I have used HomeAdvisor several times and always had great satisfaction with the work done by the Pros. The appliance repair service I used was very helpful and I will use them in the future if needed. The technician came out 3 different days: once to assess the problem, the next day was to install a part, and the 3rd day was to check out a problem that occurred right after he left the 2nd day. After discussion about the issues with the washer, my call was not to put any more money into the repairs because a computer board was needed and that would have been more than the washer was worth. The technician was VERY helpful and honest about the situation.

I have already recommended HomeAdvisor to several friends. The entire experience was positive and I hired someone after using your service. It was user-friendly and had good information about each vendor that allowed me to make an informed decision.

I loved using HomeAdvisor. This was my first time. I was looking at online ads and stumbled on HomeAdvisor and thought, I remember the commercials and couldn't believe I forgot about them. Clogged bathroom basin. HomeAdvisor is a great service. The website is easy to use and informational. The office personnel were courteous and prompt in communicating when they needed. They office called 45 minutes before the plumber arrived. In some businesses, the call doesn't happen. Plumber was on time, courteous, and knowledgeable. Very friendly.

Wizard Roofing & Asphalt called almost immediately and had both of our jobs done within 5 days of the call. They were a great team and easy to work with. Both of our projects are complete and we love the final products. Will definitely use them again if we have another project.

Cleaners were professional, neat and clean in appearance. They cleaned with natural products that smelled clean and fresh. They worked the entire time they were here, did a wonderfully thorough job, and I will recommend them. Will Definitely hire them again!

Brady was a stud. He did repair on two projects but had difficulty with the third project which required a return visit. He did deduct from the quoted price for the third unfinished project. I was very pleased to see that. Just out of nowhere after contacting Delta Faucet for the third time, I was able to fix the third project on my own. One in a million chances...but I did it!

HomeAdvisor hasn't failed me yet. I've used HomeAdvisor 3 different times now and have had a great experience each time. I like the fact that when you hit the button to find help, the company you choose calls you immediately.

I was looking for lawn service for my new home as I just moved into it 3 weeks ago and the lawn needed to be cut/edged. I tried using Craigslist to find a lawn service but I kept getting ridiculous rates as high as $60 to mow/edge my lawn. Coming from California where the cost of living is way higher than it is here in Texas, I paid $25.00 a week for a guy in California to mow/edge my lawn and my lawn there was 3 times the size that it is here in Texas. I expected the lawn service to be cheaper here in Texas... Nope.

Adams Installations quoted $125 for what we counted seven burn holes in the carpeting in the living room. They found 18 burns, some very small, hard to find with old eyes a new defective eyeglasses. They repaired them, a badly frayed edge and stretched the carpeting for the same $125. Excellent results and real professionals from out of state.

After I posted that we needed immediate help, we received 3 phone calls offering repairs. HomeAdvisor automatically connected us with repair serviceman, who came within the hour and saved tremendous upcoming damage from water entering our home. HomeAdvisor did more than we expected.

The technicians came very quickly. They were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. They fixed my washer (found an old sock stuck in the drain). They worked quickly but not in a hurry. The price was fair.

Network installer - HomeAdvisor is a one and done service. They had 3 professionals call me within an hour and I had appointments for estimates with 2 of them in the following 2 days. Insured, bonded and high quality work was provided.

I filled in a request for this job online and within 1/2 hour the 2 services local to that area had called me to offer their services. I was impressed by the quick response. I called both. I chose one that had a larger crew as I knew that would be more appropriate for this job. They did the job well and I have been pleased with the entire experience, especially since I had to do all of this by long distance.

This was the first opportunity I had to use HomeAdvisor. I had seen them advertised and thought of HomeAdvisor as a sort of "free" version of Angie's List. There were 2 businesses recommended for my project in my area. I would have preferred more. Although I didn't recognize either company I had some initial trust for the HomeAdvisor process, so I decided to give it a try. I was very pleased with the work performed and the price charged for parts and labor were very fair and reasonable. I will definitely use HomeAdvisor again.

Kitchen plumbing problem. My first experience with HomeAdvisor was great! I am very happy that it was so easy and fast to connect with a professional who has been screened by HomeAdvisor. Great communication and service.

He was very knowledgeable of the services needed while installing the antenna. They were courteous at all times and did not waste time in completing all task of the install and was willing to take time to explain directions for each service. All looks good so far and left contact if I had questions of the services.

It was difficult for me to find a contractor for my project. Friends' recommendations lead to busy contractors with no time for me or disappointments with contractors that did not really want more work. It wasn't until I tried HomeAdvisor that I finally was able to get someone who was professional and willing to work.

Erik and Casey from All Star windows and gutters showed up on time and did a great job. They were very professional and easy to work with. I am so happy with the results. I found them thru HomeAdvisor, read their reviews and when he called me I was all set to go. Thanks for the help HomeAdvisor.

Avoid HOMEADVISOR.

HomeAdvisor's computer system, like many others, enters default locations based on your zip code, without allowing for an alternate entry. Customer Service couldn't even override and correct this entry. This "glitch" put my project almost 15 miles away from our actual location. Hopefully, during their next system upgrade, this can be addressed.

My previous plumber simply would not respond to my calls. Went online to HomeAdvisor to see what I could find. Chose the nearest plumber recommended. Got a phone call from them within 15 mins of filling out the form, had an appointment the very next morning! HomeAdvisor and Mark & Sons Plumbing SAVED me!!!

The company I hired did a great job trimming 3 trees in my yard that had grown out of control. The only setback was they were delayed getting to trim my trees due to a job that lasted longer than they anticipated.

Jeremy provided great quality at a great price for the garage floor coating I purchased. I had two garages and while one was loaded with my stuff he worked on the other, he worked around my schedule. He was very accommodating and easy to work with. He said he was going to arrive at a certain time and do a particular task that day and he did it. There was no mess left on the job site, he cleaned up after himself. You need to get a bid from Jeremy.

I will definitely recommend Action Concrete to my neighbors, friends and family. Now I don't have to worry when I have additional home repairs since you have found me an A+++ contractor. I was well pleased with one of the recommended companies (Southern Leisure) and I did hire them to replace my roof. But the second company recommended turned out to be unreliable. This is why I only gave 4 stars. Overall I am well satisfied with Homeadvisor.

Service tech removed & replaced a faulty 50 amp breaker in less than 20 mins. He was friendly, knowledgeable and on time. The cost of repair was very reasonable too. I will not hesitate to call upon this company again in the future!

I had tried unsuccessfully on my own to find a local reputable furniture re-finisher. HomeAdvisor connected me with a master craftsman who has completed high quality work on pieces of furniture in my home. This craftsman was the best I have ever worked with. I will now be enlisting the help of HomeAdvisor to find a local flooring export to complete work in my home.

You can believe this. I called more than fifteen appliance service companies and was told, "Sorry, we cannot help you". Less than a minute online with HomeAdvisor and the appliance service provider called me (within 20 seconds of my request). This is an unbelievable level of service, but you can believe it!

They came on time, worked all day, cleaned up the yards and I will now see how they do on a regular schedule. I have hired the contractor to do my work every two weeks. We will see.

Cleaned out the clogged 4 inch sewer line that needed nearly 80 feet of of snake line and I got to look at the roots growing in the pipe from his camera on a monitor. Mark is coming back to use the water jet to remove the roots.

I recommend Homeadvisor.com to find contractors for 1-day projects because those are the only projects that I have experienced. In each case the work was done as contracted, on time and at the price that was agreed upon.

Service was professional, knowledgeable of mounting options, thorough, and neat. Business owner was very pleasant and accommodating. Included installation of special mounting unit for electronic boxes and through the wall power. This kept power lines from visibility.

HomeAdvisor sends leads and charges for leads which are not within the work area you are looking for, they charge your card for the wrong lead and do not issue refunds. This is a site that rips off the contactor. BEWARE.

We needed an electronic (invisible) dog fencing on our new property for our 2 dogs. I inquired on HomeAdvisor, and within an hour a gentleman from Dog Guard called to speak with me and arrange a visit to give us a quote. After considering a chain link fence, we decided on the invisible fence. Dog Guard was prompt in their quote, and their install.

I call homeadvisor.com looking to hire a brick layer.They set me with person that was supposed to the best. Well that soon became a disappointment. He was to start the job on a Saturday at 1:30 pm or at least come by and looks at the job. He never showed up, so I call him to see what's up. I got voice mail & left a message for him call me. He sent me a text message saying I needed to check my email. Needless to say that I didn't get the mailbox up. Then I tried another one Homeadvisor professional guys. I never could any communication from they. And again no mailbox. I'm in this field: Proper Handyman Service. I know I can't stay in business by treating clients that. What I say is what I deliver. Now the best forget the rest.

Received multiple calls from vendors on requests, easy way to get estimates. HomeAdvisor staff jumps the gun a little with calls to find out how the job was... in my case jobs weren't even scheduled yet. That was a bit annoying. Suggest they contact users for completion dates and then contact via phone/email.

Mr. ** the owner of GreenLand Contracting LLC was very informative about the work being carried out which put my mind at ease. He gave me a very fair quote on the price and was efficient, provided excellent customer service, as well as provided me answers to all my questions. They showed up on schedule, performed work as agreed with great attention to detail. The owner of company was on site during work, and provided great follow-up after project was completed and cleaned up work site area daily during project. The finished product was a fabulous job and my wife and I were very happy with the results.

Very professional carpet cleaning of 7 rooms in a two story house with narrow stairs. Carpets had not been cleaned for years. Eric took care and spot treated areas in need and steam cleaned all carpeted areas. He is respectful and a clear communicator, on time, outstandingly clean results and reasonable price. I chose the one where the company owner showed up to give the estimate. He was thorough and didn't try to up-sell me on any other work. I had no difficulty getting a response from HA and was in contact with a contractor, who we subsequently hired, within an hour. This is quick in anyone's book. Their service was easy to use and didn't have an excess amount of forms and job descriptions and other barriers to getting to the heart of the matter. This is the second time I've used HA in Maryland. The first time I was not impressed as none of the recommendations called me to set up estimates. But a HA service rep called and asked how the service was working and I told him. I started getting calls immediately to get estimates for that job. This time it worked flawlessly. I was extremely happy with the work that Victor ** did on my home yesterday. He was thorough, neat, and timely. He also gave me wonderful information on preventing the drain stoppage I had. Sump pump replacement - Came on a weekend at no extra charge to do estimate. Arrived when scheduled. Thought the price was a bit on the high side...had we had more time, we would have looked around. But Jim was very nice, seemed competent, answered all questions, and compromised on the estimate when the job did not take as long as estimated. So...all in all, a good experience.

These guys from JunkFree and the owner, Tony... they were entirely awesome. Within an hour of searching for an architectural engineer to complete a project, I was contacted by one in our area, whom I eventually hired. However, there was no "hard sell". He just introduced himself, stated his qualifications, answered a few of my questions, and then left it up to me. I was more than happy with my decision.

Remove and replace original lighting. Install electric plug. Install towel bar, install shelf. House was built in 60's. No GFI plugs. Installer upgraded bathroom to GFI. Installer had to cut into dry wall, repair it and then paint it. He did an excellent job.

HomeAdvisor lead us to a bad contractor. His contractor license was yanked and he owes 50K to unhappy homeowners. I plan on filing a lawsuit against HomeAdvisor for not checking out this contractor. He was using a false license.

I "stumbled" onto HomeAdvisor when looking for a repair specialist for my solid surface counters. Had never heard of them before. My experience has been fantastic (with the exception of getting a lot of advertising emails) and the pro I hired was amazing. I would definitely use HomeAdvisor when looking for my next project assist!

Stan did a beautiful job installing my sliding glass door as well as rehanging a back door. He pays great attention to detail. DO watch out for the difference between his verbal estimate and his written estimate. Also keep in mind that he is a one-man operation, so, unless your job is an emergency, expect to wait up to a month for your work to be done.

I found water nearby the base of the toilet in the master bathroom after flushing the toilet several times after having been away for several weeks. Several plumbing companies were recommended. I contacted several and one was able to make a service call that same morning. Always Affordable Plumbing was able to determine that there really wasn't a leak and did not charge me for the service. I would recommend them.

The roofer was excellent, but your system of having to log-in first was a real nuisance and wound up taking me about 20 minutes to set up a password that was acceptable to the system, and a username. I almost gave up halfway through. So many websites are like that.

I found it very useful to have the names of the three painting contractors provided by HomeAdvisor. I contacted all three and choose the one that seemed best suited to our needs. I was not disappointed with the result. I will use HomeAdvisor again when I do not already have a contractor in mind.

I went to HomeAdvisor looking to have my bathtub/shower unit taken out and replaced with new. That was my first mistake!! I had gotten two estimates, I went with the cheaper one, mistake two. The company was Bath Design, it is a franchise business and this was not what I was looking for. I was looking for an independent contractor. I saw the owner just once, he text me several pictures of the bath and shower installation, which was not what I got. Next I had two guys who ripped out the old, unsavory characters. Next the plumber who I don't believe has a plumber's license, bad feeling about this charter. The installer again did their job however not professional. When job was done bath/shower unit and tile just plain white, looked like it belong in a jailhouse not residential home.

We called HomeAdvisor and the rep hearing how critical it was to have the repairs done quickly gave us the direct phone number to the contractor. David & Jason from Florida roofing & waterproofing promptly responded and provide a reasonable estimate & completed the repairs quickly preventing further damage. We are extremely satisfied with response & work performed.

My stated request was to get the highest rated repair company to do the job within one week (the minimum time offered). I provided the info asked for within a few minutes. HomeAdvisor then promised to connect me with a supplier within 2 minutes, and did so. Within the next hour and a half the dispatcher had sent a properly equipped repairman who accomplished the mission, and was on his way. Couldn't have gone better.

Not sure how but it would be nice if those not interested in doing the work could be removed.

From water main being re-routed through house walls to center of home location we had several large holes, also we wanted our garage ceiling sheet rocked. Mr. ** was chosen through HomeAdvisors' list and we were completely happy with his personality and especially his work ethics. He was efficient, clean, professional and worked until done.

Insulation in a garage conversion - Applied 1 inch closed cell expansion foam to 805 board feet followed by 2 1/2 inches of open cell expansion foam on the walls and a total of the two products applied thicker on the inside of the roof. The work crew then very neatly sawed and scraped the insulation back to allow the interior walls to be installed.

After receiving false leads, 6 leads sent on a call, and just simply receiving so much cost on leads that just did not exist I decided to cancel Home Advisor. I stopped using them and asked that they remove my company from their company database. Home Advisor refused to remove my company from their database but continued to use my company name to draw in other business off my company name.

This whole repair project was stress-free from beginning to end. Richard of Best Appliance Repair was professional, honest and knowledgable. He fixed the refrigerator at a most reasonable price. I highly recommend this business for their integrity and expertise in their field.

I have a very specialized construction business. They advised me on which category to be put in. I kept getting leads that were not related to my business in any way. They said they would credit my account and put me on a "Lead Select" program allowing me to pick and choose my leads. None of this happened. I did not get any credits nor was I put on that program. I closed out my account and they refused to credit my account for the leads. Not one of which was related to my business. Instead of communicating with me they sent me to collections. I tried to do this amicably as not all things work in the business world. They chose this route so I am making sure everyone is aware of this questionable practice. There are much better lead generating companies out there. DO YOUR RESEARCH.

Camera Installation and Security System Upgrade and Additions. Not only did Llomar install a new wireless camera system, they upgraded our very outdated and nonfunctional security system. They did a fabulous job and added additional security measures we previously did not have. They were terrific to work with and had great customer focus. They recommended and added wireless sensors to the garage and heat detectors in the attic and garage for protection where we did not previously have any. They repaired and replaced much of our old security system and we now have a wonderful sense of security when we close up the homestead.

Electrical trouble shooting. We are happy to give this company a 5 star rating. Timely, polite, careful and patient while teaching an older couple. Although your site/application said there were no openings until Wednesday, we had our problem taken care of before dinner time. Thanks.

Luis from Alpha Bravo Septic and Drainage came to my home, gave me an accurate estimate of the job to be done. I hired him and he came back and completed the job. Service was prompt, courteous and work was excellent. Would highly recommend Alpha Bravo and will use HomeAdvisor again to get recommendations for providers for my next home project.

I have not always had great success with HomeAdvisor, but USUALLY I do! The contractors that don't work out so well will always get an appropriate review, but it's nice to have comments and reviews to look at prior to making a decision on who to hire.

This is the first time using HomeAdvisor for a job. I appreciated the multiple businesses sent to me online to review for the work we needed done. I only have two issues with your service: I did not care for having companies calling me directly. I wish I would have had a choice of whether they needed to call me or email (if it was there, I didn't see it). When filling out the review for the company we ultimately used, I would have given you the cost of the job except you did not spell out whether that would be shown to the public or not. If it was for an estimator for yourselves that would have been fine but it isn't anyone else's business how much we paid for the work we had performed. Besides, we had a LOT of trees trimmed. The amount sounds really high unless you know that. With all that said, thank you for your HA service. We will be using it in the future.

He spent 3 hours, still could not figure out the problem. Replaced some parts in AC and tried to convince us that it should work. Took his money and left. HVAC was still not working and we had to hire someone else. Luckily, the second person - Air Quality HVAC, that HomeAdvisor recommended seemed experienced and they recommended we replace our entire HVAC system. Since it was scorching hot in the house, and after hours, we agreed to have new hvac. Air Quality HVAC LLC was pricey and we seemed little ripped off, but we were so happy to have cool air in the house finally after 3 days.

The builder was Snell Fence in Bedford, VA. On one page HA has stated: 28 VERIFIED reviews; On a subsequent page in small print they write: "HomeAdvisor allows service professionals to post information about themselves and their business on their profile. HomeAdvisor does NOT review or VERIFY information set forth in those profiles, as they are self-reported by the Service Professional".
