    I purchased a 15,000 BTU Air Conditioner in April 2023. Then I purchased a 5 year warranty in February of 2024. This year the AC is no longer blowing cold air. I reported and gave all information asked for by the service department and I am still not getting any answers. They just keep telling me that it is being reviewed and expedited. I would stay away from purchasing Frigidaire air conditioners and especially their extended warranties.

    The box arrived at our front door on May 22, 2025 without notice from UPS. The box looked like it fell off the truck and it is very obvious that it had been previously opened and repackaged, as the flaps were unglued and secured with clear packing tape. The Window A/C unit is not supposed to be shipped on its side and we were expecting the normal shipping method of the unit inside a brown box, marked fragile with arrows stating "this side up". We must assume that the unit is damaged as that is why it was previously returned to Frigidaire by another customer. Repeated emails and a call to Customer Service for a return shipping label have been ignored. So, we have to keep the unit in our shed and instruct our Credit Card Company to reverse the charge.

    I had a warranty on an air conditioner. It stopped working. I called over a month ago. I had a lot of confusion talking to the customer service rep. I told him I could not fill out the online form because it was given to me through a New York City free air conditioning giveaway. They said no problem, they would fill out the form to me and put it to the back office. Over 1 month I have called four times and I get the same stupid script written to me. I have a reference number. Doesn't seem to matter to them. I cannot contact the department that is handling the replacement. It is starting to get ridiculous. I called the better Business bureau and I hope I can get a resolution for them. This is just mind boggling. I also have complained about the app they have to turn my appliance on and off never works. They have not resolved that issue for me. And it goes on and on. Never buy a Frigidaire appliance.

    I received my ac window unit and it will not come on and stay on. My unit from Walmart that was only 200 works better than this big one 🤦🏻‍♀️. This is the worse I’ve ever seen! My old one worked great but it quit working 😔.

    Sent me an AC unit that literally didn't blow cold air. Customer service was terrible. They hung up when I tried calling them and when you try to chat with them it takes them 5 minutes to reply to a message because they are talking to 3 people at once. I would never buy from this company again if their AC units weren't the only ones that fit into my buildings through the wall slots.

    I bought a 8000btu air and heat combo wall air conditioner and after 6 months it starting freezing up, the drain is clean the unit is new and looks new still inside, I only run the unit at night and it only lasted 6 months. $600 ac unit only lasting six months, ridiculous and their customer service is horrible. Wouldn't do anything about it so I guess I'm out $600. Fair warning don't buy their products. They are made like junk. No way are they made to last. Thanks for the crap product Frigidaire.

    Awful customer service department! Purchased a portable room air conditioner in May 2024 from Home Depot. Third time I used it, the cooling function cycles on & mostly off. Contacted Cust Svc on 6/21. Told it would need to be replaced and she created a warranty order. Told me I would need to wait 7-10 days to be contacted by their “back office”. Needless to say - No Contact. I’ve spoken to 4 different people and told the same thing. 4th person got frustrated with and told her "I will not accept that answer anymore" - she hung up on me! 5th person finally told me I needed to fill out a form with the same info as the very first had taken. Also asked for manager and she has not called me back days later. Their Cust Svc Dept is obviously managed by incompetency and lack of trained and knowledgeable people.

    Still no contact from them to resolve the defective a/c unit issue, it’s now 7/14. I’ve been patient but have lost it due to their lack of care or concern from Cust Svc. I’m going to write directly to the CEO, which I’ve never done, regarding what is happening,, NOT Happening under his rein. Suggesting this for everyone with similar issues. Realize items fail, but providing extremely poor service after purchase reflects much bigger problems in-house. Will be avoiding Frigidaire products going forward.

    Two weeks ago I went to retailers to buy a Frigidaire 15,100 btu 850 sq. ft. window air conditioner. Apparently NO ONE carries them anymore! I had to go online which I hate to do. I tried to order it through Home Depot. Every time I tried to order it, it was out of stock! I would get an email it was in stock, and try to order it, it was out of stock. This went on for a week. SO I went on Frigidaire's site and ordered it but couldn't put in the code to save 5%! Had to use the chat! Ordered July 4th, received July 9th. Put in July 11th, 4 1/2 hours it took to put it in! Didn't work! NOOOO cold air! Compressor didn't work! Looks like someone hit the thing in several places. Plug was smashed, had to pull out the one part of the plug to plug it into the outlet! Doesn't connect to my son's phone either.

    Now I am supposed to take this one out another 4 1/2 hours, and put a new one in another 4 1/2 hours!!!! DON'T call customer service, they are useless! First person didn't care. Second person ordered another air conditioner and UPS will call to pick the other one. Third person wouldn't give me the complaint department and after 33 minutes HUNG UP ON ME! Rude. Fourth person put in a complaint for me!!! I want someone calling me about this!!!! It is 84 degrees in my house! I can't sleep, sweating like crazy, don't want to eat, miserable and grouchy!!! Drinking water like crazy, we are in a heat wave!!!! I want the CEO and OWNERS of this company, to sweat like I have for 2 weeks!!!! Don't buy from FRIGIDAIRE!!!!

    Called Frigidaire customer service and they are not helpful in assisting me in any way to resolve my issue with my Air Conditioner unit 15BTU model number FFRE1533U10, serial number IK85024714. This unit is only 4 years old and not cooling and the best solution was to give a call to outside Advanced Solutions contact phone number 914-935-7510 however they currently don't have AC technicians. Called Back customer service center and the agent on the phone told me they could not do anything for me. This company does not care about customer satisfaction or product they sell to consumers. Please keep that mind when choosing Frigidaire for any appliances.

    I ordered a Frigidaire window air conditioner on June 1, 2024. It said 2 day air delivery. It is now July 8, 2024 and it still hasn't shipped! I had called each and every week with my order no. After 2 weeks they said the warehouse had lost my order no. It was sent again and after another 2.5 wks the lady I was emailing said there was still no word. The most horrendous, awful, terrible customer service I've ever experienced!!! I finally canceled my order today and it will take 7 to 10 business days to get my money back.

    I have a Frigidaire air conditioner. It is absolutely the worst piece of garbage I ever bought. It is now after 12 midnight on the east coast and my air conditioner beeps every 30 seconds while it is off or on. It is annoying as hell. The last summer this garbage is with me. I called customer service and guess what? It is a person from another country try who barely knows English or anything about the product. After being on the phone with her for what seemed like hours, I was told IT would email me to resolve the problem. No email was ever received after over a week. I DO NOT recommend anyone to buy their products. Terrible product and terrible customer service. I viewed their reviews and at least 70% were horror stories. I am sure the company will not respond to this review to help save a customer, and I am sure no one will ever read this honest review. Never Again.

    Bought new 10,000 BTU portable air conditioner from Lowe's August 2023. Problems began in April 2024 with cooling inconsistencies. I followed every manufacturing process. Still only cools for 10 minutes then just blows room temperature. The nightmare with their customer service. I keep sending in the photo tag and receipt for the claim and it still gets rejected. Some messages say wrong serial number. I have sent a clear photo to them 4 times. One rep said the first let of the SN should be X. However, this one says Y. There is no problem from my end. How many times do I have to submit the same information? Finally I was assured that they have the photo of the service tag. However, now they say again it is incorrect????

    They said a replacement would be sent in 10 days if everything was submitted. So now I spent 5 days on the phone and computer and was assured everything was OK?? So now I have (3) claim submissions that have all been suspended because of incompetence. NEVER buy a Electrolux or Frigidaire. My next move is the BBB, Electrolux direct complaint (not their usual customer service. I am not demanding except when dealing with companies who do not know their anus from a whole in the ground! To make it worst I was told it would take up to 10 days to replace my A/C. Don't know why they just would have sent a repair person to my home. Must be some serious problems with the A/C!

    Tonight - I called and got Raye - 8:15PM 4/30/24 --- The representative, product was unhelpful and product is a waste. Situation: Purchased two window A/Cs -; Service Model: FFRA051WAE1 - less than 2 weeks old. Product result after having someone set up: extremely low cool even when setting on max (blows like a low fan). Call result - over talked by Raye, no technicians available for on-site service, no next level technical support to troubleshoot beyond 1st level Raye.

    Raye extremely argumentative with the Amazon representative a part of our call. No ownership to forward email to next level management for further resolve. Raye said "no Supervisors, no next level support on staff after 8pm EST" - although hours on website show til 12AM EST. In the end - I'm stuck with two A/Cs. purchased that don't blow "cold air". And, an upcoming, anticipated hot summer. I'm understanding somewhat where the 1.8 review rating derives. Note: Training on not being argumentative with inbound callers.

    Hands down worst customer service ever. I purchased an AC that never worked. I provided all information they required and approved for replacement. I am waiting over 4 months for this replacement air conditioner. I have called countless times. Waste of my precious time! The same response is they will get back to me within 24 to 48 hours. AC was to have been delivered in 10 to 12 days. What a joke! I will never support this company again.

    Frigidaire doesn’t honor the warranty on the A/C wall unit. A technician came to my home and made up many excuses not to service my A/C. The technician didn’t like to take the air conditioner's temperature after I ask him five times. We had four technicians come to my home but since the A/C was under warranty they wouldn’t cover American Home Shield. I’m so shocked at how that technician behaved.

    THEY ARE RIPPING OFF AN ELDERLY, DISABLED, INDIGENT VETERAN! DISGUSTING COMPANY GARBAGE PRODUCTS. I would like to preface this review by telling you I tried to post it on the Frigidaire website. They rejected the review and in the rejection they included a list of all the reasons that they rejected you. I didn't do one thing on that list but they rejected the review anyways. It's obvious why. They're thieves. They're liars. They're scammers. They don't care who you are they are going to rip you off and they don't care who you report them to.

    Don't buy anything from them. They will send you garbage products and they will not stand behind them. 28 emails. 28 emails. Trying to get them to send me the product because they sent me a garbage product. First they told me that they couldn't help me until I gave them my name my address my telephone number etc. All the stuff that they can sell for profit. So I gave them all that then they demanded the serial number off of the air conditioner. I gave them that. Then they said okay thank you. All done. They weren't going to help me at all they just want it all my information because they can sell it for profit. L. Well I wasn't having that. I want a working air conditioner that's what I paid for. I want one.

    For the last 27 emails every single email they have to sent they demand this form this, form this form, this form, this form, this form. I have sent them every single thing they have asked for five times. A couple of things like the serial tag I've now sent them seven times. Every single email when I ask him what's going on, "You have to send us this form." I tell him, "I already sent it to you." It's one long email thread. All the attachments are right in the email thread. You can see them as soon as the email gets to your inbox. All they keep saying, "If you're not going to fulfill our request we're not going to send you an air conditioner. This is the process." There is no way to make these people understand I've sent them to them over and over and over again.

    Then a creative liar with the company said "you sent us the form with an erasure on it and we can't accept anything with an erasure." What a stupid lie. I filled the form out digitally. There is no erasure. I only needed to sign it and date it. I signed it I dated it. There's nothing to erase. There's no erasure. So they started in with that. "You have to send us the form X again. You have to send us back form." IT'S RIGHT IN THE EMAIL THREAD YOU LIARS! They just keep sending me emails telling me I have to send them the documents they request. THEY'RE ALL ATTACHED TO THE EMAIL THREAD YOU SCAMMERS! I keep telling them, "I sent them to you. I've sent them to you. I sent them to you."

    I send them the documents. They tell me I didn't send the documents. I filed with the Better Business Bureau. I filed with the Federal Trade Commission. I filed with my State's Attorney General because this is a scam and anybody who reads the email thread can see that. They don't care. They just keep right on lying and they just keep right on playing games. They're disgusting. So I called an attorney. That's the only way you're going to get anything out of these disgusting scammers. Don't buy anything from them. They produce garbage and this is the kind of games they play. They're not worth it. If you want to give money away give it to me I'm an elderly, disabled, indigent veteran who can't afford to be ripped off the way this company is ripping me off. Disgusting.

    I spent all my money on their product and they won't replace it so I have spent the entire summer in over 100° heat up to 110° heat for over a week with no air conditioner because they're thieves and will not replace a product that was defective out of the box. I have health conditions. I'm elderly. I'm disabled. I'm a veteran. They don't care. They're disgusting.

    Bought unit last year, stopped working after 6-months, EC code displayed. Told to unplug, wait 15-minutes, plug in. Unit only then has fan, not condenser working. Next day, same thing. Called Customer Service again, gave me repair company to call and repair would be at my expense. Called number, they do not repair dehumidifiers. Also, 45+ minutes on hold each time I called. Shameful.

    Unfortunately I purchased a Frigidaire Gallery 8000 btu Inverter Quiet temp smart air conditioner February 2022. Thinking Frigidaire was a superior company but now I am sadly mistaken! I sent in my warranty card, good for one year. I used the air conditioner from March to October first. I was very pleased with how well it cooled my bedroom and indeed was quiet. Started it back up first of March 2023 and it stops and displays an error code EC 07. I try all the troubleshooting tactics to no avail.

    Today is March 27, after trying to call customer service for 27 days I finally get someone on the line. It took 13 times calling today to finally get a person that doesn’t drop the call. So, I am passed my warranty. But for heaven’s sake, for an appliance to go bad after being in use for 7 months is beyond ridiculous. Luckily I kept my noisy old one, probably 15 years old but at least it still works! The experience I have had to deal with, inferior product with inferior customer service has me totally disgusted. After reading all the complaints about Frigidaire products it is no surprise. DO NOT buy Frigidaire products. It really is quite a shame that consumer goods don’t last like they use to, and customer service is a thing of the past. Shame on you Frigidaire, never again!

    The e-mail below, received from Frigidaire shows their attitude and also my original product review posted to their website. The product was received in original packaging from Lowe's 1/30/2023 and is needed to create a microclimate for my disabled daughter. Frigidaire Does Not Honor Warranty. Bought this product from Lowe's and it was delivered today from a Lowe's distribution center in its original packaging. The exhaust hose was broken. Tried to contact Frigidaire, which was possible only via text and only after multiple attempts via phone, website and text. Stated the issue, texted picture and label, and was told the unit is a previously owned unit and Frigidaire will not honor warranty.

    Called Lowe's and they stated it was a new unit delivered to their distribution center by Frigidaire as a new product, which is plausible as the product was in its original packaging and shrink wrap. Then went to Frigidaire website and was able to register the product without a problem. Clearly, company is trying fraudulently to avoid warranty claims or reships returned defective product as new.

    Freidrich in bedroom almost 19 years old and good but next year will need new one. Was great 18 years. Frigidaire living room did not stay working as air conditioner more than 4 seasons warm air. Waste of money. Never bought any a/c other than Freidrich in all the years as senior before. I Will never, never, never buy a frigidaire product again. Waste of over 500 dollars, pay almost double and it will last 4x the amount of years and superior obviously product freidrich. No customer service either, just tried a number not in order

    I have a casement style Frigidaire A/C in my bedroom, and a thru-the-wall Frigidaire A/C in my living room of my condo - both perform well, have intuitive remote controls, and have lasted very well. A friend had a daughter diagnosed with MS, so we had to scramble some years ago to get A/Cs quick before she could come home from the hospital - with a casement style Frigidaire A/C running 24 hours per day, it still lasted 8 years, and was replaced with another - Also have one other Frigidaire casement style in another window of the house - has lasted well, and performed well for years. When I needed a part damaged in shipping, control panel - Frigidaire sent me the part quickly, at no charge.

    Landlord provided this noisemaker about 5 years ago. The fan is too loud. Though it is rated to cool our entire one bedroom apt, it will not cool the room it is in on warm days. This place is airtight and well insulated. Yet it runs and runs and runs. If you examine the good reviews here you will see a pattern: "good value", "easy to use", "sleek stylish design" written by our friends in some other country. Do better Consumer Reports, you have not verified anything. These units are poorly engineered junk not to be purchased at any price. Lowe's, Best Buy, Walmart are all in on the scam. There should be a class action suit against Frigidaire. Not helping global warming by building junk.

    This is with regards to Frigidaire's customer support/warrant department. We just purchased a Frigidaire air conditioning window unit until our new HVAC is installed. The unit was installed per every step of the installation manual. The unit was running for approximately 45 minutes before I called customer support/warranty department per their website. Long story short, the error was on my end because I had set the fan to High Fan, which on the dial is the highest setting you can rotate the knob to, instead of High Cool Fan which was the 2nd notch from the end of the rotation furthest from the Off selection. You may see how this can be easily overlooked. We figured that out.

    However, before we figured this out, the unit was running for approximately 45 minutes before I called customer support/warranty department per their website. The lady I spoke with on the phone was immediately rude, negative, and completely unhelpful. I told her we just purchased the unit, and it's not cooling. Instead of going through some initial easy checks, she begins to give me the 3rd degree: where did I buy this, how did I buy this, when did I buy this. She did ask for a model number and serial number. I gave her the model number, but she cut me off in conversation before I could give her the serial number. It's clear by the model number we purchased a new unit. Why then cut me off when attempting to give them the serial number?

    Then, she asked me if I waited to install the unit after the delivery driver dropped it off at my house. I stated I waited an hour, but I read the installation and user guide manual before doing anything with the unit. I told her there is nothing in either of those manuals that state one should wait x-amount of time. Again, it was the way she was saying these things. Like, "are you stupid?", "you're a liar". Honestly, it was worse than dealing with AT&T customer service. I finally hung up, and we attempted to figure out the problem ourselves and did. It's brand-spanking new. After reading several reviews here, I will definitely report back if the unit stops working within the reasonable time period it should be working.

    My church purchased Frigidaire Room Air Conditioner for my home in June 2021. It worked for only 2 1/2 months and stopped working. The unit is leaking oil from the back of the unit, so I called about the warranty on this unit. Called in August for service. No show, then I called back and they reschedule another service call. Still NO SHOW again. Called again. They said the work order is still open but it is 7:30pm at night. REALLY? No Show. It is now September 28, 2021 still no repairman to look at my AC Unit. Where is the service for your product that is under Warranty?? Bad customer service. No one can answer my question "Is there a really repairman for Frigidaire?" No service.

    Purchased mobile home in 2019 with Frigidaire central air installed June of 2019. Unit not cooling and called for service. Company found a leaking compressor. Frigidaire claims a ten year parts warranty but if you are not the original purchaser on the AC unit the warranty goes to 5 years. Called about part and local distributor did not want go honor warranty. Another distributor would cover the part but has to be shipped and I have to pay for the shipping which is over 100 dollars. When it comes in to be installed I have to pay another 1300 dollars on top on the money already spent to diagnose the problem. So far have waited four days for the part and in the meantime it's been over 80 degrees here. My wife and I are both senior citizens on a fixed income. The repair person also told me that the units have a history on the coils rusting out. I called the manufacturer and they don’t care. I told them the only good use for the unit is a boat anchor.

    Bought a new home 3 years ago. Home was equipped with a heat pump. This unit is made by Frigidaire. Been in this home now for 3 years. The heat pump has failed every year so far. First an outside coil. Then another outside coil. The whole outside unit was replaced in January of 2018. Had unit serviced in fall of 2018 and it was low on freon (again) no leak was found? Unit worked until fall of 2019 then down again. Very low on freon again. This time was another service person as the installer didn't want to work on it anymore. This person found a small leak in the A coil (inside part). Just had that replaced at over $700.00. The part was under warranty but labor is not.

    I have been in contact with Frigidaire and was basically told that's the way it goes. It has a warranty. This service person told me to save my money as I will be replacing the whole unit. Only a matter of when. He told me (as others have) that Frigidaire units are not reliable at all and always fail and end up being replaced. I can not believe equipment like this is allowed to be sold. This is our 4th home. The last one we lived in for 30 years with the same heat and air unit the whole time. Oh it needed to have repairs and service but that was over a 30 year span. We sold the home with that unit still doing a good job.

    If Frigidaire units can't go a year without major failure how can I expect to be happy with this garbage. I am saving to put a new heat pump in my new house now. I urge you to stay away from Frigidaire and the people who insist they are good. I also invite the Frigidaire company to contact me and explain to me why after all this work and replaced parts my "new" heat pump of only 3 years old is such a piece of junk. What can they say to me (to anyone) who is unfortunate enough to own one of these units that can make us feel better, or happy with what we own (stuck with). So the invitation is put out to Frigidaire!

    The unit is ONLY 2 months old and has lots of mold/mildew on the inside as you look through the vent. The backing is made of styrofoam! Cheap and not cleanable! Beware and do not purchase for the health of you and your family. Frigidaire will NOT do anything about this and proceeds to tell me to pay for a service provider to clean the unit at my cost!
