They tore off the old gutters, installed new ones front, back and side and these had gutter guards on them. Their work was professional, complete and affordable. I would highly recommend them for this type of work and will also strongly consider them for roofing work also.

I was able to find a handful of locksmith professionals in my area, request quotes from those with the most favorable ratings, and ultimately complete my job within my budget. HomeAdvisor facilitated the communication with the professionals and made finding them as simple as a few clicks.

I love the ability to look up different companies to see what service they offer, locations and possible reviews given by past customers. I really dislike that I have to enter my phone number when I'm just doing basic research and companies start calling me within seconds of me hitting the "enter" button. Extremely frustrating trying to explain to the different companies that I'm only doing research before I decide the time frame, or exact details of the project. I wish I could get a list of 5-7 companies and compile all the data and THEN call the 3-4 companies I actually want to talk to and possibly schedule an appointment to get an estimate.

First time using Home Advisor. Would like to see general pricing on projects or at least hourly rates. Easy to use. Reviews are helpful. Will be looking to using Home Advisor again. Like the added security with previewing companies and their prior customers.

I would recommend Home Advisor as a reliable resource for qualified home improvement contractors. As a first time user, HomeAdvisor was intuitive and provided a level of confidence in our home improvement contractor choice. We received replies within twelve hours of our inquiry.

Great reviews. Helpful when I go to choose a person to assist me with my repairs. All of the companies that I contacted were reputable, and the reviews quite accurate. Their pricing was pretty much as I read on the reviews as well. You can figure out what is most important to you as a home owner, and find a match on the reviews.

Radon Test: Got quality recommendations for our area. Would like to see the recommendations first before getting placed into queue for calls from contractors, but we were ready to move forward, so it was OK. Just would prefer more control over who would contact us.

I've hired all of my home repairs from this site and don't know what I'd do without it. I have used HomeAdvisor on 6 occasions. I found a flooring company, dry wall installer, plumber, electrician, cabinet installer, and a general contractor for a kitchen remodel. I was happy with all except the general contractor. I don't blame HomeAdvisor for the horrible job the GC did because I picked him out of their list. All of the rest of the subcontractors did great work for me. I should have done a better job of checking out the GC. I will continue to use them as a reference option.

Had a toilet "repaired" by someone I found on Thumbtack who didn't really know anything about plumbing and made it worse rather than better. My leaky toilet was fixed in less than an hour and with a reasonable cost. He also cleaned up after. The other person left an absolute mess, including dirty hands on the walls.

I was quite leery of this site when I first stumbled upon it as it asked too many personal info type questions. I feared that it was a "setup" to make it so I would be open to a flood of unwanted solicitations. It was a good experience yet I would suggest that perhaps the intro pages to the site be reworked with the panicked consumer in mind. We recommend H and B Industrial LLC - Mr. Scott ** and his crew inspected and cleaned our fireplace and chimney today, 09/08/17, in Roanoke. They arrived on time, at 8:00 am, as scheduled. They thoroughly inspected all areas and components of the chimney. Not only the flue was cleaned up, but also the smoke shelf and recesses behind the damper; they had been clogged with dirt that made the damper difficult to move. The wood grate, and the heavy cast iron fireback, were removed outdoors, to be thoroughly scrubbed, front and back -- I didn't expect that.

Very professional and efficient. Having all the work subcontracted made it a little tricky. I guess it was good I work from home.

Cleaned the carpet well and then applied Scotchgard to the cleaned area. HomeAdvisor was easy to use. Even though I am not completely computer literate anymore. ASAP Rooter is really crummy! He wanted to charge $85.00 to snake a bathroom drain. He was supposed to use the snake camera to show the results, but didn't. He said that he would have to use a hydro pressure machine to clear approx. 45 inches of line and wanted to charge $450.00 to do it. He did reduce the price down to $75.00 for a whopping 15 minutes of time and then didn't even clear the drain at all.

I am satisfied with the work Ohio Groundskeeping has done and have recommended them to my neighbors. They did nice job on the patio and driveway. They also installed fence post for us and did a good job with the fence post.

This is the second time I've used HomeAdvisor and the second time I had great results. I had to get a new water heater and after calling one plumber whose quote was outrageous and was unavailable until the next day, so I decided to use HomeAdvisor and Dave from Northern Edge called me first and said I'll do it later this afternoon for, and I'm not kidding, $1,000 less than my first quote. I own a small Construction company and work has been slow for couple months so I decided to try out HomeAdvisor. I regret it as of now. 280.00 recurring annual fee plus 75.00 per lead. They started me off at 600.00 per month of leads sent to me. I don't mind paying for a good service but so far what I'm learning is they shove crap leads at you and charge for it. My last lead I received, I called the homeowner and she said she was just messing around on the computer and not serious, so I called HomeAdvisor and they refused to refund me.

Empire Solar was more than fair with the cost of this job. It was a simple job, replacing an outdoor light/lantern. Their rate was less than half what another contractor was going to charge. They came when they said they were going to, completed the job in less than an hour. We are very pleased with their work and their customer service.

Dishwasher replacement assistance by All Pro Appliance Service and washing machine (and refrigerator) assistance by Steve's Appliance Repair. Did not use selections for concrete replacement. Used another source for concrete (KSL.com).

I was 99% satisfied with my bathtub refinish... Looks lovely, saved replacing a good quality tub with the fiberglass tub or overlays available. My bathroom looks clean and crisp, and I would strongly suggest refinishing an older tub as the best choice, even with a bathroom remodel.

Sporadic quality of participants on system - I've gotten a few recommendations via HomeAdvisor and about 2 of the 4 have been horrible and caused much distress and wasted time and money. There is also a problem with the least qualified people being the most persistent and can make you feel they are qualified because they came through a "reputable" source.

Diligent Construction is the only contractor who responded to my request for rebuilding a small porch. I expect that they thought the job wasn't worth their time. Apparently HomeAdvisor did refer me to Porch, which I tried contacting but they wanted something huge with a hot tub or a burner or other things I didn't want. He explained exactly what was required and the results of replacing with new and up to date electrical products. Safety first. I will use Louis ** again if I have further need.

Of the three pros I was given this time, two had hidden service charges, and in one instance that did not go towards the service. That arbitrary fee should be disclosed if not eliminated. If they need the extra money to make the expense work, maybe someone local is a better choice. Also the need to pay someone to come and diagnose a problem as if they were a doctor is really hard to stomach, as their advice may be substandard. HomeAdvisor must make the disclosure of service fees mandatory!

I have consistently gotten good results with HomeAdvisor. The Pros I find through them are reliable, hard working and professional. HomeAdvisor follows up to make sure the Pros show up and do a good job. I highly recommend using them to anyone.

I liked that the HomeAdvisor staff checked on my progress by telephone and email. They wanted to make sure I was satisfied with the service I received. I felt that they did not just give me a name of a service provider, but they were still part of the process.

Good job and reasonable. Wobbly spindles were reinforced, railing no longer wobbles. Nails were used and then putty was applied to cover small nail holes. John explained how he would solve the problem. He was courteous enough to call and let me know he would be a little late due to traffic issues. We feel that our problem is solved.

Daniel gave a free and fair estimate and was willing to educate me on the process of getting washer drainage up to current codes. He correctly identified our problems under the house and was able to repipe the drainage pipes. Moreover, he was willing to come back to fix a few inside issues. Appreciate it.

They found a wonderful company to assist us. They installed two vertical blinds in our stairwell. We have ceiling of the top floor to floor of the bottom floor, windows, so was a difficult job. They also installed a new chandelier in the stairwell as well. I am thankful to HomeAdvisor for finding them for us.

The company was replacing 90 feet of fence that blew down in a storm. They laid the old fence pieces flat in our driveway and when my wife backed out on her way to work she hit the edge of a section of fence.
