HomeAdvisor has been a big help finding reliable and professional contractors for upgrades we have been doing to our home. We have received quick responses from the contractors and they were able to do the work in a timely manner. All four of the contractors we have hired through HomeAdvisor have been very experienced and did excellent work.

A/C tech was great! Our system went down at the start of the cooling season (naturally!!) and we perused HomeAdvisor and they contacted us in 15 seconds! We scheduled for the following afternoon but they had an available tech nearby the next morning and he showed up, diagnosed the problem and fixed it right away.

I found that the HomeAdvisor Service was easy to use and provided a list of good service companies for A/C repair. It was extremely helpful that when I selected the supplier, it was very easy to schedule an appointment through the site. I would definitely use this site again.

Jake was highly professional in his work and in his communication with us. He is truly client-focused, not profit-focused. Jake repaired our air conditioning unit in a very timely fashion and provided us with a wealth of information about what he was doing while he was here.

Pest control: Once I decided to start vetting a service provider I went right to HomeAdvisor. I submitted the request and a provider called me back within ten minutes. Using the references from HA I hired the company once they provided the quote.

I have never had a bad experience when using Home Advisor. I have tried another service similar to this one and it was a nightmare. I hired an electrician about a year ago and had a very bad experience and thought I would never use HomeAdvisor again but I used them for an electrician last week and was very pleased. I just booked a cleaning service through HomeAdvisor so I hope I am happy with them. They have very positive reviews but not any current ones. I'll write a review after the job is complete.

I had just spent a month sleeping in my comfortable chair in the living room because I had pulled a groin muscle and could not walk upstairs. I had difficulty getting upstairs at the best of times. I contacted 101 Mobility and was very impressed by their caring attitude. And professionalism. I am so pleased by the final installation that I feel I could not have chosen a better contractor. If I had known what a luxury it would be to be able to go upstairs without risk and major effort, I would have had a stair lift years ago. It is not terribly mechanical looking, the whole project went smoothly, the technicians who did the final installation were a pleasure to have in my home.

Fast, courteous and knowledgeable. The service company contacted me immediately and they came out and fixed my dryer and closed the dryer vent the next day. I would use HomeAdvisor again. It saved me from calling several different companies to find someone who could come to my home quickly.

Very professionally run operation. Connected me with repair company who performed repair (Washer repair) in an efficient manner. They had necessary part to repair my old machine and explained why it was needed. Checked part on ohmmeter and displayed intermittent good/bad connection.

Metal Roof Project: HomeAdvisor made it very easy to find a contractor in our area. We called the roofer from information on HomeAdvisor and had an estimate for our project in 48 hours. We hired this pro and are very happy with the result.

They (M. White's Cleaning Service) were punctual and accomplished a huge amount of work in a very short time. They are a family business and treat your house as if it were their own. Have hired them to come weekly as we have 6 cats and my elderly father living with us. They also offer organizing service and I plan to hire them for that also! They are a one stop shop for all your household needs.

Where has this service been all of my life? Easy to use. Incredibly good recommendation as to a contractor -- who knew what he was doing. Would definitely use for other handyman projects. Three electrical projects -- all completed in 90 minutes -- and house left just as neat as he found it.

Small animal removal from attic - Josh arrived well within the timeframe set. He got right to work assessing the best place to put the trap to catch my critter. He explained what he had done when he was finished, and went over my receipt with me. We set up the follow-up appt. and he made sure that it was convenient for me. He was friendly and courteous the whole time.

Sliding door repair - HomeAdvisor provided me with local contractors, I contacted one and everything is going very well. Although the project has not yet been completed because parts had to be ordered, I'm very happy with the company and HomeAdvisor has kept in touch to see if I'm satisfied with their recommendations. I would highly recommend.

HomeAdvisor offered a great alternative to call the major service provider which has often been our first inclination. Yes, it's easier to call "the dealer" for your car repair, but you pay inflated rates for the infrastructure and the extra bells and whistles. Same situation for appliance repair. We were able to contact a small company that doesn't have the same budget for advertising, got the work finished in a timely manner, and believe that we paid a fair price for the repair.

HomeAdvisor was easy to use and I found a good contractor who delivered a good product. I was out of state when the work was being done and he kept me well informed and sent several texts and photos during the work.

Exterior Door Install - We are extremely pleased with HomeAdvisor. We've tried to use other sites like this in the past and never got any responses. We got a call the next business day from them. Had a salesperson out quickly. We were given several companies within a 20 mile radius of where we live. Checked reviews and made the best decision for us.

This site has produced some very high quality contractors for my jobs around the house. The quality and cost of the work has been very acceptable and I would recommend to family and friends. I had insulation installed, roof and the driveway re-sealed and all of the jobs have meet my expectations.

For the most part I have been pleased with the level of contractors that I have used through HomeAdvisor. The last one (Super Mario Drywall) did an ok job, but turn out to be, not a man of his word, although he got paid what he billed me for.

Freedom Development demoed and replaced rotted wood and drywall inside the garage due to an unattended roof leak. Outside replaced and painted the stucco siding that had been damaged. They cleaned up and left the work area like brand new.

HomeAdvisor claims they offer a $50 cash reward for completing 3 projects with HA professionals. Within 2 weeks of starting my home projects I used 3 professionals. HA "Customer Solutions" told me that the Rewards Team is about 4 weeks out with the $50 dollar reward. After 6 weeks and no reward I called and was forwarded to a voice mail where I could leave my phone number and reason for the call and someone would return my call in 2-3 days. I would not recommend HomeAdvisor for this reason.

Had never used HomeAdvisor and I heard a commercial. Went online looking for someone to clean our dryer vent. Very impressed with the time frame. Within 5 minutes after I submitted request for an estimate, I received a phone call from Ron.

They contacted me within half an hour of going on HomeAdvisor and then came over to look at my air condition unit. They came over around 11:00 and this was on a Sunday. I was shown what was wrong with the unit and what needed to be replaced. The unit had been put in in 1994. They quoted me a price and made an appointment to come the following Thursday. I am very happy with the work and how nice and professional they were.

HomeAdvisor was easy to use. I received three provider emails within a few hours of my request. They gave three provider choices. Two were very local the third one was in Brooklyn. They all charged same price per camera. I chose the service provider with the best phone attitude and the one that wanted to come view the site before outdoor surveillance camera installation. I have used HomeAdvisor for many projects and have found good contractors. However the only thing they could do better is have a category for companies that either do not show up for the estimate or that do and they are hired to do the job but never come and complete it. This has happened to me twice. Where someone came and gave me a expected estimate and they never came to do the work. There was no place to report this to them and when I called them all they said they could do was notify the company of my concerns. These companies never called and told me they were not coming and I waited and waited for them to come do the work. Same with getting an estimate from one. They told me a date and time and I waited and they never showed. When I called them they said they would check into it and have them come that day, they never did nor did they return my calls.

They replaced one zone valve ($150) and nine sprinkler heads ($180). Maybe a little pricey but it was worth every dime of it! Had all the proper tools. Explained what they were doing along the way. Cleaned up after themselves.

I entered the type of job I needed done (install well pump equipment) and within minutes of finishing HomeAdvisors web page, I received a call from a local company that did excellent work and arrived when they said they would. HomeAdvisor has saved me a lot of work in attempting to find local help.

Due to having to hire 2 plumbers for same issue, I was on the border if I should continue to use HomeAdvisor. This second company really gave me a much better experience and made me stay with HomeAdvisor for future projects.

The professional I hired was great. Unfortunately for HomeAdvisor, he was the only one of the three that even bothered to respond. This has plagued us before when using HomeAdvisor in other cities. HA needs to better monitor how many of the professionals they are recommending are actually responding as it creates a negative impression of the overall service.

I recently called HomeAdvisor thinking I was calling an AC contractor in my area. I was surprised when someone from HomeAdvisor answered my call. I told her I wanted to contact this particular contractor and she told me they answered their calls. So I told her I wanted to get an estimate on replacing our AC unit at our home from this particular contractor. She put me on hold and when she came back (quickly) on the line, told me the contractor couldn't do it. I thought that was suspicious, as I know there are no AC contractors who would turn down an opportunity to replace an AC unit. So I went back to find this particular contractor's local number, contacted him and scheduled for him to come and give me an estimate.

After trying to find a mowing service through the phone book with zero results, I tried HomeAdvisor as a "last resort." Not only was a service recommended, but they actually contacted me. Something none of the ones I'd called previously did. Communication was prompt and the service was great. My yard hasn't looked so nice in a long time. I'll be using HomeAdvisor again.

I think this is such a great place to find reliable help. I used HomeAdvisor in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I have continued here in Kansas City, Missouri. They always find such great people. I would recommend them to anyone looking for help.

HomeAdvisor was able to recommend someone, to repair drywall and nail pops. Mr. ** with Little Fixins Home Repair called and came out next morning. He came the following morning and started the repairs. HomeAdvisor help me to find someone that was able to get the job done. Not knowing anyone, this was a big help. Very pleased.

Very satisfied with the power washing and exterior painting work and price by Dave Docherty & Sons! They were punctual, efficient, personable and responsible. Finding a good general contractor for residential work is difficult. I would highly recommend Dave Docherty & Sons to friends and family!

RE: A/C primary circuit board replacement. Of the 3 vendors provided & notified, two of them called me, one within minutes of my inquiry. As it was somewhat of an emergency, that vendor was scheduled. However, the only way I could get competitive quotes for required repair is for each to make a service call for their going rate. All offered to deduct service charge if hired. Charges ranged from $69 to $99.

The Pro I selected Plumbing today gentleman name is Richard. I needed a new pipe that busted in my basement that lead outside. Richard was very good explaining what He needed to do. Take the time to go over what he was doing. Would use again for other plumbing needs.

They both proved to be qualified and came to see the work scope within a few days and submitted quotes. We selected the higher quote because we felt the professionalism was excellent. We had to compromise on size and materials to fit it in our budget which we regret. Not the fault of the vendor.

HomeAdvisor was great to help locate a quality company and provide reviews and ratings, and connect us with a vendor to make these repairs in a fast manner. We had good options and comparisons and felt like we not only make good choice, but found a bargain and established a relationship with a company that we'll continue doing business with. Our biggest complaint came with HomeAdvisor's follow up procedures. We don't feel we need to be called by an operator within hours of the recommendation to gauge HomeAdvisor's customer service. We hadn't even settled with the vendor about when to visit the house and give us an estimate. HomeAdvisor, be a bit more customer service oriented with your gathering of satisfaction data. Don't abuse having our phone number. Unsolicited calls is the fastest way for us to want to consider going back to Amy's List.

Just had another successful HomeAdvisor experience. We used HomeAdvisor to find E.F. Thomas & Sons Electrical Contractors and they were ideal. Prompt, professional and friendly service at a reasonable price. Being relatively new to the area, we have used HomeAdvisor to help us local quality service and workmanship for our home. We know we can always count on HomeAdvisor to help us find the needed professionals.

They were very attentive to my chemical allergies, needs and certain ways I asked to do the cleaning. They were on time and I was thrilled that even though they were training a new guy the supervisor was there for the entire job. :)

Cole's Pool Service was prompt and within my budget. Dave returned all my calls. Answered any and all questions that I had. He provided me with a formal quote. He worked with me on timing regarding my insurance company. I would recommend calling him for your pool needs.

I had a copper water supply line break to the clothes washer. The repair work was finished quickly and professionally. I have no complaints or outstanding issues. Completed work is solid. I would definitely use them again for any plumbing issues.

I was contacted by one of them (B&B Properties Solution), and within an hour and half the technician came, fixed the garbage disposal. The technician was very professional and honest. Pleased with our experience with HomeAdvisor. However, had to jump through too many hoops trying to submit a review of our contractor. Very difficult. Had to call for assistance because I never received emails I was instructed to look for.

I have one big gripe with HomeAdvisor. I have gotten many high-quality professionals through them, but they do not eliminate companies with many complaints and obvious abusive practices from their referral lists. I got two such companies as referrals, and when I called HomeAdvisor about it, I just got the standard customer support reply: "We apologize for your bad experience." Customer Support called me back about the complaint, without actually addressing the issue, so many times, I asked them to stop calling me about it. So, basically, when you're referred by HomeAdvisor, you're on your own to filter out the rip-off companies.

Removed old insulation in a tight attic approximately 1100 sq. feet. Spray foam insulation installed. Put up a plastic tarp to keep as much of the place clean as possible. Sean was very informative and educated on things others companies did not disclose upfront.

I called Sterling. Left a message. HomeAdvisor called back and made an appointment. Sterling arrived and made a plan about the chicks in the wall. Two weeks later, birds were gone. Called Sterling to confirm birds were gone and nailed wood patches over the two holes about 16 feet up.

I understand that they have a variety of companies to choose from, and I am grateful for that, but it was a little disconcerting to be "attacked" all at once by five companies calling. I used them for a termite project on main estate, they gave me a follow-up call day or two after to see how things went. I was riding my mountain bike and realized I needed a plumber for a condo rental unit. 3 plumbers called me in 5 minutes. Excellent quality of work done on time and at a good price. Eric helped me to move a large sectional and to carry rugs to another space. I have lots of tile - entryway, kitchen, hall, bathroom, and family room. The tile and grout is a creamy white color, but the grout had become extremely dark and grungy looking over several years. Eric said he could get it clean and he delivered - the entire space looks like new!

I got a recommendation from HomeAdvisor within 24 hours and took the first name on the list, and was extremely happy with their service. They came in 2 days, had all the equipment necessary to do the job, and did the entire installation in less than 3 hours.

Looking for a new roof, I clicked on HomeAdvisor. Within minutes, I was contacted by a roofing company. The price was right, local business... All is well. The new roof has leaks... I can deal with that. The house is for sale and the buyers asked for license and insurance info. I had to look into it. The roofing company had neither. HomeAdvisor steered me to an unlicensed and uninsured company. No checks what-so-ever. Upset, and will seek recourse for sure.

May 9 after another email asking when workers would come, he indicated the next week. Since that day no response to emails or telephone calls.
