When I went to this site I was not aware they were sending my information to all those places or that I would be getting phone calls until AFTER I clicked. There should be a BIG CLEAR WARNING before you click to make sure people understand what you are doing with their information.

I had 5 possible services calling me within 24 hours. Ended up with a service that did a great job and a reasonable price. Very satisfied with HomeAdvisor - plan to use again soon!

Numerous times I have required HA services in different cities. Their contacts have always contacted me within minutes of my call. They have contacted my tenants and in some cases set reappointments to complete work. Very efficient service.

We found him on HomeAdvisor. He called right away, came right away, assessed and found the problem, replaced the rotted out switch so we could have water right away. He was honest and upfront. Suggested that we should replace everything because it was so old. My husband and I talked it over. When we bought our home 11 yrs ago, we had no idea about pumps and wells. We decided to go ahead with the replacement. Better to do it now than under 3 ft of snow. It turn out the original tank was from 1982 and pump from 1993. We are so pleased with his services. Honest, upfront and no hidden surprised. A genuinely nice honest man. Told us to call anytime. I would like to add, my neighbor who has lived here over 25 yr. was very impressed took his card. All in all, a great outcome to a bad situation.

TLC removed the old, damaged concrete and graded with road base and wire, cut several areas around a A/C unit and poured the 7 yards of now new concrete patio. Looks great!

Could not be more pleased with the work I had done by Build USA. They called me shortly after I submitted my request for work with HomeAdvisor and make an appointment promptly to look at my requirements and provide an estimate. They described exactly what was needed to redo my slate deck and front steps. They were patient and thorough describing the work required and answered all my questions.

I had plenty of fields to customize the service I was looking for. Within 5 minutes of submitting I had 3 installers call me, and 2 installers emailed me. I used one of the installers that phoned me and they did an excellent job! Every business that responded was the correct business type, and they were all very professional. Very professional, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. Small businesses thrive on cash, especially service jobs. Remember - if you want to negotiate price - CASH IS KING! Anyway - Home Advisor worked great and I will use them again.

HomeAdvisor sent names of three contacts: Juan ** called immediately, made an appointment for the next day, then never showed up and never called me again. The second never contacted me. The third, Terrascapes, made an appointment, showed up, seemed competent, got the job done.

I know deep down, your company would like to recommend quality contractors, and Tal Dream Design is not a quality contractor. He is a bully, a crook, and a swindler (Roi **). Please remove this company and have no more further business with them... We have tried this the nice way, now we are going to put our fighting gloves on! This man is not a very nice man and has been trying to bully and manipulate my poor, sick, husband into paying him for everything that was paid in full and that Mr. ** agreed to do when we signed up with Tal Dream Design. Please remove this company from your list of business associates!

When I need an experienced professional for around the house repairs or other real estate related issues I only use HomeAdvisor. I am a real estate investor and usually buy 5 to 8 houses a year. The houses I buy usually don't need a lot work, but I always hire a inspector, so that I don't have any hidden issues. I hire a company to clean and get my houses ready to show.

1st time user: I was looking for the names of the "top 3 Well pump contractors" in my area, as your listing said on Google. By the time I got done filling in all my data, as required by your site, I was stunned that the phone started ringing before I even got to read one single review, or compare any of the options. I'm rarely one to go for the first bid, and usually like to do some research before agreeing to use anyone, but since he was on the phone, and said he could come right away, I relented, and took a shot, hoping for the best. Fortunately, he was great, and did the work quickly, and at what I can only hope was a fair price, since I had no idea going in.

I have used three different contractor to finish my project: hardwood floor refinish, AC installation and installation of vent pipe and faucet. The contractors were able to explain the scope of work well and the charges are very reasonable. The work quality are great.

Replace one side and part of an adjoining side of the house with LP Smart Side and engineered wood siding. ECO had the best price for Smart Side or a fiber cement product had we chosen that instead. Smart Side has an excellent warranty, durability, and appearance. ECO was prompt, efficient, courteous and provided a quality finished product. We highly recommend both ECO and Smart Side for your siding repairs.

We are big fans of HomeAdvisor and have had great results in the past. I went to their website and it quickly identified two sliding glass repair companies with strong ratings. After entering in our request, we were contacted within a half hour. The glass repair was completed today and the quality of work was excellent.

HomeAdvisor instantly connected me with American Quality Steel Inc when I put the request for AC repair. He had absolutely no experience in repairing HVAC. He spent 3 hours, still could not figure out the problem. Replaced some parts in AC and tried to convince us that it should work. Took his money and left. HVAC was still not working and we had to hire someone else. Luckily, the second person - Air Quality HVAC, that HomeAdvisor recommended seemed experienced and they recommended we replace our entire HVAC system. Since it was scorching hot in the house, and after hours, we agreed to have new hvac. Air Quality HVAC LLC was pricey and we seemed little ripped off, but we were so happy to have cool air in the house finally after 3 days.

I went looking for a specific floor company and when they weren't available I jumped on here and plugged in my dates needed and they sent back recommendations. I picked the first one on the list with good reviews and they were able to call me immediately and set things up. Everything happened very quickly and was high quality work. I had only about a week's notice for them and they were able to find companies that were available. So helpful instead of wasting time calling all the places recommended to me by friends with no success.

They had a couple of calls come my way within minutes and somebody was scheduled to come to my home within the next couple hours. Overall experience was great, and I will definitely use it again in the future.

I'm looking for a fence contractor. HomeAdvisor had one about 20 miles from me that had won every award they have; had 27 5 star reviews & one 4 star review with pictures of perfect construction. The builder was Snell Fence in Bedford, VA. On one page HA has stated: 28 VERIFIED reviews; On a subsequent page in small print they write: "HomeAdvisor allows service professionals to post information about themselves and their business on their profile. HomeAdvisor does NOT review or VERIFY information set forth in those profiles, as they are self-reported by the Service Professional".

I only received one option from HomeAdvisor - so I rated the experience "4 stars". The company who responded and completed the work for us, however, did an awesome job, so we are very pleased.

So far, the contractors that we've used have been excellent! I love the fact that HA does not charge a monthly fee to access their listed contractors for one thing. The reviews are the most important part of the selection process which really act like referrals. We have our home plus investment properties, so this is a very good way for us to find contractors and to establish long-term relationships with those we've used. I do hope that HA will continue to maintain the quality standard and careful selection of listed contractors. As long as that is done, then I plan to be a long-term user of HA. So far, so good.

The business card says starting at $59 and this cost me $150 to snake the drain. It took about 20 min. Fidel was friendly, professional and efficient and took care of the slow drain. There has to be a cheaper way.

The crew was on time, did the work efficiently and cleanly. The floors look 'like new' and I'm thrilled with the results. I submitted a query to HomeAdvisor for some minor grading and a small concrete pad. I contacted two or three different places for a quote. One of them actually called back and that's the one we went with. He and his crew were great. I will use HomeAdvisor again.

On my first experience with HomeAdvisor, I was able to easily find a business for my needs. The guys were pleasant, professional and trustworthy. Plus the price for the service was phenomenal. I highly recommend HomeAdvisor and will definitely go through the site again in the future!

The HomeAdvisor email contact was easy and efficient to use... They provided local service companies that for the most part contacted me immediately. I did a little research as to their pricing both on product and labor, and was able to come to a satisfactory price. The company I used was All Garage Doors, and Chris and his assistant arrived early and did a real professional job.

All three contractors recommended through HomeAdvisor were professional and provided written estimates. Of the three, I selected Decked Out and was very pleased with the work and service. I have used HomeAdvisor in the past to have roofing work completed; and again, I was very pleased with the recommendations and the background provided for each contractor.

We were given only one choice of service provider. We found many in the area but trusted your assessment. It would have been better to have a few choices. The cost was very high for the work done.

I think your reviews may not be true of vendors in some cases. I just reviewed 2 I have had experience. One was really outstanding the other was not good...reviews were not accurate with my experience.

Someone came out and walked through the front and back yard, gave us an estimate, and showed us some of their work. Once I called to schedule service, they fit me into their schedule within a few weeks. They were efficient, friendly, and cleaned up once they completed. Totally would recommend them.

They don't play around. You get contact information right away - follow up emails and appointment reminders. (That is good because my time is important to me.) HA follows up on your experience with contractor. So far I have had no bad experiences. I've used them 3 times in the past 3 weeks for small projects. Very convenient.

The only negative I have about home advisor is that even when doing research, your info is submitted to service professionals. I don't think it is fair to the services to give out the info (and probably charge for a contact) when someone is not ready to engage for a job.

I have used HomeAdvisor several times and it is the first place I start when I am considering a home project. I appreciate that there is a degree of screening of service providers, but frankly I really value the customer ratings. I don't just look at the number of stars, but the consistence and recency of the evaluations. Consistent 5 stars (with an occasional blip with explanation) in recent months, gives me some degree of confidence in the prospective provider. This is a good service which I appreciate.

RHK Environmental Services is an expert mold remediation company. They know what they are doing. They explained the process and were precise and professional with the remediation. The crew were polite and considerate. Having mold as an issue is very upsetting. Having RHK clear it all up is comforting.

The company contacted me quickly but the appointment time was not available. We rescheduled. I am pleased with HomeAdvisor with the followup and having reputable companies to choose from.

We were experiencing a terrible leak through the inside walls of the chimney. They (the hired professionals) did a wonderful job in repairing, cleaning, tucking and testing their job. Without writing a short novel on what happened, we will suffice it to say the job did not go as planned. An estimated 5-6 hour job turned into a two day project. Mike and Chris worked 12 hours on the second day to finish. They worked their butts off and took very little breaks. I was duly impressed with their work ethic and their professionalism. They were on time, extremely diligent workers and they cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend HomeSpec for anyone needing foundation work.

I had several issues under my sink. Garbage disposal needed replacement. I had bought a new one at a local store and got a price of $434 to install it. Brady plumbing installed a better disposal with 1 year warranty for $433.50 (disposal included). Sink drainage needed repair and was completed. I am very pleased with the quality of the work.

I had a leaky sink faucet and looked up a "qualified plumber" to fix the leak. Under the impression HomeAdvisor researches the backgrounds and qualifications of the companies they recommend. The kid that came out was the owner's son, no Plumber's License. He used a saw to cut the faucet off (while I wasn't in the room) and cracks my granite, got upset and tossed the heavy Delta faucet into my granite sink, cracking the sink as well. HomeAdvisor DO NOT guarantee their federal companies. They also DO NOT do background checks. Hired a tree trimming company. Background check: The owner has criminal records in Colorado and Wisconsin including 6 (six) DUI's, domestic violence, assault, 3 pages of criminal offenses. He carries no vehicle insurance nor company insurance. HomeAdvisor only gathers money from their federal companies. Obviously anyone can get a listing with them. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Maurice responded and came within hours of my initial request concerning my A/C not cooling properly. He was able to clean and replace the capacitor in less than 2 hours and went above and beyond by testing my unit's performance (though it is less than 2 years old), and assuring that the correct amount of freon was in the unit. I was a little surprised at the cost personally, but I figured it was because he came on a Saturday. Besides, having this done (regularly) will greatly improve my unit's efficiency and reduce my electric bill. I will definitely use him again.

I needed some light remodeling done in my home. When I went on HomeAdvisor and listed what I needed contractors were calling so fast that I couldn't answer all of them. All 3 contractors I met with told me that there was no background checks done on them, that all they did was ask them a few questions and they were listed as qualified contractors, and they had to call the customer so quickly because they would lose the client if they didn't call immediately. They even made calls to clients while they were meeting with me for fear they would lose their business. I actually picked the most expensive contractor, which isn't indicative of their knowledge. What should've taken a week ended up being a month, and a huge argument because the owner never came around to check on his workers, who were less than qualified. I'd never use HomeAdvisor again.

I made more calls on my own than I can count and couldn't get an installer to either call back, or willing to do a small job. Within 30 minutes of contacting HomeAdvisor, installers were calling me. By that afternoon, I had hired someone and the job was completed 3 days later and it looks great! Will use HA from now on.
