Our editor’s take
Everything Breaks seems to be a legitimate warranty company with transparent plans, pricing and terms. If you’re looking for a home warranty with flexible coverage, it might be a good option for you. Its plans aren’t totally a la carte, though, so you might look elsewhere if you want cheaper coverage for just a few appliances or systems.
Everything Breaks requirements
Keep in mind that while your plan starts the day you sign up, there’s a 30-day waiting period before your products are eligible for coverage. And, because Everything Breaks provides extended warranties and not insurance policies for home appliances and systems, only damage from normal wear and tear is covered.
You also have to pay your $75 deductible each time a technician visits your home, even if it’s for the same claim.
If you have an electronics warranty plan, keep your receipts (Everything Breaks says you may need to show these when opening claims). Only electronics 36 months old or newer when you sign up are eligible. You also have to register other products you buy within 30 days of purchase, and coverage starts when the manufacturer’s warranty expires.

You’ll keep your coverage for as long as you pay your monthly fee or until the end of your annual contract.

Everything Breaks FAQ
What is Everything Breaks?
Everything Breaks is an extended warranty company with coverage options for your car, home and electronics. Extended warranties cover wear and tear for the products listed in the plan. It’s not the same as a manufacturer’s warranty or a home or auto insurance policy.
How does Everything Breaks work?
Everything Breaks fixes your appliances or systems when they fail because of wear and tear from regular use. When this happens, you call the company at its 24/7 line or request service through your customer portal or app. Repairs can be scheduled for the same day. You’ll pay a $75 deductible when the service technician comes to fix the item and be reimbursed for other costs (up to your agreement’s limit).
Where is Everything Breaks available?
As of publishing, Everything Breaks offers home warranty plans throughout most of the U.S. The few exceptions are California, Hawaii, Oklahoma, Washington, D.C., Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming.
Is Everything Breaks legit?
Everything Breaks seems to be a legitimate warranty company, and it’s been in business since 2017. At the time of publishing, however, we don’t have enough reviews to verify its legitimacy.
