Blinds: This was my first experience with Home Advisor. Very impressed. I will be using Home Advisor in the future for all my projects. There is real value in having a pro come out and letting them do their thing. My days of DIY may be over.

I did hear from a few people within a couple of days. I hired one, and they did a very good job. The second one said he would get back to me, and he never did. I have also had trouble contacting the third one.

I had a small backyard landscape project and I really did not know what I wanted. Denise was friendly, personable and helpful in making a plan from the list of flowers I liked and her pricing was reasonable and affordable. I would recommend her work for your landscape project. I will be using her to maintain my new beautiful garden.

We didn't know where to find a concrete installer and HomeAdvisor showed us 2 options that eventually led us to D&W Concrete Construction. It was very easy and we were very happy with the results. We will be using Home Advisor again in the future.

I liked the reviews, the ability to schedule online. I felt more confident in having a stranger come into my home knowing that they had been researched and recommended by an outside reputable party. I will definitely continue to use the services of HomeAdvisor in the future.

The woman that answered the call was very professional. Explained the process to connect me with the right business in the area for the job. Put me on hold until she got the business on the phone to see if they could do the job immediately and they were able to and she connected me to the company.

I like working with HomeAdvisor. I answer the online questions and within 1 day I had my project (carpet stretching) set up to go. I will continue to use the service and have recommended it to several of my friends. They make finding a reputable contractor very easy.

We had painting done by Sam's Painting and was very please with him work. He painted our garage door and front porch railing. Since we hadn't used him before we decided to try him for a small project before we hired him and weren't happy. We hope to use him again in the near future.

When I unchecked the box for I want estimates, I expected to get a list of available contractors. Not a call from one. I think it is unfair to charge the available contractors whether or not they are hired. I would rather see a list that I can research and choose from rather than have the pressure of phone calls.

They recommended the correct business I needed. The businesses recommended were professional and I ended up contracting with one. Elite Concrete coating was very professional and did a great job. I would recommend them. Quality work on time and kept me informed every step.

I was able to get information about local electricians quickly and their ratings by other consumers. Went by those ratings and found them to be very accurate. Excellent experience. HomeAdvisor gave me several choices. I called the one closest and with the highest rating. The website was easy to use, and I will certainly refer to it again as well as suggest it to friends.

Delivered and spread mulch - Central Maine Property Care responded immediately, gave us a fair price, did a great job and got the job done sooner than later. I never used Home Advisor before and would do it again for other projects in the future.

Tree removal - They did very good job. Would hire them again as I wrote in my review. I also used Home Advisor to fix flashing on my chimney that was done by TPK Masonry who also did great job. I will use him again to repoint my other chimney in the near future.

Hired a repairman through HomeAdvisor to install gutter screens, restain deck, and replace vinyl siding. The company did a great job! I would use HomeAdvisor again! I would also recommend them to a friend or family member as well. Derek did a great job!

Plumbing - HomeAdvisor gave me a list of recommended professionals to choose from. The listed professionals did not have an available appointment for the day I needed them, so I was pleasantly surprised when one of them called within 10 minutes and asked when I would want them there.

Always wondered if this was a good site. We enjoyed the simple way to get a job done. They use master plumbers so you are assured of quality work and craftsmanship. Always check the website for the company they recommend. There is good background information and coupons to use off final bill.

I have used HomeAdvisor for several years and they have always provided excellent service. They make finding workers for my home so much easier. And because they do the background checks, I don't have to. Customer service is beyond excellent. I don't know how I managed without them before.

I feel more confident using pros that have been vetted by HomeAdvisor. I appreciate being able to see other customer reviews. My only complaint was that I asked for two bids and only one vendor contacted me -- but I'm happy with the one that did so.

HomeAdvisor made it quick to identify and contact different companies to get a free estimate. Also liked being able to check prior project reviews (if any were posted) and the license and bonded status of the company. From there I was able to go to the company home page for additional information.

Looking for pool opening help. I was very pleased with the company that I hired for the job that I needed. They were very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. However, I was not happy with the fact that there was a very limited number of referrals for my geographic area.

The gas plumber was almost perfect. He complies with the schedule and within 25% of the budget. Deck contractors/companies never presented an estimate for the work, they called, committed to coming but never show up to scope the work. It looks that HomeAdvisor does not have good deck contractors to recommend.

HomeAdvisor has provided us with two good excellent contractors, one for a new Electrical upgrade for our house and the other with a tree removal and stump grinding. Good follow up communication with each contractor with good pricing and excellent quality work.

The website is simple to use. Since I had one quick project, I wasn't interested installing an app, which other sites require. I quickly conducted my business on the web. I received a fast response with two well rated tree removal companies. I selected one and had the tree down the following morning. HomeAdvisor is simple, quick and free.

Replaced a/c unit- 2.5 ton Trane - When I requested info on several a/c contractors online, I was immediately contacted by JD Service Now. I had previously had visit from another company that I had done business with before but was not convinced by info given to me. HomeAdvisor has qualified professionals that can be trusted. I will continue to solicit HomeAdvisor for any work I may need in the future.

We had used this site in the past without positive results and that contractors didn't get back to us or they couldn't find a contractor for the jobs we needed. Lately though it's worked out well and have been very satisfied with their service. HomeAdvisor.com getting better.

Very easy to search for service providers to replace rock walkway with concrete. Provider information was adequate and easy to understand. Very good experience. Will use again and recommend to others. Email notifications are also good and meaningful. It's nice to know there is a website that makes finding contractors so easy.

Came here when my hvac guys told me there was no insulation in my attic. Immediately received calls from 2 highly rated companies and not so great. Scheduled the first highly rated one that could come same day, they did the work a couple days later and now my house is much cooler! Good experience.

I am so thankful for Home Advisor. 7 years ago I bought a 115 year old home, it needed repairs and I could not find any contractors, had to do 98% of the work myself. Finally I found Home Advisor and I am so glad I found them for a steep high roof repair I needed. I had already contacted 3 local business numbers I found in an internet search and nobody returned my calls. I posted my project on Home Advisor, they gave me a recommended Business, I was contacted by the business immediately. The contractor was there the very next day starting to repair my leaking roof. The other two gave me a written proposal on the spot, the one I chose even gave me a discount for being a veteran and over 65, something I had not expected. Fast and knowledgeable tech. The tech moved my wife's office furniture and computer from the second floor to the ground floor of our home. The office furniture included a desk, chair, and two file cabinets that are solid wood that were very heavy. This included the computer set-up, router, modem, etc.

Carpet Mill Outlet and their sales representative Eric ** are the best. The installers made the work (carpet install project) easy and pleasant. They are just awesome! We compared the price and time estimate with 2 other companies. They quoted very similar price, but their office members and sales representative were not as professional as Carpet Mill Outlet.

I have hired several vendors from HomeAdvisor for my home projects and they have never disappointed us. The price is right. The quality of their work is high, and they are overall respectful. It's easy to get other projects and award them to the vendor, but from experience, don't do that. I was stuck with a project for over a month because the vendor suddenly was not available, or another sub-contractor had not done their part and so on. If you need to award another project, it's best you start all over... This way, HomeAdvisor will keep a tab on them, and they know it.

He did a very good job in a timely manner and the price was very reasonable! He replaced an existing outlet for the dryer that had melted and burned and replaced the power cord on the dryer that had been ruined by the outlet. He did an excellent job!

After calling several fence companies, with no luck, I went online to HomeAdvisor. Most of the companies did not wish to contract for a small job, or if they did, quoted a price that was too high for the repairs needed. Our split rail fence was in need of repair (a few posts, rails which were broken from a tree branch). The Contractor contacted us quickly, scheduled the work the following week, did a quality repair, at a reasonable cost. Very, very satisfied.

Got a good pro from the experience that did a great job. However I did not get a lot of options after filling out initial information. I expected to see more options and/or have more "pros" contact me regarding the request.

Door and Frame replacement - Johnny and Tim worked non-stop. Johnny suggested a place to shop for solid wood doors at good prices. We paid at least 2/3rds less than what we were initially going to pay. There were a few snags where my husband had to go and purchase a few extras. Johnny told us ahead of time there may be a few items while the job was being worked on we may need to get. Always have a little money set aside for extras. Johnny will suggest ways to save money for the job by looking for what you need to buy from his past buys and purchases. My advice is to listen to what he has to say and act on it. You will save an insane amount of money and worry.

Needed a new company to take over monitoring and to evaluate my existing security needs. The equipment needed to be completely tested and the lists updated. The company that had provided the service in the past had gone out of business and I needed a new company to come in rather quickly.

We had a septic system replaced. Lindsay Construction handled the entire project from drawings phase through the Burlington County Health department final inspections. Upon completion they raked the area smooth. Seeded the entire excavated work site area with grass seed.

Both companies contacted me in an professional style and was very responsive to my needs with such short notice. Both firms inquire to my requirements with some detail on my request including time frame. The firms were polite and knowledgeable.

I like the by the task pricing vs by the hour but it seems to come in high especially to a handyman such as I am. But then again I was not as smart as I thought I was. I would caution on the up-sell for whole house and switch and outlet replacement but, if you have no idea how to do these tasks I would recommend it and the whole house surge protection as well.

The first guy I hired was not handling his business very good and he made me chase him down for almost a month with empty promises of getting the job done. Then I tried another company and they were phenomenal. They got the job done from inquiry to finished product in 3 business days. I think HomeAdvisor needs to remove the slugs to save the consumer headaches.

Gas leak inside our fireplace. This was the second time gas company came out, did not find it the first time. Atmos gas company increase the pressure which was able to find the leak. We did want to break up our fireplace so the plumber brought in another (much smaller plumber) to crawl in the attic to cut and seal the pipe.

I was looking for a pro to install a new ceiling fan on an 18 feet tall ceiling. They did an incredible job. They were punctual and very professional. 2 technicians with a 16 feet tall ladder, installation and assembly included... I will very much recommend this company to all my friends.

HomeAdvisor connected me to a family owned and operated appliance repair company in Georgetown that I highly recommend. They came to South Austin on time twice for my dishwasher repair. I got great service and education on my Samsung appliance.

I was very pleased with the service and craftsmanship that I received. The handyman and his assistant were both very mannerly. Their craftsmanship was impeccable. They had to totally rebuild a porch column and paint it. It looks identical to the original post. They also repaired my a/c concrete pad. I was pleased with both projects. RNT Appliance Repair set up an appt. quickly for me. The owner, Ryan, came out and did a great job. He was polite, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. The site itself is wonderful, well organized, well thought out. The problem is actually accountability. I keep getting folks connected through HomeAdvisor that agree to a job and then either never call back with the appointment or simply don't show up. Right now, you don't review if you don't hire. But I think a no show after agreeing on a project is just as bad. It wastes our time while we wait on a no show. Or we stop looking because we think we found the folks we want.

For the roof repair, we were satisfied with the quick responses and the quality of the businesses from who we received quotes. I was not sure if I could trust the comments, but they seemed to match the experience I had. For other work for which I have reached out to HomeAdvisor businesses, I did not get as many responses.
