I wrote a very negative review on HA in October of this year regarding my experience with On-Demand Appliance Repair and have never seen it posted on the HomeAdvisor Customer Reviews page. In my opinion, HA screens and eliminates negative reviews. This company is presenting itself as a service to consumers but by not posting negative reviews it is not helping consumers at all and is not fulfilling its purported service.

I was able to find the best pro by using HomeAdvisor. Fast response, efficient and offers a wide selection of professionals. I highly recommend using HomeAdvisor. After doing tons of research and dozens of extremely highly priced bids, I was lucky to come across a licensed technician with 30 years of experience. I couldn't be happier with my choice; he beat any of my previous biddings and I am extremely happy with my brand new in the box, 5 TON/14 SEER A/C unit, 10 year parts warranty, 10 year compressor warranty, 2 years seasonal maintenance, new programmable thermostat at a competitive price and customer services.

HomeAdvisor always sends good contractors to me, it is up to me to rank them. I just completed 4 big projects scattered around the US totaling $17,000. Seamless gutters, HVAC, concrete, and insulation. Every job was done incredibly well for a fair price, and all of the contractors came through HomeAdvisor.

I moved into a new home and have used HomeAdvisor for several projects. I chose the contractors that had five star ratings, and every single one was excellent. HomeAdvisor also provides information regarding cost, which is very helpful. I will continue using HomeAdvisor for future projects and work. They are an amazing service.

HomeAdvisor is a wonderful service and they do a great job of vetting the companies they represent. They are very thorough with their information and professional. We have already used their service to contact a painting contractor and a pointing worker. These projects will be have to wait until the Spring.

They found us a wonderful contractor to fix a crack in our granite counter top. The work was done the next day and the contractor was on time, professional and did a perfect job. It took me some time to find a repair person so I am glad that I was able to use HomeAdvisor to help us out.

Very satisfied with Aaron's work. On time and the job was done correctly. He was friendly & approachable. His price was reasonable. He called me to tell me he could show up to do the work a day early which was admirable. Would definitely recommend Aaron to other homeowners.

Used service for toilet installation and ac service. The plumber helped with a toilet that I installed but had leaks. The ac service provider replaced the compressor and evaporator coils due to the incompetence of the hvac techs that worked on the system previously. They had mismatched the refrigerant ratings on the compressor and evap coils. The ac tech we got through this service worked with us on price on replacing the condenser and evap coils. We are very happy now.

We've been using HomeAdvisor of the past year or so. It's a great resource to find good contractors. You still need to do a bit of homework based on your needs and comfort level of your project. I have recommended HomeAdvisor to friends and relatives when they ask advice on home projects.

I was in a quandary about who to hire for my new dishwasher (and microwave) installation. So, I took a chance with HomeAdvisor and I was amazed that literally within a couple minutes, Matt, from MD Appliances, called and was able to do the work the next day! He was highly skilled and exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend HomeAdvisor and will definitely contact them in the future for all of my home maintenance needs. :D

At around 6:00 PM yesterday, we realized that our furnace was not working properly. By 6:15 PM I had a service request posted on HomeAdvisor and by 7:00 PM I had an appointment. Today, the technician showed up on time and fixed the problem rapidly.

Fast response by Steve of CenVacs. No delay. Fixed -- nicely -- the same day. The job was done well at a fair price. Contacting Customer Service went well -- they walked me through what I needed to do. Everything went well.

We have a house in Boynton that needed A/C repair. I looked on the internet and clicked on the Boynton A/C repair site on HomeAdvisor. After I entered my info I received a call within minutes. I was able to find Excel Mechanical and they were wonderful. I wrote a review and will let others know to check HomeAdvisor when they need any kind of Home repair/work done.

HomeAdvisor was quick to respond to my inquiry for the job I needed done. If all of their pros are as good as the pro I chose, you will not be disappointed. They were also quick to follow-up to check on my experience. I had submitted many inquiries and they answered right away.

I called HomeAdvisor and asked for an electrician and before I had a chance to hang up the electrician from E and J beeped in. He very quickly identified the problem and eagerly went to a local hardware store to pick up the part needed to complete my job. Then after fixing what needed to be fixed he helped install a few extra face plates to make my kitchen look better. Then he explained why the problem happened and how to avoid it from happening again.

HomeAdvisor connected me to several qualified repair services for my hurricane shutter problem. The process was simple and fast. The many customer reviews were very helpful in my selection. The HomeAdvisor representative confirmed the service availability per my schedule. Would definitely use HomeAdvisor again.

I chose 3 companies recommended by HomeAdvisor. One did not respond at all. One was in and out with bare input. The first to respond was the Grout Doctor. Called the day after I registered with HomeAdvisor. Very professional & the best results. HomeAdvisor has not bugged me with unnecessary e-mails or calls, which is greatly appreciated and the service was free.

As a home and business owner, I use HomeAdvisor as my go-to for a good selection and helpful reviews. So far, I have been very please with the service. As customers are able to make honest assessments and recommendations, I have found that I am a better educated consumer.

Angie's List is a good resource but you can't beat HomeAdvisor for a similar product at a no-cost option. In assisting me in deciding my exterior paint job, HA was efficient, easy to use, and important in my final decision process. Thank you HA.

I found this site to be very easy to use with everything I needed at my fingertips while trying to find a contractor, and they have exceptional contractors listed. I was very pleased with the work I had done and it was a reasonable cost. I would recommend this site to my family and friends, and I will be using them for all my needs.

Contacted HomeAdvisor for recommended lawn maintenance in my area as I just moved here. I received word two (2) area companies had been contacted and one (1) responded. The bathtub faucet was leaking. Although this may not seem like a complicated project I thought it would be better to let a professional deal with the water. The repairman came when he said he would come and he completed the job with original Delta parts. The repair came with a 2-year guarantee. We have always been completely satisfied with HomeAdvisor professionals.

I have used HomeAdvisor for 3 projects so far and am so pleased with them. I found my gutter cleaning person 3 years ago and I still use him, I've hired a power washing company and most recently I hired a roofer to fix a small problem with my roof. All three jobs were done quickly and professionally and they charged a fair price. When I need some work done on my home the only place I go to find a professional is HomeAdvisor. I like that they are vetted by HomeAdvisor. I have never had a problem. And I highly recommend them.

Response within 24 hours of search. Provider was available for date required. Was able to blow out sprinkler as requested. Also available for startup of sprinklers in spring. Arrived on time and completed the work within a reasonable time frame.

I suspected a leak around the exhaust pipe on my roof. The water had cause small damage to my bathroom ceiling. I placed this material in my entry and HomeAdvisor recommended a company for the job. The recommendation was a local company that responded quickly and efficiently.

The recommended contractors were professional and experienced. The quotes for the work though was significantly different between contractors. The contractor I selected was very courteous and accommodating. The work was done on a timely manner, the contractor was extremely careful and the cleanup was superb.

I used HomeAdvisor.com to find a bathroom remodeling contractor in my area. A company on their site that they said they screened for criminal background, license and insurance did not seem true in this case. A very shady contractor from Mercy and Compassion Unlimited came into my home. He asked me "how much do you want to pay"? Because of HomeAdvisor.com I trusted this man. The man was not professional and sure didn't seem to even be a contractor at all but more like a guy who hires guys off the street who do tile work, painting, etc... and then he pays them and makes money.

HomeAdvisor is a great place to search for professionals to do whatever kind of work you need done. I have used HomeAdvisor previously on fencing, floor tile installation and now new wood floors. I am pleased with all the contracts I hired and the work performed. I highly recommend HomeAdvisor to anyone needing work done.

I had a furnace and air conditioner installed 2 days ago. The two men were very nice and worked diligently. They were very thorough and made sure both the furnace and air conditioner were working correctly before they left my house.

First time I used it and all went great. Did not know who to trust and they made it easy. I will use the service again I'm sure. I am a very hands on guy but this looked like more than I wanted to try. I have had bad luck on well work in the past.

The great thing about it is that I obtain quotes from several companies as well as ratings from other people that have used them. The rating numbers make me feel more comfortable knowing that I am hiring companies that have done good work in the past. Was very pleased with this website, did awesome job and very helpful. The only disadvantage was not being able to go back to the screen where you set up appointment or ask for a quote and cancel. Took a few minutes to find info on how to do that. And when I called one plumber the phone rang too many times before getting a voice mail. Other than that the site was very "user friendly".

APR completely repaired all the gables. My house is 28 years old and the original contractor who installed the siding did not finish off the gables. I was infested with carpenter bees. Scott and his team removed all the nest and finished all the gables to my total satisfaction. House looks great now.

Did job quickly and well. They went to Lowe's to get needed parts and returned in about twenty minutes then completed the job. I was well satisfied. The faucets and drains are now working fine. It was a small job, but really needed to be done as they were leaking. The water was messing the bottom of a very expensive vanity.

Started the process of getting my roof repaired through HomeAdvisor and they found me an excellent contractor. I had never needed to have roof repair and didn't really know where to start. HomeAdvisor found me a great contractor that I would recommend him to anyone needing a new roof.

Very professional, thorough and good customer-friendly explanations of the process. Took photos from under the crawl space of the lint and debris that had plugged the dryer vent. The technician was prompt, professional and provided us with the information about how the vent was taken apart, cleaned and reinstalled to avoid it coming apart again.

Everything was done professionally. The hot tub was cut into four pieces and carried out so flagstone wasn't damaged, one rain gutter spout was replaced through our deck, and bushes were trimmed to our satisfaction. Looking forward to hiring Allied in the spring to do some rocks for us.

Home Electric - Excellent experience. The HomeAdvisor website was easy to use and I got two calls within 15 minutes of sending my request. The tech who did the job was outstanding. I was very happy with his work and overall consideration of my home.

My first phone call was not good - the rep. did not inform that it was HomeAdvisor and not a contractor's office. I assumed it is a contractor's office. The rep. asked for ALL my info but for the key to my house. And then it appeared it is HomeAdvisor and every Tom, Dick and Harry got my info and was calling and e-mail and who knows what else. The second time I called, the rep. informed I called to HomeAdvisor and assured that will send my info ONLY to these 3 contractors - which was the case indeed. Overall, the service is useful.

Dedicated electrical circuit install - This was the second time I used HomeAdvisor to find a professional and have been very satisfied with the results. On a Sunday I made an appointment with an Electrician for the following Wednesday. This was done on-line. Surprisingly, the Electrician actually called me the same day (Sunday) to confirm the appointment! I like that HomeAdvisor screens the businesses and at least the owners. However, be aware that this does not mean you won't get a person with a criminal history to do the work as the business can hire anyone (e.g.: day laborer) to help with the job.

Once you receive a lead they deduct money from your credit card. Is not fair. 98% of customers call a contractor just for price, even without money. Sometimes they never answer the call, HA take the money anyway which is not fair. When I signed with them I told them I can't pay lead for job that I don't going to do. The company told me don't worry about. In 2 weeks they said I have to pay almost 2,000.00. I have to report them to consumer affair. So take care with this company. They sucks your money. Be aware from them.

Company responded promptly and courteously to our request for outdoor trimming of ornamental grasses and shrubs. Work was performed efficiently and professionally and we were so pleased we'll request their services again. Would recommend this company to neighbors and friends without hesitation. In fact, they did do work the same day for our neighbor.

I had a good experience using HomeAdvisor to locate a power washing service for me. I will definitely use HomeAdvisor again. The business that I chose (Blue Stream Power Washing) was very professional and did a great job. I was very pleased with the results.

I was needing duct cleaning for a home we are selling in another state. My initial attempt brought immediate calls from businesses, but in my home state, because I must have filled out some of my info incorrectly (autofill?!). The business owners said they would send a report to HomeAdvisor, and that I would receive a call to confirm my mistake. I did then receive a call from a HomeAdvisor rep to confirm that a mistake had been made (by me) and that I had received information on businesses in the area I needed. This young man was extremely helpful to fix the ceiling fan by finding out that it was the electric power for it, replacing it and was very pleasant. I strongly recommend him!!! I was very happy to hear that he is from New Orleans and he and his family survived Hurricane Katrina!!!

I was pleasantly surprised and pleased by the work performed at my home by Power By Purkis, Inc. Mr. Purkis returned my call immediately after I made a request to have a generator transfer switch installed. He came out to see it free. Lost power on part of an electrical circuit in home. Got electrical contractor from HomeAdvisor. Picked Viper to perform task. They did a great job on finding the bad electrical receptacle. Changed it out and the waterproof cover that was outdated to a new improved one.

I have used HomeAdvisor for my past five home projects within the last year, and it's always been quick and painless to do the search and connect with professionals. I had used Angie's list in the past, but I find the ease of use with HomeAdvisor much better, especially the direct connect to a local professional. The initial questions to get you connected to the right type of professional is spot on.

They walked me through the whole process and answered all of my questions. They were there when they said they would be and did everything they said they would do. They were very friendly and reliable. I am very pleased with the quality of their work. My house looks new again. With the excellent warranty they offer, I know they'll be back to make any repairs if necessary.

On time, did a great job, replace 3 windows that had fogged up. I had bought my windows from Penguin--they are gone, but Great Lake Windows still covers warranty, so they sent windows replacement to swift glass and they installed them.

They came on a Sunday to give us a quote which was great for us because we were not going to be home on Monday. Anyway it was a great experience and I would recommend them to a friend.

Shower grout repair - I was very happy with the company I chose through this site. The only small hang up was when I needed to reschedule my online appointment. I called and talked to a representative from this site who rescheduled me for a later time but apparently didn't get the info to the contractor. Luckily the contractor called before coming over and I was able to stop them and set up a new time with them. I consider this to be minor and will use this site again without reservation.

House cleaning! They did a good job with only 1 exception which was cleaning window sills between windows and indoor shutters. The only other issue involved a miscommunication regarding cleaning of a loft which was resolved appropriately over the phone. I would likely hire them again, but review the work thoroughly prior to their departure. As for price, I feel it was appropriate for the level of service provided!

I contact HomeAdvisor, they suggested I report my experience which I did and of course it was very negative, and this report to my knowledge was never published. At the same time I also wrote a report on a Handy Man which I hired and I gave a positive report which was published within a day.

Only 2 of the multiple painter referrals ever showed up - the electrician charged me the same rate as if he had done the work when in reality another electrician had done everything except pull the permit.
