It had an energy saving device which helped reduce my summer electric bills. It was easy to operate. The air conditioner produced cold air efficiently for over 20 years. It was very quiet. There was little vibration. The operation of the unit had energy efficiency. In 20 years I only had two service calls to have it repaired and one was simply a freon leak. It was a room air conditioner that fit into the wall. It fit securely and did not detract from the room decor. It came in decorator colors that were neutral so that it blended well with my living room decor. It was very non intrusive. This air conditioner operated efficiently for over 20 years. After I sold the house the new owners were still using it in the humid New England summers. Two service calls in all that time speaks volumes for its reliability.

This air condition is really good, it is easy to install, works very well, program the temperature you want and let the cool air begin. A very good air conditioner, good warranty, and good price. We went from hot to comfortable all summer long. This product is very easy to use and really works well at keeping you cool with a digital temperature display. You always know you can rely on being cool, easy to use and does what it is meant to do - keep you cool and comfortable even on the hottest days!!
The appearance of this product is simple yet stylish and has all the modern technology you want such as digital and programmable displays, temperature settings, and easy to direct the cool air any direction you want. This product is very sturdy and reliable, it is built to last with reliable parts and components. My last one I purchased before I purchased this newer one worked for over 8 years with no problems, we replaced it because we wanted a newer style and energy saver.

Helpful in more ways than one, this brand was cost effective in all models, and the one I purchased worked better than I'd hope for. It was clearly superior to its competitors. Even ones with better reviews and a higher price. The cooling was quick and comfortable. On high settings it took about 5 minutes to get to the right temperature in a huge room. Air felt clean and clear at all times/not too loud either, but not completely silent. Looked somewhat mainstream but had unique elements. Very modern compared to generic brands. Others didn't have the quality look that my model gave off. I had the thing for over 4 years without a single issue. The reason I decided to get a different one came from a dog chewing the wire. The unit itself is perfect.

The Frigidaire air conditioner is easy to use, has valuable settings for low or high fan, cools off rooms very fast. The air is very cold, and the unit is very quiet compared to most air conditioners. The Frigidaire air conditioner cools off the room very fast. It is a very durable and high-quality air conditioner that requires very little maintenance. It is much quiet than many of the air conditioners on the market today. The Frigidaire air conditioner is available in white or black, is not very big (can fit good in a corner of the house in somewhat small spaces). I have had our Frigidaire air conditioner for 5 years now, and it continues to perform like the first day I bought it. The air remains cold. It is very slightly noisier than when I bought it, but it's basically a small hum sound.

We had absolutely no problems mechanically at all with it. It was easy to operate and to shift the air in the direction needed. The price was reasonable. The air conditioner had a very clean look and looked good when put in the window to set things up for that nice cool air! It fit in the window easily and you can make adjustments to make it fit proper. We were pleased how it came out after we fit it in the window. It worked very well even on the hottest days. I can't complain because it kept a large room quite cool on the hottest days.

Not too expensive. Bought it over five years ago and it's still going strong. Definitely looking forward to buying me next one. Hopefully the one I have lasts. It cooled off my apartment within minutes. Couldn't have asked for a better product. It is a normal white air conditioner. Same color as most other in the market. The appearance is nothing out of the ordinary. It fits my window perfectly. Blasting out that cold air is what I want in an air conditioner. The remote device is not the greatest in distance.

This air conditioner definitely help me beat the heavy hot summers of New England! It's safe to say I'd never be able to sleep at night without an air conditioner - especially not in my condo! I was finally able to catch some well needed shuteye! Everything worked fine, as soon as it was all set up! My dad and I went over the instructions and did some tests to make sure it was all well, and it surely was. I feel more comfortable leaving my dog at home for a while, knowing he can be nice and cool despite the summer heat!! It looks like an air conditioner, though slightly more streamlined. Luckily it doesn't look anything like my grandparents' old air conditioners!! I've always felt fairly confident with my programming and was always able to leave it off or on and not come home to a frigid winter wonderland, or a sweltering swampy bog.

My Frigidaire air conditioner was able to keep my home cool during hot weather with little trouble and was fairly energy efficient. It never broke down or experienced any malfunction until it was 15 or so years old. It was very efficient at keeping my house cool during hot weather and had a thermostat that allowed for fine adjustment for what temperature we wanted. The main component was a large metal box that housed a large fan. It was originally placed on the side of the house, where we camouflaged it behind a deck-patio. My Frigidaire air conditioner was very reliable, as I experienced no major problems with it for its lifetime of 15 years. It was only after 15 years did it become unreliable to use, mostly because it became worn out.

All appliances are costly but I got my money's worth. It has stood up to 3 teenagers 4 adults and 4 grandchildren. I am pretty happy that it hasn't broken down or given me any problems in the years I have owned it. It has held up under great stress of a big family. It has really kept on going and going! It has kept me happy from having to buy another one. It looks like most any normal run of the mill fridge. Nothing special but it has endured much! Thank goodness it has really been a good buy. Could never complain! I could not be happier with its reliability!

It lasted a long time. It kept me worry free knowing it wouldn't go out on my kids or me during the hot summer time. We still have it! It doesn't cool as well but works great in a small room. It cooled our living room fast! Our living room is a huge size and we were always in there. We would leave it on energy saver mode and get home to a fresh feeling living room in this Texas heat. It wasn't too big or bulky. It fit just right in our window. It was digital settings so you could tell exactly what temperature it was at. Very reliable! Plus our electricity bill would not skyrocket.

Very valuable for a window unit. It kept most of the house cool and didn't raise the electric bill too much. Last a nice length of time. Has a temperature option to turn up or down. Has a auto feature. Very good brand. I really liked the performance since mine was in my bedroom window and living room. I never had to worry about getting too hot and has the auto switch off once it gets to a certain degree. Ours was silver and black with a remote switch to turn off or on and up and down. Easy access to clean the filter but filter doesn't show. Very reliable. We got ours at least seven years ago at our old house that didn't have central heat and air and we moved about a year ago and it lasted until then or probably even longer if we could have brought it with us.

Worked well. No complaints. Did freeze up on a rare occasion when it was early fall and temps were close to same temp in house. Price was affordable. Happy with the performance of the system. Reliable except for the temporary freeze ups that would happen which I think was due to lack of airflow to the unit.

Purchased a 20000 BTU unit to cool the entire floor of 3 rooms. It had temperature control, timer for to set to come on just before coming home from work. Cooled the entire 3 room floor with no effort without running constantly. Would only run until it reached the preset temperature then turn off until it got warmer again. It worked also to remove the humidity on a very humid day. Also when the outside temperature reached high 90's, 100's the cost of running the window unit was definitely cheaper than two smaller units used on the same floor. We thought of purchasing a 2nd unit for the bottom floor however the cool air traveling down the stairs made it possible to save money by not purchasing another unit.
It was not obtrusive in sight, well designed and most of the controls were hidden behind an easy to access panel. Multiple adjustable air vents made it easy to control and spread the air in multiple directions. Never had a problem unless the area electric went out. It was very quiet - you could hear while talking on the phone near the unit. It lasted longer than any other unit I had purchased in the past.

The time that I owned this A.C. was a real long time ago. But I would say that for what I paid for it - it was a good value for the money that it cost. The Air Conditioner definitely kept the room cool which made doing homework and sleeping bearable in the really hot days of summer. And it lasted a pretty long time. It was reliable. I don't recall the A.C. breaking down in the middle of a Heat Wave or anything like that and it never blew out "hot air". It was a good A.C. for the price. It performed quite well. It never malfunctioned and I don't recall ever needing to have it replaced or repaired. It worked well in Heat Waves and definitely cooled off whatever room it was in. I did not have Central Air Conditioning - I had individual window units. I don't recall ever having any major issue with its performance.
It was somewhat "boxy" looking - like most A.C.'s back in the day. The front of it was attractive enough for an Air Conditioner. Nothing real special just an ordinary looking A.C. The cool air was always cold and it circulated around the room just fine.

It doesn't run excessively. Our energy bill is not too high. We have not had to repair our air conditioner. The air conditioner performs at an energy efficient, good rate. It cools the large house effectively. Our energy bill is a reflection of the performance. It is plain looking and out of sight so it is not bothersome to look at. It does not interfere with outdoor decor. We like the Traditional yet plain look of the air conditioner. The air conditioner continues to be reliable after many years of use through the hot and dry summers of Sacramento. We can always rely on it to keep our home cool.

I inherited it with the home and used it for about 5 years with good performance and low maintenance. It was 7500 BTU's. This is a great AC with many features, good looks, digital display, remote control, and it cools the room very well. I'm using it installed in a window for my bedroom. It was white. It appears very sturdy and well-made and weighs only about 50 lbs. It keeps the entire room chilly (68 F) on the lowest fan setting. Another plus is that I've not been bothered by any water dripping inside or out of the unit, which has been a problem of mine in other units.

The air conditioner helped keep my home manageable through hot summer months. Without it I probably would not have been able to stay home and enjoy watching television or playing games. The air conditioner worked well to keep one room cool, but it was not powerful enough to keep other rooms in the house cool. It was basically like a more powerful fan. The performance was decent for one room, but not an entire house. The air conditioning unit looked fine, basically what you would expect in a generic air conditioning unit. It is not a reason to purchase the product or to not purchase the product. The air conditioner worked reliably throughout the year. It was reliable even in the hotter months of the year and served its purpose.

It's digital, easy to use and management and update with today technology. Love how manageable, easy for kids to use. The value I have received from a Frigidaire air conditioner... can breathe and function. Living in the east in the summer has become uncomfortable. The hot days, hot nights, humidity has made it impossible to function, sleep, and keep a chipper attitude. It will keep you cool enough that you will not be soaked in sweat in the middle of the night. Without my new air condition I had nights when I was so soaked in sweat that I thought somehow I landed on the Titanic. It's quiet, and circulates the air much better than whole house air conditioning. Seriously. Totally easy to install and worth every hard working penny. I am considering purchasing these for the office. You turn it on, it begins to cool. For the cost if I get a few hot summers out of it I will be completely satisfied. Once again, the installation is a breeze. Cool having to come home to a cool room. It chills my heart. It's the ice in my ice cube.

It even worked in the Chicago winter, it blew in cool fresh air from outside into rooms that only had one window. Not freezing outside air but like a fan to circulate. I wish I had that air conditioner back, my new one has never worked as well. It worked all the time. It kept small spaces at a controlled temperature. It hardly every needed to be checked, cleaned or maintained. Small window unit, perfect fit, not overly noticeable or obvious. It filled a normal size window, but did not stick out in the way, inside or outside the house. It would tell you when the filter needed to be checked. I purchased a 15000 BTU in window AC for $525 + tax last year. This year the control board broke and it's gone crazy. My house is hotter than the outside and although I have a receipt it is not safe to go through the attic boxes to look for it. Not until AC is working that is. With the receipt Lowe's would replace if bought within the last 12 months and Frigidaire would repair within the last 24 months, but without it I'd have to pay. That much is understandable, however if I paid for the repair and then produced the receipt they will not reimburse me the repair costs even though it would prove the product was faulty. The fact that I paid with a credit card with transaction records doesn't mean anything.
The control board would cost $95, but if the part is faulty they absolutely will not refund it unless an authorized service tech installs it. The nearest one is so far away. They charge $95 just to show up even though it takes a few seconds to plug it in. That's way too much compared to the AC cost. They should refund faulty parts and they should reimburse service costs if it can be established that the service was covered under warranty.

I purchased a window AC unit for a house being built along with many other appliances. I called Frigidaire with the model number and asked their parts department if I needed a wall sleeve if not being put into a window. I was told there was a wall sleeve for that unit and I purchased it during that call. A little over 90 days later, I am actually putting in the AC unit and while reading the directions, realize it does not need a separate wall sleeve. (Fault #1) They should have been able to tell me that information before I bought it. So I call Frigidaire back and am told it is past the strict 90 day return policy. But, during that call, they realize that they sent the wrong sleeve. So they offer to send me the correct sleeve, 2nd day air. They won't take back the wrong sleeve because it's past the 90 days, but they will 2nd day air the correct one. Does that make good financial sense?
Thinking it's more expensive to send me another one, I ask to speak to a supervisor. She repeats the return policy and when I question the sense in that, she ends the phone call stating a call tag will be issued for the return. 3 weeks later I called with the wall sleeve still sitting at my house and immediately spoke with another supervisor (I have these names) and was told that he would check into this and get back to me within 3-4 business days. 3 weeks later I call back and speak to a Customer Resolution Supervisor (I believe) and am told that she will look into this matter and get back to me in 2-3 business days. 3 weeks later I call back and am directed to a "Corporate" consumer support person, who once again, said a call tag was supposed to be issued, and would get back to me in the next couple days. That is as of today.
Frigidaire's website for consumers shows a toll free number for customer support, but redirects you to call a (706) area code number and then encourages you to try back later. Yesterday, all customer support staff were unavailable per message. What a runaround just to get some response & resolution! I have never had such poor customer service in 58 years, which is why I'm taking the time to write this. Frigidaire is owned by LG. I will never buy another Frigidaire appliance if that is what I have to go thru for help.

I bought a Frigidaire air conditioner from PC Richards last week. After installing I noticed a very loud sound emanating from the machine. I called the Frigidaire/Electrolux support line and was given a number to call about the issue. I called and explained the issue and the customer service tech stated that they would not send a technician, even though my warranty was valid and in full force, because they do not do repairs to 12000 BTU or less air conditioners. They just refund the money paid upon proof of valid receipt after 30 days.
I informed them that this is not in the warranty literature. They acknowledged that fact but stated that they have an internal policy that states they will not repair 12000 BTU or lesser air conditioners. I asked for a copy of this language and they did not provide such. Rather they just restated in writing their position. I further explained that I cannot buy a new A/C unit for what I paid because it was on a deep sale, but they would have none of it. I want to sue them in small claims court in NY, can anyone help me?

I bought a Frigidaire Air Conditioner on August 6, 2012 and at that time purchased an extended warranty. About July 5, 2015 my AC started to blow hot air. I called Frigidaire a few days later and was given an appointment for July 21 at which time a "technician" came to assess the problem. A part was necessary and he said it would take a few days and then he would install it. The part was not ordered until July 24th and arrived at my apartment on July 31st. I called Top Digital (that's the repair place) on August 1st and they came to install the part, today, August 4th. It was not the part that was needed and the repairman said he orders the smallest part first and then when it doesn't work he orders the next one. The AC needs a compressor he thinks and if that doesn't work Frigidaire will possibly give me a new AC.
I spoke with Frigidaire and they are again ordering the part to be delivered to me and I will again need to wait for some other repair service to install and see if that's what's needed. My frustration is painful. I have needed my AC. My only recourse is to write this review? If I need to wait beyond three more days I will call television stations. As I sit waiting I want everyone to know not to buy a Frigidaire product and definitely not to buy an extended warranty.

I called Frigidaire and was told to spray Clorox through the louvers as there was no way to open it. I threw it out. I hope I don't have to throw out the fridge too. This is my third unit to go out in as many years. The latest one was bad out of the box. The men and woman who design these units should be ashamed of themselves. Their electronic control module is abysmal. Set the unit on Econ Mode to 68 degrees and the unit will just turn off while the room is 70 plus degrees. The Cool mode is no better. The compressor cycles on and off before the room ever reaches the desired setting. This last unit turns the compressor on for 5 minutes and shuts it off for 3 minutes. The unit is running at 60%??? It maybe 25000 BTU but you can't get the compressor to stay running long enough to cool 700 sq ft let alone 1600 sq ft.. Take if from me, I have owned 4 of these units now. Never again! Call customer service - they sent a technician from Blue Ridge Heating and Hearth, he diagnosed the problem but didn't fix. Scheduled 2 guys to come fix the leak - office staff at Blue Ridge were not friendly and seemed unconcerned just doing a job.
Today 2 technicians came out to weld leak. After 30 minutes call me and say they cannot fix air conditioner because not sure problem is covered under warranty. I call Frigidaire - the girls there were very nice but informed me that because this unit is being used in a commercial setting and not a home setting it voids the warranty. The only way I could get it to stop was to unplug it from the wall. It also has mold on the inside. Now, it is barely blowing air even though the air is still cool. I spent close to 500 bucks on this AC and I'm pretty sure my warranty has expired (of course). I bought a small $120 Frigidaire window air conditioner last year (2013). It is the Frigidaire AC 5000 BTU FRA052XT7. It worked fine for about a month then stopped getting cold... The room it is installed in is no more than 12 ft x 12 ft, way below the instructions max room size. This was last year. I am a struggling college student that is also disabled so removing it and taking it back myself is out of the question (I don't even own a car). I left it until about 2 weeks ago when it started to get really hot where I live. I turned it on and it worked great for a while ...
Today I come home from work and it's blowing air but it's not cold even though it's set as high as it can go... Going against my better instincts, I took it out of the window. It slipped in my hands a bit and now I have a huge gash across my wrist that looks like I tried to kill myself (can't wait to explain this at work and college). I also hurt my back during this (I have severe spinal cord injuries from an auto accident). After I got it out, I took off the face plate and gave it a good vacuuming and air cleaning. I replaced the unit in the window and turned it on... It blew cold for about 2 minutes then quit ...
This really sucks because as I said above I am disabled. I also live on the third floor of my building and it gets really hot up here. On top of all that, I take care of a couple rescue cats one of which has a heart defect and the temperature can affect his condition and cause him to die... I am very disappointed in Frigidaire's product... I selected their brand because I was under the impression that they were a good company with good products... How wrong I was... Thanks for using the unethical practice of planned obsolescence, Frigidaire... I will never purchase another one of your products again...

I contacted Nordyne Inc. and received lack of response, no concern and blame game. Nordyne Inc. states they are warranting the part replacement. However, labor costs are the consumer’s responsibility which is very costly. Part of the warranty states "Delivering peace of mind unit after unit", "Extending the life of your unit", "Built to last".
I have emailed the CEO, Mr. Dave LaGrand, stating there is something wrong, and new products should not require replacement. I also indicated to the CEO that the internet has numerous complaints from BBB, consumers and contractors on the same issues I am having. Additionally, a lawyer documented an article in a local paper regarding a consumer complaint. Consumers are financially burdened and contractors are losing business and/or their companies due to these issues.
