I've used HomeAdvisor for a few different projects, and I've been impressed with the people they send and the work that's completed. Everything seems fairly priced, the contractors are nice and easy to work with, and the response time is very quick.

Our business offers residential plumbing and light commercial services. We submitted application (our qualifications and experience), certificate of insurance, and licenses to HomeAdvisor for us to become a member. We were approved and we've been with them for a long time and have had great success with them. Anytime they call, they mostly contact us when they've had an exact major lead for us and they've always been real courteous whenever they've been switching over their customer to us. Our relationship with them has definitely helped our business. There's only one complaint that we would say we have is when they send out the leads either by text message, emails or an alert from the app, we are real quick to respond right within a minute or less and sometimes the customer says that we've already been contacted and it's getting to someone.

HomeAdvisor makes it convenient for a homeowner to select from a list of qualified professionals of a variety of specialties. It is reassuring that these service pros have already been checked out by HomeAdvisor, and I am not blindly choosing someone for my project who is capable of putting up a website.

I was looking to get my kitchen chairs repaired. They had started to get unglued/loose after 15 years. I went on line and attempted various searches. HomeAdvisor came up and I called them. They quickly found a service person in my area and gave to me the information I needed to get the job done. I am pleased with this service.

As a home service professional, I love HomeAdvisor and I have no issues with them. I've been with them about two or three years and I enjoy working with them. I'm a plumbing contractor and the only thing that I have listed with them is water feeder replacement and repair.

HomeAdvisor is a real good thing. There's a lot of tricks that get snuck in on us a lot of times. Sometimes when you're on the website, you cannot hit submit and they'll still send your information out sometimes. And the way that I know that for sure is when I first got on with them. I looked at it online and it said view a contractor and next thing I know I had contractors calling my house. And I never hit submit. On the flip side, I've also called people before and they tell me, "Well, I was just looking. I didn't ask for anything."

I clean gutters, windows, carpets, kitchen floors, kitchen counters, hallways, bathroom floors, etc. just a little bit of everything and majority of my customers come from them. I’m booked up for the next two and a half weeks.

It's a great tool and website when you need to find a contractor in a jam.

He constructed a beautiful tile walk in shower for use by a disabled person. The shower was everything I hoped for and more. Workmanship is beyond reproach. Trying to get him to bid on other projects in my home.

The one thing I don't like about my experience is that some people go online just to search -- they are not even ready for the lead yet. That has happened a number of times and I just credited it to people doing the wrong thing so I didn't dispute it. But other than that I'm satisfied with HomeAdvisor where I'll keep it going. I definitely got a lot of work off of it although I could use more leads as I don't seem to be getting much for the last month or so.

A team of seven came and replaced an old roof in 6 hours. The team worked efficiently without a break. The work was well done, and they cleaned up the ground after the work even with a magnet to pick up the nails. A real A-Team indeed.

I needed some recommendations for a dry wall repair and HomeAdvisor was quick and effective in providing a list of possible professionals for me to choose from. I picked one and I am very happy with the service provided.

I've used HomeAdvisor for a long time and I've had a fairly good experience with them. There's good things and bad things but they're all acceptable.

In the morning at first start, the AC unit would surge. My bad I had not had any service done on it for many years so I thought I would check with Home Advisor to get some information on local AC repair companies. The company I looked at first and read the reviews seemed to fit what I was looking for. Before I even had a chance to leave their Web page I had a call from the company. Having liked what I read I decided to go with them. The only downside I have with the Home Advisor was I then received calls from other companies. If I had been looking for cost estimates I would have liked that but I was pretty happy with the company I had selected. I will use Home Advisor for all my jobs in the future.

I loved the entire experience until I got to the survey. It is SOOOOOOOOO broken on mobile that I almost didn't try to fill it out on my computer, but the guys deserved a great review. Also, on my computer (full site for the review) I put in 1.5 hrs, and hit submit at which point the survey errored out and told me to fix the errors but there wasn't any field that was highlighted to show me it was wrong. Fix it.

I spoke with a representative about quotes I received over a year ago and she was able to find the one I wanted to use. I felt this was very helpful since it saved me from having to repeat the process. I felt this was excellent record keeping.

Looking for cleaning services quote. It was somewhat overwhelming with all the calls suddenly coming in. I received some calls and chose two. I hired Axis LLC.

I ordered (4) HD security cameras for my home after experiencing issues with my neighbor's son, his friends and their basketball hoop. He was hitting my cars with the basketballs and when I approached his mother about it, she was completely unconcerned and refused to move or adjust the position of the hoop. I then discovered that this was a civil matter and that my HOA at The Retreat would do nothing to assist me.

The company called within 2 minutes of the online request. Honest, courteous and on time! Felt comfortable with them being a part of HomeAdvisor's list of companies. Definitely a company I will use again. I absolutely recommend this process for finding a repair company.

My business offers electrical services and has been a member with HomeAdvisor for a year and three months. The process to become a member was rocky there for a minute because they said they would only take out $99 out of my account but they took out $200 which caused a major problem in my account. But at that time, I was still in my house fighting cancer. But I was told and I was promised that that wouldn't happen and it did happen and it caused a problem with the bank. But I must admit, after that, my experience has been A+ and in the end, it was very helpful to me. Their team were professional and friendly.

It's nice to see lists of pros in your area for jobs.. But I am finding that many pros listed don't do the work that they are categorized to do. I also am having a lot of trouble with call backs and even no shows for appointments. It is not much better than looking up phone numbers online for your companies in your area.

Neal Heat & Air did a great job at a very reasonable price. We paid double 3 weeks earlier for the same thing and it wasn't even fixed.

Signed up after lots of calls from a rep. I gave them a prepaid credit card for 200.00 to get us leads for our business. The leads were not services we provide and they charged us over 60.00 for some leads after telling me they would not be more than 35.00. I called the rep and told them I was done and they would not get another penny from me and the 200.00 was all they would ever get.

Very helpful locating a contractor in my area. In the initial questions about a project, HA asks "are you planning for the future & do you want to be contacted." When you select future planning & do not contact, the consumer should not receive immediate phone calls.

My experience with HomeAdvisor is good. We do a lot of estimates. If I had something to change though, it would be when they put the ad in, they don't always give you the street number on the ticket. That's a downfall. So when we dispatch a call if we get the text, there's no number. If it's 2612, they're forgetting that. Other than that, I would absolutely recommend them.

Searched for electrical assistance and were sent two options. Contacted each and one we found on our own. One from HomeAdvisor was the cheapest and they were great for our job. Have used this site before to get home remodeling help and have always been happy with the people who came out. Definitely using them again when we need help.

** removed a very large garden fence, about 30 FT by 30 FT consisting of picket fencing with large heavy posts, horizontal bottom boards, and wire mesh 2ft high all around. He then built the same style fence using pressure treated lumber fencing, 4 by 4 ft posts every 8 ft, heavy bottom boards, and then made a custom-built gate with new hardware. All posts were cemented into the ground and covered with crushed stone and finally with dirt. Once I add caps to the top of the posts and paint it all white, it will look like a work of art.

In February 2015, I went to HomeAdvisor on the internet looking for a plumber. I immediately received a phone call from Capital Plumbing, LLC. Since I let them into my home, it has been one long nightmare. I don't know how you screen potential companies for your service, but it needs to be completely revamped. They are the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. I was double charged for part of the work and other tasks have never been finished even though they have been paid in full. They make appointments and then don't show up or even call. They have repeatedly not returned my follow-up calls. If you want people to take HomeAdvisor seriously, you will remove Capital Plumbing, LLC from your referral list.

Last year I was advised that I would have to replace my swamp cooler. I knew this would be an expense. I was very concerned when calling HomeAdvisor because I thought they would recommend something twice as expensive as someone I locally had found before. They were actually cheaper. The ladies that took my message were very helpful, asked for clarity on what I needed and were very timely in both taking the messages and delivering them to the vendor. I had a very good experience with HomeAdvisor and will call them again!

HomeAdvisor connected me with pros very quickly, and the pros responded within minutes of submitting my request. Would use the service again for future projects.

Found someone to use very quickly and was very pleased with their service. Just be sure to pay attention to the rates advertised versus the rate they actually charge you.

Nonetheless I'm giving this feedback for them to use and improve upon their services. These are a couple of gripes that we've encountered recently with them.

I have utilized the HomeAdvisor twice now. Once for my floor tile lifting and once for the cleaning of my dryer vent. Yes, I would highly recommend the HomeAdvisor and I have recommended the HomeAdvisor! I chose correctly and wisely for my floor tile repair. However, I didn't choose wisely with the dryer vent cleaning company. Thank you sincerely HomeAdvisor!

Used HomeAdvisor to get services I needed to close on my home, like home inspection and termite pest control. Plan to use it to do home improvement work on our new fixer-upper home.

The outside temperature was near 100 and my AC was running non-stop. It was set at 78 but the inside temp was 80. I walked outside to the condenser unit and the return line was iced over. Knowing I had a problem and the forecast was for 101 the next day, I got online to look for heating and air service companies with reviews in my area. I saw the HomeAdvisor ad and thought I'd give it a try. I clicked on the Heat Pump Repair/Service, inserted my name, email addies, phone number, address and clicked send. In less than 10 seconds my phone was ringing. HomeAdvisor connected me to a local AC contractor at that time, we made an appointment time, and my AC unit is back online.

The company you matched me with showed up on Saturday but couldn't fix the problem. They said they would return on Monday. We waited all day and after multiple phone calls, they called and said they couldn't make it and would be there at 8 a.m. sharp on Tuesday. It is now 4:18 p.m. and they still haven't showed up (again after multiple phone calls).

Our business offers electrical services, and we have been a member of HomeAdvisor for a year. They've been good for our business and we're still taking calls from them. At first, it was very good. It seemed like I used to get 90% of the jobs. And then I dropped to about 50%. And now, only about 10% people return my calls, 90% don't. So people are calling up and they don't know how to use HomeAdvisor. I think it would be good if HomeAdvisor communicated more to the consumers, because we're getting charged for every call. These people are calling up and playing on the computer and punching buttons and were getting charged for them but they really didn't want the work done in the first place. I had one lady say, "Well, I was just playing on the computer." Another lady says, "Well, I didn't really mean to push that button, but I did. I really was just playing around and I punched buttons on accident."

We're a plumbing company and being a member of HomeAdvisor since 2010 has been pretty good so far. The sign-up process was simple. The team at HomeAdvisor are always fun and efficient. HomeAdvisor gives us a good amount of leads. We have to fight for the leads but that's the way it is. With all of the contractors they have on, the consumers tend to be tire-kickers and look for the cheapest deal they can. And unfortunately, you get what you pay for in this industry. We have over 85 star reviews on there so people tend to understand they're getting quality when they get us, that price is no object.

I had never used HomeAdvisor until my home central A/C stopped working in sunny South FL. I wanted to find a reputable source to find a tech. I did find my A/C tech through here, and it was an easy experience. I experienced a fast response from A/C techs, great quality of labor and very knowledgeable tech, and a realistic overview of wages (but not very realistic). I would recommend HomeAdvisor to invest their time in getting the most accurate per hour labor wage for my area, and even an estimate for the different types/common A/C repairs.

I was very impressed with the responsiveness and the selections recommended for me by HA. I appreciated that there were reviews available of the contractors recommended on the website. I was able to meet and get estimates from 3 companies, and chose 1 of them. I'm very satisfied with the quality of their work and with my experience using this website. I've never been on Angie's List, and I don't know what it costs. But I can't imagine paying for that when all you need is right here. It's awesome, and it's FREE.

And when I was looking for advertising, a partner had told me about it so I called and got signed up with them. And that was six years ago. They are always professional and courteous all the time. HomeAdvisor has helped me every year and it is where I get the most calls out of all my advertising.

Of the three contractor, one did not contact us, one came by for an estimate but did not send one, and one me came from quite a distance. I did hire the one and got the job done at an Ok price. I really don't like it when a contractor does not follow up and wastes my time by coming but not delivering the quote..

When it's working, it works pretty good. But when it's not working, you get a lot of bad leads. A lot of people are just searching on the internet and they're kind of just fumbling and bumbling around. They don't know that we, contractors, get charged every time they press the button. It would be nice if the consumer knew if you press this button, people are going to get charged a lot of money. I have used Home Advisor twice. The first time I had difficulty getting in touch with the professional I chose. When I notified Home Advisor they promptly contacted the professional and assisted me in getting my project completed. The second experience was extremely smooth. I will definitely use Home Advisor again.

I went to their site to find a plumber. They had a box to check a box if I did NOT want the contractor to call me and if I just wanted to see the names. After being annoyed by calls from various plumbers, I decided not only to check out all the plumbers, but I also checked out HomeAdvisor.com. Then I called back one of the plumbers to ask him about his experiences with HomeAdvisor.com. It became clear right away that the reason they have the contractors call you is that they get paid for every number. I can only hire one person. But HomeAdvisor.com reels in the money every time a contractor calls a number. So, they made money off my number several times today. What a racket they are!

They found a wire disconnected to the condenser fan motor and capacitor. They reset the pressure switch and the unit worked fine. This is how I know they are honest. I thought it was the connector switch and told them so. They could have easily agreed with me and charged me twice as much for the repair. I am completely confident that they are an honest company.

One of the architectural fence post was already broken at ground level when high linear winds approaching 75 mph took it down along with the adjacent 6'x8' panels of a friendship fence. The contractor, Top Choice Lawns, came out promptly (within 2 days) after being contacted and made the necessary repairs. They arrived ahead of time, got straight to work, got the repairs done quickly, and did a good job of cleaning up the job site after themselves. Both workers conducted themselves courteously and professionally.
