From HomeAdvisor we received a list of reliable moving companies in Lake Zurich. I believe that my contact information was sent to movers as well because just in a few minutes after contacting HomeAdvisor I received a phone call from Illinois Movers/Ryan offering us a free estimate. We scheduled our meeting next morning at 9:30 am. However, at 9:15 am we received a phone call from Ryan informing that he is leaving, will be at our house in 15 minutes, about 10 am(!!!). At 10 we received a Ryan's phone call again advising that he will be at our house in 15 minutes, maybe at 10:30. At this point I asked him if Illinois Movers keep delivery schedules same way as he handles his appointments. At this point Ryan became very rude and I had no choice just tell him go back to his office. My question is - how HomeAdvisor can advise to use Illinois Movers if their representative cannot handle himself professionally?

I had a bathroom job done by Joe's Landscape. Hardscape, painting and handyman service. Many things wrong. Bad news I gave him cash. Emailed my complaint. This contractor did not show up on my review page and everything. Too much to list. Emailed me back. They do not read emails anymore. I had someone who did concrete work used the bathroom. Asked me who did the bad job on the bathroom. Ex faucets spinning around 360, floor covering coming up.

I have recently used HomeAdvisor to search for three kinds of service providers - sprinkler system installation, frameless glass shower door installation, and concrete repair and refinish. I didn't have much luck with the sprinkler system. I made contact with five potential providers. Three of the five came out like they said they would but the other two never showed. Of the three who came out, only one actually submitted a bid. I understand this is very common in the world of lawn care, but it is a mystifying business practice.

The different choices of "pros" listed for Home Advisor in my area were not necessarily "pros". They either did not call back or gave estimates and then never showed for the work. The one group finally came a week later and did a satisfactory job but not as well as I thought they would. Other companies either would not show for estimates or not call back.

The work that was done by Stone River Landscaping far exceeded my expectation. Their estimate was very reasonable for the job that had to be done which was removing a lot of brush and overgrowth. The workmanship was excellent. I would highly recommend Stone River Landscaping.

Although I would have liked a little more guidance on the colors, (as I am not very good at this kind of thing and the swatches were very small) I am very satisfied with the quality and workmanship of this company. First time using HomeAdvisor. 3 companies called immediately, I got excellent service, and a repair. Price was higher than I wanted to pay (other companies told me they would have been much cheaper), but the work was done very well, high quality, great attention to detail, and I was given a discount for being retired. I am satisfied with the work.

I thought the price to be very high. The Last time I paid for a garage door repair, it was less than $100 plus parts. The service was on the job very fast (less than 1 hour very fast.) They must have radio-dispatched drivers. Next time I will get estimates.

Guest bathroom complete remodel. Bathroom was completely gutted, tile removed, all old fixtures removed, and new tile on floor, shower floor and walls installed. New vanity, faucet, shower faucet. New mirror and light fixture over mirror. New can lights in ceiling with exhaust fan. Composite wood installed along one wall, and rest of wall area painted. New elongated toilet installed.

Had patio installed. When on site to see who you had recommended and there were listed. Was very pleased with the service and with the work that was done at my house. Hard to know where to start when looking for trustworthy company and having your information was helpful.

We found this service to be everything that we needed and more. We are big-time gardeners and have a bunch of flowers, plants, shrubs and trees around the property. This roof-cleaning service managed to do an excellent cleaning and rinsing job without killing any of the greenery. He was courteous, efficient and diligent in his work. Couldn't find any better service for our needs. The price was fair for 4 hours of work in Florida's hot, steamy summer under the sun.

Spray insulation estimator came and said he'd send me an estimate, haven't heard back. Pressure cleaning crew came out, I think it was their first job EVER! Not good. It is a new driveway, that's why I hired someone to clean it. HomeAdvisor I will not use again. Never again!!!

After making my appointment on HA, the contractor called me to change the date, because he was not going to be in town on the day I selected. The dates in HA were not correct. I received many emails from HA asking me to engage with them. I even got a marketing phone call from HA. When it was raining the day of the appointment, the contractor said that he had tried to call me through HA (he said that HA did not give my number, which is OK.) but that it did not work. I understand that no-fee services like HA make their money selling data and making new marketing connections, but I feel that the balance between value from HA service and the cost of the marketing is not worth it.

I am very pleased with the outcome of the vendor I selected and thank HomeAdvisor for connecting me. That said, I was in a rush and didn't realize I was not contacting the vendor directly. I was not anticipating the overhead associated with going through a third party. Specifically, I received multiple emails and a phone call about my service. I was away on vacation at the time and found the disruption intrusive. The benefit of HomeAdvisor is getting connected with reputable vendors. The downside was the marketing or customer relationship manager that came with selecting through HomeAdvisor.

Tired finding help on my own and was not happy with service. On junk removal waited 2 weeks for someone else. HomeAdvisor's recommendation came next day. On plumbing emergency leak other plumber put piece of aluminum foil to redirect leak (PART OF CEILING FELL DOWN IN ROOM BELOW). SAID THEY COULDN'T COME BACK FOR A FEW DAYS and charged me half of what Applause Plumbing did to replace pipe and mixer valve and fixed it the next day. I'll use HomeAdvisor for all my needs.

Excellent work!! Richard was "on point" and kept me updated on a daily basis. This is my 82 yr old Mother's home and they were very patient, understanding and detailed in explaining everything that needed to be done. Replacement of siding, repair and replacement of the roof as well as added extra bracing that was needed for the overhang. They can do it all! Pricing was very competitive and their quality of work performed was outstanding. I would DEFINITELY recommend Jen Roofing for any work that needs to be performed on your home.

MAS contacted me almost immediately after I submitted my request to HomeAdvisor. They scheduled replacement for the next day (much appreciated as existing heater had rusted and was starting to leak). They showed up on-time, and as part of the replacement, fixed a few things that had been done wrong on the original installation. I can honestly say that my hot water works better now than it has for the last 14 years!
