I have used HomeAdvisor for many of my different properties projects. This includes my property in Illinois as well as my properties in NC and Texas. I have had many different encounters but overall I continue to return to HomeAdvisor because they provide some quality, professional and skill professionals for great prices. Very satisfied customer.

I wish I had known about HomeAdvisor before this - it is so helpful - I feel so comfortable using it. I have done two projects and the quality of these companies is better than I could have hoped for. I am doing my third project next month - a patio - then I am going to find another project - you make it so easy!!!

Radco Electricians - Had a response from this company with 20 minutes. Very pleased with this company and it is very important to know that HomeAdvisor has researched this company and posts reviews. Makes that unknown feeling go away and trust that the company you have referred us to has proven themselves to others. Will definitely reach out again when the need arises for other services. Being a member of Angie's List (for comparison purposes), I have been very impressed with the HomeAdvisor site. I have discovered some very dependable contractors who I will use again and/or recommend. I appreciate opportunity to contact them directly via this website which Angie's does not have. I've had a few (in this case, roofers), not respond, respond with no followup, and even some I never heard from. But all in all, I will continue to use this site first when looking for contractors to work on my circa 1950's fixer upper.

I really like this service, but when I pick the planning stage for a project I get bombarded with emails from the site and calls from people who want to do this now. Though it did connect me to a great person who did my last project.

House Cleaning Services - Fast and accurate referrals for the service that I was looking for. I ultimately hired one of the referrals and they were great and reasonably priced. The person showed up on time and was friendly and did a great job. I would definitely come back if I needed another recommendation.

Thank you HomeAdvisor! I needed lawn maintenance completed ASAP. Within 12 hours of submitting my request, I received six BBB- approved recommendations. I received an onsite visit and quote from a top rated contractor the next morning, and had work completed the day after that! Zing!

Great experience & solid contractor. Very professional & experienced. When 2 of our local dock contractors were overwhelmingly busy, I reached out to Home Advisor & immediately got a good response. The contractor gave a good detailed estimate & went to work right away. He also finished timely. The scope of work increased as some of our original dock could not be used. It turned out way better than before. Very pleased!

I thought that HomeAdvisor was helpful in searching for someone to do my roofing job and the recommended contractor did a great job. Also HomeAdvisor had useful tips on what questions to ask contractors and what to expect before and during the project.

I was looking for an exterior house painter, and someone to sealcoat my driveway. It took minutes to fill out the form and within hours contractors were calling me to set up appointments. I didn't have any personal referrals, and using the website gave me peace of mind that I wasn't just randomly picking people from a Google search.

We entered our request for lawn aeration, requesting to have the job done as soon as possible. We received 3 calls within 45 minutes and selected Turf and Earth since the company was located in our area. All of the companies that called were polite and professional. We are very pleased with the results of using HomeAdvisor.

My company signed up as a professional for HomeAdvisor 8 months ago against my will. I had a bad feeling about it after asking them a number of questions on the phone. After we signed up the leads started rolling in. So fast we couldn't even keep up with them. Half of the leads were for jobs we did not even perform. Of the half that were good leads for us only 40% of them actually answered or contacted us back. Of the 40% that contacted us only 7% actually hired us. We have requested credit back for the leads that aren't in our line of work and been denied. We've questioned the fact that 60% of the leads that are in our line of work don't ever contact us back. We've questioned why we don't get credit for those leads that aren't in our line of work.

Great job by the team as weather did not cooperate with the work that needed to be done but they showed up as promised. Responsive to all of my requests and worked the weekend to accommodate weather conditions. I would recommend them!

I used HomeAdvisor to find an electrical contractor. I hired one of those that H-A suggested and the work was done in a timely and satisfactory way. The cost was within the expected range and the result is a fix that is working as desired. I appreciated the follow-up emails from H-A to see to it that I got my project completed.

I didn't even submit the request for an estimate and yet I have received numerous phone calls and emails. I had hired someone I saw on the HomeAdvisor site so didn't need to submit the request. But for a week after I looked at the site, I am still receiving phone calls and emails. Not very happy about all the unwanted communications.

We have never used HomeAdvisor and when we were in a situation that we had no weekend help, we used HomeAdvisor and could not have been happier with who we were given to fix our problems. Will use again when needed!

I get a lot of recommendations from this site but when I call, many of the companies that are suggested are difficult to reach. No answers or they don't reply to emails. To be fair, many companies call very quickly after but it's usually not the case.

I used this company for the first time under the previous name of ServiceMagic and was very pleased. I was happy to go to them again when I needed a job done. Website is super easy to use and the results are almost instantaneous. As a matter of fact, I received a call AS the site said it was searching. I am very happy with the results and have recommended them to many of my friends and neighbors. The contractors I have used as a result of this service have all been very reputable, reasonably priced, knowledgeable and very courteous. They get 5 stars from me.

Job well done. Very professional. We had the super crew which worked well with each other. They replaced rotten wood on the trim and painted all exterior trim. Part of crew worked inside on the high rise ceiling. Would certainly hire or recommend them to others.

Small project (electrical repair) which is hard to find someone willing to tackle. Only two contractors responded of the ones recommended. There was a wide price difference between the two which may have had more to do with my ability to communicate accurately what I expected than with any mispricing by the contractor. The one we selected did a fabulous job.

Home Advisor connected me to a reputable company in my area. I just entered my info and picked the service I wanted. The service was free and easy. The company was professional and I'm looking forward to positive results. I would definitely use Home Advisor in the future.

Home Advisor was very quick to send my info to the top 3 repair companies. I got a call within 5 minutes and all work was complete within a day. Home Advisor made finding a good sprinkler company quick and easy.

Great service and we received the senior citizen discount. Great team of professionals who we would recommend to anyone. They also left the work area very clean after the work was completed. All communication of what was being done was easy to understand and greatly appreciated.

I hired a contractor recommended by HomeAdvisor to do aluminum wrap on my window trim. He did a terrible job. It was sloppy and it leaks. Much of his work has to be redone due to water getting behind the paint on my house from leaking behind my siding. The paint is bubbling up, something it has never done in the 25 years of my owning this house. Working with this guy was a nightmare. He claimed to have serious health issues so he was constantly using my bathroom and canceling appointments to show up. He got a lot of money for doing a terrible job. When I gave an honest review at the HomeAdvisor site, he complained and they removed it.

Everything was as promised. I didn't know which type of insulation my house needed so I went with R30 based on the recommendation of Sustainable Solutions. My house is 2200 sq ft under air. My house is now 2 degrees cooler. I am truly happy and would highly recommend this company!!!

Microwave repair - Effective referral service, contractor was fast and high quality. Contractor responded to lead very quickly. Appears to be an excellent portal and directory for local service. I would use them again without hesitation.

Garage door spring replacement - Quick response. The repairman arrived within 30 minutes after receiving his call. He stated the spring that was installed was not the best quality, and their spring should last longer. I also opted for a metal bearing instead of a plastic bearing. Replacement was completed very quickly.

Repair/replacement leaked gas pipes to furnace - The HomeAdvisor was very quick to load the request online and get a response from professional contractors. The rest is upon the owner and contractor conversation about the required job, estimating and cost negotiation. In my case, the contractor is the good ones and I feel satisfy w/ the result.

I was satisfied with the service. I am new to the area and was not familiar with local contractors. It saved me time to locate a contractor in the area and well qualified. I plan to use the service again for upcoming projects. I will be installing wood floors and extending a patio soon.

I needed gutters installed in my new home so I turned to HomeAdvisor to find a company. I found one in one day and completed a contract in two days. All work was completed within two weeks. I was very satisfied with the work and found the company very easy to work with and very responsive.

I received a detailed itemized quote with prices for each option, and ultimately hired the professional. The project was scheduled within a week, completed in a timely manner and to my satisfaction, all at a fair price.

Since buying my house last year, I've made changes and upgrades: sunroom addition, chimney upgrade and inspection, landscaping and patio, repair to interior door handles/locks, and minor plumbing repair. In each case, I always check HomeAdvisor -- sometimes finding the worker I wanted and other times checking/verifying another potential worker. I will always check HomeAdvisor.

Cabinet and Countertop Install - Submitted my request via HomeAdvisor website. Within minutes I was contacted by contractor who took my information, performed a site visit and promptly provided a cost estimate. Very please with the overall experience. The contractor even provided a simple, convenient online method to pay for the project and provided electronic receipts.

I have used HomeAdvisor a few times for odd jobs around my home. Always had good results, the reviews for me have been honest. Will continue to use Home Advisor for any home repair that I may have in the future.

We had a storm that hit us last week and there was thousands of trees down and property damage. I had two huge trees that were growing over the top of the house. They really should have been trimmed a long time ago. I went on HomeAdvisor to find a tree service. Three different companies called me and came out to do an estimate for me. After seeing what each company could do, and comparing prices, I chose the best deal for my needs. The company I hired was great and I would highly recommend them. Their company name is A-Ton Tree service. Thank you, HomeAdvisor!!

I replaced 3 tons x 3 unit central air conditions and inner units. And it take 2 days. I satisfied with my air condition company. Jay is owner and he respond to me very quickly via Home Advisor. Dennis is very good. Came to home and check it out the cooling problems. Then need to replace all 2 but I choose to do all 3.

Good way to find reputable sources for home maintenance and repair. I particularly liked the function that allows contractors to contact you. This is not always possible and requires you to call multiple contractors. So far I had one repair that went well and another in process where I have not yet been able to secure a quote for the work required. I will report back when that is done.

I got several responses in a very short time and within minutes one of the contractors called me and the next day water softener was installed. We were very happy with using HomeAdvisor. I received a phone call from a Home Advisor rep to check and see if I was able to find a service professional for my needs. I used HomeAdvisor on three occasions. Twice to find a handyman and once to find an electrician to install ceiling fans. The experience with the electrician was great. He was courteous, service oriented and did an excellent job installing the fans. The handymen on the other hand were a complete bust. The first time he showed up on time and did one of the projects. I tried on three separate occasions to schedule the other projects. On all three occasions he either cancelled when I tried to confirm the appointment, called the day before and cancelled or did not show up for the appointment.

I like the service because you can normally get numerous reviews before making a decision and HomeAdvisor checks to see if contractors kept their appointments. They also check from on the progress of the work. I was much more confident in my decisions of who to hire due to the fact the Pros have met certain criteria before being listed.

I did a search and was expecting 3 names to pop up, but only 1 popped up for my area. I was surprised by this and waited to make any calls. A short time later I actually received a call from the person that popped up. After an extremely reasonable quote we hired him and he was amazing! First time using HomeAdvisor and I'm now quite confident in this website!

Ripped up old roof, replaced with new, very thorough and professional, had a dumpster delivered and picked up once job was complete, replaced everything that they had to move in the yard, used a magnetic wand to ensure all old nails were discarded properly.

Not sure I realized that my info would be shared with contractors as soon as I had looked around this site. Was immediately contacted by 5-6 different people, and honestly didn't know who they were. Since I was dealing with roof repairs due to a hail storm in the area, I was just trying to find reviews - not trying to be bombarded with sales pitches. On the other hand, I did end up selecting a referred contractor and appreciated the reviews. The guy I used only advertises on this site, which is actually reduced the amount of advertising he does, and he didn't have to put a sign in Y yard.

Quality contractors list themselves on HomeAdvisor. Highly responsible. At one of the DIY Home Improvement companies, their service for contractor recommendations did not work. It felt good to find someone reliable to know that my home repair issue was being worked with care and precision.

JP Roofing and Gutters - At first, this company was prompt and reasonable. Upon completion, everything seemed ok. However, because of a leak over my bathroom, my contractor had to climb on the roof. He found they had replaced the lead jack but didn't completely removed the old ones. Also left some shingles loose and didn't seal enough around the two lead jacks that were replaced. Actually, they broke some shingles. I call them twice and they haven't returned my calls or even sent pictures of what they had done. I think their name should be removed from HomeAdvisor.

So pleased to have this job completed so quickly and so well! I had barely filled out the online form when I got two calls. They both were able to assess the job the same day. I got a good quote and they came the next morning. The job was completed by noon.

Alarm repair service - Got a list of two company recommendations. Both companies called me promptly the same day. They were thorough, complete and listened to what I wanted. Obviously the pre-screening is good and ratings given were appropriate. Will use Home Advisor again when I have a need.

Stonemark came to clean my couch which had some old stains on it. The owner had given me a fair estimate, which he adhered to, and did a spectacular job making it look new again. I would highly recommend Stonemark to anyone!

HomeAdvisor made it easy to find an appliance repair provider quickly. I found a provider that was in my general area. HomeAdvisor linked me to a small business that might not have gotten the same exposure with HomeAdvisor. The provider came out the next day. We were pleased with the service that was provided.

Tree trimming, deck staining and wood rot. 3 Separate projects. Major money to get my house ready to sell. I am very happy with my choices from HomeAdvisor. I will be using this site again and recommend it a lot to friends. Everyone is prescreened for me.

Yard Cleanup - I went online and the quick response from a contractor was amazing. He called basically immediately and showed up when he said he would. I got a follow-up call to make sure all was well. A very good experience overall.

I have used HomeAdvisor's services for many years both here in Florida and Wyoming. I have never been disappointed. Customer reviews are always so helpful in deciding which services to use for home improvement projects. Startup companies need our business too. They are usually more consumer friendly than the established services which are difficult to hire in a timely manner.

Hurricane Irma dropped an old beautiful oak tree in my front yard. I checked HomeAdvisor. I reviewed Tim Kilpatrick ratings and I liked what I saw. Tim arrived and explained in detail what needed to be done and how they would do it. They did excellent work, very professional, easy to communicate with, courteous, honest, paid attention to details, and ensured all work exceeded my expectations.

Garage door motor - Keith's phone response was almost immediate. We set up a time for him to come and he was there on time. Keith came out and located the problem, repaired it quickly and completely. He saw another incidental problem and took care of that also.

Replace hot water heater - HomeAdvisor linked me up with some great companies immediately. Happy with the experience. Plan to use the site for future projects as they arise. Findley Plumbing gave me a cost over the phone and it never changed. In and out within 2 hours and the cost was $100's less than competition.

Great way to see bids for the project at your fingertips. I have used them a second time to find other pros. It is hard to find pros just going through friends or the phone book/ads. I will recommend this to others. This is a great service and time saver.

Window/storm replacement - Prompt service and response, quality repair and job cleanup. Were not able to reglaze windows as planned because of age of the home. These would have needed additional work than originally planned for. Communications from the beginning of the job to completion was excellent.

I have been using HomeAdvisor for quotes and contractors for projects for a rental property located in Georgia. I am currently on active duty in Washington, DC, so HomeAdvisor has served as a beneficial and reliable tool to review the ratings others have provided for various companies. So far, every company that I have selected through HomeAdvisor has done a phenomenal job and have exceeded our expectations. For that reason, I would refer others to use HomeAdvisor and I will continue to use HomeAdvisor to solicit work for future projects.

I checked for a tuck pointer on HomeAdvisor and got two companies. One called me and told me what they did and asked for photos of the job to make sure it was something they could do then sent someone up to look it over and gave a bid. All quick, accurate and professional. I will definitely use HomeAdvisor again.

HomeAdvisor was a good way of looking for lawn service, they gave me two companies, but just one them replied. The one that answered my request was excellent and will use them in the future. I have used the HomeAdvisor service and found that the listings were a little sparse but I usually found someone through this site.

I had a bad experience with their sales approach. I went to their site to look for a local contractor for a specific type of service. I went through their process to the point of seeing who they recommended but did not request a quote after seeing that they recommended one contractor I had already contacted through my own research, and another that I knew I didn't want to use. I terminated my search on their site. The next day I started receiving phone calls and emails from HomeAdvisor and the contractor I didn't want. The last straw came when the contractor attempted to contact me on my cell phone to offer me a "complimentary estimate." I had not given this number to HomeAdvisor as part of this transaction, nor did I give them permission to contact me, and I am on the do not call list so they are presumably breaking the law. If someone has not requested a quote there is probably a good reason. Back off HomeAdvisor!

Very professional work at a reasonable price. Finished in less time than we had initially anticipated which included 3 interior rooms and a three car garage. Successfully repaired water stained ceilings. They cleaned up after themselves. We intend to hire this company again when we have our exterior painted next year.

Hired Ron from Mudge Enterprises for screen repair and couldn't be happier with the service and workmanship. I was unable to find someone thru Google or Yelp but HomeAdvisor recommended Mudge Enterprises. Will consider using their HomeAdvisor services again for other pending projects.

The company who had gotten very good reviews, Nature Services, did the work this week and my wife and I were very pleased.

Excellent experience with Chris the electrician and light up Atlanta. I have everything good today about him! Bad experiences with others though. They blow up your phone at all hours. There needs to be a middle ground on the amount of phone calls.

Tree trimming - This was our second project through HomeAdvisor. I have recommended this site to others and will continue to do so. Next time I need a job done I will go directly to their site. I could not be more satisfied.

Pool Closing: HomeAdvisor got me a local professional who responded quickly, set up an appointment in my desired time frame and all at a cost within reason. The only negative was a slight difference in the appointment time I scheduled with HomeAdvisor and the time the professional had scheduled.

1st. When I signed up as a contractor with HomeAdvisor, they told me the price per lead would be between $14 and $18 for residential leads and $18 - $20 for commercial leads. After about 2 months I was being charged approx $25 per res lead and $35 for comm leads. When I called to question this they simply said I must have HEARD WRONG because those were never the prices. I was fed up and decided to keep all leads paused 3 months at a time until my annual agreement was up at which point I would cancel the account completely.

Power washing - Home Advisor made it easy to find a contractor that could do the job. Their website gave an easy to navigate list of potential contractors. My account with Home Advisor retained all the information for each job and all the bids for future reference.

Bathroom tub/shower renovation - We were provided with two vendors but one had (apparently) gone out of business. HomeAdvisor contacted us shortly thereafter and said that they had canceled that appointment. Good followup and positive concern. We were very satisfied with HomeAdvisor and the contractor.

My first experience with HomeAdvisor was hiring a plumbing contractor to install new faucets/strainer and an exterior faucet and shut-off. The contractor I hired charged a fair price with on-time excellent service. I have already contacted recommended contractors to quote drywall and tile jobs.

Home Advisor gave me more than one recommendation for painters (Jessy Vasquez Painting). It was easy to contact and coordinate with the paint contractors to discuss work needed and get estimates. Also Home Advisor keeps in touch and allows you to give feedback on your experience. It's a time-saver and you know you are hiring trustworthy and experienced professionals!

I would and do recommend HomeAdvisor to everyone I know. It's a great tool to use for pro services. I have been extremely satisfied. The response time of the pro's callback is unbelievably fast. I like the fact that you can get free quotes and then chose which pro matches your specific needs and budget.

Cleaning Service - Very good service. Representative is on time and works efficiently. She is very thorough and conscientious. I would recommend HomeAdvisor to others. I have reviewed other services that you have available and I would not hesitate to call for other work that I may need. Keep up the good work!

We purchased a faucet to replace a leaky faucet and required an expert to install. Installation was completed in a short period of time and the plumber made sure that everything was working as required. Additionally, all old materials were taken by the plumber for disposal.

Exterior Power Washing - HomeAdvisor recommended professional and experienced companies for my project. They give you more than one choice for quoting purposes. Fast and efficient and great follow through. I would highly recommend HomeAdvisor for all of my projects. Thank you very much.

HomeAdvisor was quite useful in identifying contractors in our area (Southeast Texas) who could provide proposals for a project at our home. The extensive reviews available as well as the qualification process provided me with a sense of confidence that I could trust I was finding a reliable resource. This is especially useful when it is an "infrequent" type of project (in my case, gutter replacement), where I can't find many neighbors to provide local recommendations.

Repair/replace sliding glass door - Would recommend HomeAdvisor to others. Company I chose provided outstanding service. I felt anyone who listed on this site could be trusted as reviews were posted for everyone to see. The site provided companies in and outside of my area which gave a wide variety to choose from.

Replace old electrical switches and sockets - Rich did a great job. He was in and out. We had a lot to replace. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to my neighbors!! He was trustworthy and personable. We chose to have him over a 2 day period because we were adding on tasks for him once he was here.

We have used a number of HomeAdvisor contractors. The experience ranged from disastrous to exceptional. Not sure how unacceptable contractors but wish it were more reliable. We did however have three contractors that truly were the best which outweighed the bad.

HomeAdvisor provided quick, accurate selection of roof repair and home improvement service providers; Needed emergency roof repair and replacement and found many choices using the site and the response time back from various providers was fast and enabled me to make a decision, have the work performed and completed all within 2 days.

Sprinkler repair and new line - HomeAdvisor gave me 2 companies to contact and said if neither was appropriate they would supply more. The company I selected answered questions relating to the work required and gave an estimate. The work was completed in a timely manner and guaranteed for a year. If questions/concerns arose after completion they would return and take care of any problems. I am happy with the work and am confident that any concerns that might arise will be addressed.

I recently contacted HomeAdvisor to find a plumber to fix a kitchen faucet that was leaking. The site seemed efficient enough and they sent a plumber out. He arrived on time and seemed professional enough. He said he had to take the faucet apart in order to assess how much work needed to be done before providing a quote for the repair. That's when I discovered he was going to charge me $250 to replace a simple o-ring in the faucet. I understand I need to pay for the service visit, but this was truly excessive. It took him all of 15 minutes to fix the faucet. When I went out to the HomeAdvisor site (that rated this plumber 4.5 stars out of 5!) to inform them of my concern, they only allow reviews if I create an ongoing account with them. Guess they don't really want to know about the professionals they supposedly pre-screen. Won't use that plumber again OR HomeAdvisor. I can get ripped off without their help!

I looked up a recommendation for someone to replace my leaking hot water heater around noon, and I had a brand new water heater installed by 6:30 pm that same day. Excellent service! Wouldn't have happened without the recommendation from HomeAdvisor. This is the 2nd time I've used HomeAdvisor to find services pros in my area. Have been very pleased!

I had three plumbers call me right away. That was great. I got a good plumber and am happy with it. I also asked for someone to put up a rain gutter and do some cabinet work and got no response however.

As a professional, HomeAdvisor only give you 72 hours to decide if it will work for you... No one can do that in 72 hrs. If you decide it is not for you or your company after that 72 hours they will NOT give any of your yearly membership back to you. They have very poor customer service, do not take care of things you ask of them to do, one hand doesn't know what the other is doing here. You get a call from 10 diff reps when you are already assigned one and they won't get back to you when you request to shut down your account. STAY AWAY... There are other way that don't take your money like this.

Great service! Punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and Fair. I could not be happier with the service (Sprinkler System Repair). John and Juan were great to work with, and they really know their business. I was so satisfied with their quick isolation and repair of the failure that we scheduled them for more maintenance and upgrade work.

The associate I spoke with was helpful and knowledgeable. He gave me enough information to help me make what turned out to be an excellent choice. He offered to connect me with Albert's Furnishing making this an easy procedure. I couldn't take the time right then but your associate made sure I had the correct number to call.

2 TV mounts and Security Alarm: Exceptional Work. Outstanding customer service. Knew what he was doing and went right to work. He brought the brackets, which was a huge relief. I don't know which one to buy. I paid him. He didn't jack up the price. He was extremely helpful to us, since we are new to the area.

Computer Repair: Home Advisor put me in touch with someone to fix my problem right away. This was my first time using Home Advisor but won't be my last. David ** was a pleasure to work with and very professional. He explained all the steps he was taking to get me back up and running correctly.

Tree Clean-Up: Excellent experience all around. Nice, family-owned businesses got a hold of me promptly after my HA request. Chose a contractor who did good work and came back for something that was missed, no question asked. Home Advisor was a good tie between me (consumer) and reputable local businesses.

I went on HomeAdvisor to look for a painter, and I had a few calls within a hour. I got three estimates and I hired one of them. I was very happy with how efficient everything went. I would definitely recommend HomeAdvisor to my friends.

Fast referrals to quality companies -- several to choose from. Prices vary among companies referred -- so good to compare. Good follow-up to makes sure services were beneficial and accurate for what you need. They seem to have companies for whatever your service needs may be. Much easier to work with than what I thought I was experiencing with Angie's List.

HomeAdvisor is very professional, courteous. Always get a follow-up call after the project. The representatives are helpful and their website is fantastic, user friendly and thorough. Will use again and recommend. So far I had 2 successful projects with HomeAdvisor.

I am a first time user of HomeAdvisor, but our longtime plumber had retired and we needed a pressure regulator replaced. I was contacted promptly (within 15 minutes of submission) and, having done a quick review of some of the recommended companies, settled on the first one that called, PlumbWise. The work was first rate, promptly done (actually completed within two hours or so of first submitting on the HomeAdvisor website), and reasonably priced for our market area. Engaging any new repair professional to work on your home without firsthand knowledge of his work history can be an adventure, but our first experience through HomeAdvisor was excellent.

We had a great experience with the service provider recommended by HomeAdvisor. This tree service was so knowledgeable - actual arborists - and were timely, professional, and reasonably priced. We were thrilled with the experience. HomeAdvisor offered us a provider we may never have found otherwise. Thank you!

The response time was very good. The company done a very good job in a timely manner. The price was competitive. I will use Home Advisor if I have any more problems and I would recommend them to others.

I needed trees trimmed the first time and needed my water heater replaced the 2nd time. Both companies were prompt and professional. I will use them again in the future.

I was pleasantly surprised when I decided to use HomeAdvisor. I didn't want to pay for a service like Angie's List, but have had trouble in the past finding plumbing pros in my area. After entering my info, I received a small list of recommended pros to help me, all with contact info, ratings and accreditations. Very handy! I'll use HomeAdvisor again for my next project.

Everything was smooth. Pro was recommended, contacted me on the same day, and was promptly scheduled and completed the next day. Would use and recommend both Home Advisor and the pro that performed the task. Price was very reasonable, and the entire process was seamless.

1st person I contacted was unavailable by phone and did not show up as promised. This was reported to Home Advisor. The second company I chose was right on time and reasonably priced. Can't - B - Ditt was the the name of the second one.

One panel had opened up and was leaking, the other was showing signs of similar failure. I live close to the ocean and the corrosive environment took its toll on the panels after 13 years. Island Solar was responsive, professional and did a great job. I would recommend the company.

First guy hired never showed up despite good ratings. Second guy did show up (late), but at least he called. All in all about what you would expect from any work done on your home by any company. HomeAdvisor lets you at least not hire the worst of the worst.

Would have preferred to have more than one company as an option. The company was easy to use and the website was nice. I like using HA to find pros in the area. Usually HA provides more options for SPs.

Looked for a company that could expeditiously repair and replace a span of wrought iron fencing. The company we chose had excellent online reviews through HomeAdvisor and they did not disappoint us. We were very pleased with the timeliness of the project and the eventual cost.

I have used HomeAdvisor for several project i.e. new steps/walkway, new patio, painting/patching, throughout the years; and have been very satisfied with their recommendations. This is why I consider HomeAdvisor my go-to for my home improvement needs.

If you are a design professional I highly recommend you stay far away from Home Advisor. They do not support the Pros. They vet us, but they don't vet the homeowners, so you end up paying for empty leads. WE, the design professionals pay for them to exist, and they take our money without considering our value. Out of 48 leads I've received, 12 have been real projects. It's very hard to get an actual person on the phone from HA. And when you do, they tell you that you are more likely to get a credit for a lead if you use the online platform than if you talk to a real person. That right there tells you how they run their company.

Garage Door Opener: I received a recommendation from Home Advisor and scheduled an appointment online. The owner of the company repairman arrived as scheduled. He could not do the job that day, but we arranged for his company to do the job on the next day. The repairman arrived on schedule and did an excellent job. Both the owner and the workman were friendly, courteous and professional.

I have used HomeAdvisor several times & I am impressed with the quality of people I have found on this site. It catches me off-guard when I submit a request because I get several companies contacting me at the same time, all within a few minutes of the request. I wish there was a way to specify what qualifications are most important to me, then only have 1 contractor contact me every 5-10 minutes until I have found the one I want to work with. It seems pretty 'cut-throat' between contractors, based on who gets to the phone first.

Complete roof replacement - great way to get multiple contractors. The phone calls came quickly after making the inquiry. I was able to schedule online appointments as well. If you are looking for multiple bids and business reviews, this is the way to go.

HomeAdvisor informed me that the original provider (Sprinkler Repair) I called about was not available but quickly provide me a list of 3 other vetted providers. The service adviser was courteous and knowledgeable. The recommended vendors, responded quickly and got the report done the same day! Would use again.

Very easy process and great follow up via texts/phone calls/email. Will use again in the near future when we need additional projects that require contractors. The process of submitting my information or job and then you're provided with recommended professionals for that job was very easy and straightforward.

One contractor did not respond at all. Another tried to make a one-call close and did not answer my questions. Third was a satisfactory choice. You should know that a large fraction of your contractor-clients are not worthy of your time. Better vetting would eliminate most if not all of the "bad competition," contractors who act inappropriately and, therefore, generally ruin the homeowners' attitude about all contractors.
