Started using this website more frequently this year for the new house. I get good list of service providers. The reviews help you narrow the list. For NYC, it seems Queens and Brooklyn service providers have better pricing compared to those from Manhattan.

Replaced water heater - there was instant responses from repair companies, with fair prices. Once I chose a repair company and spoke with them I felt that they would do a good job on my home. The only improvement would have been that once at the job they could have updated before making the repair.

TV antenna was positioned and fixed correctly and found out some wrong connections not supposedly connected was there on our roof top TV Antennae. The Representative service man scan the TV channels was working before leaving the job site. Reasonable service charge. A Satisfied customer.

Your appointment times for the service were in 1 hour increments whereas the company used a range of time. They were on time within their range but that's not what your site indicated was their policy. Your site said 1pm but it turned out that it was 1 to 5 which was the range the company told me. The electrician arrived at 4:30 which was in their range but very far from HomeAdvisor's 1pm appointment.

Found plumber on HomeAdvisor, easy to find, easy to communicate with plumber. Plumber responded immediately (Sunday), set up appt. for Tuesday, work done on time and completed Tuesday. Overall fast, efficient, excellent service. I would recommend to anyone. Thanks very much!

I have always had good experience with HomeAdvisor. They were quick, fair, and experienced pros. They quickly call and assess the problem. Pricing is fair, and most importantly they know what they are doing! I dislike using people I know to work in my home, it is better to hire an individual who does not have a personal relationship.

Honestly I didn't really care for HomeAdvisor at first. Simply because I received so many text messages and emails from the pros listed with HomeAdvisor. But the pro I hired through HomeAdvisor turned out to be the best plumber ever. They were very courteous and professional about everything. I decided to hire this plumber because of the rating and feedbacks left. Compare to other site, this was better since I did not have to click so many times and got me the pros with great reputations. I definitely changed my opinion about HomeAdvisor!

It was shown in such a way that it was the company phone number not HA and therefore it felt quite contrived and I wasn't left with a good reaction to HomeAdvisor, sorry.

I would not use them to walk my dog. Don't believe their hype. They're not worth it. If I could have given half a star I would have.
