgeable about bees, was on-site, worked quickly and left within an hour. He also examined the exterior of the house and identified another potential problem. One of the roof louvers had no screen, leaving it accessible to bats, bees, and potentially other insects. This was very helpful.

I put in a request for A/C - 1 person called. Put in for handyman, no calls. Put in for tree service, 1 call and then 3 weeks later another guy called. I was like, "sorry done already". Put in for title work. 1 call. Still waiting on a quote that I was suppose to have last Friday. Also put in for pavers, I called then, they never called me and then also for a outdoor living area cover built by a contractor. 1 guy called on that also. So it would be nice if I got more than 1 or none calls when I have put in a need for someone to hire. Don't these men and woman want the work?

In foyer the grout was cracked and crumbling. Same in master shower. Grout and caulking in guest bath needed replaced. Also area in breakfast nook floor. Shower floor in master bath was terrible. Corey cleaned it. He fixed all the grout in the foyer.
