This is my first time using HomeAdvisor and was on a rush to get a project done. I like how it filters on a customer's needs like I chose to have a service done as soon as possible and it gave me results that could do it within a week and actually got it done in a day. The businesses responds quickly and that's very helpful. The list of businesses looks trustworthy.

I hired a HomeAdvisor-recommended professional electrician to install a ceiling fan operated with a generic remote in my kitchen. I got a quick appointment and I was very happy with the price and the work that was done, so I will be going back to HomeAdvisor in the future when I need work done.

We were extremely happy with this very professional person. He was very congenial and eager to satisfy us and indeed he did. His work was excellent. We intend to send a special email to all our friends so we can recommend him. We will call him again when we need something done. He needs 10 stars.

Needed a small bathroom tile job done. Found Home Advisor link from a google search and gave it a try. The contractor got in touch with me within 24 hours. Next time you need some work done check with Home Advisor first... I'm glad I did!

Upgrade Electrical Service: The Electrical Professional thoroughly evaluated and correctly recommended replacing a very old electrical panel. He worked safely and quickly. He thoroughly cleaned up his work and provided documentation of the job. He even agreed to coordinate a safety inspection and job certification.

I tried calling a few of the pros listed on Home Advisor. I was really looking for help with only a few days' notice. I would highly recommend Hide Tide Cleaning. They did an excellent job for my move out clean. And they were able to do it within my time frame. They even helped me with a few of my chores... Like bringing a very full laundry basket down a flight of stairs to my car!

Got very competent contractors quickly and pleased with the worked performed from the firms they recommended. Would use them again with confidence and recommend to others. HomeAdvisor has excellent customer service personnel and followup. This represent my sincere evaluation.

Had 3 referrals, two came by to look at the projects and give estimates. The third could not work with our timeline. We picked one and are completely satisfied! The one we settled on really helped me understand the project better and has such a keen eye. Made a huge difference in the finished projects. Love the way they came out.

HomeAdvisor gave me some really good choices for hiring a contractor to replace our garage door! It was easy, quick and totally painless! The garage door installers did a great job! They were prompt, explained things very well and did a very nice job cleaning up.

I contacted NWFA and was sent Mike, the complete salesman. He was VERY knowledgeable and took his time with me. I decided to replace 4 windows in my small house. I was contacted about a week later to let me know that my order had been placed and my windows were being made. A couple of weeks after that I was contacted again for scheduling. The installers arrived on time on a pretty rainy morning. They left it up to me on whether or not they'd get started in between downpours. The guys started, getting soaked in the process but were very concerned about keeping my house dry. They finished up installing the windows and wrapping the inside, agreeing to come back the following day to finish the outside when lightning wasn't posing such a threat. Overall my experience has been positive, both in communications and with the sales, scheduling and installation departments. Oh and the value for the product I received was stellar!

Needed a plumber and on a Sunday night clicked on HomeAdvisor. Within minutes, much to my surprise, I had several plumbers and estimates coming in! Super happy. Plumbing issues was repaired the next day. The company that came out provided great service and a good price. We will use HomeAdvisor again.

This was a good way to find information on my sink problem instead of having the whole sink replaced. They was very quick in giving me the information of places to contact. I would use their service again and recommend them.

I appreciated the ease with which I could input the type of project for which I wanted a contractor. There was a quick reply online from HomeAdvisors suggesting contractors in my area, and a quick response from those contractors. I did not feel hounded by contractors' calls. I did select one of the contractors that was suggested by HomeAdvisor and was very very satisfied. HomeAdvisor is like have a friend make a few recommendations. I've taken advantage of the HomeAdvisor service in the past and will not hesitate to seek their suggestions in the future.

I got qualified, bonded contractors that met their bid and completed the project (Rodent control) in a timely manner. Takes the challenge of looking for contractors and using Craig's list where things are dicey. My son uses HomeAdvisor to advance his business 1A Painting in Burlington, Wa and it worked for me here in San Diego.

Naturally saw your commercial. Needed flooring replaced, so thought I would try using this site. Site was easy to use to find a Pro. I did not use the contact information on your site. I personally called them. Will try again on our next project.

Great website and true to its advertisement with no cost to view contractors and see reviews. They called within 10-15 mins and I selected a roofer very quickly. Was very surprised how quickly the contractors called but happy with the service. Will use this site again for future work.

Fence removed. Trees trimming. Great site to obtain vendor when unfamiliar with the area. Review helpful in getting a vendor. Gave multiple vendors for estimate. Vendors were prompt in replying to inquiries. Would definitely recommend this site to others and would definitely use again for other projects.

I received two phone calls within minutes of asking HomeAdvisor for information about residential fuel oil tank exams. I hired the first pro and received same day service. I got expert advice and it couldn't have gone any better. I'm so glad that I saw HA's TV Ad.

The service (Rescreen a sliding door) could not have been better. Pick up and delivery were both prompt. We found it to be a bit pricey - the only negative. We will hire again for a future project but we'll be sure to get a price beforehand.

Very friendly service. Owner was professional. He came over to view the job. 1st time we were not home. He called and wanted to have us show him what we wanted cleaned up so he could give an accurate quote. I was Originally concerned about breaks. But they arrived around 11am so probably had lunch break? In the end the job was well done and the price was as quoted.

I had a slight issue in getting the contractor to show up after I had paid half the cost of the project. I was concerned I may have been swindled, so I contacted HomeAdvisor to discuss the issue. Not only did I have 3 zone valves replaced, but I also had to have a valve box detected because it had been buried for 10+ years and I had no idea where it was; it was buried when I moved in. Moises (Pure Blue Irrigation) was very polite and helpful and saved me so much money over another contractor that I had been referred to by a program through my water company. And he took less than 4 hours. He also tested & retested all my sprinkler heads and valves to make sure they were in good shape before he left. My yard has 6 zones and 3 valve boxes total.

I have had good luck with the people I have hired, but I would like to be able request names of pros w/o getting the appointment schedule. It is important to review folks and I feel a bit rushed by the process when what I really want is info.

Loved the work by Jason **. Completed the job as promised. There was a potential problem with the quality of cabinets delivered by the manufacturer. Jason, tried to do it right by offering an additional discount as the manufacturer did not replace the cabinets.

I am very happy overall with HomeAdvisor. We have used HomeAdvisor for three projects. Two of the projects, Shed and air conditioning system were 5 star ratings. The driveway was 0.5 rating only because I could rate it any lower. It's sad when you think you are getting someone professional and they don't follow-through on their promise. HomeAdvisor was very helpful in helping me locate a good home inspector. I was able to contact several inspectors at the same time and get several different quotes. Each inspector had several helpful reviews to let me know what to expect. It saved me a lot of time and headaches.

HomeAdvisor recommended about 6 pros for my project in my area. Two responded for my request for quotes on broken garage door spring and I went with Dano's Garage Door company. They were prompt, courteous and did what they said for the price quoted which was the most reasonable price around.

Not too many choices for this job, had to search for cabinet repair and finally handyman. Brian was the only contractor to call back. I wasn't sure if I used the website correctly to find a contractor. If he did not call I would have had to search again.

The carpet cleaning company called me within hours of posting my job, came the next morning to do an estimate and were able to do the work right then, since I was available and the estimate seemed within reason. Carpets were done well though, not surprisingly, a couple of old stains did not come out.

Not everyone that you gave our information to responded. One that did gave us a ridiculously low price, and didn't even bother to measure. Fortunately, Robert with Fencing Unlimited did a good job. In the end, we did get the reference that we needed.

Main drain was clogged. The Plumbers ran a snake through the drain which opened it. I would highly recommend Mr. Rooter's Septic and Drain. The gentlemen were professional, pleasant, and did a great job. I would gladly pass this company's name to my friends.

Your system does not send out reviews for services that were done that were on the secondary listing. I completed 4 projects. Only one review was sent out. Your system is hard to negotiate. I have tried repeatedly to do so with calls or online. Without this I cannot receive my 50 dollar rebate.

This was much easier than Angie's List. I put in what I wanted and was contacted by about 3 different irrigation landscapers in about 15 mins to set up quotes. That was pretty cool. Also being able to see that they are licensed and proven was really nice.

I googled sprinkler repair companies in Plano and HomeAdvisor came up. They gave me the top suggestions and reviews. I read the reviews provided and I picked a company and scheduled the appointment online. It was a great experience!

I think he did a good job. So far so good. I would recommend this service to others. He was prompt and friendly and he knew what he was doing. It only took him like thirty min. to figure out what the issue was and he fixed clogged drains in about an hour.

The good news is that I found a good contractor through HomeAdvisor and got the job done. The bad news is that the top listed contractors for my area gave a horrible pre-job experience (delayed callbacks, failing to show, failing to explain why). Yet this contractor had all 5.0 stars. I gave a negative review, only to learn HomeAdvisor does not show reviews unless the contractor is hired. I feel HomeAdvisor is seriously misrepresenting contractors by failing to show non-hire reviews. There is no way Crawl and Attic Total Engineering Solutions deserves a 5.0, yet HomeAdvisor makes them look like the top choice. I am now suspicious whether I can trust HomeAdvisor reviews to tell the whole story.

Very professional referral service. I had called 6 pool companies from the phone directory before contacting HomeAdvisor. I was unsuccessful in getting anyone on my own. Either they were booked, too expensive, or just plain arrogant jerks. I finally called HomeAdvisor and received professional service and made an appointment within 10 minutes. Highly recommend using this service for all your home needs.

A shark-tooth fitting connecting the PVC pipe from the house to a copper pipe feeding the sprinkler manifold sprang a leak, effectively shutting down the entire sprinkler system. Lawn Guys came and redid the fitting and piping, eliminating the leak, and actually made a simpler configuration of the piping to the manifold which will prevent similar problems.

The 911 Plumbers performed the plumbing project with timeliness and professionalism. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs plumbing projects of any kind. The professionals that did the work for me were in my opinion top notch at what they do!

The companies have been amazing to work with, on all my projects. The issues I have is with the interface. The way to manage projects is pretty difficult. You are asked to review pros you didn't hire, and so have no info about. There is no way to only look at active projects. Or filter out closed or canceled ones.

HomeAdvisor provided plenty of roofing contractors from which to choose for my roof replacement project. I ended up selecting one of the contractors that it referred, and I am pleased for that advisory service. On the other hand, once HomeAdvisor had my email address, it tended to pester me with email solicitations for other services that I neither needed nor wanted. Other than this pestering, I am satisfied that the contractors that I interviewed through HomeAdvisor for my roof shingle replacement project were all reputable businesses. Please note: This complaint is about HomeAdvisor and not about the contractors.

I have used HomeAdvisor for all projects. It's so easy and would recommend it to be the only way to go! I have a project submit online and then the calls start coming! Everyone they recommend is great so all prescreening is so helpful. They do the legwork so you don't have to!

Used HomeAdvisor to locate basement remodelers in or near Annandale, Virginia. Got 4 remodelers, all with 4.5 to 5 star ratings on HomeAdvisor. Results: One contractor provided a very low estimate to remodel our basement; however, the contract lacked specific details as to the type of work to be done, and what materials would be used. We asked for more details and never got a response. Next contractor was very professional, and assured us their contract would be sent within “a few days.” After a week of no contract, we emailed and called and left messages, but never got a response.

This is a good service, as you get several top-rated outfits with whom to discuss the project, obtain quotes, and compare ratings. This saves a lot of time in comparison with just flipping through the yellow pages or relying on mere hearsay from other people.

Everyone says to get multiple estimates. Good idea in theory. I had a painting job open on HomeAdvisor and got 8 recommendations. Was able get 5 to return my call. 3 actually showed up at the house to give me an estimate. One followed through and supplied an estimate. We hired someone else as he was way out of the price range. Did the same with the flooring refinish. Got in touch with 6, 4 got back to me, one showed up. He got the job.

This is my first time dealing with HomeAdvisor, and I highly recommend it. Responses were FAST, and respondents were NOT pushy. I did my "comparative shopping," got all my questions answered, made my decision, informed all parties, and was left alone. Not sure it could get any better than that.

HomeAdvisor did connect me with a service that I liked. Prior to this however, I had tried to cancel an appointment and it was unclear how to do so. The site instructed that I should contact the servicing business to cancel, but when I contacted the business, they made it clear I had to cancel through HomeAdvisor. A call to HomeAdvisor did get the cancellation through, but the instructions on the site made this process a hassle.

If gutters go with Flow Wright MN Gutters. If bowed walls go with Innovative Basement Systems. Both companies are good quality, fair priced, and willing to answer all questions you may have. Would definitely hire them again. Don't need to waste time getting estimates from anyone else.

Needed a electrician for my backyard water feature and lights. James Barclay comes to my house and gives me a quote, but not only that we talked about the job. He understands my needs and meets me all the way. We haven't started the job yet but he is the man I want doing all my electrical work from now on. Had a breaker on main panel which would not reset. Did what I could to solve and then sought electrician. Helped having site like HomeAdvisor to screen for electricians. Once contacted, Rock Steady Home Solutions came and solved problem, same day.

The service was helpful and helped with my small projects. My area is going through a building boom and contractors are not quoting unless the job is $25,000 or more. HomeAdvisor helped me find independent licensed contractors who were willing to do smaller jobs.

For some unknown reason HomeAdvisor canceled my appointment with Angel but he called me to give me a heads up. Do not know if it was a glitch in the system. But Angel and I kept the appointment. I chatted with someone at HomeAdvisor and they put the appointment back in.

Good service people are available through this service. The only problem is that so far we have not found someone who could build a portico for our front entry. People who replace roofs, etc. contact us but not someone who can build a portico. The service does not seem to have a section or a choice for specific additionals to the house.

I called all the reputable contractors listed on the HA site, it was very important for me to read the reviews by other homeowners who had hired the listed contractors. The rating of the experience is an accurate guideline in making guideline to assist in decision system leading to hiring of the the most reliable contractor for a home project.

Cibely's did a great job of cleaning my house. They brought all of their own cleaning products and equipment. When they were finished, my house looked and smelled great. My only complaint would be that they were an hour late. :( I am hoping that was a one-time occurrence.

I used Erros for drywall and painted cabinets. I used George painting for outside home. I love the solar it helps to lower bills. The house main water service and water Filtration System needed to be re-piped and done correctly. The Plumbers added three (3) by-pass ball valves, new pressure regulator, 1" copper lines and remounted the Filtration System. They also repaired a broken water pipe and relocated a hose bib.

Overall, I've had several good experiences with this service. HA provides easy access to multiple professionals based on a concise description of the service needed. In some cases, there are few options listed but to date, I have always been able to hire someone for quality work. I've had a few follow up calls from their concierge service, which I'd just as soon not receive as I am reasonably aggressive about finding someone if their recommendations don't work out. But I expect that for many users, that would be a good feature of the service.

This was my first experience with Home Advisor. I wanted to have my carpet cleaned, but I didn't want to spent a lot of time researching companies. Using Home Advisor allowed me to skip a lot of calling around and just get down to the facts: they showed me who would service my rural neighborhood and what other customers had to say about the companies. Main water service line leaks. About 1x1 cement needed to be cut to access and work about the leak area 2 feet below surface, even though the leaks was already exposed before the actual estimate. I went ahead and agreed with the job because its estimate was still better than the other two estimates.
