I've used HomeAdvisor to find 3 different service providers to do work in my home and I've been pleased with all of them. It was a very quick process to describe the work needed and then HomeAdvisor instantly gave me good leads to good local people.

Overall, I am pleased with the service from the two men team. It's a time consuming and tedious work. I could not have done it. I will recommend to anyone & thanks to HomeAdvisor for providing this service to the public. I will use HomeAdvisor for all my household needs. Keep it up. :)

The experience was excellent. The company arrived on time and explained everything in detail. Then the carpets were cleaned. He explained what was done and why certain things couldn't be removed which was understandable. Still an excellent job and very pleased!

Freeze after warm weather froze water in connected hose, causing a rupture in the bibb valve. Job required unseating existing copper fittings and replacing the 10# valve stem and bibb (hydrant). Steve was very familiar with the common problem and had it replaced in 40 minutes with a minimum of disruption.

This is a great service to use and it puts you in total control. You can get references of your own, use the references on site, whichever fits your comfort level. I liked the fact that you can review many people on the site for your special needs and read reviews from others!

Hook up new electrical panel box and hard wire a sump pump with a gfc outlet. LaMaster was the first to respond to my HomeAdvisor inquiry. He came out within a couple of days to look at the work needed. I was impressed with his knowledge and his quote seemed fair so I didn't seek a second estimate. Was totally pleased with the work and would most definitely recommend LaMaster for their electrical needs.

HomeAdvisor just gave me a list of a few AC companies. I just called the Silvaire company because they could come out on a Sunday afternoon and I appreciated them coming out on a Sunday at no charge and they were fair so I had them install a completely new system since it was half than cost to repair the old one.

A one-time deep clean. The entire house was cleaned, especially the kitchen (cabinets, fridge, stove, floor). Bathrooms shone, furniture was moved to mop the wood floor, ceiling fans dusted, and every floor vacuumed. The house smelled as clean as it looked!

DHR painting responded quickly and gave me a good price. Their crew also responded quickly. They prepped my deck and walls. Then they painted the deck and walls with 2 colors and painted the trim with a 3rd color. It looks great.

I needed a patch repair at a seam on carpet, where vacuum ran over seam and frayed it. US RESTORATION called me immediately, Donald did an extremely good work and was a very personable and experienced man. I'm very happy with everything.

It's good overall and it's easy to use this platform to find someone to work with. I was disappointed that my first meeting scheduled was only for an estimate. Would have been helpful to know that as I would have scheduled the estimate at an earlier time.

Very satisfied with the whole process from the initial call back, technician (Excel Electric LLC) arriving on site to the job completion all within 4 hours. Excellent job. I would recommend this company to all my friends and I would definitely use them again if the need arose.

EGRESS WINDOW INSTALLATION. Only 1 company was listed so more options would have been nice. Response time was very good. The 1 company offered was exactly what we needed and they had a better price than another firm I found on my own.

I have had to call customer service 2 times and always received helpful feedback and guidance. They even went outside of their selected people to find a service that would assist me. I would recommend this service to anyone I know.

I was provided 3 comparable companies for tile and grout cleaning. I chose Sac City Restoration and they did a fantastic job. I felt confident choosing them based on customer reviews and the reputation of HomeAdvisor. It was easy to sign up, and HomeAdvisor followed up after the project was complete. I appreciate the fact that there's no cost to use HomeAdvisor, which was a selling point for me.

Carolina Outdoor Care did an excellent job removing 4 trees and stumps from my yard. The quoted price is what I paid. They were very courteous and professional. I have already recommended them to several friends and neighbors. My yard looks great. Thanks guys.

They did a great job on my water heater and I recommended them to a friend and she too was very impressed! Champaign Plumbing charged considerably less than the other plumbing companies, $100-$350. I was told not to hire the cheapest or most expensive but in this case the cheapest did a great job!

Replace old ceiling light fixtures in hallway with recessed LED fixtures. Two vanity wall light fixtures in bathrooms, also demo and replace. LED compatible. (be sure to read the box for compatibility). Replace ancient kitchen fan and install new Hunter fan. Install ceiling exhaust fan in hallway.

Great job on all fronts (stone steps repair and replace); timely and reasonable quote and lead time to commence work, accurate estimate of time on job, clean and tidy, and communicated often and succinctly throughout the job, which included an unforeseen weather delay. I recommend Elmer and his team without reservation.

Refrigerator repair - Techs were very professional, kind and honest. They explained exactly what they found and how they repaired it. I will definitely use them again. Cost or repair was extremely reasonable. Response for service call was very quick. I am using more small businesses lately rather than large companies. I like the commitment and desire to do a good job they exhibit.

I needed doors installed in a formal dining room in order to convert it into a home office. I did not know what kind of contractor to hire and found Home Advisor when using Google to research. They put me in touch with several contractors right away, 2 of whom I called and they came by the house, measured. And gave me estimates very quickly. The contractor I went with specialized in the work I needed done and he did an excellent job. Would definitely hire again.

HomeAdvisor recommended All Option Doors for Garage Opener Installation. Very professional and skilled. Would recommend them to friends and family and would also call them for future projects. Very fast and courteous. He called me a day before the installation to double check if I had everything that I needed for the installation. If I had issues getting those items, he said that he would be able to get them for me at cost. Real professional!!

This site was a little daunting at first but once you get familiar with it it was quite easy. I love how you can access all the people who contacted you for any past projects. As far as my specific project (Wheelchair ramp) I could not be any happier to have found who I needed, to do what I needed within the budget I had. They where just great!!!

Water Flo did an excellent job installing my radon remission system. They were very professional. They arrived on time and completed the job in a timely manner. They did great work, cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them to anyone interested in a radon remission system.

I received 2 responses for my query into termite companies. One estimated the price to be $1500 to $2000 for a small frame home. The other came out and gave me a $600 estimate. He was great through all steps. I will continue to use HomeAdvisor and will carefully check prices. Wow, what a difference...$900 cheaper on the low side...$1400 cheaper on the high side. And, the termites are dead and gone.

Drip in kitchen faucet repair: 24/7 water conditioning & plumbing. Professional and courteous. Got the job done. Called immediately to see if they could be of service. Very punctual. He was on time, neat, and friendly. He clearly showed me the parts needing repair/replacement. One item he was able to replace with parts he had on his truck. He ordered the remaining part and returned to complete the work, well within the time frame he quoted.

JJ Construction did a fast, efficient job putting in new flooring, which I supplied, in the bathrooms. They worked 13 hours straight through to accommodate my very tight schedule. I am pleased with their work. The job required removing two toilets, replacing seals, and remounting the toilets once the flooring was installed.

Everything was great -- appointment time, work, cleanup, etc. No complaints. More words -- I liked the guys, was impressed with the machinery. They did a super job. Should have had them get rid of a few old stumps we have! What more can I say. Want to remove old stumps for free?

It was a difficult job because of the limited working space but both men were pleasant, polite and professional the whole time. Dryer repair - My only complaint is that there were not many contractors to choose from but overall a good experience. Company called right away and were easy to work with scheduling around my work schedule. Technician arrived on time, called before coming and I knew who was coming.

Worked out well. I was given 3 choices for replacing a small part of the tile in our shower. One of them got back to me quickly. We set up a time for an estimate and we hired him once we checked his references, found out how much it would cost and when he could start on the project. Another one got back with me about an hour later and that contact fizzled out... Never heard from him again. The 3rd one never contacted me.

Additionally, they came back the next day to complete the work. He worked diligently and stayed until the work was completed.

I have an electric car. I needed an extra meter added to take advantage of DTE energy discount price on charging my car. I also had a generator cutoff and pull installed for my generator in case of power outages I can power my house. He did an outstanding job at a reasonable price. He gave me an estimate over the phone, something others would not do, and did the work quickly and at a real reasonable price.

Cabinet installation - Mr Handyman was exceptional. They were already onsite before the second referral called for estimate. The follow up from their office was outstanding. I feel that HomeAdvisor recommended the best of the best and I have already contacted them for additional projects.

This company (Black Diamond Pest Control) is very good. I called on Monday and the inspection was completed on Thursday. VA termite inspection for my new loan. From needing to having the inspection to completed a couple of days later. The inspector shook my hand upon meeting with me. In my book that goes a long way. A handshake is a bond. I would recommend this company to everyone.

The fourth time, after phone contact, the service provider failed to come look at the job or give an estimate. That time I found someone just starting his business to fix my problem.

Not heating properly, my wife has to dry the clothes 2 & 3 times. The repairman, Ray took the LG dryer apart & told me that the problem was with the vent. My dryer vent runs underground. I went to Home Depot and bought a wet/dry vac, and was able to remedy the drying problem.

Garage door springs replacement and door opener replacement. Same day service. Company was friendly and accommodating. Price reasonable. Tech was young and somewhat inexperienced, but installation was good, just took a little longer than expected. He completed work in 2 trips of day apart, as he did not have a whole new opener unit on the truck, only the springs.

Bathroom, custom built ins, high end shower, closets, office, all got rebuilt after an extensive leak. The damage was extensive because it was under the shower drip pan and was hidden from view. A wind storm blew down a tree limb that took down our power line and ripped the electric meter off the house. The electric company used rope to keep the system from falling apart so we still had power, but getting it reattached right away was needed. The job is not complete. When the electrician provided power to my shop a spark flashed that tripped a breaker in my house. I have not seen the electrician in over 4 days. The electrician will not return my contact attempts.

HomeAdvisor as a service is great. I like the convenience of being matched with pros based on what I need done. I like that there are verifiable reviews for the pros that I can select from. I like the interface and user experience of HomeAdvisor with one caveat. That caveat comes in the pairing process. I wish I could see more options when I'm paired so I can make a choice based on review feedback. If this is already possible and I missed it then I would say the design of the pairing workflow should be reconsidered.
