I have used HomeAdvisor for about 4 different services so far and have been very happy with them. The contractors all look forward to great reviews so they strive to please you. It's a win/win for all. I've used 2 landscaping companies, Jonathon's Painting, 1 plumbing company and 2 roofing companies. It's worth your time. Read their reviews. Unfortunately, HomeAdvisor hasn't given me credit for using this many of their contractors for several years.

In our area we were unable to find a contractor to repair the damage to our ceilings and paint them. HomeAdvisor provided us with a contractor that was able to do a quality job. The fact that HomeAdvisor prescreens the contractors made it less stressful.

The Home Advisor experience was great. It took me a little time to find the place to type in my issue but once I did, it all went well. I loved how quickly someone called us. We scheduled him for the next day and Sevan came out and did a great job of fixing the electrical problem.

My husband asked if I could find a pool service with a fair price to come and open the pool cause he works two jobs and time is limited. I called this service and they returned my call immediately and came late on the appointment but had the courtesy to text my husband to let him know the time of arrival. Your service was very friendly and customer focused which is important for business looking to expand especially seasonal ones like this one. Local was great as well.

I had the shower remodeled and needed the tub tile upgraded from standard ceramic tile that was installed when the house was build to match the shower. I had additional porcelain tile left over and had them use that to upgrade the tub and match the shower.

I was very worry for the kind of work when I was looking for a company. This is the only one calling asking information for the right estimate like location of the tank if is underground, stuff like that. I noticed this company have very good customer service by phone and by email. They are very professionals. In less than 2 hours the tank was out clean in the street, they clean and cover the driveway and they fill it very nice like nothing happened. I recommend this company.

Very professional, personable, and good rates. Installed a designated electrical line for our spa, checked over a couple problems, and will be returning to install a RV hookup for us. We would highly recommend Jeff and his assistant. We felt very confident in the work that was done.

Sewer clean out. The company contacted me immediately and scheduled me in for same day service. The plumbers showed up on time and did a great job fixing and testing the problem for correctness. They even did some extra work to ensure the work was complete and done right.

As a widow of a Vietnam veteran, I believe in supporting our veterans when possible. I would hire this company again.

Additionally, the service provider was courteous in scoping out the work over the phone and provided me an estimate. Final charges were consistent with the estimate given over the phone.

Sierra and his crew came even quicker than they said they would and it is great they did, as when they started on cutting down the tree we found out it wouldn't have taken much for the tree to blow over and damage our house. The actual replacement of the sidewalk was great! Hard workers, making minimum mess. The color that we paid $800 extra for ended up drying in two colors, showing where the plastic sheeting laid. Emailed Gary (**) at the company's number and after over a week got a reply indicating it could be fixed with sealer. Sent the photos on April 16th. May 9 after another email asking when workers would come, he indicated the next week. Since that day no response to emails or telephone calls.

I used HomeAdvisor today for several small plumbing jobs that were required from a home inspection to sell my house. The contractors called me immediately. The best thing is that I wasn't calling around to find a contractor, then beg to get my work done timely. I have scheduled several other small jobs associated with the sell of my home. Removed 22 trees, cut all the logs to 16" lengths and piled up, chipped all the brush into one pile, cleaned up. Nice guys doing the work. Very happy with the results! Would definitely recommend them to others.

Done so quickly and professionally. Wallpaperer, floorer, and painter were all excellent, trustworthy, neat & tidy, on time, and reasonably priced.

It's easy to use, I like that it searches for people local to me (one of the guys actually lives in my neighborhood), and everyone has been so professional, kind, and affordable. Well of the 3 - 1 set a time/date to come for an estimate a week away. After 2 hours late I contacted and was told needed to reschedule - no thanks. Had he called me it would have been different. 1 showed up - either drunk or recovering from a stroke. Never did send the estimated. The 3rd worked out great.

Next Day Painting was listed by HomeAdvisor. Based on HomeAdvisor's review I hired Next Day Painting, which did an excellent job. The owner of Next Day Painting is as honest as the day is long. He was at my house to introduce me to the painters, showed the painters exactly what was to be done, and they returned after the house was painted to inspect the job. Excellent company. Thanks for the recommendation.

Moved into new area and purchased older home. Needed referrals for several areas of work to be done and not knowing anyone to ask for referrals, checked out this online service. The two companies used for the areas of service were easy to work with and did have specials deals.

Replaced motor of furnace and cleaned out the furnace. The actual job to replace the motor and clean out the furnace (maintenance) took less than an hour, probably 30 minutes or so. They charged me $773 for the motor and labor. Was that a good price?

Manure bin construction - Cement base 24x24 ft, treated wooden 2x6 walls. Required leveling site, digging post holes, setting posts and pouring/finishing cement and construction of walls. Work done under very windy conditions and very rocky soil. We are very pleased with the results.

Called up HomeAdvisor site and asked for names of tree removal services. Only one name appeared... Ohio Valley Tree Experts. I reviewed info, checked their website and called the company. Did above early Monday AM (5/22). Later that morning, the owner, Eli, came to my house and gave me a free quote to do the job. I felt it was a fair amount and after talking to him and liking what he told me gave him the job. He came back today, Wednesday, 5/24/17, with his crew and they removed the tree limb/branches from my neighbor's tree which landed in my yard. After that they placed debris in their truck and removed from my yard. And, as Eli promised, they cleaned up my yard after they completed the removal. I am very pleased with this company and will be sure and use HomeAdvisor in the future.

The breadth and depth of offerings was excellent and I would recommend HomeAdvisor to a friend. The workers were competent and professional. I had some repairs needed to an outside staircase made of pressure treated wood. The carpenters were knowledgeable of standards of code and knew how to get the job done in a timely manner. The means of communication were sufficient and we were able to plan a course of action despite busy schedules on the workers' end as well as my own.

I would do it all over again if need be. 2 Vets Construction arrived as scheduled, work completed on time and with a high quality. Yup, I'd do it again if need be.

Had two zones air condition system and one (upstairs unit) will shut down when it is needed most (96-102 degree C). Then comes back on by itself in the middle of the night when weather was a bit cooler. This company was sent by HomeAdvisor.com and in hours' time had everything fixed and only charged me the service call fee. They were punctual and honest... I was in need of a water heater and did not know of any plumbers so I had seen a commercial for HomeAdvisor so I went on the website, put in for a plumber and they gave me 3 to choose from. I choose Precise Plumbing and would recommend that company to anyone in need of a plumber.

Trim, weed, and control weeds. Trimmed small shrubs and pygmy palms. Sprayed for weeds. They are going to come back after the spray takes effect to pull weeds. Applied weed and feed. Were very courteous and efficient. Cleaned up and hauled away.

I also think that people who hire companies reviewed on HomeAdvisor are more likely to write reviews of their own projects. So, the more reviews, the more confident you are about hiring these companies.

Homeadvisor is a great place to get names of good businesses that have already been rate by past customers. I was able to easily find the names of contractors and compare the bids from each (Granite countertop installation). I would definitely use homeadvisor again for any future projects!

I am a disabled person in a wheelchair and I needed some indoor work performed inside of my home in which I can't physically do because of my current condition. I have seen the ad on TV hundreds of times to use HomeAdvisor to hire a professional, licensed, insured and background checked individual to come out to my home for services I require. Boy, was that a big mistake and I will explain.

I was disappointed that I only had 1 business contact me back once I requested info on repair of my refrigerator freezer which was leaking water. The 1 business that did call me back called within 10 minutes of my posting and was able to come out within a business day.

We had an excellent experience with the first 2 contractors. Our last experience with Uptown Plumbing was terrible! The individual was incompetent, caused damage to our property, and the drainage problem is as bad as before he came. He then wrote "Not liable for damage due to cable."

I don't understand how some merchants get on this site. The process seems flawed somehow. I don't understand how 4 businesses can give as wide a range for a project from $26,000 to $4500.00, in this case, Ironwork. Or how a merchant can completely disregard a verbal agreement, then place my entire project and deposit with another business in jeopardy and STILL be part of HomeAdvisor. I don't see how HomeAdvisor is supposed to be MUCH better than just Googling contractors in your area.

These were friendly guys that knew their trade. It was a difficult mount with a heavy monitor. There were problems with the studs and the mount. They did eventually overcome the issues but it took too long. An expense that was passed on to me. That being said, they did a good job and I will use them again...

Process went smoothly. However, of the names submitted, only one vendor replied (plumbing) and actually followed up on my inquiry. The reviews on that vendor were very good and, as a result, I hired that vendor who did a very good job. I will definitely use HomeAdvisor should the need arise.

Asphalt re-paving - Received three quotes. Hired the best price and time frame I required to finish the job. I have to admit the first company was annoying. One gave a ridiculously expensive estimate for the work I wanted and did not give the impression they were truly interested. Randolph Remodel was the second estimate. Not only was he reasonable, he was friendly, interested and ended up being a joy to work with. Overall, because I found Randolph, it was a great experience.

I needed to have a new home electrical panel installed and all necessary updates to meet code. I also had a lightning surge protector installed to protect my home. The installations was done in a timely manner and very professionally.

I had a sagging fence gate. From start to finish (call to end of job) it was two hours. Very satisfied. Reasonable. Fence gate is back to normal, easy to open and close. Back fence is some missing boards, he recommended repair instead of replace.

More sprinkler heads were added, resulting in much better irrigation coverage. This helped to alleviate damage caused to turf by the current drought condition. However, some sod will have to be replaced. This will be the next step in the lawn repair process. I plan to hire Turf-Master for this, if the cost is right.

4 companies were matched to our needs. My biggest complaint was that we were immediately bombarded with phone calls from these companies to set up appointments. I felt under pressure. All I wanted was a list of companies that I could research then contact when it was convenient for me. Also, I found out that the companies pay to be on HomeAdvisor, so in some ways I was leary about whether or not the companies were honestly good. In a way, the companies were paying for customers, which I did not like. Despite the concerns, we did go with a HA company, and it turned out to be a good experience.

I have been a pro, using HA for 3 years. In the past year I have gotten crazy leads (like teen kids checking to see if they can live in basement). The problem is that HA really wants my money and will not issue refunds for these crazy leads they sell me. I have spent $2000 for worthless contacts. When I contacted customer service their response is always, "We have your money, we kinda tried to verify what you said, but not very hard. Keeping your money." I don't mind crazy inquiries but I do mind paying for them. Very poor customer service and support. Sad that HA sells leads for $100 to 5 pros, when in fact it is not even a lead. Wish people would send me $500 to talk to kids.
